Ok, where to start? I had been, literally, calling around the entire country looking for an available blacked out 2022 Tahoe, since they seem to be the hottest commodity since the Tickle-me Elmo craze. According to their website, Bob Hook had the (almost) exact vehicle I was looking for, AND it was available. From my very first call (I live in Tampa, FL), the sales staff was friendly, knowledgeable, serious about customer service, and willing to work with me to make the mods I wanted. They didn't have to do that. Someone else could've called 10 mins later and bought it "as built." The market is that hot, but they were really awesome to help me out. Also, and this is HUGE: They aren't charging a "market adjustment" on their vehicles. A market adjustment on a Tahoe from what other dealerships wanted, ranged from 10k-15k ABOVE sticker. Believe me, I probably talked to 50 dealerships around the country. In short order, I was communicating with the sales manager, Kelly. He is, without a doubt, a first-class leader. There were a few accessories necessary to make my Tahoe EXACTLY what I wanted (different wheels/tires, emblems, lettering), and Kelly ordered everything right on time. I was initially told by Kelly my vehicle would be delivered by the "middle of April." The truck was ready April 12th, and I took delivery on April 13th (had to fly up from Tampa). Upon arrival in Louisville, I was picked up at the airport BY MY SALESPERSON, Max. He was super friendly, and prepared to expeditiously complete the sale so I could get on the road (12.5 hour drive home). He was generous with his time to show me all the cool features my old 2013 Honda Odyssey lacked, and I finally got to meet the one I worked with most (to ensure EVERYTHING was right), Kelly. Seriously...he's amazing. Actually, everyone was amazing. Typically, the worst part of the buying experience, finance, turned out to be a breeze because of Cecelia. She was professional, had my paperwork ready to sign, and clearly presented me with opportunities to further protect my investment without distasteful, high pressure tactics. I was in and out in 30 minutes, and I cannot recommend this dealership enough. I will buy my next vehicle 900 miles away in Louisville, KY, at Bob Hook because the experience is worth it.

Bob Hook is my preference of Chevrolet dealerships in the area. However, once again I had to clean my seat before driving off. I think the paper used to protect the floor mat should already be removed, steering wheel and gear shift sanitized, fingerprints wiped off door handle and windows should all be done by attendant when car is ready for pickup. I’m sure some trashy cars come in for service but mine is not one of them.

Bob Hook Chevrolet service is the best!! Was coming into Louisville from Cincinnati on Tuesday, and started have transmission slipping issues. Called Keith King in service department, Explaining I needed to be headed to Georgia for my job on Sunday. The van was completely gross. If I had a do over I would return. The seats were covered in stains and they tried to cover up the floor board with cheap floor mats. The Michael Sweets did come and pick up the van and take it for detailing and repair. The old days of a pushy, overwhelming car salesman are no more. Its a new environment with the ever changing times. No haggle, no hassle, no nonsense. I chose a car that had a an issue that could have become a nightmare. A used car, no warranty. Not even a limited one. I was nervous because the car sales business has earned a reputation to sometimes be not so caring after the purchase has been contractually set in ink. NOT THIS TIME. THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE. PLEASE READ. 1. Made the deal after 4 days. It was mine. Got it home and boom, see oil. I take it back, I request that they just take a look to see whats up. They do and even fix what appears to be the problem. 2. I leave, almost home, the cover that protects area from debri falls almost all the way off. And there is still a leak. The saturatedcober and worn out clips are my indicator. 3. Next day, I call service, they put me through to management who tells me to bring it in again to see what the problem still is. Now, remember, they are not obligated to do anything because theres not warranty at all. 4. I take the car and after several hours the service fixed the actuall problem that had been overlooked, AND ordered all new replacement sheild and clips. Now this is my experience and not everyones situation will be equal. It could have been bad for me, but the whole staff proved to me to be upstanding and full of integrity. I will never for forget and cannot thank them enough. I recommend this dealer to anyone looking to purchase off their lot. Remeber, you get more bees with honey, than poo.

If you own a Chevy, GO HERE!!!!! Do not go to the one on Preston. They don't pick up, but Bob Hook does and is on top of things. I called the operator who not only picked up, but was professional and transferred me with no problem. I spoke with Mr. Kelly, made an appointment, he knew the price, informed me of what jobs were to be done, and was so polite. I had to reschedule, but that wasn't a problem and I had no delay. There was one issue. I walked in the main building and was not approached by anyone, but walked to the receptionist who pointed me in the right direction. I realized it Friday night, spoke to Jason on Saturday, and by Monday it was resolved. A lot of dealers don’t care once they’ve made the sale. But Bob Hook Chevy does. He could have easily told me to kick rocks, tough luck. But instead he worked with me to come to the absolute best case scenario resolution, which I thought would be absolutely impossible. Not only that, they beat the apr that my Credit Union was offering, which I did not see coming.

