I would highly highly highly recommend going to see the team at Jim Burke Hyundai. The managers and staff were very professional and helped me get exactly what I wanted and for the price I could afford. Christian walked me through the entire vehicle and made sure I knew what each button did and how it all worked. He helped me with blue link as well. He was very respectful and very quick to respond to any questions I had during the whole process. Andrew then walked me through the entire financial side and wasn’t to pushy and explained what I was getting and what each warranty covered. I have been on several other dealerships even have 3 that are closer to where I’m from and I’d make the drive to Jim Burke every time because of the staff and how respectful they are. This was my first car buying process and I was very nervous and stressed but Christian assured me he’d take care of it and that’s exactly what he did. They did a good job being responsive. The price was fair given the environment with car shortages . The vehicle meets expectations though the advertised gas mileage is about 5 mpg too high on the sticker. The staff was professional and nice but did not come across as personable. They seemed more attentive to the process of closing a sale than the me the customer. That’s fair since this is how they are paid.

Did not like the atmosphere. I guess I was at the wrong location. Made appointment went in and was not in the system even though my first old change was done at that location. The second oil change I was informed that the battery cable was corroded and it cost $59 to correct.! Never heard of this happening with only 15 thousand miles . Make me question the quality of this product. Seriously question. Beautiful and expensive. But could have to spend hundreds to keep things running in top performance at each oil change . Smh

very friendly and personable. However, I was just there to get a new battery put in my car. I had called in advance and had gotten the price (which was $50 lower than the Hyundai dealership across town), so I decided to give Jim Burke service a try. Unfortunately the wait time was just as long as I had experienced across town for a similar service; several hours.
Yes, they were busy, but they told me the earlier I came the better it would be. That wasn’t true.
I waited much longer than people who came in after me. And the total cost? $467! For a battery! And it only has a 3 year warranty on it! (Which is about how long the one I had in it lasted). Plus they wanted to do
a 30,000 mile checkup on my car; for $649! That’s why I only had the initial one done by Hyundai; they charged me a ridiculous price to check some cables basically.The oil change places do all that stuff for free; tell you what filters to change, when you need tires, etc. Hyundai has seen the last of me. Do I like my car? I love it! But even if I could afford to pay their outrageous parts and service prices, I wouldn’t! Let
them find some other sucker🤨

Easy and great experience. It did take 5+ hours to complete my purchase which was a little tedious. Glad we asked if there was time for us to go to lunch while we waited for the car to be cleaned because we got there at 1pm and didn't get the keys to leave until 6pm. And that's with going in knowing what I wanted and only test driving 1 car for 10 minutes. Since I went in knowing what I wanted, I can't speak on the sales persons car expertise. I did like their special Jim Burke perks that come with the purchase of the car.

This was honestly the best experience I have had with a dealership.
First, like most dealerships you get a warm greeting and all the pleasantries of being a potential buyer. This is where my experience usually changes. Usually after the salesperson talks to me, and I tell them my wants then start the negotiations it all changes. This did not happen at all. The sales people Adrienne and Chris were friendly and helpful. They seemed to genuinely care. The financial personal Timberley was very warm and tried to relate to my country roots. There was another lady there that helped me and got the car I wanted and worked out the financial part. I unfortunately forgot her name. She was awesome as well and got me exactly what I wanted!

Overall, my experience at this location was mediocre at best. First, I was told that it would take 48 hours before the technician could even look at my vehicle and additional time on top of that to actually fix the issue. In addition, the service advisor did not fully explain to me the flat $150 fee that is charged regardless of service even though I asked for an explanation. Also, the sales technician repeatedly asked me to add on additional services even after I told him that I did not want these services. Finally, upon receiving my vehicle after the simple issue was fixed, I discovered my car console to have been completely dumped out into my passenger seat, even though there was nothing relevant to the dealership or technician inside of the console. This was not necessary in order to fix the vehicle. The only reason I am giving this review 3 stars is because my vehicle was ready ahead of schedule.

