What an amazing place! Was needed a dealership to take my VW Passat to after just relocating to RI from Metro DC. Scott was referred to me (and highly recommended by) friends who have taken their car there forever and love them!!. I set up an appointment and when I arrived, I spoke with Sean and arranged to have oil changed, tires checked and rebalanced and filters changed. After the work was completed, Sean answered all of my questions and offered more information about things to watch for in the future and I was soon on my way. I have driven several Acuras and a few Hondas for the majority of my life and stumbled upon my Passat at the beginning of the pandemic (thought I would just purchase a car instead of continuing with sky high payments for my Honda). I purchased the Passat from a Honda dealership in VA. Shortly after buying it, the air conditioning system went. The dealership also told me they had added "new" tires (4 tires - 3 different brands, not great shape) but I ended up replacing them as well. Having never owned a VW, this was a new brand for me and I usually look for a good dealership to help with repairs or assistance. After coming to Rhode Island and receiving the top-notch service that I did from Scott this morning, I know I have found a great team to help with my car and look forward to working with them in the future. - They also have some really great VW's in their showroom and on their lot - especially this one..

In today's crazy car market, it's nice to find a dealership who doesn't mark up above MSRP. A little delayed in writing this review, though I have an excuse. I have been enjoying my new ride!!! My husband (Robert) and I had been searching for a second vehicle so I can cruise around in with our puppy (Hennessey) while hubby is at work. We had a specific budget and parameters in which we wanted to find the right vehicle that would suit my individual driving needs and our family's needs overall. While conducting our search, when I first saw the "2014 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan 4dr Auto SE,1.8T ", it spoke-rather, called to me. I was immediately intrigued by it. My husband being practical about our search encouraged me to view and test drive other possibilities. I however, was set on this Jetta. We had a lot of questions so we wrote them down ensuring we would not forget anything. Our first contact person at Scott VW was when we sent an e-mail inquiring about the Jetta and received a quick reply from Selena Motta, Internet Sales Manager. We sent her our list of questions and we were impressed with how promptly and efficiently she responded to us. SWe still had other cars to look at, which we did, though she let us know that the Jetta was a popular vehicle being looked at by other customers. After visiting other dealerships, it was decided we felt most comfortable with Scott VW and most of all, Selena. She was very helpful and if there was something she did not know, she would get back to us quickly when she had the answer. Selena absoultely went above and beyond to provide us with excellent service. As you can see, we ultimately purchased our vehicle. The vehicle is for me, but as you can see the family is quite pleased with our purchase. Thank you Scott VW and a huge THANK YOU to Selena Motta for all you did for us!!!

I bought a Taos from Scott back in December. Great customer service from Chris Wall. Not overbearing at all and I didn’t feel pressured to buy. He was very knowledgeable about all of the cars that I looked at and his opinion was really helpful. Chris also worked hard to make sure that I got my car delivered in time, which was very challenging at the time because of Covid and supply issues. I would definitely recommend Scott to anyone else who’s looking to buy a car without all of the nonsense and sketchiness that you get from larger dealerships.

The prices here don't need to be negotiated, you'll be satisfied with the minimal employee intervention in your car buying experience as well as their honest knowledge on financing as well as VW, of course. The prices as they are are remarkable but I am sure they would be willing to negotiate with a serious buyer. After only spending a couple of hours at the dealership, my plates were on my car and was ready to be picked up two days later after it was detailed. They even accommodated to my schedule and allowed me to pick the car up after hours. Great and honest dealership.

