CarMax was great! The car I wanted was in another state. They delivered it within a few days. The purchasing was smooth and easy. I purchased an Audi Q7, I had a few concerns with the paint being scratched, the tires were past their prime, and the cup holder inside was chipped (i know silly) but they painted the car, replaced all 4 tires and replaced the cup holder :) I was very pleased! They gave me a fair amount for my trade too!!! All in all a very good experience.

My experience was great.I sold a truck and the sales person was upfront,honest,respectful. The sales person checked my truck and found some flaws. The sales person shared with me the history of my truck that I was selling. It was used when I bought it had 4 owners( was told by another company was a one owner truck). End result I still was happy with the deal ,sold the truck within 1 hr. And thanked him and left. No pressure on buying another vehicle, just a pleasant thank you,have a good day. We had the BEST experience at CarMax in Manchester, NH. I got a quote via my phone for my car and they gave me an excellent price. We also purchased a vehicle from them, which was SO easy to do! When we went to pick up the new vehicle and turn our vehicle in, they gave us an ADDITIONAL $1,000 on our existing quote.! No bickering with sales people and the games that they play, etc. Easiest experience ever. I will never go back to a dealership again. By the way, CarMax gave me $8,900 MORE for my vehicle than the dealership offered for our car!

Expecting a "sweatshop" environment (afterall, I was selling a used car), I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find professional, courteous, friendly and helpful people. There was no pressure to sell or buy; no gimmicks; no "I have to go talk to my manager" stuff. I already had an offer from online - and I had answered questions honestly. After a look-over and a test drive, the report was put into the computer and a short while later, they confirmed the offer with no adjustments, no surprises and no haggling. The paperwork was all straightforward and I was given plenty of time to look it over before signing. Because I was the last appointment of the day, I had to arrange for a ride home, and several people stayed with me inside the building until my ride arrived! They could have put me on the curb in the cold, but they were gracious and nice. They earned my unreserved endorsement - and gratitude - for an exceptional experience!

The first part of selling my car went well. Then the emails were crazy, I asked a question about closing the deal on Sunday, to which they replied that my car wasn't going to there til Monday and then they needed time to prep before I could buy it, of course I was selling a car so this was crazy. Then I got another email about how they are very interested in buying my car and when could they reach me, to which I gave them the next 3 days between 1 and 4 pm, and they replied, do I have the Title, and I replied yes. End of Communication. Not being able to get in touch with anyone, I decided to show up on Sunday with all my paperwork, but no appointment. After several hours I finally got to sit with someone to finish this transaction.

I like the car. The sale was delayed a week and I had to drive an additional 70 miles from home and back due to a store policy. We just moved coast to coast and bought 3 cars that week...1 from Carmax. Carmax refused to complete the purchase until I had a NH driver's license. They falsely claimed it was a law. Two other dealers had no problem and the town clerk said all the dealer had to do was send them the paperwork. It was a routine matter. There is no such law. Five stars for the car, one star for lying and wasting my time.

Easy process. When we got home we realized that we left our EZ Pass in the car we sold. CarMax located the pass and sent it back to us via Fed Ex two days later. We really appreciate that level of service.

I have sold two vehicles at this CarMax within a few years, and both times were a great experience. The offers I received were both significantly higher than the other dealerships in the area, and the process is streamlined and fast. They can cut you a check within 20-30 minutes of arriving there. I cannot speak to buying a car from them, but if you're looking to sell your car and don't want to deal with insulting lowball offers from dealers or the hassle of selling privately, definitely try CarMax.

Kyle was great, but CarMax's process has plenty of room for improvement. I arrived early for my appointment, but it took over 45 minutes after my scheduled time for someone to see me. The actual process also seemed very drawn out for a transaction where all the information I provided was completely accurate.

