I found a car I loved, got approved, traded in my old car and left with my new car all in one day! Kim helped me throughout the process, checking on everything I asked, calling me back promptly and had my new car ready at the time he said! On top of that, I was buying a used car and he didn’t realize the windshield had a crack in it, he scheduled a full windshield replacement on my next day off and had me out enjoying my day off in less than two hours.
Kim made buying my first car an easy and fun experience! I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a new car!

Highly recommend working with Joe S. He kept in touch whenever a car landed at the dealership & was available to show me what was available & helpful explaining things on the vehichle during our test drive. As a first-time new car buyer, I was in the market for a new hybrid, which apparently is pretty hard to come by in 2022 with supply chain shortages. I was vacillating between a Toyota RAV4 and a Kia Niro. Toyota gave me a potential wait of anywhere between 3 and 12 months. At Kia of Des Moines, there was a Niro sitting on the lot, which I figured to be pretty rare in this age of shortages and skyrocketing fuel prices. My mind had been made up at that point.
Bill was kind to me and my wife throughout the entire process. He helped us secure the vehicle and get us through without any issues. He was great at setting an inviting and positive tone throughout the whole experience.
One minor hiccup was that the representative responsible for handing over the keys on delivery day had forgotten to post the temporary moving permit in the rear window. She did, however, thoroughly explain all of the technology inside the car. It was just a minor inconvenience to circle back to Des Moines as I was on my way home to get that permit taped to the window.
Overall, I had a positive experience at this dealership, and I'm sure I can expect more good things when I schedule maintenance with them.

We just purchased our 3rd vehicle from Kia of Des Moines! All my experiences, from the 1st sale to servicing to trading in vehicles has always been easy and very pleasant. I would highly recommend Trey Stewart or Matt Ayala. Both of these guys have gone above and beyond for us to be sure we got just what we wanted in our new Tellurides. There is always a helpful smile in the service bay. Even when we had to return with our first Telluride ( 1st year of the model, working out kinks) because the button on the drivers door handle wouldn't unlock the car. It was fixed in less than an hour, they ran it through the wash bay and my two girls and I were back on our way! This most recent purchase I completed with Trey completely over e-mail. He was able to order our new Telluride with all the features we loved in our first Telluride and a new color and keep our lease payment right where we wanted it! We met Trey just inside the dealership doors for the first time and he led us to the new car. Jim Voss helped us with paperwork and Russ Slack showed us the new features of our vehicle. We were in and out in about 40 minutes!! Signed, sealed and delivered! I am a Kia of Des Moines customer for life!

Bob was quick to respond to our initial inquiry about a vehicle, sadly what we were interested in was already sold. So we stopped in on the weekend and met with him and found that one of the vehicles we were interested in had came available. We test drove it and another. After going over options and warranties offered we went with our original option and are super pleased thus far. Financing took 30 minutes, which is amazing! We have dealt with previous dealerships where it takes hours to get this part done. After the signing was done Emily went over all the features inside and outside and answered any questions we had. This was a great purchasing/financing experience!

He promptly answered our questions, via text message, over the weekend.
We then worked with a salesman by the name of Kim who assisted us as Antonio was out of the office for the birth of his son.
We found both of these gentlemen to be very professional and helpful.
We also appreciated the efficiency when signing paperwork and getting us through the process in a quick manner.

We were VERY pleased with the employees at this Kia location. We needed a recall done on our Optima and needed it done in a week. The young lady we talked to said if we could drop it off before the parts came in they would be sure to do it quickly. Our car was done two days earlier than we thought! This is BY FAR the most professional dealerships I have ever bought a car from. Andy Mattes is THE salesman you want to have help you with the purchase of your next vehicle. These guys are all honest and up front with every stage of buying a car!!! And that is RARE in the car business. They actually listen to your needs and care about your time and overall experience. Called my sales person and he got me into the shop as soon as possible, the issue (which was not a cheap one) was corrected at no cost to me. Review for a fob reprogram for a 2015 Soul. The parts and customer service reps were helpful and courteous. Time in the shop was less than estimated. The customer service touches of vehicle inspection and car wash were appreciated. Cost was reasonable. The only negative was the length of time for scheduling the appointment.

