I really appreciate his honesty and patience with me and he expertly guided my through my first car buying experience and got me the exact car that I wanted!
Also a big huge shout out to Nick over in finance, he really made things easy on me, and helped me figure out what I needed and what I didn’t. And made the whole financing process easy to navigate and understand.
I will most certainly be referring my friends and family to these two exclusively for the foreseeable future.

He really listened to what were looking for and made it happen. He was honest and gave us a lot of valuable information about the different models available. We were able to negotiate a fair price as well.
Jay on the finance side was great as well. He really took the time to explain things in regards to the warranties available and the financing information.
They treated us like family at Toyota. I don't think you could say something like that about most dealerships.

Jim in sales did a fantastic job! He met me in the parking lot moments after I pulled in. He asked me how he could help me. Three minutes later a truck pulled in carrying the “exact car” I was looking for, the one I built on line…exactly the one. He called me a couple days later to tell me that car was available! His eagerness to contact me, and his professionalism throughout the process was awesome. They arranged the financing for me which saved me a lot of time. I scheduled an appointment for a service I was told by a previous mechanic (not at Toyota) that I needed. I don’t know much about cars, so I went ahead and scheduled the service with my oil change. The gentleman that was signing me in told me I didn’t actually need the specific service that I was previously told I did. I appreciated the honesty! This made me trust them more when they suggested other services. Everyone I spoke to was very kind. They were thorough and fast. Thankful to have a good experience this time around!

Darren, Jay, and Scott did an AMAZING job. Kept in contract on my SUV purchase. Did and extra walk around video of the car as we were out of town buyers. Also made me aware of an extended warranty that I was not aware of because this was a 10 year old vehicle. But was low enough miles and great shape, that it qualified for what other wise would have not qualified. Never would have even known about it. Also had it delivered 120 miles away the next day after confirmed purchase. Overall, highly recommend!

My service experience was nearly flawless. I contacted the dealership to get a recall taken care of as well as an oil change. I didn’t actually know what the recall was and when I asked, the service agent on the phone told me that it was just a software update. However, when I arrived, it turned out to be a fuel pump! It didn’t really matter to me because I was planning on leaving my vehicle and getting a ride from Toyota back home with my toddler. The ride was available right away. I received a call the next day that the work was done. I was able to get a ride back right before they closed for the night and I was met by the same agent as yesterday with good-natured joking which brought a smile to my face. Paperwork was taken care of quickly and I was out the door in no time. Overall, I would definitely come back here for all of my recall work.

Brandon is an excellent employee who was very attentive throughout the process of my purchasing my new RAV4. Edit to my last post: I had an issue with my truck upon picking it up. The General Manager Joe Adams called me right away and gave me his sincerest apology for what had happened and offered to make it right. He introduced me to Bruce, and Rene Morris (Service Director) and to say they went above and beyond for me and my truck would be an understatement. It is just fantastic. I have loved having them work on my truck in the past and will continue to have only them work on my truck in the future. They have shown that the customer is not just a number. I was visiting Grand Rapids from out of town on a work assignment and had a tire emergency. Ron at the Toyota of Grand Rapids service department went above and beyond to help -- he walked me through the problem, helped me understand the options and got me fixed up with a new tire in time to make my afternoon appointment. When I returned later that day (because the low tire pressure light was still on, he stepped in again to assess the problem and make sure everything was safe for a long drive). I was all set and back on the road much more quickly than I'd expected. I am so grateful for all the help and the wonderful assistance everyone at Toyota of Grand Rapids provided. The great service, clean facility, the friendly demeanor, the comfortable waiting room -- it was all above and beyond what I expected.

When I first arrived in the service garage I wasn't sure what to do or who to talk to. Two gentle men were sitting at the first two desk didn't speak or acknowledge me. When I asked I was given attitude and told to drive my car in. When I did that I went to another counter where another gentleman sat and he told me that he would check me in and was very friendly and warm. He explained that Cooper would check me out when my car was ready. My wait was less than the estimated hour I was told. They didn't try to up sell me on anything and I was out. Even with a few grumpy men my over all experience was a good one and I will continue to go to this location.

