This place is unbelievable for kayaking. The water is pristine. You can see manatees. If you get there early in the morning, you have a great chance to see dolphins. The course is really easy to navigate with all the tall white marker poles.
The park itself is really nice, even their playground is a good one. There are lots of camping spaces and it's so much easier getting a space here than at Fort DeSoto (which is an awesome place of course).

Entrance Fee: $2
Bathrooms, water, food: Multiple restrooms soread throughout the park, no water fountains or food present
How well-maintained:Very well maintained, trails were clean and lots of park rangers present
Amount of people: Not a lot of people on the trails themselves, lots of kids at the playground and beach however, and an excessive amount of fishermen
Quietness: Kids were very loud, but traffic noises were a minimum
Unique: I saw a bunch of manatees on one of the trails, pretty cool
Place/trails size: Very long trail loop on one section, everywhere else is pretty much just a sit and enjoy your time
Seating: Lots of benches and pavilions to use
Whats allowed: Boats, fishing, kayaking, dogs, biking are all accepted
Bugs: I saw little to no bugs here which was nice
Amenities: Multiple playgrounds, multiple boat ramps, lots of fishing decks and look out points
Overall opinion: A very well maintained, nice experience overall to enjoy a nice afternoon and explore some scenery.

This is a great place to camp you can bring your family there's plenty to do. Got a great fishing spot very nice if you like kayaking the cleanest bathroom and shower I've ever seen! But hands down they have the best Park rangers we Ever came across. I would recommend you bring your family here and make a memorable vacation vacation!!

Beautiful hidden gem in the bay area, only stumbled upon by chance. Nice, clean park with plenty of picnic areas. Will be coming back in spring to kayak!
Naty B
Great little beach area, small enough that my 2 year old can be loose and I don't have to worry about his running off. The water is very shallow so safe for kids to play in. There are all kinds of fun shells to pick up and the sand is so soft. This is our new beach spot. Theres also a playground but once my kids were at that little beach there was no going back to the playground.
Miki
Lovely little and quiet beach with grills and playpark for kids.....enjoy Florida nature.there is clean restrooms, water spot, very well equiped ramp for boat the entrance it is only 2 dollars

First off this is a fantastic Park we would have given it a 5 but not the parks fault but you can not set outside at dawn or dusk due to the no-see-ums, they are terrible little biting things.
We stayed in the West camp ground #48, and it was very close to the bathhouse, which was nice and clean , lots to do outside of Ruskin. You have Tampa and St. Petersburg and Treasure Inland and the Manatee viewing park, we did not see any manatees while there but still a nice park to visit. We rented 2 Kayaks our next to last day the price is great $25.00 for 4 hours and some of the places you can see are beautiful. We did see manatees our last morning. The park ranger told us they were out by the playground, so we headed that was about 9am, and sure enough saw about 4 or so and a dolphin. The park rangers at this park are very nice and friendly. They do not take reservations so you will either have to boondock the night before or be at the gate at 8 am to put your name on a list and they let you enter the park to wait for a phone call to let you know if you got a spot or not, but you can spend the few hours at the boat launch or the playground. All sights are on the water. We would for sure visit this park again.

Best kayaking ramp ever! Clear markers for kayaking trail. Pavilions, clean bathrooms, beach area, everything you need to get away! We saw manatees, crabs, and dolphins and no one else! I really didn’t want to share this fabulous find.

Very nice park. Loved it,went camping with my husband and it was so nice and had an awesome time
Matthew V
This is a great place for a weekend stay. There is plenty of space and plenty of campsites at this park. The beaches and campsites are kept clean. They have a small playset for the kids that is pretty close to the water and parking. The bathrooms here are kept really clean. A great spot for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, bike riding, and swimming.
Mika Papius
Went to pick up sandbags for storm. Got in line at 6 even though they didn't open til 7. Everything went smooth except after I got sandbags to fill I told guy parking that my neighbor would help because my arm was in a sling and didn't want to block a space for someone else to fill their bags. The guy at the back was rude about where I parked even though I explained why I was parking beside his vehicle. He could have handled the situation better. The park is a great place to fish when the weather isn't bad
John Parrish
Great times kayakin, fishin, and bikin !
Chris, our favorite Ranger could give lessons to State and National park Rangers about dealing with the public.
I’m conflicted about giving such a good review, because I don’t want this place getting overcrowded
Mark Buchanan
Stayed at the campground for a week, nice campground, large spaces, most sites back up to the water. Great place for water activities from kayaking, to fishing of all types since the park in on Tampa Bay. Great place to watch sunsets. We were there to visit friends and family but spent a few hours crusing the mangrove canals photographing birds.
Michael Hios
This park is great for fishing, boating, camping, walking, and nature viewing. There are lots of wildlife to be seen. There’s plenty of parking. The boat ramp is very well maintained and the other facilities are clean and nice.
It’s a great dog-friendly park, so be sure to bring your furry family members too.
Keith Wolf
Took my boat down to EG to get some salt therapy in. Unfortunately upon launching the boat I ran into a frozen steering issue. What a bummer. No fishing for me today. Highlight of the day though was the park ranger, Chris. He happened to roll by while I was trying to diagnose the issue. Went out of his way to try to help me out. Awesome dude.
Ryan Mefford
A very beautiful, serene beach and children’s park. The shore was a bit rockier than I was expecting which might make me think twice when running through the list of beaches in the area. Ultimately, I think what really sells me on this beach is that it feels very private. It’s a little too small and ‘natural’ to really draw in a large number of rambunctious people. Although it could be that my visit during the off season has given me a false impression.
Russell Johnson
A relatively inexpensive park at $2 entrance fee. Always lots of pelicans around and if you take a little time you'll spot some of the resident racoons. Some good views of Tampa and Saint Petersburg across the bay. There's a boat launch, lots of areas to drop a fishing line, and camp grounds for those bringing trailers.
Big O!
This is a great county park. There are many things to do that include but are not limited to; camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, biking, playground etc. There are plenty of pavilions to rent and bathroom facilities. I love the kayak launch. it has a wash station and is set yp for the kayak angler or kayaker. I will be coming for ywars to come. in the summer the swimming area is also nice.
DK1981
Spent New Years Eve eve here with family. Had fun kayaking around the mangroves. Lots of little secluded places to fish or sit and relax. Playground for the kids. Plenty of parking. Great place for kids to explore nature. We saw several Manatees during the afternoon
valerie maud
What a BEAUTIFUL county park! Such a lush place filled with wildlife and the BEST FISHING in Hillsborough County! Watch the manatees in frolics in the mornings and the snook swirl at sunset... you might catch the raccoons 🦝 cruising the tide line.. and plenty of osprey, herons and cranes feasting on the bounty! Two camp grounds with water & electric and handicap accessible bathrooms with showers make camping more like glamping. The rangers and staff are delightful and interact every chance they get—and 4 beautiful ‘Host’ sites for those who want to stay a bit longer. All sites are first come first serve and it fills up fast once the temps drop.
