We didn’t know that Liberty Wildlife would be at Veteran’s Oasis Park on the day we visited. The group had Richie the Paragon Falcon and an gorgeous Great Horn Owl. We loved being able to see the birds up close and personal. The Visitor Center was open with their critters on display as well. There was also a beginner’s fishing class. We discovered much more about this park. There are good walking trails, ponds with lots of different birds and a lake you can fish in. If you want to picnic, there are areas for you to do that. Before leaving, take a stroll through the Memorial Park. You won’t be disappointed. If you’re there at sunset, you will see the display illuminated.

Beautiful park to go for a walk as they have a nice paved path around the stocked pond. There isalso a bunch of dirt trails and paths around, and throughout, the park that are quiet and you can see some wildlife. Great place for family photos too.

A beautiful park to enjoy walking around in. Beautiful Lake with little waterfalls, lots of ducks, and beautiful Memorial to our Veterans! Nice play area for the children too! Lots of walking trails. We even saw a couple getting Wedding pictures taken by the Lake.

This park is well-maintained and very beautiful. I will recommend you take some food, (do a little picnic as they have ramadas) or you can go for a walk, jog, run, and bike. You can go fishing as well. Make sure to keep the park neat and clean!

This park has a beautiful lake where you can fish, picnic areas, walking trails around the lake and extended dirt walking trails. The dirt walking trails goes through secluded areas, wildlife habitat and nice scenery. The dirt walking trails takes you to a hill from where you can watch the sunsetting behind the mountains, see attached pictures, there is a bench and binoculars on the hill as well. Two sides of this park is surrounded by residential areas and other two sides arr roads. You can easily spend few hours hiking and enjoying the lake. Restrooms are inside the main building.

Big park, plenty of parking, fishing, walking trails, even little bunnies running around. Must have seen at least 7 of them within a few minutes. Park also has informational wooden placard about several planets. Pretty cool!!

Really nice park. My first time visiting for a project I was doing in my environmental studies class through ASU. The woman at the educational center was very friendly and informative. Got to play around with my camera and got some fun pictures of all the biodiversity there! It was pretty hot so I didn't stay long, but I would definitely go back.

This is a great spot! Trails consist of paved and gravel so it caters to all abilities. Lots of native plants, cactus and trees to enjoy. There are a couple bubbling streams to sit and relax by with several lakes with lots of wildlife. Picnic tables are available for picnics. The Nature Center had fun things to look at and learn about and the bathroom is nice and clean. Make sure to view the airplane in Veterans Park along with the plaques of people from the Chandler area who served in the war. It's worth the time to visit!

Bike friendly and geochache laden (7): a great combination. The lake and greenery alone, ahhh. Some shade if you need it. The waterfall, Solar System Walk, and amenities, and HEY the "field of honor" lights up at dusk!!

In my opinion this is the best city “nature park” in the whole valley. It has miles of wide well groomed equestrian trails that all loop together so it is perfect for mountain biking and OneWheeling day after day.

Where do I start? This place is an absolute beauty! From entrance to exit, there is an endless stream of something beautiful to look at. Whether you want to hike up a small hill and see all of chandler, or just sit and enjoy the ducks, I can guarantee you will enjoy this park! Highly recommend!

There's a large pond full of large fish you can see along with many birds, to the east is many dirt paths where you can take in the native plants and wildlife. I even saw a coyote! Overall beautiful park, I will be back!

Veterans Oasis Park offers beautiful scenery, nice walking paths around the pond along with lots of wildlife. Along with the natural scenery, they also honor our veterans from all the armed forces! I highly recommend Veterans Oasis Park for a semi-tranquil trail walk. This site offers plenty of benches, beautiful lake views, alongside is photography worthy. The only disadvantage pertaining to this park is the traffic. Sometimes, this park is a little too busy which hinders the tranquil atmosphere. To elaborate, many people fish here. Wanna distance from the fishermen? Then, a calm, lengthy trail walk is ideal! Also, be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as this site includes dirt, mud, and lizards.

