Reviews of Skyline Regional Park
M W
Beautiful place to pull up and go for a quick hike or stay all day. Horse friendly trails. You can climb a small peak and come back down in 30 min. Lots of trails. There are seasonal community events held here so check out the website.
Deaths Light
A fun way to spend the afternoon with your family. It's definitely an experience! There are many different trails with different difficulty levels for those interested in a challenge. Overall an amazing time!
Edith Levy
I have now hiked every trail in the park. They are all great. Some are definitely more challenging than others, but you can get a good stretch of the legs no matter your conditioning level.
Kathryn Friedlund
Edit - we came back and did the Mountain Wash, Skyline Crest, and looped back on Quartz Mine to the parking. It was GREAT! The views are spectacular. It was over 4 miles total, but even the 4 year old was able to keep up. The trail does get a bit narrow on the higher points, but enough room to pass someone if necessary.
The views are beautiful. There is a restroom at the start of the trail area. I did a partial trip on 2 'moderate' trails and I would rate them easy as far as incline goes! I will come back and see the other trails. It was great to be out in nature and surrounded by beautiful scenery!
Angeline Parris
Free entrance and many trails lead to a beautiful view of the west valley. There is a restroom at the trailheads, horse trails, bike trails, and wheel chair access trails, along with regular hiking. I enjoy the desert scape and spring flowers when they're blooming. This park is dog friendly and poop bags are offered to pick up after doggie's business. And last bit not least, there are some picnic tables scattered along the trailheads.
Cedd LaB
Perfect place to camp, hike, or hang out for a day. Very clean. Please pick up after your pets people! Keep the park gorgeous
Jim Mayorga
Im new to hiking and couldn’t have found a better place. It has all kids of difficulty levels and beautiful views. Its clean and everyone here has been friendly.
Santita
There are so many trails here to choose from!! I did mountain wash. Was sowhat hard , medium level, I'll say. The bathroom was pretty clean, and there was plenty of parking !! So pretty too.
C A
This is a great place to go hiking. You will find an assortment of trails, some easy, some a bit more challenging. The entrance is free.
KeIF YW
Well designed and kept park, box office closed on Memorial Day so we got in for free, was planning to get an annual pass for the county/regional parks. Learned a few plants names from their excellent signs. Saw the orange lizard from an earlier photo from another reviewer, Hi~#~
Matt Litten
Cheapest paid public camping on Phoenix. Great trails. Public runs through their very frequently. Not the most private. Good for a night or two.
Autumn Puckett, Realtor
This park is amazing! There are several trails at varying levels. The views are beautiful 😍
I cannot wait to explore more of this park and hike every trail!
J.M. Northup
This was an incredible experience. My husband and I went for a short hike. Not only did we enjoy the beautiful natural area, but we met some of the friendly locals. It was a day of warm and fond memories!
Gail Mathews
Love that there is no fee. It's close to home. And there are so many great trails to chose from....
M BoB
Beautiful park and perfect place to stop and have a picnic. We stopped here along a long drive we could eat, and I'm so glad we did.
Scott Eggert
Nice hiking trails and open camping spots. We did the 2.5 mile loop
Max Moonen
Great hiking trails fun and most are pretty easy, great location to watch the sunset disappear over the mountains.
Sean Ryan
A great hike in the Phoenix area! Good trail system and trail signs let you know what’s coming up to tailor your difficulty level.
Melanie Brumble
This is a great, well kept park, and that isn't crowded at all like other trails I've been to in Arizona. It's really easy to find, and the roads leading to the campgrounds and main trails are in great shape.
Even with the variety of trails offered at the park. Going up in incline when the trails get smaller and twisty. It's still very easy to see where the rest of the trails lead too.
Not to mention this place doesn't have any boring sights at all. If your looking for a place with a variety of great sights that give a wide range in difficulty. This is a great place for beginners and hikers more experienced
Andrew
This park was wonderful for hiking! There is no entrance fee as well. I would highly recommend coming here for a good hike! The sense of accomplishment here is great with the views of the surrounding cities along with other mountains. The trails were nicely marked so you know where you’re going as well. If you’re thinking about stopping here go for it! You won’t regret it at all. Also, depending on the day and time, you might be able to see some planes fly over from Luke AFB! I’m sure I’ll be back here to explore the tons of trails there are.
