Reviews of Olympic Sculpture Park
Very cool & fun place to spend some time outdoors! I really enjoyed the multiple pathways around different sculpture installations, and all the detailed information on each sculpture made the experience extra meaningful.
The paths are suitable for children and those who might have a harder time getting around because the paths are very wide and smooth and well maintained.
There are real bathrooms on site, as well as a cafe! Will have to check that out next time
Parking is limited- plan accordingly!
Also, the vivarium is not always open so don’t get your hopes up if you visit during the week!
If you haven't been here, or haven't been here lately, it is a fabulous place to visit on the Seattle waterfront. Don't let the name fool you, while there are outdoor sculptures to look at the trail that meanders along the waterfront is the main attraction. You can walk or bike with spectacular views or drop down and access the water to fish or dip your toes. You can continue your adventures along the waterfront to the south with great seafood restaurants and tourist shopping as well as the Seattle aquarium.
This is a neat green space that is perfect for leisurely strolls and whiling away time. It's cool to see an actual railroad beneath the park. Admission is free.
There are sculptures, but don't expect to see one at every turn. I think there's less than 10 of them, which is kinda disappointing. I'm pretty sure the Seattle Art Museum, which owns the sculptures, can generously install more if they want to.
What a wonderful place! Outdoor sculptures along the waterfront. There are wheelchair accessible trails (level, not too steep, the gravel/ dirt trails were packed down enough for my chair to navigate). Just a beautiful place to get outside and take a stroll!
A must visit spot in Seattle with beautiful views of the Elliot Bay. Used to live in the neighbourhood and enjoyed visiting this park almost daily for walks/runs. Lots of space for group yoga and picnics too. The running/walking path is nicely paved but can get crowded at times. On a clear day, there are beautiful views of Rainier.
Fun! You can walk like 3 miles one way and skip stones along the water. Kind of sketch when homeless people walk down the path but besides that very good. Great for biking running or walking.
Wonderful place to visit for a brief walkthrough or stay and relax. You can either start on the shoreline or off of Broad St./Western Ave. There are multiple areas to set either in the red chairs or on concrete. During the day you can also sit inside the building that does have AC and some tables and chairs inside or out- there's also a restroom inside. The sculptures are very unique and it's a really cool view if you're looking out towards the water/ mountains or back towards Space Needle.
Great place for decompressing or getting some outdoor quality time. Beautiful views and refreshing air. Interesting artwork and sculptures to stimulate the imagination. Long or short walks will lead to positive mental health benefits.
The sculptures are cool and it has a pretty view of the water and enjoyed the little picnic area that was out there! Wish there were more sculptures though!
Come here if you want a cool view of downtown and the water! Nice for just a chill walk!
We had an hour to stroll near the waterfront and headed for Sculpture Park.
The views are excellent and the path along the sculptures is a good stroll.
I found the art interesting, but I'm not a big fan of some of the creations. So the views are what attracts me here.
Beautiful park stretching along the water between Seattle's 2 main cruise ship terminals. Great for strolling, walking, jogging, bicycling... sitting and gazing at the sea. Other sites of interest along the park include naturalist on duty, rose garden, fishing pier (temporarily closed), grain terminal, and salmon pens.
The viewS!
Water view and you turn around and a picturesque Seattle skyline with the Space Needle competed for another great view.
The gray, misty, weather even adds to the beautiful feel/view....or, maybe, it's just me that like gray, cloudy days.
They have chairs (boldly colored reddish-orange) scattered on the grounds and one could just sit there and enjoy the view.
Not too far is a park and the Gates Bridge, more sites to see.
Beautiful view of the Sound and just the ideal location for viewing sunset. The large scale metal sculptures provide great scenery against the nature or the city skyline. Park closes at sunset.
This park is a little unconventional it's more an outdoor galley walk with a zig zag trail that takes you past large and small Sculpture installations. If starting from the top and walking down it ends with a beautiful waterfront view.
Enjoyable and nice place for a casual walk with a friend or partner.
The Olympic Sculpture Park is easily one of the best places to visit in Seattle. It has amazing views of the sound, is free and open, plus features many awesome and large scale sculptures throughout the grounds.
Also worth checking out are the excellent "SAM Lights" events that are hosted in the winter.
During one such occasion Sensebellum was invited out to provide a custom interactive lighting display spanning the trees throughout the park.
Buttons on a kiosk invited people to press them which in turn sparked sounds and light to emanate from the trees and connect the whole park!
Select pictures by the wonderful and talented "Jen Au".
Thank you again to the team at the Seattle Art Museum!
Beautiful park right along the the piers the path going through the park has its own bike lanes and is very well cared for. The views on a clear day are stunning in this long stretch of the sound I enjoyed for a couple of hours just passing through and then took one simple bus back to where I started. I return from time to time because it's a rare gem to get away amongst the crowed in just minutes walk from pikes market.
Such a beautifully designed park. Lots of greenery benches, and chairs around the sculpture. Overlooks the water, making it a great place to view the sunset over Puget Sound. Lots of walkways to use, and it's so close to the beach as well, making it a convenient stop on an evening stroll.
Lovely fresh green space with nice sculptures and a great view of the sound. It's free for visitors so would highly recommend taking advantage!
I’ve had headshots taken here several times in 10 years and I always find something new about the park! The views never get old, it’s peaceful yet there is a lot to see, and it’s in the heart of Belltown, a super urban neighborhood! Definitely come check out the sculptures, water views, and live rainforest tree exhibit!
Cool park that contains installations from the Seattle Art Museum. The park is free and contains a bunch of cool sculptures like Echo (a face sculpture) & The Eagle.
NOTE: We visited the Olympic Sculpture Park on September 24, 2022.
This is a great spot to see the sunset. There are many sculptures and you can see them while you walk. There is a small beach where you can see the city and if you walk more you can see Mount Rainier from the bridge.
Great green space to walk your dog or jog. Great views of the bay. Maybe has 5 or 6 sculptures which the Bill and Melinda Gates area I thought was really nicely done. Plan for a several mile walk and walk along the "beach" area also while you are there.
Nice free place with large sculptures spread out in a big park. Unfortunately it was drizzling and overcast when we were there, so we could not see very far, but we enjoyed the brief walk.
A huge park with multiple sculptures laid out along the paths. Many abstract creations , artworks make it an interesting place to visit in Seattle
The first place I visited when I first moved to Seattle. Love this park. So many beautiful sculptures, such an amazing view, a few geocaches. It's the perfect place to spend your Sunday morning! ☺️
This park is a real jewel in the emerald city. We had time to explore it all and also find the geocache and the Adventure Lab. The gorgeous dogwood trees were blooming and since they’re the flowers of BC we took photos of course!
Really nice place to watch the sunset and take nice pictures! Pet friendly. You can see the train going by!
Beautiful walk from Pike Place Market, beautiful trees, fun people watching experience. Chairs to sit in and great ocean views.
Super simple bike ride to the Sculpture Park. Along your ride, you get breathtaking views of the Sound, while also having direct access to downtown.
Wonderful place to go for a walk or biking! Very peaceful and beautiful scenery. My overall favorite place to go.
The twin sister of the famous Jaume Plensa monument in Jersey City. One is looking east and one is looking west. Catch the sun rise on the east coast and the best sunset here in Seattle. June 21st sunset in Seattle for the solstice and Dec 21st in Jersey City for the sunrise.
Very clean park with picturesque views.. the chairs in front of the view are very nice to sit on and enjoy the scene as well. There could have been a better way to enter the park (had to walk around the entire side before reaching the entrance) and it’s a bit far of a walk to the water as well. Idk maybe I’m just lazy lol
I’ve run past the park for nearly 5 years and yet never really stopped in to explore the arts. Finally last week I stopped and, wow, glad that I did as this place is amazing. Lots of great art spread out over a large area, my favorite was the undulating Richard Sera piece meant to mimic the hulls of ships.