We worked with Glenn, who was very helpful and eager to please. Even in today's market conditions they were willing to work on the price to be competitive and earn our business. We ultimately did not buy the car from them (purchased from another dealership), but Glenn and Jim Burke were better to deal with than the vast majority of the 15 or so other dealerships that I communicated with over two days of research, offers, and negotiating. Most others would not budge (on price), leaning on "current market conditions." Kudos to Jim Burke Hyundai and to Glenn for working with us and for doing a nice job for their customers. I would not hesitate to shop here again, and will do so in the future. I can't say that for many other dealerships I spoke to during this process.

Wonderful personalized service received on Saturday, May 29th.
Broke down on highway on Friday night. Spoke with A J Allen in the service department and was told if I got the car there early on Saturday they would do everything possible to get me back on the road to Texas. A J was there on Saturday morning and was able to diagnose and fix the issue. He kept me updated throughout the morning and had me back up and running by 11:00.

My experience with Jim Burke Body Shop was a pleasant one - from the initial phone call, through the claim/repair process, and finally to pick-up. At the front desk, Ashley handled my reception with the utmost courtesy and customer service. Josh, the assistant manager was equally professional and the one who handled my claim and kept me up to date on the status and dealt with the insurance company on my behalf. Finally, on pick-up, I found my car waiting for me, freshly cleaned - inside and out. The body shop is a Hyundai preferred repair center and I would recommend them to my fellow Hyundai drivers.

I assume everything was done correctly, oil change and tire rotation. I arrived at 3:06 for my 3:00 appointment. ( I did say I would be there by 3:15 when I scheduled). It was 5:04 when I left. That was a long time to service my vehicle, especially when having an appointment.

The cost factor is important, because quite frankly, money doesn't grow on trees. They also give you an estimation on the length of time involved in completing the setvice. Yesterday, I took my Outback in because there was a nail in my tire. I have the extra coverage warranty , so even though it wasn’t covered by the tire warranty, they repaired it ( not just plugging) at no charge ! What a refreshing thing ! We had an appointment at 3:30 to sign all paperwork and made that appointment the day before, and still did not get out of the dealership till after 5:30. To top it off we had to even wait because it was not detailed yet.

Because of their downtown location the service entrance leaves you backed up sitting in the street in your car when they're busy. That can't be helped. I was in for my first scheduled service for my new Outback. The gentleman who checked me in said it would take an hour and a half to two hours. That seemed excessive for an oil change and tire rotation but I had carved out the time. It did indeed take the full two hours. I guess i'm spoiled by the quick speed of my local oil change store. Next time I will call ahead and ask for an appointment at a time when they're slower. Otherwise no issues. Wireless was good and there was a cooler with water and a counter with coffee.

Overall experience was good, we had hit something unseen on I-65 N and blew out a front passenger tire. My car has high performance tires and not common sizes and front and rear are different sizes, The dealership was able to locate the appropriate sized tires. When I returned to pick up the car I was surprised by being told that they had done a oil change on the car.. claimed it was due... I have used a specific full synthetic oil in this car since it has 1200 miles on it and now the bill from the dealership was not clear as to what oil is in the engine.. By factory requirements.. it had abt 1800 more miles before it needed to be changed. IF they would have asked me - they had my cell phone - and they had the oil that I use.. I would have been glad to authorize the oil change.