Karen Massey
This is a great place to go hiking, there are several different trails, a few covered picnic areas with tables and a building with bathrooms. The parking lot was pretty full early Saturday morning around 9 AM. But it is definitely worth taking the time to go out and enjoy Gods creation. Happy Hiking.
Eva Wilson
We were here only to camp for a night on a road trip. We were in site B. Nice long driveway but no designated tent site as mentioned in the campsite notes. We ended up with our tent on the driveway. Very noisy through out the night on a Wednesday night. Someone ran their generator all night long. People came and went at all hours of the night. Some very loud just hanging out, others I think to hike. But at 3am?
J N
Plenty of parking, quite a few trails as well. The trails are well groomed; not much danger of overgrowth here, but nice trails nonetheless.
Christina Mendez
Camped here for a couple nights. They could make the checkin process for the campsites a little more streamlined and there's spotty service. But it's a beautiful park and camping was inexpensive at 20. No hookups but we're self contained so it was fine. 4 out of 5 stars
Brandon Brown
Great place to enjoy the white tank mountains off 1-10. Did the walk from skyline to Verrado, it was amazing.
RV or camping is $20.00 a night. Spot A is for handicap and the only one with a concrete pad.
Cell phone coverage is weak with AT&T.
Jeff Sambur
A weird campground right next to a BUSY trailhead and dead end road. Apparently many travelers sleep in their vehicles in the parking lots.
In another setting the campground would be outstanding. Throughout the night I could hear the I-10 and locals buzzing around. Hiking trails are well marked and maintained though.
Kat Hecker (Tits McGee)
If you enjoy the desert, you'll enjoy this park. Most of the trails are easy enough for a beginner. There is even a trail that is handicap accessible!! I give it a five star rating, but when it is busy I'd rate it a 3. Rude hikers blasting music, kids yelling at the top of their lungs, people of every age littering. If you choose to go, please be mindful of nature and other hikers!! Kindness goes a long way!
Diana Eaton
Great place to go hiking!! We went early morning at 6:00am. The weather was nice and cool! There were quite a few people there already. It wasn't crowded. You were able to hike and keep safe distance from everyone. Without worry.
Jason Burlingame
First time here, had a great time. I did the loop, took the one lane steep trail. Started on one side of the mountain and ended up on the other. Wear good shoes and bring a lot of water and snacks. A lot of rocks on the trail, so be careful. The views from up in there are awesome, will definitely go back, oh and there is no charge to park or go.
Shane King
Pretty solid park and trails. It's free, and that never hurts. Some of the easier trails require going through moderate parts first. Just keep that in mind.
William McDaniel
A great place to hike with no place to shade! I'm from the eastern states and used to the green canopy of the Appalachian mountains. Its different but not a place I'd want to hike in for long during hot days. The plants look like something from a nightmare. It was a good hike but inhospitable environment.
Christopher McKenna
Great area to take a hike and get away from it all. Trails are clearly marked and each path has its own unique attributes. There are trails for everyone to choose from. We have come many times and have found new and exciting sites each visit. There are nice facilities available and it is definitely family friendly.
Joey Dias
Really nice place to come hang out in the desert and social distance. Bring water and sunscreen!! There is not much shade. But there are wide open spaces, lots of desert, lots of bugs (they would not leave me alone 😉). It’s a cool place to go if you want to get out of the city for a bit. Plus, they don’t charge you to get in! …
Ron Hebert
Skyline is a beautiful park. The best marked trail system I have ever seen. Very well laid out and serviced. I had the opportunity to hike every trail in the park during February of 2019. Unlike Maricopa county parks there is no entry fee at Skyline. The Skyline Crest and Pyrite-Chuckwalla loop were my favourite hikes. Well done city of Buckeye. Well done!
Latash Renee'
I hiked turnbuckle trail with my daughter and friends. It was a moderate roughly 3.5 miles, including Valle Vista .33 trail to the top with higher difficulty. This trail was an easy to follow loop with views, dropoffs, lots of rocks and was a vigorous workout
Tony Sherman
Great access point to the miles and miles of trails throughout the White Tank Mountains. Park is always clean and usually no issues with parking.
Road Travel Vlogs
Definately recommend for hiking. A lot of trails for different levels, beautiful view, clean and well maintained. Admission is free!
