Very clean and safe looking place to walk/jog/run. Seen a lot of people out there. Everyone was very friendly. The view is amazing. You also have access to a water taxi if you wanted to go that route. Definitely a must see if you're in Downtown Tampa.

Nice walk. Beautiful weather. Wish there were more restrooms, as one of the facilities were out of order. Took me less than 2 hours to leisure walk back and forth. Restaurants are available along the stripe, and nice to gaze out into the water. People run, walk, and bike along, but it never felt crowded. Cool to sit, relax and people watch. I liked sitting on the fake lawn on the Adirondack chairs.

I drove three hours away to get here and enjoy my anniversary with my other half. I was recommended to walk this riverwalk or ride scooters around the area, from a coworker. You have to pay to ride the scooters you see around, including the bikes but it's all worth it. I enjoyed the few hours I was there for. A lot of people sitting in the benches and walking around, said "good morning" or were simply really friendly and the dogs were my favorite. There was a lot of good vibes, good sights to see, and I lost a lot of calories walking it. There's opportunities for you along the way to stop and wait on boat taxis is what they call them. You can rent a surf board, a kayak, and more. It's a romantic stop you have to experience before you can understand how great it is in downtown Tampa. 10/10 beautiful and a great getaway. You can find coffee shops and fancy steak or Portuguese restaurants within 5-10 miles.

It was very clean and very beautiful. The memorials of the veterans as you enter the Riverwalk are well kept and so is the entire stretch down the river. I understand there are some things that staff cannot always take care of, like litter in the riverway, etc, but they do a good job making it look good.

This place s amazing and so beautiful. It has so much to offer from water taxi rides, the children's museum, and many tasty restaurants. I felt so at peace and all of the people were very friendly. Perfect place for date night, family time or even alone time. I highly recommend making this a stop on your list.

this beautiful stretch of sidewalk along the water in Downtown Tampa is one of the best parts of the city! along the pathway, there are parks to play at, bars to go to, and water taxis to take. it’s a great place for a walk, jog, or run too! there are also lots of great things to check out nearby, including the Tampa Museum of Art.

I love the Tampa Riverwalk, this path is really nice and it's a convenient way to access a bunch of attractions near Tampa's downtown (& beyond)! If the idea of just walking the path isn't enticing enough for you, take a quick stroll just to take in the views of the Hillsborough River. They are especially lovely at sunset!

Beautiful 2.6 mile trail along the Hillsborough river. The party is nice and wide, well lit, and maintained. There are plenty of things to do along the trail as it goes by downtown and the armature works. It is usually way to find rental bikes or scooters along the way if you don’t feel like walking

I have road bikes, E-scooters (personal one. City cannot go on Riverwalk), and walked here. It’s always pleasant even if it happens to be crowded. At night there are lights of all colors under the bridges as you walk beside the river. It’s clean and well paved, with lots of things to see and eat along the way with a few parks in between. You could end the walk with a trolly to Ybor city too! If I remember right the 4th of July has fireworks near Armature side of the walk. If you need a workout, wanna just take in the sights or you have people who are first time visiting to Tampa then I highly suggest visiting the Riverwalk

Worth the investment from the city; they spent a fortune to make the 2.5 mile long stretch which has all kinds of stuff along the way. Runs through the city area, slightly off to the side. Good for long walks, biking, skating, or whatever. Bars and other places of the sorts along the way.

Five stars, Five stars, Five stars. What an absolutely fantastic walk. The sights, sounds, and it's all so perfectly engineered to include businesses and local attractions. It was my first time on this walkway today and wow. Three miles never went by so easy. It distracts you from the fact to your burning calories! That you put back on with it's fantastic integrations. 😄 I love it personally and Tampa is such a beautiful city. 💕

No restaurants along the riverwalk Beautiful place to walk but note there are no restaurants along the Riverwalk. Also lots of people smoking weed everywhere. One evening they had an outdoor concert with food trucks. That was a nice experience. We saw a beautiful sunset there.

Very fun riverwalk with nice little restaurants and distractions along the route. During the winter it sounds like you can often see manatees in the river. There some nice splash pads for the kids if they’re getting to hit as well.

A few months ago my wife and I started getting up early on the weekends and going for a walk together, and the Riverwalk has to be my favorite spot we will walk! We will park up by Armature Works and walk all the way down to the Convention Center and back. We definitely get a nice sweat going, but it’s so worth it for those views!