This park is easily accessible and great to walk through any time of the year. It does close at sunset which is annoying as it's part of an actual path through Belltown to Myrtle Edward's Park.
The views at sunset from the park are incredible. Highly recommend getting yelled at to leave so you can take sunset pictures lol.
1. Many bunnies around sunset time.
2. A great outdoor for a small jog or to walk the dog.
3. Walking distance to waterfront park.
4. Walking distance to Pike Place Market.
5. Great view from Top.
Great park to walk around and look at the sculptures or to have a picnic on the grass. There are also a couple small beaches with lots of logs to sit on.
Only 2 downsides to this park, there’s only one public bathroom about a 30 minute walk from the entrance of the park, and the park itself has a train track running along it. The train that passes by is pretty loud and takes about 10 min or more to pass. But still highly recommend stopping by.
Beautiful walk next to the water and lots of cool art, was quiet and very relaxing to stroll through.
This park has some sculptures with weird shapes. The park is small and has a nice walk around, close to the beginning of the piers. The views are great, specially at sunset. There are some patches of grass to lay around if you want, as well as benches and picnic tables. Perfect place for having a good time with your family, friends or dog and for photography lovers.
Great place for relaxation, taking a hike along the pier and enjoy the scenery… sculptures, view and surrounding landmark.s.
It takes time to appreciate the sculpture park. Once you get there, you'll find this static constellation of sculptures full of life. Come on a good day, you'll also be rewarded with a nice view of the sound.
The first time I was here, the only thing I ever noticed is the bright red sculpture "Eagle" that is unmistakably a work of Alexander Calder. As I pass by the park from time to time, I started to notice smaller scale sculptures and they are all interesting, stimulating. Louise Bourgeois's "Eye Benches" are disguised at park benches, his "Father and Son" is hidden in a fountain if you don't enough attention. It took me a few months to realize that Jaume Plensa's "Echo" is a human face. My favorite sculpture is "Love & Loss" by Roy McMakin, the red ampersand sign makes my thoughts wander every time I pass by it.
I walked with my family here, it’s so beautiful and beautiful when it’s summer and the sun is shining. My mom wasn’t impressed with the sculpture! She didn’t understand what it was haha
A great little adventure in downtown! Free and relaxing experience. Amazing art.
The views were amazing from the vantage point. I was thinking of seeing more sculptures here, but there weren’t many installations.
Great place for a evening stole with the fam. The sculpture are fun to look at and landscape views are stunning.
The wonderful paths where sculptures and viewers become intimate and enmeshed in the artists embrace and vision. Grand vistas, a working harbor and a smooth meandering path along the shoreline. The sunsets are magical and there is always a slight breeze
This is a great place for pictures bike rides strollers and dogs!
Walk anytime of the day to experience nature alongside sea view. Love our long walks here
Great park connecting Belltown to the waterfront filled with plenty of hangout spots as well as interesting sculptures. The path is built in a way where you do not need to cross any streets or railroad tracks from Western Avenue to the water. The surroundings always feel safe and people at the park are always friendly. Pets are allowed as well.
This place has a special place in my heart. I always come here and all my stress disappears. An awesome place to unwind from all the stress.
Very nice park for a walk in the evening. Different water views. Nice view of Mt Rainier and even saw a seal in the water.
Beautiful location, nice walking paths through simulated coastal aspen forest, wild flower gardens, with hidden gems (sculptures) among the garden specimens.
It is fun to meander-&-mingle with the artworks, or sit-&-soak-up the sunshine while sprawled on the lawn, basking in seaside scenery - or sit meditatively in the artfully placed orange chairs that are dotted around the park.
And of course the larger-than-life sculptures, blending with the natural surroundings provide artful vignettes to delight the visitor or photographer. All free so far as we could determine …
It’s a beautiful peaceful park with modern aesthetic art sculptures. I liked the the water side of it the most!
Nice place, we spend a nice time their. It’s a big place, you can use bike and spend a maxing time close the river.
It's a nice park, not too much art, really. But very popular to have a Picknick and watch the sunset.
Nice walking area with the occasional sculpture that makes you stop and think for a few seconds. Good waterfront view or walk down towards the beach areas. Plenty of space to walk and/or bike.
Worth the visit for a quiet time, compared to the pier 57 or the needle park. We walked from pier 57 along the waterfront up to the Olympic sculpture park and then to the space Needle with a wagon with 2 kids. Overall walk was nice and easy on the paved road. To get up the Olympic sculpture park you need to take steps or go up dirt road ramp, so it's a challenge with strollers. The park is nice an be has chairs for public seating and beautiful views of the water and downtown. Free admission
I mean, I love this place- walking through it and looking at the art, hearing the waves. Favorite time to go is sunset/twilight. If you walk the whole park and back, it's a nice little "track". There's only one bathroom at the north end of the park, so just be forewarned.
Scenery of nature with water views. Refreshing breeze, relaxing, and waking trails.
Free and by the water, within walking distance of the Space Needle and accompanying attractions and piers. Wander the grounds or jog and bike through, even visit the beach
Beautiful place for a walk, coffee or just sit and relax.
Remarkably beautiful artworks backed by Elliott Bay views. I recently moved from Belltown to EQA, and while Lake Union is so beautiful, I miss the rich, amazing salt water sunset views everyday.
Great place to stroll during the day and see the city line, just not when it’s rainy and windy 😆 …
Always a relaxing place to walk down the sculpture park to enjoy the art and scenery down to Elliot Bay. Don't forget to stop by the pavilion for some delicious food at Market At The Park.
Lovely, quiet park. Very nice view of the bay. Perfect area to watch the sunset.
Great view relaxing walk along trails
Great spot to visit with friends or just go for a walk
Great park to walk and see some interesting sculptures. It runs along the water and there are places to sit and relax.
Very cool and calm place to get air, see the bay, and watch as trains pass, but just know the trains are close and can be loud in case that isn’t something you like. But it is a great place to chill
Nice views of the city and the water. The park crosses over the road and train lines connecting the downtown to the waterfront. Lots of interesting Sculptures to view of course. A good walk if your looking for something to do downtown.
Great Puget sound and Seattle waterfront views. The art walk of sculptures are fun to visit and read. Views of the needle are also easy to come by. Great route to connect to Myrtle Edwards Park and the Elliot Bay trail. Closes early in the fall and winter seasons.
Beautiful tranquility and Bay views with wonderful sculptures to enjoy.
Nice views of the bay...pier and cool art pieces!
I went with my family to this park. It's not much of a park, but we did have a nice walk. I expected more sculptures, but nevertheless, we had fun taking pictures around the place. It wasn't very crowded. There were kids playing in the water fountain.
Absolutely lovely spot to visit. Recommend going an hour before sunset to stroll around and look at some of the sculptures. Head closer to the water once the sun starts setting, and you're golden!
Great modern sculptures overlooking Puget Sound! Walkable distance from downtown, just minutes from the Space Needle, and much less crowded. This was a great, free attraction to see in the city! Loved the views of the Sound too.
This is my favorite park for weekend walks. It is near ocean and long enough for a good walk. It has small beaches in it. Also pedestrian and cyclists have different roads. Park is mostly safe. I see several families during weekend. There was a fishing spot but looks like it is temporarily closed. In sunny days mount rainier is visible. Also good point for couples for sunset. For art lovers, there are several sculptures inside the park.
