My second hand mini cooper was rescued from a horrible place called Chapman. I am officially a miniac now. I called for pricing and the customer service was out of this world amazing. I have an appointment first thing in the morning and am excited knowing certified mini techs will be working on my car. This is officially the best dealership I've ever been to. I've read an heard only good things about this location and the techs are 100% honest.

09/26/2022 New update I have to mention Ric Bakutis Service Manager and Jonathan Bauknecht Service Advisor for extraordinary customer service and advocacy. My 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman had engine malfunction light come on and was found to have turbo failure which consequently needed to be replaced. I didn't feel that the part should have failed since it was just replaced 2.5 years ago and only 17000 miles later. It was replaced at 70000 miles and 7th year of cars life. At that time they both advocated for me when I filed a complaint with Mini (BMW) corporate office customer service. That time Mini assumed the full cost of the part, even though it was out of warranty, but the car was meticulously maintained at the same Mini of North Scottsdale service center since purchase. The service provided deep discount on the labor and made it possible to avoid $5250 part and labor charge. Mini agreed that the failure was premature considering the car service records, but not without Ric and Jon's help. Well since the part failed again so soon and the repair on an aged car was basically catastrophically expensive I filed another complaint with the Mini. I spoke to Jon and Ric again asking for their help and boy did they come through again. They helped making the case with BMW corp. and Mini covered 50% of parts while Mini of North Scottsdale service center assumed entire labor charge, again making it possible to have our car repaired. I can't say enough praise about my experience and say that Jon and Ric saved the face of the brand, represented their dealership and Penske corporate with pride in a best possible light. Great job guys and a big thank you. I can't recommend you enough. **************************** I've been servicing my Mini at Mini of North Scottsdale for 8 years now and all I can say that my experiences were always positive. Service advisor Jonathon Bauknecht is very friendly and respectful. He is always accommodating, easy to schedule appointments, keeping me updated on the work done and transparent about what the urgency of the service is. Overall very happy with services received there.

The best car buying experience. Traded my 2019 Mini Cooper S 2 door for a new 2023 Mini Cooper S 4 door. I am hooked on the Mini Cooper. Rides great and so much fun. Aside from the fun style, unique and customizable design of a MINI, the driving experience is one of a kind. But. What I love most is the community aspect. This particular dealership is amazing. Easy to work with. Helpful. The team has a synergistic non-salesy vibe you will appreciate. They don't vulture around you when you look or try and swooze you into an uncomfortable position to try and win your sale. The finance team gets you in and out quickly (my purchase took an hour total). If you are looking for a MINI, I Highly recommend Drew and/or Dana- they will match you with something in your budget that you will be proud to drive! I love MINI!

People make mistakes but it's how you correct it that makes you a great company.....So I've been looking for a Pre-Owned Certified Mini Countryman for a while for my daughters 21st Birthday. I finally found one online at Mini North Scottsdale that I thought she would like and truly felt it was priced fairly. I'm not one of those people that try to squeeze every dime out of a business. I have my own company and realize they are in the business to make a profit. That being said we went and looked at the car and I knew within the first few minutes that I was going to buy it for her. The car was somewhat dirty but drove great and only had 18K miles. It had everything that she wanted. The salesman promised it would be completely detailed when we picked it up on Monday evening. Well...when we arrived and pulled up next to the car we immediately noticed that not only had it not been detailed but their were multiple scratches that were not visible when we test drove it. My daughter was so upset. I told her that either they can fix it or I would not take delivery and we would find another car. Our sales person was not available at the time of the test drive so she had one of her associates handle that who was the one who promised it would be completely detail etc.. apparently that message was lost. Our original sales person Dana came out and realized how upset my daughter was and what came next was amazing. Dana called one of her managers out and the paint guy to look at the car. Within minutes they apologized and said they would make it right and boy did they. At their cost they had all the touch up paint done as well as having the car ceramic coated plus detailed the hell out of the interior. Dana kept in constant contact with me during the process sending me pics and videos. It even allowed me to have Chad and Ryan in parts to overnight the side mirror caps (black and white checkered) that she really wanted. When we went back Wednesday night to pick the car up my daughter was so nervous. We pulled into the dealership and Dana met us at the door. She took us back to a room where they deliver cars short story long... the car was perfect! What a transition! Dana had the mirror caps installed and a big red bow on the hood for her. My daughter was grinning ear to ear and I was crying but I didn't let her know. :) Dana then took a long time with my daughter going through the entire car and how to work everything! I've bought a lot of cars (way more expensive) and never had anyone spend that much time going through everything like she did. On top of that a big shout out to Bill in Finance. Even though this was a cash deal he was a gentlemen and a scholar. One of the most pleasant people I've met in a long time and was one of the managers that just simply said.. we'll make it right! And they did. Above and beyond! Like I said... people make mistakes but it's how you fix it that makes you a great company! Thanks Dana and Bill for just doing what was right for your customers! If you are in the market for a Mini Cooper please do yourself a favor and ask for Dana Halligan at Mini North Scottsdale! You can't go wrong!