Recently took car in for oil change, prices nearly doubled. Also in for a non working rear window spray. $150 diagnostics. Mouse eaten? Not covered by warrenty. $1000 to fix! TOO HIGH! Value gone. We went to the dealership to look at a vehicle I saw on their website. After not having a car payment for quite some time it was hard to think about having one again. So, we decided on an payment amount we are comfortable with and said we were going to stick to it. When we got to the dealership we could see they did not have much by way of new cars on their lot. Kim (our rep) had us drive a 2023 that was ordered but not picked up. We fell in love with it right away - it has so many features we could not play with them during the time we had to test drive it. The car payment was quite a bit higher than we decided on. We said no. Kim showed us what they had on the lot...again not much for new cars. They were nice and had features we wanted. But they were not as nice as the 2023 Sportage we test drove. The Sales manager did not budge on anything. We feel it was because he knew he would sell this beautiful vehicle easy. He did not do anything to help us get into the vehicle we wanted and be close to the payment we settled on. We finally decided after working all our lives, taking care of everyone else that we were going to treat ourselves and buy the Sportage. We are so HAPPY we did. We do have a few things that we felt did not go as good as they could have. We saw a sign that said in and out in 1 hour....we were there about 3 hours. Not how we planned to spend our Saturday. Also the person who walked through the features with us talked so fast that we could not follow her most of the time. She kept looking at her watch like she was late for something. Felt like we were being pushed out. The follow up's have been great. I have received emails and texts from people checking in to see how we like the vehicle. A bit too many emails asking for their survey to be completed. I always fill out survey's but I need to have time to do them and it might not be right away. All in all - we love our new 2023 Sportage. Kim was great - he was personable, friendly, easy to talk to, understand. I would work with Kim again.

I made my appointment 2 months in advance as I live 2.5 hours away. When I got there they wasn’t sure if they had a part I needed for the recall that I was there for. This made me upset as they knew 2 months in advance I was coming and what for so I would think they’d have the parts in to fix my recall. Thankfully they had the part. It took longer than expected to fix. They didn’t go over anything when I left which is upsetting as I like to stay up today on my vehicle.

I asked them again to get my car done that day, and they assured me that it would be done as I was from out of town. I have had my car for 10 years and I absolutely love it still. I have a 2012 Kia Optima. They called me at one point to let me know about my brakes needing replaced and that my cabin filter needed replaced. I thanked them and called my mechanic to get these things done.
When I got my car back, they had washed it and it was very well taken care of. I would definitely go back there.

We bought a Seltos from Mike - one of the best experiences I've ever had buying a car! We knew what we wanted so most of the monotonous (financing and paperwork) tasks were done over email which meant we only had to sign paperwork when we got there and we were out the door in 20 minutes (including the feature demonstration). They even went out of their way to make sure the special requests I had were completed. A couple weeks prior to our first scheduled maintenance one of the original tires had the sidewall separate and needed to be replaced. David in the service department got us squeezed in w/ 2 days notice; got some light recall work and even got the preventative maintenance done so we didn't have to come back a couple weeks later. We will continue exclusively buying and servicing our vehicles here. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Keep up the good work!

I had a scheduled appointment for a recall. Unfortunately no Suzuki shop in my area, so had to drive two hours to Des Moines. When arrived, noticed I messed up and showed up TWO WEEKS early do to my error saving the date to calendar.
The Suzuki technician was very understanding and made all the effort to help. David did fit us in the schedule and I was able to be on the road in a short time.
Additional, a shuttle service was provided during the waiting period to the mail. All in all a fantastic experience.

It took me 6 weeks to find a K5 that was not yet reserved by someone else. I happened to call late one night, almost closing time and Justin answered. He had one coming in, in the color I wanted and he let me reserve it quickly. It took a while to come in (which was no one’s fault) but when it finally did, I arrived to pick up my new car and was out the door in an hour and a half. Rolled in unannounced with a dead Soul on a flatbed, essentially stranded as we were in a foreign to us city. Winsome, the service tech, got us checked in and said they were all booked up and it would probably be tomorrow before they could get us taken care of. When she found out we were traveling, she got with the service manager and they bumped to the head of the line. While we waited they drove us to a local car rental, because we had a not so good feeling. When we returned the news was not so spectacular but the dealership took excellent care of us so they get an awesome review. Pros: 1. Sold at MSRP in this market, I drove 2.5hrs cause dealers in Omaha and 10 neighboring places were selling at a flat 3k extra(WTH!). 2. Gave an estimate over the phone 3. Stuck to their offer made over the call vs at the dealership so the process was super smooth. 4. Were patient with my questions (both sales and finance staff) which were a lot given I was a first time buyer 5. Was honest when asked about a negative feature of the car...such a fresh perspective in the sales world! Justin was my guy! In the end, the manager personally thanked us. I decided to get a Kia K5 on Monday and had the car by Saturday.