I have sold two cars to Carmax and bought one recently from them. In general I am pleased with these experiences but I do have some issues that are important for others considering buying or selling a car at any Carmax. Selling a car is quite easy and should take 2-3 hours in total if you have all your paperwork (e.g. title, etc.). The price you will get should be a few thousand less market value, so that Carmax can make a profit selling it. Do not expect a premium selling price. Buying a car can be easy if the car is on the lot and is exactly the same as is stated online. However, I tried to buy a Mazda from a different Carmax that had to be delivered (they told me it would take two weeks). It took over a month and I had to keep calling or emailing (they did not stay on top of it). Finally, they told me that the title was missing and that I could not purchase the car (more than a month later). So be careful and double ensure that all the paperwork is present when you find a car. I am not sure that I believe that the paperwork was lost....especially since it is not possible to sell a car with no title. But, that is what I was told. I then purchased another car from Dulles Carmax and it was delivered to Manchester, NH. They told me to weeks and to expect an email. I did not get regular updates. I called them over two weeks later and they told me to come in (so I had to check). I was given an appointment to come in and look at the car at night (please ensure your appointment to buy a car at Carmax is earlier in the day so you are not rushed). I came in and they were not ready for me and the car was not ready either. So, be prepared to wait. Even though I paid in cash for the car the process took a long time. I was not even able to check out the car as thoroughly as I would have liked to because it was getting late and I had been there for so long. I paid and decent price and the car was good and I took it home. BUT, there were some things missing in the car that Carmax had listed as being part of the car (e.g. heated steering wheel and a few other things). Also, there was a long scratch in one area. The scratch will be repaired by Carmax next week (so I am hoping for the best). So, double and triple sure that all the things that the car should have according to the Carmax specs and the manufacture's specs and that you talk to the sales agents if something is missing. I think the only thing you can do is return the car for a refund or just not buy it....not reduce the price if some things are missing. So be warned about that. For me, the car is great even though it is missing some items that were supposed to be included, but I will not pursue it further. So, overall a great place to buy a car if you do your homework!

Had 5 offers on my suv, 7600, 8000, 10,000, 10,995, and 7650...CarMax offer was 10k....30 minutes done deal. Others lowballed and then kicked in pending inspection.....CarMax was no nonsense, just verify online statement of condition, write a check and done. Did have to take an Uber home, but, who cares, I got my price...Thanks CarMax!

CarMax EXCEEDED our expectations. We had an appointment to sell our Subaru. We were warmly greeted when we got there and our appointment was right on time. We got estimates of our car's value from two other places in addition to CarMax and CarMax had the highest offer. Our car was appraised and Carmax gave us exactly what the estimate predicted. The paperwork was simple and straightforward and the whole process was pretty quick. During the appraisal my husband looked at a car that was an EV (which we'd been waiting for an EV for 6 months) took it for a test drive and decided to purchase it. That was not in our plan but the price was right, the car had low mileage and was in exceptional condition. The purchase was as clear, easy and straightforward as the selling process was. The Carmax associate was professional, efficient and fun to work with. There was no haggling over price, no waiting for a manager to approve something, no high pressure tactics to buy "add-ons" and no pressure to buy an extended warranty (although we did purchase one). The entire process was smooth and stress-free. We highly recommend CarMax.

I was able to purchase a great car at a great price without having to get the typical dealership runaround or sales. Trade off is that it takes quite a while to go from finding your car to driving away with it. They also are terrible with communication between employees/departments and follow up. So they get a deduction for that. There was a new large scrape on the front bumper that had not been disclosed (guessing it was something that happened in transit) so they are having their service department call me to schedule that repair... It has taken going on 3 weeks to hear from them. Deduction for that. Within days of having my car it needed an oil change as well as a new windshield wiper. $150 later it runs great and there aren't any streaks when it rains. Deduction for that. In the end the joy of not having to deal with terrible salesmen outweighs the problems. I'll recommend online purchases, but couch it with all the issues. Nothing's perfect right?

