I attempted to test drive and purchase a Ford truck at my local Ford dealer in Lafayette IN. The salesman there had no interest in actually selling me a truck. I was given the keys to all the used trucks that were close to what I wanted and told to test drive them on my own and let them know if i wanted to buy one. My son in law was also looking for a similar truck at this same time, he purchased one at your dealership and said he got great service and a great price on a Ford truck. When I came to your dealership I am happy to say I had the same experience with Patrick Smith. Great sales experience. I was able to choose and purchase the truck I wanted and drive away feeling that I secured a great deal. I love my truck.

Honestly amazing got in got my jeep and on my way in a few hours. I have been looking for the perfect jeep for two years. Michael Starnes was my salesman a really amazing guy. Been a Loooong day but drove around 5 hrs 1 way to this dealership for a great deal. Gotta say, I don't trust any dealership employee due to the fact I've been lied to so many times. This has actually been a great experience. We arrived and was immediately taken care of. Mike treated us (kids and husband) like family and it made the wait go by very quickly. This isn't your normal dealership. They seem to actually care about their customers. I have definitely fount my go to for my next trade in! Thanks Mike, Scott and our finance guy Chris! This was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. Mike was easy going and easy to talk to from the minute we were looking for a replacement vehicle. He never made me feel pressured to buy. My mom and I were being helped through the paperwork process by his partner so they could maximize their service! The finance guy was so charming which helps the 50000 page contracts not seem so overwhelming.

I have purchased close to 45 vehicles, mostly new at dealerships, and my experience with Sean and Joel was one of the best. I stopped in to drive a used Bronco to “rule it out” before heading to an appt the next day to purchase a Toyota 4Runner. Sean put me in a car within 5 minutes and after realizing how much I loved it, plus the fact Bill Estes doesn’t charge a ridiculous mark-up on Broncos like other dealers, I was ready to talk numbers. In less than 20 minutes I had a quote on my trade in, and an offer on the table. Joel had me in and out of finance quickly without any hard sell of add ons and I was done. I wasn’t prepared to do a deal, so I had to move stuff from one vehicle to the next - without prompting Sean had both vehicles pulled inside so I could swap my stuff out of the cold. That kind of little item can make all the difference in the buying experience! I highly recommend Bill Estes. The entire staff I interacted with - even the other sales folks - were friendly and enjoyable to engage with while I waited on the deal. Sean was responsive and no nonsense and I left with a vehicle I believed I would never have been able to afford at any other dealer. A+

We stopped by in October 2021 just to see what we would need to order a Raptor 37 package. The moment Mike Parham sat us down we felt like we’ve known him our whole life. He introduced us to Scotty who knew everything there was to know about the Raptors and the packages. We knew the Raptor would not be here anytime soon but the relationships we made will absolutely be worth the wait. They have been in constant contact about the status of the order even when nothing has changed. We stopped by today to look at an Explorer ST and ended up coming home with it. We have the perfect SUV while we wait for our order and we couldn’t be happier. This is a very honest dealership who will do anything right by the customer.

It is rare you come across a car salesman that genuinely loves the cars and brand he sells but Scott Halfaker at Bill Estes Ford is that guy! He called to tell me of a used GT350 Mustang that had come in and I could tell he saw this one as a special car in how the original owner had cared for it. I went and saw it and sure enough, Scott was right! I didn't purchase it at that first visit but Scott kept in touch, keeping me informed of how the dealership was prepping the car for sale. In a non-pressured, good way, he convinced me this was the right car at the right time, so I now have this beautiful Mustang in my driveway. Thank you, Scott, for your dedication to know your product but also in how well you professionally care for your customer!

I just wanted a truck for less than $20k. Mike approached and asked if he could help, told him what I was looking for, and he had one come in fresh off of trade. Usually, people complain about everything. Mike did not. He is a good person to work with. Estes has done a few repairs on my other Ford vehicles, and it is always a good experience. Estes is actually fixing a few items after inspection (on vehicle purchased). This is much appreciated. Overall, all of my experiences with Bill Estes Ford have been overwhelming positive.

I really enjoyed purchasing my truck from Bill Estes Ford. Usually buying a new or used car is painful, but they made it simple, answered my questions (some at 11pm) about the truck and made it worth my while to drive from Castleton to Brownsburg to finalize your he paperwork and enjoy my new truck. I walked in the door mostly knowing which truck I wanted and Jacob make the purchase process very easy. I was in and out in less than 3 hours, test drive included. The truck had a cracked windshield when I bought it and even though they weren't able to get it into the dealership in a reasonable amount of time to get it replaced, they allowed me to have Safelite do it and reimbursed me for the full amount. I would purchase with Jacob again.