A little slow on getting checked in but work was completed thoroughly and on time. They do seem to come up with more new little changes that I didn't see a couple years ago, such as a separate fee to dispose of the oil filter. Their waiting area is great. Restrooms were very clean.

An oil change and tire rotation took 2 hours and new brake installation they recommended took 3 hours. I was there from 7:30am til 12:30pm. A lot longer then I was told and expecting. The service person was very nice though.

I have been going to TOYOTA OF GRAND RAPIDS with my Previa and now my Sienna since 1993. I believe this dealership, by and large, does reasonably good service. These days it is hectic & crazy busy in the service department and the wait time for something like a simple oil change has been ridiculously long.
On the plus side, they stand behind their warranties and when I had problems with the struts they replaced them at no charge and they seem fine now.
I highly recommend Ron Jones, the service manager I have worked with several times. He is thorough & knowledgable and communicated with me very well.

Took my Corolla in for its first tire rotation. Everything was fine timewise until the tech brought the car around and dropped the keys and paperwork on the unattended service writers desk. I put my coat on and was ready to go but nobody came to get me. Apparently my guy had gone to lunch and I was left hanging for 15 minutes. I finally went over to the desk and stood there hoping for some attention but was ignored A couple minutes later, I grabbed my keys and went over to a guy and told him my car was done and I was leaving. He apologized, gave me a receipt.
I left upset and disappointed.

Bought corolla sport at Toyota and have made minimal and I do mean minimal repair the honor the 995 oil change. Excellent service has never once tried to sell us a bill of goods not needed. And now a vehicle nine years old. Recently went here for an oil change and must have picked the busiest day. When I got there for my scheduled appt it felt like mass confusion. I didn't know once I pulled my car into the building weather I should get out or stay in it. Had to find someone to help me which was frustrating. Once I got in touch with someone. I was told due to them being backed up, they wouldn't be able to get my oil change done for at least 2 hours which was shocking. Especially when I had an appt for 4pm I didn't get my car back til 6pm. No free food in the waiting room or drinks which sucked as well. Overall a frustrating experience. People there where nice when I got my car back but not sure if I'll continue going there or find another toyota dealership. Plus they couldnt help me fix something on my dash board so that sucked i thought they could since it was toyota dealership but they couldnt. If u choose to go there I guess go on Wed or Thursday those are the slow days.

I drove away thinking that it was a great experience and even told the advisor that. I brought it in for an oil change but also asked that they give it an overall look to let me know if anything else needed attention. He said it looked like it was close to the time I should get tires rotated and I said to go ahead with that and told him that I assumed they would check tire pressure if the were doing that and if that wasn’t part of a tire rotation, to please ask them to check the tires’pressure because the tire indicator light had been on a long time. He said he would make sure they did that. I didn’t think to check that light when I left but noticed later that it was still on. And that’s ok … mistakes happen. But what’s not ok is that I called Cooper when I got home and asked him to give me a call and briefly explained the reason and I never heard back from him. Failing to return a call like that is not ok.
I’m hoping I am able to edit this post. I’m very low-tech and came back to the text that asked me for a review and hit the exit option but didn’t see any obvious way to do that so am just trying to add to the original review. As I said at the start of the review, I drove away feeling like it was a good experience and told the advisor so. After posting the above, I heard from someone at the dealership pretty quickly who wanted to get a little more feedback about the experience. As I told him, the only issue at all was not hearing back. I told him that I’d actually had an inclination to try to get ahold of the advisor one more time before even considering whether to do anything to follow up on that failure to hear back. And when I got a text asking for a review, I just went ahead then and submitted one. I felt really bad about the review I gave when I learned that the advisor had not received my message. Apparently there has been a problem with his voicemail. This sounded consistent with my experience with the young man, as I hope I’d indicated in my original review. In every way, he seemed like a great employee. He came up to me when he saw me standing around trying to figure out if I was supposed to be in another part of the building. He took a lot of time going over what I wanted to have done. And afterwards, he went point-by-point over what had been done. He even took time to answer some questions I had about PHEV vehicles such as mine and whether to be concerned about just using it electrically for a long period of time and whether I should use the gas engine occasionally. So when I learned he hadn’t even received my message, it was completely consistent with my personal experience with the advisor. I just wanted to make this addendum to the original review because far from deserving criticism, he did a job that I would ordinarily have given a great review to.

