JP at BaseCamper provided one of the best customer experiences I've ever had throughout the entire process of renting, picking up, overlanding, and returning the vehicle. Such a nice guy, who clearly has a love for the outdoors, and wants to make these types of trips more accessible to people. Everything I needed to know about the vehicle was thoroughly communicated to me in advance of the trip, including a walk-through video that was quite helpful. When I returned the vehicle to him we chatted in his driveway for at least 30 minutes about my trip, and he genuinely wanted to know what he could do to improve things. He even offered to drop me off at the airport so I didn't have to get an Uber. "The Grey" is such a thoroughly put together build that I couldn't think of anything I wished I had on my trip upon further reflection. All I brought with me was clothing and food, and my trip was one of the most memorable experiences I've had in the outdoors. I took "The Grey" into the Uintas Mountains, and up some pretty gnarly trails that lead me to a beautiful summit shown in my attached pics. I'd have never been able to do this in a standard rental SUV. If you're looking for an adventure, I'd recommend Basecamper and JP to anyone. This was such a great trip, and that's a testament to the meticulously prepared operator behind it all. Thanks, JP! I'll be back for more!

The Rovrr1 Was an awesome rig and JP Provided a great experience. We took this camper through the white rim Trail in Canyonlands. The vehicle handled the rough terrain with no difficulty and the rooftop tent was a game changing experience for me as someone who does not get a good nights sleep usually while camping. The pad on the base of the tent was extremely comfortable.

One of my greatest experience so far. JP is an incredible nice guy and the truck was perfectly equipped for our over-landing/off-roading trip. JP has done a great job outfitting this truck, with a lot of attention to details and very useful gadgets. Highly recommend!

My husband and I rented the ROVRR for a 3 day trip to Zion National Park at the end of October and have nothing but great things to say about it! We had never stayed in a rooftop tent before but the on-boarding video we received prior to our trip detailed everything and eliminated any confusion & all of the extra little things JP included in the rental made it very comfortable! The ROVRR came equipped with everything you could need from all of your camp equipment/utensils to bear spray, soap, and even portable chargers & headlamps! The Garmin in reach mini was also a very nice touch for peace of mind while hiking. I was not expecting it to come with literally everything you’d need to camp/hike/adventure so it was a fantastic experience for us amateur campers. We were even able to fit additional water jugs, our suitcase, and a bag of food near the fridge - while still having some space in the back seat for bedding and additional belongings/gear we brought. Our past experience renting a camper van with a different company was very underwhelming compared to this. Also, heads up - the waterport can get extremely pressurized! We were doubting it for a second but then my dear husband opened the valve while standing in front of it... Needless to say, we got a great laugh and he had a wet shirt to keep him cool on our hike. JP was so kind and shared a bunch of knowledge about great places to adventure to in and around Utah. We’ll be back for sure and cannot recommend BaseCamper enough!

This was such an excellent experience! We flew into SLC and so we’re limited in what gear we could bring. JP had everything organized and ready for us. He was super helpful with explaining and even had videos to reference. The 4Runner set up was perfect for what we did/needed. Will definitely rent again when we make our way back to Utah! :)

Spent a few days travelling in and out of canyons/trails in the Green River area. Many places would not have been accessible without these capable vehicles. The navigation systems are preloaded with points of interest if you'd like to explore a detour - the owner did a great job of mapping routes. The offroading trail near Molly's Castle was unforgettable! Something I wouldn't have been able to experience otherwise. And truly, the only items you need to bring are food, clothes, and a sleeping bag. Everything else is included! Such an enjoyable and comfortable camping getaway. Will book again!

We rented The Gray through BaseCamper, and we absolutely loved it. We did a short trip down through Moab, the Valley of the Gods, and into New Mexico, and The Gray took care of us the whole way. All the amenities and equipment included with the vehicle are very high quality and designed to be an all-inclusive system. You can pretty much just pack a bag of clothes and food, and the vehicle has everything else. JP was a great host; he was in contact with us throughout the trip and was incredibly friendly and helpful. We absolutely will rent with BaseCamper again. It's worth all 5 stars and then some.

We took our family of 4 camping and BaseCamper was perfect for us. The vehicle was fully equipped with everything and more- all we needed to bring were clothes and food. We even took the vehicle off-roading and crawling, and it worked like a champ. Such a great and stress-free experience. We highly recommend renting from BaseCamper!

We had a great time traveling through Utah with this vehicle! It was equipped with everything we needed, and made us very self-sufficient: from sleeping comfortably to cooking easily and quickly, carrying all the food in the spacious fridge. We love camping at the primitive spots, and always had what we needed. When we had questions, JP always responded promptly. He’s an extremely nice guy, very helpful and friendly. Thanks!!!!

I cannot express just how great my experience was with JP and the vehicle I rented from him. JP is responsive and lovely to work with and has everything down to a science. We had all the gear we needed: stove, grill, camping chairs, portable toilet, water jug w/sprayer, and more. Oh, and the fridge! I don’t think I can ever camp without a fridge again! The roof tent was very easy to set up and take down and very comfortably fit me and my two daughters. Not only did we have all the gear we needed, JP helped us figure out an incredible itinerary. We loved every place he recommended! Having the capability to go off-road really opened up the possibilities of where we were able to go and to go to less crowded places, which I loved. The navigation system kept us on track and safe when we were off the grid. JP’s incredible set-up made it possible for us to have an incredible trip and frankly changed the way I will do camping forever. I will definitely be renting from him again!

I have to say for not liking camping and not being a tent camper, this is the way to do it. A comfy bottomed tent on top of your car. I loved how everything is included in the rental. Really, all you need is clothes and food. That’s it! I did have a great time off roading and then ending up somewhere new and setting up camp. I actually want to go camping again, if we have this ready to go 4Runner. We had a great time!

Used BaseCamper for a couple campouts last summer and the Rovrr’s were awesome! All the gear we needed was supplied with the rental, including an electric cooler for food storage. The iKamper unit was roomy enough for the three of us. BaseCamper was quick to respond and even had a few suggestions on where to camp and activities to do. Highly recommend renting from BaseCamper!

Spent 4 solid days in Utah's backcountry between Price and Moab in Rovrr. What a solid experience! J.P. has put a lot of thought and effort into equipping this vehicle with everything one might need to get off the beaten path. If you want to get a different Utah experience, one that will have you smiling from ear to ear, this is a solid choice for you.

Took the basecamper to the west desert. Spent the weekend looking at the stars! Love the experience and convenience of all the gear being available to use! Can't wait for our next trip!!