We had a terrific experience with Scott. I contacted all our local VW dealers with specific questions and Chris Wall at Scott was by far the most prompt and informative. (It really helps to have a salesperson who can handle email.) This carried over to our in-person interaction, where he was very pleasant and professional, and avoided all the negative stereotypes that car salespeople sometimes have. After we thought we had settled on a deal, it turned out there was some confusion, but Chris stepped up and resolved it in our favor. We had some more steps to take after delivery, and he was prompt at scheduling them and making sure it got done in a timely manner. I wanted to take the time to write a review about my experience at Scott VW. The staff there is very friendly. I felt like I was walking into a buddies place. Loved the classic bus and beetle on the floor. Great atmosphere in the show room. Folks talked cars and classic rock. I was drawn to them because they are family owned and have a solid history. Their Prices are very fair, more competitive than some of the smaller used car dealers and they have a good selection. Tom was great answering my questions as we toured through the cars. I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for. I never felt pressured on the sale or in the finance room (thanks for the oil changes to sweeten the deal). They went above and beyond to accommodate my special needs in the buying process and also took care of the inspection and registration. I feel good knowing that the car has been fully inspected by their certified mechanics and I look forward to doing future business with them. This dealership was absolutely astounding. It blew all my expectations out of the water. This is my first time buying cars from a non-used car dealership and they were willing to do things I would have never expected! Dennis was able to get me to go in and put the prospective car on a lift. The foreman, Scotty and one of their mechanics Aaron, took the time to walk through the car with me as I asked questions and explain to me everything I needed to know. As a car enthusiast i already had a good idea of what to look for, but they took the time at the end of their work day to literally show me everything and explain all the nuances. I went into the service department for a routine oil change last week. When I got into my car, I noticed that the window tint on my passenger side window was scratched considerably from top to bottom. I went back into the shop for an explanation and hopefully a resolution. The manager of the service department was not available, so a concrete decision/resolution could not be made. I was a bit disappointed with the way I was spoken to by one of the employees, which I expressed. The following week I received a prompt and courteous phone call from Kim Scott herself. She had me send her photographs of the damage via email and called me back promptly after receiving the images. Although she didn't know how the damage to the widow had been done, she offered to pay for the full cost of replacing my window tint, no questions asked. She even took the time to call the auto salon of MY CHOICE to schedule an appointment for the tint to accommodate my busy schedule. Kim also addressed my dissatisfaction with the employees behavior and I received a sincere apology. Kim truly went above and beyond to promptly resolve this issue and was empathetic and sincere throughout the process. Thank you, Kim!

Let me tell you guys I've had the best experience at this dealership thanks to Tom and Mike (Service Advisor's). I didn't know these guys from a hole in the wall but yet treated me like they knew me for years. These guys treated me like customer made of Gold. I went in there for a heater core problem, these guys found the problem the SAME day and then gave me my estimation on price and put me in a rental car until my car was fixed (about 3 days). Through the three days my car was being taken care of they kept me updated with the status quo of my car which was quite awesome. When I arrived to pick up my car it was exactly the price they promised me (No hidden fees or expenses added). I totally satisfied with my experience here as I will definitely visit again. We went there Saturday looking at a used Tiguan we spotted online. We drove it and decided that that year and trim level was not for us. Chris was extremely helpful he guided us in the right direction and answered every question we had. He was extremely knowledgeable when it came to the vehicles he was selling explained all the features inside and out. He took the time and showed us several different Tiguans. By the end of the day he got us into a 2018 Tiguan that had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. He wasn’t pushy didn’t try to upsell us like some of the other dealerships he gave us time to think and really make the right decision without being rushed. We will definitely be using Scott vw when it’s time to purchase a vehicle again.

I hated car dealerships. I hated their service departments even more. But, Scott VW has changed my opinion. I have been so thrilled with Scott VWs service department. In my 40 years of driving and having my car serviced, i have never come across a service department as honest, helpful, friendly, and competent as Scott's. In more than one case, they have gone above and beyond what they should have done. A few years ago, my GTI hit a pothole and after an alignment it still didn't feel right. They gave me a loaner and worked on my car and tightened and adjusted every nut and bolt to factory specifications and gave me back a car than handled like a new car. They did not charge me for this because it was important to them for me to be satisfied with their service. In addition, the waiting area is comfortable, has excellent free wi-fi and a machine that pours a decent espresso. Overall, they have never failed to provide the best possible service and make every accommodation possible - from loaners to rides to and from Scott VW. I appreciate them.

I worked with Dennis Holley and Nancy Mancini to buy a CPO'ed GTI. I worked with Dennis when I test drove the and purchased the gti. He was very calm and professional and did not apply the typical "dealer pressure". It was a treat test driving the car and working out a very fair deal with Dennis. He works with you which is refreshing. Nancy set up the test drive and worked with me after I purchased the car. She was very professional and astute with her calls and followups. After I purchased the car the trunk latch actuator gave out after a week of the purchase. She set up the appointment and was able to get it fixed within the day free of charge. I have been to many dealers in my time and I can not say enough good things about this team. If you want to be treated fairly and have them work with you as apposed to feel like you are fighting a battle against the dealership itself then i would strongly suggest going here and talking to the staff.

