My experience was great at Benchmark. The staff was friendly and respectful, a very warm vibe. The process was simple, I was able to fill out my application online which was very convenient and saved time. I was in and out in a couple hours and they filled the tank with gas! They have many nice low mileage vehicles that are in top shape. You won’t find any junkers there, I think their goal is to provide top quality used vehicles because the major repairs are on them per the lease agreement. It’s so hard to find a decent used vehicle so I was thankful to find Benchmark.

Benchmark is a great option for younger buyers like I. I needed a new car after my Nissan but the dust and After looking and debating I Finally found my 2004 Acura TSX. I love the car greatly and the systems they use are super easy, though I would like another car from them due to the TSX requirements of premium gas with these rising prices, I’ll be happily waiting for my 13 months to come to hopefully get the one I want. I have my eyes on one currently at the lot and I would hope it’s there still when it comes. Greatly satisfied with the establishment!

It's as easy as stated, if you are like me and can't get a loan for a car without a ridiculous down payment, these are your people. Don't risk some other buy here pay here with cars that go straight from the auction house to the lot. From experience I can tell you it's always a gamble. But at benchmark all the cars are inspected from an unbiased party, and come with the option of a warranty and free oil changes for the period of your lease So far I have nothing bad to say about my experience, I've got troubled credit, and just switched to a new job last month if I can get a car so can you! Thanks to Wayne and the benchmark team. It's great to have places like this that will give people a chance! UPDATE: 04-05-2022 Still loving my ride, no issues whatsoever. My sister took home a red SUV today and she's had a good experience so far as well! My uncle will also be purchasing a vehicle this time next month so I'll be back for another update. I ran into I little problem on my end .so called the mgr and the 1st thing he said let's see how we can help .so we figured things out can ask for much more than that ..good people Ok let clear the air.i bought a 2004 Nissan frontier pick the truck up on Thursday and drove it home .Friday me and my daughter drove all day with no problems till we went to have lunch and I wouldn't start .I called dealership told them that it would start and we was broke down ..now I was upset yes..but they did come and picked us up and took it and fixed it ..I guess I was more mad at it breaking down after one day..but the more time I've thought about it the more it was clear they went out of thier way and made it right after all it is a used truck thinks going happen .the big thing is they made it right and very fast

Even comes with a warranty. Only bad thing I can say is it doesn't help your credit. Really wished it did

Inventory was up to date online…. I had been shopping for months for this certain vehicle. Drove out there, met Wayne, test drove it…. Loved it but it had a very slight brake issue. Like any buy here pay here dealer you will pay more than book value for a vehicle, however, Benchmark has a great leasing program where you can walk away at anytime if you choose so for a small fee after 13 months. They also offer warranties on a lot of their vehicles. Give them a try if your in need of a vehicle and don’t have much cash to spare and don’t have much credit established or have a bad credit history. Eddie “Ed” was able to get us in the vehicle we wanted and made the process very smooth, he even helped me get set up with a new insurance company when mine refused to give me coverage. Process was quick and easy. My credit tanked during Covid-19 lockdown, so every dealership wanted a high down payment or a ridiculous monthly payment, even though I have a well paying job. Benchmark put me in a car (from this century) for $750 down and $79 a week ($316 a month), with a dealer warranty for the big stuff. They even helped me get insurance since I haven’t needed it in six months. Ed was extremely helpful, encouraged me to drive all the cars in my price range to find the right fit for me. When I found the car I wanted, but had one more to test, he handed me the keys to “my” car to hold so nobody could buy it while I was testing another car. Overall, I would definitely recommend Benchmark Auto Sales to anyone, especially someone with not so great credit who needs a car now.

