Absolutely beautiful experience. The home and tour were both very lovely, the guides very knowledgeable. I enjoyed being able to see all of the beautiful furniture and some of the wardrobe from the family. There were a lot of original pieces to see and I was so intrigued by the paintings. I definitely recommend visiting and will be going back very soon.

I want to give my opinion about the trails since so far I have not been able to visit the museum, recently my husband and I moved together with our two dogs so we are always looking for new places to walk the 4 together, this place has loved us It is very quiet and is paved so it is great to walk, the trees, the colors make you lose yourself in time while you walk and observe.

We enjoy seeing the beautiful trees and wildlife as the seasons change. Plenty of space to relax in the sun or shade. The park is lit for the holidays and the mansion beautifully decorated.

I went to Rockwood museum for the winter fest. I did not realize it was such a big event. The place was decorated beautifully for the holidays. We got a picture with my daughter and Santa Claus. I would definitely recommend Rockwood Park and museum for a fun-filled family outing. I look forward to going to the ghost tour early next year.

Under a lot of ongoing restoration work, but a beautiful place to visit (even in the Fall!) The gardens should be lush in the spring/summer season. Beautiful venue for weddings

Beautiful mansion. The grounds are well kept and nicely paved trail. Very dog friendly with water bowls. Wish there is a better view of the mansion... The trees and plants blocking it. I love the oval informational signs. I learned a lot from reading them.

They have event all year round last year they had a fire work show that was amazing. My kids also enjoy the bubble festive and ice cream festival. The mansion is beautiful, we visit every year for Christmas shows and displays of lights. Highly recommend. Also you can’t miss the flower festivals in the spring it’s amazing and they do a carnival for the kids, tons of vendors and daily and nightly concerts of different bands

Attended the ice cream and bubble festival with my family. There was a small fee for adults but children under 12 were free. There was a shuttle bus for parking which was very helpful. Plenty of good truck options (cash only), music, bubble wands for the kids and a fireworks display at 9. It was a great day.

I ride my bike here regularly on the Greenway trail from Bellevue State Park on Marsh Rd. entrance. Easy 1.5 mile ride, but it is a hilly area, so keep that in mind. I enjoy sitting in the garden and just enjoy the scenery and birds.

Went to the fairy festival and it was great. Parking is very limited but they had a shuttle and the bus drivers were amazing. Lots of shade and a nice breeze!

The mansion and history of the property was very interesting. I like that on the tour they actually walk you into the rooms. Great customer service! Oh! They have a ghost tour too, if your into that sort of thing.

I took my kids out this weekend to the open house at Rockwood par and we had a great time. The seasonal lights and crafts for the kids were great. I let my son take the pictures so I apologize for any unclear photos I post.i strongly suggest taking the family again next year.

This park is well maintained with lots of walking paths. There are some trail walks around the park, as well as a lot of paved paths as well. There is a path that connects to Bringhurst Wood Park as well.

Beautiful park with lovely view from top overlooking area. Nice paved walking trail. Great location for events 5k's etc. Recommend a visit here, also good for photography captures. Enjoy!

Very beautiful house and grounds. The staff are all extremely helpful. There are a wide assortment of tours, make sure you check the website(Facebook?) to find which tour you'd like and when it's offered. First Sunday is a free self guided tour, very interesting, but that's how they get you to come back and do all the other tours. You should definitely stop by, even if it's just to drive around the grounds.

This place is relaxing! I love the shows they put on seasonally. I wish there were clearer trail markers but it looks like it's headed that way. Love that you can bring dogs to the grounds.

Update: 8-7-2022 - I actually have been here dozens of times since that last review. I walk/jog through here a few times a week now! A dog bit me last year here! I had to get a bunch of rabies shots! Ice Cream Festival 2023. Very nice. Music was awesome, lots of people, fun activities for the kddies and lots of food trucks to choose from (I didn't make the right choice but I am a good truck festival groupie so I'll remember that truck in the future!). I haven't been to the ice cream festival in many years (even prior to COVID) and I must say I like the way it was run in terms of parking, shuttling and online tix. Wish I could have stayed to see the fireworks.

