I came on a Thursday to have my car serviced after making an appointment on a Tuesday. I was told for sure I could get a loaner because every time I make an appointment I am told I could and then get there and they never have one. This time was no different. After waiting and the asked to reschedule for sometime in August for one I refused because I work out of town and those were my only days off and I did t think it was fair. Mr. Boyce my service representative found a valet vehicle for me to drive. After having this vehicle for five years the last two in the service department haven’t been great or satisfying. I am looking to sell it just so I do t have to deal with the problems. I have to say thank you to Mr. Boyce you are the only one there that goes above and beyond to satisfy your customers.

I have own many Mercedes and have all my services with Mercedes. This was the worst experience. I never been so disappointed in the service. Services regarding the inconvenience. I pay greater than 2400 a month for a car payment but was treated like an average Joe. No rental car service for convenience. I stayed at the dealership for 3-4 hours . I was initially told I would have a courtesy ride back home upon dropping off my car. I also was told a car would pick me up to retrieve my car. Neither of these services were available. I had to PAY FOR AN UBER MYSELF BOTH WAYS. I am a provider and had patients waiting. If i was better informed of the service availability I could of better prepared. I do not think I will use this location ever until services are better restored.

Usually I used to get loaner. This time I did not get loaner. I was given ride to home but I was not picked up. I had to find my way back to pickup car. I was informed just before service was closing that keys will be left at sales. When I went to pickup car I found that document says I denied wheel alignment. No one told me I needed wheel alignment and I did not deny any additional service.

While on a road trip to Florida, we had front fender damage when the semi next to us blew a tire and their tire hit our Mercedes. We were able to get to this dealership. They took the car immediately into the shop, cut off the undepiece that was rubbing, popped the front fender back in place and even cleaned off the black smear from where the tire hit the fender (at 70 mph!). GREAT customer service, and we were back on the road within a half an hour. Thank you sooooo much!!!!

Service department can do more to inform you of alternative services you can do before quoting you their high cost of parts. For example, fix my rim if it can be fixed before quoting a $1,600 cost of a new rim. If the customer ask you to help them with something that is in your power, listen and try to accommodate. Im not one to share my experiences. However, I feel happy to take my time to tell you about Roy Chaney at Dick Dyer Mercedes Benz Volvo on Two Notch in Columbia. I called last week and told him that I was basically looking for the deal of the century. I had no way of knowing if Roy would be able to find what I needed at the price I could afford. If you know me then you know what a cheapskate I am. Roy did his due diligence by going to work and searching high and low for a deal that suited me. Roy sent me 3 possibilities that had what I am calling my perfect car in it. I have never owned a Lexus before, that is until today. I'm 51 and never understood why somefolk feel the way they do about their cars. I assure you that Roy and all of the great folk down at Dick Dyer Mercedes Benz Volvo will treat you like you are the most important person of the day! And if you give Roy Chaney the same opportunity, I promise you that he will work as hard for you. I am happy to write a review for such genuine people. I used a warranty on my 2007 C230 to have work done on the sunroof. I dropped it off and after a few hours passed I was informed that the glass in the sunroof had to be replaced. Well, it took a week for the part to come in and the work was well done, but the reason why the glass needed replacing was not explained. Staff was courteous and helpful.

My salesman Ervin gets 5 stars. As far as the dealership, it was an average, if not below, experience. First, I placed a deposit on a vehicle, secured my own financing. It was a Monday and I couldn't pick up until Friday. I was told 72 hours to hold it or they can sell it. I get that so I asked about the delivery service they heavily advertise on the website, we'll that was shot down because they wanted to see my trade that had only 6k miles on it, after I sent extensive videos and pictures of it. Their video even says they will pick up your trade on delivery. They only seemed concerned about the check. I got the check from the bank and they wanted a picture. I rearrange my work schedule to pickup the vehicle before the 72 hours and as soon as I walk in, that's the first thing Ervin asked for saying they want the check. Not 1 time did the sales manager, general manager come introduce themselves, thank you for the business, etc... as is the case in every dealership I've ever purchased from. They seemed a bit put off by not using their financing. It was just a very impersonal experience. Ervin, great job and I would recommend seeing him.

Overall a very positive experience. Everyone was pleasant, accommodating and helpful. Our salesperson Jill was outstanding. She would literally run to us from another party she was also assisting, in order to keep us from waiting too long. We got the usual dealer ridiculous low-ball on our trade, but that's to be expected. Negotiations were pretty drama-free. Overall nice folks, and the dealership felt like it had high standards that they strived to live up to.

