Great service department, appointment times make a difference. Oil change and tire rotation. Added bonus software update on the transmission. In and out in under two hours. They vacuum and wash your vehicle and send a brief informative video detailing the work they did. Good job!!!
The Agent (Chris) who signed me in was very helpful. He suggested maintenance that the previous owner didn’t do on schedule and he covered payment options with me. I set up in the waiting room to do some work, I had to Google how to use the Coffee maker but got a decent cup eventually! When Chris came to check me out, he went over pricing clearly with me and what I need to make sure to have done on my next service. Overall good experience!
I had an appointment for the first time with the service department today. Evelyn checked me in and was so nice. When I dropped my car off, it was just Evelyn and another lady. They were both so friendly. Ive honestly never had a pleasant car service department experience until today. After I dropped my car off, I was kept up to date on everything going on. When I picked my car up, the gentleman helping me was also very nice. The entire experience makes me want to buy all future vehicles from here.

So, this review is specific to the service department. I took my new vehicle in for the routine oil change. I was very skeptical about how it was going to go, since I figured that the Family Plan program they offer would be the cheapest oil possible. Instead, the service advisor (Melissa A) let me know that the free oil change would cover the Nissan recommended - in my case, Mobil Super Synthetic. Now, while the Super line of oils from Mobil isn't the same as Mobil One, it's more than adequate for a 5,000 oil change interval. I was very pleased to see that they weren't "cheapening out" - obviously they aren't going to hit you up with a top-tier premium product line, but they aren't trying to fill your car with Sludge-o 3000, either.
The next pleasant surprise was the level of communication and digital integration. They actively update you via text, they provide a link to a 30-45 second summary video from the tech on what they did to your vehicle, and they didn't try to "create a problem" to upsell.
That said - this is my first visit to their service department. I don't know if they always perform at that level. However, today, they definitely put their best foot forward - it has moved me from "very reluctant" to "a bit impressed and cautiously optimistic".

THIRD VISIT UPDATE: Well, it's definitely one of those "the other shoe dropped" situations, unfortunately.
So, when we bought the car, they DID clearly communicate to us that the "Family Plan" required that we do the recommended maintenance with Fred Anderson. What wasn't made clear, and where the disingenuous part comes in, is that tire rotations are considered part of the recommended maintenance for the vehicle. Now, I understand the importance of tire rotations. Doing rotations prevents uneven wear and increases the longevity of your tires. What I don't understand is how the hell Nissan includes tire rotations as part of their recommended maintenance in their owners guide. Tire rotations have nothing to do with the maintenance or longevity of the vehicle itself - rather, it makes a wear-and-tear item last longer.
But, as I found out, they do include tire rotations in the recommended maintenance, and therefore you must pay for said tire rotation every time you get an oil change. Guess what - they charge 50-60 bucks to move your tires around on your car. Coincidentally enough, that's what it cost at any other service provider to get an oil change.
So, the complimentary oil change is a gimmick - technically correct, yet disingenuous.
That, combined with the extremely expensive pricing around other services required, means that I will no longer participate in the "Family Plan".
It's too bad, really. What was a very impressive sales point and customer retention tool has now become a sour taste in my mouth. Just another example of "if it's too good to be true, it probably is."
Chris Lowry explained to me about brake pads and rotors and forwarded a video showing me. I like that method. He is efficient, professional and had my paperwork ready. He answered all my automotive and financial questions politely and completely.

Of course people call all dealerships “stealerships”. This unfortunately is no exception. The service was ok.
My vehicle needs tires and was told that with our “complimentary” oil changes as part of their policy, tire rotations are included but with a fee(I passed since my vehicle needs tires). I was then told that the next time, since I passed on the rotation this time, that service would have to be performed. With that being said, dealership warranty services do no include free replacements of wear parts, so why must a tire rotation be performed when the oil is being changed? It’s because they must charge you for something to recoup the money they aren’t making on the oil change.
And another thing, nearly 2 hours for an oil change was a bit much even if understaffed, especially when other customers came in after myself, and left prior to my vehicle being ready. That’s probably because they couldn’t charge me for anything 😉
Great experience. During a busy Monday I was attended to promptly, provided comfortable accommodations and free beverages for my wait and the vehicle was attended to satisfactorily. Evelyn my Service Writer was excellent!

For the second time in as many visits, the staff was too busy chatting with each other to acknowledge my arrival until another associate, who was busy with a customer, noticed me waiting and called attention to me. The others nodded to him, not to me and finished their conversation before ambling over.
The service performed was quickly done with I nice car wash.
Glenn took care of getting all my service work up to date and my NC inspection. He provided excellent customer service.