As out-of-town buyers, there is always an element of trust involved in committing to a car unseen. We chose Bill Estes Ford in part because of how well it was reviewed online, but we remained cautious. Throughout the process, our salesman was very low pressure, pricing was reasonable, and negotiation was fair. We made all arrangements remotely, drove down in the morning, quickly and efficiently test drove the car, finished all paperwork, and were on our way back home by early afternoon. Great place overall but expensive. Got towed in off Interstate with breakdown. The folks I dealt with there were nice and friendly. Waiting area had coffee machine, water bottles and some breakfast bars. Very clean overall as well. Was able to get a quick ride to Casey's to grab a few slices of pizza since i was there from open till almost 345 that day. Honestly dealer repairs aren't ever cheap or "affordable" but that's too be expected. Very happy they could get me in without a previous appointment!

Upon arriving at BE Ford we were greeted by the technician and decided on the course of action for our 2010 LKS Lincoln. The 100,000 mile service was needed and agreed upon. We were contacted early afternoon with a vehicle status, which indicated additional work on the brakes was necessary. The Service Department was not only helpful, but seemed to genuinely want to accommodate me and see to my comfort. Update: I have added 2 stars to this review, as the GM at Estes called me personally to express his regrets for what happened and offered to make it up to us in whatever way he could. I appreciate him taking our concerns seriously. Original review: I gave this service department 5/5 for excellent previous work, but they let us down here. I brought my car in for some work and when I picked it up, I noticed fresh paint chips. I pointed it out – apparently no one knew this had happened? – and was told they'd take care of it. I turned down a loaner because it was going to take months to get the repair done if I required one, and I was under the impression I would be without my car for only a few days. I brought it in on a Monday and was asked by the receiving tech when I needed it back; I told him the end of the week. He did not indicate that would be a problem. I called on Friday and was told the car wouldn't be ready until Monday. It's bad enough we were inconvenienced by this at all, but my wife and I run our own business, and we wasted 4 hours between us on workdays running the car over and back, and we needed the car that weekend. Given the issue occurred in their care, what they should have done was offer to pick up and drop off our car, replacing the gas used, and made sure it was back to us in a reasonable amount of time. The paint was restored to original condition.

Frankly, I'm surprised that I was prompted to provide this review, with Bill Estes Ford knowing they overcharged me in excess of $56 for an advertised $35 basic oil change. As icing on this sour cake, they also filled my windshield wash tank reservoir with fluid that was not cold weather compatible, which was very inconvenient at 6a.m. this morning as I was trying to leave for work, couldn't see to drive for the frozen washer fuild. I went in for a 2023 Maverick pre-order and the staff were on top of it and knew how to place the pre-order correctly with Ford. They were knowledgeable on the new product, packages and features and were able to answer all my questions about various package combinations and such. I am hoping for a XLT (Tremor) but that package seems to be very hard to obtain so I was able to provide Sean a back-up desired option (XLT with FX4/4K Tow./XLT Lux pckgs). I even got to test drive a 22 Maverick since I hadn't even had a chance to do that since they were introduced into Ford's line-up. My experience at Bill Estes Ford was miles better than another Ford dealer in the area. These guys understand how to work with Ford's future vision of custom vehicle ordering. If you're in the Hendricks County area and you want a Ford, you go to Estes.

I took my Ford for an oil change, I asked for full synthetic, and a the works of tire rotation, and checking all the fluids and getting anything that needs lubrication done. I guess that ment also getting a 30 point inspection?! I didn't mind, I rather make sure it is in good condition. But the service agent could have told me that the 30 point inspection was not included in the Works package and that it was an extra $30 something dollars more. Ones again I didn't mind, but it's best to provide more information to the customer than to be surprised, especially if you are tight on budget like a lot of people are these days. I have the ford pass app, and my oil life measurement hasn't been updated, it's been two days now, so I hope it gets updated soon.