Diane Masson
Stayed for a month in the RV. No sewer. Weak Wi-fi during peak times. Rented kayaks there and saw manatees next us. It was so awesome. Great birds and fishing too.
awilda masso
Great place for a family gathering. Cheap parking and plenty to keep kids entertained. There are pavilions for bday parties and picking and plenty of fishing spots.
Linda McNatt
Awesome place for bike riding walking boating but if you cannot handle the little biting no-see-ums it's a good place to stay the beach is not the best though looking out at Tampa Bay
Rosalie B
Beautiful place! There is a chance you see manatees in the water!
frank crawford
Love this place. Great camping and boat launch. Been here multiple times and will be back on a regular basis.
Looshone Scastara
Great park/beach to go to with the family. Could use a little clean up to make look nicer but best in the local area!
j h
It's a small beach, I mean super small as far as the area where you can swim...but if you're looking for kayaking it's a great place to be. 2$ entrance fee, 25$ for kayak rentals, they have camping, boat ramps and covered areas to cook along with grills.
Ciara Popovich
First we went fishing on the camping side. There were these little bugs biting us to pieces. So we moved to a little dock on the other side and it was beautiful over there. Definitely some fish biting but just eating our bait. We didn't manage to catch anything. We tried at another little beach area but there were some dogs playing and boats going by so it wasn't great for fishing there. Also alot of barnacles, my daughter tripped and cut her hand on one. The park people were friendly. Everything was very nice.
Tommy Caulder
Great spot to just sit back and relax. Areas for different types of activities. Boat ramp, beach , play ground , canoe/kayak launch. Even little hide away areas to just relax and enjoy the views.. well kept bathrooms. Picnic areas are available as well.
Sizzletastic TV
Beautiful nature park with beach access that isnt really swimable as much as it's there to just appreciate nature. Has 2 playgrounds for kids. BBQ areas and decent looking camping spots. I always enjoy the quiet nature of this place.
Diana Tiwari
One of my favorite campgrounds. Excellent boat ramp, and a nice little beach!
Adi Lothbrok
Nice place for Camping.East side camp sites are much bigger and spacious.you can do kayaking and fishing.but have a good bug spray handy for evenings.
Kristy Otterbein
Fun to explore and see wildlife, fish, boat or kayak. See Tampa in the distance and even Manatee if your lucky.
Yvonne Luke
Great little park tucked away in south Hillsborough county that offers camping, canoe and kayak rentals & boat launch. There are a couple of beachy areas, but it's mainly campgrounds and picnic areas. Make sure to bring plenty of bug spray and sunscreen!
Dan Barter
beautiful spot to go bank fishing or have a cookout. it also offers two nice playgrounds. There's plenty of amenities for enjoyable visitors. camping is also available , the site's appeared very pleasant.
Shawn Reum
Nice clean park with lots of space. Has a playground and swings next to the beach. Only $2.00 to get in with a car of less then 8 people. Can't beat it for a daytime get away destination.
Ian H
Wonderful place to relax and kayak the inlets $2 parking all day nice little beaches / boat ramp & kiddies play area
Zaynah Trejo
Great park with Ton's of options for adults but mainly kids. I wish some of the parts of the main side of park were fixed already but that's minor considering the ocean 🌊 and the big play grounds for the kiddos and the boat ramps and great fishing spot. I have been going here since before I was born and now my kids love going there too. It just keeps getting better and better.
Dot Burkley Duvall
Have loved this place since I was a little girl. Brings back great memories as we make new one's prices are amazing
BigBootyJudy Comedy
Spent the whole afternoon with my dogs here. FYI they appear to be re surfacing the Beach area parking by the boat launch area... Even with that going on the Solitude is wonderful during the week there's literally no one here you can't find a better spot to spend a measly $2 parking fee and enjoy that which is Tampa Bay! If you visit here you won't be sorry it's very relaxing!
Lori Burrows
Nice little park. Great for families. A little white sand beach. Fishing area, camping, boat ramp and pavilions.
Chuck Jean
It is an awesome place to sit back relax and fish quiet for the most part people have weddings camping cookouts Pavilions for shade very respectful place I have been camping and fishing out there for 26 years
Lori Johnson
Amazing workers! Super helpful! Came to reserve a campsite and the lady who helped me was very kind! Great directions! Will be visiting again soon!
Todd Applegate
Very clean shower. Very hot water. Nice campgrounds. Great areas to fish from shore. We caught a very nice snook that was legal size to keep. We saw some manatees surfacing early morning also.
Heather Hills
I work nights in the medical field, so this spot has become my personal sanctuary omw back home sometimes. Opens at 6am. Friendly staff and groundskeepers...tons of boating/camping spots, bbq & play areas, kayak/canoe channels, not crowded, and hidden little gem nooks to nestle your hammock in. $2 admission for the day, but for $50 u can get a year pass!
TRACEY ANN Robinson
Some great improvements have been done to this park. The playground was clean and the equipment was in good condition. Parking was easy. The beach was clean as well as the facilities. Nice place to hang with family, go Boating or jet skiing. Perfect for picnics.
Agra Decido
This was a awesome place to camp but be aware of the vicious noseem nats at dusk and dawn.. 🤕🤕🙃🙃 Thats nature.. Comes with the territory.. Great place for the family... …
Christine Gregory
Lots of places to fish, kayak and relax. The kayak launch/ trail was well marked and perfect for all ages
Andrea Rios
Really nice place. First time and there is so much to do. We drove almost 3 hours for a car meet and there is room for everyone.
Andy Shreeve
Only $2 for entry (more if you're trailering a boat and launching there). I kayak / fish a lot of spots in Florida, and this is one of the very few that have a cool kayak rinse off station at the launch.
Tyler Boyle
Really nice little park near Apollo beach. Seems primarily for boats but has a small beach and playground with bathrooms. Has a nice view of downtown Tampa skyscrapers.
monk b
Great place to visit, fish, camp, take the kids to swim the beach is only about 3ft deep at high tide an 4 to 4 1/2 at high tide an all around awesome place to watch a sunset
Charles Hardway
Best place to spend a nice quiet afternoon
R Rice
Beautifully redone park for the kids. Great docks, covered picnic areas and more.
Susanne Wong
Nice waterfront sites. Lots of bugs here but it's nature after all. Small playground at campsites and the big one is a hot walk or drive away. Overall it's a nice place to spend a few days. It's a work in progress. Note to campers, please clean up after themselves in the bathrooms. That goes for every campsite.
Kayla Filyaw
My other half and I kayak’d out and it was absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to do it again.
Tammi Voskuhl
This was a cute little place. We would go back, but not until everything opens, again. We didn't mind paying $2, but unfortunately, due to Covid, no swimming or using picnic tables. We had our lunch, at the playground, on a bench. Want to revisit, to go canoeing & swimming.
Helen Nardick
Perfect place for kayaking. Plenty of hidden coves and beautiful sights. Today we saw a manatee, a school of baby rays, snook, sheephead and lots of mullet.