I started on the Internet and chatted with John S. He was so informative about the vehicles I'd selected, so I ran up to test drive one. It was easy - just drive, and then I had to run. They DID NOT hold me hostage! I went back later in the day because I decided to buy. My sales associate, Dana Halligan, was so knowledgeable about the product! I was in awe - she sounded like a dvd tutorial, only interesting :) My finance person, Billy Jacobs, was low-key, no pressure, just offered me options without any editorial commentary. What a RELIEF! I’ve always dreamed of having a mini but I was always unsure of how practical it would be for me and my family. I found the Countryman model and fell in love with its versatility. I scheduled an appointment to come in and look at it in person and Paul, my assigned inventory specialist was very responsive and respectful. He then helped me arrange an appointment in person with Dave. My family got to come with me and Dave and everyone else at the dealership were very sweet and understanding with my ramped up kiddos. Dave answered all my questions and took the time to go over all the features and all my options without me once feeling judged for not knowing something or being uninterested in more expensive models. I needed some time to arrange the payment as we stopped in on a Sunday and Dave and his manager were very understanding and gave us several options. We were able to come back the next day where Dave helped me through the entire process with so much patience and by being such a lovely person. This was my first experience and visit with Mini North Scottsdale. I was so impressed with the friendliness, knowledge and willingness to help me from Jonathan (my Service Writer). Everyone in the Service Department was polite and helpful. Jonathan was able to pull up my vehicle’s history and found it was still under warranty. After the car was serviced, I received a text and a link where I was able to do an audio/visual description from the mechanic as he walked me through the cars check-up that was completed ~ as well as recommendations of service needed in the near future. I received a call from Jonathan that the car was finished, he let me know the status in more detail with estimated costs, of the recommended services. The experience was totally transparent and I was guided through the process from start to finish!!! Service experience is always top-notch here -- they got me in on a semi-emergency warning notice which was a relief. Love the easy access to a loaner car. Rick the service manager was extremely helpful and accommodating, great communication, helpful and very easy to work with. Their new videos from the service techs that show you and walk you through specifically what is going on with your car and necessary repairs is also a great upgrade, and gave me peace of mind that they are doing a thorough and accurate diagnosis-- and it's clear what's going on even though I know less than zero about car engines.

The videos from the mechanic were awesome! Evidence of what needed to be fixed and a clear visual. I really appreciated this extra step. This would be a fine start rating if my overall experience has been better. I schedule a recall repair and was assured they had the parts and that the repair was 2-3 hours. I took it in on 3/18 and was told they did not have the part. They did give me a loaner but I didn’t get my car back until 4/7. I had to exchange the loaner half way through at their request due to an expired registration. I had additional work completed and when I picked up my car did not have time with my service provider just the cashier. That experience did not make me feel like my understanding and satisfaction with the work done was s as priority, just the payment. Back to my first comment- thank you for the videos.

