Reviews of Jefferson Barracks Disc Golf
Skippy juan Jones
Nice course with a mixture of open and tree guardian holes. Make sure to get there early (sunrise) can get crowded . Played only 9 holes and between looking for hiding discs and other frolfers and took 2hrs.
Ryan Freeland
This is a really well maintained course. Eighteen holes long with a nice range of obstacles. Be prepared to share the course as it is a popular destination for disc golf, especially on nice days!
Forest Baker
Beautiful, well maintained course. There is a convience store nearby, plenty of water fountains and bathrooms in the park area. Some holes are across the road, but find a local to guide ya. Bring your gorilla arm and flippy discs. Lots of up and down terrain changes. No view of the mississippi river ... yet?
Dennis Pohle
We played the 1st 9 holes. The Fairways are quite hilly, with various pin locations. Some Fairways have erosion making the walking a bit challenging, especially if wet. Main issue is there is no good signage directing you to the next hole, which can lead you on a search. Pads are concrete and baskets are in good condition. Overall a solid course.
Larry Newsome
Today I went to physical therapy, Mr. Gillum was a very good Therapist. He showed me different options to help my lower back pain. I also received a new back brace, feels great 👍👍👍
Aaron Campeau
Absolutely love it. Has two 18 hole courses although I can only speak for the front 18. Great course alot of fun.
Nikki Lynn Konert
We had a great time playing after work. Course was fun and challenging.
Tim Blair
Fun disc golf course. When raining it can get really muddy though!
Joseph Novel
Great course that’s a lot of fun. One of my favorites in the city.
Shannon Abernathey
A fun course with lots of variety. Watch out for the wet/flooded areas and a few areas where you can easily lose a disc.
Hayley Day
Great course! Well maintained, good signage, and multiple pin positions. Good mix of park and woods shots.
Patrick Klupe
Great course. Open shots in fields and technical shots through the woods.
Jon Storey
This is one of my absolute favorite dg courses in st Louis. Either the og or the bunker, you are going to have a great time. Another of disc golfers out there so be respectful.
William Dobbels
The park has 2 disc golf courses, which are a lot of fun. The main course is my favorite, whereas the bunker (south side of the black hawk shelter) is wooded, much more technical, and many "throw and pray" shots. Main course is a 5/5, bunker is a 2/5.
Jon York
Very nice park. The disc golf course is both fun and challenging. There are 3 or 4 pin placements on all the holes making the course different at times. A few pins are in the woods but there is a soda machine around hole 6 or 7! That is a rarity on a disc golf course. Would definitely recommend.
Joseph Vosevich
Jefferson Barracks has 2 18 hole disc golf courses; one out in the open and one in the woods. The one out in the open is the original course and is often referred to as OG JB. Both courses are fun but very different and appeal to different types of players. I appreciate the elevation changes and the variation of obstacles. There is a tendency for some of the holes to hold water after a storm and it can be hard to find a lost disc in the brambles, which is why I recommend wearing hiking shoes, jeans, and a long sleeve shirt when playing at Jefferson Barracks. Be sure to download the U-Disc app so you can properly navigate the course.
Riley Flynn
Great park. Always well taken care of. 36 holes of disc golf. 18 holes that are extremely wooded and 18 that has a good combination of open shots and wooded shots. Great for learning how to shape a shot.
Dan C
I've never been before and this was a fun but challenging course for me to start on. Had a blast hiking around and learning!
Holly Koehler
We were there for a family reunion. There was plenty of shade and a big pavilion. Not a lot of parking. My husband has played that disc golf course before and he liked it. It's just a little far from home for us.
Adrian and Candice Howard
Beautiful park. The JB disc golf course is fairly difficult but definitely worth it.
davmicjor
Challenging course. Very muddy from all the rain. Great park and far enough from main roads to be peaceful. Full 18 course. Really enjoyed my time there including the family of deer which followed us around for a few holes.
Tony Polizzi
Great frisbee golf park. Variety of shots, they move the holes around as well. Professional games are played here. Not a good course for beginners, although if you're with someone experienced you will be fine. Lots of deer to see!
Jeffrey Thompson
The park has an archery range oh, I take my son to shoot his bow. Nice place to ride a bike or go for a long walk. See lots of Wildlife. And there's always something going on there
Brad (Pecosbrad)
Had a great experience here and is always well kept and a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend bringing some sturdy shoes on cruise and there are lots of hills. Be prepared if it isn't early spring or late fall to search a bit for your disc but otherwise a great experience
Jody Spencer
Interesting, challenging course that doesn't require a monster arm to enjoy. A good mix of open shots and technical, precise shots. One of the earliest DG courses in STL. A "must play" if you're in town to throw!
Derek Legler
2 courses now. both long. 1 wooded and 1 more edge of woods and open fairways with scattered trees. fairly popular and sometimes crowded. a little muddy but well maintained.
vera madkins
Great place to walk, bike and play. Even wildlife watching is possible, I saw deer and a variety of birds. The park has something for everybody, love it.
ChristyLee Cabra
Very nice. Restrooms are even open, ty. We'll be back.
Turd Sammich
Great frolf course. It used to be a great 18 hole course. Then they added (I think) another 18. Just make sure u don't go on league day.
Kenny Witte
One time while playing here a congregation of squirrels anonymous was going on in the middle of the course. They were very welcoming to all passer byers and they appeared to be good residents of the park who really take care of the landscape.
Crystal Derickson
This is a great park for relaxing walking a trail pkaying dis golf and pkeanty of pavilions for family function. Pleanty of deer sitings. They ate everywhere. It's a beautiful park. I highly recommend this park.
Ryan R
Went for disc golf. Played in the Sunday Nooner. Excellent course, well maintained. Plenty of pavilions and restrooms. Clean course, not trashy.
