My fiance and I had a very good experience at Burlington Subaru, with Nikkie Hodder as our salesperson. She was very pleasant and responsive. We felt like we were treated very well, and she was attentive to our comfort during the time spent at the dealership. We purchased a used 10 year old Ford Fiesta, but Nikkie treated us with the same care as if we were buying a $60,000 car. The customer service never disappoints. I scheduled a winter-tire changeover and when I arrived, they let me know it was going to be a few hours. I was caught a little off-guard thinking that changeovers don't take more than an hour so I was planning to stay at the shop and get some work done. Cody, super nice guy, set me up with a loaner vehicle with zero issues so I could maximize my time. They were so busy and short-staffed and still had my car done by EOD. My experiences there have always been great. Honestly, some of the best customer service I've experienced in Vermont. They're hard to beat.

The sales person worked with me online and helped me select a trim that we liked better, communicated clearly about price and costs (NO surprises), and we agreed on a price that beat every other dealer we had talked with. This was our second purchase from Burlington Subaru and we couldn't be happier! We reached out to our salesman, Eric, who helped us 2 years ago and he is still an employee. It was great to catch up with him and have him assist us with our new car purchase. Due to inventory shortages we had to wait for our car to be shipped from Indiana. This was not an issue for us at all. The day it arrived, Eric sent us a picture and the next day we signed the papers and drove it home. Conrad was awesome in explaining the financing to us and Cinder did a great job explaining all of the new technology to us. We have also received follow-ups from the team to make sure we are 100% satisfied and to answer any questions we might have. HIGHLY recommend Burlington Subaru to anyone in the market for a car.

My car I bought from here had an issue that needed attention on a Saturday the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a safe loner car to go visit family over the holidays. Pinas in sales helped ensure we got help which I would personally recommend him for a sale and Cody and Cameron helped me process the problem after normal hours going above and beyond to make sure we are never stranded. Burlington Subaru is the best. WE were visiting Burlington and our trunk door broke just as we drove into town, a weekday at 5:30. We bought our car at Burlington Subaru and always used their service; they were incredibly helpful, removed the broken parts so that we could drive the car and get to our destination.
They made an appointment for 8AM the next morning, and also discovered that the part was on an extended warranty - we didn't have to pay a penny. Everyone was incredibly helpful and made certain that the incident didn't interfere with our plans.

As always, the team at Burlington Subaru service made my repair situation as seamless as possible. Went in for a 90K service on my 2018 and ended up needing a few extra repairs. Unfortunately, parts were taking longer than expected but they put me in a loaner straight away and let me keep it for an extra day as my schedule wouldn't allow me to get back into b-town during Thanksgiving week. It's busy in there - all the time, but they do their best to make it a personal experience.

Our car came in for the 30,000 check-up, and the best thing about the visit is that there were no suggestions for "things that could use attention". So often dealerships have tried to get us to fix things that didn't need fixing. Our car got a 5 star rating, and so does Burlington Subaru for all the reasons below. They were prompt, honest, and friendly. Our loaner was clean and really spiffy (no charge or need to fill with gas). We got a free car wash voucher, a free cookie, and even a 3-month free introduction to Sirius. Superb service!

We've been feeling the love of Subaru for 19 years. We had an Outback for 10 years and have had our current Impreza for 9. Over the years, we've lived in 3 places and gone to 4 different Subaru Service departments. I gave them all high marks, but having been to Burlington Subaru, I have a whole new high bar standard that the other dealers didn't come close to. On a trip to see friends in VT last week, our Imprezza started acting up. We took it in the day after we arrived, and an experience we were dreading became a pleasure. Quick service. Humor. I've been buying Subarus for 30 years, some used and some new. This was the first time working with Burlington Subaru and this was by far the best experience I've had. Sterling, my sales person was a pleasure to work with. He's a super laidback guy, and incredibly easy to work with. He was very helpful and informative and never once made me feel pressured.
I worked with Crystal in the finance department and she was an absolute joy to work with. I never once felt pressured, or felt like she was upselling. Crystal, like Sterling was incredibly patient, she was able to explain the financial portion of the purchase in a way that I actually understood --which is no easy task. She didn't get even frustrated when I accidentally threw away all of the finance details she had calculated and put together for me, or if she did she did a great job hiding it.
I felt comfortable throughout the entire process and enjoyed my time working them.