I can't say enough about how well I was treated and how even the little things, like a rusty bolt that took a lot more time to address was handled by the technician and Brian, the service manager. They removed the bolt and replaced it at no extra charge, even for a simple oil change. Great service and great people.

My key fab has a good battery, doors are locked, I make sure I see the lights blink both times and I've only got it to work twice. I was buying a used car with a "tailgate guarantee" - i.e., "as-is-no-warranty" from a used car dealer elsewhere.
The Service Writer was very professional, respectful, and polite, and he took the time to answer questions.
The Mechanic did a pretty thorough job with this "Buyer's Inspection". He was very honest with his written impression of the car's condition. And he looked in a whole lot of places for potential issues.
This car was made in Canada, and inexplicably to me, some parts of the inspection seem to have been passed over - as best as I can tell from the Report. The Canadian VIN was "foreign" to the Dealership's computer system and was apparently the cause of some pre-inspection information not being listed on the inspection punchlist - or at least with items mentioned in the final write-up. The Vehicle Service History for example did not seem to be listed, which I feel may have otherwise tipped-off the Mechanic to areas that could have been of particular interest for a closer evaluation.
The car inspection took about 2 hours. A couple of important Safety items - demanding repairs - were identified.
Overall I am fairly pleased with Toyota of GR's service today. I'm pretty sure I'd have given a 5-Star Review if the Foreign VIN issue wasn't such a problem.

I went there today to get my oil changed. So far I have beem impressed each time I have got my vehicle serviced. I don't feel like they are trying to sell me on things that I don't need. They have been fair with prices and are very willing to accommodate. Their waiting room is very comfortable. And their coffee machine is probably the best! Took my 02 4runner in to resolve a check engine light that has been popping up for over a year. Many things were tried by different shops. It took 5 days but Toyota of GR was able to figure it out. They charged me 180 for the EVAP solenoid that I needed and over 400 for labor. Hard to say how much of this was investigative labor or install but I can easily see the new part when I look under the car. Further more, several certified Toyota parts sellers online sell this part for less than $100. All of this is upsetting and why I didn't go to a dealership for over a year to try and fix this. And to cap it all off I asked them for a used vehicle inspection that came back saying my car is in perfect health. This is insane for a 20 plus year old vehicle that I know has several other issues. Cheifly being the slow valve cover gasket leak that is obvious when you pop the hood. The service techs were kind and curious and easy to talk to but clearly lacking in experience and knowledge. I am dissapoinded and painfully reminded of the phrase; stealership.

I started having some issues my sliding doors and my rear hatch about 1.5 months ago, I decided to take it to the toyota dealership because its a toyota. They were awesome!! Took a look at everything, fixed my sliding doors for free already due to common issues with the doors. And my back hatch they were able to fit me in to get fixed and for half the price of the body shop!!! When I totaled my last ToyI needed a replacement quickly but couldn't find the one I wanted so I settled for a Nissan Rogue. But I found I didn't feel as safe in it as I felt in the Toy. When I finally found a Rav4 again I traded my Nissan and my late husband's truck for the Rav4.
I really love my new Rav4, but when I got home with it I noticed there was some damage to the right front bumper that I hadn't noticed before.I I'm. I spoke with my sales man and he said he hadn't noticed it either. I asked if the dealership would cover the repair I was told no because it was that way before I chose it.
It amazes me that they would put such a nice car on the lot with this damage..