Troy Squillaci
Fantastic trail system. They keep adding onto it. The facilities, maps, and trails are great. So much variety. There is a hike for everyone here. You can piece together multiple trails to make your own route. They even have a wheelchair accessible trail. There trails themselves are clearly marked and there are signs along the way so you know how far you've gone and your position. Overall it's a wonderful place for quick hikes away from the city.
Luke Williams
Lots of trails to choose. I enjoyed the Turnbuckle and Skyline Loop Trails. The view from the top is as beautiful as it gets in Phoenix. It's about 4.5 miles round trip and 850 feet of elevation gain.
Andrew Marwick
Great hiking area and there are already several ways to connect to Verrado. If access from Verrado is improved like off Watson Road, this will be a really awesome hiking area. I'm not sure who owns the land between Verrado and White Tanks County Park, the potential for hiking in the White Tanks is unlimited.
Eugene Lawson
Various trails for various workouts. Scenic views. Downside. Hot in the summer shade scarce. Very crowded during peak hours and with the high traffic more and more litter and pet waste.
Jennifer Faux - Campbell
We love Skyline Regional Park. We go there frequently since it's close to our house. It's a great place for a desert hike, especially since we're all currently experiencing a pandemic and it is rarely busy.
Jose Nava
Great public park to go hiking. The trails can get somewhat technical. Most all the trails are climbing. Soo come strong! Bring your hydration beverage. The restrooms the times i have been here have been buzzing with bees.
Ruben Diaz
Amazing hike and views. Alot of trails. Easy to hard. There is a map at base to select. Alot of parking. No fees
Tee Vee
Beautiful area to watch the sunrise. Not crowded. Fairly easy trails. Great views. Dog friendly.
Ricky Olguin
So this was my first time coming here and I was pleasently surprised. I figured it would be packed since it was in the afternoon but it wasn't. There is a decent amount of parking as well. Regarding the trails, there is an accessible trail if needed and all of the trails are well marked. There are plenty of trails for everyone. All of the people that I encountered while hiking were friendly. I haven't tried all of the trails yet but when I do, I will update this if need be. Also, the bathrooms were super clean for being public. Overall, it was a great experience!
Anita Tension
I love that its close to my home and has nice trails that i can take my dogs on.
Hike Arizona
Better views than most expect. Pyrite, Valley Vista & Javelina are my favorites. Easy to put together your own loop hike with about 17 little trails. Seriously nicer than nearby Estrella Park.
Philip Sky
The skyline park is vast and wide. Great beginner trails with advanced hiking.
Cody Peterson
Great park. Lots of trails and very quiet. A little higher than the surrounding area so there are some nice views. Great picnic spots, great for stargazing, great trails for equine and k9. Be wary of scorpions and rattlesnakes. Not often encountered but it does happen as the area is very raw, which is what makes it so beautiful, so stay alert. Do not hike in peak summer as trails are deceivingly long and should only be hiked in temps below 100. Observatory and amphitheater are in works and should be completed in the coming years.
Gaston Vargas
Great hikes from wheelchair accessible to difficult. Well done trails... and it is beautiful 😍 …
Perla Gonzalez
My favorite hiking place. I stopped going for a bit after I saw a rattle snake & realized it's scarier when you actually see one lol anyways ive been back now so many times... You can watch the sunrise here it's amazing.
Delia Fornero
Great place for hiking! There are bathrooms, picnic areas and trails for wheelchairs
Manatees Moo
Great trail options, free, clean restrooms, nice picnic areas. It's getting hot out so go early and expect more wildlife as it gets warmer.
Kelly Andrade
Beautiful desert trails. My children age 15, 9 & 7 were able to do the moderate trail with light assistance from myself. Very clean and natural.
Kathleen V
Nice area great trails. Best sunrises. Went to stargazing event great pictures and informative.
Mike Johnson
Great place to go for an easy hike. I only wish the bathrooms were not locked and people observed the signs about no "poop fairy" and cleaned up after their dogs.
Eva Rodriguez
My favorite spot in town. Variety of trails and beautiful scenery. Can get crowded on the weekends so be sure to head out early.
Jershon Eagar
Great trails, with options for all ability & mobility levels. Bring extra water! It gets hot very quickly after the sun rises.