So, the service tech was courteous and helpful, and the loaner car service was great. However, the one issue that I brought my car in to be resolved, was not resolved even though I was charged nearly $500. The car will not start with the key. They replaced the EWS security module and told me that my starter was bad (I had already installed a brand new starter.) So, I spent 5 hours installing another brand new starter, and the condition with which I brought in the car still remains. Exactly the same as when I delivered the car in the first place, but my wallet is $500 lighter. Let’s hope second time around they can actually find what’s wrong with the car and not charge me another $500! But at least I have a nice loaner car ....Update addendum: After having the car 4 additional days, the service tech finally ascertained that the starting issue was attributable, NOT to a bad starter, but a ground strap that was not fully tightened. That was undoubtedly a remnant of my having replaced the alternator, and it certainly was not the original issue that led me to bring the car in to be serviced in the first place. I appreciate that they did not charge me for the second service repair, but I also feel that their carelessness in their diagnosis attributed directly to my having to do way more work than was necessary. When they told me that my brand new starter was "bad," I specifically asked if it was even remotely possible that it was just a wiring harness or loose connection instead. They assured me that it was a bad starter (and it was not!), so I had to convince Auto Zone to replace and upgrade the starter (which they graciously did) even though it bench tested as fine, and then spend 5 grueling hours in the sweltering heat, to replace the starter all over again, only to have exactly the same problem all over again. I think the service department should not only have apologized, but refunded my money as well.

After a three day road trip, coasting into town with a nail in my run flats, they got me into a loaner and while the tire wasn’t in stock they cover the cost of the loaner for the couple days it took to fix so I was still able to get to class! Our salesman David has officially sold three cars to my wife and I with our most recent purchase. The latest being the most memorable of all. We weren't expecting to be buying a car right before the holidays with an already extensive to-do list. Not only did he look at the items I asked him to but also gave me an overall condition of the car. I was very disappointed with the loaner I used for the day. It was dirty inside - crumbs in the center area. Dust or foot marks on the back of the driver seat. I would hope that during this pandemic the interior of the loaner fleet is being wiped down and sanitized in the inside after each use. I also suggest considering placing the customer in a model different from their current ride. I asked for an S and the service rep at the counter didn't know if it was or not. I appreciate the loaner availability and use it as a way to consider the next mini model to purchase. The service rep at the counter seemed irritated and bothered by my request. I have had my cars serviced at this dealership for 7 years. They are very professional, they communicate well and they get you in and out quickly with a loaner car. This has been important for me, as I have not had to miss work to get my car taken care of. Also, they have always fixed my car correctly the first time, so I have a lot of confidence in them. I did have one small issue. When I brought my car in last week, they had to disconnect the battery to repair it. It would have been helpful if they brought that to my attention when I picked up the car and helped me reconnect my phone to the blue tooth. It was a little frustrating to have to get out my owners manual and try to figure it out on my own.

Last Friday, I took a one-way flight from Salt Lake City down to the Mesa Arizona airport and then a ride share to the dealership to buy my new Mini - only to turn around and then start the 14 hour drive back home. Was it worth it? YES!!!!! I tried to give my business to the local Mini dealership in Salt Lake City; but after repeated attempts, I was unimpressed by how they treated me as the customer. Before the Costco representative even hung up the phone, I was already getting a call from the Penske Automotive Group that then informed me that I would get a call from the Mini North Scottsdale sales team. Within 5 minutes, I got that call from Drew Besenfelder - and the rest is history. He helped me to get the exact mini that I wanted - a Knights Edition John Cooper Works. And I couldn't be more happy with it! Drew made sure that everything was set and ready to go before I had arrived at the dealership. He connected me with Bill Jacobs, in finance, and had all of the paperwork shipped overnight before I had arrived so that we were 85% complete with the transaction by the time that I had arrived. So after only 20 minutes with the finance team after my arrival, Drew was ready to introduce me to my new car. It really was that fast! As a result of the experience I had, I HIGHLY recommend this dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a Mini Cooper. Unbelievable service!!!!! I have an older Mini Cooper S (2009), needed an oil change. After calling around town a little and getting "we don't do Mini's" "ya we can probably do it, bring your own filter", I decided I better just pay the price and go to the dealer. It was a little more expensive, but not much. I'd never been in there for service before, but trust its WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!! They met me at the door. They drove me across the street to Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers so I could be comfortable. "It takes about an hour and half" they said. Called when it was done and asked "hey its done, do you want to come back now, or are you still enjoying yourself there?". I said now was fine. They were there before I could pay my tab. Went back, to find my car washed, yes washed. And to top that off, inside and out!! Who does that for an oil change? They even gave me a complete printout things that needed attention. Right down to the chrome trim piece that was loose on my hood. But didn't pressure me into fixing them. Just mad me aware. And told me it was in great shape for having 118k miles on it. And wished me a good day and sent me off. WOW!!!!!! I felt like I was at the Lamborghini dealer next door. Seriously, I've never been in, but I can imagine that's how they treat you. All for a mere 90 bucks. Full synthetic load of oil too. I'll be back!!! Oh and did I mention, I called to make the appointment about 3 hours before I showed up. Thanks Mini Of Scottsdale, for making me fell like I was your only customer that day. Well done!!!!