Everyone was nice and professional. I received a detailed video of my car’s inspection. My only problem is the “free oil change” I don’t consider it free if I am obligated to pay for a tire rotation each time I receive an oil change. A $40.00 tire rotation that I didn’t request or need in order to get my “free” oil change felt misleading. Aside from that everything was great.

Fred Anderson Nissan of Asheville service dept never checks your tire pressure with a tire rotation which you pay $37 for, with a “free” oil change. Even when I specifically asked them to check tire pressure upon check in. This has happened numerous times, including today. Otherwise have received good service.
First day of service and it was above and beyond. They even send you videos to your mobile as they are doing stuff to your vehicle explaining how the process is going on and to tell you what do you need or you are about to need ex. Tires , brake pads etc on the video. Really great.

Typically this place is a 5 star experience. When I went this time though not impressed. On my receipt of what they did it says complimentary car wash. My car was definitely not washed at all. There was still pollen all over it. They did not charge for my oil change as it is under warranty. The did however charge me for a tire rotation 40 dollars. Mind you my car is very new and under full warranty. The assistant manager guy over the garage was not as kind as everyone normally is there. He seemed frustrated with me because I did not have an appointment even though he said they are not busy. I have kept buying cars here because I love the customer service. This time I felt very unwelcome there. I even talked my son into purchasing a car here. I sure hope Nissan does a turn around.

I just bought my Nissan Rogue from Fred Anderson a few days ago, so I am still learning all the features of my new car. As for the buying process, DJ and everyone assisting me made it an easy process. I initially reserved it as a “presale” and DJ was good to call and keep me updated on the ETA. The buying process was typical of any car buying experience, it just takes TIME. But from DJ to the sales manager, down to the finance manager, everyone was super nice, informative and just easy to deal with in general.
Rear lift gate pistons reprogrammed. Drivers side seat heater replaced. Everything thing works perfect now.
The only complaint I have is the last couple of times I have came in for service is that I said my windshield fluid didn't come out. After checking someone said that I had fluid but no one checked to see why I was saying that the fluid still wasn't coming out. After my visit on 7/19/22 now the windshield pump is going bad and it's going to cost about $500. My service advisor keep me posted about my car.

This was my first service at Nissan Fred Anderson. My service rep was very nice, but he estimated my time for service to be an hour and a half and it was 2 hours and a half. Also the car wash that was clearly noted on the invoice was not done. I said nothing about it at checkout because I was already unhappy with the delay in service. I am hoping for a better experience on my next oil change.
I was disappointed in the lack of communication from the person taking care of my vehicle. I sent texts which they said was their preferred method of communication but I received no response. I called twice and they said they would call me right back I never did receive a return phone call.
I may try and find another Nissan dealer to take care of my service needs in the future
Fred Anderson honored a drive train warranty and replaced the rear end for ‘free’ except the deductible. Would have cost over $3000. Great service!

While getting my 2013 Nissan Frontier truck inspected at a regular inspection point, their computer gave a "not ready rejection". I went to Fred Anderson Nissan to correct the problem. The dealership checked the truck computer system, and said there was no problem. They completed the inspection, and only charged the amount of a normal vehicle inspection. I am very pleased with the service that I received.

In and out quickly for an oil change. Friendly service, no problems at all.
We purchased our Nissan Rogue Sport in Dec of 2021. We went there as it was the only place selling the car we wanted at under MSRP in the area at the time. It was a fair price. When we got there, we didn't have to deal with much hassle and got a fair trade in and left with our new car. The staff was friendly and said our purchase included the service plan and we would get free oil changes.
Today, we took advantage of our first free oil change. We scheduled the appointment and was told it would be 60 to 90 mins. We got in early with some takeout food. Had a nice lunch in the lobby and had just started playing some cards when we were told it was done. Whole process took around 25 mins. We got the oil changed, the tires serviced and a multi point inspection as well as a free car wash. They even sent us a personal video of the inspection on our car to watch afterwards. Whole thing didn't cost me anything today other than lunch and gas to get there and back.
We'll see how well we're treated as time goes on but based on the purchase and first servicing experience goes, I couldn't be happier. I would for sure recommend giving them a shot if you're in the market for a new ride.
I bring my 2016 Rogue in for regular maintenance. The service advisors are always friendly and helpful. The paperwork given always explains everything done in great detail so I know exactly what was done and the status of my vehicle. Extra services and repairs needed are always offered and explained with no pressure to buy. Service area and dealership is clean and organized and customer-friendly. I highly recommend.
The young man greeted me with a smile and was very polite and courteous through out my visit. He explained everything well and kept me updated. I liked that I was sent a video with the mechanic explaining and showing me what they found while right there on my own car!