Melissa Ranks
Free mountain park with lots of trails. Very nice Handicap ♿ trail. Decent bathrooms at large parking area (end of road). Free RV camping (no hookups).
Joshua Hanson
Easy hikes for all skill levels and children if you stay on the short loops, nice scenic views of the valley with some elevation gain. Camping is allowed, the opportunity to have campfires depends on the wildfire severity level.
Nakira
Very peaceful, and the accessible trail for the disabled (red tailed hawk trail) was very easy going.
When I arrived the wind picked up so I was unable to see to many birds. But I did learn some new things from the trail info post about the different animals and plants in the area.
I cannot wait to go back again. Though I do wish I can get on other trails but it is what it is.
Next time I will get better photos, these were just quick ones for me, not thinking about the whole
Derek Rodenbeck
If you are on your way through take the time to stop at this park! The trails are marked very well, so hats off to the team who maintains and plans them. Great views, fun hikes, and beautiful sunsets!! 5 stars!
William Lee
Hidden gem in Buckeye! Trails well maintained and clearly marked! Great view from the top of Crest Summit.
Antonio Salce
This area provides great hiking opportunities for all skill levels! They even have a trail you can push a wheelchair through! It's just outside the greater Phoenix area, and it presents some stunning views and sunsets! (Probably sunrises as well, bit I don't usually hike that early) you can ride a bike on some trails here as well! All in all I highly recommend this area for a hike! You can also camp here if you want to as well! The restrooms are nice and dogs are allowed! It also has picnic areas as they do provide some doggy doo trash bags. Don't miss out on these wonderful hikes!
Will Rich
Hiking 2,330 vertical feet made for some incredible views. Very nice trails, spanning the entire spectrum as far as challenge level. There is also handicapped accessible trail.
Todd K
Fantastic views from Crest Summit!
Jody
Best keep secret in the West Valley.
Incredible trails that lead to majestic views. Staff is amazing!!!
Sho-Bizz Landren Jr.

L Washington
Nice hike. Quite a few different trails.
Brady Abel
Love hiking here! A number of trails and skill levels available. Beautiful views of the valley.
Mike Hual
Great hikes of many different lengths and difficulties. Very nice camping bit with no hookups.
Clif Deuvall
A variety of trails ... the scenery is beautiful ... perfect for a picnic
Dulce Hagen
Very nice. Only downside is that people don't pick up after their dogs. Or they do bag poop but leave the bags all over the place.
Stella Redwing
Skyline is awesome with a variety of trails from easy to challenging, two ramadas, and bathroom facilities. Handicap, kid and dog friendly. In case you couldn't tell by looking around, Phoenix is a desert. Yes, we hike in the desert with snakes, scorpions and chuckwallas. It's a barren wasteland so don't go when it's a 120 degrees. June through October is when we hole up in the house with the AC blasting. Please don't look for your 15 mins of fame by being the person on the news rescued from passing out due to dehydration because you tried to hike in the heat. The sun is literally hotter here than any other state, even if it's "only" 80 degrees out. Bring water.
Richard Lawrence
9/8/21 Awesome morning but BE AWARE FOLKS! I ran into a rattler at the summit junction on quartz loop. Keep your eyes open and have a great hike!
Michael Trippanera
Trails are always in good conditions. When it rains this place can take the water so no need to stop your adventure....
Jayden Miller
Great location! Nice trails and people were very nice!
2 years later.. still loving this place!
Zac Alameda
Excellent park to visit. Many trails to explore. 👣 🌎 …
Michelle Freshwater
Very rocky and dry, very exposed. Good for a sunrise photo or two, and a short walk before the heat of the day.
Bob Durna
Love this place! Several well marked trails for all hiking levels and it’s easy to link various trails together to make the experience as easy or difficult as you’d like it to be. The trails that have elevation provide some wonderful views especially at sunrise or sunset. The park has been open since 2016 and has become increasingly popular….at this time there is no entry fee. The restrooms have flush toilets and are, for the most part, clean.
Regino A. Parragil
It's a really great place to go hiking. Has trails for all levels of hikers
Tony Ivey
A beautiful little park that I found by accident but I am so glad I did. I didn't have to deal with the crowds found at other parks
Lori Shoaf
One of the things I like about this park is it has loop trails. No need to see the same stuff coming back. Desert views and some of the valley. You can get your heart pumping along these trails. Perfect length if you got a couple hours to spare. Ample parking, clean restrooms and picnic areas.