I can honestly say I had the worst customer service experience of my life here. I'm only giving 3 stars because the manager assisted today and we had a good service rep today. I sold my car to CarMax, we visited on May 7, had the car appraised and got an offer. They couldn't buy it because we had to get the payoff amount from my lender, who closed at 5pm. We were told to come back the next day. We come back 2 days later, just to be told the lender for the payoff is closed on the weekends - would have been nice to be told that originally. I go back on Tuesday, leaving work early to make sure I am there before the lender closes. I get there and am told I'll have to wait two hours because I don't have an appointment. I told them to my lender would be closed and asked if someone could just call and get the info. The first thing they did right was actually get someone to help me sell the car. Next, I was looking for a new car - had not found anything through them but we took a quick look while on hold with my lender. We found a car, had to be transferred from CT. No problem, let's set up the transfer. Problem - we couldn't pay the transfer fee until the walk-around was completed. Ok, leave my card info - they will charge it as soon as they can. Two days later I'm wondering why my card has not been charged so I call them up. Problem - you cannot actually get through to the dealership you're working with. Talk to an agent who says they did not complete the transfer so the car went back to stock. Awesome, well let's transfer it please. Everything is all set - car gets here next day. No word from CarMax. Travel to the dealership on Saturday to see what's up. Oh it needs to be inspected and cleaned, no service on the weekend. Sales agent says it'll be ready on Wednesday morning at the latest. Ok, Thursday comes and no call - call and speak with a call center rep - oh, shows it will be ready tomorrow. Ok, take a drive to the dealership again on Friday, to be told they've been busy, they'll call us by 11am the next morning. Finally called at 11:20 for us to go in and do the paperwork. No way to communicate, constantly receiving incorrect information, and two weeks without a car. Honestly I would never shop with them again. I give a three because the sales rep that helped us when they bought our car (Sean), the rep (Meagan) and manager (Nicole) that helped us today were great. We were refunded the transfer fee and had a flawless transaction purchasing today. I just wish I had a better overall experience.

What can I say about CarMax? Well for starters they helped me get my dream car when I had it transferred from a different location they held it for me. I had never tried to sell or buy a vehicle through CarMax, but after reading so many positive reviews, decided to give them a try. The online instructions were simple, and response with an estimate to purchase my vehicle was very quick. It was easy to make an appointment with immediate verification and I even received a reminder as the date approached, providing instructions on what to bring to your appointment. When I arrived at the facility in Manchester, NH, I found it to be very clean (and large) and a very well managed operation. Although I had arrived for my appointment early, the staff was very friendly and accommodating and escorted me to a comfortable, clean waiting area. Shortly, one of the associates approached me, identified himself as “Alex Rogers” and gathered information from me and documents to start the appraisal. Alex was well groomed, polite, friendly, respectful and answered any, and all questions I may have had about the procedure. He then inspects, examined and took photos of the vehicle I wanted to sell and test drove it. When he returned, he told me the wait may take 15 – 30 minutes depending on how busy they may be, and even came back after a while to apologize and assure me all was well and it wouldn’t be much longer. The car I sold to CarMax had low mileage, was in excellent condition, and I believe they took this into consideration when appraising the vehicle and when he did return with the offer/appraisal figure, I found it was acceptable to what was originally quoted and we closed the sale of my car. The procedure was seamless and I was very pleased with the operation and way I was treated. I would definitely recommend CarMax to anyone who looking to sell a vehicle and get a fair price from a good company.

Super painless and the price was well above what the dealer was offering. Recently purchased a car here and the initial purchase experience was great. The offer I was given on my trade in matched what I was given online. The purchase process on the new car was as pain free and simple as advertised. All the employees were friendly and helpful. What puts CarMax above and beyond is that I moved out of state immediately after the purchase and due to some procedural issues was not able to register the car in my new state. They worked with me to return the car to a CarMax in my new state where I was able to get a different one. Any other car dealer would have left me with a very expensive paper weight. CarMax now has a loyal customer for life.

No hassle way to buy a quality used car. The price is what you pay with an OK doc fee (~$300). We went to a couple of regular dealers and there were extra fees and it was impossible to get a straight answer on price. If you want to talk to someone you really need an appt.

Had them transfer a car I liked out of Ohio, and they called me to tell me it was ready to look at, I go to look at and it was filthy inside, I asked them to clean it before I come to complete the transaction, it was not cleaned when I looked at it again the next day, they rip you off by having you pay to transfer the car from another store, what they should do is if you buy it the monies you paid for the transfer should be credited back to you.