I really like the texting option, where the service tech sends a video of your car. The video shows you the walk around if there are any additional things needed for repair. You can then approve each repair separately or deny repairs. Probably something not really new out there, but I really never have problems with my vehicle so this is new to me. Love the 4Runner we got and our sales associate Kevin was good and took care of us. We ordered a new 4Runner from Toyota and customized the options we wanted. When it was delivered it was missing the PPF we ordered and the exhaust tip but Kevin took care of it and had it put on down the street at extreme. They did a great job. When we closed on it, I felt they pushed too hard on the extra warranty stuff. They tried to sell us gap coverage on a 4Runner which has the highest resale value of any car and we put a substantial amount down so there was no way we’d ever need gap coverage as we’d never be behind in the loan. We just serviced it at 5k miles and they only did a tire rotation though the appointment was for both an oil change and rotation. They didn’t mention it until it was done. I could have rotated the tires and do the oil myself but figured it was free and would be nice to have done. I would have liked a heads up that they would just be rotating when I made the appointment or before they took it back. Overall good service but not perfect.

On my first visit to Toyota of Grand Rapids for service, the biggest problem was figuring out where to park in the service bay. I did not notice the lines painted on the floor, really more happy I had arrived safely on yet another day with snow. Devon Stone was very helpful and explained all the options for service concisely and understandably. The routine oil change and tire rotation took about 45 minutes for my 8 am appointment.

The actual work done on my van was done well and at the expected cost. The staff also was clearly aware of my previous feedback to not change the seat position. That was good. However, the department needs to do a far better job of scheduling so that a customer’s vehicle doesn’t sit around idle when a customer arrives on time for an appointment. My appointment was at 8:15. I arrived at 8:08. Yet it still took till about 10:05 before they were finished. And all I had done was an oil change and a tire rotation. Even with a courtesy inspection, that amount of service should be completed in about one hour rather than two hours.

Overall good, but I felt like the beginning was confusing. I pulled up the door and the door didn't open. I waited and finally got out of my vehicle and was screamed at for not pulling in. I purchased a “Certified” Sienna Limited Premium from Toyota of Grand Rapids, Mr. Lee Ly was great, ask for him if your looking for a new ride. He treated me and my family very well when we were going through the buying process. It was an impromptu purchase so we were doing the process late after hours, he even bought the kids some McDonalds. The wife loves her new ride, the kids might love it even more. They like the flip down screen, and lounging chairs. The kids want me to trade in the F-150 for another like it lol. I have three boys and they want to ditch the truck and get another van, well it is nice. We did have a few issues with it. The fuel door was starting to fall off, but this was covered under a recall. There was also a scare with peeling paint, I didn’t realize it when I bought it that Toyota had issues with Blizzard Pearl white paint. Of course this one happened to be that color. Toyota seems to be taking care of every model with this paint except Sienna which left me very disappointed to say the least. However I have since spoken with the dealership again and it looks like we will be able to reach a resolution. This is relieving, as I was sure I found a place I could trust. The incident made me second guess that but Toyota of Grand Rapids came through. Toyota has a strong reputation for reliability. When that isn’t enough and when problems do arise it seems Toyota of Grand Rapids can pick up the pieces and make things right. If you read my previous review it sang a different tune. Why the change? Toyota of Grand Rapids made it right where Toyota themselves wouldn’t. I’ve had issues with other dealers before, one up in Kalkaska, and one in Plainwell. They let me down and didn’t care they did, they already had my money. I felt this was a familiar road, but not this time. This dealership owned it, and made it right…well soon any way, I guess we will find out for sure.

I’m glad they were able to get my car fixed and finished in one day, however I was very upset at how long it took for my car to get fixed. The communication here is very poor. If there were issues with scheduling or waiting on parts, I would prefer to be told that versus being told we could get my car fixed a certain week then never hear back to confirm anything or get any kind of update. I felt that I had to become a not-nice customer in order to get anywhere. Calling the service department office didn’t get me anywhere either, just told to wait for the person who was helping me to reach out or that someone else would (which nobody else did). There needs to be better communication skills and actions in place here.