This is a lovely quiet area to walk and sit by the waterfront. There are a number of sculptures located in the grounds. They have chairs set out along the path for sitting and enjoying the views.
Nice park setting sculptures are okay seen the same Calder work in other places
An amazing park to walk in, walk your dog, picnic or just sit on a bench and reflect as you look out into the Puget Sound. Easy flat paved walking. A few places have an incline but can be avoided by going around.
This is a great place with good trails for a nice walk or cycling. Good sculptures with descriptions. Lot of places with good shade and benches to relax watching the water front.
The Seattle Olympic Sculpture Park is an amazing stretch of shoreline, views, art and culture. Free and open to the public, it offers running and biking, picnic and urban hiking. Downtown workers rub elbows with tourists and city dwellers rain and shine. At any time, one can see the Olympic mountains across the Sound, large public art, the Space Needle, enormous cargo ships, public watercraft, and more. It is one of the best resources the city has to offer, especially on a sunny day! I highly recommend a visit.
Great park free of camping transients as it's privately owned. Highly recommend for watching the sunset. Bordered by two other private parks which creates almost an endless feel to the waterfront.
Fabulous place to spend some time outdoors.
Excellent job place for a walk along the water. Walked all the way from the sculpture park to Elliot Bay Park. It was cold and rainy so it wasn’t the most “beautiful” (depends how you define beautiful, I guess) walk but it was well worth it.
Beautiful park! It has a dirt track for jogging and running. Perfect for a run besides the Puget Sound. We visited around 6 PM and still found a lot of people working out or just jogging. Looks pretty safe as well.
This is one of my most favorite places in the city. The park is at the end(north)of the water front walk way. As you walk through the park there are sculptures to look at and read about. There are also a few interactive sculptures where, when you interact with it, you become the art, you become the sculpture. And it's dog friendly. Some of the park goes out to the sound. There's a beach there. No sand, just rocks and driftwood to sit on and enjoy the sound of the Puget sound lapping at the shore.
Such an awesome area to walk around, lots of beautiful sculptures and art installations from local artists. Really enjoyed watching the sunset from this area and walking up and down Alaskan Wy, lots of piers, shops and restaurants to enjoy.
I have been amazed as this park had been hidden away from me until today when I decided to try it out and see what it’s all about and I was surprised at the green open space right above the train tracks and above the park below and it’s a cool place to come and check out the cool sculptures and a sunset or a cool trail or the bay it’s just a real gem!!
An inspirational place to visit and take a moment to enjoy the scenery.
This park/trail that follows the shoreline is breathtaking. Views of the skyline on one side with stretches of pebble covered beaches with giant driftwood on the other. Sculpture and amazing architecture everywhere. You even get a clean picture of the city with the Space Needle in the background at one spot. If you miss this while in town, you are missing Seattle.
This is a privately managed park owned by the Seattle Art Museum. It has 24/7 security and closes at night. By far the most well maintained and enjoyable park in Seattle. 100% tent and needle free.
Sweeping views of the Sound and a great place to take our dog on a walk.
Enjoyed the sunset views on a brisk November night!
A very nice park on the water with good trails for walking and biking. Places to sit and fun little pebbly beaches here and there. The sculptures are interesting and fun to explore and the views of the water beautiful.
I live on 1st Ave and go here almost every single evening. It offers great view, is not too crowded mostly, and is well paved. It is connected to other parks which makes for a nice stretch of a walk.
Have seen bits of the park on different occasions and finally spent the time to walk the entire park. What an amazing use for a property that was formerly anything but memorable. This park is amazing in every detail. A definite work of art for it"s landscaping alone, and then comes the sculptures and other installations. Every visual on this piece of land is nothing short of magical. The amount of talent that went into this installation is world class. Take the time to experience this park thoroughly. Sit quietly in the midst of it all anywhere, and just be a part of your surroundings. The experience is a visual delight. . And don t miss seeing the Bill and Melinda Gates Amphitheater too!
Nice park to walk, see the sculptures, enjoy the beauty of ocean .
Visitors can sit and enjoy , if outside weather is warm.
We can see *Space Needle* from here.
Restrooms are available in SAM building nearby park.
If it is closed, we are allowed to use it in *Parking* area.
Its a refreshing park at the edge of a bustling city. Bike tracks, jogging/walking track, lot of places to sit, views of islands across sound and filled with awesome residents of Seattle. This place will make your evening work it, specially when its sunny.
I've been there several times and have enjoyed a lot every time. Even my parents loved this park.
Thats cool place for spending some time and walk around. Lots of art around the park but information signs were in worse situation ever and I could nt read any of those.
If you are in town and need some freshmen’s thats defiantly could be a good choice
I loved my time here! This park is better than I expected. There are a few different pathways to explore and there are many interesting sculptures to enjoy. I liked the large red sculpture with a great view of the Space Needle & lots of seating available. The actual building doesn’t contain much, but is convenient for a resting area & bathrooms. I also loved that the Elliot Bay and Centennial Park are right there, with nice walking and biking paths.
Very pretty and quiet area. Beautiful view of the sound and the mountains in the background. Great photo ops here and it's not too far off the beaten path of Pikes Market and downtown Seattle.
Great views from atop the hill into Puget Sound and the waterfront. The sculpture provide a great contrast to the natural environment, while still complementing it. Nice walking paths that also cross the railroad tracks and connect to the waterfront.
A nice place to just chill for awhile under some trees and people watch. Very cool that they have metal chairs scattered around for the public to use.
A great place to explore art outdoors when the weather's nice (and it's free!).
It was fun to stroll through there with the kids & then go down to the little beach area next to it.
Rain didn't stop us. It was a great park and great view to the coast. Park was cleaned and well maintained. Suggestion: grab some coffee and bakery items from Pike Market and enjoy your early morning in Olympic Park!
My Mom and me have never been to Seattle even though we were both born here. So we had to stop and take a walk here, it did not disappoint.
Beautiful walkable path
Great views of the city and Puget Sound, my dog loves it, but I do miss the George Benson Waterfront Streetcar that used to be there.
Such a cool park!! Very well maintained grounds with a beautiful view of the water. Pedestrian and bike friendly throughout the park and you'll even find little pocket beaches! Definitely a must for those visiting
Absolutely love coming here! Whether I’m studying, enjoying a picnic with my wife, or agitated,...this is the perfect place to come! Whether you’re watching a wedding party, views of Puget Sound, the cruise ships docking, or simply having a picnic, this is the perfect place to be. Views of downtown Seattle are the best!! The crowds are nice too! Not too many transients are loitering as well. You might find one or two. This is also the perfect place to fly kites/drones.
Incredible views and lovely place to walk around and explore. The park is quite expansive, and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. There are trails for jogging and bike riding as well as an area to search for small sea creatures along the bank that is staffed by naturalists.
I don’t think those sculptures are something the tourists must see or visit but the view was great
Great place to walk around and reflect and enjoy the waterfront views. It’s free which is a big bonus while trying to visit Seattle on a budget. The amount of works is great and the walk through the park is relaxing and enjoyable. It is also a close walk to other nearby attractions and a great waterfront view/beach at the end. I highly recommend checking this place out while visiting.
Gorgeous day!! Walk ways, beach, grassy areas.. Stunning views of the water and close by to downtown.... Make a day of it, bring a picnic lunch, play frisbee or play catch....great for walkers/joggers or bring your pet!! Highly recommend!!
Art is subjective, right? Well, the sculptures are just not my cup of tea. However, it was a nice place to walk around and kill some time. There were lots of people jogging around, and families. It's right by the water. You can walk from the park, along the wharf, back to Pikes Market.
My favorite sculptures was the Love and Loss. There's a lot of places to sit and enjoy the scenery, or have lunch, weather permitting.