The best car buying experience bar none. Car was transferred from another state which was a seamless process. The online appraisal for my trade in was exactly what they offered me which as over a thousand dollars more than a dealership. The car I purchased was lower than suggested retail and although a couple of small issues (which CarMax committed to service for free), the car is perfect. Process to buy the car was completely stress free and I worked with Jay and Mercy who were INCREDIBLE! I cannot recommend working with CarMax Manchester enough.

After going online looking around for Chrysler Pacifica with low mileage I found what I was looking for in Georgia and asked to reserve it. The next day I was informed that the car would be prepared and shipped to my local CarMax in NH. Shipping was delayed several weeks. When we finalized the purchase, the $800 shipping fee was waived due to the delay! The CarMax dealer in Manchester, NH was able to take care of all the details including making sure the sale could be closed even though I was in FL: and had my sister have power of attorney to close on the deal. I've never like shopping for cars but this online experience was easy, smooth and worry free. The ability to read the vehicle's service history etc. made it so I could evaluate its history and service records, so I knew the low mileage was legitimate. All in all, I found the whole experience to be positive and something I would certainly recommend.

I am sitting here trying to write a balanced, truthful review but I cant think of anything negative to say about CarMax. This is not a fake review. I bought my truck 2/1/2022. I had the truck shipped from another location. They called and made sure I understood the cost of shipping and the background/condition of the vehicle. It arrived about a week later ( they told me up to 2 weeks so 1 week was great!). I arrived at my local CarMax for a test drive that I had setup. They asked me if I wanted a 20 min test drive or a 24 hour test drive? I took the 20 min. While I was on the test drive they had my trade in evaluated. I got more $ for my car than I was expecting. The used car market is crazy so yes I got more for my trade in but also payed more for the truck. I did extensive online research and CarMax's pricing was more than competitive. They gave me a better interest rate on my loan than I was expecting. There was no bulls**t fees! There was one "Admin" fee of $299. I was expecting it to be more. There was a large enough sign as soon as you walked in stating the fee. They made no attempt to hide it. I brought my car to trade in, both key fobs, car title, proof of auto insurance (for test drive), drivers license and bank check for down payment. CarMax is a "no haggle" car dealership. The price you see is the price you pay so the buying experience is so smooth and non confrontational :-) First time in my 45 years on this planet I actually had no issues, gripes buying a car!

When it was time to sell a car we no longer needed, I did a bit of poking around. I didn't want to deal with strangers showing up at my house. A few dealers wouldn't give me straight answers over the phone. I tried Vroom and Carvana, but one wouldn't come to where I live and the other one had sketchy reviews about inconvenient pick up and drop off experiences. After numerous picture taking I waited another 10 minutes and was presented with the same quote I had gotten online, which I was happy with. I went to CARMAX because it popped up when I was researching the value of my truck and they offered to buy my vehicle. I thought it would be a good way to find out its value as I had received an offer of $2000 as a trade and thought that was very low. At CARMAX I walked in, waited about 10 mins and the rep looked at my truck took some pics and gave me an offer to purchase for $4800. All very simple and professional. The entire process took about 45 mins. I subsequently received trade-in offers at various car dealers of $3100 and$4500 (or we don't want it in trade) as I continued shopping. About 2 weeks later when I found a truck I liked elsewhere I returned to CARMAX and got an updated offer which turned out to be the same $4800. They told me they would pay off my loan during the process and give me a bank check for the balance. That's exactly how it worked. It took about an hour. Simple, quick, NO PRESSURE, they did exactly what was advertised. So much better than playing the trade-in game at a car dealer, in my opinion. I highly recommend going to CARMAX. Consider makin an appointment to reduce your wait time.