Denise David Miura Shellhart
Nice little beach , bad side too much seaweed. My kids loved so good for little kids (toddlers) we walk around and it’s beautiful. Have place to grill, not sure about the price ! Not crowded
Robert Pignatello
Great fishing spots here. Lots of little canals and spots to set up or kayak. Kayak fishing is great. Snook and Red Fish is plentiful. As for the park, it's great. Small admission fee per vehicle. They have a boat ramp, kayak rentals and a beach. Just be careful by the boat wash, Raccoons tend to come out when cars and boats pull up looking to get fed. There are signs everywhere to not feed the wildlife but apparently people don't listen because they'll come real close to you. Just a heads up! Park is very clean. Something to do for everyone.
Tom deStefano
It's a great place. Rates are very reasonable we were park host their.
Josie Fyffe
Beautiful park. Great playgrounds for kids. Nice place to go have a picnic, camping, kayaking, fishing and launching your boat.
Tom Cerrigione
Clean park with an ok beach. Good for a leisurely walk, but, not really any trails that we found. $2 entry.
John Klopfenstein
Great spacious park. Plenty of areas to fish and relax. Wow bathrooms were very clean.
Margie Sisior
Lady at the gate nice & friendly, answered my questions I’d definitely go back ! Over & Over
Pam Powell - Friedler
We l9ve this park for so many reasons, camping, kayaks, great beach!
Elizabeth Noblin-Lynn
Beautiful park!! Nice staff at gate & rangers roaming property. Even saw some friendly racoons! ☺
Tamara Meneely
Wonderful place. Beautiful boat ramp with great kids play ground and beach. Clean bathrooms and trash. Love it
Cheryl Whittington
They have a great playground with pavilions. Everything was clean and well taken care of. It made for a great setting for a birthday party.
George Westlake
Very nice place well maintained other than mosquitoes
Lisa Vogenitz
Beautiful place to picnic, fish, camp, and kayak. They also have a great boat ramp with easy access and plenty of parking.
Jeffrey Clayton
The best park around just got spoiled I guess with how clean the bathrooms were during covid every couple of hours they would clean no bugs or smells
Demaris Ford
This is a privately owned preserve for camping and RV use. Reasonable rates. Playgrounds, nice facilities, and boat ramps. They do not take reservations. It is first come first serve. Daily passes to use the park can be purchased for $2
kool mudkips
Beautiful place to spend time. Never been very busy when I was there. Great place
Daniel Kellner
Fantastic place for launching your boat, big or small onto Tampa Bay.$7 includes $2 for park entrance and $5 for boat launching. Camping on water access sites and all are nice size.
Bob Jacoby
Very clean, quiet, family park with lots of outdoor activity and convenient to Tampa and st petersburg and area beaches and hiking. Great staff. Extremely secure. Can rent kayaks cheap, fish off back of many sites or other areas, small beach, playground. Dog Friendly. I paid 18/night 55plus discount. All sites have electric and water. Great hosts keep bathrooms and hot showers clean. But its first come - stays busy - best to show up on Monday
Amy P
Love spending time there. All kinds of wildlife to see
Talha Mojawalla
Incredible views, quiet park, and very cheap entry!
Cassie Chong
Love this park, I've been coming here for years. It's really good to have parties or events. Or even just to go for a walk
Jmack3d M
Great park for various uses or events. Hiking, boating, camping, picnic pavilions and more.
robert Milner
We stay here a lot my wife loves to fish and camp here. It's a nice place always. Been coming for many years
Wayne Brisbane (SmokinPirate)
Nice clean place with many places to fish. Camp grounds are nice also. Water every direction you turn. Great place to take your kids or meet your family for special outing. I will definitely go back.
Ronald Dominique
We had 2 kayaks on a trailer & entry fee to the park was just $2 .. The course was marked and we had a great time. Awesome canoe/kayak launch sloops. Kayak washing station nest to launch. Here on a Saturday and only a handful of kayaks. Most of them were fishing. Two campgrounds & water access at dozens of picnic tables & campsites. This place is HUGE ! Many playgrounds & nice restrooms & many pavilions. The beach is closed maybe because after Labor Day? We have been at most every kayak spot in Tampa Bay. This is one of the nicest places without a doubt !!
Alex Jenkins
Absolute diamond in the rough!!! Beautiful setting!! Basic, but VERY NICE facilities. Spacious sites with fires ring, good sturdy picnic table, 30 amp power and of course water. Bathroom was clean, good showers with hot water. Nice dressing areas. All sites are on the water, some on both sides. Very nice boat ramps, boat washes, playground, picnic areas, fishing piers. WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED?
Mr.Philmon
It’s an awesome reserve, decent place for a short, fun family fishing trip in the morning. Very clean area and PERFECT for parties, right on the bay to! Great view and it’s awesome to see TECO down there.
Megan McGarrell
This is a fantastic park. It has beautiful beach access and 2 nice playgrounds. We even saw manatees swimming by the mangroves. There are plenty of picnic and grilling shelters and great camping too. A great place to spend a day or weekend.
Noemi Bruening
Most everything was closed but it is a very nice park with views
Katie Menard
Love it here! Can't wait to go back.
Peter Roina
Nice stop to see wildlife and dip your toes in the water.
Hippie Bunni
I used to love this place as a kid. I tried to visit it when I got older but it wasn't as wonderful. They no longer allow you to swim there I mean the water wasn't the best to begin with but when you're a kid you like really don't care where you swim. There's way too many horseshoe crabs which is kind of like why I don't swim there. They have a campground though I've camped there like maybe a couple of times with my family. One time we were camping and raccoons will steal your stuff they like do not care that you were there and they have no problem with people at all my dad was sitting at one of the picnic tables and a raccoon came up as he was eating a sandwich and stared him down until he just gave that raccoon his sandwich it was kind of funny though to be honest. So definitely do not leave your cooler or your food out in the open because a raccoon will rob you. The one thing that I did not like about the campground though is that the shower part the very tiny showers and I think there's only two showers like two for the girls and two for the boys and you can't lock a door everything's open so as a kid I definitely had to do like the buddy system just to make sure we were safe.
Rachel
First time here. Drove through the whole place, stopped and put our feet in the water. It was beautiful and peaceful.
Lots of people launching boats, kayaks, and canoes. The camping and picnic areas looked great as well. Looking forward to coming back with family and friends!
(P.S. The price was awesome 👌 Nice not to be gauged when going through the front gate😉)
Tony Thompson
Nice place to explore, but we were limited in our time here with arriving in the early evening. Would like to come back and see more of the park.
Juan Conil
Very manicured, beautiful grounds. Campsites a little too close for my liking. BRING OFF! We were eaten alive by sand flies, we left early because of it. Also, no refund or credit policy. Otherwise the place was great. Plenty of fishing areas, you can bring your boat too. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Raccoons are friendly, I guess people feed them but I do not suggest it.
