We loved buying a new Subaru Ascent SUV from Kyle Haskell. The process was easy and seamless. We realize it is a "seller's market" for car dealerships right. We were treated like our business was appreciated, not only from Kyle, but from all the staff. Having looked other places, I experienced being blown off and not taken seriously. That was better than being asked, "What does your husband think? What does he want? What does he do for a living?" (I initially shopped alone and I heard that from a different dealership.) Thank you Kyle, for a great experience!

My sales person was Peter and he was really great. We were there from 5:30 to almost 10 o’clock at night and he was able to have them lower my payment to what I wanted and still throw in my warranties and even some extra warranties I didn’t even ask for. He was very patient and made sure that everybody was on the same page. In the end, I ended up leaving with the car that night, and it was a great experience, and he was very helpful with the whole process, and he made sure that I left with exactly what I wanted and more. I had been to a couple other dealerships to look at cars and nobody was really wanting to bargain or work something out that was suitable for both parties and Peter at Larry H Miller Subaru made sure that everybody left happy. 10/10 would recommend buying your next car from any of the guys at Larry H Miller Subaru. They’re all pretty amazing.

I bought a used car from Peter at this dealership, they were so nice and Peter was so helpful in our search. I had to go back to get some spark plugs changed in the car and the service department paid for it completely since I had just bought the car a week prior. The service department was very nice and also very helpful as well. I appreciate everyone here they do a great job and check in to make sure their customers are doing well and satisfied. I am deleting a one star review and replacing it with a 5 star review. The Subaru service department has made a huge turnaround in coordination in the last few years. I was so impressed with my last visit that I wanted to update my opinion. Cory in the service department was great to work with. Was promptly organized and seemed very knowledgeable of the mechanics and warranty information on my vehicle. I was pleased with the quick turnaround on the service timeline. I enjoyed talking with Will as he drove me in the courtesy shuttle to my house.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but I am just so grateful and astounded by my experience with Larry Miller Subaru. The entire process of buying my first car was a breeze and so much less stressful than I could’ve ever imagined—even during this car/chip shortage (which had been very intimidating). Everyone who works there truly knows and values exceedingly AMAZING customer service. The salesman we worked with was Kris Klein, and no exaggeration, he was everything I wanted and more out of someone selling me my first car. He seriously makes you feel like a family friend rather than him just trying to sell you a car. He was friendly, honest, genuine, knowledgeable, more than helpful, and I never felt like he was coercing me into anything. I had to wait about a month for the right car to come in and during that time, Kris was transparent and kept in consistent communication with me. To be honest, I’d initially wanted to get a 4Runner from Toyota but they were completely out of inventory for a while. However, I’m genuinely so glad that I ended up coming to Larry Miller Subaru because I’m absolutely obsessed with my new Ascent. Like wow, my experience could not have been any more perfect and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Even with my far from perfect credit score, Kris and Kent (from the financial team—who was just as wonderful) were able to get me a shockingly great price and interest rate. The dealership itself is also very attractive and has so many great amenities including a dog lounge, dog park, and even a mini vegetable garden. How cool is that?! All in all, I would recommend anyone and everyone to get their next car or service with Larry Miller Subaru because they certainly found a customer for life. I don’t know that I could ever go astray again, ha! Thanks again, Kris, Kent, and Subaru team!

Overall start to finish it was a very smooth experience in simple words. Steve was our sales manager he was very responsive and helpful for the questions. He provided us constant updates of the vehicle once we booked it which was pretty good. Due to the current nationwide delays in getting goods to consumers, we ordered our Subaru several months ago. It was a pleasant, hassle free experience and the car was delivered within a week of when our salesman, Tim Levy, said it would be. I was traveling from Ontario, Oregon to Salt Lake City, when my check engine light came on. I stopped at a Subaru dealership in Nampa to ask for help. They wanted 170$ to assess the problem, and that it would take several hours. They did give me the number of the dealership in Boise and I got an appointment right away and drove there. They figured out that the cold weather had caused the issues and reset it for me. NO CHARGE! I highly recommend this business. I’ve loved my Subaru and have not had any problems with it, until this. I appreciated their quick service and not being charged for anything.