Honestly can’t thank everyone the folks at CarMax enough. From the shopping online, the finance qualification, shipping (was quoted 21 days from Cleveland, had my new truck in my garage in a week instead!) and the pickup at the dealer, it’s all be seamless. About 2 weeks after taking the truck home, I noticed a bubble on the sidewall of one of the tires as well as half my 3rd break light out. I called them at 11am, they had me in by 1, and about 40 minutes later I left with a piece of paper showing the 4 new tires and the light assembly that was on order at zero cost to me. I’ve purchased several vehicles in my life (I get bored quick) and this is the BEST car buying experience I’ve ever had. No hassle, no pressure, no irritating pushing sales or finance guys. The Rep I was working with on the phone was very nice and very well spoken which then translated to the in person rep I worked with at the store, Ben. I only have two qualms: 1) I had to pay to bring the car I chose to be delivered to me for a test drive, but when I went to go test drive I was told because this is my first car and I don’t have insurance of my own, I cannot. I feel that was really not disclosed to me before I spent the money to bring the car here. There also was never any talks or show of concern that’s what happened to me. 2) my car was not detailed when I was able to pick it up. It was actually gross. I love the car and I was excited to bring it home as it was my first car, but when I first sat in it, I said to Ben, this is dirty. He told me Tyler would clean it up for me. No— there were crumbs in the cup holders and dirt on my seatbelt, shoe marks on the back of my drivers seat, and dust all in the controls and vents. There are also really bad steaks on the windshield. It was vacuumed though. I would think during a pandemic, it would be spotless. I had the car detailed out of pocket. Other than those two points, the process is easy, and I will say I trusted the reps and car salesmen it didn’t seem pushy and they were all very helpful. Ben followed up with me 7 days later which is good business and I asked a question or two which he was able to answer.

The consultant at this location, Mikey, was truly a breath of fresh air. I know that is hard to believe, but it is 100% true. It’s so rare to feel well-informed, comfortable, and confident during any automotive transaction. The gentleman I was fortunate enough to work with provided me with those feelings and more. He had full knowledge of every aspect of the process and presented the information in a way that was easy to understand. He also was able to articulate the details and nuances of every single phase of the buying process in a clear, informative, and pleasant fashion. He was patient, thorough, and extremely professional in an industry that is notorious for being anything but. I’ve been there with 2 cars now. The first experience was fantastic!!! I didn’t wind up trading that car in, however, the amount Carmax offered helped me get the dealer to come up on their trade in value saving me $2k in negative equity in my trade. The second time I used Carmax, we sold them our car. The only complaint or rather negative was the call I received from Egypt before my appointment. She added did she was calling to prevent us from having to come in but I needed an in person to sell them the vehicle. She then said she was calling to make it easier when we got there but had nothing to add, said our record was complete. What I didn’t know is she cancelled my appointment but never told me. So, when I got the the location we had to start over. Wasn’t helpful at all and in all honesty could have done without the call. Is still give a 5 star rating despite the 2nd transaction. It was fast, courteous, reasonable, and got our check in minutes!! Total time was less than 30 minutes. Would do it again!

I wanted to sell my used, low mileage BMW for top dollar, so once I had purchased a new vehicle to replace it I visited several online sites where I could request offers. Carmax gave me the best offer, even beating the local BMW dealer by over a thousand dollars. I was a little skeptical as to whether Carmax would actually honor the full amount they offered me online once I brought it in to their dealership, but was quite pleased that they did indeed honor it in full after inspection. I think it's important that I was honest in providing my online valuation details which meant there were no issues for them to find during inspection that had not been disclosed up front. I recommend Carmax to anyone wanting to sell a used vehicle without the hassles of trying to list and sell to a private party.

I love this place. I bought a Honda civic, great little car, but not for me (It's hard to go to VWs to something with less pep). There was no hassle, the place was clean, quiet, and the staff was very helpful. I brought the civic back after 2 weeks and got 100% refund, no questions asked. Great selection of vehicles. Found an awesome truck. Had it shipped from Portland, ME to Manchester, NH. Two hour drive. Took them a week to get it there. They didn't call when it arrived. When I called them they told me it arrived a few days ago. I couldn't see it or test drive it until they inspected it. Was in their dealership for almost an hour waiting. Tested it, liked it, decided to buy it. Came back with a bank check. Just had to sign paperwork. What should have taken 20 minutes took over two hours. And guess what. $295 administrative fee added after the fact. Why not just build it into the price so people know up front. People were really nice. They have decent cars. I guess it wasn't a horrible experience but you'd think a nationwide dealership could get you in and out quickly.