My experience has been that the advisor goes over the work performed, asks for qustions, then points the way to the cashier. I went to test drive a Hyundai Santa Fe' two days ago. This is not my first Hyundai since reinventing itself and blowing our minds. Needless to say I purchased what is now my 5th Hyundai. However, i'm here to brag on the man who walked my husband and I through this entire process in this humid Alabama weather. Initially, I came in to take advantage of the $50 GIFT CARD that Hyundai was offering for simply test driving its vehicles, but I also knew that I would potentially be driving off the lot with something new as well. Brandon Blagg was awesome from the gate. He stood and walked over to me, invited me to his desk, and inquired concerning my business. A few questions later, a copy of my license, and "BAM" we were test driving a base model Santa Fe.' One would think that this guy designed these vehicle with his level of knowledge concerning them. Recalling that I have own several vehicles in my lifetime, it is feasible to understand that we have dealt with our share of sales consultants. This is by far the first person who not only informed us of what we would potentially enjoy about the vehicle, but patiently explained in detail its benefits, and demonstrated to us its functionality. He took a base model vehicle and literally painted a picture that lifted it beyond it's level. He hung out with us for over an hour doing comparisons and contrasts. He was honest concerning pro and cons, but never negative.. not one time. For him every vehicle had its benefits, and for every person there was vehicle that fit them. THIS IS WHAT HE DID! He didn't interfere with our choice, but he made sure that we would be satisfied once we left the lot for good. In the end we ended up purchasing a Santa Fe' SEL 2.4 engine with both the Convenience and Premium Package. He didn't use a hustler tactic to cause us to go for a higher grade, it was simply his transparency and patience that ultimately led to our selection. Recalling that this was in 90 + degree weather, this man didn't stop until the tires shined. He made me laugh, shared stories, explained who was whom of the CEO vs. COO, and also wasn't shy around me whatsoever. He even blew bubble gum bubbles for our delightful 6 year old who stood amazed at the excellence his gum blowing abilities. Brandon Blagg, job well done. You deserve all that's coming for your hard work and dedication to service. Aside from our direct experience with Brandon, everyone rocked. Their pleasantness was superb, two of the women conversed with me, they offered treats to my babies, and others smiled and waved. There wasn't a rude attitude in the building. The lobby and bathrooms are well designed and clean. As lengthly a process that car buying could be, they have enough going for themselves to make you relax and enjoy your time.

Jim Burke is by far the best Hyundai dealer in Birmingham they found problems that the other dealers could not find. One thing I was a little disappointed in though was not detecting a massive hole in my air intake on the first visit, which seems like it should have been easily detected it was only discovered when I brought the car back the next day because it still wasn’t running right but they went out of their way to helpful our service writer Eddie Hicks was a class act and seemed like he genuinely cared

Good and quick service only downside the “free” oil change depends on maintenance done based on dealerships recommendations on the maintenance needed to be done. If you decline the recommendation oil change is no longer free. It’s kinda annoying not everyone has 600$ to pay for a 90k maintenance and the technician was not clear on what included that service at 90k miles.

We traded in our vehicle about a week ago and purchased a certified Sonata. Not to say we were screwed over, but the entire experience felt shady. The salesman knew nothing about the car itself other than the price and the carfax. During the test drive we asked about features and got shrugs. This place also takes its sweet time to process a sale. We arrived at 10 that morning and didn't leave until nearly 5 in the afternoon. Expect a whole day ordeal. Also, make sure you know what your car is worth to the dime before attempting to trade. They will not give you anywhere near what your car is worth.

Is an okay place to take cars to get service. I just don't believe that the oil changes are free. And when the cars need service is way too expensive. Like for a 30k mile service is $550 plus tax?? That is a little much. And to do a small additive and balance and rotate tires is almost $300? Wow too high. But you get warranty with the job. I think I'm not sure. But over all nice customer service. They need to offer a car wash and vaccum cars. Like Mazda Serra does in Trussville.

I can't say enough about the awesome staff in the Jim Burke Hyundai Service Department. Rusty, the Hyundai Service Department manager, has been very attentive to my automotive needs. When there was a way to hold the manufacturer's accountable for repairs associated with their recall, this service manager had no problem going to bat for me. Although my first impression of this establishment was not a good one due to lack of communication, my final impression is the one that REALLY COUNTS! I feel so blessed that these were the guys: Rusty, Eddie and Justin that tended to my 2013 Hyundai Sonata and me when my car just STOPPED RUNNING on the interstate. It took about a month to get my car fixed right, but they have stuck it out. I am proud to say that my blue-silver streak and I are on the road again tearing up the highway!!!