Experience was excellent. They have a good selection of vehicles, ranging in cost of down payment. I applied for financing on their website the night before. The next morning they requested what they needed to get me approved, and by early afternoon I was leaving the lot in my new car! Sooo grateful they approved me based off my job/income, because my credit is pretty bad and I never thought I’d get such a nice vehicle! Also feel great knowing it’s covered by a warranty the entire time I’m paying on it, and they change your oil for free every six months. Only had my vehicle for one full day, but so far so good! Excellent customer service from my salesman, Ed, and really from everyone else I spoke to or dealt with at Benchmark on Brevard rd. I stopped by their car lot two days ago, only planning to look at what they had, maybe test drive a few, check prices, and continue on to another lot to do the same before making any further decisions, but what can I say? They know how to close a deal. Drove home I in new (to me) 05 Acura mdx the next morning. Its pretty sweet. Had I been able to, they would've had me in it the first day. Car drives great and looks great inside and out. The only minor cosmetic issue interior (very worn down seat covers on driver and passenger seats), they have ordered replacements for and will fix as soon as they arrive in mail. I didnt even request they fix the seats, would've gotten the same car either way, but its a nice perk they are doing it anyways. Lease agreement and payments seem very reasonable and more than fair, especially considering the warranties and maintenance services they provide. Great experience all around, highly recommend, ask for Ed!

Update: picked my car up today and the issue seems to be resolved. It took 3 days but they did squeeze me in and didn't charge me because it was new. So far I'd still recommend the company. Still a little shaken up and trust is damaged. I think the communication throughout the repairs could have been better. Just a call letting me know it was diagnosed, parts were ordered and eta. But because I was frustrated being kept in the dark, I kept calling making me feel like I was being unreasonable.

After the huge down payment, and paying on the car or truck, you still don't own it. This is a lease only. After you fulfill the contract, they will offer to sell you the vehicle, paying alot more money. It's better to go to a real dealership and get a new car

Great place to do business. Wonderful staff, very helpful. I have purchased two vehicles from them already and my wife has one. They have really nice vehicles and the prices are not outrageous and the payment plans are structured to fit any budget. My most recent purchase literally took me about 30 mins from arrival to driving away in my new truck. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone. The only gripe I have, is out of the large inventory, there's not a lot of $500-$1000 down payment vehicles to choose from.

Went many places before them and they r the best to deal with and friendly only thing that got to me was after I paid down payment and signed papers I saw the price was 2,000 more then it said online. They charge for gap and rent charge. I guess having gap is good but rent charge is a little much but I still recommend them, there cars are great.

Recently, my wife and I purchased a vehicle from Benchmark Auto Sales. Since we paid cash we were able to negotiate with the salesperson a price that was considerably less than what they were asking for it. The car had a problem with the air compressor, and they guaranteed that it would be fixed. It was not only repaired, they never charged us a dime! We didn't even have a warranty. I do not know of Any other automobile dealership that would do that for their customers. They told us that they wanted us to be happy, and if we have any further problems with the vehicle to contact them back. This is the only buy here pay here lot that you should even consider! They give a warranty for the life of the loan, pay your vehicle taxes, give you free oil changes, pay for GAP Insurance and provide quality vehicles for a reasonable price. There is not another buy here pay here lot that would even consider doing all of that! Not to mention the people are nice and try to accommodate your needs the best way they can. If you don't need a vehicle right away, they get new stuff in constantly so pace yourself and the perfect car for you will come in. I am so happy with my Tahoe and I can't thank Ed enough for his patience with me and my husband as we went through this process. Learn how to be more professional before you look at my reviews. To think I was actually going to give you 4 stars based on the way you guys have been flexible with me but whoever you are and your staff need to learn customer service. Grant it all customers are not right but if you are supposed to be professional act or respond in a professional manner. Now my experience has been ok I haven't had an issue with my high mileage vehicle other than basic wear and tear. Also if i was going to be late i would call or email and let them know and i have never had any issues. But as you can see or better yet read from your response to my half completed review this is the only issue I have had with Benchmark. Update: The 1 star review is based on your customer service not my vehicle. I will update to 3 but thats still not going to change how customers are handled. If you want to keep customers your team needs to learn how to speak with them professionally. Yes I am a customer and my vehicle has been wonderful it's the staff that need help. I know who Stephanie is and I have spoken to her on many occasions she is actually nice. I just don't know how she can have a staff that don't know how to handle customers.

