Kyle in finance who was very personable actually lowered my quoted payment and threw in a few extras which almost never happens. Love that they do a valet service to my area, and that they offer a free inspection sticker if you pass... HOWEVER... I scheduled an oil change for this visit, which is listed as $59.99. Apparently, my vehicle requires fully synthetic oil, which is almost twice as expensive, but they did not see fit to contact me and ask if the additional cost was acceptable. They just did it, and now I have to pay it, even though I could have had my oil changed elsewehre for less.

I had a great experience with the no pressure sales staff at Berlin City. Jason Russin was my salesman and we worked closely with sales manager Adam Rich. Both guys worked to get me the best deal possible on a pre-owned vehicle. The negotiation over price was actually painless as they did everything I needed to get the deal done, including matching the price of another dealership that was out of state. I purchased a Jeep from Berlin City Kia last month and could not be more impressed with salesman Bryon Carper who found out what I was looking for (after I responded to a car posting on Facebook Marketplace that didn’t end up being a match) and then he went out and found me my vehicle. This is how I thought cars salespeople worked – and how they would bring the best value to their respective dealership – but the reality is over the years of buying vehicles I have yet to find a salesperson who did just that. Especially when I was seeking a vehicle that was not a featured car brand of the dealership. After our initial online messages back and forth, Bryon texted me a couple days later advising he thinks he found a Jeep that met all my requirements and forwarded me a link to have a look. No pressure, no hyperbole, no big sales pitch…he just he did his job, his due diligence, to find me what I was looking for, and forwarded a link to me to check out and see if it looked like a vehicle that I expressed an interest in. His approach was perfect, and his demeanor was very much appreciated by this very fatigued female car buyer. As I told Bryon, it’s very intimidating for a woman to buy a vehicle by herself. No matter how educated and researched I am on the vehicle or vehicles that I’m considering (and trust me, I always have done my research and homework), my experience has always been that a woman walking into a dealership alone is a target. Every salesman I have met over the years has treated me like I know nothing about cars, or even more insulting…that I had no idea what I thought I wanted. There’s a huge segment of female would-be car buyers out there who feel the exact same way I do, and I can assure you having salespeople like Bryon who offer a great experience without the talking down to or the pressure to buy would behoove any dealership to employ. Thank you Berlin City Kia for the great work and for employing great salespeople like Bryon who have a refreshing approach to selling cars and ensuring customer satisfaction!

We bought a car recently. The salesman and manager we worked with were knowledgeable and helpful. They actually had an EV, which was also great. Less great was the fact that they are charging $6k over the sticker and then squeezed us on our trade-in, offering less than other dealerships in the area. In the end we still bought the car and are very happy with it. Just a gorgeous machine.

Everyone very friendly and accommodating. Made buying experience less stressful. Waiting area very nicely done. I brought my Telluride in for service on 1/24/23 and got free inspection for life! Also synthetic oil and filter change and a couple download recalls. I used the coupon they sent me in the mail and they even took extra money off for waiting a bit longer than expected. A few months ago, my wife and I visited their wonderful display facility. We were looking for a late model Kia Niro. They didn't have one... last week, Chris Brown called and said they had just taken one in. Without even looking at it, we started the paperwork process and received immediate approval. We went to see the Niro the next day and it was perfect for our future needs. Kyle worked with us and found some good banking support. From entering the building, test driving on the highway, to signing the paperwork was about 3 hours... Done deal. It's that time of year when the winter tires come off, and I usually go to Midas but thought I'd give these guys a try. I've used them for other services for my Optima, so why not try the changeover service? Normally I have them pickup my vehicle and drop it back off to me when the service is done. I like sitting back and doing my work without having to spend time driving, but today I decided to bring it myself. When I pulled in, I didn't know where to go, and wasn't sure what I was doing. I walked in and was greeted by a smiling face who offered to get me coffee or anything else I needed. They also directed me to the service center and Jason helped me get signed in. While I waited, I sat at one of the many tables in a comfortable chair. All the tables were spaced well so you're not on top of other customers. I was able to do my work while I waited, thanks to the wi-fi. I got up to use the restroom and noticed someone was in the women's room, but an associate noticed I was waiting and they popped out of a nearby office to let me know it was okay to use the men's room. I appreciated that little extra attention. The service was estimated at 1.5 hours and only went over a little, but the tire changeover isn't a quick and easy task, so I was happy to wait. They washed the car, as usual, and I was on my way! They even pulled it right out front for me so I didn't have to go hunting, like I've had to do at other places. Also, the service technician put my seat back in the same position it was before (I'm super short!) and I sincerely appreciated that gesture. It's not a big one, but it meant a lot, as other places don't think of that. Thanks, team!