Good, thorough job in performing my B service on a 2020 S Class. But after they washed the car, I noted two problems: some surfaces on the car weren't clean, particularly the wheels, and nothing was wiped dry. I realize this was a free service but if you offer a gratuitous wash and dry job, then please finish it. Consequently, considerable water spots were noted after my drive home. Also, there was a slightly-moistened area on the surface of the front passenger seat that definitely caused the brown leather to be a darker color from all other leather surfaces in the car, including the driver's seat. When I used a good leather cleaner to try to clean the affected seat, a bluish tint rubbed off on the clean white cotton terry rag I was using. This made me think that someone sat in that seat wearing wet jeans or some other blue colored trousers. I am hoping this damage isn't permanent. If it appears not to look good again after a few days, I will bring it back to discuss with Service.

I live in Florida and this was my first time purchasing a vehicle sight unseen over the Internet. Everyone was very responsive and answered every single question I could ask. I was already preapproved through my own bank for a loan, however they were able to get me a better rate and payment. Additionally, I had a trade-in and they allowed me to trade in The vehicle site unseen with only a survey and pictures. The sales representative, Elliot, has been wonderful throughout the entire process even following up afterwards to make sure that my experience was a wonderful one. He even went as far as to make sure my car was delivered prior to Christmas. That means they had to find someone to drive all the way from South Carolina to Florida to drop off my car. Even the delivery man was wonderful and charming and eager to please. This was definitely a wow experience. I would recommend this car dealership to anyone.

Instead of 2 days to deliver it took them 6 weeks with no communication, and everyone passing the buck when I called for an update. When the car finally did show up I was too frustrated to really test drive it, and 2 weeks later I knew it wasn’t the car for me. I randomly stumbled on the perfect car online here and submitted an inquiry late that night. By 8:30 the next morning Jill had reached out with all the info I needed to look further into it. She gave me a quick valuation on my trade in based on my story and some pics and I didn't have to take the bath I thought I would to trade in a car 2 months after I bought it, I actually came out about even. She personally drove my new car up to Charlotte, NC on a Friday evening during the gas shortage and personally set the car up to my wife, including programming her phone to the car and setting all the features and walking us through them. She managed all of that with a smile while our kids were acting wild in the back seat. She was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, nobody told me anything about the car I bought from CarMax and I didn’t know it had any features besides turn signals, a radio, and windows. I already knew this, but it was a great reminder that you cannot replace people with technology. You can buy paper towels online, but something as serious as a car needs more attention. There is no substitute for a qualified, friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working sales person, and Jill Lara gets 5 stars in all those categories. We absolutely love our new car, and when it’s time to buy a new one I plan to call Jill again even though Columbia is 2 hours away in another state.

When searching for a car at this level- customer service can make or break the sale. I originally was looking at preowned vehicles. He was diligent at showing me what I asked for and never pushing me to rush a decision or up sell me to something I did not feel comfortable with. He is knowledgeable about each of the cars and amenities and was very good at teaching me how to use them. When I did decide on a model he was able to have it transported in for me within 48 hours because he knew I had an event to travel to and he wanted to make sure I was able to take the new car. He has been available to me any time I needed assistance and he has stayed in touch to make sure all is well with my car and to make sure I do not need anything. This is the absolute FIRST time that I have encountered a car salesman that was honest. Those two words are rarely used together but I got a chance to experience a sales person that kept his word. I did paper work on Monday for my certified 2016 C Class C 300 Mercedes-Benz, "still under factory warranty". That evening before I left, I changed my mind about some of the extras that I was offered. Jerry the finance manager told me that he would not turn the paperwork in until the next day and I could take the time to talk it over with my daughter, whom he also spoke with over the phone during the process, and think about what I/we wanted to do. Although the offered benefits and extensions were awesome to have , ultimately my payment was a little higher than I anticipated and I decided to take off a few things so that it would decrease. I went back the next morning thinking this guy is going to submit those papers and I will be stuck with a high payment. I just knew that he didnt care about my personal finances. Low and behold , I got there and he had my papers sitting on his desk waiting for me to make my decision. We even went back and forth a couple of times redoing and signing the paperwork until I got things right to fit my budget. He said that he wanted me and my daughter to be satisfied with my decision. This is the the first time I have really felt like I was not being hustled in some way at a car dealership. They CARE and they deserve your business. So if you want a Benz don't think twice, just go to Dick Dyer Mercedes-Benz on Two Notch Rd. By the time you leave you will never want to drive any other car except A BENZ. On a quest to purchase a used car to fit my budget ($8,000 or under), I began a web search. Based on the results, my companion and I went dealership hopping, yielding one slightly-over-budget contender. The last car to experience was a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. I plugged the dealership—Dick Dyer—into the GPS and off we went. Pulling in, I was surprised to find a Mercedes dealership. For a split second, I paused and thought this must be the wrong place. Roy Chaney, my salesman, walked up; I shook his hand with hesitation.
We went through the used cars on his lot; lo and behold, this was the right place! He had the car pulled around and proceeded to give me first-class service, as if I was ready to spend $80,000 dollars on a Mercedes, as opposed to my seemingly-meager $8,000. Two test drives; discussion about the car’s features and what the dealership did to bring the car up to their standards (new brakes, new tires, etc.); reviewing the car’s history; and a final sit-down in the car, I was ready to make a deal. The final price came in slightly under my budget. After the sale, Roy went above and beyond to make all my requests and conditions, to finalize the deal, a reality.
Beyond that, I needed the car to be registered faster than the process of doing it through the dealership. Scott, overseer of financing and documentation, collected & organized all the paperwork and promptly gave me with everything I needed to register the car myself. We were treated with complete and total care and respect that exceeded what one would even expect from one's own family! If I did not put it all into words above, one would simply not believe the level of service that we received.
And this was not dealing with some $100k to $150k new exclusive Mercedes but rather a MB 2017 C300 that was a Retired Service Loaner for around $30k to $35k!!!
We are huge Mercedes fans for the quality of car you get for your money and thus have had dealings with the best of the best car dealerships across the country. I think the bottom line testimonial for this review is that if there is ANY way I can purchase all of my future MB cars from Dick Dyer & Associates, even with them being in Columbia, SC and us living in Texas, I will do so.