This is a fantastic area. Lots of history. Plenty of parking. Easy hiking around the area. There are information signs at various places. Looks like there are restrooms near the main building. Not sure if they or the main building was open. Looking in, it is very impressive. There are 4 geocaches in the area and the are easy to get.

The place is beautiful. A nice place to go and walk your dog or to just sit and read. You can walk the grounds of the property. You can also go up and view rhe mansion. I think they give tours of the mansion but check before going. Covid changes everything!

Wonderful gem. Mansion is beautiful, the tour is really interesting, full of surprising facts. Surrounding park is lovely as well. So glad we went! Be sure to check out the restrooms in the Mansion!

Rockwood Park at night with all the Christmas lights is not to be missed! The Mansion is in its Cristmas glory, decorated with all the care and attention every Victorian tried to achieve. Kudos to the staff and volunteers!

This park is based upon a large old family plot as far as I can tell. The buildings are old and lovely, bit not really my thing in parks. There's also a museum. The best part is a set of trails that meander around the property. The park sponsors occasional structured activities.

We were at Rockwood Park for the ice cream festival this year and it was amazing! The grounds are perfect for a venue of that size. Pleasantly crowded not overwhelming. I don't think I got to view the entire park but what I saw of it was very pretty. As for the ice cream festival they hold here, It's a must go!!! In addition to free ice cream tasting and a large variety of scooped ice cream the are tons of food vendors. There was also a lot for kids to do: bungee bounce, bubble stations for kids to make huge bubbles, home improvement vendors, carriage rides, and princess sing-a-longs and meet and greets. Truly amazing.

The festivals here are always great! Especially for kids! The fireworks at the ice cream festival tonight were STELLAR! thank you to all who put it on and all the police officers out there keeping us all safe as well as the fire fighters! My kids loved seeing the cool fire trucks and police suvs they even had gators and a huge police RV-looking vehicle it was great! The grounds were clean and the area was huge! We had a blast!

I live very close by which makes it super easy to attend the various events they host throughout the year. Every year I take my family to the ice cream and fairie festivals. The walking paths are really good for those who are looking for a nice walk or jog

It's my go to park for peace & quiet. My daughter & I love to walk through the 'Secret Garden' in the middle. Unique plants & trees all over & we often see bunnies & birds. Also, nice clear paths around the perimeter to walk or jog.

We enjoyed touring this home. It has an unusually large amount of original artifacts. The tour guide was knowledgeable and made the backstory re the former occupants interesting. Tour begins with a 15-20 min film and covers approximately 10-12 rooms.

We went to the museum and had a wonderful tour guide. The furniture, photos and the house in general all beautiful. I feel we could go back tomorrow and see a hundred things we didn't notice the first time through.

Large open space and a few trails. It's well maintained, clean and not crowed. The sledding in winter is mediocre and there is a medium-sized pond (restricted access). Perfect for flying kites and exercise.

Grand home tour. Very few like this where furnishings and even clothes are original to the house. Our guide, Leone, was passionate about history and this Victorian gem. She new the mansion well. A must see estate at a bargain admission price.

Rockwood Park & Museum in Wilmington Delaware is an awesome place with beautiful gardens and walking trails and Museum building....with gothic revival architecture and the exhibits reflects the life style (with so many items on display) of the Quaker Family/ Bringhurst Family during the period of 1850s and afterwards .. Generally one need to be a member or need to pay to visit the Museum but we had an opportunity to visit during Pre Christmas time when the visiting was for free( First Sunday of every month also FREE). Enchanting lighting arrangements and children activities, Music & Dance programs and big queue to Santa was another attraction in the chilly evening. Memorable ...

Really cool park to just hang out, explore, or learn. Located just off of Silverside and Washington St. Ext. The park offers hiking, a mansion to tour, special events, and plenty of picnic space. There is also a Farmers market on Thursdays from May-Oct.