I came in for an oil change a couple days ago and was blown away by the service here. I live in Oregon but am in Boise for an extended time so this was my first time visiting this dealership. I thought I loved my Bend, Oregon dealership but holy cow Larry H Miller Subaru is in another league entirely. Everyone was so friendly and professional from the time I called in to see if I could make an appointment, (which I was told I could just come on in same day even though it was approaching 5pm and they got my car done in less than 45 minutes - I usually have to drop my car off in the morning and wait all day with a shuttle service in Oregon!!) the gal that came out and greeted me at my car when I arrived and got me checked in, and then Sam who went over everything with me, gave me great advice on what needed to be done and what could wait and followed up with me the next day to make sure I was taken care of! This dealership is clearly focused on providing top notch customer service - they truly went above and beyond! I will now only be getting my service done at this dealership lol customer for life!! Purchased a new Outback and was very pleased with the process, even though I had to wait two months. Had interaction with the new car sales manager Paul. I did not realize he was now the manager as I purchases two Subarus from him when he was a salesman 10 years ago. Nice to see he was able to move up. My sales guy Melvin was the best and very knowledgeable about the product. I highly recommend these two individuals! I cannot comment on the service department yet, but the sales team were great.

Bought my wife her Explorer from Larry H Miller Subaru and the transparency from the start was refreshing. I saw the shop records of what they did to recondition the vehicle and the carfax. I purchased a brand new WRX GT from Melvin at LHM Subaru and loved it. Melvin was great and even met me on his day off to make a deal; I commend him. He was also extremely patient and kind, a rare experience for young women at a dealership. The experience was professional, smooth, and respectful. In addition, the dealership was accommodating and extremely friendly throughout the purchase process. The dealer is limited on cars but can get you what you want through ordering or when they get new vehicles in. I was going to order a Crosstrek Sport but stumbled upon the WRX and bought it the next day. It's a perfect fit for me, and the Subaru drive is unmatched! I have to note this, Larry Miller was WILLING to work with me. Before visiting them, I got turned down at VW Boise and couldn't place an order on a car. Larry Miller was the opposite and was willing to do what it takes to make me a customer, and I appreciated this.

The service folks were also fantastic, getting all the work done within the week (it wasn’t minor work). This year has been incredibly tough for us, so the communication, flexibility, honesty, and integrity of the staff was more than appreciated, especially from Jason. Going to be a long review here likely. Short review is... I would 100% come back here. Long review is... I went to a few different car dealers before making my way in here. I wish I would of just went here first honestly. The only reason I didn't come here first was because of the distance from where I live. Honestly the people here are so friendly and inviting. I called them up and made an appointment to meet with Eric and test drive a Ascent. The first guy I ran into made sure I had a bottle of water and made sure to get me to the right person I was looking for. After that Eric and I went to look at the Ascent. Eric is very knowledgeable about the vehicles and the dealership side of things in general. He was willing to answer my numerous questions and had a great attitude about everything. I had already spoke with my husband before hand about the finances before coming and we decided that we only wanted to go through our credit lender. So after all the looking and questions I told Eric that the only way we were going to get the car is if we went through our lender and we didn't want to even try to get approval from anywhere else. Without hesitation he said okay. No questioning or trying to persuade me to do something else. Which really threw me off because in the past when we went to a dealership they went against our wishes and we ended up with another lender, tons of dings on our credit etc. I explained that to him about the other dealership and he said that it wouldn't be a problem. He did say at that point that he could likely get me a better deal but he would respect my wishes and he left it at that. I put a reserve on a new Ascent coming in. Over the next few weeks Eric kept in touch keeping me updated with the progress of the build. It ended up coming in a week earlier which was great! We ended up going in the next day to get it. Right off the bat before we started anything Eric let us know that the car had gotten dinged on the way to the dealership and that they would schedule to have it fixed for me. They could of not told me about it and I may of or may not of seen it. The point is they were honest up front and didn't let me leave without knowing and having a plan to fix it. Eric took us around the car for a final look and test drive. We then were offered more waters and started on the papers. We got shown around and walked through where to go if I need to go to the shop for oil changes etc. I have lots of questions always haha very thankful that nobody seemed to mind the numerous questions. We were gifted some nice coffee cups also. I was so excited about the new car that I jumped ahead of the process and created a Subaru account that Sat night. I guess the car didn't process in the system by then so I messed up the sequence of getting the Starlink set up. However Eric was on it and got it fixed for me and he had a cheerful attitude the whole process. I enjoyed shopping here and I would come back here. Thank you all at Larry H. Miller Subaru Boise for the exceptional experience of getting my first Subaru!

