I have gotten my regular maintenance as well as an alignment here and could not have been happier both times. Staff are friendly and kind, service was done in a timely manner, and communication was consistent. Waiting area is very nice too. They are also not pushy at all or make you feel pressured for other services/repairs, which is awesome. I feel like prices are fair. Will be my regular spot for any work I need done going forward.

My wife and I worked with Brian Doyle in the sales department. To put it mildly, he was outstanding. He worked with us to find what we wanted and made us comfortable every step of the way. I did appreciate the fact that there was no issues with the car and no pressure for further services/repairs. In the past I’ve experienced pressure to have work done that was not really necessary.

Berlin City Honda's service department is as good as it gets. Simple check-in inside a clean "garage." Friendly staff that greets you and sets expectations (although maybe set to low, since they finished my service in a third of the time they suggested). A comfortable waiting area with free coffee and comfortable seating. And a free car wash to boot!

The repair needed few days for completion. We only had one car available, they totally arranged a rental and kept in contact via text and updated us along the way. Top shelf service!! They get it right. The wait was longer than expected - it took almost 3 hours (they were busy with a lot of appointments booked), but with that aside, I am very happy with the work done (State inspection sticker & airbag inflation kit via recall). PS: I didn't really mind the wait because the customer wait area is one of the more comfortable, equipped & well maintained in the greater Portland/SoPo area.

I was happy they fit me in and had the keys I needed for my SUV as all the Hondas closer to me were backordered. I drove over 2 hrs to get here, walked into the service area where 3 workers were standing and not a sole said hi. They stared at me, 2 walked off and the one behind the desk continued what he was doing as I stood there. He saw me very clearly all it takes is saying hey! I'll be right with you. I have no problem waiting. Then a kid came in (appeared to be coming back from break) and politely asked me if I was being helped. He was the only person that acknowledged me the entire time. I had just been at Honda in Augusta 2 weeks before getting a ton of repairs and their service was outstanding, they were so so polite and knowledgeable. It was a huge turn off going into this honda. I do appreciate the one person who helped me and also the parts person who answered the phone when I first called was wonderful.

A dealer is a dealer - detest them all. Having said that, if you're looking for a bright, well appointed waiting area, clean bathrooms, free coffee/tea, large flat screen TV, then here you are. The service advisors all have laptops, attitudes are never as they should be as far as I'm concerned - mine thought I was going to swallow paying for 2 services I had not ok'd - he was quickly advised differently. I'm not a mechanic, but I'm not stupid either, so don't treat me like I am. The rudeness is also uncalled for, especially when you've just hosed me with a $4k bill! Yeah, heading back to the dealer...hahahaha -NOT any time soon.

The CRV came with 'locking nuts' which made it impossible for me to get a slow leak fixed anywhere but here. That's HONDA, stupid. BCH however was great. they sold me regular lug nuts, replaced them for me, and fixed my slow leak no charge other than for the lugs.