Called twice one day to check on car status, each time I was told someone would call me back within the hour, and both times I did not receive any call. Called again the following day and insisted on staying on the line. Also, a rock had become lodged in the underside of our brand new Forester Wilderness after a few weeks of just normal road driving. Even though the service technician said they had to remove the rock, which was rubbing against the rotor creating a loud grinding sound, the paperwork said they were "unable to duplicate" our issue. Not really honest, and we are hoping this does not happen again because Subaru seems to be denying this even happened in the first place. (granted it's not a mechanical failure, but possibly a design flaw if this happens again...) A bit disappointing. They did find the problem and fixed it in a timely manner, though, so I am generally satisfied with the service event.

I called to make an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation snd was told appointments were being scheduled two weeks out. The service representative then told me about their express service. I was able to bring my car in on Monday at 7:45am ( 3 days after my call Friday morning) and wait for my vehicle. The work was done in an hour and a half! The staff is always friendly and very thorough in explaining the work that was done and if there was anything that needed attention soon.
The free car wash card after service is a nice touch!

As everyone looking for a new or used car knows, they are difficult to find. My wife and I live in CT and searched local Subaru dealers for cars, only to be told again and again that the minimum wait would be between 2 and 4 months for a new car. We decided to try Burlington Subaru as my son and his family live nearby. I was was very fortunate to talk to Nikki Hodder. Yes she confirmed that they didn't have any of the cars we were looking for in stock, but she told me that they were expecting a shipment of cars and it was possible that not all were sold. She took my number and told me that she would call if there was something that might be of interest. We had heard that before. But to my delight, a couple of days later she called and told us that there was car in that shipment that closely matched what we were looking for and it would arrive in 2 weeks. Nikki provided exceptional service through the sale and delivery of the car. Always thoughtful and pleasant to work with, I give her and the dealer ship my most enthusiastic recommendation. Update 11/20/20 and 1/3/21.
I test drove several cars and found only one that was very interesting. It was a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0 Turbo. The salesman John Balin helped us. I took the car for a pre-purchase mechanical inspection at Essex Automotive. They found it a very good car. Upon my return from the inspection to the dealership my timing was unfortunate. I entered the parking lot and one of the employees backed into me and damaged the car. This did not dissuade me from purchasing the car so I went inside and made the deal. Of course the dealership covered all cost and repairs for the damage to the car. They even provided me with a service rental car at no charge while the car was being inspected repaired and the body work completed.
One of the bad things about the deal was that the finance officer ended up not telling the truth about the warranty on the car. There was a warranty sticker on the window of the car when I drove it for the test drive. He insisted it was an as-is purchase and that the warranty sticker was a mistake. As a previous car salesman in California I knew this was not true. Even though this was an outstanding dealership you need to be careful with any finance officer who will sell you anything for an outrageous profit. The extended warranty price was $1,600 on a car that was already covered.
Subsequently to the purchase I had a opportunity to visit the sister store Burlington Hyundai and they took care of me service wise. This is where I found out there was a lifetime warranty on the engine and the drivetrain.
I put the car through its paces and found that everything on the car was working and was very pleased with the quality and power of the car.
On January 3rd 2021, I was driving home from a day trip and while driving through a blinding snow storm I had a dangerous situation. The snow plow ahead of me drifted from the left lane over to the right lane without warning. I braked heavily and the ABS brakes worked fantastically. There was no slip or slide. The winter tires on the car worked great I was able to stop the car and avoid rear ending the plow truck within 25 yards, amazing.