I went to the LH Miller dealership last week and discussed my window opening/closing problem with a service rep. She told me she thought the problem was in the window lifting mechanism. She made an appointment for me to return to the dealer for the repair and quoted an estimate of $180 to complete the work. I drove my car to the dealership for the repair today and checked the car in. After waiting a little over an hour the service rep who checked me in (not the Rep who made the appointment) said that the part needed to complete the repair - the same part I was told when made the repair appointment - was not in stock and I would need to make another repair appointment and come to the dealer again. In addition, the service rep told me the estimated repair cost would be $260. I would have thought if LH Miller had scheduled an appointment for a specific service they would have also made sure the part needed for the repair would be available when the customer arrived for the specified repair. Also that the repair estimate initially given to me when the appointment for service was made would not have been off by 44%. All the LH Miller people were perfectly polite but I told them no thank you to another appointment. I’ll find my Crosstrek service at another garage. In addition in looking on blogs and talking to a private Subaru specialty garage, I’ve learned that the proposed LH Miller repair might not have cleared the problem in any event. In most cases, solving my problem is usually achieved by simply manipulating the window up/down switch in a specific pattern. And this process is even required when for example the battery is disconnected for a change out. The switch manipulation method is even addressed in the car manual. My bad for not looking it up. And LH Miller’s Service Department’s bad for not knowing that and recommending I try that first.

Just an incredible experience. After testing the waters over at the Subaru dealership to the west, Larry Miller is an absolute breath of fresh air. We showed up day one looking to learn about Subaru’s and what makes them great. Eric took time out of his afternoon (knowing he wasn’t going to sell us a car) to show us different makes and models and explain to us the in’s and out’s of a Subaru. We were SOLD. From there, Steve Pritchett got in touch with us. A masterclass in hospitality, friendship and acceptance. Steve rode with us on our first drive. We went out west of Boise to check out the dealership, and what started as a good experience was spoiled when we sat down to talk execution. Like a sign from God, I missed a call from Steve at Larry Miller while sitting down and immediately called him back upon departure. We bee-lined it straight to LM. Arrived at LM shortly thereafter and Steve showed us the lot. We sat down to look at the inventory and were torn between new and used. Ayden, the Business Manager, came to have a chat and shared his relative perspective on our options. We left that day knowing which vehicle we wanted to purchase. Told Steve that night we were ready to set an appointment two days later. We showed up and hung out with Steve on purchase day. He encouraged us to test drive the new whip. We did, and it was the one. Went through the process with Steve and enjoyed hanging out, being welcomed by all of the staff and feeling at home there at LM Subaru. We closed with Ron, who himself was a class act and very relatable guy. Made us comfortable through the closing process, as I guess he’s supposed to do, but it felt genuine. Talked basketball and football and adventures with the squad. They are down to earth and do not pressure you to buy a car. They are there to help support you through the big decision. Fair and accommodating. If you’re buying a Subaru in the valley, there’s no other choice but LM Subaru. Can’t wait to take our outback into the mountains!

LHM has treated me very well. I bought my ‘17 Legacy at a different local dealership; however, not long after, the key kept getting stuck and ignition would not turn off. The dealership I bought it from couldn’t figure it out; so, I took it here. As soon as I explained the issue to the kind woman who answered the phone, she knew exactly what I was talking about as it is a common issue with Subaru’s. When I asked how much to fix, she said “no charge” as Subaru was expected to issue a recall (they did about 9 mos after I had it fixed). Recently, I went in for another oil change and said to rotate the tires. When it came time to pay, the lady said the tires were all at the same tread and didn’t need it. So, instead of doing/charging me for something I didn’t need, they were honest and saved me $20. Update: I recently went in for some maintenance on my Legacy and the Advisor said their system was down, so he dropped the price about $100. I knew there'd be a wait, but 1.5 hrs later when the car was done, the Advisor dropped the price about another $50 because he thought the wait was too long.