Beautiful park. You'll see a lot of wildlife (turtles, fish, rabbits, cats, lizards, birds etc). There's a lake and small waterfall/streams that a lot of people take wedding photos/prom photos at. There's a lot of walking paths to explore. There are no steep inclines or obstacles

It was a beautiful day lots of people out adventuring even caught a little boat in the lake. Not very packed but looked like a birthday party was showing up when I was leaving. Great place to go hang out enjoy the wild life and have a good time with family. Take some pictures have a picnic. Enjoy the aerial pictures

UPDATED NOV 3: This community park is STILL so well-managed and focused on the visitor experience. My wife and I wanted to treat our pup to a fun, stimulating walk and Veterans Oasis Park is the perfect place for that, with people fishing all around the huge lake, children, other dogs, wildlife, etc. We were not expecting what should have been expected - given the name of the park - a tribute to Chandler's residents who served our country from as recently as a few years ago to as far back as World War 1. The walking path was lined with poster-sized mini billboards with images, histories and names of many, many of our former military. Heart-warming and such a great tribute. Very impressive. And if you find my review early enough I encourage you to drive out and walk the path and experience this tribute personally. One of our fav go-to places to walk and bring the dog when we're in-state for the winter months. The education center is neat and interesting. Always lots of cotton-tail rabbits, black-tailed jack rabbits, numerous bird species and plenty of geese and ducks.

The main part of the park isn't much different than other parks in the area, but even when this area is busy, within a few minutes of walking on the trails you feel as if you are really out and away from everything. The ponds are beautiful and attract many different water birds, and the trails don't feel crowded. My wife and I go here often when we don't have time to drive further out for a hike.

It’s very beneficial to utilize this park just 5 minutes away from my house. We barely got here to have a walk & running every day and extremely enjoyed the nature-oriented wildlife. While walking, you can see all aspects of green and exhibits, great amounts of wide birds and group of rabbits. All facilities here are user-friendly and thoughtful thoughts. We never saw a public park like this scale and well-organized. Totally relaxing and comfortable.

Clean quick paved walk around a beautiful man made lake. Filled with reclaimed water. Great for bird watching, fishing, and relaxing. There are additional unpaved trails throughout. It also has a really cool water feature. Saved this spot on my google maps. Has bathrooms, plenty of picnic tables, benches, and a couple of pavilions.

Veterans Oasis Park is an awesome little park to see in the middle of town and still feel like your out in nature. We found a lot of families with small children walking along the bank of the lake discovering local wildlife and you can see the fish around the edges of the lake. They have archery in designated areas, fishing that includes large mouth Bass, Sun Fish, Catfish Trout and a couple others in the lake. It's not anywhere nice as truly being out in nature on your own but it's only a 10 minute drive for parts of Gilbert and Chandler and it's safe for small children if you watch them. They allow dogs on a leash and provide bags for waste. This was just the what I needed to get grounded and hear the sounds of nature. Check it out and leave a comment on what you thought about it.

Great place to walk or stroll around the lake for a calming exercise. Clean areas to picnic. Picnic areas have tables to sit at scattered throughout the park. There is public fishing where you can fish for several different species of fish as long as you have a fishing license. On site there are public restrooms near the environmental building at the entrance of the park. We arrived early evening and even as it progressed into dark, people were still fishing. I am unaware of the closing and opening time for the park at this time. There were a variety of persons at the park, both young and old who appeared to come there often and enjoy the outdoor environment. It was a bit of a drive to get there but it was a relaxing evening getaway spot for the evening.

Veterans Oasis is one of our family favorite parks! It has a paved trail around a lake as well as unpaved options around the rest of the park. The Field of Honor is spectacular!

This park is beautiful and has great easier trails to walk and view Arizona wildlife. It has quickly become a place I frequent with my family and dog to get outside. This is a fantastic place to view a variety of wildlife including a lot of bird species. Check with the visitor center for activities and events that will occur as well as an inside animal viewing. There is a small shop with local brands and locally appropriate books. We love this clean and beautiful park.

