Great time. Staff is friendly. This is a full hook up RV resort. They offer concrete bathrooms with showers. They have a heated and clean pool. There are social gatherings nightly with different games offered too. There are horse shoe pits, shuffle board, and a pickel ball court. Very close to several Tampa Bay attractions and the pricing is affordable.

The girls in the office were so cool and funny, they made checking in a breeze. The spaces are nice and the neighbors were very nice and polite.

Great RV Park. The staff and our neighbors were wonderful. Laundry, restroom and shower facilities were all super clean. The park had events such as movie night, games and a variety of food trucks. Our site was clean and level as well as shaded. The only downside was being pelted by falling acorns. The park is close to hiking/biking/paddling trails as well as groceries and restaurants.

Arrived late September of 2021. Had a great visit and really enjoyed getting to know the residents. Security is amazing and always out and about checking on the park. Staff was always on top of taking care of any problems you may have. It’s super close to casino, fairgrounds, and Busch Gardens.

Very nice RV park, clean restrooms and nice laundry facilities. They have lots of activities every week and for all the major holidays. 24 hour security guard as well who is very vigilant and helpful! A peaceful spot with a nice pool too!

Great overnight stay. Everyone was helpful and a pleasure to work with. Reasonable rates. Didn't have time to enjoy amenities, other than 2 dog parks, really nice with lots of trees and shade. Escorted to our site which was good size for 34' motor home & tow. Most appear to have concrete pads, in good condition. No pull through, but lots of room to unhook at check in lane. Would spend time here again.

I just moved to the Tampa area and am staying full time in my motor home, which is a first for me as well. After a lot of research I decided to go with Happy Traveler RV Park, the monthly rates were good, especially when you include, water, cable, sewer and trash. The only extra you pay for is electric. The other full timers here are very nice and look after each other. I purchased my own internet so I can work from home. Because it's wifi I share it and the expense with one of my neighbors. Works out great for both of us. They also have full time security at the entrance and roving patrols. The lots are big, easily fitting my 36' MH and I still have room for 2 cars and a 12x20' AstroTurf grass, chairs, BBQ and picnic table. The swimming pool is nice, the laundry rooms are my only negative in the park. No A/C in them, very hot and muggy when you do laundry on these 90+ degrees days. The tree shaded lots are awesome and I would recommend this park to any weekender or full timer!

Fantastic Experience! We came for an extended stay and were very happy with the location, amenities, and cleanliness of the park. I was able to work from the RV using the parks wifi and it worked seamlessly. They have social events each evening and the hosts were a blast for the ones that we attended. Currently they have food trucks come in twice a week that seem to be received well by the campers. The grounds are maintained and even though they allow pets I haven't seen "evidence" left by any of the pooches that I encountered. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for one cranky maintenance guy that would patrol the streets and never had anything nice to say.

Great staff. Park is clean and well maintained. Prices are good. Restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. Pool is clean. They have propane on sight. We stayed there for six months and currently have our RV in storage there. Pet friendly.

#169 The park was shaded, quiet, and reasonable. We stayed while my wife was receiving treatments at Moffitt Cancer Center. Office personnel went out of their way to make her stay comfortable. Thanks Ladies!!

It's an okay spot.....beaches are Miles away Overpriced for the amenities. The workampers seem to do a lot ...... Even though the workampers "pay" is trading time/ labor for a spot ,the office "workamper staff" could use a refresher course in customer service....or more help so they don't always seem so overwhelmed. And like every other RV Park the wifi is spotty at best. So after a month .....Can't enjoy the beautiful evening due to one guest constantly burning stinking wood in a campfire every single night....Not to considerate of others..... With all the trees in the park campfires should be Banned... Wifi connection is useless....Up until a week ago there were three wifi connection options Now there's one...And unless your standing right next to the wifi box...It doesn't work. When brought to the workampers attention in the office ,again it appears that the lady is overwhelmed.... Update on the Campfire trash burner it appears that management has shut down this foolishness... Update #2 Feb 6, Same guy burning plastic and stinking wood in an Uncovered Fire Pit. Seems if your a permanent resident you can do what you please.

We loved this campground! The staff were so friendly and the place was amazing- really close to Busch Gardens, only 20 minute drive from Downtown Tampa. Amenities were great. Wi-Fi was fast. Really enjoyed our stay!

