Reviews of Jones Creek Campground
I grew up going here and it hasn't changed much, it's a really nice campground. There are different types of sites so you can kind of choose what your experience will be (some are more private, some are larger, some are walk-in). There are a few good swimming areas along the river, but it gets super crowded on hot weekends which is a bummer but is expected these days.
There's a trail that goes from the campground and follows the river downstream for a long time. It's a really nice trail that I've walked dozens of times and leads to bridges, more swimming areas, all sorts of nature. The trail is currently closed off at the C loop entrance, but there's a sign with a map showing a way to go around.
Only had one issue the last time I went which was that they don't sell firewood on certain days (wed-thu I think it was). Seems a little strange not to sell wood on Thursdays but I just drove down the road a mile to get some from the store which had better wood anyway.
What a beautiful park! Clean and spacious! I'd love to go camping here when it opens back up. My family and I had a good time!
Love this place , fits my 33' triple slide camper, only a handful of sites large enough for my camper, no hook ups, no cell signal, it's nice. I will try and share a 360° picture of our site..
Great place to camp. Had a blast and friendly people
Stayed at one of the paid sites, quite and beautiful. $5 per car, per night. Rangers stopped in daily and were super friendly. Fire pit, with grate and nice flat spots for tents.
Great place to camp we camped in slot c1 and it felt like we were all alone . It was a quick walk to the bathrooms which were maintained well (as could be) and stocked with tp . I would definitely go back .
The Jones creek trail reroute is quite pretty but the trail is still closed before you get to Wilson Falls. It's quite a nice hike.
If you like the outdoors you will love this place, great place for camping and hunting opportunities.
A little dirty since the port-a-poty haven't been cleaned all year by the look's of them
No cell service, no other people for miles, a little scary… AWESOME.
We stayed up the Camp Creek road, in spot #1. What a fantastic campsite. The river is such a short, beautiful walk from the site we stayed at. Sites are very large, and ours had room for 5-6 tents AND our RV, with plenty of room to spare.
The river nearby is great for kids, it runs slow and is a nice change from shallow to deep.
Definitely glad we found this place!
A nice place for my first time boondocking.
best camping site
Beautiful campground. Every designated area is well thought. All walk-in sites. With our without a car, even dispersed spots. Beautiful creek, the forest is just amazing. Nights are quiet. The water is a wonderful hydrating potion! Enjoy! My only complaint is that you can hear the highway. Go to a dispersed campsite if you have a SUV, you won't hear a thing!
This beautiful campground in the Tillamook State Forest is walking distance from a river where you can enjoy a nice swim, it isn't too far for an outing to the beach while you're on a mini vacation, and best of all there is no cell service in the forest so you can truly enjoy the beauty of nature all around.
One of my all time faves for camping. Right on the Wilson river, plenty of clean restrooms, and a friendly camp host that keeps the loud partiers out. Short walk down a pretty trail to the Tillamook forestry center (but far enough you wouldn't know it was there) which is both fun for kids and interesting for adults. In the early mornings the campground grasses are covered in bunnies out for breakfast. The only downside is lack of a close place to get ice, etc so plan ahead. There used to be a tiny store a couple miles away, but it shut down and now you have to go into Tillamook.
Was there this weekend. Nice nature getaway with creek and clean running water. Campsites are well kept
Lovely little campground with easy river access. $20 cash or check per night for cars or $15 for walk in sites. Be sure to visit an ATM as the nearest one is a long drive from here!
I went camping here once and i come here often for fishing, swimming, and picnics. If you want to go camping it's a great place, only problem is the bath rooms, we had to dig a pit 0-0. Also if you just want to come for a day of fun the entrance to the camp is where the Wilson river flows by, so you can swim and fish in the river but it gets packed in the summer . If your a fisherman like me, there is a lot of deep pools where the salmon, steelhead and cutthroat trout hang out so try some fishing if you want. I caught a nice steelhead and a ton of cuttruat trout there. Then there is also a trail to the Tillamook Forest Center just a short walk or drive down.
The camp grounds where closed but the day use area was open. Many spots near the creek with branches and fire pits. Fun for the whole family!!
A cute little trail down to the creek
Each camp is secluded from other camps and there's bathrooms and a water pump. There's is a river nearby where you can swim and have fun.
Very nice campground next to a beautiful clear River. One of our favorite camping spots.
Great Camp ground better hosts! Thank you DJ and mom. Family enjoyed tent site and playing in the river.
Beautiful campground and you can walk to the Tillamook Forest Center.