One of the coolest things to do in Seattle today was cloudy but we got beautiful views it doesn't matter what the weather is like it's always going to be amazing. Be sure to check out lost in love sculpture. Also the birch trees proved to be just as amazing sculptures as the man made ones!
Nice paved path for walking/running with a separate path for things with wheels. Pretty standard, but a nice view and some good grass for your dog to play around in. My pup loves the sticks here!
Nice place to stroll through. The walk along the water can be relaxing. Lots of great pieces to enjoy during your time here. Great place to get away from larger tourist crowds.
This is my favorite place, i mean especially because i love the ocean breeze every now and then, ans bonus you get to see beautiful art while getting your breeze.
Beautiful park, easy and entertaining walk.
Super nice place, it hace a wonderful view of the coast and surrounding. The park is located in an slope lot, then it is like a ramp whose connect highest streets with the water border. The park have a nice design and good infrastructure like benches and shadowed places. I think could it be more sculptures there
Gorgeous sculpture park with views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains on a clear day. The park also features an amphitheater and screens outdoor movies during the summers. I also like to go jogging through the park and enjoying the view along the running path that follows Elliott Bay.
One of the more scenic parks in the city. It's a beautiful walk by the water. Doesn't have an off leash dog park but some pretend like it's one. Has two beach accesses and a bike trail. Would make the perfect place for a evening stroll.
Nice Seattle park on the waterfront with a trail and good views. It doesn’t have the elevation of other parks and is next to active railroad tracks, but the park is well maintained and easy to walk. Expect a lot of people (it’s no secret).
Nicely curated pieces, relevant to Seattle history. The views of Puget Sound enhance the experience even more.
Beautiful for walking around quiet waters! Well maintained and located close to downtown.
I love this park. The sculptures are modern, and come in all sizes. The smaller ones are well blended into the landscape. It has lots of space and it's easily accessible by the nearby walking path on the waterfront. And who doesn't love looking at the sound during lunch?
Relaxing green space along the water. Nice to easily escape the city. Interesting sculpture and not much for homeless or junkies.
Big walking paths along the water. A few large sculptures thrown in along the way. It's okay. Nice for a free walk.
Really peaceful place with a beautiful view of Seattle's various scenic offerings. You have mountains, water, the city and art all in one place. You can also show up 30 minutes before sunrise and watch from the sun come up over the water.
It was alright, good if you have some time to kill
Great outside space with interesting large sculptures and a great view of the Puget Sound. Easy connect to walking trails and park along the water way. There were a couple of small beaches where you could get down to the water. Fun watching the ships on the sound and the dogs chasing sticks in the water on a sunny day.
It’s a nice place to stroll around. The sculptures are not for everyone’s taste.
A great destination for a leisure walk alone or with friends. Bring your dog too - everyone is sure to enjoy! Beautiful artwork to admire and learn about from the Seattle Art Museum collection. I, personally, love walking through the Olympic Sculpture Park down to Myrtle Edwards Park, and follow Elliott Bay Trail for a nice walk along the water!
So cool! I didn't get to walk around as much as I wanted to so I'll have to come back. But beautiful park and cool sculptures
Gorgeous views. Clean. Beautiful art. Green space park.
Beautiful place for a nice walk or picnic. Me can my family grab some breakfast and head for a nice morning walk through the park. Great sculptures and art, nice little cove beach they made was a great place to spot deals and relax.
Such a lovely park and example of landscape architecture and design.
It is fantastic for walking and cycling and has spectacular views.
View's views view Seattle port, ships, water taxis and ferries. Is not just for bike rides, and jogging, but strolls wide, pets on leach and pedestrians. Parking limited so park at about 2-4 blocks parking is cheep. Come late stay for the sunset. Close to restaurants, sorry didn't see any bathrooms.
It was my first time in Seattle and Olympic sculpture park was on my recommendation list. So I decided to check it out. Omg the view was beautiful especially walking through watching the sunset. I could probably sit here just chillin. The path way along the water was beautiful too. 😍 …
Great location , difficult to find parking if street parking is full
If you want to take a romantic stroll, or maybe just hang out have a picnic. The Olympic sculpture park has it all. Beautiful scenery wide open spaces. 3 miniature beaches. I mean for being a few blocks from the space needle at the north west corner of the waterfront you should definitely mark this as a destination and photo opportunity!
Blessed to be living in lower Queen Anne and walking distance to this beautiful waterfront view (esp in the summer). Always a pleasure going on a walk/run/bike ride/ using the gym bars to pretend like I can do a pull-up.
The Sculpture Park holds a special place in my heart. I loved their Thursday's at the Park. Live music and food trucks. Hoping it comes back again.
You can go for a picnic, check out the art, watch the boats go by and enjoy the sunshine.
Love the open space in Belltown, with excellent views of the trains and the water. Good little trails for a small park!
Well-kept, free access and great views of Puget Sound & Seattle itself. It's not very large so don't expect a walk-through to take long. It's definitely worth continuing your walk down toward Centennial Park for more amazing sights.
A nicely maintained, clean park with a few sculptures as well as information about them. I wouldn’t say that this is a must see in Seattle- but nice if you’re already in the area.
Beautiful experience! Visiting from Wisconsin, so glad our hosts brought us down as we didn't have time for Seattle Art Museum.
An evening stroll or morning jog through the waterfront sculpture park is one of the best experiences a tourist can take and get the "local perspective" of living there. A great walk, along the north end pier 70 and going for more than a mile.
The most beautiful sunset I think I have ever seen! I was also able to spot Mt Rainier!
Beautiful place the art is interesting the views of waterfront beautiful! People strolling around having have a relaxing time!
This is a fun park to walk around and enjoy views. I’ve brought my young kids but kids sometimes want to climb on the art—I mean, I’m tempted to climb it too.
Beutiful park with a lot of interesting sculptures around, very good too chill out and enjoy a great view, bevause it's near the seafront. Also they have an amphitheater dedicated to Bill & Melinda Gates because of their donations. Very interesting !
Green space cleverly carved out between the streets and railroad with a view of the Puget Sound. The water and the cityscape create lovely backdrops for the sculpture. FYI: very nice public restrooms in the pavilion.
Each sculpture is given a good berth, something that seems missing in other sculpture gardens. The space required to tastefully stage each piece is beyond satisfactory. All in all, a truly wonderful place to go for a walk.
Clean, grass was nicely cut, the associated building is very nice as well as the indoor bathrooms, but as far as sculptures go, i must of missed the bulk of them b/c i saw so few, and most of the ones i did see were definitely low imagination collections of miscellaneous items.
Nice place for walk and enjoy the ocean view, plus it’s so close to lots of restaurants with delicious food.
Lovely place for an excursion along the water.
What a cool (and FREE) Seattle experience! Right on the water, it's a great place to take a stroll. Walkable from Pike - it's a natural progression to a basic intro to the stereotypical tourist experience. The building was open and had decently clean bathrooms which is a bonus!
This one of my favorites parks in Seattle! Bike trail and views till sunset are amazing!!!!
Awesome display of art and a great place to walk cute puppies!
A beautiful park. In the summer, it has awesome views of the Olympics at sunset. In the winter, it's still nice to wander between the statues and get away from the busy Seattle downtown and find some peace.
Amazing park with jogging tracks and sculpture all around the vicinity.
Superb space with guards and security which keeps it safe.
There is a closing time of it to be around 930 or something so keep that in mind.