We have purchased from CarMax in the past and I would have given 5 stars BUT the following happened. We asked for the car to be transferred to Manchester, NH. They said 3-5 days, took over 2 weeks. Not really a big deal so we made an appointment for a test drive once were were notified that the car arrived. We drove to Manchester (45 minutes drive) for the test drive - the car wasn't there. Some sort of issue between the location and the scheduler. No problem, we will come back. We had high hopes for this car. Went back a week later and drove it. When we went into financing, they said we HAD to put our unemployed daughter on the P&S because she is 18 and they KNEW that she would be the primary driver of the car. I said, why should it matter since MY credit and MY salary would be guaranteeing the loan. They said they HAD to because the financing (THEM) would want to know who the primary driver is. They quoted me a 9.75% finance rate for 78 months. Are you kidding me? My credit score is 760. They did offer to hold the car for 3 days while I got my own financing. That was so nice since we already drove there twice for this car and the process took about a month. I got my own financing, 2.75% and 65 months by the way. Went back a third time, they changed the P&S to reflect only my name and we completed the purchase. I love CarMax for the no haggle prices but the push to try to get an additional $50 per month over 13 extra months out of the car payment with their financing is appalling. Who in their right mind would agree to 9.75% when rates are around 4% right now? Shady in my opinion. I will say that the people in Manchester were very lovely. My only complaint is that the sales person was very rehearsed in EVERY answer to any question. She did not come from a place of knowledge or logic. She seemed to have a script she had to recite. We did not have this issue the first time we purchased from CarMax which was the Portland, ME store. Moral of my story....check the financing rate if you are getting your financing through CarMax. Don't just look at the monthly payment. I have caught other dealerships (not CarMax) focusing on the monthly payment and never showing you the interest rate. I think it is standard procedure. Buyer beware?

I wish I could shout out all the names of the folks I worked with as everyone was very helpful. I did have an issue with the brakes on my Flex but they scheduled some time to come in and took care of it promptly. unfortunately I have to give 3 stars, it took more than nine days to get my car which I love but the communication was terrible, I started with one person and then ended up speaking to several, everytime I had to re explain things, then when I went to finalize paperwork which was only supposed to take five minutes took 2.5 hours because the person I was dealing with for the 2nd time had to go home for a pet emergency, so then someone who just started helped me which took the 2. 5 hours and to top it off I didn't get the pretty bow on the car experience, so I drove home and the next day guess what, my car wouldn't start, they never let it run while it sat so I had to use roadside assistance on day one. I also had to miss two days of work because I had to sit at the dealership for so long I wouldn't make it to work on time. It wasn't a pleasant experience for me.

They really should have taken my car through a car wash before I picked up. 1.5 weeks after i bought car, I had a maintenance message on dash board when I get in stating fluid levels are low and not to drive car. I called carmax and it will take a week before they can look at it. Odd that a new vehicle wasnt topped off on all fluids before it was let go. Other that these small complaints the process was easy.

I recently purchased a 17 Ram 1500 from the Manchester, NH location through transport from Westborough, Ma. Couple things to point out: Pros: 1. The people there are great. I love their uplifting, no pressure attitudes. I wish all car dealerships were like carmax. 2. In short, their ease of picking the truck online to signing paperwork and getting the keys couldn’t be any better. 3. Covid safety was truly top notch. Cons: 1. Plan on doing your own financing through a bank of your own unless you’re desperate for a car. They have their own financing, but expect to pay at least 8% APR even with good credit. I ended up getting 3.25% through my own bank. 2. They have an option where you can finance with carmax temporarily while you finance through your own bank. Don’t do that. It’s difficult to close through your bank. Either finance through carmax or don’t. 3. I don’t know what happened between transport and their touted quality check, but I wasn’t impressed. The truck was a lease, the previous owner dumped too many miles and it was clearly parked under a pine tree for a year. This truck was loaded with sap and I asked to have it cleaned up, but the gentleman that closed on the truck said he would call to have it cleaned up at a later date including an new inspection sticker. This call never happened. The interior is also stained up when I was told it was cleaned out. The quality check needs an overhaul. Cliff Notes: Carmax is a great place to find a used car. The people are great, but do your own financing and make sure you test drive your promising vehicle right to your trusted local mechanic.

