This very quiet park features lots of deciduous trees with a large open area and average sized sites with gravel pads. We visited for 3 nights mid-week and most of the units appeared unoccupied. I assume they are seasonals/permanents and used more on the weekends. In one area they looked like people working in the area in the short term, which is common. The bathhouse is dated and institutional but has been upgraded with tile floors and is functional and reasonably clean but stained with age. There is a pond by the lower level that I think you can swim in but otherwise no playground or other kid oriented equipment that I noticed. Sites are all water/electric with a dump site and free use of a “honey bucket” cart to empty your tanks. The downside to this location is you must drive about 2 miles on good gravel roads that are very dusty. Your vehicle will be very dirty. The Wifi worked pretty well. Propane refills are available.

We stayed one night. We did not mind the dirt road getting there. The lady who helped us yesterday (11/13/22) was very nice. My husband tows the 5th wheel and I follow along in my truck towing our 16' cargo trailer. The lady was not only able to squeeze our rig in (41') but she also had a spot right beside us for my truck and trailer. Not sure if the lady we paid on the way out was the same lady but she too was very nice.

I can recommend staying here. Few draw backs: the shower house reminds me of summer camp, gravel sites are not level, there are no sewer hookups, only a dump station, the roads leading to it are gravel and parts are wash board. But it is clean, quiet, and the new owner is updating the resort. After staying here for a couple of months one of the major issues is the staff does a marginal to poor job cleaning the shower house both male and female. The way the bath house is cleaned is by literally using a water house to spray down the floor; not sweeping and mopping with a disinfectant. There has been the same dead bugs behind the toilet since we have been here. A little more in pride in cleaning would solve this issue. Also the toilets in both bath houses are continually neglected. The residents some time leave the toilets one would think they do not understand how to use them.

Called ahead and had a site ready for us. It's was a wonderful stay. Got a very restful night of sleep, something we all needed. The owner went out of her way to help us. Even left her ranger sxsfor us to use. If I ever travel thru there again, I will definitely stay again!!!

Please note: Hope whoever reads this takes the time to Take the Short Road!
Well this 4 Mile Creek Resort has an interesting story because our GPS took us on a very dirty, dusty gravel road. By the time we arrived our Motorhome that was Covered in White/Gray dust. Yuck!!! And by the time we got there, it turns out we had a Shorter Rd, on our way to Blacktop into town. GOOD LUCK!

We stopped for 1 night and this place is fine for this. You aren't going to want to hangout here on vacation but good roas trip stop with full hook-ups. This is primarily a live in/long stay (contractors) park which is great for security IMO. Be nice to the neighborhood kids and dogs...they are friendly too.

We were only at this campsite overnight and left early in the morning. The staff was extremely helpful when I was trying to get 2 spots. I must have missed the part of the gravel road you have to travel to get there, but for the cost and convenience it was worth it.

Great, quiet campground. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a nice campground close to Derby/Wichita. The little lake has a great sand beach that is shaded. My kids loved it. We spent hours there. Fishing is also good. We caught several bass including a 3lber.
Things to know...it's approx 1.5 miles of gravel to get there. The campground has several permanent residents but that doesn't detract from the campground, they keep their areas nice and tidy.

The people who run it are absolutely awesome! I've stayed several times and it's been great each time!

We had a pleasant stay at this place with a lovely lawn that is great for dogs. The main drawback is there is no one looking after the place. The dumpster is overloaded with rubbish. The GPS directions are off, and take you to what appears to be a private residence. A call to 4 mile brings you to a message that someone will call you within 48 hours. Not cool when you are road weary and counting on your reserved spot. We drove on and found the place.
In the morning other campers warned us a pit bull had broken out of someone’s camper and attacked their dog days before and they were still there. No one had done anything to address the situation. We did not encounter the pit bull.
The place has the appearance of a place where trailers are parked for weekend use and the owners are elsewhere. It was eerily quiet and yet quite full.
The photos of a lake are misleading. There is no lake at the campground nor is any lake visible. The nicest part were the woods and lawn. And that despite the untended facility the water and electricity did work. A bill was left for us so someone was coming around for that part.

A bit difficult to get to to but the facilities and grounds are quite nice. Unfortunately there weren't any sewer or water hook-ups. Over-all though a pretty place to stay.

Older camground but well maintained. Lots of acres in a beautiful setting with ample wildlife. Many things for the kids to do too, and overall a quiet spot. Bath houses could be cleaner, and wish there were full hook ups, those are my only complaints.

Might be an ok place but it is ridicules that there is never anyone to answer the phone. So if you were there and someone was unable to get in touch with you and wanted to check up on you to see if all was ok.
Forget about that.

A beautiful place, spacious lots, Peaceful and quite. Management is on top of things. Overall it has been a really great place for me. The kid and dog loved to go run out in the big field and trails every night.

Rode out on a bikepacking overnighter. Owner was great and very easy to work with. We were able to find a great spot and explored the property on our bikes as well as rode gravel after camp set up.