The personnel at Fred Anderson is very helpful and courteous. But the 2013 Altima transmission is bad at 80,000 miles and the is no factory assistance after 8 years. Car has been exceptionally well taken care of and maintenance done at Nissan recommendation. Car still looks great but not no resale value repair cost $6300.00 & car worth $7000.00. Will not purchase another Nissan.
I'm only giving it four stars because the people that answer the phone for service who inquire about what you need, they are not consistent. When I've had issues before being transferred to the service advisor some of the people are more helpful than others. Also their training and dealing with people is not consistent. But beyond that I'm extremely satisfied with the service department. From service advisors to efficiency in repair to great people skills, I am very pleased and happy every time I take my car to the dealership.
The service staff are always helpful and friendly. I will not take my 370z anywhere else. I know it will be taken care of the best and most professional manner. If you want it done right the first time, take your car to the professionals.

I received a mailer from the dealership with a trade-in offer for my 2020 Frontier. I was a bit suspicious of the valuation/trade numbers mentioned.
I called to test the water and spoke with Stephanie Dilts. Ive purchased many vehicles over the years and really, she was one of the easiest and knowledgeable sales people I've ever worked with. She made me an offer on 2022 Frontier and it was pretty good but more than I wanted to spend. We left it there and about 10 days later she called me back with a very interesting offer. We decided to check it out. Once we arrived we were greeted promptly. She was pleasant and had the paperwork ready based on our conservation earlier. I was waiting for the oh, you have this fee and that or well...we can't quote make you the same deal pitch but it never happened.
It was a Saturday and the dealership was buzzing. We met the service staff, then the numbers guy, Dennis Morgan. He was fast, courteous and a pleasure to deal with. I figured it would 30 mins or so. It was half that. A pleasant surprise.
So they cleaned up the new Frontier, she filled it with gas and walked us through all the truck tech stuff and it was substantial. She made us feel at home and we appreciated learning about her family. We benefitted from her integrity and experience.
So thank you Stephanie and the staff of Fred Anderson Nissan. We will purchase our next Nissan at this dealership. This Frontier is my 4th Nissan vehicle. I love the brand.

My car was taken in on time. They were extremely busy but gave me an accurate estimate for when my car would be done. This was an appointment for regularly scheduled maintenance, oil change brake fluid change, tire rotation, etc. and was done in about an hour and a half. They also did an inspection and gave me an idea of the wear on tires and breaks. I'm very pleased with the work done.
There was no waiting to get my car in. Even with an appointment, it’s not unusual to wait other places. Michael explained what was to be done, the cost, and the amount of time it would take. I was pleased that the car was ready 1/2 hour sooner than expected. I’m one of those who is expecting to get “ripped off” by dealerships but this has never been the case here. The service I received was excellent & Michael could not have been more helpful.
I was just disappointed chill learned that the only way I could get a free oil change on the family plan was if I got my tires rotated even if it wasn’t due to be done. Also I later read all the fine print on the back of the form and was appalled to learn that you wouldn’t have to give me an estimate or let me know before you service my car with some thing I didn’t know about. That’s just not acceptable.
Service was remarkable. Glenn took excellent care of us. Great communication. We have a 2012 Nissan Murano and at times when we were going up hill our vehicle would lose power. We took our car to 3 different places, to include a transmission specialist. Although a code never showed up, we were quoted $5200 by two out of the three places for a new transmission. We took it to Fred Anderson Nissan on Friday and they diagnosed it by Saturday morning. We had our car back shortly after lunch. Not only did they find the issue, but they fixed it for less than 1/5 of the cost! They washed and vacuumed my car before returning it in superior condition! What service! I would recommend Fred Anderson Nissan to all. This kind of service would make us consider another Nissan in the future. Thanks so much!
Arrived at dealership at arranged appt time. Customer rep immediately introduced herself and took my car for service. She showed me the waiting area which was clean and coffee and water was available. Service was completed within one hour. My car was serviced and washed before I got into it. I am very pleased with the service, and one on one attention the service rep provided. I would recommend Fred Anderson Nissan to all my friends
My Nissan Murano received its 25K mile service today 6May2022. Melissa was my service rep. She kept me abreast via text message as to the status of my vehicle. She was so professional and a delite to deal with. I am very pleased with the service my car received and Melissa made my experience at Fred Andersen Nissan second to none.

