Tad and his team in the service department are awesome! My AC decided to go out on my way from Idaho to Iowa and they were the only Nissan dealer around on a 96 degree day. They were so accommodating in getting us in and out as fast as possible and did a great job with repairs. Their waiting area is great and were so gracious to allow my dog in (he was hot without the AC!) and utilize their shuttle service from the hotel as we weren't from the area. Will forever be grateful for their customer service!

Had been thinking about buying a new or used vehicle, soon after entering the lot our salesperson (Hans) approached us and asked how he could help. We test drove a couple cars but the lot was about to close so had to come back the next day. Hans was in touch most of the day updating us on his availability, making sure when we got there he would be able to help us without a wait. Bought a car that day, super happy so far!

Tim is the best salesman I have dealt with, he gets 5 stars. However, be careful with their finance manager, as other reviews have suggested. He is very pushy and doesn't want to take no as an answer for extended service contracts. The service department wanted almost $100 to replace a blown fuse and charged me almost $70 to tell me it was blown. Make sure you clarify what you will be charged for and what will be considered warranty work at this dealership!

This was my first experience with Nissan in Billings. Prior to this I was servicing my vehicle at the Nissan in Rapid City SD and the service there was always outstanding and fairly quick, which made me loyal to Nissan.
I took my Nissan Quest in for the oil change that I had scheduled with service department about a week in advance for 8am on the week day. (Would be nice if they were open on Saturdays). Thinking that I only lose about an Hour of my work day, which is normal for the travel, oil change and 21 point inspection, I ended up getting my keys back at about 10:10 am. Over two hours for a scheduled oil change? That seems a bit too long. So I ended up losing 2.5 hour of my work day for a $29 oil change. (The price is good) So now I will think twice, should I go back for the next oil change or just stop by the quick lube and get it done in 10 minutes on my way to work?
Oh yes, my guess, I am not going to get my free oil change next time since I just can't leave a 5 star rating on google.
Forgot to mention, I was given a free car wash and was asked to give a 5 star rating on Google verbally and in the form of "important" poster in exchange for a free oil change. Next day I received a call from service department with questions about the service and another reminder to give them 5 stars on Google for a Free oil change.
To me, that is not an honest way to get an outstanding rating. That is more like buying stars. The right way to do so is to provide outstanding and timely service to the customers to earn their respect and then just remind them to rate you but not ask them to put 5 stars without even asking how the service was.

Absolute top-notch and honest service! Our son’s 2017 Nissan Rogue was misdiagnosed by another auto service here in Billings, so we thought it needed a whole new transmission. I did some research and realized it would be under warranty. We took it to Nissan where we were greeted with friendly and knowledgeable technicians. It was under warranty, but only needed a part of the transmission (under $400, as compared to the $6,000 quoted by the other place). This is the second time I have brought my vehicle to Denny Menholt Nissan for maintenance and again, I was not disappointed at all. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My vehicle was serviced professionally and quickly. I was able to wait in the lobby, which is very nice and comfortable. I was looked after and offered water and coffee by a very nice lady there. Kevin Kavanaugh checked in my vehicle and took care of things, and he was very pleasant to deal with. I love the little perks too, like a car wash after each vehicle service. The price was fair and nothing was done that I did not ask them to do. This is the only place I will bring my vehicle to be serviced.

A big thank you to Menholt Nissan. Was passing through on a road trip when my power steering fluid started leaking. They got me in first thing and took a look. Had a busted steering tube cylinder, but part was going to take 2-3 days. They were able to get me patched up well enough to get on home, flushed the system, and didn’t charge me to take a look. Good guys—wished I live closer to Billings to give them more service.

We were greeted at the door and Tim was called to help us. We were offered coffee and a doughnut. We didn’t take the doughnut because we just had breakfast. Then we went over material and signed papers at Tim’s desk. He was very nice, friendly and patient. We aren’t the easiest customers to deal with. Then we went to the finance department and went through a lot more papers. This was Greek to us as we never buy extra warranty. We have been lucky and never needed it. This guy was also very nice and patient. Then Tim showed us the rest of the building such as service, parts, restrooms etc.then my husband got to drive his new truck home. It is really nice. A lot of equipment we have never had. I just hope we can learn to operate it.