I found the vehicle that I fell in LOVE with via the online portal & sent in a request for information. I dealt w/Ted from the very beginning, and from the beginning it didn't look as if making this happen with my budget ect, would be possible. I really wanted a lease however with the inequity in the vehicle I wanted to trade in, an option for a lease was basically out of the picture. Ted manipulated some numbers, let me know some ideas to get some extra cash taken off of my inequity amount, continuously researched discounts rebates, and communicated with me over a two week time period until he sent me an email and the subject line was "GREAT NEWS!!!!!". Of course I was excited before even reading the email! Ted worked extremely hard and was able to get me the deal that was as close to what I wanted as possible (and it was pretty darn close!), and not only that but he got it so that I didn't have to purchase the vehicle & somehow worked his magic & was able to get me into the lease that I wanted from day 1!! He even had the vehicle delivered to me in Vermont all the way from Portland Maine! It arrived in perfect condition and was better than expected!! I would not only HIGHLY recommend this dealership to family & friends but I would also recommend that they ask for Ted Hanson! Our entire family including my Husband & I have used the same dealership for years upon years, the last dealership we went to, we were treated quite badly. Due to the great service from Berlin City of Portland ME, our in-laws will now be going to Berlin City once their lease is up for their new vehicle - we couldn't ever think about going to another dealership after this experience!! Allen was excellent at updating me when each vehicle was done so that I could swap them and keep moving along with my day. I also stopped by Parts to change out the batteries in my keyfobs at cost, with free labor. Service you can count on, and you leave with a smile. We traded in a Jeep Compass which we had purchased from Chris 3 years ago and had grown out of. He drove there to get it so we could test drive it that night. Between the sales, finance, and service departments I’ve had a really great experience. I had Dave Seavey as my salesman. Very professional and friendly and extremely quick at replying to e-mails when I had questions. I also went on their site and found my car, but he still looked for other options just in case and was honest about what was good or not for the payment I wanted. I went through Chris for finance and he was so friendly and got me in and out quick once he found me a great interest rate. I had to come back within a week because the O2 censor needed replacing (was free for me with the warranty) and Jessica in service was so sweet. She kept me updated and even helped with all the things I needed to haul between my new car and loaner since I had my toddler with me. I didn’t feel like I had to wait forever and being a mom that was a big plus for me.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience when I brought my car in this week to have a recall issue fixed. They were on time, organized and very friendly.
I needed to get to work before my car was finished and was amazed to learn about their shuttle service. They gave me a ride to work and then delivered my car to me when it was finished. Dillon kept me updated on my cars progress the entire time and the shuttle driver was so kind. I can’t recommend this place more!

I always have a good experience at Berlin Honda. This day was no exception. I had received a fuel pump recall notice and spoke to Ryan on the phone the day before my appointment just to make sure the part was going to be there. The service went fine and took just about the time that he said it would. His attention to detail and his professional, courteous and congenial attitude are to be commended. As a side note, I think that they need to have a local service appointment scheduling center rather than having to call a centralized number and speak to call takers who sound a bit out of the loop as to what’s going on. Other than that, I highly recommend Berlin City for purchasing a vehicle as well as for their top-notch service.

As soon as I saw the Honda Ridgeline at Berlin Honda, I knew this was the right pickup for me. The test drive was awesome. The V-6 was quiet, the ride very smooth due to the front and rear suspension, and the handling exceptional. In my two year search for a vehicle, ( from Merces to Toyota and everything in between) I finally found the one created for me!
As a Vietnam Veteran, it is important fo have ample windshield visibility as well on the sides and the rear window. I was not disappointed. The interior was spacious and comfortable with plenty of leg and headroom.
It rides like a Cadillac up front which a truck body in the rear - Ha. Perfect for making long trips on the highway, yet has the ability to transport material such as 4 x 8 sheets of plywood that I use to put in my Honda Pilot.
I also thank Berlin Honda for the exceptional deal they gave to me. While checking with other Honda dealers, they provide the lowest price with a generous trade in allowance, as well as exceptional service to provide me with the right make, model and color that I desired. Thank you Tommy!

The dealership has a very spacious lounge area with an assortment of seating options to meet a wide variety of needs. The staff all wore masks and were conscious of the need for social distancing.
When the work was completed Jessica, reviewed what was done, checked me out and accompanied me to my car so she could disinfect anything that may have been touched by service staff. I’d say that my first impression of Berlin City Honda Service was excellent to say the least.