I'm late in writing this review, we leased a new Crosstrek at the end of June and absolutely love it. The whole process was as pain free as it could be, and our salesman Peter Webster was ah-mazing! We walked in knowing what car we wanted and he happened to have the same one so he knew all the ins and outs of it. They don't work on commission so there was no pressure to buy that day, but it happened to work out that we drove off the lot in the car! Not only that but he was a champ at dealing with our endless questions, and getting the absolute best price possible for us. A couple weeks later my visor broke and I told Peter about it and he said to bring it in and they'd replace it, and when I walked in he immediately remembered me and stopped what he was doing to help me out. Long story short, the service there is amazing. We had gone to a different local dealer a couple years ago and the service there was horrible so we were a little hesitant to go to another one but we are so glad we did! Thanks again Peter (seriously, give him a raise or something ;) ) and LM Subaru!

Finance process was easy to get through as well and Kent got me a great rate from a local credit union. I'd definitely look to LHM Subaru to purchase a new car in the future. Minus one star because you should use their service department at your own risk. Overpriced service prices, but that's par for the course for dealers so you know what to expect there. However, I paid $8000 for a new transmission and they installed a broken one in there and no one test drove it so it went unnoticed until I picked up my car and drove it around the parking lot. Still better than Treasure Valley Subaru, though.

It was the best customer experience we ever had with buying a new car! Brett explained everything about the car to us, and updated us weekly as to when the car would be arriving. Ron in finance also made the paperwork signing experience very stress free, and gave us the documents in electronic form. This made it very easy to send the information to our insurance company. I don't do a lot of reviews but the staff I dealt with today was awesome, so I wanted to say something. I went in for my airbag recall. It was going to take around 1-2 hours . I got lost when I pulled in and the techs in the back were just really nice about getting me to where I needed to go. When I pulled in the staff was super friendly, the person handling my car, Chris, was super polite and professional, and the entire process took maybe 30 minutes. That's including Chris going for a ride in my car so he could listen to my transmission for me. I'm just all around really impressed with everybody I dealt with.

Okay, the people at Larry Miller subaru are great. Every sales person we dealt with was great. My problem is with the service department. They said the went over everything, however we didn't even make it home from the dealer without problems. There were multiple screws missing underneath the front end. Something was dragging on the ground. It was late and the service department was now closed. So we were on our own. Buying a car is supposed to be a good experience, but we had to drive 45 mph on the freeway in an 80 mph zone. I was stressed out by the time we got home. I do not believe that the service department went over everything and didn't see pieces of metal hanging underneath. So therefore I'm a little disappointed in that. Erik, and Kyle were great!

We were able to talk on the phone and in the dealership with no pressure with the pricing upfront and a fair an honest appraisal of my trade. The vehicle I wanted was still in transit to the dealership so I put down a deposit online. When the vehicle came in they serviced and polished my new car and had it parked out frt when I arrived. The paperwork was done in a reasonable amount of time and everyone was very friendly. I would most certainly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car.

Okay so I have to share- why because this company pulled out the bells and whistles for me- after purchasing Betty on Saturday we noticed my headlights had condensation in them most like from the powerwash the engine received. Contacted Larry Miller Subaru after experiencing an extremely frustrating month long drawn out situation with Treasure Valley Subaru’s poor customer service. I’m so grateful that when I called LMS Keith answered. I explained I was in need of excellent customer service and needed issues to be resolved. He did not disappoint. Keith scheduled me in right away. When I took my car in, complete diagnostics were done on my car without charge. TVS charged me $160 for diagnostics after I had asked them to look at the issue during an oil change. They didn’t even look at it during the oil change and I had to make a separate appointment for diagnostics to be completed. They strung me out for a month. Never calling me with updates on the delays and the story was always changing. As it turns out, what I had been told was the issue wasn’t even the issue at all. It was also discovered my rear brakes were shot, which TVS kept saying they were fine even though I could feel they were worn down. Worn down to the rotor to be exact. I was also informed that things I had been quoted for needing to be repaired/replaced didn’t actually need done at all. To my surprise, within one day, one day I had the diagnostics completed AND they fixed all the issues. I had previously done business with LMS but started going to TVS because it was less of a commute. Lesson learned! I will NEVER, NEVER do business with them again. The drive to Boise is worth the time, gas, and decrease in frustration. -Hailey Skelton

