I will start off as I have been trying for the last two summers to get a tent site here and my lack of planning last year mid winter is the cause for me not getting a site. This place is beautiful and a fishermans heaven if you like fishing and camping but I recommend booking mid winter as it reservations fill by spring for the summer. The lower tent sites I prefer as some of the reviews mention the seasonal RV campers complaining about their fires and late night conversation/partying at the upper tent sites which you don't have to deal with at the lower sites. The upper tent sites you have no tree cover and are in direct sunlight and exposed to the wind which could be nice in the hot summer nights but not in the day. The parking at the upper sites is a little more distant from the tent area as you cannot park near your tent but in designated areas on the upper and lower sites. The lower sites you can park right in front of the camping area which allows for closer access to your vehicle so you are not lugging gear like a mule and also plenty of tree cover to protect from sun and rain and more privacy, also porta pottys right out front and close to the main gate and dumpsters although a little walk to the pavillion and showers. Overall a beautiful place to camp and the fishing pier is great to catch Striped Bass, Flounder, Scup and Occasional Tautog during the right seasons/times. I had a blast here and will definately be back again!

What an wonderful park full of amazing views, imposing stone walls, old artillery, wildlife and an all around beautiful place to go for a walk and explore.

Wonderful location and view next to the bay. Town run so reasonable pricing the Pavilion is large 100 people (pre Covid) not a problem. Has roll down sides if the weather becomes inclement.

Nice big open field. There are two very small trail that the lighthouse can be seen from. There is a big shelter. Great place for picnic. There is also two restrooms. It is close during winter.

This was a perfect venue for a pre-wedding rehearsal dinner. Pavilion was perfect even when it rained a bit. It was a beautiful canvas for fresh flowers, table runners and a buffet of delicious foods. The absolute best was best able to go out to the beach area for pictures and to witness an amazing sunset 🌇. Convenient, plenty of parking... great venue!

Love the place. Fun quiet at night. But the only down fall are the ticks my sister brought home with her. It was on her and our dog. Camp site should be treated to prevent these issues.

Great place to camp .. Visitors must pay $20/car. First restroom is atrocious ... one near end okay but no shower privacy due to having to hang everything outside of shower area. Also no sewer hookups .. $20 per pumpout unless you have portable container. Beautiful views and fishing.

GREAT RV campground on the southern tip of Conanicut Island (Jamestown). People go all out in setting up their mobile palaces for a period of time. Seems to be a lot of comradery there. Lovely views, lovely Rhode Island!

This is one of RI best places. The Views are all stunning, edge near water the waves gently relax you. You feel Whole. The Waves God's Gift To The Lucky Who get to any coast in the USA. Jamestown Island is a Great Place To Experience. Most never get to see any coast lines,especially Islands. Such a Beautiful Place on this Our Earth😀

Great location and views. Awesome place to launch kayaks, paddle board or sail. There's an rv community there over the summer that kind of cheapens it and takes away some of the nice views. At $20/day it's also a bit pricey if you just want to launch a boat or fish.

The staff are really really nice and helpful to do everything they could to help! but everything is disorganized and chaotic but on their tent sites reservations system, was told that they were mostly full but there might be a few sites left but ended up getting a site and there was one other site taken. The lower campsites are shady but you have to walk from your car to most of the sites about 50 ft and most of the fire rings don’t have grates. The upper sites looked kinda at the water kinda at the rvs but were very sunny. No bathrooms at the lower sites except clean porta potties, there was a small dirty bathhouse halfway between

We really lucked out in both finding this place and getting a last minute spot! The location is a peninsula with beautifully groomed lawn, spacious and incredible views of the ocean. Very quiet and serene, Jamestown had great little stores and restaurants. We cycle and will definitely come back to ride the Island for sure. The dump site is at the entrance and a bit of a walk or slow drive if your dumping via a portable dump tank. There is a pier where you can fish and relax. Bring a 50 foot power cord, depending on the site we barely made it with our 25 foot cord, same goes with your fresh water hose.