This is one of my favorite parks I’ve ever stayed at. My husband and I are full time travelers due to his work. We stayed at this campground for a couple months. The people who run it are very kind! The laundry facilities are very nice and the washers and dryers work excellent. The pool is great! They’re always having fun events to get people together (this May have stopped due to covid). They are very pet friendly! They have a dog park and they also have stations with free dog potty bags and baskets to put your dogs potty bags in. The pool is very nice. They have a pickle ball court and horse shoe. The price can’t be beat. They’re really close to the state fair grounds. I highly recommend staying here.

Established 55+ RV Park, AAA approved and Good Sam Club. 200+ sites, full hookup, pool, clubhouse/cafe, propane fill, 2 bathroom/shower buildings, 3 laundromats, RV storage area, horseshoe pits and shuffleboard. Pickle Ball Court, New ownership in the past year, various activities and food trucks during the month.

Happy Traveler is a nice old Florida style RV park.many lots are partially tree covered. Spanish moss and all. They have activities if that’s your thing. Currently three evenings a week they feature local food trucks! Guest may enjoy a heated pool. It’s not huge but nice. Other activities include, movies,poker,cards, ice cream socials ,campfires and more. I love the resident ducks! And the mature residents is such a joy! This is a full or part time park. The rates are very reasonable! Management is firm, but very fair. We thoroughly enjoy living at Happy Travelers !!

Shady in older part. Tight maneuvering. Power on one leg of 50 Amp would drop as low as 101 volts so our EMS/Surge protector would shut us off. Apparently there is an older and bad transformer for this park. Staff was very nice and apologetic. Lots of planned activities.

A very beautiful tree shaded resort. It's a 55 and over Park with pool pickleball horseshoes shuffleboard clubhouse activities 85° heated pool Winters. Great staff.

Sally in the office was a pleasure doing business with, when we arrived she had somebody show us to our site which was lot number 28, a pull through site. Had every amenity that we needed and then some, close to Busch gardens. Cable, water, and sewer available at this campground. Had a heated pool and mailboxes for extended stays, also has nightly security guards. Had three areas for laundry and a rec room by the office with pool table and TV, events are held here year-round; also has food trucks on location certain nights. I would definitely recommend this place, our recent stay here was on October 28th through November 1st 2020

This is a nice, clean, well run rv park. Lots of steady occupants, making it cozy and neat. We were severely delayed on our travels through Orlando, so we missed out on our camping spot in the Hillsborough state park. It was dark, pouring rain, so I called around to RV parks close by, no one answered. Until.. we called Happy Traveler, Dennis answered our call and guided us to our awesome pull through campsite. A neighbor helped hook us up, super friendly people here! Not too much to do for kids, so we’re moving on, but definitely worth the stay.

This seems like a nice little Park, plenty of shade around the space that we got to park in. It's an older Park, and Under New Management. They were Remodeling and the front laundry room, bath house and pool area were closed so we didn't get to use those. However the back bath house and laundry room were both open and they were pretty nice, and I understood the management to say that they had not been remodeled yet. It's nice and close to Busch Gardens, only six and a half miles away and we will be staying there again, probably this coming up October.

The park isn't perfect, but the management is awesome and the renovations look great. I'm not even 55+, but they still let me store my RV there and occasionally bring it out into the park for a few hours to charge up and such. They were extremely helpful today when I sold my RV and were very friendly and polite to my buyer - also under 55 - which speaks volumes about the management. I hope we were quiet and respectful while there, and thanks again for treating us so well!

The office staff are great! They work with you to help make you stay as good as possible. However, the Maintenance guy makes you feel like you are putting him out to do anything for you.

This campground was fairly decent The facilities are well taken care of however their dog policy leads something to be desired as some of the longer-term residence don't seem to abide by it. Had my dog attacked the last day which ruined the entire stay by someone sitting on the front porch by the office with their dog not on a leash.

We love this place. My wife and I to Tampa for my Doctors appointment. We feel in love with this place and bring our R.V. there now every month. Everyone there is so nice and polite. The staff are very professional, very polite and so nice. The place is very clean. I will recommend Happy Travelers to anyone I meet with an R.V. that is heading to Tampa.