This is a very nice park. We got there pretty late in the day, just in time for the sunset. Nice natural environment, wide paved walkways. Plenty of parking, but I could see it getting crowded (we were there on a Thursday). Would certainly go back again. The only problem was that SOOO many dog owners don't pick up after their dog. Ready for some fresh air, but there were places where that was all you could smell. Wanting to look at the gorgeous view but you had to watch every step you took. What a shame.

We love this place, the kids like to feed the ducks and have a picnic by the water. The park offers a large walk path/trail to enjoy. Really beautiful scenery & waterfall. Benches throughout the park to sit & rest or for enjoyment of the scenery. Not a lot of tree shade throughout the trail so hats/umbrellas would be ideal and sunscreen might come in handy too, specially for hot summer days. Catch & release on lake is available at this place. Paths are pretty smooth.

I love this park. It’s incredibly soothing to walk the long nature corridors. There’s plenty of animal sightings. I take my dogs here, but watch out for the cacti. It’s always a great time at Veterans oasis. My only suggestion is more garbage clean-up.

This park is really unique. It offers waking/hiking paths, fishing, covered patios, bird watching and really awesome photo opportunities. There is a really nice waterfall installation. During the cooler months they stock catfish and trout.

Thursday night concert in the park. Every 3rd thursday of each month. nice relaxing setting and great music from local bands 10/20/22- first concert of 2022 series. Great night for it as the weather has finally started cooling off in the evenings and at night.

Beautiful place. There are trails a little stream. I must say though the lake is not bumping with fish. For being stocked there is hardly any. Maybe it’s over fished but when talking to other anglers it’s seems under stocked.

Lovely park with many trails and features. You could walk for hours and not get bored. Pokestop galore and 3 gyms will keep you entertained. Or you could just enjoy the abundant desert wildlife. Plenty of sitting areas. Live entertainment Thursday evenings and variety of other events.

Beautiful park! There's a paved walk and a longer dirt path. The dirt path can get pretty dusty if you go with children who like to run around. We also saw a lot of rabbits while we were out which the kids all loved!

A decent relaxing family friendly area in Chandler. This park provides for some community fishing, has shelter/ bench areas. There's one main lake. I visited to see how this location was for birding and photography. The area provides decent backdrops for portrait photography, but is not great for birders or wildlife Photography. I went both away night and day for comparison. You may catch a few burrowing owls per signage, and of course bunnies and squirrels, at night some wild hare, and a small variety of birds throughout the day, but not like other locations. I didn't feel secure in the area after dark in the area with the open desert and grassy foliage. The area proves for great sunset shots and of the San Tan Mountains.

found this gem a year ago. always drove by and wondered what veterans was, so I finally stopped to check it out. at first I thought it was just the ponds and the water fall, but was so much more than that! you could spend the half the day maybe the whole day walking the entire park! it's so beautiful, relaxing, lots of wildlife around you. what I like the most is they have orange and grapefuit trees that you can pick from! love the atmosphere and vibes this park gives off❤

I LOVE this park! The lake is the perfect size, and everything is so clean and up kept! There's a stream with water fall leading to the lake. Go in the evening and enjoy the enchanting Field of Honor. Not sure the whole story behind it, but it's a tribute to the military branches. There's amazing glowing structures and a cool retired Air Force jet on display.

Sanctuary. Complete with a trickling stream, a lake stocked with fish, miles of multiple looping paths, beautifully full of a wide range of local vegetation, and a home to wildlife and more rabbits than one can count. There is an astronomy exhibit around the lake that serves as a reminder to gaze upon the heavens and the stars once in a while. Here, you'll find children at play, families out for a stroll, fishers casting lines from the banks, and sometimes veterans walking silently and alone clearing their hearts and minds knowing their suffering was worth it because such a place as this exists. The veteran's memorial is very well done. It's a great place reflect and appreciate the sacrifices of so many, especially on memorial day. The oasis truly lives up to its name. I am beyond grateful for such a peaceful sanctuary. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Well kept, with a lot of urban nature. Shaded, well planned spaces. Swans, cranes, this guy. I threw him back, but if you see him again, tell him that hook's not his, just because it stayed with him.

