Reviews of Gateway Arch Park
This is a very lovely space to experience for those new to town or those who have lived here all your life. The remodeled museum area is spectacular and modern with tech bring history to life! The oark is a well laid out photo op ready, nice walking areas and benches to rest. The restrooms are inside the Arch area it the park. So plan ahead accordingly for your restroom breaks. We stopped down on a full moon evening and lucky to see Jupiter close by the moon rise up between the arch Legs. What a great experience to behold!
This was such a beautiful peaceful location that I am so glad I had the privilege to visit. It's a beautiful location for a stroll or a lovely picnic lunch. There is a great walking trail and plenty of breeze coming off the riverfront.
We absolutely LOVED 😍 going to the Gateway Arch in St Louis! There's lots of History. It was a nice pleasant walk. The Museum was very educational! Was happy to see that before you get on the elevator to go up in the Arch, you can see live video of how it will look and feel being that high up. …
Very pretty area. Free museum was worthwhile. The arch is massive. Parking attendant was very friendly. A lot of the parking down there didn't allow motorcycles so we had to hunt for one.
Beautiful park in all seasons of the year. I've visited in the scorching summer heat and on chilly winter days. Both sceneries are equally beautiful. The Arch is truly a marvel, and it makes sense why it is a staple in the skyline art for St Louis. It's gorgeous! There are plenty of walking paths, trash/recycling bins, and water fountains (with bottle refill sizes) along the way. There's always something to explore here whether you're around these parts or not 👌😍
Such a beautiful park and the arch is such an iconic monument. The park is great to walk through. You can go up in the arch (the elevators are very tiny so hopefully you are not claustrophobic). It does take a while to go through the tour and then get on the elevators but the view is worth it. I would recommend going up at night.
Some of the best morning photo's are taken here.
We have not been back for a number of years and today's visit was pleasantly surprised. The green space and walk ways are well laid out. It's wonderful walking under the trees canopies with a light brreze. I hope that the flood is controlled. Love this place.
Beautiful arch. Pretty park, the river, beautiful weather today. Great history. Lovely place for a walk and a breeze with the sun on your face
The Arch really is amazing.
Must stop when you're in St. Louis. The museum and ride to the top are worth the money. Great experiences!!
The Arch is an amazing site to see! And the surrounding park is stunning.
I love my city and our ARCH..the Mississippi river has been callin for me to come down and visit her for weeks..I finally made it..the park grounds are beautiful too!

Absolutely amazing! I really wish that I was able to go up into the arch. I was told that you could but unfortunately I was only in town for work and only had a chance to go there after it was already closed. I will definitely have to come back another time.
I had never been to st Louis ever and this was an amazing place to see! I recommend it 100% if you are in the area!
Really enjoyed the historical museum area and the movie about the arch being made. The views from the top are amazing!
Very well maintained. Clean and beautifully laid out. The walking paths were great.
We picked a good day 2 take the hike up 2 Gateway Arch we had a great vacation n St. Louis!😁 …
Attended Blues at the Arch summer concert with STL's own, Kim Massie & Kennedy Holmes along with Annika Chambers. The Gateway Arch National Park is a short walk from 4 city parking lots. The old park parking garage was covered & grassed over. The concert area sits in a low area with the Metro Rail & Eads Bridge as a backdrop. This location creates a natural acoustic reverberation that provides an outstanding listening experience. There's a couple of food trucks & convenient porta potties. Bring your coolers, picnic baskets, lawn chairs & blankets...great fun for the entire family.
Lovely park with sweeping pathways through ponds on the banks of the Mississippi -- all on the shadow of the 63 story Arch! A photographer's paradise.
Wonderful new Museum under the arch, really worth checking out
Prepare to spend six or more hours here, there is so much to do
Beautiful park since remodeling. The water on the Mississippi is much higher than last weekend.
Beautiful and clean w a band playing and little games for the kids to play!
The sight was amazing but the signs on where you enter the arch are not clear. Also, we waited 45+ minutes total just for about 6-8 minutes at the top of the arch.