I purchased a used BMW here a little over a year ago. It was purchased as-is...and that was a mistake. When I was checking out the vehicle, I asked why the A/C didn't seem very cool. The salesperson downplayed the issue and blamed it on low coolant. However, I won't fault the dealership for that; it was my mistake that I didn't have the vehicle checked out in more detail.
What really irked me, after all this time, was the discovery that the bumper cover was held on by two zip ties, when the missing parts were only a total of $20. Who knows...maybe that's how it was when they got the vehicle. They're not a BMW dealership...that's the place next door. Otherwise, the car is in decent shape.
The point is that it's a very, very simple fix that I will do myself, but it told me a lot about their attention to detail. I don't expect to do business with this dealership again.

While on vacation from Ohio my 2012 Fleetwood/Mercedes Sprinter RV developed an issue. I called Dick Dyer to have their service department check it out. They got me in the day after New Years (they were swamped) & although they don't usually work on RV's, A.J. (the service manager) personally came out & ran the analyzer out in the parking lot. Found a couple of bad sensors which caused the DEF fluid to run low. A.J. personally filled my DEF tank with fluid & I was able to return to Ohio safely with my wife & two dogs (our kids). If I lived in Columbia this is the first place I would look for a new vehicle! GREAT customer service & hats off to A.J. & the whole staff at Dick Dyer Mercedes!!

The most professional auto dealership I’ve ever been to, I came there on the 22nd of December to look at a Chevy Tahoe they had for sale, I didn’t intend to buy, but the way Ms Barbara and Mr Hunk treated me, I ended up buying the Truck, very professional and very friendly. It was unfortune that I had to buy a car at the time because of an accident, but Kenny was glad to help. At the time I am not in SC but stay in MD and that did not stop Kenny from giving me the best service. I found a great Mercedes suv that was all wheel drive for the weather up north. My husband and I have been customers of Dick Dyer & Associates since the early 70’s. We’ve bought both Volvos and Mercedes from all THREE Generations. First a Volvo from Mr. Dyer,Senior, several Volvos from his son, Steve, and now Steve’s son Hunt Dyer has taken the reigns. From the Service Bay and the impeccable staff, to the recently renovated waiting areas, where you could literally stay all day! In 2004, we bought a 2004 XC90 Volvo SUV, used with 550 miles on it. That SUV drove like a dream, could seat 7, and I can tell you that car moved more furniture, and carried more household goods to our mountain home, including a sink and toilet for renovation there! We just gave it to our Grandson for his 15th Birthday. The car is 13 years old, had only 48,000 miles on it, and runs better than the day we got it. He and his Father drove it back home to Tennessee, and it could easily have another 100,000 miles put on it. The reason why that car is as good as it is, has everything to do with the Service Department and the personal relationships we have with the staff. Especially, Thad Streeter, John Madison, and of course, Hunt Dyer. I just ordered a new 2018 S Class 560, customised by Hunt, and I left it up to him to pick out what I needed.