I'm always scared to take my car to the dealership because I know it's going to cost more than if I went to a backyard mechanic, however I needed an ignition installed in my car. I wasn't going to trust that to somebody that wasn't a certified Honda technician. I got a bit of a run around initially getting contacted with the dealership, click on their website and it connected me to Lee Auto somehow. But once I got through the gentleman was great, I explained to him that I only had one opportunity to drop the car off and he said that would be fine it could sit there until they can get to it. He told me it would go in to be worked on on Thursday, I got a text mid-morning saying that they had diagnosed the problem and explain what it needed and how much it would cost. I okayed the estimate and about three hours later I could have text saying that my car was done. The final price was about $20 more than I was estimating, All Things Considered I would say that's pretty good. I would definitely recommend them if you need repairs that you don't want to trust to a backyard mechanic

David Seavey was a very pleasant salesman to work with. He listened to what I needed and worked very hard to find something to suit those needs, coming up with 2 great options. I haven't made a final decision yet, but if I don't buy a Honda, it won't be because the salesman didn't do his job! I have put a vehicle on reserve with them to test drive when it arrives, but I did not enjoy the process I went through to reserve it. Much paperwork to sign (that they shred if I don't want the car) and a pushy financial person who wanted me to decide on extended service contracts before I'd even seen or driven the car. I finally got angry and declined to make any decisions at all.

(Duh) The rep input my data to register my car, so I did not have to come back a second time. We also reviewed what service I needed (rather than the package which I had selected). Because I was having problems with the interface with Android auto he made sure the computer tech would be available after my service. My car was finished quickly. The tech showed up. Left feeling mission accomplished rather than "Now what?"

After a couple of disappointing interactions with our local dealers, the back and forth, short comings and failure to deliver, we took a chance turning to online shopping since we didn't want to continue to drag her to all the face to face meetings. Slow to start. Had appointment for 9:30. Arrived a few minutes early. No service until 10:45. Had to wait because I wanted to ride with the mechanic while he assessed my manual transmission. Great ride and evaluation with the mechanic. Multiple point inspection and report appeared thorough. Estimates for recommended repairs seemed very high. Everyone was cordial. Waiting area was clean and comfortable. Coffee was good. Seemed like there were many employees scurrying around. Felt overstaffed. Very impressive operation.

Berlin City Honda was AMAZING. I was looking to purchase a particular vehicle test drove it and fell in love. But the love was short lived when told that if something were to happen to the battery I'd have to pay out of pocket. I asked what my options were. Seeing as I didn't have an established line of credit, they advised me I could join New Drivers // Buyers program (not sure if that's what its called) this will allow me to build a line of credit with Honda and will make it easier for me in the near future. Payments monthly (not a problem), next problem I wasnt insured. They provided me a phone number to an insurance company and got me set up in less than 20 minutes. AT THE END OF THE DAY I drove off in a 2021 Honda Civic // 8 miles on odometer for a 36 month lease. 12,000 max / yr. Totally doable as I only need vehicle to go to and from work. Berlin City Honda provided a great experience in car buying. We purchased a 2020 Honda CRV EX AWD. Tommy was our sale's person and Mark handled all the paperwork closing out the purchase. We were able to negotiate an extremely satisfying sale price...hassle free...and we did it all by texting. This was safe (pandemic) and saved a lot of time for us. Once we agreed to the sale price, we went in to the dealership to see and test drive the car. At the time we were in the middle of refinancing our home, and so not to cause any issues with that, we asked if they'd hold the car until the refi closed. Tommy agreed to hold it and we put down a small deposit. It took another 3 weeks to close on the house. Berlin City was very understanding and patient in dealing with us. How good is that!!! This was my second time buying a car from Berlin City Honda, and both experiences were great. Berlin City's initial price was thousands lower than the other Honda dealerships in the State, and they even went lower when those other dealerships undercut them by a few hundred dollars. The only thing I'd avoid is the glass etching, it was not worth the extra $400 to me.
Ted was the salesman I worked with and he was great, he had no trouble giving me prices for multiple 2018/2019 Civics at various trim levels which made my decision much easier. Other dealerships made it hard to get more than one price at a time, and some would only give me monthly payments. I also appreciate that Berlin City didn't try high pressure sales tactics like the other dealerships I visited.
Signing paperwork was quick and simple. After the sale they made sure my new car was perfectly detailed, had a full tank of gas, and the tech genie helped answer any questions I had about the car!