I didn't feel pressured throughout the shopping and buying process and he continued to follow up to see how things were running even after the sale. It's been a little over 2 years since I bought this car and I've gone here to get it serviced and the service team is speedy and kind. Ill be honest I get my oil changed closer to my house, but recently some lights came on including Check Engine and I figured I better call Burlington Subaru Service. First of all, they squeezed me in the very next morning, I couldn't believe it. And they offered to take care of a break light recall that I mentioned. They also did a maintenance check. I was expecting the worst, a crazy high bill at best. Cody was my service agent, literally the best! He was pleasant, cordial, and explained everything clearly. I think we could all use people like Cody in the times like these. Anyway, turns out the engine light issue was covered by my warranty which I didn't expect, afterall my car is older. They didnt even charge me for a diagnostic. They came off honest and respectful, I was very impressed with the service, thank you all. I'll be back and definitely asking for Cody!

This was our first new car purchase from Subaru, and I have to say that Pinhas, our sales associate, made the process super smooth and easy. It was a delight working with him, as he answered all of our questions promptly and with honesty, resulting in us being able to close the deal very quickly. My wife and I are both crazy busy with day jobs and our own personal businesses, so we had little spare time to mess around.
The experience was so good that we plan to work with Pinhas again in the very near future to secure yet another new car for our family.

Although I didn't end up buying a car here, they were very helpful! I went in with a few ideas about what kind of car I wanted, and Anthony (the sales person we met with) ran through the different pricing options, model options, etc., and was all-around quite informative. I was looking for a used Subaru in a certain price range and mileage range, and even though they didn't have any in stock that fit my needs, Anthony did a great job of keeping me informed when they got in some used vehicles in my price range/with the specs I wanted.
Like I mentioned, I didn't end up buying my car here; there was one that Anthony sent me that I was thinking about buying but someone else got it before I was able to come up and look at it, and I found a used car elsewhere that fit my needs. But I very much appreciated Anthony keeping me informed as they got cars that he thought I might be interested in.
Overall, I had a great experience with Burlington Subaru, especially with the sales person Anthony. He was very informative and helpful, presented us with some good options, gave us a good pitch but was never too pushy with sales tactics etc, and was respectful throughout.

Service was timely, as stated. Service agents are professional.
Parts department has been helpful sourcing odd engine parts.
The first recall service went fine. However, the second service wasn't smooth.
Upon driving home, I noticed that the glove compartment was not fully reassembled correctly. This will now require me so spend another few hours bringing it back.
I'm not mad at them, just disappointed.

We visited them all, found a lot of great option, and in the end bought a Subaru Outback from them and the service is top notch. We worked with Pinhas and he is excellent. Purchased a new 2021 Outback. The car is great. Unfortuantely I didn't have a great experience at Burlington Subaru.
The remote start on the vehicle did not work, so I called service the next morning and they took my message and told me the salesperson would give me call later that day to help. Never recieved that call.
So the next day I emailed the salesperson, he told me that service would give me a call.
Again, never recieved a call.
So I called service again, explained the whole situation, they couldn't get a tech to help me troubleshoot it over the phone and asked me to bring the vehicle in.
So I drove the 2+ hours to Burlington to get it serviced. After a couple hours of waiting, I was told they would keep the car, meaning I'd have to make the 4 hour round trip again to pick up the car when it was fixed.
The car itself is great, the people are friendly and very helpful. Just unfortunately not a great experience there for me.
Edit: Just as an update, the dealership offered to drive my vehicle up to me for the inconvience. It's a long drive, so I appreciate it. Hard to beat that, given the situation.