My husband and I were looking into possibly buying a Tacoma and there happen to be a very nice looking used one at this Mini Cooper dealership in Scottsdale. We drove all of the way from Tucson to check it out and it was worth the trip. When we got there we delt with a fantastic advisor named Drew Besenfelder. He was a completely no pressure type of guy and let us take as much time as we needed to decide. He even had the techs look over the vehicle every time we wanted something inspected, and we were very thorough. Drew even let us test drive the truck several times. The evening before Thanksgiving my thermostat stuck while traveling to Tucson, Arizona. By the time I was able to pull off the road white smoke was flowing from under the hood and the engine stopped. I got my car towed home from the Tohono O'odham Indian reservation where this had happened and a few days later to MINI North Scottsdale. They replaced the thermostat but the news went from bad to worse when the engine no longer held pressure suggesting that the cylinder heads needed major work or more likely that the entire engine needed to be rebuilt. After reading my extended agreement with MINI I realized that I was responsible for the cost of this repair. This worried me because at this time finances are tight and I knew that I would have to wait to make the repair. To my amazement my service manager spoke to MINI of North America and they agreed to make the repair at no cost to me. If this had happened with my last car I know I would have had all the sympathy of the manager in the parts department but that's as far as it would have gone. Since then I have spent a lot of time telling friends about how my car dealer and the company stood behind and repaired my car despite it being more than four years old. I've owned many different cars but never have seen a company go out of their way to the extent that MINI did to not only say that they believe in their product but back that with the resources of MINI North America to make sure that I had a good experience with my MINI. By the way, I was told that my new engine came with an additional two years warranty from the date of the repair. Thank you MINI. I did make it to Tucson for Christmas. I would without hesitation recommend MINI to a friend or family member or anyone who is in the market for the best little car on the road.

Where we donated teddy bears to the children’s hospital. We all drove in a line to the hospital. Then recently we had a sock drive to donate to the shoebox ministry. I have been a satisfied customer of MINI North Scottsdale for a few years now. The constant over the years has been my sales person, Drew Besenfelder. My most recent purchase was a 2018 Mini Countryman S that I worked with Drew to acquire. I did the online build and Drew found the exact model at another dealership and had it transferred to MINI North Scottsdale in time for a road trip I had planned. Drew also worked with me to do the first JCW conversion on my Countryman! My most recent visit to the dealership was a test drive in a new 301hp JCW Clubman last week. The only option was buying a brand new (and very expensive) tire, but this dealership gave me details on how to get a second opinion. My wife just drove off in a hot 2007 Honda Fit Sport. We got a low price of $9977 for an excellent car. Brian did a great job. Tom Watson was cool. I was difficult, three test drives, and an independent inspection done by a Honda dealership. The only pressure I ever felt was from customers circling the car outside waiting to test drive it behind me. They turned away one customer in front of me, gave me first right of refusal on the car, let me do all the inspection I wanted to do, then waited while I painstakingly made up my mind. Great patience was displayed by Brian and Tom. It was a testament to the customer service you will get at Mini North Scottsdale. The whole Penske experience was awesome. There's a bit of confidence in buying a used car that sits on a lot with Rolls Royce's, Bugatti's, Ferraris, Lamborgini's, etc. You can go there just to drool over cars. It's insane. Don't look further for dealerships!

WOW, is the one word that describes our experience. My wife was looking to possibly replace her charger and was thinking of something like an SUV.