Great spot for families- spectacular in the true sense of the word. Great view of the river, magnificent architecture that you can appreciate in person. Plus, an amazingly top class museum that should be revisited to absorb it properly.
Sketchy looking dudes hanging out near parking lots and near entrance to national park!? 8 in the morning? No security? At $10 a car to park you should be able to afford an attendant.! You shouldn't have to post signs to remove all valuables!
The Gateway Arch Park is a great place. I enjoy taking visitors here from out of town. The new museum is much better than the old. I was really impressed by the new security checkpoint. If only TSA were as courteous and efficient. Overall great experience, buy your tickets online and early is you want a to go up at a specific time.
It's a great place to visit with family and friends. Play Frisbee or catch, walk around taking in the beautiful view of the riverfront, the Arch, the Landing and downtown St. Louis. You can take horse drawn carriage rides and helicopter tours, both of which I highly recommend. A fantastic place to picnic with loved ones, family, friends or alone. You can rides bikes or scooters. Go in the Arch Museum, to learn about the Arch and the area. Go up in the Arch to get an absolutely breathtaking view of St. Louis. It's also a perfect place to go alone. Walk, jog, run, bike the area. It's great to take a relaxing stroll around the Arch Grounds. There's quite a bit of space. You can lay in the grass and watch the river/sky. A great place to people watch, as a lot of people from all over the world and country come to visit the Arch. During the summer the park is open from 8am to 10pm. During the winter 9am to 6pm. Open all year round, except it is only closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. (The Arch is 630 feet (192 meters) tall; 630 feet is also the distance from leg to leg at ground level. Construction of the Arch began February 12, 1963 and was completed on October 28, 1965. The north tram was opened to the public on July 24, 1967. The south tram was completed in 1968. The entire Memorial is about 91 acres. This includes the Gateway Arch and grounds (about 62 acres), plus another 30 acres or so encompassing the Old Courthouse, Luther Ely Smith Square and a good bit of the surrounding streets.-nps.gov) The Gateway Arch Park is a National Historic Landmark. It compliments the Gateway Arch in many subtle ways that you really need to see and experience yourself. It is truly a treasure of St. Louis and our great nation. And we love to share this wonderful treasure. May God bless and keep us.
Fun place amazing views
Great museum & ride to top view. Unfortunately, any handicapped/ disabled parking is still quite a ways away. Suggestion is to find parking then get Uber or taxi to get you closer. Not saying much if you don't have a wheel or transport chair. Distances are great.
It was a nice evening...we were taking senior pictures
This is a must see!! The renovations are great with lots of history separated by historical timelines. Very easy to follow from century to century. Great family day. Booked the tram rides in line in advance. No waiting in lines. We had a great time!!
It's not your typical national park. I'm fact it's nothing like the other national parks but it is definitely worth the trip. The museum is well done and the arch itself is awe inspiring!
Quick stop for a photo in the rain. I guess it's worth seeing if it's not out of the way. Not glad or sad about stopping there.
Lots of fun for the kids! Take the tram up to the arch. The museum is nice and lots of good exhibits. The area up top is really small, so if you are afraid of confined spaces, probably not for you.
Beautiful plant life with species that are only native to St. Louis. I love the fact that they have new pathways that lead straight down to the riverfront. The park has a pathway that loops around and is good for biking and running. This is a good area to go picnicking and is also has a good little area for your kids to play at. 5 stars.
I went on a school field trip and it was great. We went to the top. Very nice instructors. They have a gift shop with anything you could want. Also the museum was very interesting and cool.
This park is beautiful. Family friendly and very clean.
Our tour guide was very informative and personable. The ride to the top was quick and easy and not crowded. If you are from out of town, I would say its definitely worth checking it out.
Good place where you can walk near the river, especially if you are interested of live music (it happens sometimes, see the GWA site for more information). But be careful - the Gateway Arch and The Gateway Arch Park is not the same but very close (5-10 minutes by walk)
Fantastic place for travelers of ALL ages. The museum is fun and interactive for young and old alike. NEW ENTRANCE is near the old courthouse. Definitely worth the visit.