Nice people. Polite staff. But, before you buy a Honda, ask about VCM technology and research misfires. All of us who have thousands of dollars in repair bills to rebuild engines with 60k miles are regretting buying Honda. Honda America will NOT help you at all.
If you buy used, order a "VCM Muzzler" and install it immediately.
We are stuck with a Honda Odyssey Touring Edition that needs $6500 worth of work at 65k miles.

We started taking our Honda Odyssey to Berlin City when we moved here, 2 years ago. The service has been fantastic. Recently, I needed to have the Odyssey's paint touched up in some spots; this required an extended service time and involved another service provider. Bobby Ramos, our service advisor at Berlin City, facilitated the entire process from start to finish. He arranged for the appointment, got the minivan to and from the other provider, and even managed to secure a loaner car for me while my van was being worked on. The service was truly above and beyond what one would expect of a service center. I can't recommend them highly enough.

This summer we decided to drive to the East Coast from Wisconsin. We were staying in Boston and decided to do a day trip up to Portland. On the way in to town, the check engine light began flashing on our Honda Pilot. We stopped at the first place we found, which was an O'Riley's with a service bay. They told us they were too bust and couldn't help us until tomorrow and that no one in town would be able to get us in on a Friday afternoon. With my family of 5 in the car and no where to stay for the night, I started to panic a bit. We started to look online and found this Honda dealer just a couple miles down the road. I called ahead and the person said they could get me an appointment in 15 minutes. I couldn't believe it. Now the tricky part was seeing if the car would even make it there.
From them moment we pulled in everyone was absolutely fantastic. They brought my family to a nice waiting area that even had a place for the kids to play. Thankfully they also had snacks, since my kids were now starving at this point. They had us out of there and back on the road in about 3 hours. I had told them we were from out of town and thanked them for getting us back on the road.
The next day we had done another day trip, this time down to Rhode Island. I get a a call from Berlin City Honda to follow up. The person stated "I know you guys are no longer in the state, but wanted to check to make sure everything is going okay." I seriously never expected a courtesy follow-up call from them. I was so impressed with their customer service... if only all car dealerships were this way.
But it didn't end there... About 2 months later I receive an email that Berlin City has paid for a Car Fax for my vehicle for as long as I own it. This place seriously understands customer service! Although we'll likely never be back, as we live over 1,000 miles away, I hope others read the review and consider working with Berlin City Honda. They are absolutely amazing!

This was my first time purchasing a car and it was a great experience. I had a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid that I was gifting to my younger sister so I needed a new vehicle. I went to Berlin City Honda on 2 separate occasions to look for a Honda CR-V. I met and worked with a gentleman named Steven G. who was very polite, friendly and informative. We looked at a few vehicles and then I got to test drive 2 different cars. Steve was not pushy and made the experience pleasant. I wasn't 100% sold after the first visit (mainly because I wanted a different color vehicle) so I left to consider my options. Steven called a few days later saying their was another vehicle that just came in that I might like. 1 week later I went back in and test drove another 2014 CR-V with Steve. We went inside to discuss financing. My only disappointment with this process was when it came to review the final bill. In addition to the price of the vehicle, their was about $2,000 in other fees, taxes, charges etc. that I was not anticipating. For future reference, add at least $1,000-$2,000 on to the vehicle at the end to include all of the extra charges that are NOT included in the sticker price. The Finance Manager we worked with was Wayne. He was also very friendly and informative. He explained the credit pulling process and lender search process. He explained the options of warranty and vehicle coverage and further explained the Honda Certified Pre-Owned vehicle benefits. He clearly outlined my next steps in terms of registering my vehicle, contacting my car insurance provider and explaining what other coverage I may or may not need from them. He did not try and up-sell other products and services that I do not need which was appreciated. The paperwork/financing process took about 45 minutes from start to finish which wasn't bad. They also have a huge servicing center at this location which is where I always brought my Hybrid for servicing. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I would most certainly recommend and buy again from Berlin City Honda in the future.