Really nice place to walk, run or sit and relax. Also you can visit the Tampa Art Museum or the Children Museum. There is a playground and water sprinkling for the kids. Don't forget to bring you dogs.

What a timeless, yet somehow modern touch to this already wonderful area. I really love how the bridge overhead of the Riverwalk captures, to me, architecturally speaking, history. Yet they manage to seamlessly incorporate modern flair throughout the Riverwalk. Very well done! I walked here late at night by myself, and I felt safe, enough to be able to venture around and capture these awesome photos! The city at night on the bridge is quite a sight to see! Great for a date night, or just a solo walk, or hanging out with friends.

This is the newest and hottest spot in Tampa for entertainment you can walk along boardwalk there's boats for rent up by the lightning stadium you can go all the way to North boulevard to the armature works with his restaurants and I love going down there for Christmas I take all the kids and we go look at the lights and we just have the greatest time every year

Very well designed riverwalk system in downtown Tampa. This connects you to just about everything waterfront in downtown. It’s popular with locals and tourists alike and you’ll probably find an assortment of different activities on a normal weekend. Definitely worth a walk if you’re in the area.

the second best feature of the area behind the beautiful beaches but one that I use every day. Tampa has done an amazing job with the Riverwalk, and then promoting activity all along it...from Curtis Hixon Park and festivals and concerts, to Armature Works and it's contribution to the Gasparilla Pirate Festival, the Riverwalk is one of the best downtown features in the country, especially being able to safely walk, ride a bike, board, scooter along at night on a mostly well lit path. More cities should follow this have lit trails to walk and ride along. It's my favorite amenity of the area

Visited the portions of the NFL Experience for Super Bowl LV that were open to the public. Highlights included sandcastles, live DJ, and copious photo ops. We attended on Wednesday evening and the event was sparsely attended.

A must do activity with a wholesome community and family feel. There walkway is lined with plenty of parks and restaurants and will take about 45mins from start to end, although we didn't manage to complete the full length due to stopping at the various inviting distractions, including water park (for under 12s) and small ice ring. An early evening stroll is probably the best and most spectaclure time to visit.

It was a great place to relax. An excellent place to walk around, ride bikes, skateboard, or rollerblade. One of the best thing about it was how clean it was. It made it s joy to be there. Also at night the city has various items along the riverwalk lit up. And it's beautiful!

Very nice (and long) area! You can walk, ride a bike or a scooter, take a river taxi, sit and rock on a porch swing...or eat/have a drink in a nearby cafe. A breeze from the river makes it easier to walk even in hot weather.

Went in Mid December, very beautiful! It was like mid 80s, but it was still enjoyable. Good place to go for a run, on a warm day you will see a lot of people running or riding bikes.

A nice, long trail with vibrant decor and spectacular views of the river and city at many different angles. Nice for walks, biking, scooters and more. The nightlife is equally as great with the lights and such.

It is obvious much planning, passion, work, and pride went into the project. It is kept clean. It's getting much usage from the athletic to those needing a well paved area to help with losing weight to those just wanting a stroll. The path is wide enough for social distancing, some wore masks, but not many (pretty hot day). It can accommodate walkers, runners, baby strollers, and bicycles. Several benches and areas of natural and man made shade. Knowing where to park is a challenge though. Also the constant traffic noise takes away from a remarkable experience.

A lot of people. You had to walk from your car two three miles away. At night not fun even at Christmas time to see lights, where's all the lights, not many. Should have drove around the neighborhood I guess. Next year there will be different choices. That's ok, live and learn.

Well-maintained and lovely. The day when I was here the temperature was around 96°F. So even though the breeze was hot and humid, seeing the peaceful river made it all better. Shade coverings were definitely a plus.

Honestly my favorite place to Rollerblade I would be here everyday if I could. However I don't live that close anymore and gas right now is still super high. We enjoyed our time on the riverwalk during the night so much that we went back during the day. This is a great way of seeing downtown Tampa (you can also cycle, skate etc), and easily visit the museums, parks and restaurants on the sides. You can also take water taxis, or private tours, go kayaking or paddle boarding on the river.

Very nice place, and long distance for anything like running, cycling, walking etc. Gorgeous opps for photos, even small sea life like crabs. If you have a handicap sticker, you can park free at certain meters as well. Very ADA friendly, even where stairs are we were able to go another way. Very pet friendly and at one of the very ends there is a dog park.