Rose Munoz
This is a beautiful Park also has a beach those who wish can also bring boats, jet skis n fish too. You would have to bring your own grill also only a $2.00 to enter the park there's a playground as well very very clean n dog friendly. We just had a family reunion this past weekend everybody ha an amazing time we even had a family DJ would recommend this park 😁
Gerry Harris
This park is Awesome. Brought the family out for some kayaking. They rent them there very reasonable priced. Everyone had a blast. There are a few playground s for the children. They also have a Great boat ramp there. Great place to spend a day.
Rick Penrose
This is a great place to launch a kayak from plenty of places to paddle to and places to beach where there are bathrooms near by
Lori Wright
Absolutely Beautiful and Super Clean,
Fishing, Kayaking, playground for kids, swimming.
Manatees, Dolphins wildlife can be seen.
Showers - bathrooms CLEAN 👏
Staff is Amazing, super helpful!
GREAT place to Camp. Very Roomy sites.
Benjamin Mack-LaPlant
Great park and facilities. I just feel the boat ramp should remain open to a set time later in the evening. And if you want to use the ramp at night you have to purchase a annual state park pass and also an additional annual after hours pass! Ends up over 300$$ to use a boat ramp per year
Donna Hewitt
This Campground is beautiful. This park is beautiful. The campsites are pretty close to each other and there's minimal privacy but you back up to a canal which is lovely. There are only two complaints there are tiny little bugs. The other complaint I have is that some people use the facilities and forget to flush, gross! They have minimal recycling, bottles and cans. Fishing is allowed as long as you have a license and follow the guidelines.
Haydee Priceless1
It's clean, playgrounds are big, my grandbabies love it
Steven Jones
A very clean park staff was great large sites with electric and water. There is also a dump stations kayaking and great fishing highly recommend this park.
andrea blackmon
Beautiful campsite! Great boat ramp! Would recommend for a quite relaxing trip.
Tammy Liri
Very nice park, but if you have small children you should be careful because despite being full of signs that say that dogs must be on leashes, and although many of us respect these rules, I have a dog, there is always some irresponsible person who takes their dogs without a leash to the playground area. The “security” employees are there just to ride their vans, because they do absolutely nothing else.
A. U. Anders
I have been here 4 times and each time it had been clean and fun. They have a small little “beach” if you dont want to go to the other busier places. The boat ramp is spacious but can get busy during holidays. Swing sets are available as are canoe and kayak rentals. Great place to bike but i dont believe there are trails to walk on.
Kimberly Christiansen
Great place to have a picnic, had several covered tables. The water is beautiful. Lots of birds. A few people were fishing. There is a playground and a beach with white sand. Bathrooms were clean. There is a boat docking area. There is lots of parking and a sidewalk area. Enjoyed our time there!
Lala
Awesome park with so much to do. Fee per car load is 2.00 but well worth it. Many fishing holes, trails, playgrounds, beach fronts, swimming, and events. Today I visited the art festival which was 5 dollar entry separate from the entry fee just like the seafood festival was. This is an amazing park please go see it.
Amber Shay
I absolutely love this place and so does my hubby and the kids!! I do wish, however, that we can use the tables and pavilions. I know it's the virus but it really sucks. I feel like if we social distance with other people and just be with the family we live with, it should be ok. Like maybe, we can make reservations or something? But I do love this place! It is so beautiful and peaceful. Plus, we usually catch fish everytime we come! ❤️
joel colby
Great park for all your outdoor recreational activities. First class boat ramps and camping facilities along with boat rentals and picinic/party shelters. Most campsites have water access and all have power and water connections able to run the largest of RVs and campers. Campsite area also has super clean, well stocked bathrooms and showers, a playground and fishing dock. All this for either $2 per vehicle main park access and $24 a night for campsites. Highly recommend this park.
Lorie Webster
OMG Simmons park is amazing . Great area for a family picnics or birthday party with covered pavilions and picnic tables. Great area for Fishing, boating, and also they have festivals and programs for the community. Very clean and restrooms available. Have a great small little beach that overlooks the Bay. Can bring your pets but not on the beach. Also has a great camping area. My grand kids in family really love this spot. With canoeing and the areas never crowded a big plus
Troy Hudson
The beach is a bit rocky so make sure your family has water shoes. The park is dog friendly but the beach is not. I wanted to take my dog paddleboarding and swimming with me but he wasn't allowed on the beach. It's probably a good thing because I see so many people not cleaning up after their pets. The dog friendly areas so not allow swimming so I would have to leave my wife and kids at the beach.
phyllis fellows
The raccoons were everywhere and a nuisance. We couldn't sit out without a raccoon or two coming up looking for something. They were trying to get in other campers things too. They were out day and night. If they had not been such a nuisance the park and camping would be a five star.
Clara Thompson
Went to use the boat ramp to launch the boat. Since they have started charging admission the park is much cleaner. It had become very trashy. Alot of people just used the ground for their trash even though there are or were trash cans everywhere. Good for the park. Is becoming the beautiful place that it was before people started trashing the place. We had stopped going there for a long time.
Frank Gagliardi
Super clean and organized County Park....staff is very helpful and friendly
Kimberly Del Monte
Only $2 per car to get in and we love to take our puppy there to walk the small trail around at Hunters Pass so she doesn't get tired and there are water areas you can walk them down to the water. There is a lot to do without pets: boat ramp, trails, beach, camping, picnic tables and pavilions. At lot of birthday parties happen here and I've even seen bouncy houses allowed. There's a pretty good size playground too.
Samuel Mills
A very nice park to walk around with good views of the water and nature. You will see a lot of wild animals that are interesting to see. I had no issues finding a place to park and overall the park seems well maintained and clean.
Kip Burke
Wow! Peaceful camping in Central Florida.
Our first time here and glad we gave it a go. Very spacious sites, kind and helpful rangers and very reasonable cost. No reservations excepted but they had an opening that worked for our 44' Diesel Pusher.
Stuart Smith
Nice location and ideal if you like fishing. Other than that, there's not really much going on here. You make your own entertainment...the beach area doesn't really stand out as a place you'd want to swim at; the kiddies play area is somewhat spartan and the toilets (restrooms) I briefly visited were dire. You bring your own food and drink and find some shade perhaps to read a book.
If you're travelling through this part of Hillsborough County and looking for somewhere to park up your camper van then yes I can see this place as a reasonable choice in the area. The entry fee is low and the overall environment quite pleasant - just make sure you have your own private bathroom on board!
Re Mo
Great place to get away. Numerous fishing spots, boat ramps, public beach and shelters scattered around the area. Also 100+ camping sites. Many on waterfront.
justin bendigity
E.G. is a Nice and relaxing place, this was the first time while kayaking the manatees came out to play.
billy mcswain
It's nice out here. Even tho we can't get In the beach due to a flesh eating bacteria. The beach is pretty clean. There is a decent party next to the prevalent and lots of room if you wanted to have a slippery slide for the children
Jeanette T
Lovely well kept park. However the beach and swimming is closed due to COVID-19 which was a disappointment to my 4 year old Grandson. He did enjoy the very nice playground for ages 5-12.