It looked very pretty with the trees and flowers blooming in the park
Neat area to go to. Sadly I did not see inside, we got there a little too late and a park ranger said it was “too dangerous” there. Neat photos none the less!
So great to visit a national landmark even after hours it was magestic.
We loved it. A fun way to spend a half a day. Beautiful well taken care of park and the Arch has to be seen to in person to really be appreciated.
Well? The gateway to the west. If you like tiny windows at a premium price, head to the top!
Congrats on creating a giant croquet wicket!
And to think that all I though was in St. Louis was ribs. Silly me! Being from Minnesota, this was an upgrade. I didn’t have to wear 8 layers to shield myself from the -55 degree wind chill. So that was nice. Still no In-N-Out Burger, so for not having that, I docked a star off.
serene place to relax and take a breath

Had tickets for 12:40 but didnt get on the tram going up until 1:20. Not a problem for us, but had to catch a plane. Just so others know.
Went through the exhibit and it was really nice. Weren't able to go up in the Arch, but it was nice seeing what they had done to the grounds.
Very cool to bring your kids here. Their eyes just light up when they get close to the arch and see how big it really is. Worth the stop!
Nice dog park here, totally free
Just beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Well manacured park! Could be a lot of fun when the weather warms up!
Love it. Go to the museum and ride the Arch. Conveniently located by Busch Stadium so make a vacation and see a baseball game while you're here.
Loved it highly recommend to all a must see unbelievable didn't know the total history of it. Now well informed and been to the top. Not for the skirmish. 😁 …
I love the new arch grounds! Very well done. The new museum is definitely worth the trip as well.
Beautiful park with amazing views and very nice area to spend some time. It is very clean and the parking nearby was very convenient.
Really well kept and clean
So beautiful
Went to the blues festival!!! Great time!! No arguing or fighting, everybody had a great time and there were no mosquitos!!!!! Loved it and love the Arch!!!!!
Great views of the city.
Always a nice time here with the family. Peaceful and beautiful. Unfortunately right now it's a little flooded, but still a good time.
It was amazing scenery! Especially being up in air thousands feet!! I can’t wait to go back in the summer time.
Beautiful Park with lots of fun things to do close by
Simply loved it. The view of the building looks fantastic all around. I wondered how it was made.
Nothing can replace the arch ground it is definitely a wonder of the world and then icon for St.Louis. fabulous walk only thing that was wrong are there no bathrooms along the way.
Lovely staff, great guides, good cafe, and excellent pricing at the gift shop. Souvenir pennies and collectors coins.
Must see. Beautiful
I love to go here. Love to look out over the city. Took friends from out of town and they though it was awesome.
Very nice and clean. Very helpful people everywhere. Loved it!
Loved it must beautiful view i have seen i enjoyed it
Beautiful area. Short walk to parking. Started to storm. Didn't go up in the Arch.
Ride a tram to the top of the gateway arch! A megestic view of the city can be seen, and check out the museum too!
Beautiful museum brings our Westward expansion to life
The river walkway is currently flooded by at least 10 feet of Mississippi water. The views are still awesome though.
That Things is Big and Shiny
Nice area, loved seeing the Arch. It's a nice area to walk or ride bikes.
Very beautiful, I loved it as a kid and today I brought my kids to see it all for the first!
Loved this place since I was a child now my kids love it
An excellent place to explore
The tour is really cool, and you can take your time in the arch
Our family really enjoyed this place especially the carriage ride.
I love the renovations! The interactive, modern museum is awesome!💙 …

Nice field surrounding for dog friendly activities
Don't go on a holiday weekend. That's the best advice I can offer.
Gateway Arch Park is a National Monument and park with a historical museum inside.
Great place to vacation
Cool place to visit. Right by the river.
Lots of history and a great experience with a great view.