I’ve was off and on viewing CarMax for about a year. Very skeptic of how you can buy a car without driving and touching it. I’m older school (NOT OLD), where haggling and taking risks based upon a sales persons word is part of the challenge! So after reading reviews, trying to talk myself away from such a silly idea of buying a car online, talking to people that had purchased through CarMax, I figured I’d give it a try... I regret nothing! The business model for this company is spectacular. The effort they put in to make you as comfortable as possible is second to none. I didn’t want this to go this well. I wanted my cynical side to be right that you can’t possibly buy a car on line and be happy with it. A Car! Not a pizza you can toss out if you don’t like it or a pair of shoes you can send back. A CAR! Now the caveat to this great experience is to read everything you can, their site pretty much gives you all the info on each vehicle. I additionally purchased CarFax Premium for a further in-depth look at the vehicle (your choice but remember I did not want this go well so I could be right, for once anyway. Yes I’m married). I chose a vehicle that had to be shipped to my location so it was on my dime to do it. Very inexpensive and again my choice. They have many, many vehicles at every location. Just depends on what you are looking for. From the first phone call to the test drive. From driving my vehicle home to the follow up after purchase, the people at CarMax made buying my vehicle effortless and enjoyable.

Showed up at a dealership on 6/30/2021. I received a KBB offer of $2,682 and this location was one of KBB"s recommended locations which was about $400 more than the offer I received from CarMax. To my surprise and insult, the dealership came back with an offer of $500 and wouldn't budge or give me the side-by-side comparison. First, let me give some quick background. In late January, I purchased a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS from a MA dealer. I drove the car for a while and it turned out the car wasn't for me. It was mechanically sound, low mileage, and in fantastic shape, but it was too much car. I wasn't ready for a true sports car. I had heard of CarMax and how you can sell a car and leave with a check the same day so I figured I'd see what CarMax Manchester would offer on the Camaro. I was hopeful I wouldn't take too much of a loss. Now, my personal experience may have been timing. I was told by Ashley, the associate I worked with (who was polite, respectful, and kind as could be) that CarMax Manchester was hurting for cars to sell. Maybe it's because mine was a sports car, but the offer they gave, was, well, let's just say I was blown away. In a good way. The experience could not have been more painless. I walked in, was greeted by the kind staff immediately, was seen not 5 minutes later, and was out the door with a check in hand for the sale 45 minutes after that. Ashley was incredibly sweet, and talked cars with me while I was waiting! I can see why the CarMax model is so successful. I actually have a 2018 Ford Fusion Sport on order and, if I end up liking the car, if the buying process is as hassle free and easygoing as the selling process, I would have no hesitations to do business with CarMax Manchester. As far as purchasing the vehicle it was seamless and actually enjoyable. However, just 5 days after buying my Jeep I broke down on my way to work and my "new to me" Jeep had to be towed back to Carmax. I lost a day of work and was absolutely frustrated that the exact same reason I got rid of my old car was now an issue with my new car! Carmax did pay for the tow truck, the rental car and fixed the problem (it was the throttle box). I had my car back the very next evening and (knock on wood) no further issues since. I strongly recommend having the vehicle inspected by your own mechanic (I was actually taking my Jeep that very same day to mine for an inspection). Even though this was a very frustrating and stressful situation I was treated exceptionally well and the manager of the Carmax made sure I was OK, that the tow truck arrived and that the rental was provided without issue. They truly do stand behind the vehicles they sell and in-light of this unfortunate event I would still purchase another vehicle from Carmax.

Have not purchased a car from here yet! It is different that your typical car dealership. They do not hound you when you are just looking. All the cars on the lot are all unlocked so you don't have to feel the pressure of having to deal with a salesman. The price you see on the window is final price. They call it there no Hagel price. Price is firm,no if and or buts. Staff is always happy and willing to help you when you ask questions. They do not breath down your neck. Makes the shopping or browsing experience a breeze. When we are ready to buy a car we will be going to Car Max!!