It is just near the spaces needle
It’s the sculpture park of the northwest. Don’t expect tiny sculpture park like one in Oslo. Also it’s a park first that happens to have sculptures or artwork as part of it. One got to explore, discover, get lost and stumble upon sculptures. It’s a great venue to start journey along the Elliott Bay to the north or towards downtown Seattle. Besides the cool building my favorite is Richard Sara’s sculptures. It’s rustic, simple, pure, and amazingly artful. Got me, it requires silent way of experiencing rather that an art inspired discussions.
Great place to take a leisurely walk especially on a nice sunny day and gaze at the larger than life sculptures & beautiful scenery of Puget Sound & the Olympic Mountains.
Definitely worth going! It has an amazing view and chairs so you can sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery and sunset!
Great park...lots of people. We also went on a beautiful spring day so the crowds were large, but most p eopke were friendly. The art is amazing and the Olypmic mountains create the best backdrop. Great views Seattle!!
An opportunity to walk among the trees and greenery while enjoying the various art sculptures. Beautiful area, where you can find a spot, sit and relax before moving on to explore the rest of this fun city. This is a regular park to sit down and rest up and see the waterfront. There are couple of sculptures around. We walked to it and its definitely a hike from the city. We took a taxi to the cruise. Its not a must do in Seattle.
Pretty cool spot, literally! Avoid this place if you can’t handle cold sea breeze, at least when it’s not sunny.
Otherwise one if the better places to admire Seattle’s art, skyline and bays. Nice modern art, a lot of places to sit and I love how it’s connected all the seattle to-dos.
You can either walk or take ur bike.
Great place to walk around and see lots of hidden sculptures! Quite a bit larger space than I though it would be.
One of my favorite places to spend time with family on sunny restful weekend. Easy and free parking. Good art installations and a small walk to Elliot Bay
Peaceful and a wonderful place for a picnic. The outdoor space is open, breezy and offers great views of the ocean. The sculptures are ok but I was more impressed by the views. You can catch a glimpse of the Space Needle and the Seattle Great Wheel from this park. The pier is steps away. I recommend spending some time here, great place to rest and recharge.
Not a huge park, but its pretty and along the waterfront. I was hoping there would be more sculptures, but theres just a few.
Backdropped by the Seattle skyline, this serene park contains beautiful sculptures, windy trails, and plenty of green space to sit and appreciate the Sound and sounds.
Wonderful place. Amazing examples of modern art, incredible views, green grass, few hills, nice people, what else... For me, great memories, two of my kids were learning to walk here.
One or two good pieces and also great place to relax and watch the bay. Overall the art pieces look like leftovers that didn't fit in the Ikea show room. Really not much going on.
Nice park that connects the walkways of the harbor to the streets of lower Queen Anne. Enjoyed the sculptures and walking along the paths.
Nice board walk and overlook of water. Great to walk or run or walk ur dogs. Enjoyed a good couple of hours here.
So wonderful to stumble upon this spot. Clean and well-maintained park. Gorgeous spot to walk through on your way to Pike Place with a great view of ocean/mountain horizon on one side and Seattle city scape on the other.
Super cool place with amazing art
Great place to take a stroll through some stunning art and then up along the coast. We were treated to views of Ranier and a bald eagle on a brisk January day. There is even a micro beach if you want to skip some stones or let your puppy go for a swim.
What a nice park to take leisurely stroll next to the waters! It is perfect to give your legs some exercise while feeding your eyes some interesting sculptures.
Best of all, it's free and comes with fresh air.
If you love sculptures, water, and mountains, this is the park for you. If I lived here, I would visit every single day. Make this a stop on your trip to Seattle.
The Olympic Sculpture Park is an open area in the Belltown area of Seattle.
We called in on our way from Pike Place Market to the Seattle Centre.
The sculpture's hold a fascination for anyone interested in the creative arts. With open ended black blocks at one end of the park, and a row of chairs across the middle.
A nice way to spend a pleasant and relaxing walk around Seattle with lovely views of Puget Sound.
It was a rather cloudy day out, but the sculptures are really neat! While I was there I saw volunteers working on a sculpture for a local artist, John Grade, and they even asked if I wanted to help! Really friend ly folks all focused on art. Great place for a casual stroll by the water!
Had a great time walking through the sculpture park with my friend! All of the pieces seemed like statement pieces. Would have spent more time there if the weather would have been nicer, but had a great time nonetheless. Definitely will be coming back soon!
It was such a nice place to take a stroll and see these wonderful creations! When I went there, I had to try and figure out some of the sculptures like this metal tree! We did not know what it was until we got close to it! It was just so nice to see these creations!
Boasted with beautiful scenery of everything that Washington has to offer, Space Needle, city views, mountains, sunset over puget sound, sculptures, nature, walking/biking trails, picnic tables, floating fields that becomes neighborhood dog park in the evenings, etc...so much beyond a few sculptures, this park has it all...
This is a great spot in Seattle for urban landscapes to views of Elliot Bay. Filled with interesting sculptural art, paths to the waterfront and behind. Definitely a space worth exploring, whether a tourist or a local.
If the sunset looks like it will be interesting I love to go down here to capture it.
Rain or shine a place for contemplation and reflection. Works are medium to large scale and paths are gravel, possibly suitable for wheelchair access. I personally for see more sculptures to be added as it currently is a mix of urban escape, running park, and children's exploration. Views are exceptional and is about a 10 minute downhill walk from the Space Needle. I was pleasantly surprised with my good timing to enjoy a sunset with other park goers.
Came here while strolling the sea view cycle and jogging trail. Nice trail to follow, ample distance to cover and stay fit
This was a great break from classic Seattle attractions. While it is a bit north of downtown/the piers, it was fun taking photos and people watching. We lucked out with a nice sunset, too! Will be taking our next visitors here after COVID.
Love the detailing work in this park and I really like the water thing next to the trail , feels breezy and refreshing. Went late night and saw people were jogging at that time also . Pretty safe ☺️
One of the great spots of Seattle to relax.
This park has some great views , some unique sculptures and a lot of happy faces.
People visit this park a lot with their kids and it's a great way to spend the afternoon. On clear nights you can get a great look of Mount Rainier and all those ferries to the neighboring islands
During summer, there are a lot of events , concerts during the weekends making it a great place for everyone!
Very basic structures, silver tree, red starfish and a fiberglass wall. The fountain is ok. The grassy area is great to sit on when weather is great.
Its just a beautiful mix of art and green areas to enjoy a nice walk... In autumn it's so beautiful
We had a tour of the sculpture garden with a volunteer from SAM and it was really fabulous. I highly recommend taking the tour!
Yes yes yes beautiful park I love that everytime I turn I see art I love it my kids love it will be coming back next year.
Nice little walk watching the sunset after we ate our dinner 🌇 …
If you love walking and wandering outdoors while looking at large works of art, this is one of the best places to do it. Olympic Sculpture Park is one of Seattle's modern urban parks that features sculptural art curated by the Seattle Art Museum over 9+ acres next to the scenic Puget Sound/Seattle shoreline. It features works by Alexander Calder, local Seattle artists, and more. On my first time visiting, I was pleased to see a familiar sculpture of Jaume Plensa's that reminded me of another one of his in Barcelona. I've also noted that the park also features plants and trees that reflect the native ecosystem of the Pacific Northwest, so there's something for the naturists to appreciate as well. You might even catch some local wildlife hopping about.
My third visit to this park was during March 2021 during the pandemic and it was not only a great idea, but a relief as well. There weren't too many people and I appreciated the solitude and peace the park provides. Best of all, this park is free and open to the public.
This is a fun park that crosses a 4-lane road as well as a railroad to get to the Seattle waterfront. Good places for a jog, gaze at the waterfront and sculptures or even to just get from point a to point b. Definitely a must see in anyone interested in park typologies.
