There is a north and a south side of this camping ground. There is a big difference between the two areas. The south side is a lot prettier and has trees. I would recommend to book the south campground. We had the north side. Both sides cost the same amount. It is only $25 per night. The bathroom, shower room and laundry room were very clean. The beach is beautiful and not crowed. During the week it is actually almost empty.

Loved staying here! Hope to visit again. The ocean just beyond the dunes that are at your camper door is an amazing experience, as are the Ariel show put on daily by the planes overhead.

Just another day in paradise. The only thing missing is cable TV. The campgrounds are clean and well-kept, even the heads are ship shape.

OMGOODNESS!!! This is a great place to visit! There are two RV areas, plus they have cabins for rent at only $25/night! Didn’t get a chance to look in any, though. Bummer. The beach is a stone’s throw away. There are plenty of flat roads & sidewalks to safely ride bikes, walk, or jog. We arrived on a Friday. Check-in was a breeze, and MWR hosted an awesome BINGO night for RV park guests. They have great prizes, too! I won a gift card, Beach rental package, AND a nice YETI coffee mug! The staff also provided a meal! There’s a nice Class VI, commissary, and base exchange (not in the same location as the RV park, though). Very family-friendly, too. We rode our bikes from the base to the VA Beach Boardwalk. I’m in my 60s and it was a very pleasant ride. The only downside? Retirees can’t make reservations more than six months in advance. That’s definitely not a dealbreaker, though—not at all. Will absolutely visit again!

Military/retiree/DOD eligible folks only. Great FHU paved campsites that are a short walking distance to the beach. Close to many things to do. MWR was VERY helpful with great suggestions.

Expensive for a military base but really nice RV park. Full hook-ups on every spot; both 30 & 50 amp service.

Had a wonderful site with trees and grass. Neighbors had 2 yippy dogs but weren't bad till the second night. 3 hours of constant barking that was horrible even over our TV and ac unit. We tried knocking on the door over their fence enclosure. Believe me the tan dog is mean. We would have definitely been bit. Soon the dogs went in.We assumed they were home. NO viruses These rude people cut out in theirclass C a doggy door so they could roam unattended. Bed steps to help them climb in and out. We talked to the owners when they got home at 9 pm Their response was "my dogs?" So the next day we told the office since this couple are permanents. Nothing the next night it was the same thing just not as long. No lady your dog only barks like that when left ALONE. We were in site 33 Wish I knew how to post picture and video.

I went to this cottage for peace and quiet. It was a clean cottage supported by great staff. One particular worker was very generous bringing us a key when I accidently got locked out. Thank you

Navy Getaways Sea Mist Camp Grounds, are exceptional and the location is great ! It's been a enjoyable visit so far ! We're here for our USS KIDD DDG 993 REUNION

Good size sites some shaded, some full sun. Staff pleasant. Grounds nice but some thing need repair. Main office and laundry is currently being upgraded. ( fall 2021 )