I made an appointment on-line Wednesday afternoon, Jenny called back shortly after to give me a choice of times available on Friday morning. Then I received an e-mail with the confirmation for the scheduled appointment. I showed up for the appointment and was greeted by Andrea in the service department, she had me bring the truck in and set me up with all the services I was scheduled for. She was very cordial, professional and had me on my way quickly. I dropped the truck off , which she said would be about 2 hours and that she would call when it was ready. About a hour and a half later she did just that. When I got back to the dealership, she greeted me again, took care of the paperwork, and made sure to inform me on what was to be done on my next service appointment. This is why I am giving a 5 star rating. Keep up the great work and service. I am completely satisfied. Thank you.

I've been talking my car here for service since 2015, and they always take good care of me. The people are friendly and professional and they do good work.
My current visit was a warranty issue, or else I would have traveled the extra hour to go to Knoxville. The visit before with service for an oil change was horrific. The whole experience was terrible. I was talked down to by the “assistant service manager”, interrupted and spoken over, all because I am a female who was trying for voice her concerns over a charge for changing a filter that consisted on maybe 30 seconds of labor. I was then turned over to the “service manager” who told my husband I was lying about the whole situation. It’s a shame they have males working for them who still don’t respect females making their own decisions.
I might add that my advisor this last visit was Tracy who was an absolute professional and so kind! If I do return to use the service department it will only be because of her! (I would give one star but for her I’ll at least give three!)
Every time I bring my vehicle back in for service I am always treated with respect and friendship. I have never been disappointed with the service department. I will return when my next scheduled service date/mileage come back around.
Had a brake issue and needed to get in ASAP. Got me in the same day to check my brakes. Waited 30 mins and was done. No charge either. Amazing service.

My appointment was at 11:00 but I got there early and my car was serviced immediately and I left at 11:10 with a vacuum and a much needed vacuum! Service was great and many thanks for the complimentary wash and vacuuming! Staff was efficient and came into waiting area to tell me my car was ready!

Arrived an hour and 30 minutes early for my scheduled oil service. The service tech worked me in and I was out in an hour and 15 minutes. Great service.
Jon was very professional, friendly, and kept me informed about my service progress.
The lady in the service area was super helpful and took care of my issue. She kept me notified of the timeline of my vehicle being fixed. I had an appointment to determine of something was covered under my warranty and what it would need to be fixed. They had everything in stock, so they just went ahead and fixed the issue right then and saved me from having to make another trip to Asheville to wait.

He is very friendly and he explained what services were going to be performed and how long it was going to take. My car was completed when he said it would be. Fred Anderson Nissan is the best dealership I have ever dealt with. Everyone I have had anything to do with there have bent over backwards to meet and exceed my expectations. That is especially true of their service department.Their Service Advisor, Traci Massie has been great. Traci always makes me feel special, as I'm sure she does with all of her customers. She lets me know exactly what needs to be done and keeps me informed of everything. I was in customer service for 40 years so I know what good service is all about. Their Service Manager, Mike Hentorn has always been attentive to my needs as well. It is not often that you find this quality of service these days. I recommend them highly.

I was impressed by how quickly the service person, Matt F., got me in, figured out what I needed, and got the vehicle serviced. I was there less than an hour and even got a car wash. Took my car in for an oil change & tire rotation. They did a good job with that. However, my car had been washed the day before and was spotless. When I picked up the car today, there were water splotches everywhere. I was frustrated because it made my car look dirty when I had just washed it. Other than that issue, it was a good experience.
Took my vehicle in for maintenance that ended up being covered under the Family Plan. What would have been over $1000 repair bill was only $100. Love this service plan. Glenn Graves is the service advisor who helped bring all this about. Will definitely be returning the Fred Anderson Nissan for all my future needs and wants.

The service rep was not as friendly as others who have helped me in the past. This person was not groomed and was eating at the desk rather unprofessionally. The work I assume was ok, but in times of pandemic I would have preferred for my car to be washed inside & out after services. My car was vacuumed lightly and not even under the mats.

I made an appointment, in person, on Saturday. I showed up Monday morning to find out I didn't have an appointment. They took the car and did the work anyway. Good work just confused about the appointment.
I recently bought a one year old Frontier from Fred Anderson. After about a month I noticed a squeak while driving over rough roads. I still had some original warranty left so I decided to bring it to the dealership and have them take a look at it. In about an hour they had it fixed. The hood latch had to be readjusted. Apparently a common problem (easily fixed) and they did so for FREE ! Looking forward to my new (squeak-free) truck and a good relationship with Fred Anderson Nissan of Asheville. Thanks folks