i purchased a car here on march 2015. Paul was my sales representative and had been working with me diligently in the weeks leading up to the purchase. he was very informative and courteous. I was worried that i would be there all day looking and completing the paperwork, but it only took approximately one hour for them to complete the entire process. They were able to answer all my questions and concerns and assured me that their cars were good quality and that they would take care of me as their customer. The administrative staff were very friendly and helped me get insurance and even faxed back my signed paperwork to the insurance company. The sale guy made a B line straight to my dad and started to ask him questions about a car, mean while I'm walking the parking lot waiting for someone to ask if I needed help. It never happened 2 guys were standing on the porch never even said Hi. So I went back and sat in the car. When my dad was done, he told them they missed a sale with me, they assumed that my dad and I where togethner. We all know what happened when we assume. I want to first start off by saying that nobody told me to write this review, and I am a legitimate customer of Benchmark Auto Sales who bought a car March 19th, 2015. I usually don't write online reviews, but I know a lot of people are skeptical when it comes to buying an automobile from a used car dealer, so I hope this helps someone out. The salesperson that worked with me was Charlie. He was very friendly, helpful, cooperative and worked with me through the buying process. At no time did I feel uncomfortable or pressured into buying a vehicle. I felt confident about the history and reliability of the car because I was shown a car report on the history of the car. Also, he let me take the car all the way to Arden to let my personal mechanic inspect the car. The women who do most of the paperwork were nice and friendly and showed me in detail what the paperwork was that I was signing after I purchased the vehicle. Went in about 10:30 in the morning, and had the car sitting at my house at 4 pm.- this included a test drive, a trip to my mechanic in Arden, and a trip to the DMV which took about 2 hours (this was my fault). Overall, I highly recommend Benchmark Auto Sales and they will be my first choice for an automobile in the future. THANKS! LOVE THE CAR!

Wow! I have never been so impressed with a dealership, definately not used auto dealers! A couple of months ago we purchased a Toyota Highlander from them and we decided to finance through our bank. The service was great then, but today, man did they wow me! This morning my car overheated, fluids and steam eroding from the car. I called them at 9am sharp to see if they were going to honor the warrenty. With no questions askex they directed me to Ben in the warrenty department. Not only did they honor it and fixed it with all brand new parts, but they also towed it from Weaverville to their shop in Fletcher. Again with no questions asked...no hastle only had to pay the deductable. All this on a 10 yr old car! Untill them I had never heard of such a thing, let alone experienced it! I got a 2003 GMC Envoy from Benchmark Auto Sales. Ed was our salesman. He was really nice and took his time showing us around the lot. He explained that the vehicle came with a full powertrain warranty so that was great to hear in case something went wrong we knew we wouldn't need to worry about a thing. All cars on the lot were clean and we found the one we wanted. He let us take it to our own mechanic and have it checked out before we decided to buy. I felt no pressure from beginning to end. About 2 weeks after we got the suv I was at Lowes and the Envoy wouldn't start. I called them and explained the issue. They had someone try and talk me through a few things to see what the problem was and then they sent a tow truck out. He got there fast and later that afternoon they called saying it was just the starter and that they would have a new one in the next morning. I got a call from them early the next morning saying the had installed the new starter and that I could pick up my suv and that there would be NO charge to me at all. I was so grateful because I didn't think it would be covered. Thank you Ed and all at Benchmark we will come back again and recommend you to our family and friends. My experience was not a great one, between the dealership having lost the main keys to the car i was purchasing not starting on the second go. And the rude manager laura's relentless will to deny me over twenty bucks. Though Ed the sales man was a good guy for the most part having his hands tied because of laura, still managed to get me the car i wanted, though i could not drive off the lot with it the day i bought it instead had to wait 48 hours for them to install a gps unit in it, and replace the battery. Though by the time I was "allowed" to pick up the car they had fixed everything and had it ready with the correct keys waiting for me. I recomend some of their managers go back to customer care training and actually learn how to speak to people without being insulting. Though now I do have a car and it is thanks to them my next one however will not be coming from them.

I'll start by saying that I detest car shopping. I hate everything about the entire experience, it makes me so anxious and it takes so long to get through the car buying process. Maybe if I had only ever shopped with Benchmark I wouldn't feel that way! I visited the dealership just to look at cars on a Thursday and when I told Ty Coxie we were just there to look he told us his name and then gave us plenty of space to browse- pressure free. I returned on Friday at 4:30 in the afternoon and had test driven the car I wanted, gone over paperwork, had payments arranged, finalized insurance and signed all paperwork making the car mine by 6pm. Tianna was so friendly and made going over all the necessary forms feel like it wasn't a chore. The staff here took all the stress out of car buying and helped me get a car I love. It was repaired at no cost to me but within days the same issue that was just fixed happened in the the front of the car.