I've been in the market for a nice sports sedan for several months, and after test driving an Alfa Romeo Giulia a few weeks back I decided to give the Stinger and Stinger GT a shot. I called ahead and scheduled a 2pm appointment but due to a slight miscommunication the rep I spoke with over the phone was preoccupied, a different rep, Mitch, stepped up to help me and within minutes of arrival I was test driving the Stinger base model. It was an overall great experience, I tend to do a lot of research before any purchase and don't like a heavy handed sales experience and Mitch was fantastic. I've heard some horror stories about folks getting the run around when wanting to test drive Stingers at other dealerships and this was not my experience at all. I wasn't pushed into purchasing that day, and got to test drive both the AWD Premium base model, and the AWD GT1 higher end model.
(Go for the GT1 or GT2 if you are considering these cars, they are amazing and the extra sticker price is well worth the extra features and horsepower)
Overall if the Stinger GT1 is the car I decide to pick up in the near future, it will definitely be here, the vehicle impressed me and the overall customer experience impressed me even more.

Took in my Kia Optima LX for a bunch of things and the staff was super attentive with me and Kaitlyn was very helpful and informative of the whole process. Very happy with service provided, I had mainly brought my car to get my wheel fixed which was told to not have problems with the wheel bearings or anything by the company I got my new tires from but when driving after could still hear something was wrong. By taking my car for a test drive the technician was able to identify the source of the sound which was in fact my bearing making noise so we had that replaced and no more noise! I had a transaxle acting up. Took it in to get looked at(torque converter not staying locked in) and also set a code light..they read it and Diagnosed the problem, And contacted their Tech line the the recommendation was to replace the transaxle. Which they did and I am very happy with the way it runs again. Back up to almost 30 mpg on my 2019 Sorento. My only problem is that it took 8 weeks to get it in...not Kia of Des Moines problem...it is the supply chain ,covid-19 transportation problem lingering...very great experience considering.

My husband and I had a good experience when ordering and buying our new Telluride from Kia of Des Moines. We would return to Kia of Des Moines for purchasing another vehicle in the future.
We know there is a shortage of new car inventory everywhere, so back in January when we ordered our 2022 Telluride, it was unfortunate that we didn’t get to test drive or even see a Telluride in person; luckily this didn’t end up being an issue because when we received ours, we loved everything about it. We were told we would be updated on the progress of our order, but instead only received an email 2 days before the arrival of our Telluride, which made us scramble to sell our other vehicle. We ended up trading it into Kia because of not having the time to sell it on our own… We were quoted one price over email and they tried telling us a lot less than that quote once we arrived to trade it in, ended up still being less than what we were quoted after the deal was done.
Other than those negative things, we love our new Telluride and the ease of ordering it exactly how we wanted. We left the dealership feeling good about understanding all the features on it.

I sat in the waiting area for less than 30 minutes and my vehicle was ready and washed. Whether I could remember everything, is another story! LOL!! The ONLY reason, I didn't give a 5 Star rating, was because, we took the car to Our Detail Guy, to put an Undercoat of Protection, interior Protection, and A Ceramic coat on the Outside! He brought it to Our attention, that Whoever Delivered the Vehicle, did a Very Poor Job!! There were numerous scratches from basically the window on up! Also, there was adhesive that was still attached on top! He had to buff and buff to try and get those scratches out! He pointed out a couple that was still in there. He got out what he could! For it being a new car, the Delivery of it was TERRIBLE! Also, Our mats are on backorder, which We almost spent the money to get some, not knowing they were on backorder! That should of been conveyed to Us at the time of Purchase!

Kaitlyn was excellent checking us in and explaining everything that they would run a diagnostic but if they didn't find anything that I wouldn't be charged for it, plus do an oil change and change the windshield wipers like i had asked. But when I went to pick up and pay the bill I was charged the $125 fee for the diagnostic and then come to find out they didn't reset the Oil percentage back to 100% and the tire pressure light came on as we were coming home. Not very Happy!!