Let me first start by stating that this is a REAL review. I am not an employee of LHM and I am not affiliated with the LHM organization other than being a very happy customer. Here are just the facts: 1. Don Coatsworth and his team are fantastic! I have been working with Don and his team for ~15 years and two cars. I used to question my decision to continue to bring my (out of warranty car(s) to Don but after my last experience, I totally see the value of doing so and will keep on bringing my cars for years to come. 2. Many think that dealership service departments are overpriced and are going to sell you services that are not needed. This is not the case with Don’s Service Department. In fact, when you read the fine print and compare quotes, if another shop is less expensive, they are omitting some part of the statement of work. I trust Don and his team and they prove themselves year over year! 3. By taking my car to only Don and team work on, he was able to have a very expensive repair covered by Subaru, even though the car was out of warranty. 4. Don and Team take the time to treat people with respect and they take ownership of issues if they arise. So to Subaru of America and to the LHM Leadership, pay attention to what Don Coatsworth and his team are doing because he lives and breathes what excellent customer service should be for any company!

I kept going to different dealerships trying to find someone who was honest about the condition of a car I was purchasing and I was continuously lied to…until I got to Larry H Miller subaru Boise. I’m a single mom of three and openly share this because I want people to know I have to have a safe vehicle for my kids. It’s got to fit three car seats. This is the only dealership that I dealt with that was completely honest with me. The condition of the vehicle when I left was such that it’s not going to need major repairs as soon as my signature is on that “as it” paperwork. A lot of the car dealerships around here right now are selling vehicles that need repairs, at the price of a vehicle that does not need repairs. I noticed the same vehicle as the one I purchased from here for $1000-$2000 cheaper at a smaller lot, but I can guarantee you it had not had the work done that this did and would need $3000 as soon as I drove it off the lot of another place. The cars they sell here are thoroughly inspected. It’s almost guaranteed that you’re not gonna get a lemon. When the car I purchased had an issue after I left the lot, they fixed it free of charge. Do not go to the smaller dealerships that are shady when you ask for their mechanic’s report on the vehicle you’re test driving. Go to a place like this that is transparent and upfront from the beginning. I worked with Joe and had a wonderful experience.

We were looking for a new Outback and had been to another dealer a little closer to home. They did not have the model that we were interested in and there was lot of pressure and people brought in to close the deal right then and there, price also seemed a little high so we walked. We then went to Larry H Miller Subaru. They made us feel very comfortable, no pressure, offered us water / soda, the price was less than the first dealer. They also did not have the model on the lot but went to work right away to locate one. With not much more than a handshake we closed the deal and within a little more than a week we had the car. Through the whole process, until we were signing the papers, the only person that we dealt with was our salesman, Eric, there was not a parade of other sales associates or managers with pressure to close the deal. This was the first dealership I have gone to where I didn't feel pressured and that actually seemed to care if I was happy or not without the fake-nice salesperson technique that I find condescending. On two occasions I've brought my '18 Outback to this location, and both times they have been the definition of professional, prompt, and helpful. First I utilized their express lane to have my alignment checked before installing new tires elsewhere. They check the alignment for free, gave me a print out of the results and confirmed my choice in tire. The second time was the moment that ensured I will be a customer of this location exclusively going forward. After having trouble starting my car followed by warning lights covering the dash I arrived 15 minutes before close. Sam, a former tech, now working at one of the desks, came out with a code reader to check the issue. A long list of codes came up and without hesitation he put us in a loaner car, at no charge to us, and put our car in the shop first thing in the morning the next day. The following morning he reached out about the issue through text right when he said we could expect contact. We discussed the issue, which turned out to be less severe than originally thought. I also expressed concern about another potential issue with the car, which they looked at and repaired under warranty. All before 1pm the following day. Sam and Larry H. Miller Subaru were all the things you'd hope for in any business interaction, honest, communicative, timely, affordable, and all done with a high level of quality. Thank you Sam and Larry H.