Mark Davis
This is a great place for a nice walk and from what I saw fishermen like it here too. I saw many fish pulled in in this neighborhood. One boat was sitting just offshore and there were three or four people fishing on it and they had to run it into a school of fish I'm not sure what kind but they were catching them left and right it was real fun to watch.

Fun day kayaking. Saw 2 manatee and lots of pelican.
Elaine Birkinshaw
There are nice picnic shelters and the boat ramp gives good access to Tampa Bay. There is a very small strip of beach but it's not enough of one to make a special trip. The park is well maintained, though, and it's a good spot for a picnic. There's a $2 charge per vehicle for up to 8 people.
Helen Nardick
Perfect spot for beginner kayakers and for experienced. So much beautiful wildlife. This park is clean, organized, well marked and one of my favorite fishing/kayaking spots.
Ivonne M.S
We love EG Simmons. It's a nice place to hang out with the kids at the park. We have rented out cabins a few years in a row for birthday parties. The little festival's they do are always appreciated, especially when it's near our home. The staff is always nice and the park is kept clean. We have seen a couple of manatees, too.
Charlie J
I put the boat in to exercise the motor a bit. A beautiful day. Water was quiet. Boat ramp was not crowded. The park is always clean and well kept. Maintenance was in progress on the roof of the boat ramp restrooms.
Steven Casoose
The beach is shallow, sea grass is being grown so the water can get murky.
Chris Pratt
Great park, especially during winter. No crowds, $2 entry fee for all day access. Not a tourist attraction. No rides, games, etc, just a place to see Florida's natural beauty and coast line. Boat ramps are available for a fee, campgrounds for a fee, all fees are quite reasonable. I enjoy just walking the coastline, watching the birds, and listening to the silence.
Steve Roederer
I always love going to this park!!! So peaceful and quiet. Took my boat there today and had a great time. They have a perfect boat ramp!! Again great place to go to for camping, picnic, fishing, or just to relax!!!!
Chad McClellan
This is a nice park that offers RV sites, picnic tables, a boat ramp that leads into Tampa Bay, a sandy beach, swim areas, and private areas. They also hold various festivals and events here throughout the year. This would be a nice place to have a family reunion, work function, or celebrate a birthday. There's at least 2 large play grounds for small kids, plenty of open grass areas to play frisbee or pass a ball. There are lots of parking areas all over the park. It cost $2 to get in with 1 car, and of course more for campsites and boat ramp use. There are several covered shelter areas with grills and you can even park your car and watch the sunset over the water. The park overall was clean and looked well maintained.
Oh Dear
Great spot to enjoy nature. Clean facilities. Beautiful views. Unspoiled nature with the modern conveniences we enjoy. Nice beach and swimming area. Boat launch. Playground for children. Much more. Only $2 per car to enter and enjoy the park for the day. (There's a campground there, too, which we didn't visit.)
Jason Wass
Went today, a Monday afternoon. It was very quiet. Great place to walk the dogs. Brought our own poop bags. Just wish they had more trash cans around to throw waste away.
Johanna Demers
Amazing time always at e g Simmons park. Love the shaded groves. Always see manatees and dolphin in the cove.
Fish Hunter
Nice and quiet. Very clean place. 2$ to fish at any Pier or anywhere in the park. I use the boat ramp all the time. Plenty of room for several boats to put in. Only 7$ to put your boat in. One of the nicer parks around.
Carole McKee
Great campground. Inexpensive too. Close to the water. Great for kayaking and boating. Wildlife sightings in and around the water ways. However make sure that you bring PLENTY of bug spray. The noseeums are abundant and will make your stay miserable if you don't take precautions.
Martin Hulme
Great park and location, but impossible for locals to get camping due to all the snowbirds that take up all the sites for long periods. Would be nice if they limited the camp sites to a week or so and saved some for local residents to use. We are shut out from using our own park, and can't book ahead. Otherwise, great place, wish I could use it more.
brian lott
Was a nice campsite. We enjoyed our stay, however be aware of the noseemems. They are terrible!
T-la Ziolkowski
This is a great family fun place or just to pass the time away off the Tampa Bay with pleanty of pavillions and fishing spots and u can see Manatees grazing. I grew up playing and this park now camping as an adult, Luv it!!
Misty Massey
We stayed at this campground overnight in late October 2018. It was a weekday and there were plenty of spots to choose from despite being first-come, first-serve. With the cost and location, I can imagine it would fill up during peak season. I believe you can stay up to 5 months at the park at a time which is surprising. There were a few people who seemed to take advantage of that and their areas were a bit overrun and trashy. Overall though the park was clean and well-maintained. We stayed on spot #25 on the west campground. We did not have to level and we did not unhook since we were only staying one night. That spot was away from everyone (all others around it were empty) and was nice and shaded. All spots seem to be right by the bay, but you do not have a good visual because of all the overgrowth. That was a bit disappointing, but it is a conservation park, so I’m sure they keep it that way for habitat. We walked the entire campground and park when we arrived. The west and east campgrounds seemed very similar. I would not say there was a better side. They have a nice boat dock area and we were able to see St. Petersburg and Tampa from there. There are several fishing piers and a beach as well. The beach was a little run down when we were there, but several hurricanes had come through the area recently, so it was understandable. Tons of osprey and shorebirds throughout the park. We enjoyed watching osprey eat their fish dinner. We didn’t use the Verizon hotspot so cannot speak to it, but we had good signal for AT&T. We also had a good number of TV channels over the air. Each spot has water and electric and there is a dump station on each side of the campground. Any size RV should be fine to stay there as well. Overall, it was an excellent place for an overnight. Easy access to Tampa if you want to explore it while you are there. We would stay again if ever in the area.
Brandon Legal Group
This is an excellent location to Launch as the boat ramps are spacious and they have ample parking. The only downfall to launching at this boat ramp is that there is a very long Idle Zone. It will take you about 20 minutes to get to be no idle speed areas. If you have a super shallow drafting boat you could Idol over the barrier sand bar but if not you'll be stuck in the channel.
Elizabeth Usanmaz
Nice secluded beach if you don't like crowds. Only pay $2 a car and sometimes you have the beach to yourself. Very relaxing and quiet place to whine down from the work week. Only downfall...the gangs of raccoons scavenging.
Sue McGuire
Park and camping are terrific, however all the super campsites are taken by snowbirds. 😒 Happens every season. Guess us locals always lose, that's the only downfall to 1st come 1st serve with county park camping. Otherwise we totally LOVE camping here, it's our 1st choice everytime! …
Kelmie Bigelow
Great little park. You can launch boats there, and bring a trailer down and camp out as well. It has a great location on Tampa Bay you can easily get to the Sunshine Skyway from there. They also have covered picnic areas and also an AC building that you can get if you don't want to be caught in the Heat or the rain.

