I haven’t bought a vehicle in 8 years and nothing about vehicle shopping brings me joy. However my experience from start to finish with this dealership was an absolute pleasure! I sent a quick email stating which vehicle I liked on the lot, how much I wanted to put down, what trade I had, and which bank I wanted to finance through. My email was read promptly and directed to Hannah. She was easy to work with, friendly, and didn’t use any scare tactics or bait/switch tactics that I’ve seen so many times in the past. She got me the best available Sentra with only 4000 miles, made notes of all my needs and met them. She even got a heated seat thrown in for my drivers side as a courtesy because I like heated seats and the Sentra with the lowest miles didn’t have them. She was kind and polite and able to appropriately “read the room” and stepped back a couple times for my boyfriend and I to talk. The finance manager was also very nice and the easiest finance manager I’ve ever worked with. Furthermore I had a huge mix up with my trade in and everyone at the dealership was able to navigate that no problem. Some general feedback about the dealership - it’s CLEAN, the showroom is bright and inviting, and the waiting area is very nice. I love my purchase and would recommend Hannah and this dealership to anyone. They do very good business! My credit is not the best and they still made me feel like a VIP customer, which I appreciated. Thank you Berlin City Nissan!

Travis was very easy to communicate with and, by the time I showed up for a test drive, all I had to do was sign. I still can’t believe the trade in value he gave me. In and out in a short time. My check engine light was on due to the evap system . A part was needed to fix the problem but none were on site. I had to come back the following morning after the part arrived. Che the service manager kept me well informed and explained everything in detail. He is knowledgeable, kind and curteous! My car was fixed in a shirt amount of time the following morning and i was on my way.

well I drove to south portland from freeport on a rainy afternoon thinking I would start the process of two trade ins.. a 2016 Nissan Frontier and a 2017 Volvo. 2 hours later I left, having successfully done the trade ins and purchased a 2022 Nissan Frontier. It took 2 hours for an oil change/tire rotation. I was in the waiting room except for a bathroom break and they claimed that they couldn't find me. It took them an hour after the car was finished to finally find me reading a book in the waiting room. This was only after my wife called to see if I was still there.

I recently leased a 2022 Nissan Frontier from Berlin City Nissan. I was extremely hesitant about buying a vehicle because of the negative experiences from other dealerships. The team at Berlin City has totally changed my perception of the car buying experience. I was introduced to Hannah who showed me the large inventory of New Frontiers. I am a Veteran, and sometimes have some issues dealing with the public. Hannah's personality and no pressure sales approach completely put me at ease. The buying process was the fastest I have ever experienced in my life. I ended up with a great truck and a new found respect for this dealership. I really want to thank the entire team. I am sure the dealership is good (never dealt with them) but the service department and their knowledge of what the dealership is able to do is a bit lacking. Called to bring in a commercial NV2500 van, asked specifically on whether they service high-top commercial vans and have the lift certification and ability. The person making the appointment repeatedly assured me of that capability. Show up to drop off the vehicle and the response was that they don't have that capability. The service person that was checking me in, was very gracious about it and was apologetic, granted he was dealing with someone else's mistake. The Service Manager or whoever was in the office that confirmed that they didn't have the capabilities to do the service couldn't even get out of his chair to discuss the situation and instead just shouted through the office entry that they don't service these Nissan's. Felt as if I was an inconvenience on his morning. Not a indicator of their entire operation there, but certainly frustrating with the lack of attention and education they provide their service personnel. As a customer oriented business, I would think the service manager would have a bit more incentive to make sure these things don't happen.

I would absolutely recommend this dealership I can't say much on the service department because I haven't really had any issues with these vehicles. I have only one complaint. The person I dealt with couldn’t tell me why my phone doesn’t work properly in my car. It keeps losing connection when plugged in to any apps. He just said something about the new iPhones (mine is a 13) having issues. I thought maybe he’d check to see if I was using the right cable or come out to the car and check it out, as when I leased the car last summer, I had no issues at all, but I did have an iPhone 11 at that time.

Purchasing a certified used car was straight-forward and met my expectations fine. Andrew, my salesperson, was excellent though. He was knowledgeable and after learning what my priorities were, he helped me make my purchase decision. I’d give him 5-stars for his contribution to the experience. I found the entire purchase process of over 3 hours too long especially because they advertise (literally the waiting room wall) a goal of “an hour or less.” I am experiencing some buyers remorse because 3 days after the purchase, I’m already back at the dealership for service lights that are on and features that I probably don’t know how to properly use but may be broken. I was told this appointment would be an hour or less…it’s been 1 hour, 45 mins so far. Net-net is that the people all seem knowledgeable and are very kind but there are operations gaps negatively impacting my experience.