Old Mike, regular mike, and nikki. Old mike asked me if I had a spare but I told him no because I had been using it already. He immediately offered to give me a spare used tire to switch out, but I told him I had no money because I was in between jobs. Update: Since purchasing my truck 4 years ago, I have brought it back to Bill Estes for all service, even though there are other Ford dealers much closer than my 30 minute drive to Bill Estes. However, I will no longer do this for the following reasons. I have always bought my tires at Costco due to lowest price and lifetime tire rotation AND balancing. When I needed new tires, Bill Estes matched the Costco price and said that they would also include lifetime rotation AND balancing. Because of the excellent service experience I have had with this dealer, and the price match, I decided to buy the tires, knowing that routine maintenance would bring me back and that the tires could be rotated and balanced at those times. However, the last two times, I had to push really hard to get the dealership to honor the commitment to rotate and balance. They noted that they never include rotation and balance. I have to force them to look at the service notes, remember name of the service advisor that made the commitment, and be adamant. It gets confrontational and makes what should be a normal service appointment become uncomfortable. Lesson learned and I will no longer buy tires from the dealer. Additionally, I will no longer make the extra effort and drive the extra miles to have service done at a dealership that used to be a cut above the other dealers. Original Review: I casually shopped at 5 Ford dealers for a new F150. Most dealers were reasonably helpful. However, Mitchel Dotson at Bill Estes Ford was a game changer. He provided the exact balance of letting me know he was happy I was there and that he wanted to ensure that I did not leave without having all my questions answered. He did this without ever being pushy or trying to pressure me into making a decision. After letting me look at several different trims and answering my questions, he suggested that we at least take a drive to get the feel of the new trucks drive on city streets and the interstate. After taking a drive, he asked if we could build the perfect truck and then see if they had it or if not, another dealer had it. He did this with no commitment from me that I was ready to buy. All in all, Mitchel spent about 2 hours with me personally. He wanted to ensure I had all the time I needed and all my questions were answered. I did not make a decision to buy that day, but left the dealership understanding exactly what I wanted and what the cost would be to purchase. After checking with other dealers, it was clear to me that Bill Estes Ford was the right place to buy. Landing with Bill Estes was because of Mitchel. He earned my trust by ensuring I got what I wanted in a truck, not what he could pressure me into buying the first time I met with him. So I have ordered the truck and look forward to it arriving. Mitchel noted that he will keep me informed of the build timing, the ship date, and take photos of its arrival, dealer prep, and when it is ready for me to pick it up. Great experience with a talented sales professional.

Scott Halfaker is quite the professional. I am in the market for a car, but have been having trouble finding one that is the right fit for me. I have worked with Scott on several occasions and unlike many "typical car salespeople" he treats me like a good friend every single time. I needed a rear windshield wiper and went to buy one at Autozone. They looked my car up and sold me one but when looking at my car couldn't get it to go on. The manager said that something was broken on the metal piece of the wiper. I went to Bill Estes Ford to see if they could get it fixed. Service tech Dalton looked at it and said it was fine, that Autozone had sold me the wrong wiper blade. Bill Estes Ford charged me for the blade and Dalton put it on for me. All I owed was the cost of the blade. I feel like another dealership would have checked me in, had me wait and charged me 1/2 hour of labor. I stopped by on Wednesday to to see an Expedition that I found online. I met Mitchel Dotson when I entered the dealership and told him what vehicle I was looking for. He was unable to find the vehicle, but eventually figured out that it was at the detail shop, so Mitch drove me there to see the vehicle. I made an appointment to come back on Friday, with my wife, to see if we could work a deal. Mitch made the entire process easy. We were able to work a deal without much work and we drove home with the vehicle. The only complaint I have is that it was raining when we at Bill Estes, and we did not notice the good of the vehicle had deep, excessive scratches on the hood until we got home and saw the vehicle dried off. I would have appreciated it if this would have been disclosed to us, as it is bad enough that the hood needs to be painted. 60k Ford certified used car shouldn’t need paint.

Our experience was interesting. Someone put money down on a truck we were scheduled to go see the next day. Old Mike found something else we might want so we keep our appointment. We did not want that truck and Mike called the next day when the first truck came available. Mike is very honest and worked with us as much as was allowed. The only issues with the experience is the cleanliness of the truck and the extra key. In total, we found 5 hats, two 8" round unused stickers, a Bluetooth receiver device and an Amazon Fire in the truck while going through it at home. The sale of the truck experience was great but the detail shop there has got to be the worst there ever was.

