Service Dept - I took my car (Chevy Malibu) in for oil change and tire rotation and received the all clear on everything else. I informed the service tech that my service engine light was coming on and he said it would cost $175 for them to look into it. When they finished the oil change they said I needed two new air filters, I purchased them and left. Well my car wasn't doing the programmed Auto Stop and I thought it was due to needing an oil change. I took it to a well-known franchise service shop and they advised my battery was putting out less than half of what it should have. My question is, why didn't the service department catch this if they gave the all clear on the battery. I was very disappointed because I thought I would be able to trust the Chevy service department more than the local run of the mill tire, break and lube shop.

Everyone there was kind but it felt like there was no urgency to take care of service. I had to nag the service department to start working on my car after finding out they hadn’t even look my car despite having an appointment that morning. It even felt like I was forgotten after waiting 15 minutes to have my car dropped off to me. I’m hoping they at least fixed my car properly but I think I’ll try a different place next time.

I really appreciate the service I have received from Edwards over the years, usually a job well done. About a month ago, brought my new 2022 2500 Duramax in due to low battery, which became a bad battery. Dealer promptly replaced and also performed recall on the front camera. Over the next couple of days I realized my Auto Dimming Headlights failed to work, nor did anything else involved with the camera, that was part of a recall. I called dealer where they had no problem with, “bring it back in and we will take care of this problem.” When it is an 80 mile round trip with fuel at $4.75 per gal, on my off day, and wait 2.5 hours, for our tech to look into, to fix the problem that we caused, and didn’t verify. Now this is the problem. Why was this recall fix not verified good on first visit? It was definitely checked before leaving on the second visit. This cost me $25 in fuel alone, plus my time. Do we just write this off? Not real happy with Edward’s right now.

George was very attentive, first understanding our needs, then worked us through the entire process, ensuring that although we moved to different people for components of the purchasing process, maintained close contact reassuring us that we were his customers and available. Gus was very impressive as well. George made sure we were comfortable with Gus, who as a newer sales representative was shadowing George, assisting him with us. I noticed that George gave Gus opportunities to lead discussions, yet remained nearby, just in case we had any questions that he might not be comfortable fielding. I am not surprised it’s one of the twenty oldest dealerships in the U.S.! Excellence begets longevity and success! Great experience!

Three questions are not enough to give an accurate review of this dealership. I bought my 2017 Chevrolet Impala 4 years ago and the salesman and staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. While the dealership, did do great service the first few times I took for an oil change, the last 3 times were not. I had appointments for all oil changes and was waiting at least 2 hours each time. My last appointment was at 9:30 and I didn't walk out of there until 12:15....for only an oil change. I don't believe I will be going back there for any future oil changes.

I thought about the purchase, and after a few days had passed I returned and negotiated a trade-in and a final sale price. The repair work done by the dealership seems to be fine. It took longer than I would have liked, since they are backed up 3 - 5 days. The service writer was personable and contacted me and kept me informed. My main complaint is with Chevrolet. My Silverado 5.3 engine has a known defect, lifter failure. Per Chevrolet direction, Edwards Chevrolet only repaired one side of the engine. I requested they repair both sides, but they wouldn't do it. Now, I feel I am driving a ticking time bomb waiting for the other side to fail, leaving me stranded somewhere, and will be without my truck for another week. Chevrolet should recall these engines and fix the problem. Engine failure at 10,000 miles is unacceptable.

I ran into some scary issues with my new 2021 Tahoe while on the road. I called the service department in a bit of panic. Tonya answered the phone and quickly put my worries at ease. She walked me through what happening and assured me she would do everything possible to get my car into the shop safely, as well as get a loaner for me. Even with the low car inventory, she was able to provide a loaner car and communicated the details of what I could expect regarding timeline. The checkout process was also lovely. Tonya was once again so helpful and the ladies who checked me out were superb.

I don't believe they rotated my tires. As I was told, my tires would be rotated as part of the service package. In addition, my previous billing statements showed a zero balance. But, the billing statement for this particular service showed a balance of about $65. I asked the cashier at the service desk and was told that the service was free although it showed a $65 balance. I told the cashier that I did not have any money and she repeated that the service was free even though it showed a balance owed.

Be sure to make an appointment, or all drive ups get slotted after those making appointments beginning at 7 am when the door opens. Waiting area was clean and decent. Pricing for service may be higher than your local wrench-turner.