Great experience with my advisor. My car went in because of a weird rattling sound when I accelerated and the first tech drive it and couldn’t hear the sound. Considering it took 1.5 months for this appointment I told my advisor that I would drive her or the tech so they can hear it. I was able to drive her around and immediately I was able to duplicate the issue. If it wasn’t for her I would of left a bad review and been dissatisfied. Remember I’m not bringing my car in because I love to drive 45 min to the dealership and waste my time only to be told everything is ok?

I just had my 2015 KIA Cadenza serviced at KIA of Des Moines. The service staff and service manager, Mitchell, were professional, personable and prompt in their attention to me and my KIA. I have been to many car dealerships over the years and KIA of Des Moines is far and away the best. They have managed to create a small town, cordial atmosphere in the city.
While waiting for my car, I visited with one of the salesmen, Joe, and found him to be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his job and about cars in general, with no real pressure on me to buy a new car. Recently purchased a 2022 Kia Telluride. I went into the dealership and spoke with Joseph Sprunger, and was on the fence for what car would fit our families needs and he went over the differences between the 2 SUVs we were debating. We placed an order for the Telluride after weighing our options. Joe kept us updated on the status and checked in on us during the waiting period, even offered personal rides since we had traded one of our cars in and were down to one car. When our car arrived (earlier than anticipated), we had all the financing ready before we even went to the dealership and the finance manager was friendly and didn’t push unnecessary add ons. The whole process was very quick and they walked us through all the features and setting up the car electronics. As a first time Kia owner I’m impressed with how smooth everything went and the initial quality of the vehicle. I was blown away when I first got into one, and if you haven’t been in a new Kia in the last few years, as I hadn’t, you really should add it to your list of cars to check out. Overall very impressed with Joe, financing, the management, the detailing work put in before picking up and the thorough walk through of the vehicle so we weren’t leaving uneducated. Had Joe not shown me the interior of an already sold vehicle just so I could see it in person I would not have purchased the vehicle we did so if you’re in the market, I recommend taking a peak at least and you may be as surprised as we were, coming from a 2015 4 Runner. This is my personal experience, however, it’s been great, we love the car and the service has been amazing before the purchase as it has after.

Kia of Des Moines was a great experience for me. I went from looking at the car online to driving away with it the same night.I've never had an auto loan or monthly payments before as I bought my first car cash so I was wary. My salesman, Jeff Davis, was friendly, helpful and upfront. He took all of my finance information over the phone and through email to save me a trip/long wait. He stayed in contact with me every step of the way; the whole process only took a few hours. Most of which I spent safe and warm at home.
Everyone at the dealership was welcoming and helpful. They had someone to show us the features of the car and set up the Bluetooth (which I honestly could have done myself but I really appreciated the extra care). The car was washed before I left and the manager came out to congratulate me. Apparently the majority of the sales team normally sees you off but it was late on a Thursday so not many were still there.
I've had no issues so far and the very first day driving it iced and snowed; the car handled it like a champ. The only misunderstandings were that I was told my lights aren't automatic (turns out they are) and that I wouldn't have a spare tire (turns out I do). So things only got better.

I was looking to buy a 2022 Hybrid Sorento EX. I saw on the Kia website that Des Moines was getting a black one in. I had been to various dealerships closer to me that marked up their Sorentos over MSRP. I decided to email Des Moines just to see what they could offer since I was almost 3 hours away. Gus emailed me back and told me they sell them at MSRP plus the doc fee. I asked him questions about the vehicle and he answered them all. I was able to reserve the one coming in, and he even brought down the reservation fee for me. Plus it was refundable. He let me know when it was on its way, plus when it arrived. When we got there for our appt Gus was there and the vehicle was prepped and ready. Test drove it and loved it. He honored the price he told me, plus the trade in they quoted! I was expecting some kind of Mark up or low ball on the trade but it never came. It was so quick getting through everything, plus everyone else was great too- the financing guy, plus Russ, who went over features. No one pressured us, no one raised any prices. Everyone was so pleasant. Best experience buying a car ever! The almost 3 hour drive was worth it for sure.

I had a great experience yesterday at Kia of Des Moines! Bill Stone contacted me ahead of time to set up an appointment. When I arrived, I felt very comfortable as everyone wore masks and there was a man waiting to open the door for me (I didn’t have to touch a door handle the entire time, which is nice considering the zeitgeist) and show me where Mr. Stone’s office was located. Bill had the two cars I was interested in ready for me, and by the time I’d been at the dealership for 20 minutes, I was test driving a Kia! I test drove a Hyundai next, and absolutely fell in love with this car. I was financed & driving away in my beautiful 2019 Hyundai Tucson by 6:15! I was very impressed with their caution in terms of the virus as well as how quick and simple the whole process was. I also traded in my vehicle and while I would have liked to get more for it, it wasn’t a great trade in and it’s understandable that I got what I did for it. Overall Kia of Des Moines is a great place to buy a car & I highly recommend them (and Bill Stone) for anyone looking for a used car in great condition!