Such a beautiful park! Right off the water front with such an amazing view.
Love this park! Great starting point to exploring the city. Well designed landscape architecture with sculptures and a beautiful view of the water. The corten steel sculptures are a favorite. You can continue along the water or head into the city. A nice spot with many interesting layers!
Park is neat and surprisingly very mild odor of weed compared to gas works park. Wonderful view of the ocean, cruises, boats, and ferries. The train track was a bit noisy but it was a great day to hangout with family at this place. If have no problem walking, it's worth exploring.
This is my favorite park in Seattle! I love that it’s on the water, there’ a bunch of amazing views, there’s a beach with tons of driftwood AND it’s filled with sculptures and they’re all so incredibly different and interesting!
Great park with views of lake on one side and Seattle city on the other. The walking path in the park extends to the lake side, it's beautiful and quiet. Have a good meal or coffee in the pike place market and then come for a walk in this park.
Beautiful and serene place to visit. Very peaceful(minus the loudspeaker they have) and good place to find your sense of peace
An exquisite park with thought provoking works of art throughout, incredibly beautiful design to the park itself, a gorgeous view of the Puget Sound/Olympic Mountains and great restaurants and sights nearby. Maintained like a museum! A Seattle landmark that is on par with any international treasure!
Really cool free park with multiple interesting public art exhibits.
Beautiful and serene waterfront for running, jogging, strolling, dog walking... Or just a nice place to read a book and enjoy some quiet time. Get some respite from the crowded and noisy downtown!
Nice walk north of the waterfront. Great bike lanes. Scenic beach areas with nice views and sitting area.
Amazing place for a sunset stroll, complete with sculptures and beach access. Surprising I didn't see a single homeless person.
Nice open park, good for a walk and right along the coastline with a small beach available to relax at. Fascinating sculptures with small descriptions for each.
Love the park, it's nice for evening runs, walks or taking the dogs out.
Good place for walk.....love it❤️
Awesome views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Interesting sculptures. Great place for an afternoon stroll.
Beautiful park to have a great time to yourself with family or friends. If it's a sunny day it's even a better day to take a walk or have a picnic and enjoy the beautiful Seattle.
Beautiful views but not really anything to do there. Was a pretty day so worth the walk
This is a nice park close to the land of water west of the space needle. A great place to take pictures when the sun starts to go down. This park also has interesting artwork in some seccions of the park. One of this is the Bird sculpure which is abstract. Also, the Seattle art museum exhibit some art work at this park too. Nice place to visit and wak around.
There weren't any workers in the building at the start, so it was difficult to figure out any details about the sculpture park. Eventually, we simply wandered around and saw most of the sculptures. There were several unique pieces, so that was nice. However, some of the explanation plaques we're almost overgrown and hard to read.
Not as many sculptures as we were expecting! Still a fun walk, although it didn't feel very accessible for wheelchairs or others, due to a gravel pathway.
One of the green gems of Seattle! A wonderful park with miles of paved & gravel tracks for walking, running or biking through. You will find ample views of the waters of the Puget Sound, easily spot the Space Needle, Seattle Harbor, Stadiums and the Great Wheel.
As the name implies, a lot of sculptures dotted throughout the park, created by local and national artists and free for the public throughout the year.
A great spot to visit any time of the day, but particularly in the evenings due to favorable westerly views of the sunset.
Enjoyed viewing the sculptures and walking the park.
This is an amazing park. Beautiful walking path with sculptures along it, overlooking the water. The sculptures and public works are so interesting. Also, SAM does events in their main space, and it's great for kids too. It's also cool for child free peeps as well. This park does an amazing job at making a cool park for adults and kids to enjoy. Another Seattle delight!
It was cool. Like, metal sculptures everywhere. I was riding my bike through the city, it's free and near other stuff and so it was a totally appropriate stop. Coolest thing in it was probably the cubes for me.
Fun and beautiful park to walk in with sculptures and great views. Even found a little kids are inside with books relevant to Seattle, art and culture. There were building toys for kids to make their own sculptures!
A lovely park, full of green sights, sculptures and really quiet. Great place to unwind and relax.
The staff do a great job to keep it safe and clean. Maybe too safe (watching you) hahah. The views and maintenance of the lawn is just picturesque
Gorgeous park with unique sculptures and great views of Puget Sound. This place is good for running, biking and dog walking. Ample place for dogs to play. Also, you can see cargo ships sailing by.
Nice to be outside by the bay looking at huge pieces of art. They had so much to see. It is free and good experience.
Amazing outdoor scupltures. Free access. Clean environment with a great view. A definite must see..
There's some good views, but it was much less than I expected. Not as many sculptures as I thought there'd be with a name like Olympic Sculpture Park.
It was a beautiful day at the Olympic Sculpture Park. The boardwalk near the water was a particularly lovely place to stroll and chat. It would be a terrific location for a picnic or for lounging with a book.
This is a wonderful location for a first date, a family outing, to get exercise, to chat with friends about art and life, or to just do some reflective thinking.
We're very lucky to have such a marvelous place in our community. Highly recommended.
My daughter got married here. The day was beautiful is was the end of August so it was such a nice ceremony to have out there on the waterfront there were lots of people walking by it’s right across street from Pike Place market and they were standing around listening to the sermon that was given at the time I just thought it was a beautiful a message. it’s a nice backdrop. It’s free. If you want to just pop up make sure that you bring your music.
One of my favorite places in Seattle! Makes for a great sunset. Can’t go wrong with OSP on a good day :)
TIP: At Olympic Sculpture Park, it's dog friendly as long as you keep your dogs on the leash and clean up after them. #localguides
Personally I didn't get it. The sculptures are fine, but they seem placed haphazardly around the space and I did not quite get what the theme was supposed to be.
Beautiful place with amazing view! Must see and enjoy the sunny days in Seattle over there :))
Beautiful walkable park by the water great for family, kids, elderly.
It's a nice park to stroll and relax. The park is by the water. You can have good views.
Not a huge concentration of sculptures but it has incredible views of the sound and a lot of trees and grassy spots to relax on the edge of downtown. And it’s super easy to talk to and walk around.
Always lovely views and easy walk
Very nice waterfront park with walking/bike path. Wear warm clothing, it could get cold and windy.
Beautiful views and sculptures are incredible. Gorgeous at sunset
Great park with interesting sculptures and beautiful views of the sound! I've been several times now and always really enjoy it. Many of the sculptures make good use of the space and encourage wider appreciation of the surrounding area. I also love the continuity of this park as a walking space with the waterfront headed toward downtown and well as Myrtle Edwards park in the other direction. This is definitely on my short list for Seattle activities, especially on a budget.
Nice outside garden of sculptures. Next time I would pack a lunch and hang out. It's on the waterfront with a lovely view
Such an underrated park! Right next to Belltown and lower Queen Anne and what a beautiful view for sunsets, walks, and admiring the beauty of the PNW.
Small park where people can walk among sculptures by different artists, but there aren't many. The interesting thing is that the walk takes you to the city's pier.
Kind of underwhelming. Needs some more landscaping care. There is a good restroom and you can fill up water bottles. Nice walk though from the market and back.
Nice place to jog early morning or evening.
A added bonus at the Park is countless views of the Needle. Being a Amateur photo snapper...I even recognize numerous opportunities to add to my portfolio.
Love it! Great combined view of railroad, grain ship and airplanes
Great free location to walk and admire the water and sculpture art. Highly recommend getting the bikes to ride down the path cause the sculptures are pretty far apart. Careful, kinda smells like fish lol.
A must see attraction near the space needle. I was awed by the beauty. My husband also raved about it although he was initially reluctant to go. I will definitely go again next time I’m in Seattle!