This is one of the few places I don't mind waiting for the work to get done. I have never once enjoyed a “Car Dealership” such as Berlin City Honda. I loved purchased my car. It was easy and everyone was wonderful. I love my car. I say this, knowing my car well, as I have had to spend so much time in it this summer, 6000 miles worth, Monday through Friday, for 5 1/2 weeks, plus.
I just had my first Check-up. I dread having to sit at a dealership, usually for hours, waiting until they finally finish. I have to say, this was the best, fastest, most friendly, most comfortable and accommodating, honest and direct, no hidden charges or changes, good advise and knowledgeable staff, and even a recognition from the salesman who helped me find the exact car I wanted.
I love BCH. I highly recommend buying a Honda, but not just anywhere, believe me, I had looked at other dealerships. None even came close to comparing, to BCH integrity and genuine respect of their customers.

In the past I had not had such a great experience with Berlin City Honda service with my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Well thing have improved significantly. I now have a 2017 Honda Ridgeline and my last 3 visits have been outstanding. From the Service Representative to the Shuttle driver, they clearly have customer service at the top of their list. This most recent visit this week was again outstanding. I live about 1 hour away from this dealer and 45 minutes from another. I explained with David Cyr that I didnt want to waste his time and wanted to just talk with someone about what the best path would be for me in my current situation (trade in, high miles, upside down etc) David taught me a fair amount about the way down payments worked, and how much I would need to put down to keep my payment at X. This was never explained to me at any other dealership. We also went back and forth several times and through my strong will and his persistence we were able to come up with a solution that was affordable and ending up leaving in a 2019 Civic. We all know the saying that used-car salesmen are at the bottom of the not-to-be trusted category. (Except for Congress, of course.) Well, at Berlin City I found it just ain’t so!
Late last year I bought a used Honda there as a present for my wife, who was in the hospital for what we thought would be just a few days. Two weeks later she was still in the hospital, diagnosed with a unsuspected and highly advanced cancer. She died a week later.
With little expectation of success, I called to see if Berlin City might possibly take back the car. The salesman was extremely sympathetic, but not sure it could be done -- it was not only long past their four-day return policy, but I had had the car registered in my wife’s name.
He said he’d discuss it with the Sales Manager, however, so I thanked him but mentally wrote off any hope of its working out. The Sales Manager, however,
didn’t just say “Hell, no!” or put my request at the bottom of his in-box. He did some research and finally found a way to straighten out the registration. (The salesman, by the way, faithfully kept me informed of how things were progressing -- all this despite the prospect of losing his commission!)
The end result was that a few days later I returned the car and got a check for the full amount I had paid for the car! No deductions for administrative costs or a dozen other things Berlin City could very legitimately have charged me for.
To say I remain both grateful and impressed would be an understatement. I’d buy a car from Berlin City any day of the week and be confident I’d get exceptional service!

1- Giovanni pushed me a little bit to get me out of my comfort zone (when I was saying "I do not want leather seats") to realize that the leather seats actually provided a tremendously more comfortable seat in the car. This actually inspired me to upgrade to the new 2019 CRV Touring from the 2016 CRV EX. He used some typical sales phrases "When will you be buying?" instead of "Are you considering buying?" which felt too pushy. I am tremendously GRATEFUL for the leather seat education.
2- David Nguyen walked me through EVERY SINGLE step of learning the electronics. EVERY one. I was floored and impressed by his generosity of time. ZERO sales pressure (like the Holy Grail amongst car salesmen). I LOVED it. And it made me really sad that I couldn't reward him with a commission when they couldn't find the interior/exterior color combo I wanted. I'd love to learn about and buy every car in the future from him.

