If I could give the service team of Libertyville more than 5 stars, I would jump at the chance to do so. Despite me having 2 other Hyundai dealerships closer to me, their diligence to excellence makes them stand out above the rest. My aunt and cousins recently immigrated to the US and purchased a used older Hyundai. We knew the brakes needed to be replaced, but wanted to also do a full tune-up and inspection. Libertyville Hyundai caught my eye because they were running an excellent promotion for exactly the services we needed, and had availability in the same week that I called. Bria, a service advisor, was kind and patient in explaining the car's condition report in detail, got more information from the mechanic if we didn't understand something, and gave me additional examples to help me when I was translating to my family. They found a couple of things we needed to take care of, but we didn't feel pressured to say yes to any repairs that second and were encouraged to call back after thinking it over. Two weeks later I called for an appointment for the repairs and was again able to get scheduled within the same week. They offered to have us drop the car off at our convenience, and we could even pick up past service hours (they close at 6pm) until the dealership closed at 9pm. When we arrived on the morning of the appointment, it turned out there was a change to our initial quote because of part costs. This is the exact moment Libertyville Hyundai went from great to excellent in my eyes. Their staff understood our current constraints and worked with us to help us create a care plan to spread out repairs based on importance in the moment. One of the mechanics, Dominic, even went out of his way in providing a second inspection in order to determine priority of repairs. He included us in his assessments and let us look at the parts that needed repairs, so we could see the issues ourselves and felt comfortable knowing that the work we were receiving is truly needed. The service and parts manager Eli was sympathetic to my family's dilemma with the pricing difference, and went above and beyond to work out a payment plan that fit our budget. Even though the work cost more than expected, I have no doubts about its necessity or quality because of the efforts of Brie, Dominic, and Eli. Their service department has been - hands down - the best I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with in all my 13 years of driving. If/when the time comes for us to get repairs again, Libertyville Hyundai is the place I trust with any of our vehicles.

The Palisade is one of the Hottest vehicles on the market (for good reason) and in this market, dealerships really have no incentive to work with customers on pricing. This dealership will work with your financial/life situation. My wife was involved in a total loss car accident. This dealership worked with us before the insurance check cleared to get us in a Palisade which we absolutely needed for our family. The sales rep we worked with, Rob S., personally drove over an hour away to get us the Palisade we wanted from another dealership... In the color we wanted, moonlight cloud. When I kept asking him questions throughout the process, He kept saying. "I got you", "We will make it worth your time", and "We really value our customers". He wasn't wrong. I highly recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for a vehicle in this market. 5 year bumper to bumper, 10 year power train, no Brainerd Happy Hyundai shopping y'all

Went to have my Hyundai serviced and waited for the work to be completed. Basic, oil change, tire rotation and check of some sensors.The staff were very friendly and seemed invested in the service I was requesting. However, I had a 730am appointment and waited 3 hours with NO updates. Upon completion of service at 1030am, I was told the "machine" was not working so not sure where I stand with the sensors. I do appreciate the location of this dealership as well as the positive attitudes of the staff but communication with customers, especially while they are waiting onsite, is definitely something that needs to be improved in my opinion.

We both dropped off for oil changes and tire rotations...received texts when cars were ready...picked cars up and paid. The paperwork advised we needed to immediately replace engine air filters and soon replace cabin filters. Why weren't we called and asked if we wanted that done while the cars were in? We certainly would have, especially the engine air filter. Now we have to take them back in and likely pay more labor and be inconvenienced. Left us scratching our heads about service.