Very nice enjoyable area with perfect views, decent places for families including four legged ones to walk, bike rides, and those looking to enjoy a drink while taking in the water and sun. There is something there for everyone. Nice architecture, museums, bars and restaurants, historical and educational info about Tampa and surrounding area, and plenty of water activies. The views were nice and everyone seemed happy. I can't imagine this place during the summer but it was nice during the "cold" Florida winters. :) Parking was a bit much at $10-15. Not sure if it was because of events taking place during MLK weekend. Needless to say, if you're looking for something to do or an area to hangout, this more than checks the boxes.

Make downtown Tampa your next destination and enjoy the Riverwalk and the museum and the aquarium and the ice cream and the food and the entertainment and the exercise. I've been to a lot of cities in the US, Canada, and Europe over the years. Heck, I just moved here a few months ago from Jersey, which is within 20 minutes of Atlantic City, an hour of Philly, and two hours of NYC. Very few cities are anywhere near as photogenic as Downton Tampa's Riverwalk is! If you're looking for the best views, definitely go in the evening around sunset. If you're looking to avoid the crowds and take a leisurely stroll, go on a weekday in the morning or afternoon. It can definitely get a big congested in the evenings, and people on electric scooters can definitely make it a bit stressful at times. There aren't a ton of restaurants along the Rivewalk, but as time passes, more keep opening up...which is great for tourists and locals alike as they bring more life into this incredible downtown that is otherwise more of a corporate town than anything else.

Everything an urban walking park should be. Winds along the river through the best parts of downtown Tampa. Wide, spacious path. My one complaint is the lack of public restrooms along the route. Definitely empty out before you get there. Also, you are able to walk the other side of the river through University of Tampa's campus, so you need not fully retrace your steps if you want to start/stop at the same point.

Love Downtowns! Makes me fall in love more every single time I visit downtown. Same goes with Tampa Downtown specifically. The Riverwalk is equipped with dozens of amazing things. -Pop up bar. -Walk along the Riverside. -These days a lighted boat ride is one of the festive events taking place at Hilsborough river. On top of that, Amazing restaurants, International delicacies, Hotels, only a few steps away from the Riverwalk. You may have to struggle a bit for the parking spot because nowadays its pretty much crowded as opposed to regular days. We parked our car at Poe Garage right across Mariott hotel which is barely at hop skin n jump distance from the Riverwalk.

Very nice walking path in Tampa Downtown. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is there was a lot of construction when we were down there so the path had random parts that were blocked off.

Clean, Safe, great outdoor activity and bustling at times. Yada yada yada. Point off because there was a concert when I went and they blocked off a section so you had to go up and around a number of building on the street and they were very unhelpful with no signs. Otherwise nice pleasant activity.

The Riverwalk is only a few years old, but it's already become the most important meeting point and path between meeting points in town. A walk down those 2.5 miles takes you all along Tampa's waterfront from way up the Hillsborough River at Armature Works past the Straz Center, Curtis Hixon Park (Tampa's front yard), a bunch of hotels, the convention center, a bunch more hotels, Amalie Arena, the Tampa Bay History Center, and finally Channelside/ Sparkman's Wharf on the edge of Tampa Bay, with spectacular water views all the way. It's a great walk and well worth a visit. Just watch out for the rental scooters...

We went there for the Parade of Lights! Loved it! There was a food court, sand sculpture, lots of places to sit in the shade or sun, water taxi's...just a fun place to be and I felt safe. There was officers on bikes and foot patrol. We have not been there since the Parade of Lights but I would not hesitate to go back. This is a must visit again!

One of the best places in the tampa area there is everything from restaurants , hotels and bars. The walk is filled with an amazing scenery. I highly recommend this location the walk starts i believe by water works park and ends by the convention center.

Visited for the first time. We loved the water fountain. The snack shop offers cold beverages including uniquely flavored Popsicles. I had the strawberry one and it was very good! My daughter rented a bird scooter and we didn't realize that some areas were dead zones so we got rid of it fairly quickly. Worst part was finding somewhere it would allow us to park it. A little bit of a pain in the butt. Parking was easy to find on the opposite side of the Riverwalk. Downloaded the app for parking and was able to extend our time directly from the app.

Lovely. Took the pirate's water taxi. Nice way to cool off and enjoy the evening after a day at the beach. Wish they offered an hourly rate. We were only on board for about 45min and had to pay $25 full day adult fair pp, plus $10 tip. Staff super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

Great place for a nice evening, impressively maintained. One of the best sightseeing place at downtown tampa. Right across there's a ice hockey stadium, during tampa bay lighehtning games this place turns into sports fan bonanza. The boat ride to st pete is a must try, if you have a day to spend try the water taxi. Both of them are super affordable. The dinner cruise is another major attraction which you can turn into a really affordable and amazing date. Cool croud . Use mainstream apps to find parking, its actually quite cheap if you know where to park.