Good place to walk with amazing views and funky art sculptures.
Beautiful day walking. Lunch and the views made it a special day.
Loved this sculpture park. Location right on Puget Sound for views too. Impressive walk around.
Soft green grass, all different types of trees and plants and people doing all sorts of leisure activities. A great place to spread out, relax and get some fresh air!
Nice waterfront and sunset views. Good and well displayed art pieces. The park is clean, functional and relaxing.
It was really quiet and pretty relaxing to walk through. If you just wanna kill some time I'd recommend it.
Short trip here, but it's sweet! Sculptures are nice, and environment is amazing. We even saw some bunnies!
Beautiful Park with good roads for joggers and laned for cycling roller skating. Nice experience fountains.
It has a few sculptures but plenty of chairs to spend some time overlooking the pacific in peace.
Wonderful paths along puget sound with unique sculptures along the way.Dog and kid friendly.
Very cool park with awesome views and wonderful artwork.
Fun place to walk, see the water and some cool sculptures!!
Great sculptures and a good place to bring family and friends. Great view of the oceanic scenery.
You can get nice ideas by looking at .. these sculptures.. I enjoyed...you can play with your kids and pets restrooms are available...
A nice little stroll through some weird sculptures. My fav was the hidden &
Great relaxing view.
Was hoping there would be more sculptures, but some are hidden. It's cool, but not much to see. Good for a light walk or lunch walk.
Perfect spot to sit, relax, and watch the sun set. If it's a clear day, you get beautiful views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. If you're more interested in people than geography, keep your eyes nearer by; you may see an interesting assortment of folks making their way past your seat or sitting near you.
I did like the silver Tree.Humongus
I did not go inside inside but walked Ard the outside and viewed sculptures. Limited time maybe I'd of given more stars if I had more time.
Great place to sit and watch the sunset over the water. There are chairs and tables spread out over the grassy area at the top of the hill. Closes right after sunset though, so err on the side of getting there earlier rather than later.
We had a nice and quick stroll here... Free Street Parking on Veterans Day!
Two years in a row and I've loved both times. I'll definitely be back my next Seattle visit.
Loved the place!
The landscape of the park is amazing and the installed art sculptures are very beautiful. A very good place to observe the sunset.
Must visit!!
Nice place and view point to see sculpture and sea.
Gorgeous. Beautiful. Lush.
A gorgeous park next to the waterfront park in the city of Seattle you can see the wheel and the needle from the park
Awesome place to walk around. The sculptures are cool but the view of Puget Sound is better on the higher level. Great free thing to do during the day.
Love this place! Perfect to enjoy a sunny day in Seattle
One of my favorite places. On a clear day, beautiful views of the Olympics. Very easy to access and meets the beginning of the similarly-beautiful waterfront trail.
Nice place to enjoy watching sunset and walking with your dogs. I personally like standing at the tip where 2 parts of the park connecting :)
I love the Sculpture park. Not because of the Sculptures, they are mainly new age that frankly I don't get, but the views of the sound are AMAZING. This is particularly true on a clear day at sunset. Best of all, this is devoid of crowds and tourists that suffocate the piers.
Some interesting art to see, lots of open space for relaxing, great views over the water.
Beautiful views and lots of space to seat and get some air.
Awesome park/art exhibit hybrid
Amazing stroll along the sea wall with amazing views of the skyline and the sky needle! I would love to spend some more time here in the future
Very nice place, with art installions throughout your walk in the park.
Walk jog or read a book on the grass. Good sunset point.
As a resident who lives too close to this park, I can say it is the cleanest and safest park I have been to. Faces the west side so makes for one of the best sunsets of Seattle. Has small "beaches" which are real good. Amazing for walking your dogs or going for a stroll. Goes best with a Starbucks coffee. Cheers!
It's okay nothing special. The shade is a welcome relief on the path. Let's face it, it's a highway overpass with sculptures on it. I like modern sculptures kind of, not really. If you love modern sculpture then try it.
Just getting around to a review, but I've been to the sculpture park several times
I love the open layout and the amount of space. Good place to walk a dog or take kids.
Super easy going place. Cover your drink as some people next to us got bothered by the security guard for having drinks outside.
Killer view of the area, lovely walking trail. Definitely worth a visit.
Beautiful place to go for a walk, have a picnic, watch the sunset and enjoy some public art. Great views of Elliot Bay and the Olympic mountain range.
Very nice park. Suitable for chill out, running, and watching the seafront.
Great park and sunsets are magical from here
It's very nice and relaxing place to enjoy some art in a nature setting, FOR FREE! In June there's also ripe salmon berries on the bushes that you may try.
Great place to walk and see sculptures
Very nice and calm park for walking and sightseen.
Visited during sunset. It was overcast but the colors during sunset were nonetheless breathtaking. The sculptures on exhibit throughout the grounds were interesting and we enjoyed each one. Highly recommended!
Exceptional views and atmosphere, however we were actually kicked off of the grounds at one point by a park employee for playing hackey sack on the grounds that there are evidently "no ball play or sports" in the park, so, great location, subpar management and staff. However that shouldn't be too much of a problem, as we were there for hours across two days and this only occurred once.
Love coming here early in the day and also for sunsets! Beautiful views all around!
Hope for a clear day and you won't regret visiting this park. Get really good views of the Olympic mountains across the bay and if you turn towards the south, you can also see Mt Rainier standing tall.
Just a great place to walk the dog, sit and admire the view and enjoy a Seattle summer. Picnic opportunities for people or yoga on the grass all are welcome.
Not a ton of sculptures, but scenic with beautiful views of the Puget Sound and Olympics on a sunny day.
Amazing spot for locals and tourists alike. Views include mountain, water, and (of course) sculptures.
Picnic in the grass, walk on Puget Sound rocks, or bike the length of the park - you can't go wrong.
Nice little park along water but literally just 1 sculpture. More of a passing through kind of place. Lovely just the same and plenty of seating if you're needing a break from all the walking
So much to see around every corner. The City, Pier 70, Elliott Bay Park and more🏃 …
I love taking my dogs for a walk in this park!
Always a wonderful walk through the sculpture park.
Good place to relax after touring around city all day. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and train rail.
Great place to visit in city of Seattle Washington!
Great place to ride your bike or skate. The trail length is great. Sculptures are cool and view of the ocean is one of the best in the city.
A beautiful place to take a walk, breathe in the ocean (ok, Puget Sound) air & see some really cool sculptures! Win. Win. Win!
It’s a cute place to visit when the weather is nice.
Nice views of the bay and interesting art that both complements and contrasts the environment.
Great park for an evening summer stroll to check out the art and Elliot Bay. Lots of places to relax.
Great place. Too many statues in the way of the view. Still 5 stars
Excellent starting point for walking the Elliot Bay Trail. The times I've gone, on weekdays and weekends, there have been few people. You can sit and relax for a while with nice views of Elliot Bay.
Amazing sunsets.
This is such an awesome park. You get to sit on chairs and watch the sunset. Very clean and well maintained. Easy to access by bus, or a walk from downtown. It's got it all: views, art, just stunning!
Great place to walk your dog or have a stroll. Plenty of runners come through here. When Seattle weather isn’t being Seattle weather, the views across the water is great and the sunset is superb if you can catch it. There isn’t much to offer here other than a couple of art displays and some walkways but it’s still cool to check out once or twice if you’re visiting.
Great for hiking, biking or just waking.
Random art objects.
It's cool but when looking for a park to play I prefer a park that is kid friendly. Didn't really know there was nothing for a4 year old to do there until I was there.