Had my first experience with Berlin City Nissan service yesterday. When I called to make an appointment, I was less than pleased with my experience. As part of my appointment, I needed 4 new tires, and the appointment person couldn't answer my questions. He said he was going to transfer me to a service advisor, however he just called the dealerships number again and left it to me to choose the right option to get a service advisor...which wasn't clear and led me to selecting the wrong extension. Then I got another appointment setter, who did listen at all, and just did the same thing as the first guy. The third time I called (they're lucky I tried a third time) I was able to figure out which option to select, and got Marty. Then my experience changed dramatically. I was able to explain what I needed, and Marty made recommendations to assist me in selecting the right tires and services for my car. Once I dropped my car off, Peter the shuttle driver was pleasant and efficient, and got me to work on time. I received a convenient text message with the services my vehicle needed, allowing me to click a link and approve of additional services to be completed. Marty gave me a call a little later and advised my car was done, and Peter was actually a little early in picking me up to get me back to the dealership. Overall, I'm rating 3 stars because of the horrible appointment setting experience. If Berlin City fixed that, I'd give them 5. The folks in the service department seem great otherwise!

I was looking for a very specific used car and yes, Eric Burnheimer was a good salesman and easy to work with, but I couldn't have had better experience than working with Chris Genest, General Sales Manager. He was open and honest, and after the sale he took care of everything that needed to be done. He made it easy...when we couldn't connect on the phone we communicated by text message and he went out of his way to make everything right, including issues that really weren't the dealership's to resolve but he took care of it. I won't hesitate to go back and buy another car from Chris.

After searching the web for a vehicle and hitting deadends, I decided to just go look at Berlin City Nissan. Andrew Mason came over and asked how I was in such a welcoming way! He seemed personally invested in the vehicle that fit my needs, then later used what I said to fill in gaps while waiting for the managers. I immediately trusted him and look forward to seeing him in the community or when I need a new car again...keep in touch I will follow! Andrew Mason went above and beyond my expectations which is why it's a 4 star instead of a 2 star., the dealership as a whole should step up and follow his lead. Other sales people were not welcoming and it felt like a cold environment. Manager Andrew was transactional and cocky, not needed in the customer service industry. My transaction completed nextdoor at the Honda dealership then they had me walk next door to see Andrew the manager, and he said yeah you can have a seat. You need a better sales manager that values customer's while treating them like people not transactions.. The deal was signed ,you had a dozen workers doing nothing yet noone could have come out and brought the car over and taken a picture. You have a lot of staff to have so much down time. Andrew Mason is a breath of fresh air for Portland,I just hope you realize it!

I was in search of a Sentra and sure enough they had the style and year I was looking for. I think we all know buying a car seems daunting, but I would definitely recommend Berlin City Nissan. I was far from an easy customer, but Eric, Chris & Tom stayed 3.5 hours AFTER THEY CLOSED on Saturday, which by the way was a holiday weekend. They fought hard to get my into the car I fell in love with and answered all of my questions and my fiancé’s questions (he always has a lot). They treated us like VIP. Came in for a recall part being replaced, also needed my winter tires changed out to summer as well as a new battery. Chae checked me in and always remembers who I am and it's great to have people who recognize you. Left the vehicle overnight as the recall work takes quite a while to do. The next day Marty checked me out and he is always amazingly helpful and knowledgeable about what was done. He provided me with a AAA membership discount which I did not know was available!! I also got the alignment done when the tires were switched at no charge! I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have you all ready to serve and do it with such graciousness and no pressure from anyone to have additional work done - which I SO appreciate. Most all other service stations will "find" multiple things they want to add and have you spending more - I never get that at Berlin City. They always do a full point inspection and if there are any issues they are simply advised to you. Honestly you all could not be greater and your service is above exceptional! THANK YOU.