E.G. SIMMONS PARK
I love this place and so do a lot of other people. I go there with my grand kids, family and just go by myself. I see a lot of people that I have met there. There are fisherman camper’s photographers and just people hanging out. There are mobile homes and I mean big mobile homes. I go by boat sometimes and when the kids and when the kids get restless on the boat I beach my pontoon boat tell every to get out. There are a lot of playgrounds that keep the little ones busy for a while.
I cook some burgers and hot dog for lunch on the grills that they have at the park. The park is right on Tampa bay for fishing and surrounded by channels of mangroves to fish or just enjoy the views if you are a bird watcher this is the place for you. The park rents canoes if you want to journey through the mangroves bring your mosquito repellent. The park has dedicated spots for campers with tents, places that is dedicated for mobile homes. And there are great boat ramps with plenty of parking for your trailer and car or truck.
Ben Perez
Great Park to visit. Many trails to bike or walk. Plenty of picnic tables and grills. Very clean and a nice place to visit for the day.
Kevin Klingensmith
Park was great, can't say enough good things about it. Bathrooms clean and showers hot. You will notice that campground looks like a ghost town in the evening. Nobody outside. We found out the hard way this is due to a ravenous bug called no-seeums. I pulled in around dinner and had to leave camper hooked to truck because these bugs were that bad.
James Mulford
Nice park, campsites very nice with lots of room. Most are shaded. Mosquitos are horrible, even with 4 thermacells running. Overall nice camping probably better during cooler months when insects aren't as bad.
Jordan M.
Cool place right on the bay, but off the beaten path. Hillsborough county's closest competitor to Fort Desoto (without the historical significance). Beautiful Olde Florida feel, right on the Tampa Bay. They have a very nice boat ramp and washdown facilities, playground, walking trails, picnic areas and pavilions. During Covid-19 shut down they said you cannot use the picnic areas, simply because they don't have a way to disinfect them.
Vickie Stanford
Love it,so peaceful beautiful scenery
David G
Love this place. Very relaxing with friendly staff. Kayaking and fishing here is great. The little beach area next to the playground is great for the kids. The bathrooms are actually super nice & clean.
A Stanley
Very nice county campground. I arrived just as they were closing for the day and the super helpful lady at the office was kind enough to wait for me to go check on a site then return And do the paper work. My site is not paved but is level and includes water and electricity. I appreciate the senior discount, too.
Jenny Olszowy
My husband and I went kayaking here. We had to rent since we don't own, it was $25 per person for 4 hours. We saw Ray's, fish, a snake swimming and we think a shark in the mangroves. We had a fun time and we were pretty much by ourselves the whole time.
John D Hazlett
Nice little park, right on Tampa Bay
Linda D'Angelo
This is an awesome park! They have welcome people that come to your tent or camper to help you and give you things. I was there last July and they came and left me ice cold water and a battery powered lg light which I totally needed cuz I was in a tent..no electric...they have electric! I just had nothing..what a blessing..also I left early and they refunded my balance..Great office people! God Bless
Rob Holliday
Very clean and well maintained park. Is nice for the whole family. Nice campgrounds and amenities. Love to fish the mangroves here. Rented a pavilion for a birthday party and was very nice.
Carolyn Bracelin
Awesome. Great kayaking, fishing, biking. Bugs yes but doable.
Caitlin Barclay
This park is good for a day trip or RVing. The bugs are awful at night and in the morning. One couple slept in their car and we left the site for breakfast instead of our plan to cook over the fire because the bugs were so bad. The canoe trail was lovely and we will be back to do that again!
jeff morgan
Great park for land based fishing in the bay, bring your own chairs or even your own canopy. The park has a terrific bike trail and a nice playground.
Danielle Harding
I really love this park. I've have my son's birthday party here as well as put in at the boat slip. It's a nice quiet place to enjoy some outside time.
Lisa Faling
Great park. Maintenance rangers very nice. My only issue is the land was uneven when we parked our RV . We don't have levelers on our rig. Our fault however we picked the campsite. Next time I will pay more attention to this matter.
Rich Taylor
Great place to canoe/kayak! Rangers were very friendly and accomodating. Campground is with mostly water/mangrove views. Not much in the way of trees but many sites have at least a little shade. The sites are fairly large but you will be looking at all your neighbors. The beach is mostly dirt and nothing like the beaches you will encounter on the gulf. There is a playground very close to the beach and another identical one in one of the loops. There is a tiny playground in one of the campgrounds but it barely deserves being called that.
It would be great if some more equipment was added for family campers. There are no grills but some sites have the built in grill on the fire rings although i was told they will be phasing that style out due to pinch hazard. Being that the park is in the middle of mangroves the knats and bugs can get pretty bad depending on time of day/season. Also watch out for ant piles throughout the park. Restrooms were very clean and everything ws in good condition on our visit.
Dave M
Nice park on the bay with boat ramp, trails, beach, well maintained. Can't compare however with beaches or water in the Gulf. Nice views of both downtown St Pete and Tampa
Casper Geist
One of our favorite parks.. swimming, fishing, playground!! Kids love it.
SHAYLA C.
Very nice place to take the kids, small beach, great place to fish I LOVE IT
Rhonda Pearson
This park is very cozy and relaxing. Less crowded.
Robin Doll
Lovely park, great rates and plenty to do! We saw manatee playing, playgrounds, pavilions, fishing, boat launches, kayaking at great rates and I can't wait to go back!
Frank Warrington
This park is really nice. The guy at the front gate was very helpful, the bathrooms are clean and it looks like a great spot to fish. Also the playgrounds are great as well.
Byron Potts
Big area many rv spots without shade. Very clean. Staff very helpful. Restroom and showers clean. Beach area small but ok. Most spots have access to water good if you fish.
Jeff Bowers
Helpful peeps. Clean place. 2 seperate areas of 50 sites each. (West & East). Boat ramp. Beach. Picnic areas too.. Entry fee to park if not camping ($2.) - ( $5.boatramp)
Campsites water & Elec (50-30-20a) . senior 55+ ($18/nite).. Lots of fishing spots or canoe/kayak.. UseeUms are tuff in eve.
Ashley Marie
I love Simmons Park! I grew up in Ruskin. They have swing sets a play ground and places to fish and just get your mind off things. Only issue I have had was the raccoons! Once my husband and myself and our kids went to eat there at one of the benches and there was a gang of raccoons coming towards us. We quickly grabbed our kids as at the time one was 6 and the other was a newborn and we left the food there and got into our car. So we lost our food that we had just bought to eat. Dang Raccoons!!!! 😭😭😭
Wayne Alexandet
That's an amazing place everyone is super nice and clean. Jonathan and The entirely Staff are super I have two lady staff worker's I stated across from they became My family super nice and fell in love with my girl 🐕 Wayne alexander …
Teodoro Bernal
This park it is awesome! Love going with the family
My kids love it great place to canoe and to see manatees and dolphins.
Plus you can't forget the fishing it's just insane!