Beautiful place to show guests with a view of Seattle, space needle, water... When open enjoy hot drink/snack and there are restrooms;)
One of the must visit place in Seattle downtown!
A lovely walk takes you past the sculptures. The sculpture range in style from representational to abstract.
This place is amazing for evening walk . Such good views of Puget sound. Also so near to downtown Seattle.if one has more than a weekend. Then definitely must enjoy the beautiful views at sunset
We went in the snow. I doubt we saw half the sculptures, but we liked the walk.
I always love coming here. Great place for a walk and a picnic if you continue north on the path for a bit
Nice senic park, I loved it
This area has some sculptures and is a nice place for ocean views. There's a nice garden area with sculptures. Below and across the train tracks is a walking path next to the bay.
If I had to choose one place in Seattle, this would be it. A major factor in where I'd rent, proximity to the park is a must. Love spending time here, watching water and sunset, walking around. Always so clean and peaceful.
I definitely took a friend here and they were my best friend. we did activities together then had a picknick together as well. what a time to have looking at the sculptures in the park with my good friend. I hope to make more friends so that I can take them here and we can have a good time as well.
Thank you
Nice little sculpture park by the water
If you would like a view of the Olympic Mountains and a gorgeous sunset, this is definitely a great place to go.
A lovely park to sit, relax and jog through. It’s right in the city, but feels very detached from the city chaos!
So cool atmosphere was very cool very nice sculptures well worth
A perfect place to stroll/roll on a dry day. Beautiful Puget Sound views and many interesting vistas and sculptures. The paths are level, hard packed, and covered with small pea sized stones. I was able to comfortably get around using a knee scooter. Nearby paved paths nearby run through parks along the waterfront.
great spot for a morning walk while enjoying a coffee from Bang Bang Cafe
This park was pretty and fun to walk through. I was surprised how far the trail went. It had very interesting sculptures. I would definitely come here again.
Beautiful trail along the lake and lots of interesting park installed on the park. There is a museum buding with restrooms and snack bar.
Lovely little oasis over looking the Sound with bits of modern sculpture to look at.
The sculpture park is in a beautiful spot along the water, with amazing views of the mountains and the city. The sculptures themselves were somewhat few and far between but there was a large red one that was pretty interesting. Great spot to walk around because of the location!
Very creative and recreative. It greatly inspires imagination on my visit.
Great open space park, can catch some nice views.
Beautiful clean park with some...interesting sculptures. The fountain isn't my favorite, but the giant Buddha-like head that seems elongated by sonar as well as many other installations are nice for a quiet, contemplative stroll along the waterfront. The small pebble-strewn beach is a cozy little cove that's great for skipping stoned if the water is ever calm enough. The smell of the sea is a wonderful compliment to the rose garden farther along the Eliot Bay trail, and the trail has been renovated and made safer and more accessible along the Eliot Bay waterfront.
We parked at the garage and had a great time walking down to Pike Place. Winding trail had neat sculptures all along it and provided a fantastic view of the bay.
Nice park with great views.
Cool view and nobody’s there, great place to unwind.
Great park for a stroll, or to sit on a bench on a sunny day.
Strolled through here during a morning walk that lead to the Space Needle. Not a bad a spot...some abstract sculptures and green space.
Very nice park right next to the waters of the puget
Smaller than I expected, but neat and clean with good views to the Lake.
I traveled Seattle during COVID. So the Seattle Center was closed.
This Olympic Sculpture Park near Pike Place Market was 2nd choice to visit.
I love the Echo.
Great collection of sculptures on a large sprawling parcel.
Lovely view of the waterfront and the space needle. Architecture and sculptures are eye-catching. Great place to walk and enjoy the scenery.
Beautiful waterfront park right in down town. A great place to relax and have a picnic or just take a stroll.
Wonderful place the take a quick hike and get lost in nature.
My favorite!!
Good for an afternoon-walk; during COVID-19 the sculpture was protected.
Park is awesome! And stepping back outside, filthy streets!
Plenty if shade, beautiful sculptures, views, green, and chairs for relaxing.
intresting place great views easy access and free
Beautiful stretch of park to walk around and there are plenty of chairs to sit and relax from while getting the water view. We had a beautiful breeze, shade and view so I just didn't want to leave!
Good park for short morning walk or jogging ! Connects to the Elliot Bay trail !
Fantastic outdoor gallery with views of waterfront and space needle. Bike and ped paths to myrtle Edwards park.
A great place to walk, or sit and watch the sunset as long as you don't mind crowds and dogs.
Great place to walk around. The terrain is made of small rocks, so wear comfortable shoes. You can easily walk to Myrtle Edward's park or walk to downtown.
Great near city park for a quick run or a walk.
My wife, two young sons (3 and 4), and I really enjoyed this park, and wished we had more time there. Plenty to see and explore, and wide open spaces to run with beautiful art interspersed throughout. We found some odd paths between exhibits, too, keep your eyes open!
Easy to get to if your strolling around pike place market and headed to the space needle. Nice little addition to the city to keep it interesting! The massive head is pretty cool.
Lovely park to walk, with a beautiful view and some cool sculptures.
urban oasis, a trail by the water filled with all types of art sculptures. Great for people watching.
Artistic and bold grass. Most people are actively running. Great place to walk over to the pier.
Great park to sit and enjoy some views of puget sound. However, there’s not a ton to look at in terms of sculptures. I was a little underwhelmed. I would recommend walking through the park and then following the path down by the water to the north for some great views and calm scenery.
Outdoor art museum. I had a really good time there :)
Cool installations. Nice area. Yay!
It’s an outdoor park that’s great to look at on a lovely day. However, there aren’t many sculptures and I found it a bit boring.
It's a great place to spend a lazy afternoon on a sunny day.. Cafe's and little eatery's will keep your thirst quenched and your stomach full..
Great for a quick walk through, but by virtue of its size, it's not really a destination per se. It's great added on to other activities in the area though! Very impressive to boot - an integral part of the SAM collection.
Good place to walk along water and park.
Take your time in this place take every Trail got Small hidden heart all over the place
Had a pleasant walk through the park. Everyone enjoyed it.
Not many sculptures, but a very nicely designed and clean park on the waterfront.
Beautiful park right on the ocean with sculptures surrounding you
During our visit we happened upon a fun, art-inspired mini golf event (a fundraiser) that was going on. Perhaps my attention was too focused on these unique creations that I failed to totally appreciate the actual, permanent installations that can be found there. But nonetheless, it's always nice to have some space in such an urban area dedicated to the arts. And the location / view down into Puget Sound is pretty spectacular in and of itself. Follow the art from the street level right down to the shore! My only reason for a "4 stars" is that perhaps I was expecting to see more actual pieces. While the park is spacious, it seems to me that there's just not as many sculptures at the park as I anticipated.
Great park with an spectacular view to Elliott Bay. Perfect place to relax and calm your busy mind.
Great place to take visitors especially when it's sunny. Take about half an hour to walk past all the sculptures and take them in.
Nice free park FULL of larger than life art and great views of the Sound.
Wonderful place to walk if you have some time. Free to wander through and the sculptures are very interesting. Don't miss the metal tree at the start.
Very great place to visit in the heart of Seattle. Has amazing artwork and great views of the water. Also great walking paths along the water.
Beautiful park, fantastic views, nearby to many wonderful establishments.
A great place to take a break, have a small picnic or take some photos. Calm, peaceful, quiet... oh and I guess also it’s free. I would have paid to enter the park if it wasn’t free. It’s a highlight for any vacation to Seattle.
Pretty Area for a Walk. Paved Walkways and Available Seating to take in the View.
Lovely quirky exhibition. Pocket beach was a great place to look out on the harbour.