A 1 month reservation turned into a 3 month stay. It has the "old Florida" feel about it with spanish moss dripping off the many oaks lining the wide roads. Many long termers, but no park models, double wides, lanai, or long term camper conversions so it still looks and feels like a campground. Friendly staff and residents. Heated pool, daily activities, rec. room with book and DVD library, clean grounds and bath houses, pickleball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, 2 fenced dog runs (1 is exceptionally large. Our golden retriever misses it), food trucks, outdoor movie nights, community fires, pot locks on occasion, no apparent breed or number restrictions on dogs but check 1st (saw a couple with 4 small dogs and 1 person with a clearly pit bull mix). Portable propane tank pick up and delivery, stationary propane tank delivery/filling. Safe with security shack at entrance and on site Manager. On site cleaning and repair folks. Close to Tampa's amenities like shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. Very close to several county parks for biking, fishing, walking, etc. Good water pressure, +-60 cable TV channels and strong WiFi throughout. Site size is adequate.

RV Storage This is the best storage area in the area and reasonably priced. The storage lot is huge grassy site that is very well maintained. The owners are friendly and accommodating. I recall when registering they told me the rules, all security features and what was most thrilling "Leave enough room between your RV and your neighbors to open your slide-out if necessary". The site is completely enclosed in a 6' fence with a secured gate and access 24X7. I would highly recommend this storage facility.

I have been a storage customer at Happy Traveler RV for more than 7 years now. Mary & Tom the new management team have done an outstanding job since they have arrived. The overall campground park has had a wonderful transformation regarding upgrading the facilities and improving the physical environment. You stop by the office and Mary always has a smile and is ready and willing to do whatever she can to assist you in your camping needs. Tom the "outside" guy also does a fantastic job providing help you need to ensure you have an enjoyable visit. Having stayed at numerous RV campgrounds traveling to California, throughout the Midwest and north to Maine. I rate Happy Traveler RV Park FIVE STARS

What a nice park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They showed us our site before we moved our RV there and then helped us back it in. New WiFi worked great. There is a large, treed dog park to unleash the pooches.

Seems to be mostly residents with a few snow birds mixed in. Roads are paved but blacktop overdue for topcoat so hard for dogs paws. Only a few satellite friendly sites. Neighbor attacked us with tape measure upon arrival on driver's side to make us aware we had 4 inches left on patio side to move over. They are that tight. No gravel in sites, ant hills abound. They have a cute Cafe with set meals on many days. They are affordable for the area which justifies all of the above in my opinion, get what you pay for. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Very nice hosts. Some spots can be a little tough to get into with a large camper. Nice canopy covering from the trees keeps most of the park in shade. 3 laundry rooms, fenced dog park, small pool.

Happy Traveler R-V Park is a nice campground for Motorhomes and campers. Each site has big beautiful Live Oak trees which provide lots of shade. There is an older heated swimming pool but the water was immaculately clean and blue and warm. They allow and even provide floats and noodles for pool. Most of time you have pool to yourself. No concrete pads. Our picnic table was in poor condition but it wasn't an issue for us. Full hook-ups, No need to go to a dump station. $2.00 a day for electric on top of rate. Also only a few sites with cable, that costs you an extra $2.00 a day, also. Not the best channels on their cable, but o.k. Wi-fi gave us some trouble, maybe all the huge oak trees surrounding us? No pull-thru sites but we've not had anyone behind us when we got here nor when we leave tomorrow so we can hook up car hauler and put car on as if it were a pull-thru. Very quiet. Many people live here permanently and long term. They all have pretty plants around their campsite and whole campground has plants, which is nice. 2 laundry rooms, an air conditioned Rec room with very large tv, tables, chairs, games, movies (mostly tapes), games, books, and brochures for places, with an urn of coffee brewed. They had a 4th of July get together (on 4/5) , everyone to bring a side to go with provided hamburgers and hot dogs, decorated for 4th. There is a nice outdoor covered porch with ceiling fans attached to rec room. Diner no longer exists. No groceries here, but 2 min. to Winn Dixie. VERY convenient to stores, Busch Gardens, Aquatica, etc. Dogs allowed. They have ice, soda machine, and propane. Many chairs and rockers around laundry room and office. Seems cozy. Rate was $29.22 a night for June and $31.12 for July. They did not give us the $135.00 weekly rate (reg. rate for 3 extra days). Hope to straighten that out when we leave. There are some friendly people who work and live here. One of staff went out of her way to let us into a large storage area field for our bigger dogs to run around off leash. Would definitely come back.

Pros - Awesome staff, friendly people, nice quiet tranquil place. Cons - Worst wifi imaginable, if you want to do more than check your email on occasion, forget it, it's dial up slow and connection is wildly unstable.

Great RV resort. Nice pool. No more propane through. Only negatives are homeless bums that have moved in and as a result we had break ins through fencing and high end bikes stolen. Meanwhile, the sheriff takes a report and does nothing. Thanks, Chad!!