Joseph Humar
Very nice place. Love it there. Only major problem there is the gnats. They are terrible. Oh yea, plus now the place will be packed because of snowbirds coming back. Other then those 2. Very good place to camp and the comfort stations are really clean.
john adair
Still love it awesome place to be and fish. People need to be more considerate when paddling around the main park. Give bank fishers some space, I'm a kayaker also but I dont hug the bank.
Gail Harrison
This park is a gem. We fished on the beach and enjoyed beautiful scenery. You can launch a boat or rent a kayak. The picnic shelters are great and the bathroom facilities are clean.
Ric Rini
Great place to experience the Florida shoreline. You can rent kayaks (single and tandems - NO canoes) and tool around the mangrove fingers and also enter the Bay that has great views of Tampa and St. Petersburg. There is a nominal parking fee that starts at $2.00.
Bring plenty of water, snacks amd sunscreen as there is not much going on. The restroom facilities are a bit primitive, one portalete, so be prepared.
John Burch
Very nice facility, 2$ entrance fee good for whole day... boat ramps in great condition and easy to access. Camping is first come first served according to some friends who camped inside park.
David DeJesus
It is a nice secluded area where you can fish and camp. There are also pavilions where you can have a nice get together. I gave only 3 stars because on the quality of the beach.
Tyler Miller
Stayed here for a month... I'll have to say it was an amazing experience to wake up in the morning, and be here. Big campsites, and it feels more remote. Warning, remember to bring bug spray for the no-seams because they come out bad at about dusk.
Carl Welch
I love to go to this beach at this Park on the summer holidays every summer of every year.
Me and family we always have a cookout here and we go swimming here and we have a great time here and just enjoy it.
It takes me to a whole another world here on a tropical island some where.
David Lee
Love this park, grew up fishing there with my grandparents and have now started to again as an adult.
Pam Lane
If you want to fish, boat, picnic or just sit and watch the water....this little piece of paradise is for you. Hidden away like a diamond in the rough it is the best little park in our area..
Garland wall
County park only half open . west camp area closed for construction. East side one even sites available. First come first serve no reservations. Great access to water. Beach closed as well as all covered picnic and pavilions. Go away covid...
Sandra Truluck
VERY nice park to experience Florida nature and not worry about over crowding. Nice picnic area's & docks to fish from. Kept clean and has plenty of parking spaces.
Sam
Grew up here and now my children play here, there is a fee to get in but it's worth it. Great playground for the kids that has the soft rubber play surface, great to run and fish, boat, picnics, camping, rv's.
Brittany A.
This place has it all. A beach, playgrounds, boat ramp, kayak launch and lots of places to fish. I try to get out here as much as I can!
Michael Lemons
nice little out of the way park still close to home.. Great boat ramps, great parking! Lots of shelter houses for events, public swimming beach is a little primitive, lots of sea grass.
Niaomi Simpson
Very relaxing and quite just being bug spray in the summer lots of fishing boating kayaks and play ground for kids. And yes a beach for swimming. Great camping rates.
paula mathis
This park is on Tampabay and is great for families. There are many Covered picnic pavilions, a playground, a beach, a boat ramp, some small fishing docks, and many little areas to fish. Kayak rentals are available to explore by water.
dino julie
Great camping grounds playgrounds for kids nice shelters great place to view dolphins from about 7 feet away stop by and pay a visit 2 dollars per car up to 8 people don't forget about boat ramp and plenty of fishing spots stop by this spring and have a great time
Jessica Ledbetter
E.G. Simmons is a beautiful park where pretty much every campsite is water front. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are kept clean. Also, the natural neighbors (racoons) are extremely friendly and love to show their curiosity up close and personally. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star rating is the insane amount of sand gnats or biting midges (technical term). They are so bad that every time after it rained we had to just stay in our tent for the rest of the night or risk looking like we had a case of the measles due to all the bites. Those things are vicious!
So just remember if you are coming here to camp, be aware of the sand gnats! The absolute worse I have ever experienced!
Bill Slanaker
Loved it although most of the park was closed due to virus the family and I still had a great day spending time with friends BBQing, fishing , swimming and playing yard games e brought.
nancy montgomery
Beautiful, great boat launch. Beach area fishing as well as docks. Camping areas are lovely. We visit often
Tammy Alexander
This great for kids have a nice beach and playground
Sandra Kitts
Looks like a nice place for family outings, a few different playgrounds, considering it was a public park the restrooms were normal there are at quite a few of them. A lot of parking and some nice fishing spots
Kenneth Lake
2 rules here... no pinatas and no water balloons...
Both were being used when we arrived by careless families.
Does no one understand that all that stuff is hazardous to the wildlife there!?
Besides that, it's mostly for fishing, and as a vegan/animal activist there is no appeal of that for me.
There is a SMALL beach.
Steven Diaz
IT WAS GREAT TO VISIT THIS PLACE AFTER 26 YEARS. I WAS 7 YEARS OLD THE LAST TIME I CAME TO THIS LOCATION. WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS PLACE BACK THAN WAS THAT IT ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE A BEACH AND WE WERE ABLE TO BRING PETS ONTO THE BEACH AND THE ENTRANCE WAS FREE! NOW THERE IS A COVER FEE TO ENTER WHAT LOOKS MORE LIKE A REGULAR PARK WITH WATER AND NO PETS ALLOWED ON A 50 FOOT BEACH! BUT OTHER THAN THAT I DID ENJOY MY TIME HERE AND WOULD COME AGAIN MAYBE FOR A BAR-B-QUE! HATE THAT THE NATURAL BEACH LOOK IS NO LONGER! BUT A NICE LITTLE PLACE FOR PARK FUN WITH CHILDREN!
Bruce Tiffin
Great park on Tampa Bay. Sites adjacent to canals that run through the camp ground. First come first serve booking with an overflow area. Good fishing and bird watching. Noseeums are a problem and the raccoons are as abundant as the mosquitoes.
Maddie Sneary
It doesn't seem to be as busy as other beaches and parks. But, I'm sure it depends on the weather and the season. The campgrounds look very nice and spacious.
J Crockett
The no-seeums where a bit heavy at dusk but the campground was beautiful. The only thing that could of been better is if it had waste disposal at each site. Spaces where great and camp fires where nice. Looking forward to going back
Yali Amita
Good service, nice place to relax, and the restrooms for the campers were super clean. The only thing we didn't like was having to use the port a potties, cause the restrooms were under service, and the beach showers had no water.
Shana Henry
Very nice park! It’s $2 to enter but we’ll worth the fee. There’s camping, playgrounds, shelters, and immaculate views of the Tampa Bay!
Edward Farmer
Dont like that I pay taxes and pay again to use county park and county boat ramp.
Other than my personal feelings this is a great park. Nice facility and tables. Fishing and picnic areas.
William Borrer
Great Tampa Bay location. If you love to swim, boat, bicycle or take a leisurely walk you can't beat it. Camping facilities are very good for a county park. Well patroled!