I have been to many Riverwalks, in Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville and Baltimore. This was my first visit to the Tampa Riverwalk. It has 4 plus miles of non-interrupted riverside walkways )no traffic to cross, either) which is very popular, as you might image, with joggers and bicyclists. The "channelside" section of the Riverwalk goes past many downtown attractions, such as the Florida Aquarium, cruise ships docks, entertainment venues and the Trolley line.

One of the best place in tampa. We went there at night on our tour to Tampa. We got the parking very easily. You need to install MobilePark app to pay for parking. The place was not so croded but many people were running, jogging, walking, hanging out. You can also get beer there and walk around with it. We loved the changing colors of Bridge Lights. It was amazing. The boat cruise made it worth my time. The Riverwalk is beautiful and will allow any tourist to walk and sit by the river. There are many shops, great entertainment. The boat cruise allows you to get off at over 10 stops. You can stop, shop til you drop, eat and relax. The day was well spent. The variety of things to do is great. There are hotels located off the Riverwalk. Check the hotels out off the Riverwalk and then you do not have to seek parking beyond where you are staying. I give the Riverwalk a 13 on a 10 point scale.

Nice walk, so wear some comfortable shoes. We went through Armature Works, which is a building that houses 15 restaurants with food and drink. It was very pricey and a total tourist trap. We brought sandwiches from Brocato and ate outside the Riverwalk, which gave us some spectacular views.

My wife and I love Riverwalk! It's a great exercise to walk it. It's beautiful and there's so much to do. From the food trucks past the convention center, all the way to Waterworks Park and everything in between. There's always something going on. Riverfest/Tacofest was a blast! The market place at waterworks park is awesome anytime of day; definitely the classiest food court I've ever been in. The night club upstairs was rocking (we did not indulge, but the back of the line was all the way downstairs and we walked by it). Totally recommend the Riverwalk for all ages; there's something for everyone.

I've been coming here to hang out for about 20 years now. Tampa Riverwalk is open 24 hours and you can come as you are. You can be loud and free and chase your friends around at 3am and no one gives you judgement or trouble! Come spend the whole night watching the lights on the Riverwalk path and fall in love while you get to know your new found sweetheart. This is the best place to be safe in the view of public, yet have enough privacy to speak freely and openly without people listening in, and maybe even share a long kiss.. hell everyone else is lol. During the day there are events held that sell food and provide awesome kid friendly playgrounds and water attractions for summer fun. Bro it's free it's safe and if you park on the back roads on the other end of the walkway, not the downtown city side like about 3/4 mile north away from the lights. It's free parking there too

Theres a lot of things going on in this place. You can run/walk the whole place and do other physical activities like bike riding while enjoying the city/bay view. You can go with your family and enjoy the buildings, boats and other activities in the nearby area. Theres also food places and hotels nearby. And its the perfect place to watch 4 of july fireworks. Amazing place to go and see. Have been here twice already and both times were at night. The lights and the path is a sight to see. Many people just walk around, run or ride bikes. It is free, but you have to pay for parking.

What a great experience walking along the Riverwalk in downtown Tampa!! So many different groups of people out enjoying the city views and pedestrian areas (all ages and backgrounds skating, biking, strolling, sitting, etc). Clean, safe fun for all. We were there at night and the city and harbor views are great! I wish I lived in a city like this!!

My fiance and myself really enjoyed walking this. We are excited to come back again and again! It's a beautiful place to destress and you quickly forget the hustle and bustle of the city. Parking was easy to find, but keep in mind it's metered. If you just enjoy walking and being outdoors definitely check out the riverwalk!

This is a nice walk by the river and along the way you have parks and places to eat. There is a taxi boat that picks you up and drops you off at different stops they've got by the river, this was very cool.

This is very lively and has beautiful views. The walkway itself has beautiful arches and curves in it, so it's not boring. At night it is lit up in beautiful colors. There are always plenty of people walking or running by, so you feel safe. There are plenty of entry and exit points on the walkway. It was kept clean and overall well kept.

A fantastic walk along the river. Great for hanging out with friends, recreation, and dates. The views are scenic for the most part and it's nice to have Armature Works and Sparkman's Wharf at the two ends of the walk. There are also several parks and restaurants along the walk.