In the end, I decided to lease a 2016 Honda CR-V EX (a big step up from my 2001 Honda CR-V). I didn't understand leasing, so Scott patiently explained everything I needed to know and answered all of my questions. I appreciate that he took so much time to do so (I was there from 5:30 until they closed at 8). Once he had ascertained what my wants and needs were, he started breaking down the numbers for me right away to see what I could reasonably afford, since my budget is tight. I bought my 2017 Honda HRV last week. I have had 4 new Honda's in the past...I love Honda's. But, it is not always easy to deal with buying another vehicle. Well, Berlin City proved to be just what they advertise to be. They made the process so Easy. I had the nicest Sales Person (Christopher Marcisso) who gave me the best price (as I had gotten quotes from other Honda Dealerships), a good trade-in, was very professional, performed great follow up with "no pressure tactics"....AND, all this was done in a fast and efficient way. I would HIGHLY recommend Berlin City for your next vehicle....I was so happy with how smooth the transition went. While I was waiting for the paperwork to be done, my Sales Person made sure I was comfortable in their nice showroom, offering me coffee, soda, etc., and he even took the time to show me pictures of his dog and we talked as if we knew each other for some time. I also noticed that staff members were very friendly while they were "buzzing" around getting other things done. I do have to say, this being the 5th new Honda I have had, was the best experience going through Berlin City. You should check them out.....you will be happy you did.

I actually almost purchased from a different dealership but they were being wishy washy and slow to respond to my inquiries. So I said to heck with them and contacted Berlin. Fortunately I had the complete opposite experience at Berlin. I emailed my salesperson, Tim Cole, Fri afternoon and heard back a couple hours later. We negotiated on the phone Fri evening and the next morning I called in a down payment over the phone. Never even set foot in Berlin until after I had committed haha! From our first conversation to our last, Tim was refreshingly responsive, respectful, genuine, and committed to customer service. He was honest about what they could offer and never tried to push me into buying more or any of that monkey business. They were able to give me most of what I asked for when negotiating (and I asked for a pretty good deal).
When we met in person, Tim had a great sense of humor and took my nitpicking like a champ haha. I'm one of those people who reads the fine print, considers little details, and negotiates everything. I am sure this is a nightmare to car dealerships but Tim rolled with it just fine as did the finance guy Wayne.
Berlin has this cool program where someone sits in the car with you and helps you connect your phone to bluetooth and shows you all the bells and whistles of your new car. I had no idea such a program existed but I'm so glad it does! Unfortunately I can't remember his name (though I do remember he graduated from UMaine in 2014 with Computer Science degree) but the guy who was my technology genie was awesome! He showed me a ton of things I never would've figured out on my own. Never would've known what the Econ button does but he showed me and now I use it all the time. And other things like that. Anyway, all this is to say I had a great experience at Berlin and next time we need a new car I'll be headed back to Berlin to speak with Tim. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately had to have the drive chain replaced on our CRV. We were pretty nervous about the cost and nature of the repair. Our advisor, Dylan K, read our situation without having to be asked, and broke the down the repair in the estimate to highlight just those aspects needed for the chain. When a related issue arose on the ride home that was an oversight in the repair process, Berlin City drove a loaner out to our house (a half-hour drive) to exchange for the CRV, so that we would not have to drive back in, and we were not charged additional fees for the repair of the oversight. Overall, our experience was very positive and we will remember it if we need dealer repair expertise in the future, and when we next shop for a new car. A VERY different experience from some other unnamed regional Honda dealers.

Service was good and was done in a timely manner. Altho only planning to have oil change and tire rotation, I added balancing the tires after speaking with the rep. Altho this was my own fault for not having the information to make an informed decision, I took the rep’s word that I needed it to prevent shimmying and shaking of the vehicle when driving. Once home, I did some research and found out a tire balancing was in fact not needed, unless there was a problem to begin with. Turns out it was only a loose spark plug. The mechanic, Mohammed, tightened it down, reset the light, and have me a sticker. The service writer Jessica didn't even charge my for the plug or traction diagnostic. In and out in maybe 45 minutes, will go again.

Came into the sales room in a snowstorm, leaving a broken down car at home, after inquiring online about a new Honda. Jamie Doucette, sales guy, called back within 10 minutes and set up an appointment.