My most recent visit to this dealership's service department was on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. I brought my 2015 Optima hybrid in to investigate two yellow lights that lit up on my dashboard (ABS and the "skidding vehicle" icon right next to it). I immensely appreciate service staff still being able to fit me in, despite my oversleeping and showing up at 8:45 AM for an 8:15 AM appointment I arranged online the previous night upon noticing the two lit up warning lights. However, if I had realized that I would be charged $156.79 to be told that a low battery level activated those two lights (two days before payday, while I'm still struggling to get caught up on finances after 2.5 months out of work and accepting an over 50% pay cut from my previous travel hospital lab contract in order to work again on June 1, 2021) - I would have most definitely taken the car to an auto parts store for a simple dashboard light diagnostic service instead. You live, you learn.

Never wanted a KIA, had a deposit down on a vehicle from another manufacturer. Reached out to Berlin City on a whim because the K5 piqued my interest and am glad I did. Josh Catella is a very informed and attentive salesperson and happily put up with my nonstop barrage of weird questions. Not only did he show me how many features on my new car worked, he followed up the next day when he remembered those he didn’t. Have an issue where the service department left handprints on the interior and they’re willing to make that right instead of pretending it isn’t their issue. I don’t normally enjoy the car buying process but I didn’t mind it this time around. Would highly recommend BCKIA for anyone looking for a new ride right now.

I’m on my third Kia Soul from Berlin City. I had to get a new one in May because my lease was up. I was contacted by a male salesman who was very pushy in April and treated me like I knew nothing about purchasing a car. In May, Michelle Parent reached out to me and was 100% better. I went in for a visit and left with a new lease! Michelle was great and the store seemed pretty safe considering there was a pandemic going on. The Service Department is also excellent! I’ve been going here since 2013 and have never been disappointed with their service.

If I could give a review for just Service and Parts this would be a 5-star review. I've had excellent service picking up parts and for getting service done. We are a two car household, one of which is a Kia, and we bring both cars here for routine maintenance. I've never been once pressured for more service options at this location. They are excellent. Regarding sales, we've never purchased a car here, but we've come in for test drives and rough financing numbers a couple times and often ended up with a salesperson with something to prove. They're just not able to (or willing to) work with us as nearly as much as Kia dealers elsewhere.

Berlin City Kia has changed for the better! Years ago I was displeased with the service but I knew they had the best car deals around. I decided to give them another chance and it was a smart move. Their entire facility from their showroom to their service department to their staff have all been upgraded and improved. The staff are very friendly and inviting. The deals are still the best around! Ben, our sales rep was super awesome! He made sure we were accompanied even during down times waiting for approval. Ben is very knowledgeable and forthcoming. I purchased a Toyota from the Gorham branch that smelled like someone was chain smoking cigarettes in the car as a professional career. I had hoped that the smell would go away but holy hell. I brought my car in to this location and Jim was very generous and helpful. He could smell the smoke smell immediately (I mean who couldn't!?) and quickly got my vehicle in for professional cleaning. He's been very helpful. He was professional and polite. Only giving four stars due to the fact that it is Berlin City's fault to start with that they didn't clean the car before selling it. The smell still lingers occasionally but it's not as potent as before which helps. I think I can get by with some charcoal bag air purifiers.

I know there are those that are concerned about bringing a vehicle to the dealership. Berlin City in Williston, VT is different and different in the best way. Jerry, a service manager is the reason I have come back for various things my non-Kia (I have a Jeep) has needed such as oil change, inspection (did you know they are free!), new breaks and other things. Not only do I bring my car here, but I encourage everyone to come here for their car serving. Now, back to Jerry. He is an honest, kind, and caring person that will do whatever he can to get you what you need, at a great price, with an on time estimate of completion. About a week and a half ago I purchased a used Ford Explorer from Berlin City Kia. Here are my thoughts: The salesman, Nick, was courteous, friendly and professional. When I was initially negotiating for the vehicle one of the items I wanted to know about was the price Berlin City had paid for the Explorer. I was told it was 'Policy' not to reveal that price, but when I went over the car after getting it home I found the paperwork from the previous owner. I discovered that the previous owner had purchased this vehicle for over $1500 less than what I paid for it. I examined the repair sheet that came with the vehicle and other than a fancy oil change I can't see anything that would have justified such a price increase, especially since the tires will very soon have to be replaced and all the speakers are blown. It doesn't feel like a $23k vehicle. I feel like a chump, like a meal ticket. I feel as though I overpaid for a vehicle that someone else was smart enough to haggle for. There was no reason for me to trust that I was getting a good deal, I simply had to start somewhere and try my best to not get taken advantage of. I don't feel I was treated well by your dealership. Everyone I dealt with was all smiles and happy to help me, but no one thought me of as an actual person with budget constraints of my own. I was simply a means to an end.