Earlier in the day my girlfriend and I visited a VW dealership in North Attleboro Mass and had a terrible experience.... DO NOT GO THERE... the salesman was overtly rude to my girlfriend the second we started talking and obviously our decision was made then and there. We left with a very bad taste in our mouths. If you are looking for a VW make the trip to Scott VW in East Providence. Coming from that terrible experience, we were greeted with warm and friendly faces at Scott. We had great conversations, and she even went the extra mile to get me in contact with someone she knew in my career field! After a decision was made we worked with Tanya in the finance department. As this was my first time purchasing a car on my own I had a few questions. She helped me understand everything, did everything she could to get me the best deal, and even gave us both great advice about financial decisions in the future. If you value knowledgeable sales staff and a business that stands by their products and services, you may not find it here. 1) While the sales staff was nice, they were unknowledgeable of the services they offered and unintentionally mislead me on purchasing a "certified preowned" car that was not "VW certified" even though they had signage up IN THEIR SHOW ROOM for "VW preowned certified". The car was actually "Carfax certified" which offers little to no benefit to me purchasing the car there. The sales guy apologized for the misleading signage, but him nor his managers would do nothing at all to make it right besides offer some words of condolences after promising they they would go through everything from top to bottom before I signed the paperwork. I found out the car was purchased from a rental car place and the 20k miles put on the car were done in under a year which makes me feel uneasy about even stepping in the door. 2) When I drove off the lot, the car was also low on engine coolant and I had to go back ASAP to have it serviced. It's a shame that this place runs contrary to their core values, I expected better for a purchase as big as a car.

Very satisfied. I scheduled an appointment easily online and received a confirmation reminder the day before my appointment. I was offered a free ride back to work after dropping off my car. I didnt take it, but then to pick up my car they came to pick me up at work, so this was very convenient. The best part was the transparency about the service they performed on my car. I received a text message with a video from a technician explaining what he thought should be done with a video of the parts of my car treat were in need of repair. Despite the dealership closing soon, our Salesman Ahmed and the Manager James both made no mention of the closing time and were very patient with us making a decision. It was only after the fact we realized they stayed hours after closing to assist us. They were transparent about the financing process and offered honest advice on allowing us to get our best rate. Understandably, we couldn't close the deal being so late on a Sunday, so we returned Monday to finalize matters. Ahmed was extremely pleasant, courteous and we felt like we could relate to him on a personal level. There were no sales tactics, no pressuring and the process went very smooth. Ahmed was an absolute pleasure to work with through the entire way, and he'd only been with the company for a week. The only catch to the process was that our floor mats were forgotten when the car was detailed, but Ahmed even came in on his day off on a Friday to hand over the floor mats. I had a series of extremely unfortunate events at my regular Toyota dealership. For the record I even tried a few others near me and it turns out they’re actually all owned by the same person, needless to say I still had no luck and they are all bad news there’s not an honest one in the bunch! Being a Rhode Islander of course I had heard of the Scotts and Scott VW before so, I finally decided it was time for a change and just gave them a call. I spoke to Hayley LaMarre, she was a breath of fresh air! I was obviously really nervous about making the switch, not to mention dealing with all the typical hassles of a car purchase but...NOPE NONE OF THAT HERE! No sleezy sales tactics and it was a gimmick free visit (seriously)! Hayley personally handled every thing right over the phone for me, she even took care of my insurance, I told her my agent’s name and she got everything in order for me. I promise you this is only the facts! I couldn’t head over until 5:30, I found out Hayley’s shift actually ended at 5, but low and behold she stayed to make sure I was taken care of! This never happens... I couldn’t believe it, I really just thought, brace yourself your gonna show up and deal with nothing but: “ ohhh that was our “internet” deal or ohh sorry Hayley said that but that cars sold, hey we can sell you this one for an extra $50 a month”, but that didn’t happen! Here’s what happened: I drove to Scott and arrived well after 6. Hayley was still there, I sat with her and reviewed a couple of documents, everything was exactly what she had explained over the phone, Hayley walked me over to the gentleman in finance, (I didn’t even really need to sit down) I signed a couple of the documents that Hayley had already reviewed with me ( NO SLEEZY LAST MINUTE SALES PITCHES WITH THE FINANCE GUY EITHER!!! Kinda unbelievable), this took exactly 4 minutes. He was a really nice guy too! Hayley waited for me and when that was complete she walked me over to meet Mike in service, Mike scheduled my first oil change visit, explained what that visit would be like, and how they could accommodate me during that visit. ( I honestly thought to myself, “OK HERE COMES THE SLEEZY SALES PITCH”, but Nope it was really just an introduction) then Hayley walked me out to my brand new Tiguan! Yay!! She showed me the basics, (thank goodness because it is a little different than I’m used to) then we got into the fun stuff Apple CarPlay, Sirius Radio, all the goodies! Finally, I drove away ecstatic in my brand new car that same day! My entire experience was really fabulous and my visit took less than an hour.

We purchased a used 2013 Beetle Convertible from a non VW dealership in Mass. The GPS was not functioning properly, I called other VW dealerships to try and find a way to re-calibrate it, but Scott VW was the only one that would try to help over the phone, and said I could stop by anytime I was in the area and they would take a look. Even though I did not schedule an appointment, when I did stop in (I was in the area), they took me right in.