This review is strictly for the service department. I haven't worked with sales. I brought my Impreza (which I regularly bring into anther service center) in for a strange electrical issues that's been plaguingit. Although they haven't figured out the electrical issue yet, as electrical issues often go, they did take the time to check my timing belt and found it in horrible condition and ready to snap. I was surprised because I do have this car serviced pretty regularly. I'm super thankful for the foreman's thoroughness. He probably saved me a totaled car in the near future. They were also able to start working on my timing belt immediately and gave me a rental car so that I did not have to drive a dangerous vehicle home. It is a very stressful situation to realize your car has a serious issue, especially with a baby in tow. Happy to have had good customer service to help me and baby stay safe.
They had plenty of safe-feeling space to wait during COVID-19. I was also impressed by their "win a new car" program for high school kids with good grades. That is pretty awesome! Hope they still have it when my little one is getting ready to drive.

Everyone that I've dealt with here has been extremely friendly! They are very attentive to your needs and they don't try to push or force sales and services on you. The prices for the basic services are reasonable.
I needed a 24k mile check up. I used their express service bay; I got in and got out within 1 hour having no appointment. They respected that I had already changed my oil and oil filter and cabin air filter so they didn't push any of those services.
I bought my oil oil filter, Crush Washer, and air filter here for market prices for OEM parts. The guys in the parts department are very helpful and friendly to boot.
As a bonus when you are waiting for your service to be done there was a nice waiting area in the main lobby with comfy seats and free snacks. Bonus points for having Chobani yogurt.
I have no complaints and nothing but good things to say about my experience here.

I’ve purchased all 3 with him, most recently, my wife and I bought the new Ascent (which we love)...as a new model, we were a little unsure and didn’t want to entrust the decision to just anyone, so we drove from Boston to Burlington VT to see Phil at his new digs...and the trip was well worth it. I think the service department folks at Burlington Subaru work hard making your repair visit professional and courteous. But, the property is simply too small for the number of vehicles arriving and departing. I prefer "spread out" operations such as those in St. Albans. Though I like my Outback, I will very soon buy a Toyota, Nissan, GM, or Ford SUV simply because of local dealerships. I'm getting too old for the hustle and bustle of the in and out, loaner vehicle, and the considerable travel from Swanton.

She gave me her real thoughts about pricing, features, etc. She was super informative and basically let me ask every question and allowed me space to negotiate. You really do get what you pay for though with a Subaru! I've been driving my car for only 3 days now, but I love it and I have no regrets. She definitely gave her input and talked to me about her own experience of having a car and family and what made sense or what might be a waste of money (and savings for me). I appreciated the balance between honesty and trying to do her job well. I felt she was on my side in the process. The interesting part is that dealers often try to not let you leave without at least pushing you a lot to buy or lease. I was the one who said I wanted to buy (maybe I gave the impression I wasn't going to buy that day). Well, I did, and I'm glad that I felt I was making my own decisions in the process. I love that I'm in my first car, that it's new, and that I actually really love it.
The dealership also is located near food (you know you need it to not get a headache), has refreshments, wifi and ipads for use. If I ever need a newer car/upgrade, I know I can go back and get something good.
All it took on my end was a lot of research and homework before and I think everyone respected the fact that it wasn't easy to trick me into anything just because I knew too much about the buying process as a first time and young car buyer.

Mixed feelings about this dealership. I went in to look at a 2016 Impreza sport with 20K miles, the initial asking price was $20000. I offered 17,500 based on the market value of the car from multiple websites. They told me this was not even a possibility and the most they could negotiate was a “couple hundred off the asking price”. I just saw that the same car sold for $17,500 about two months later! Luckily, I already found a better deal. It also seems like they constantly push unnecessary repairs onto you. I brought my old car in to a different mechanic for a second look and out of the several repairs they wanted to make, just two were legitimate. Overall, not too impressed.