Brought my daughter's SUV in for a flat tire that was supposed to be covered. After sitting around for an hour and a half and having to track down the service guy I was told that the tire was not covered. < Pulse rate on the rise > Asked WHY no one came and said anything until we searched them down, really no good reason was given. I then asked them to put the new tires on and I would pay for them. I asked how long it would take? Was told another hour or so. After 5 customers came and gone still waiting. *** UPDATE ****** I have to say, I'm going to eat crow on this. I'm very thankful for the customer service I just received from Berlin City in South Portland. It was not the cost of the tires but the amount of time that was spent waiting and the fact that i had to track down someone for information on what was going on and why there was such a delay on getting my tires changed. Had i been given updates on what was happening, i would have been more understanding and had more patience.
They have proven that they are in my opinion a 5 star dealership. Thank you Berlin City for being many steps ahead of most dealerships.

I originally went to Nissan Saco because my vehicle had a bad solenoid. The mechanic there told me that if that were the case, they'd have to replace all three solenoids, priced at $100 each, because there's no way to figure out which one is bad. They also couldn't get me in for two weeks.
Called up Berlin City. They got me in next day, and it turns out there absolutely is a way to test the solenoids. They saved me $200 and had me back on the road quickly. The guy there suggested that Saco may not have a high enough level technician to test the solenoids. I have my doubts. In any event I don't believe the customer should have to pay a premium for Saco's lack of knowledge or ability. I'm going here from now

Went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. My tires were full of mud and rocks and originally they told me it would be roughly $30 to clean but because it didn’t take long to clean , they didn’t charge me at all! Great surprise! Thank you! Very nice staff too.

Poor communication between departments. Computers were down, and confusion between finance and sales made for a confusing sale as we got different stories from the two departments during the sale. Had to make three trips to dealership to complete sale and have all documentation completed. What we all need most from a service department is honesty. Friendliness and cleanliness are expectations and usually met from any car dealer. Berlin City offered me a free inspection. I was told my "front-end was about to fall off." They offered to fix it on the spot. ($247.00) I declined as I wanted a second opinion. I got a second and a third opinion. My front end and my sways bars are fine and are still fine more than a year later. I'm glad that I saved the money. I encourage anyone sitting there to listen to the service desk clerks. They are very friendly with the people in front of them but less so with the people calling back with problems after the fact on the telephone.

One evening last week, my car started having mechanical problems, and it was also snowing out. I was able to drive to Berlin City Nissan Service and arrived just before closing time. The service team thought it might just be some ice build-up in the wheels. Service Advisor Meghan, asked one of the service employees if they could at least remove the ice before closing and see if that would work. I was worried that it was closing time, but Meghan assured me that she was willing to stay as long as it would take to at least find out if it was just ice. Once the ice was removed, we found out it was not that but a cable problem. Megan and the other Service Advisor were extremely professional, courteous, and helpful during this entire time. They kept the car overnight, ordered the parts, repaired the vehicle (under warranty) and even had the car washed. Megan was very polite and helpful through the entire process. Berlin City of Nissan always goes the extra mile. I leased my Sentra from them back in 2011 and elected to purchase a service package. I am a forgertful person and they have set up automatic reminders to give me the gentle nudge I need. They make sure my registration and inspection are up to date and the car is always in much better shape when I pick it up. I have not used the drop off service yet (because I like the free snacks and coffee) but I think this also shows how dedicated they are to customer service.
The sales team is also very helpful and spent time reviewing my lease/purchase options with me. They give enough information and allow you the space to make a decision that works for you.

I usually avoid having my Xterra serviced at the dealership because dealerships have the reputation as overcharging their customers when it comes to parts. But, being new to the area, I brought my Xterra to Berlin City Nissan in order to fix an O2 sensor. My wife finally put enough miles on her new Versa to have it's first service done. I was able to schedule the appt for the next day which was very convenient. I was also offered a ride while the service was being done which was appreciated but not necessary as it only took 45 minutes or so, great service! We had paid for some sort of paint protection when we bought the car so I asked them to look at a door ding. They forgot to do that so I reminded them. They looked at it and said that someone would call me to set something up with their "paint guy" but I have not heard anything yet. I'll call later this week if I don't hear from them.