Jordan Hall
Great camping and great fishing. They have a few boat ramps as well for anybody looking to launch. Only $2 park entry makes it affordable for everybody.
dave davenport
Cost $2 per vehicle to enter the park if you have a boat it will be an additional $5 if you are in a power wheelchair you can pull up to one of the picnic tables next to the boat ramp fight we will have to go through some grass and dirt
Janice DeJ
Nice park - very big
Barbara Floyd
This place is huge! Two playgrounds beautiful beach areas, and fields to play sports on. Has places for fishing and kayaking as well, highly recommend!
Robert Dils
Great place to launch a boat, fish from shore, or just relax and enjoy the views . Close to home but, out of the city which is awesome. Love this place.
L
Great location, nice park but mosquitoes and sand flies eat you alive, tide could be high or low, sand flies will be part of your camping experience, insects repellent it doesn't do the job, that's the only reason I rated this park 3 stars.
M. Renea
Very beautiful and spacious park for limitless outdoors activities including fishing, boating & kayaking. Dress and spray accordingly though - the sand fleas and mosquitoes at this park are a nuisance.
Tim Shaw
Great place to camp. We love how quiet and safe it is here. Clean showers and bathroom was plus. The campsites and park was enjoyable. Too bad we can't book ahead for campsite.
carol schulz
Really nice park. Restrooms and showers are quite clean, they have recycling barrels (important to all of us), and nice friendly folk working there.
Crazy Lady
Very nice and clean family friendly park. We got some rain but no fish this time. Worth going for sure...
Melissa Wright
It was okay. There were a lot of places that weren't specific about swimming and it interrupted our fishing time. Next time we go will definitely make sure we are somewhere where there is only fishing.
eric trowbridge
It's a nice park the staff very helpful and friendly but the noseeums little biting flys are bad espessially in the morning and afternoons tip try to get a camp site off the water they are not as bad their clean park with a small beach🌴 although beach is a bit rocky of it was not for the bitting flys would be a 4 star at least. Overall I had a great time with my Wife 3 days of just relaxation. Oh almost forgot the RACOONS THEY ARE EVERY WHERE! Use bungee straps around your coolers fridges and they are quick will come right up while your finishing making dinner and steal what they can little buggers lol you've been warned lol.
Jason Cleveland
located in a great party of Florida. Great boat ramp. Good sized camp ground just not many trees. Fishing in the park is hit or miss.
Sun Shine
Clean, family friendly, lots to do. With boat rinse area, fish cleaning station, and clean facilities to rinse after a swim you can clean up before you go.
Sonja Harrell
Love to take the family here. Wish the beach part was better like it use to be. The playground area is much nicer now that the ground is rubber
Andrew Currey
Raccoon and RV land!
Some friends and I were here for some R&R and instead were surrounded by RV's, partying teens, and a family of Raccoons. We arrived on a Thursday to a barren camping area (we choose number 45 I think) with only one RV about ten spots from us. The bathrooms were super clean and really nice (free showers!) and the spot had a decent view of the water and good amount of shade. The second day we were overrun by RV's and partying teenagers (really ruined the vibe). Friday night was filled with newcomers, most arrived late at night (around midnight) and had to spend and hour or so setting up/backing up their RV's, and driving in and out over again (and quiet time starts at 10pm??). We awoke Saturday morning to our neighbor washing his RV with a power washer (awesome!). Most people seemed like locals and we had to bite our tongues as one dad yelled at his kid the entire day. We finally decided to pack up and leave instead of staying our last night. It was just too annoying to be camping next to the RV with the loud AC unit, the invading army of raccoons, loud teens, and tons of sand fleas and misquotes. Would be nice for RVers, people with boats, and those trying to party. Cash only.
Chance Berry
A good experience, the park is mainly set up for boat and kayak launches, lots of mangroves and friendly people. There is a beach area but I did not get the opportunity to see it.
John Bryant
Price is excellent... it's a cool campground.
Michael Domke
Beautiful day and water access to throw a line in to try you luck. Kids loved play parks. Area is clean and neat and a good choice to spend a moment or the day
Randall Mallard
This park is very well maintained. It's a great place to camp or just have a picnic. Fishing is good there as well.
Samantha Keckler
Bathrooms were clean, you can bring your own grill (idk about propane, we used charcoal) and people came out to check on trash cans. The little things!
kenneth blackmon
Great camp sites, great boat ramp, lots of no see ums here though. Long Trip of no wake zone to get open water, but beautiful ride getting there
Toby Oetken
We were able to go to the park and rent a kayak and paddle around fur thre next few hours. The park has camping areas that are right on thre water.
Chris Ackley
Nice location if you live on the east side of the bay. Not the best beach. Sand is full of shells and such. A little rocky but never too busy
Don Herbert
$2.00 per car fee. Well maintained park. Life jackets for children available at boat ramp, N/C !!
Cathy Cummings (YogaCathy)
Beautiful place to get outside and enjoy that Florida life. Scenic views, bike rides, fishing, birthday parties and more. Great place for the whole family.

💖 I Simply Love This place. I may just camp out here for the rest of my life 🤣 …
minimafia
I think it's a nice park it doesn't have much trees so if you have a dog and it barks a lot I don't suggest but it's great if you have a rv
Chris Carpenter
A wonderful place to take the family or go to alone. Camping, swimming, fishing, boating I got to say this is one of the best parks we have been to.

I'm used to bigger beach's, So it was great because I don't like a big crowd's, but I found a dead jellyfish just floating about in the water
Eduardo Cuenca Jr.

Love this park! Great for finding a spot to fish. Not to busy for that, but the ramp is really busy to put in your boat.
Roberto Treviño
Park ranger's very observant of the surroundings. And helpful no problems unloading are loading boats at the boat ramp. Reasonable fee
MANDY BLUMER
Cheap $2/car...plenty of parking and fishing areas...boat ramp seems to have a lot of business as well. Grills and picnic areas are easily accessible as well
Zulma Rodz
We go there to camp. Always clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Lots of raccoons so don't feed them and put your trash in dumpsters at night.
JC Hughes
Beautiful place with a great boat ramp
Anjali Sesen
Only 4 stars because park improvements are taking forever. Nice place to picnic if you want to be by the Bay- bring noseeum repellant.
Aimee M
My kids love this park. But unfortunately people do not understand to throw away their trash. People litter all over the park. And this is on several occasions of coming here.
no way
Nice park unusually crowded during Labor Day and Covid but actually caught some fish out there police presence seems a bit excessive like most of these parks
Neva Mcgriff
This park is a family favorite with plenty of playgrounds throughout the park, a beach, places to fish and lots of party/picnic spots. Beautiful views as well.

Lots of parking. The water isn't too bad considering its in a bay. The mangroves are wonderful and the place seems to be able to hold a bunch of people without seeming crowded.

No-see-ums will carry you away. My family had a horrible experience because of them. If it wasn't for the overwhelming amount of biting bugs, it would be a 5 star park.