So far, we are pleased with out experience here. Unfortunately our sales rep no longer works there, but she was a pleasure to work with. Everything was done via text and phone call, which was awesome for us! Our car was delivered around 36 hours later to our home in NY. We have less than perfect credit and were able to get ourself into a low mileage, 2 year old car which was fantastic, with a very reasonable interest rate. Upon receiving our car, we realized it needed some minor work (alignment and struts replaced), and we brought it in, got the work done no charge under the 2 month/2,000 mile warranty. Erin in service was amazing to work with and went above and beyond for us. My only complaints are 1) that the car came to us needing an alignment and struts (it only had 40k miles on it), 2) it took the plates almost a month to arrive at the dealership. I'm not sure who's end it was on since it was an out of state sale, but a month is a long time, 3) took almost a month to get our 2nd key fob mailed to us. Other than that, pleasant experience!

Brought my 4 Runner in multiple times to diagnose the lights that were on the dash. I'd show up without warning and the shop was quick to see my vehicle and take care of my needs. Once it was determined what my vehicle needed (warranty part) they were quick to take it in, bring me to work, pick me up the following day, and send me on my way good as new! UPDATE: I ended up speaking Dedrick Thursday evening and he was very apologetic and he made sure to make everything right! He got me in today Saturday and I received amazing customer service and was taken care of!!! They had me in and out in a little over an hour which was great because I had my two young children with me (I was expecting to be there for over two hours) I just called to schedule an oil change and 30k service and also check on the recall for my car. I got transferred to a voicemail because I had to get the vin number out of my wallet which would have took a minute or less, she told me she didn’t have the time to wait after I was on hold for almost 15 minutes, I was told she had other customers to help which I understand but she couldn’t wait less than a minute for me to get a vin number.... if I would have known I needed the vin I would have had it but I’ve never needed it schedule an oil change..... I called and left 2 voicemails for the service manager and expect to have a call returned phone call by 5pm because that was extremely unprofessional. I guess I may be driving to barre/Montpelier Kia if this is how they treat their customers.

I bought a used 2010 dodge ram from them a couple years ago .They knowingly hid damage from me and the fact that it has been in an accident before. They used cheap aerosol paint to cover rust and scratches which was evident by the overspray all over the windows and door handles. Pretty obvious the salesperson just wanted a sale and wasnt concerned with the quality of the item purchased or for their personal and professional integrity. I wouldnt recommended this place if they were giving vehicles away for free. Greedy and no good (I need to add this was in 2018... the fact that the new general manager got back to my review swiftly with any concerns, i will reconsider my 1star.....best of luck Mr. Casab)

Very personable upfront sales people. Answered questions or sought answers for me. There was not the kind of double talk and pressure I have experienced in other dealerships. The only drawback was description of the truck did not completely match the actual vehicle. The price was still a good price for the truck, but the original description would have made it an excellent price had all the options listed actually been on the truck. The dealership is a busy one and two items on the "rigorous reconditioning" were never done. They were pointed out several times but not done when I came to pick up truck. Price was very fair and everyone was up front with no pressure. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