I have serviced several vehicles at Berlin City Nissan over the span of many years. I credit their service with having kept my vehicles in superb condition. They have always made always dealt with me fairly, and have provided sound advice over the years. They usually give me a diagnosis of my vehicles' current condition, but also allow me to make decisions regarding other problems that might be showing up during their evaluation. I believe that they give me advice about "nipping problems in the bud" that has kept potential problems from arising. I have never felt any pressure to do more than I am willing to do.
I also have always believed that they are working in my best interests. They go out of their way to meet my time constraints, and they are always coming up with ways to save me money as well. Now that they have loaners, a complete detailing service on the premises, and they also can obtain tires so that going to Berlin City Nissan is truly "one stop shopping."
I have had two service visits recently--one for each of my Nissan vehicles. The services were finished in a very timely manner, and my vehicles were given a complementary wash and were ready to go very quickly. There are two "pluses" in dealing with the service department. One, of course, is the quality of ther service technicians themselves. All I can say is that I have never been let down by the quality of their work and their willingness NOT to do what doesn't have to be done while simultaneously pointing out potential problem areas for me to think about. The second plus is that the Service Manager--Stacy Dalphonse--is about as nice a person as you could ever ask to meet. She is incredibly knowledgeable about Nissans and has given me countless pieces of good advice over the years. I really appreciate the way that various money-saving alternatives are brought to my attention before I decide on a strategy for repairing or maintaing my vehicles. She is courteous and helpful to the max.
Matt and the rest of the service team are equally as conscientious and competent. I trust these people, and over many years I have never been disappointed. My recent services were relatively routine, but the service is never just routine. It is always exceptional.
In addition I have purchased several vehicles from Berlin City Nissan. Despite the fact that I would aways have my vehicles serviced here, I am prepared to purchase a vehicle somewhere else if I receive a better deal. Dana, Ricky and the rest of the sales staff went out of their way to make me a very fair offer on a new vehicle this past May, and so I once again purchased a vehicle from them. The entire sales team seemed to treat me fairly and with respect--not something you always find at a dealership.
Obviously I am pleased with Berlin City Nissan, and I highly recommend them to other Nissan owners.

There's a good group of guys at Berlin City. They did whatever they could to get me into the car I wanted, put up with my difficult mother, took care of any issues with the vehicle that prevented it from being 100%, and made me feel like they were interested in my sale. I recently purchased a used vehicle through the support of Wayne Hill. Wayne listened to our very specific needs and tight price range, and scoured the Berlin City inventory at all stores and came up with an incredible gem. Not only was the price right, but the vehicle condition and mileage were significantly better than we expected. This instantly sealed the deal without much debate or reflection.
After the sale, we noticed that one of the new tires was a "dud" and approached Ricky (the sales manager) to discuss the issue. He completely understood our concern and "made it right". We left the dealership, again, satisfied and overwhelmed with the experience. This was the second vehicle purchase in 6 months and was 100 times more enjoyable, comfortable and easy than the first (at a different dealership we didn't even check inventory with).

I had been looking to trade and possibly purchase another Nissan Murano. Our previous vehicle had just turned 70,000 miles and did not need to trade due to the condition of it. This purchase would be and currently is, our 5th Nissan (our 3rd Murano.) This is our second purchase from Berlin City Nissan and we are very pleased with how Eric took care of everything. My wife had taken our previous Murano in for a problem with the TPMS and Marty & Brian were all over it. The problem was a valve stem issue and was repaired in a timely fashion.
I told my Wife to take a look at the new Murano while waiting and met Eric at that point. She test drove and I later test drove the Murano and spoke with Eric that same day. The refinements were incredible and loved by both of us. By the end of that week, the original vehicle we had been looking at was still there but we saw a newly delivered Murano and that sealed the deal. Eric stated he would make it happen and he did along with Tom in Finance and we were out the door in very little time in a new lease for the 2020 Murano Platinum Edition on Valentines Day. They were both over the top and attentive to our needs. I appreciate the time they spent getting all financing complete and the orientation of the new Murano. I went to Berlin City last Saturday, after having exchanged e-mails with Jeff Donovan over the course of several months. I spent a couple of hours with Jeff discussing my options for either a purchase or lease deal for a Nissan Juke. Everyone in the store that day was attentive and friendly and I left with several offers to mull over. Last night (the Tuesday following my initial visit) I drove home in a 2013 Nissan Juke, fully loaded, for a lease price that I just couldn't pass on! I never thought I could afford the many options that came with this car, so you can imagine how great I feel! I brought my car to a local repair shop and they advised me that it would take several hours to figure out why my Altima's service light was on. They wanted to dye the engine and figure out where the exhaust might be leaking.
I brought it in to Berlin City Nissan and they figured out the issue in 15 minutes, then offered to replace the defective part while I waited.
I remoted into my office through my laptop and was able to work in the comfortable waiting area for the hour my car was being repaired-and the coffee was better than being at my office! I told my boss I'd be working from Berlin City Nissan from now on.