I’ve been getting my Prius serviced there for years. Recently had an oil change and was surprised that an oil change no longer includes checking a car’s light bulbs, tire pressure, or washer fluid. Seems like that should take 5-7 minutes tops…..why eliminate safety checks to our vehicles? I’m going to start checking around for alternative places that still offer these important services.

Last service experience was great! Bruce was fantastic on assisting me with going over my requested tasks and recommended a couple of other services without being a gross pushy salesman. He was honest, and he called me the moment the work was done. (Much appreciated since it was a Friday and I needed my vehicle to get moving on.) I did not have to chase him down, or call the dealership wondering what the status on the vehicle is. You would think that is a basic concept of customer service but how many times have I sworn off this place because the lack of communication or honesty.
The techs that did the work in the back were fast, yet done the work with quality. No random oil smudges, old drops from old fluid changes, etc.
Since my truck is getting a little older now, I always entertain the idea of going to an independent garage since labor costs are typically cheaper. But, if I can continue to get Bruce, and feel it's an honest transaction, I'll keep coming back.

Although I didn’t end up buying my truck from this dealership I have to say a few things.
1. Sales manager drew is a saint amongst car dealership management. The guy went above and beyond to make the deal work.
2. Salesman Kevin, responded instantly all day long over text. Even over communicated and made me feel at ease of doing a long distance transaction.
When I ultimately decided not to buy the vehicle, they never pressured me to do so with scummy tactics other dealerships try. My deposit was returned promptly without having to check back in with them, and they remained communicative and polite even after. If you are looking for a new or used car, go see drew and Kevin. Great guys, honest sales professionals, and worth your time if you want a fair value for your trade in and new purchase.

This company has been excellent in the way they have treated me. Purchasing the car was a delight and I even bought pecan rolls for the team when I picked up the car. It wasn’t the usual high pressure or a complete ignorance about the features I wanted. They located the exact car I wanted, worked with me on my trade in and I’m very happy.

Brought 2012 Sequoia in for wheel alignment. After service was complete, the technician wrote "most adjustments seized, but managed to get front tie rods free and align to best of my ability." Im not sure if that means the alignment was successful as I didn't receive a final alignment report, which surprised me. However, service price was good, and truck is running straight down the road.

I’ve had great experiences shopping with Toyota on 28th street. I took my car in because the engine light was on and the low tire pressure light was on. I was terrified hoping they didn’t sell me a 2009 Camry with a bad engine 7 months ago. Come to find out it was just a cracked gas cap that made the engine light come on. They have a shuttle service that will drop you off and pick you up while your car is being worked on as long as it’s in a 25 mile radius. That was the deciding factor of going to their service station because my car is all I have. The car repairs list was texted to me while I was at home and it was easy and convenient to decide what I wanted done to the car. I highly recommend.

I moved to Grand Rapids a fewmonths ago. I had a great working relationship with the Toyota dealer in the town I moved from. I was a little nervous about bringing my truck to a new dealership. However, Toyota of Grand Rapids has been excellent. They did a very thorough inspection, figured out the problems and took care of them in a very timely fashion. They found a few potential issues (ie brakes) that were headed for bigger problems if not taken care of. Dennis called and asked if I wanted to have the brakes taken care of while the truck was in the shop to help save a little money. Of course I said yes. What Dutchman doesnt like to save a little money! Thanks for taking good care of my truck. Hopefully, I'll get another 200,000 out of it.

I was greeted immediately by staff outside the building. They were very courteous throughout my experience. All my questions were answered expertly. The process of trading in my old leased Camry and getting a lease for a new Camry was quick and easy. I was able to leave within about four hours, and that’s after having gone on three test drives to figure out what I wanted. Friendly and good at reviewing all service options. Good system for reserving service time and they're ready when you pull in. I'm on my 15th Toyota and over the past 34 years have purchased or leased the last 5 at Toyota of Grand Rapids. A couple service staff members have been there almost that long. My opinion COULD be a bit biased. LOL