I went in to ask about the airbag recall and first person I see and ask for directions to the service department is a sales person who ties to sell me a new car because it could take a year to get the part. I get to service department and speak with representative that tells me I should get a call next Monday (it's Thursday) about getting in the next Thursday or Friday...And doesn't mention that I can get a rental until then...I get no call, I go back the next Thursday, to the same person, who then explains it could be another week or two or a month. So I ask about getting a rental, she asks if it was something I set up when I ordered the part! I explain that it was never offered and that I need a car if I can't get it fixed ASAP. She goes in back, come out 2 minutes later and says the have the part for another person that hasn't shown up yet and that they could squeeze me in...my car was fixed in 50 minutes.

Experiences with this dealership have been mixed. I came in wanting to test drive three different models because I didn't know which one I wanted, the Crosstrek, Forester, and WRX. I was told that the WRX was not available, however there were multiples on the lot. I pointed this out to the sales representative and they let me drive it with a stern warning about joyriding.
My wife has had terrible experiences with the service department, blaming her for TPMS malfunctions and treating her less than professionally at the counter. This seems to have improved over the years though.
We go here out of necessity rather than willingly. We like Subarus though.

I just drove away from Burlington Subaru with my new 2015 XV Crosstrek, and was much more happy with my car-buying experience than I expected to be. I only buy a car about once every 15 years, so I am inclined to be suspicious of the process, but Crystal was great to work with: no pressure, showed me (and later my husband and me) the Crosstrek in detail; and helped us compare it with the Outback and Forester. She spent all the time we needed across 3 evenings to answer our questions and do all the paperwork to complete our trade-in and sale. I researched the final price of the Crosstrek with others, and I feel like we got a decent price.
Why only 4 stars? Not because of Crystal; but perfection is hard to come by, and I think Burlington Subaru might have given us a bit more for our trade-in; and the dealership is getting cramped in its present location.

One of the best first impressions I've ever had with a business. Last month I came into this dealership just to browse a few suv type vehicles and did not expect to find a vehicle I would be buying anytime soon. Their front desk greeted me and set me up with an appointment (almost instantly) with Lance, one of the sales consultants. Lance was pleasant, welcoming, patient, and laid back-all great qualities that made me feel like I was at home with this business. He took over 2 and 1/2 hours out of his day to show me different models of cars, let me test drive a 2018 Forester, figure out finances, look at paints on different models, picking out what I want in a car, and looking at various quotes. I ended up leaving that evening with a brand new car on order.
Just this past weekend, I came in to pick up my Subaru and spent quite a few hours going over questions I had, paperwork to complete, and learning how the vehicle operates. It was all a bit overwhelming and a big step from first driving a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but Lance, his manager, and Cinder were all very patient, helpful, considerate, and even stayed past their business hours just to help me out with everything and I cannot express how much that all meant to me. Even now they call and email to check up on me and the Subaru and I haven't even had her for a week haha.😂 They never once made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, bad about taking time on some decisions, or dumb because of my lack of experience and knowledge on newer models of cars. So if you're looking for a newer vehicle and absolutely amazing customer service on top of that, then I couldn't recommend a better place to stop on by-and this is coming from someone driving 3 hours one way just to stop at this dealership. I would do it again in a heartbeat!!

I had a safety recall for passenger side airbag. According to them I have cords in the way. (Nothing internal) all gadgets that plug into lighter. They want me to come in and remove it. I don't have a car...they won't take verbal permission to unplug or written as I offered. Now I have to make another appointment to get this done because someone can't unplug a car lighter....
Update** The management reached out to me and made things right. So I have to give them props for the fast response and I was able to get this done without another appointment.

They squeezed us in on a Saturday to do an emergency repair while we were in Vermont on vacation. The repair only cost $64 and they recommended we do a warantee claim back in Canada. Subaru Canada could use a lesson on Customer Service from them. No wonder every second car in Vermont seems to be a Subaru. I am changing my liscence plate holders from my original dealer's to their's because they were so impressive relatively speaking.

I was scheduled for an oil change and I had not specifically requested a safety check because that is normally included. Just not at Burlington Subaru.