I bought a new 2013 Maxima SV from Berlin City last May and yesterday brought my car in for the first 3,750 mile checkup. I had received several timely reminder notices for my 9:00 AM appointment but decided to bring it in early at 8:00 AM since I had a busy day ahead. Upon arrival, the Service Desk guy warned me that my booking time was at 9 but said they would do everything they could to "slip me in early." I brought my car in for a state which at berlin city because they do their state inspections for free and it's a great way to save $20 bucks. I had done it last year with no problems at all went back again this year and it was the complete opposite unfortunately. This is not a attempt to get back at them because my car didn't pass inspection this year, so lets just clear that up right now. The 1st problem was it took forever, I had made an appointment so I wasn't just showing up expecting to be taken right in. The problem was they locked my keys in the car! They had to fabricate a key so they could unlock my car. They didn't even give me the key they made for my car as like a sorry we made mistake gesture. I wasn't impressed with that. When they finally got me out of the waiting room to tell me my car failed inspection they went over the 3 issues that caused it to fail. The driver's side floorboard was soft, the exhaust was missing a catalytic converter and the front blinkers are red. The car passed last year with the same front blinkers and the same exhaust which is custom and it's not like i have a huge piece of exhaust missing when they said missing cat. Why would I even have red front blinkers, makes no sense. This is where the second problem occurs. Both of the people working behind the desk tell me that the blinkers are orange not red like the inspector had stated so why the hell is he failing my car for that if the people that don't even work on the cars sitting behind a desk can tell what color they are. They're response was he's just being picky. I thought that was a poor excuse and that you would think the whole berlin city team would be on the same page with something as simple as knowing basic colors. I brought my car somewhere else after fixing the floorboard and it passed fine. I ended up better off spending the $20 dollars for getting an inspection then getting a free one at berlin city which certainly was free of headaches.

We then tried a used Nissan Murano. We both liked the styling, ride and space. We then went over to Berlin City Nissan. We met with the General Mgr. Dana Hurrell and salesman Chris Genest. Chris took us out on a test drive, answered our questions, but did not try to pressure us into any type of purchase. Dana worked with us on our trade in and price for the 2011 Murano demo. We feel we were treated very professionally and no pressure. In fact, we left the first day and I then called back the next day to say we would purchase. We have had the Murano for over 2 months and I love the ride, handling and extra space it provides.

On a routine oil change and tire rotation, they found a seal leak that was primarily landing on the muffler. It was a fire hazard. They repaired it that day (5 to 9 hour job) so that I did not need to come back later in the week to pick up my car. This was warranty work.

As a sceptic of dealership service centers, I am impressed by this one. It has a waiting area that is away from both the sales floor and the service area. However, I don't believe any dogs except for service dogs should be allowed in the building. There was an incident where the dog wet on the floor in the waiting area, and it was several minutes before the owner cleaned it up. Thankfully there were no young children playing on the floor that day, or that it was in an area of little traffic.This is no place for dogs to run loose.
Other than this one incident, I have no issues and am delighted so far with the service my vehicle has received.

What should have been a routine oil change/tire rotation and reading the code for a check engine light turned into a two week repair. The service department worked with the extended warrantee to make sure the major repair was covered since we only bought the vehicle a year ago and it shouldn't have had to have an axle replaced. NOT CONVINCED THAT THE 2 TIE ROD ENDS THEY SAID WERE BAD ACTUALLY WERE. THEY WOULDNT LET ME SEE THE TIE RODS AFTER AND THE VIDEO SEND TO ME SHOWED NOTHING BUT THEM TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE RODS WERE DOING WHAT THEY SHOULD. THE CAR NEEDED TO BE ON THE GROUND WITH EITHER ONE OR BOTH WHEELS TO TEST PROPERLY. THINGS WERE SLOW AND IT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTEE EXCEPT THE $100 DEDUCTABLE. THE INSPECTIONS WILL BE DONE ELSEWHERE FROM NOW ON. I HAVE BEEN A MECHAANIC FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND MY SON IS A CERTIFIED TOYOTA MECHANIC FOR YEARS, WE ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH CAR AND TRUCK TESTING AND REPAIR. THIS IS MY 4TH NISSAN BUT THE FIRST ONE THATS EVER NEEDED TIE RODS AND IT ONLY HAD 43K ON IT.