This is a nice place to go for a walk, jog, or run. I went on a Sunday and there were quite a few people. There are three different trails with the shortest being 0.5 miles, and the longest being somewhere around 1.6 miles. Overall, its not a terrifible place but it is a bit crowded.

We enjoyed this park very much. It was a great trail to take our doggies on. We liked how you could break off and go to different preserves. It was nicely kept and there were lots of people but it didn’t feel crowded.

Beautiful Park! Good sized body of water for the birds, for breezes to form and to walk around. It has multiple paved foot paths and unpaved paths of varying distances. Picnic areas with tables. Benches for us geezers to let the arthritis calm down, wonderful native plants everywhere and most important (to me, anyway) shade trees 🌳 lots of shade trees to escape the sun's heat in the summer. Saw the rest rooms but didn't go inside. It's on my list of favorites.

This place is amazing. The hiking path is moderate. You can choose from .5 , 1 or 1.6 miles. Perfect if you have children or dogs and not really into long hikes. You can fish and the lake and the view is beautiful

This place is HUGE! I walked my dog here for a couple hours and we could have gone for longer and seen more. There’s lots of rabbits and jackrabbits to see here. A lot of people fish here since they stock the lake. There’s a lot of picnic tables. It’s really pretty and well maintained.

Water oasis for fishing; the grounds are well kept and there is ample parking. I was there on a Thursday evening for a free concert in the park. Nice/small neighborhood crowd — a mix of families with small children, seniors, and couples.

It is a lovely park and locals are very fortunate to have it. There are miles of paths around the basins, and lots of walkers and folks with dogs. It would be nicer if there were dog watering spots. I would also like to have a few more spots along the lakes where there are breaks in the brushy trees so birders and photographers could view the lake for birds.

I found this park very relaxing, it has a lake with lots of different types of ducks, a huge jack rabbit I caught a glimpse of, some people are fishing, some are just taking a walk around , lots of people walking their pups, or just enjoying the nature and watching the lake and surrounding area. It is easy to find of of Chandler Heights and about 5 minutes from home . Great for family with kids or elderly people. Very peaceful and lovely to walk around.

Love this park, it has amazing views and it's a great place to see some wild life. Have to give 3 stars however as they have a real problem with people not picking up after their pets. On one walk around I counted 10+ piles. They really need more pet waste stations.

This is a great park with lots of trails of various lengths and difficulty levels. Very clean, and not overcrowded. My only complaint is that there aren't very many tress along the paths, which lends no shady areas for rest. As the temperature goes up I'm less likely to want to visit this location.

There is a small lake and trails around it. It is next to a police building. It has places honoring Vets which is cool and a little history. We were visiting so it seemed to be a nice park to take a walk or walk your dog but not is you wanted to see mountains for example.

Bring light tackle for the fishing. Trout are in there, but safe from my fishing poles. Go far out to catch in the morning is what I saw for those that did the catching and not the fishing, like myself. There is a long geochache course. Second lake I don't know much about. Birds, birds, birds and a small museum with some more about birds. It has classes and birthday parties and more to come. Ramadas are nice. Bathrooms in the museum. Great place to walk. Lots of dogs there. Much slower during the week.

Beautiful park! I’m a photographer and LOVE this place due to the variety of landscapes! Lots of pretty trails, fun water area where you can see ducks and lots of different birds, as well as an incredible janitorial staff! The first time I came I lost my wallet in the bathroom. We turned around in our car after realizing this and the janitor had kept it for us. We offered him a $100 in it, but he refused. I’ve always loved this park!