I told him I needed information on a new Elantra, specifically an estimated total price and monthly payment. I had gone to other dealerships and could not get either of my requests because they insisted on running a credit check first. I told Vito that all I needed were those two numbers. He immediately spoke to Anthony, the Finance Manager, and came back within minutes with quotes that I requested. Above all else: I got a higher trade in value on my vehicle than any other dealership offered me, a low down payment, the car that I wanted, and I was treated with respect, kindness, and honesty. As a client, I couldn’t ask for more! After going to car dealerships for three months within the northern and northwest suburbs of Chicago, I decided to give Happy Hyundai a shot after I received a text from one of their representatives that the new Hyundai I was looking for would be in stock. At the time, I have been debating between the new Hyundai accent and a Nissan Sentra. Turns out this dealership had a 2021 Sentra in stock with barely any miles on it, immaculate condition, and all the nice perks I was looking for. Better yet, they were selling the Sentra for a lower price than I’ve seen at any other dealership I went to. Honestly, kinda sounded too good to be true. But, I thought to go anyways to check it out. My hesitation with dealerships above all else is how the sales people treat you. I endured three months of getting mind blowing excuses for high interest loans and unethical sales practices. My experience at Happy Hyundai was a complete contrast to these experiences to the point that I will only ever purchase a car from this dealership and refer friends and family members to them to spare the headache of dealing with other dealerships. The sales rep I worked with was David Kubin which had an honest approach by not only showing me all the car facts which were pristine but by giving me consistent updates about my finance application. There was no need to haggle, there was no insane upselling, there was no back and forth necessary. He was fun, transparent, and got me in and out of the door with the car I wanted. The financing managers Anthony and Kurt relentlessly pushed to get me the best financing possible. The customer service from both Anthony and Kubin addressed all my questions and was delivered in a kind manner all while being enthusiastic about truly helping me buy the car I wanted. The atmosphere at this dealership is truly like no other as everyone welcomes you with friendliness and celebrates your new purchase. Oh, and when you buy a car you have to ring this giant bell that they have on their sales floor which just makes it even more fun! It fits into their enthusiastic Happy Hyundai spirit. Asked for the out the door price, so tax title license and they said about 49k. So watch out for Mark up on the vehicles. They added about 11k on top of the tax title license then when I asked what was the 11k for he said no negotiating over the phone. Made no sense. Not a great experience. If you do buy from here be vary weary of the vehicle mark ups and things they add it without telling you.

I really enjoy working with him as he doesn't bother me with calls or check in everyday asking me to buy, he just lets me tell him what I'm thinking and will only contact me with updated regarding our previous talks or to return my calls. Having someone knowledgeable and trying to help you without being overbearing can be difficult in this market. He's easy to work with and set your bottom line and understands if you walk away unable to make a deal. Overall. Nice facility and the staff are friendly, while I always work with Matt no complaints otherwise in my time there. Fair warning, in the current climate asking price is a few grand over MSRP. While that is common, keep in mind, dealers asking prices vary so be sure to ask upfront.

We purchased a 2022 Hyundai Kona. Our salesperson Kayla was amazing throughout the entire process. She was knowledgeable, professional, honest and very helpful throughout the process. The only negative of the buying experience is the mandatory add on pricing that the dealership adds to the price of the car. This mandatory package includes tires for the life of the vehicle, interior protection against stains and rips, oil changes, loaner vehicles, and car washes. That $3,999 price tag is added to every vehicle. Now that may be something that someone might want to invest in but it should not be a mandatory addition. I know that every Hyundai dealership has their version of a mandatory add on package. Knowing that 3 years of complimentary service is already included in the vehicle definitely lessens the value of that package from the start. Since I know that this is a common practice at Hyundai, I knew that I couldn’t buy a Hyundai without some type of add ons. The only reason why I purchased the vehicle was because I was able to negotiate the price of the package. However, it was still a good buying experience thanks to Kayla.

I just want to start by saying that Jim, Greg, Carlos, and Bryan were extremely helpful. The visit started with me bringing my 2022 Veloster N in for a break in oil change. The service center was pretty empty so Bryan personally took care of that oil change. He cam and found me and basically asked me how i wanted everything done, which i appreciated immensely. At the same time, my mom and my brother were looking for a car for him, and Jim took care of that. he treated us with the upmost amount of respect, and never did we feel like we were being taken advantage of. Greg AND Carlos made sure the deal could happen, and for that, i thank all four of them for hopefully turning around the joke of an excuse that are the hyundai dealers in this area.