I was out of town when I discovered I had a brake light go out. I went to different auto stores trying to find a replacement, but was unable to do so and was told I would only be able to find it at the dealership. They even said I probably wouldn't be able to get in. I called Kia of Des Moines and they were able to get me in right away. I showed up and only had to wait 15-20 minutes for my light to be fixed. They went ahead and checked all the other lighting for me as well. I felt very fortunate because in my city, I've always been told I had to go to the dealership I bought the car at to get anything done. They saved me from having to drive around an unfamiliar city for a few days with no light.

It’s a great place to get a new engine for my car that was locked up while they were working on it. I specifically said, when I had it towed there, it had a bad fuel pump. If I could give zero stars I would! My panoramic sunroof decided it no longer wanted to close. The soonest Kia could get me in was 2 weeks later. I NEED my car. It's just my Mom and I and we are taking care of my 12 year old sister and my 26 year old mentally challenged brother fighting Leukemia. We explained the severity of the situation and how we need two cars to get to and from the hospital. Our main goal was to get it closed. Working or not, I didn't care. We specifically asked if they could get it closed to please do so. I was called and told that they could not get it shut and that they recommended replacing all of it. Starting at 4300 dollars just for parts. Guys, just so you know, cancer is expensive. We don't have that kind of money. That's not even including labor! So I say, give me my car back, pay the $150 "diagnostics" charge and take it somewhere else. That's where I learned that they had my sunroof apart and they had the opportunity to close it. Not only did they LIE to me, they also left my sunroof motor disconnected and they took out a fuse. Oh, and they left one of their tools in the lining in my car! My new, trustworthy mechanic will be keeping that! DO NOT GO TO KIA IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SCAMMED! I am appalled by this behavior. They were informed of the new hardships my family and I are facing with this Leukemia fight and they still tried to take advantage of the fact that we were two women who didn't know cars.

Robert Mercer aka "Wild Socks" is an awsome salesman, and he does his best to make sure the purchase a positive and memorable experience. He's good enought at it, that this is our third new vehicle purchase since 2018 with "Bob". My wife likes KIA's reputation and this particular dealership. As our first purchase with them was back in 2008 when we bought a new optima. I appreciate being able to call ahead and have the entire deal (loan documents & the vehicle) ready and waiting. I definately recommend this dealership, and I'm sure the other sales rep are great too- Bob is our go-to-guy when were purchasing a KIA.

I had no intention of buying a car that day, and yet I still drove home in a brand new 2019 Kia Optima! One thing that really drove me to go with Kia was they were not pushy. Joe asked if I would be buying today, and when I replied with no he still wanted to make sure I new the best possible options for the future, but not in the “you have to buy a car today way” which is what you get with most car dealerships! He also even gave me input on his favorite features on the car! I absolutely LOVE my new car, and I am so happy that this transition was so easy!

I love Kia! Their customer service is always top-notch. My car was done prior to the estimated time they said it would take, they charged me less than what they originally quoted and I trust that what they’re telling me is 100% accurate. The technician sends a video introducing themselves and showing you exactly what is being done to your vehicle. Then they wash it it before giving it back to you! I am a life-long customer. Sold!

I bought a certified pre-owned Kia Forte last night and it was actually an enjoyable experience (this from someone who hates car shopping). Our salesman Tim was very helpful but not at all pushy. I financed through them and got a better rate than my bank and credit union had offered. I love the backup camera and remote starter. It's really a nice little car for a reasonable price.

I looked on the Kia website and got a good view of there used vehicles. A person chatted with me online and told me if I came out to test drive ask for salesman Jeff Davis. Jeff was very nice and understanding of my needs in a vehicle etc.. I would highly recomend him for anyone to have a pleasant experience when looking for a vehicle. We bought our van and signed papers with also a nice man and also the manager came out to congratulate us. Like I said a very pleasant experience. This is the second vehicle over the years we have purchased from Kia of Des, Moines on Merle Hay road.