Beautiful spot for a photo shoot. The little waterfall is quite popular, so come at a less busy time to get a chance to take a picture. There are some quieter spots with fewer people, including a second waterfall. That one isn't always on however, meaning it doesn't always run, it's dry. We saw lots of rabbits on the grass and our kids were able to see them up fairly close.

Very nice little nature park. The waterfall had lovely little flowers and greenery right near it. The rest was very deserty. The highlight for us was going off on one of the dirt trails where a beautiful coyote walked across our area, about 20-30 ft from us! He took a nice long time walking past so we got a great look at him (he was looking at us too!)! This was my 8 yr olds first time seeing one so it was super exciting.

This place is amazing! Absolutely beautiful and the wildlife is fantastic. Went for a date there and I have no regrets I got a great spot by the lake and got to eat and chat away for hours while I was there. This place has great wildlife I saw lots of wild rabbits, a crane and lots of birds I identified by a wildlife book. If you really like animals this is a great place! Also you CAN fish here which seems like it would be fun so I'll definitely try that. But otherwise no swimming/kayaking in the lake. Trails are nice and good exercise and most the plaques have some good info to learn.

It's the perfect place for beginners to try a short hike or the perfect dog walk. There is a variety of local flora and fauna for all. Fishing is popular with a well stocked fishing area. The visitors center is awesome as well. Bathroom are clean and abundant.

This was our first time here and it was a great place to take our dog! We went around 8:30am and got a little halfway through the trail before coming face to face with a coyote the size of a wolf. I was born and raised in AZ and in my 29 years of life I have never seen one this big. It didn’t seem frightened at all around us and didn’t move away until we slowly turned the other direction. Overall it was a great experience, but just be careful of the wildlife. After all, we are in their backyard!

Wow! I'm in love with this park. Right from the parking lot which is so neat and spacious down to the trails, this park is immaculately clean and so aesthetically pleasing. Walking into the park, you are greeted with small gates with cute desert symbol engravings. Then, you can either go on the dirt path or take the concrete trail around the lake. It was very calm. Along the way, there's plenty of shade from trees and benches to rest at. As you walk along the lake, there's one part where the trail goes uphill (you will hear water gurgling, preceding the small waterfall). If you go uphill on the sand path- not steep and like two minute climb- you will see the source of the waterfall and a babbling brook. So cute! The waterfall itself too was very cool- it's small but beautiful. Will definitely have to come back. :) Edit: If you take the "orienteering" side paths that stray away from the lake, there are no signs... I got lost lol! They can be confusing. Also, note: after a rain, this area gets lots of mosquitos.

I thoroughly thoroughly enjoy this beautiful park. I've been coming here for years and it only gets more beautiful. We went this past Sunday morning. It was myself, my wife, son and our dog. It was impromptu because the weather was just so amazing. When we arrived we checked out the lake/pond that is fully stocked with fish. My son was in awe. Then we walked on the nature trails for about an hour and a half and enjoyed all the wilderness and wild life. Just so amazing!! This is a very easy hike/walk so I'd say it's appropriate for almost all walks of life. Additionally they do a lot for kids here at their guest center located in the front of the park. They do wilderness and planet educational courses and even have camps throughout the year. If you are in the neighborhood, check this place out.

Great place to walk with the dogs. Both paved and unpaved trails with the outside loop being long enough to get in needed steps without too many laps. Wonderfully maintained. Parking is ample even when busy. You can also bike on the outside trails as they're pretty wide.

This was the first time I visited the park. The views are very relaxing. Inside the building where the washroom are is clean informative. Washrooms are convenient and clean. The ladies that were working at the desk inside were not so welcoming no hello or a hi or any kind of greeting. I didnt give the rating a 4 star because of that. It could use a bit more seating around the lake and or tables for families to sit at around the water. Basically picnic area's. Other than that I enjoyed the peacefulness there.

Been jogging around here several times now on the trails behind the main fishing lake and makes for a nice 1.5 mile or so trail loop. Great area for walking with the family and see tons of bunnies throughout. Have not tried to fish but good to get out of the house and walk around.

