My experience is was not the best (this particular time) as I was due for a LOT of pricey maintenance. I have been having my Galant serviced by Universal Mitsubishi for more than 8 years. The people here are always polite and helpful. I just went in for my new fobs to be synced, an oil change, and a panel on my door to be adjusted. The service went well and I was in and out in less than 2 hours. I had gone to other dealerships in the past right before I started going to Universal Mitsubishi and suffice to say I stayed with them as it was easy see after a few routine visits why they have so many service awards.

I am always nervous and skeptical with dealerships. I brought my new Used Mitsubishi for a full inspection and a second opinion to make sure everything was good to go with my purchase. Paul in the service department was excellent and explained everything in detail, answered all my questions and helped me understand how the car functions as well as what I needed to do as per my inspection. Transparent and honest about costs involved and this was really appreciated as I cannot say the same for where I bought the car from.
I will be back for servicing my car ongoing at Universal. I Recommend this dealership if you own a new or used Mitsubishi for servicing. I cannot speak on purchases as I got the car elsewhere. However servicing I got was excellent. Thanks Paul.

They sold me a pre-owned 2016 Chevy Volt back in 2019 with less than 24k miles on it. After negotiations and signing the paperwork, I discovered these three things were deceptive and dishonest:
1) After a test drive with no floor mats, they gave me some floor mats that looked decades old (see photos).
2) They gave me the choice of a cheap aftermarket charger or a an original charger with severely damaged cord.
3) Today I realized that they never gave the the flat repair inflator kit that should have came with the vehicle! I will be phoning the dealer and asking for the inflator kit and will upgrade this review if they give it to me.

The purchase of any car is a challenge because there is a negotiation involved. The sales here is normal: negotiate, negotiate, and negotiate more. I enjoy negotiation in general, so it was fun. Stan was my salesperson, very kind and straight forward, as well as very patient. The general manager is a tough cookie to negotiate with, but he is trying to make a living for everyone at the dealership. When I explained my situation clearly, they listened and were reasonable. Give some and take some, then the deal is done. My philosophy is to treat everyone nicely and professionally. Then, they usually reciprocate. This dealership is very clean and new. The service manager named Paul seems friendly and reasonable. I'll have to bring my new Mitsubishi in for service to find out how well they will provide service. The bottom line is that I purchased a Mitsubishi from here, not elsewhere. I never owned a Mitsubishi before, so I look forward to learning more about owning it through this dealership. 5 🌟's for Stan, 5 🌟's for cleanliness, 4.75 🌟 for GM, all average out to about 5 🌟's. Mind you, nobody is perfect...

I had a bit of an issue at Bakersfield dealership. So, I called Universal Mitsubishi and Armen schedule me right away. They were courteous friendly, and efficient. They helped me with the recall. I definitely recommend this place to get your service done on your car.

Paul (in service department) has excellent communication skills. I really appreciated his regular calls on any updates for the status of my vehicle. Paul, the service manager, is someone who I've dealt with for 18 years. He has always provided me with excellent customer service when it came to my 2004 Lancer.
This time the check engine light came on. I called Paul & he arranged to get me in on Friday. It turned out my catalytic converter needed to be replaced. There wasn’t an original replacement part but Paul was able to secure 3rd party replacement which was California State approved. I needed other repairs done as w. Paul & his team were able to get the parts in lethan a day. Paul promised to have my car ready by Saturday at 3 pm & it was. Amazing given how much work needed to be done.
Now that Universal Mitsubishi & Paul the service manager are back in Van Nuys, I’m very happy. The quality of work done & the level of service is excellent. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Not only that, he seemed genuine, helpful, and truly caring. After expressing that I would not be able to afford the recommended services to fix my vehicle, he helped brainstorm, used his connections, and came up with solutions for me to be able to fix my car, within my budget. Great experience -- the "Routine Maintenance Required" light kept flashing in my 2015 Outlander. The Universal folks checked it out, changed the oil, cleaned out some rust that was affecting the acceleration, and I was on my way in less than two hours. And I certainly noticed the improved zccdleration on my way home!

Working with Paul Tokatlyan is a breath of fresh air. He helped me save around $3,000 on parts and service. He and his team took their time figuring out what was wrong with my vehicle. Universal Mitsubishi has been a life saver. I've taken my truck for service to Paul ever since he was in Glendale and now since they moved to Duarte we've continued to service our truck with him. He always gives us great prices and gets the job done. On my last trip I was surprised to hear that the truck needed a new transmission and he went ahead and got that replaced for us under warranty and while that was getting installed he gave us a loaner. It gave me a piece of mind knowing I had transportation to use while our vehicle was getting serviced. Paul thank you for taking care of our truck and us as well. I definitely recommend Universal Mitsubishi for getting all of your services done here. BTW.. now they are in Sherman Oaks. Closer to my job. Heck yea!