Bill Estes Ford may be excellent at pushing cars off its lot, but beware if you plan to take your vehicle there for service! Our first experience dropping our car off for inspection resulted in a delayed turn around, because they somehow managed to “lose” my Explorer. Yes, you read that correctly…they called us to ask whether we had picked up our vehicle prior to service completion, because they could not find it! A few hours later they called to inform us that the inspection was complete, and we could come pick the vehicle up. When questioned, they had zero explanation for what had happened. This past week, I damaged my side view mirror while backing out of our garage, so we took it in again for an oil change and mirror replacement. We dropped it off on Wednesday, and they texted us a few hours later saying it was ready for pickup with a total cost of $374. When we arrived at the dealership, my husband was told the text was a mistake, and it would instead be $760 and needed to be prepaid. The mirror had not been replaced, and instead needed to be special ordered. They called us to inform us the mirror was in on Friday. The service was completed today, but prior to pickup, my husband questioned whether the oil had been changed since we had also prepaid for that. The service tech said he didn’t see that on the order, but stated he would quickly complete that task. He called us back an hour later to say it would somehow be an additional $130. When I questioned that, he said that there was already an oil change completed 2 days prior, and this was done only because we requested it. Obviously my husband nearly lost it. Who in their right mind would randomly request 2 oil changes 2 days apart??!! He refused to pay for the second, and they did honor that, but we will no longer be taking our Explorer there. The service we had in Pennsylvania was far superior to this. **after reading my original post, the manager reached out to attempt to make things right. While we may not ever return there, I wanted the public to know that their management does care about the service they are providing. They offered us “the works” package and $100 off our next service. It was a kind and professional gesture that I felt needed to be noted. For that, I updated my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.

I called about a broken antenna mount, I expected to get it fixed under warranty. The Service Manager Jason told me warranty wouldn’t fix, even though I believe it’s a faulty mount. Search YouTube to see this can be easily repaired by pulling coax cable out of mount. Insert new antenna mount onto coax cable, it’s that simple. I ordered the mount on Amazon and disconnected the coax from the new mount. Took me 30 minutes. I changed my earlier review from 1 star to 4 due to sales manager took care of me with issue.

The experience of purchasing the car was pleasant and easy however the car was delivered and upon delivery I asked for the 5 digit factory code for the keyless entry and was told by the delivery person to contact the dealership and they’ll provide it. I did. Several times only to finally get no further responses after I was told to go to my local Ford dealership who is charging me $108.50 to retrieve a code that I should’ve been given. EDIT: Bill Estes Ford responded promptly to my review and provided excellent customer service to resolve the issue. I would rate the sales experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and the recent response ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but the communication in between was lacking. End result: I am a satisfied customer.

UPDATE: The sales manager reached out to make this right. I have updated my rating to reflect how I feel about the dealership. I knew the exact truck that I wanted. Bill estes did have the truck on the lot and I did like the truck. I came in with 2 paid off trade ins and good credit. I was offered an offensively low amount for my trade ins. I was able to negotiate up the price of my trade ins. The only thing I asked for was a trailer brake controller to be installed. I was told that this was not possible as these are on backorder and could take months to come in. The dealership cannot do any thing revolving around deals after 30days. I asked for the price of the controller to come off the truck. This was shot down as well. I was surprised that the sales team would not budge on $300 to make a customer happy. I went ahead to ordered the controller. It showed up 2 days later. So I was lied to by the sales team to save a couple bucks. I left with the truck I wanted but do not think I will be a return customer at this lot.

Moved here less than a year ago. I’ve gone in twice for an oil change and both times went well. They told me that my windshield washer mechanism was broken and wanted to charge me $125 to run a diagnostic on it. I said I’d wait until the following day to bring it in so they could run it; but 5 minutes down the road, they worked just fine. They were frozen. Once they warmed up, the problem solved itself. Customer service was great. Just kind of surprised we didn’t troubleshoot that issue, 3 days after sun-zero temperatures, before they gave me a bill for an extra $125.

However, Trent Edwards at Bill Estes Ford was diligent in helping us find our truck. We found the car online, woke up early and drove 3 hours to check it out. When we arrived, Mitchel D already the car cleaned up and pulled up front for us. After a test drive, we knew it was the car for us. The numbers weren't quite right, so the manager stepped in and worked magic to help us reach a mutually beneficial agreement. Not long thereafter, a lovely lady named Emma filled up the tank for us and we were on our way. The best part of the experience was the arcade basketball setup they had in the lobby. It kept our energetic son busy (and in sight) while we talked through the details of the purchase. They even gave him a little basketball as a gift. We all won today! Overall, a wonderful experience.