Beautiful park. Ducks, turtles, fishing, nice long walks. You can take a long walk around the lake. On your walk you may see some wildlife. Bring your doggie with you, too. The waterfall is so gorgeous. Walk to the top of it and enjoy a beautiful view. There are benches near by, so one can sit and meditate...contemplate...or just enjoy. It is very serene. Bring your children and your fishing pole. The fishing is great. You are almost certain to catch a fish or two. A wonderful spot to simply enjoy nature.

I dig this park. It's super clean and no signs of bums in sight. It's far if you love north of the 60 but it's got great fishing ponds and the walks are nice. My family enjoyed looking through the free exhibits, riding bikes and the wildlife.

Saw this park on a hiking app and figured it was close so why not check it out. Went on a Saturday to walk around the lake and out further on the trails. Lake was dirty with trash floating near the shore. The rest of the "natural" lakes were pretty much dried up. The little running river was cool to see. Located on the east side of main lake. Also came across a coyote while walking the other trails in the park.

An actual fishing lake abounding in waterbirds sets this park above most, though yes of course you need a license to fish. There's a nice playground, along with covered picnic areas, mostly level walking trails, a (not-very-high) scenic viewpoint, and includes several interesting exhibits in the main building. It's also multifunctional: it returns treated wastewater (from the airport, as I understand) into five large, shallow reservoirs where it is allowed to sink slowly into the ground to replenish the aquifer. Only one had water in it when we visited.

Great place for a nature "hike" with little kids and a double stroller. I loved how it wasn't all level ground, there are hills, lakes, and nature to explore so it feels like a little hike in the desert. The kids loved it, ages 2-8 years.

This is a fabulous park. The fishing lake offers many spots to drop a line. A grassy area surrounding the park provided ample room for a picnic. The hiking trails are about a mile long and wrap around the lake and nearby riparian habitat. They have an educational building offering classes. Literally the high point is a tall sandy hill. And for you muggles, don't be surprised to see geocachers searching for hidden caches. I rate this park a 5.

We love having this place so nearby! It's fantastic for taking the family, dog included, on walks. Plenty of plants and animals to see. We've taken Cub Scout groups here for hikes and presentations, just an easy call to set it up. The restroom facilities are usually nice and clean. If I had any complaints , it would be that I wish the trails were marked and mapped a little better.

One of my favorite places to go and enjoy, so many trails and so much land, it never gets boring. It always feels safe and peaceful there. There are telescopes at the top of the one of the hills to get a closer look at the San Tan mountains. There's also plenty of shade structures as well as benches under shade trees for when I bring a good book with me to read and want to just sit for awhile. If you live in the east valley and you haven't been here yet, you are missing out. Oh, and my dog loves it too! :)

Pretty park. Wouldnt want to be there heat of the day, not much shaded areas. The paths are a little confusing and the trail makers arnt very clear at times. But it's a nice place to take a stroll. Pretty flat, unpaved but stroller/wheelchair, kid and pet friendly. You can also fish for keeps at their little pond area with a license.

Absolutely worth your time...time for a recharge of positive energy! I love the outdoors, and this park, not far from city lights and traffic is strategically hidden for the enrichment of wildlife. A natural, well cared for habitat that supports birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. What a sanctuary! Plus it has Arizona Game and Fish, Community Fishing Water. Love, love, love.

I love Veterans Oasis Park. It's a beautiful place to walk, with many paths. The waterfall is an extra special feature. The education center is great.

this is a great place to take the family and go for a walk or hike. the park has a 1/2 mile loop around the lake as well as some trails off to the east and north. trails are pretty easy and friendly for adults, kids and pets.. there are some water features for the pups to cool off in during warmer months. Watch out for the Mosquitoes during the rainy period. Make sure you take plenty of water if you plan to go away from the lake.. Plenty of covered areas, picnic tables, and even some BBQs for you to use.. The Lake is stocked by the city and there are always some folks spending a relaxing time fishing.