Nice place, but parking meter prices and hours changed and not in consumers' favor. I remember when downtown parking was free. Now they want $2.50 per hour. So its gonna cost about $10 every time I want to take my dog out here for a walk? Does that sound right to y'all? I remember when parking was free, or free after 5pm. They're charging till midnight!

I arrive an hour before work begins. So, I thought I would make time move faster and ride my bike the length and check it out. Beautiful, peaceful, and a lot of history throughout the riverwalk. You have to take the time to stop and read the short plaques under each bust of someone important, from the past, that helped develop Tampa into the city it is, today. Also, each donated plaque along the walkway tells their own brief story. I recommend a walk, or a calm bike ride. There is, also, a cute, little playground area for the young children to enjoy a popsicle or grilled cheese (too bad the little snack place was closed.) You can bring your other children to romp around and chase each other, barking, a few feet away. Great place to fill some time!

The Tampa Riverwalk is a great people place. The location, design, and activities make this a wonderful venue for locals and city tourists. There are outdoor things to do for everyone. Biking, walking, children's water park, and boating are favorite activities. Plan to spend the day. Street parking is free for four hours by the Armature Works. Visit the Armature Works for a rooftop river view and an excellent lunch or dinner. Food and drinks are reasonably priced with a selection from amazing pizza, mexican to mediterrainian. A taxi water day pass around $23 provides great city views and easy transport. The water taxi will connect you to several venues around the Riverwalk. The pass is especially nice to relax at the end of the day and grab a few great sunset pictures. If you are visiting the city add this venue to your 'must see' bucket list. April and May are great times to visit with low humidity and cool weather to enjoy the best of Tampa.

Great for a nice walk or bike ride. Too hot in the summer since there's no shade along the walk so I suggest plenty of sun block, lots of water, and a hat. There are businesses that have a bar outside so you can get drinks or water.

I love the Tampa Bay riverwalk! It's absolutely beautiful and amazing! My biggest complaint is that the bathrooms were locked! I walked forever in order to go to the bathroom, left my family behind only to realize that they literally padlocked the doors! There was a lady working at the concession stand in that small building that holds the bathrooms. This is an open outdoor area. I don't know if it's because of covid, but I don't understand why they can't just clean their bathrooms or have a cleaning schedule!? When people are outdoors how are they supposed to go to the bathroom? Covid or not! Most restaurants won't let you go in to go to the bathroom unless you are a customer and what if you have your pet with you? And after you walk all that way to go to the bathroom.....where do you find somewhere to go? This place is usually full of people in the middle of the afternoon. It does make me consider whether or not I want to go to the Riverwalk and enjoy a day out with my family. 🤔

Very beautiful scenery with well a made structures along the path for sitting & relaxing. The path is very wide for running, bike riding, rollerblading or walking... There are stunning views around the bridges, University, and hotels!! The rest areas are well lit with colored lighting to create beautiful mood pictures!!! It's a great place to have some privacy with your family or date! Every area of the Riverwalk that I saw looked safe as well.

I have moved from west coast to florida. I find Riverwalk very scenic, gives you an opportunity to walk, roller blade, skateboard. It's a 5k walk back and forth if I am correct. Beautiful scenery with high tall buildings, condos, hotels, park to play for kids, benches along the walk to sit. It's just beautiful walk with artsy structures you'll see along. Children's museum around the corner. I saw and learnt so much on the walk. And I had best time with a friend on this Riverwalk. Definitely recommend to everyone. Street parking is free or park for $5 in Armature works and start walking. Kid friendly, Riverwalk 😊

We've been walking along the Riverwalk both during the day and later during the evening. It's a nice walk, vet clean, with art and statues spread out along the walk. During the night it's a bit more extraordinary with the lights and all. Strolling along the Riverwalk is relaxing and a must when in Tampa.

Great place to walk, run or bike. Riverwalk is about 2.5 miles long with multiple places to stop and watch the boats. Also numerous places to stop and eat or have a drink. There are also a number of parks scattered along the way. Some of the parks have nice play areas for children. There are large areas that have little to no shade so be prepared for that.

This Riverwalk has it all, lots of beautiful scenery, dog parks, kid parks, swings, some bars, pop up beer area, restaurants at each end. We walked one way then took the water taxi back, super fun.

It's so calm and serene taking this river walk. Perfect place to go out with friends, family or your local Ed one. Parking is available close by and area is very safe. People are friendly and polite. Best part is that there are bunch of restaurants that you can enjoy. At the end of riverwalk there are boat companies where you can rent boats.