I experienced a problem after taking my 2018 Outlander Sport to a certified Japanese repair shop close to where I live. They have great reviews, however, they didn't do a great job on my vehicle. I started experiencing a rattle noise, up front, when going over road bumps about three weeks after having a complete break job. Since they did a few things I didn't like, I had no interest in taking it back to them to try and resolve the rattle noise. Long story short, they didn't use the right parts or do the repair work correctly, and components came loose, and that's what was causing the rattling. I was hesitant to take it just anywhere, and thought it best to take it to a Mitsubishi Dealer because they know their vehicles best. I reviewed a few, and decided on Universal Mitsubishi in Duarte. First off, as soon as I pulled into their service area, I was greeted by friendly staff, and was referred to Paul, the Service Manager. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. I realized I had worked with him in the past, when he worked at Glendale Mitsubishi, so it was a nice surprise. He made me feel confident about their service, and within an hour of taking my vehicle, he was able to provide a reasonable professional answer, the cost to fix what wasn't done correctly, by the other certified repair shop, and a timeline for completion. I was impressed. I also had a few other items I wanted done, and Paul was quick to let me know the best options, and worked with me on pricing. I'll definitely be going back when needing additional maintenance. I take care of my vehicle, and want to keep it in great condition, and I feel confident Universal Mitsubishi will provide the best service for the best price. Just wished I had taken it to them the first time. Live and learn!

I received a service engine light for a few days on my '08 EVO X. I called Paul at Universal Mitsubishi and he suggested I bring it in to have it thoroughly checked. We found that the Mass Air Flow Sensor was failing and replaced it. Paul did additional tests on the car and once it was done, and I drove the car, it felt like brand new. I took my Evo X in again after being told by a local shop that some of my strut bolts were loose. Took it to Universal and they said there was nothing wrong with the bolts. They did however find an issue with my clutch. Paul did offer my a discount and a loaner while they fixed the car. They did an amazing job as always. Great service team A+++.

While driving the Evo X, I noticed a squeaking sound coming in when changing gears. I called Armen at Universal and brought the car in. After assessment, Paul told me that there was movement with the camber bolts and struts which, ideally needed replacing. After all items listed, Paul did provide me with a discount as there was quite a bit of work to be performed. I was provided with a rental while Universal team went into action to replace and fix all the items.
Picked up the car, and it is running like brand new. Thanks to Paul, Armen and the technician team for brining the EVO back to a 'new' life. The car is running extremely smoothly and has the power at the touch of the pedal. Thank you for your diligence in noting things before it becomes last minute.
If anyone is thinking that independent mechanics are cheaper, think again, and get the warranty and OEM parts from Mitsubishi. The prices are now equivalent, so dealer services are quite competitive. And you get the Warranty backed by the Manufacturer.

The only dealer willing to solve my issues. When my new car had an intermittent bug with the proximity sensors, I took it to the dealer I bought it from, another dealer, and then finally this dealer, and only Paul here confirmed my problem and got me a replacement. Even when I call for small matters, he somehow recalls my car and knows right away if I should take it in. I only try to deal with Paul here because I never got the sense he would try to upsell me on unnecessary services that dealerships have a bad reputation for.

Paul Tokatlyan was great to work with. After a misdiagnosis at a local service center left my elderly car out of commission, I had it towed to Universal Mitsubishi noon last Saturday. Later that day the problem had been diagnosed and estimates provided -- both the estimated completion time and cost estimate were less than I was expecting. By Tuesday afternoon my car was up and running. The time and total cost of the repairs were exactly as quoted. Again, Paul was great as he kept me informed on the progress throughout. Ok, I admit they did do a good job. They seemed unwilling to help me ship the car to me so I flew in and picked it up. This was not so much of a problem but it did result in me paying 9.75% sales tax from the LA instead of my Michigan 6% sales tax. I was initially not really impressed with everything but with 2 months retrospect they actually did provide a solid with everything they said. The car was as described, great shape no issues. They did register it for me and send me the plates. I did not understand how any of this worked but it did work and I am still very happy with my purchase at Universal Mitsubishi. I would recommend doing business with them. Of course always do your homework first, I did and it payed off BIG TIME for me.