Really cool place to walk the dogs. The park is a lot bigger than you might give it credit for. The are rare species, an orchard, community garden, and even several lakes for fishing. The water fountains are a bit spread out so it is worth taking some with you especially in the summer.

This park has a fresh water lake with a paved sidewalk wrapping around, and gravel trails winding through the hills where horseback riding is allowed. The waterfall is a great backdrop for photos. Tons of wildlife to watch for, including ducks, birds, fish, bunnies and coyotes. Go inside for info on nature classes, activities for kids, a trail map, and live music dates.

This will be a nice spot. Went to go take some pictures and found out all the grass was being torn up to redo I believe. People need to be more polite and respectful though. We were taken pictures at the waterfall and these donkeys (two couples) moved our camera bags and stands while I was taking photos. Then they bumped into me. Seriously!

Great park, around some very nice lakes. The trails are everywhere, easy to walk or even bike around. The park is very dog friendly too! Several tables and ramadas available (even restrooms). Must visit if you are in the area.

Great suburban nature park with a small lake. Numerous bird species and lake is stocked with fish to catch and keep; fishing license required. Also includes a small nature center with classrooms and a little store. Well worth a visit.

This is a great park for those that like to hike, fish, kayak, or observe wildlife. They have several retention basins that attract lots of different birds and they stock the main lake regularly with fish. Also, the hill near the main lake is the highest point in Chandler and there is an artificial river with a waterfall that is a favorite spot for family photos. This park does not have a play structure for kids because it is designed for people to enjoy nature so take your kids for a hike and create some memories.

Great place to walk, jog or ride a bike with the family. Can be short or long if you do multiple laps. Various trails to choose from. Lots of people fishing as well and lots or rabbits on the trails.

This park is great. There are numerous trails and variations of paths which make walking through here neverending and fun. The park is pet friendly, but I recommend bringing water for the furry ones. depending on the trail water fountains are limited. There is a small fishing hole and there is a skywalk you can do representative of the actual solar system. Great place overall and the environment is great.

Excellent family friendly place looking for a gentle stroll. Though, there are some dirt trails in the back that offer incline and decline hiking/walks. I prefer to call the lake a "contemplation pond" with ample opportunity to sit and look across the water..well you get it. Fishing is avalable as well, taking a youngster out for there first fish seems.to be a popular one.🤠🎣. There is also a side walk that wraps around the pond and is thoughtfully sprinkled with plaques of information about planets, stars, and celestial facts about the Universe 🚀. There is covered picnic area as well stand up barbecues that are BYOB (bring your own briquettes).

I come here for lunch frequently. The natural atmosphere is a relaxing change of pace from the hubub of everyday life. There is outdoor seating spread out around the front of park so finding a spot to sit and eat is not a problem. The signage about the planet's is pretty cool as well. It's a fun walk around the park.

This was one of the most beautiful parks I've been to in Arizona. So much nature to observe: water turtles, humming birds, huge rabbits, hawks from above, ducks, and quail. The trails were wheelchair accessible, or a nice dirt trail to casually walk along. There are two waterfalls and and water reserve areas everywhere.

A gem of a park in Chandler! This park features an urban fishing lake, an Environmental Education Center, several trails, bird observation blinds, picnic ramadas, and water recharge areas that return reclaimed water back to the ground for future use. Recharge of water is done through several basins in the landscape which in turn support the development of riparian and wetland areas that attract wildlife. This makes the park a great place for nature lovers and bird watchers. Come here and hike, jog, ride your bike, go fishing (you must get a permit first, of course), observe native flora and wildlife, or have a picnic - all in a scenic, environmentally friendly and educational urban park.

Clean and informative park around a large pond with waterfall. Has a star walk to learn about the planets and their distances relative to the sun. Lots of open grassy areas along with pavilions and picnic tables. Good fishing spot according to several guys fishing around the parameter of the pond.

The only thing this place needs to be a five star park is an actual playground for the kids.

Really had a great time walking through Veterans Oasis Park. I couldn't believe how vibtantctge atmosphere.