This location is great, the service department performs thorough inspections and they don't keep you waiting all day. When I asked, they also went out of their way to help me find parts that would fit my car if I wanted to modify later on down the road (Cold air intake, exhaust etc.). Update, my 2018 Sorento (that we loved) from here was totaled form a mice infestation! Multiple people helped me get through this and get it replaced with a nice preowned Sedona that was in great shape from prior owner having all work done here. This dealer remains true in top quality and personal service! Update January 2021. Sales, finance, and support all helped me get a new hybrid Niro that we loved after the 2018 mice problem. The Niro was a little small for us (though did not mind over 50 MPG which was the equivalent of the electric cost on our prior 2018 Soul EV). I don't want any future car that is not hybrid and had told them when the Sorento hybrid came out I was ready. Sure enough, they just sold me perhaps the first hybrid Sorento 2021 that came into Vermont and we love it. It was again the team of sales and finance that creatively put together a package to trade up from the Niro to the hybrid Sorento. Thank you for the best dealership!! Yet another update March 2021. Last year I was offered a preowned 2014 Sedona, a model I had owned in the past and liked. This one was a great deal and a good match for me to have something larger for lots of tasks but especially to throw wheelchairs in the back as one of us now needs one for traveling. Bought this cash and very happy. Recently, Tom Vally, the sale associate that has worked with us on 90% of our purchases approached me with a 2018 Sedona that had a lift in the back to pick up and bring in heavy electric wheelchairs. I had looked at those in the past and concluded the conversion cost was too high. This one had one inside already and had less than 800 miles total! Again the sales and finance folks (specifically Kyle Doherty) came though with a deal to get the money back I put in the 2014 for a trade to this specialized 2018. Thank you again Berlin City, you deserve great reviews!

We arrived to close at 8:00am on Saturday as we said we would and found none of the paperwork ready and we ended up sitting around for a full two hours to sign paperwork and get out of there with our new car. I can only write about the device Dept as I never got a car there. They are pretty awesome because they do state inspections for free. However if you actually get any work done on your vehicle, be aware that they have 0 follow up. They were supposed to call us when the cars were done and they never did. We dropped of my car first for inspection and oil change. We went home. They were supposed to call when it was done which was supposed to be 1030 but they never called. Finally a little after 11i just showed up and it wasn't done yet. 10-15 min later it was done and I left my husband's truck to get inspection. Again they never called. So we showed up a little after it was supposed to be done and it was. Ended up needing some work done. We left it to get fixed. Next day they never called to let us know it was done. I called around 2pm and was told it was done. They were supposed to call my husband (right away) to arrange payment and pick up, and by 3:30 still no call so he had to call them. It's fine if they can't call everyone all the time, but at least tell us that they may not be able to call and that we should be calling to check in. Other then that everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable too.

The affordability of the Kia and the creativity of our salesperson, Jim Adams, landed us in the sweet spot and we drove away with a very good deal on a new Sorento EX. A manufacturer-sourced miss-print on the reference sheet the dealership used to quote incentive program interest rates led them to offer a better deal than they should have, but Berlin City stepped up and discounted the sale further to make up the difference. UPDATED 9/22: Though we encountered some issues with the paperwork, service team and the exterior coating on the car, I have to give the General Manager Bostin a high five for resolving those issues. He ensured the appointed team members gave 110% to expedite the issues at hand, thank you to Art for getting the paperwork straightened out, the driver for picking my car up/returning it so I did not waste any more time at the dealership and to Bostin and Mike for making a trip to my house an hour or so away to inspect and fix the coating.

On 10/28/15 we took possession of our 2nd Kia Soul, but this was by no means a typical car buying experience. The car belongs to my son who has Asperger Syndrome. He spends most of his time in his room with headphones on to cope with it. He is 29 and hates leaving the house but is a very good driver. When I started having health issues and couldn't drive anymore he started taking me to all of my appointments and running errands and such. He only drives when he has to and hates going on the highway. His first two vehicles were family hand me downs which he hated because they had mechanical issues due to their age. When we could afford it we helped him buy a NEW car. He decided on a Kia Soul for all the right reasons, visibility, handling, safety features and reliability all very important because of his AS. We live in St. Johnsbury and he does great around town but refuses to go on the highway unless there is no back road he can use. This is where the extraordinary car buying experience we had with Berlin City Kia comes in. He decided a long time ago that his next car was also going to be a Kia Soul. At first he wasn't interested in trading the old one, until he saw the Caribbean Blue Kia in a commercial. He loved how it looked and said that was what he wanted. The only problem, it was a 2015 limited edition and the color was not being repeated for 2016. Finding a new left over limited edition with that color was going to be impossible I thought. I'm 63 and old school so when I wanted to buy a car I went to the dealer and drove half a dozen different ones, kicked the tires and spend 3 or 4 hours arguing with the salesman and then with his manager to get by best price. Well my son said let’s look online and see if we can find one. Well they had exactly what we wanted at Berlin City in Williston, VT. We do a live chat on the Berlin City site (imagine that) and verify it's still there and the live chat says a salesman will call. Next problem, he hates driving the highway remember. There is no way I'm getting him to drive to Burlington. This is where our hero comes in to save the day. Jim Adams, salesman of the year as far as I'm concerned.