When I arrived for service at 8:30am there were many cars ahead of me and the wait room was full already. By the time my car was checked over for service it was about 9:30am. I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer that I've maintained myself for a few years and 50,xxx miles. I started throwing the p0421 Check Engine Light code and registration for the car was coming up. I called the service department at Glendale Mitsubishi and told them what was going on. Christopher answered my call and was able to promptly schedule an appointment that worked with my schedule. The dealership is about an hour from where I live so I appreciated his ability to work with my limited time slots.
When I got there Christopher helped me right away. We filled out paperwork for less then ten minutes and he told me the car would be ready in a couple hours. My girlfriend and I used the time to explore the nearby Americana shopping center and have lunch. The car was finished early and Christopher called to let me know.
All the services I had performed were Mitsubishi Factory recalls but I was worried that I might experience some shady mechanic underhandedness with hidden fees, etc., This was not the case at all. Everything was performed free of charge as per the recall and Christopher made us feel comfortable the whole time.
TLDR: I was weary about having service work done at the dealership and its location made me even more reserved but Christopher took awesome care of us and I am 100% percent satisfied with my business at Glendale Mitsubishi.

Paul has been taking care of this 2004 Lancer Evolution 8 car since new. When the 6 yr. included service expired I usually did oil changes, brakes and other minor service myself. Transmission/transfer case problems at 90kmi were covered under the 10 yr. drivetrain warranty. At 175kmi the sunroof malfunctioned so it was brought it all the way in from Palos Verdes to their new location where they quickly diagnosed the problem as some backed out mounting screws. Repair was done perfectly.
It’s been a great car; it is still an amazing rocket. I’ve taken it to the track a couple of times and it is much more stable to drive there than my Porsche. And the service has been great. Thank you Paul!

Went to Glendale Mitsubishi this past weekend to look at a 2013 Evo X GSR. Gina had contacted me a few months before and kept in touch until I was ready. Got to Glendale and Gina was busy with another customer so Armando helped me in the beginning. He was very helpful. Then when Gina was free she came and introduced herself. She had a very positive attitude and was willing to help me out. Then Mike (the general manager) came and started talking numbers. And he ended up giving me a great deal on a Phantom Black Evo X that they had. So we went to the bank to get the down payment (cashier's check) and came back to talk to the financial department. He was really nice as well clarifying any questions I had. Once that was done Gina took me outside and showed me how to operate some of the things in the car. She was so helpful throughout this whole process up until I drove home with the car that day. And she has still kept in touch and told me I can always contact her if I ever need anything. Overall the experience here was great compared to other dealers that I went to. And they even washed the car and gave me a free full tank of gas. Now that's how you take care of a customer. I'm glad I made Glendale Mitsubishi my choice.

First off let me just say that these guys made it possible for a 23 year old with bad credit to get a brand new 2016 car with low monthly payments. These dudes work with you!! They want to make deals. I had such a great experience here. Every employee was friendly, helpful, and kind. Armin, Jay, John, Alvo, were all great. Alvo is perfect for sales. The guy is patient, made good recommendations, and knew every car he showed us without reading a note pad or the dealer display sheet. Jay? Coolest guy ever. Funny but got our business handled quick. Armin? He's straightforward and honest, BUT he will try to help you out. I was trading in a car that I had a negative equity (owed more than what the car was worth) and Armin was real with me. He didn't sugarcoat anything, and that's what you need when going into buying a new car. My credit was poor and I only had 2000 for down-payment, but guess what? They made it work! They even asked me if I wanted to put more as down payment that they could give me a fully month to get the rest. They gave me a 4th of July discount a week after the bank stopped the promotion. Armin got me the premium warranty for ONLY $5 more on my payments! The finance manager Jon was chill. He suggested I get a Safeguard service pack covering tires, rims, dents, bumps, paint scratches, and cracked windshield for ONLY 18 extra bucks. It sounds like they nickel and dimed me right? Nope! They didn't pressure me into adding those plans, they SUGGESTED them to me. They made gave me multiple alternatives to paying and plans. But what I got was pretty awesome! Not only is that service UNLIMITED FOR 5 YEARS, Jon actually LOWERED MY INTEREST RATE so I save all the extra cash I would have paid for the premium warranty and Safeguard service pack and lowered my monthly payment from the original set price. I live 1,300 miles from UNIVERSAL MITSUBISHI and I purchased a vehicle 100% via text and telephone...other than photos, completely sight unseen.
I am also in car sales and I had nothing but positive interactions with Tiki and Daniel during our dealings and post-sale follow up.
As with any used car purchase, do your research on the vehicle and don’t be afraid to ask all of the important questions (ie: history, service, smoker, prior paint work, dents, number of keys, manual, etc.)