It was helpful that you let me drop my car off early. I was disappointed that you initially could not find my appointment and that no one notified me when my car was done. They told me I needed a new cabin air filter ,upon getting home I check my records and saw where they replaced it in February . My wife called and asked to talk to a supervisor. She asked why we needed one ,they should have checked their records and saw when THEY did it last. She was told by him, NOT A BIG DEAL. We think it is when they want to charge $80 to replace something that shouldn't need replacement. After this visit I will never come back there again.

My wife and I bought our 2014 Nissan Versa there. We love our car and we enjoyed working with one of their previous employee's to get it. She was friendly and helped us by all means necessary. Also to those who left bad reviews, some of you should know by not that batteries are wear and tear. Plus diagnostics aren't always run correctly, they do occasionally get new hires. If you don't tell the mechanics to look at it, it won't be looked at.

I am not from North Dakota. I was traveling from Washington State to my home in Virginia, when I heard a clicking sound under the hood while driving. I pulled into the Menholt Nissan, trusting they would determine what was making this sound. They did, and it was only a flapping piece of plastic that was loose. They did a test drive and inspection. I was very pleased with the fairness shown in the hours charged. I would recommend this dealership to anyone desiring quality service, with a fair price tag.

Price for oil change was extremely reasonable. Cabin air filter was a little pricey but worth it since it's not the easiest task compared to the engine air filter. Once service was complete they also pressure washed the vehicle. My Titan was extremely happy for the shower!

I'm not sure what has happened in the last couple of years there but things have gone down hill a bit. If you notice the good reviews, they were from several years ago and the most recent ones are bad and I think that's very telling. When Eddie was in charge, I trusted them completely. I received the best customer service, they always tried to save me money when possible and I never worried. The last two years have completely changed. On one service trip they told me that my vehicle was going to need $850 worth of repairs. When we finally saved up the money to go in, they did a diagnostic on it and said everything looked great! Nothing was wrong. If we had the money that original day, we may have been out $850. This month I took it in for a recall and some other work. Two weeks later my car dies and I had to walk home. When I came back to get it jumped and opened up the hood, the battery was so nasty. I hadn't thought to check that since two weeks ago it was supposedly looked at. Obviously not. Not sure whats going on in the company, but it has changed and I'm not sure I will be their customer for life at this rate.

My car whines in lower gears and they said it wasn't an issue but it hasn't always done that. To top it off they didn't put a pin back on the oil filter cover and it is now messing with the right tire when steering.

The finance part went quickly and smoothly (it helps to pay cash); however, the cleaning of the car took over a hour and we ended up waiting on that. Also, they put gas in the car but did not fill it up. If you're going to go through the hassle of putting gas in, let the buyers go home with a full tank. It would do a lot for your reputation.

We first seen a Nissan we wanted online browsing and when we was out for lunch one afternoon we decided to see it in person so we came down to Nissan. While looking at the vehicle no one came out at that moment, and I get it, its close to lunch and everyone was probably busy, so we left and just called to talk about it first. Who ever we left message with on the phone got the message to Tim and within the same hour he was calling us back with all the info we was needing, told him we will make it down by the end of the day. When we get there timing must have been perfect cause Tim was outside and awaiting our arrival with an inviting welcome and went and got keys to get us a test drive. Well we fell in love with it was gonna be a perfect fit for what we needed. Well the banks didn't agree we needed it. So we felt defeated. Told Tim when we left let us know if he finds anything that will work. Well Wow he did. He went above and beyond, kept in contact and within a day he found something for my wife and had us come back down there for another look. Well he picked out a 2019 Armada and made sure it fit within what we was asking for, like how many seats, price and financing that fit within what we could afford, and well he hit the nail on the head with it and the wife was happy. Well Tim didn't stop there i asked him about a truck I liked and he got me into a 2018 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve and I couldn't be more happier.