4/9/21 update: Going down some stars. It's been 2 weeks since purchase date and we still can't register the vehicle because they haven't submitted the paperwork. Wasted time at the BMV. Plus we got gouged on our finance rate; refinanced elsewhere for less than half the apr they found. Bring your own financing to this place or get screwed! Thanks to Don Mills for helping us get our sweet Ford Transit extended high roof. Van was as advertised on the web site and Don held onto it once we called that morning, which we appreciated because we came from >3 hours away. We've already started adding the bed frame to turn it into a camper. Vanlife here we come!

From there our test drive was shortly after. During the test drive, Jake listened and never interrupted when my wife, kids, or myself were speaking. When we arrived back to the dealership the kids were restless as most kids are in these situations. So Jake grabbed some water bottles for everyone and another staff member helped get them popcorn. They eventually had cartoons on in the waiting room keeping them occupied. To shorten the review up a bit. Jake sold us the car my wife wanted and it was an effortless process. Also on a side note we kept calling him Jake from State farm and he was a great sport about it. He was professional yet personable on every level. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed before we left. He even drove around the area to find a screw to fit perfectly to secure the back temporary tags, lol!

Let's start with the fact that I have been a Honda customer since 1994. Last fall, when my lease was up, I went back to Honda to turn in my old lease and get a new one, the same as I have done for the past 6 years. Long story short, I was not treated well and I was not satisfied with my experience. My husband also leased a CRV with Honda and his lease ended in February. Upon hearing about my experience he said he didn't even want to deal with Honda. I told him about Don Mills at Bob Hook Cheverolet. I said that Don was an experienced professional (27 years with Bob Hook) and that customer service was his expertise. We went to visit Don this past weekend. We were greeted with a smile from everyone there, we told Don exactly what we needed and our price range. He showed us exactly what we asked for without trying to "upsell" us like Honda did me. He spent time discussing the different models and features. When we made our decision, he advised us on the best option regarding our old leased vehicle and presented us with a competitive price with no hidden charges or fees. We left that day without our Chevy only because we had to turn in our leased vehicle back to Honda. However, Don had the dealership hold our car and Don came in on HIS DAY OFF to finish up the final details. My husband and I drove home happily in our 2019 Chevy Traverse. We had quite an interesting experience... After our car had overheated enough that it no longer was worth fixing, we bought a 2013 Chevy Cruz the first weekend of October. It overheated on the way home from the dealer. My husband called Derek and told him what happened. I was completely ready for a "now darlin'..." kind of speech when I brought the car back, to which I was ready to let them have it! I have dealt with some very condescending dealerships in the past. When I took it back to the dealer, they had a loaner car ready for me and took care of me, without any problems or condescension. 3 weeks later with a brand new engine part, I went to pick up my car. A week later, it overheated again. I took it back in and again they took care of me. Derek was unbelievably helpful! 2 weeks later, they had sold the loaner I was using so they switched me to a 2014 Chevy Cruz while I waited for a brand new engine in my car. 2 weeks after that, my car was ready. 2 full months after we purchased the car. On the way home, the dash lights started flashing "service traction system" and the screen went blank. Derek met me at my house with the same loaner car (that I really liked) and he took mine back to the dealer. He kept saying how he had never seen anything like this, to which I replied- it would only happen to us- it's our luck! He had already talked to the owners of the dealership so when I called the next day to say I'm done with the car, they had already decided to get me out of the one I bought and trade for the 2014 loaner. I went in Saturday and they had everything taken care of. This really was a crazy experience and could have been SO MUCH WORSE! Most dealers, I'm sure, would have been like "well, I hate that for you. You're SOL!" But Derek was so friendly and made sure we were taken care of! And never once did I feel like I was an inconvenience to them or did they try to belittle me as a woman. Now, I have a newer car with less miles and because of the wonderful treatment I received, I am a happy customer:).

I even met the man Bob Hook himself and he was a good guy too. I downsized vehicles (traded my 15’ Denali in for a 03’ higher mileage Silverado). I was given a very fair trade in value. I was shocked. Usually I end up selling private b/c most dealerships rip you off. All that being said, at no point did I feel like I wasn’t worth Colleen’s while buying probably the cheapest thing on the lot. All these great things to say, and I almost forgot to mention, these great ppl even stayed late for me on DERBY DAY to ensure we could get the deal done so I didn’t have to make another hour drive out to Louisville. I have purchased two vehicles from Bob Hook, one at the Shelbyville location and one at the Bardstown Road location. Both were a delight to deal with, and I have received follow up calls about my vehicles. My first vehicle, Chevy Tahoe Hybrid, had some issues, and they worked hard to make sure it was corrected and covered under warranty, even with the multiple visits to the store. Second vehicle was just in an accident, not our fault, and they are working hard to get us back up and running and I have full faith in their service/body shop to repair the vehicle to it's new condition. I have ordered a few aftermarket parts from them as well, and received the parts in a timely manner, and they verified each part would work on my Tahoe, since it isn't a standard edition. Each time I have visited, I have been treated well, and they haven't pushed any unneeded service work on me. Look for online discounts for oil changes, and other service items, as this will save you some money. Our second vehicle wasn't something they had on the lot, but were able to locate it for us, and my wife is extremely happy with it. I will be purchasing more vehicles from Bob Hook Chevrolet in the future, and will continue to take vehicles to them for service work I do not do myself.