Brandon Reeves
Amazing views and easy well maintained trail to hike on.
Steven & Tracey Jiles
Awesome park with nice clean trails and beautiful views..
scott rooks
Really great hike. Enjoying going to the outdoors for some fun and exercise. Took the whole family.
Jessica Carvalho
Open network of trails, even wheelchair accessible ones. Ample parking. Clear trail maps. Restroom onsite. The trails were not overly crowded.
Brandon Smith
Super anazing hiking trails such a beautiful place to experience. If you dont mind putting in some work to get to the peak the view is amazing. There is a bunch of trails to choose from and all different difficulties.
Nathan Jones
Great trails that are clearly marked to explore this park for any hiker. Views were great along with clean facilities. Wish I had map to change trails and explore more.
Joel Kigondu
A well kept park with a lot of trails with various levels of difficult. There are trails up down and around mountains.
Good for trekking cycling and horseback.

mario barrios

Trails are ok
Turnbuckle is rocky
nicholas daley
Great place to hike early in the morning with "easy" to "black diamond" trails.
Adam Kraatz
Nice place to hike. Lots of trails with different difficulties. Something for everyone. Parking is bad get their early but then you risk getting blocked in.
Joseph Lambert
If you like to hike or camp. Water and sunscreen is your best friend. And hiking shoes or boots as most the trails are rocky. But beautiful landscape overall.
Ernesto Lopez
Good place to hike for locals. Trails are not to crowded and they have a variety of trails from beginner to difficult and even for people with accessibility issues. You can also camp and they have events throughout the month
Taylor
One of my favorite places to go after work for a quick hike.
Eric Miller
Outstanding hiking system here with wonderful views.
Joshua Taylor
The hikes here are awesome and challenging. I love this place!
Victoria Prodan
I love this park!! It has hikes that lasts for 2 hrs and anyone you choose the trails are marked so all you have to do is enjoy the view knowing it'll take you right back to your car. It's my favorite because it gives you challenges while not killing you.
Erlin Clarke
This place is huge with a lot of trails. The trails are wide that I really liked, you can walk, run or bike. Be on the lookout for snakes when hiking which is normal in AZ but please be careful.
Matt S
Awesome trails! It was a little more crowded than I would like, but it could be due to the holiday.
Bradley Wright
Beautiful view on the peak of the mountain. Lots of desert wildlife. Admission is free too.
Miss Ivy
One of my favorite places to hike and to photograph insects!
Wendle Whitman
Nice spot and lots of scorpions at night though, bring a black light you may find the biggest one ever.
Jane Jacobs
Quiet and peaceful place to camp in our 34’ motorhome. The stars are brilliant at night. We stayed three nights. (We only had one issue with people in Space C that were not camped there. They apparently only came to have a campfire and party until about 1:00-2:00 in the morning. They left and surprisingly they left the space clean!). We would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!
AD Vallejos
Love this place!!! Beautiful. Nice friendly people. Everyone says hi😁 when passing. …
Arizona Jones
Great trails and beautiful views. Completed 2 trails now and will keep working on them until I complete them all!
Troy Dexter
Bring your dog. Bring your brother. Bring water. Great trails. Cleanest restrooms I've ever seen at a park.
John Thoresen
Trails are great. Easy/short trails and harder/longer trails. Trails for all ages and skill levels.
Sand paddler
Great place to visit if you are hiking, biking or on horseback(designated trails).
George Harper
Great place to hike. 10 dry camp pads are $10 or so. Close to all conveniences, Walmart, gas, emergency medical. Toilet, and couple of picnic shelters.
raymond perez
This is a really nice park to hike or have a picnic.
Billy Jack vallejo
Such an awesome park so much to do and see will definitely be headed back soon.
Matthew Flores
Hiked to Crest Summit Good hike nice view
Keith Gempler
Used to be a fantastic place to ride dirt bikes and ATVs. Lots of wildlife, and hardly any people. Now only walkers and cyclists allowed. Ruined a great treasure of the valley. Otherwise, a beautiful place to visit, with great views of the desert and city.
Esha Thompson
Great place to hike. Beautiful scenery. Glad we don't have to go out to White Tanks to hike anymore!
Levi Garrett
Awesome trails for all types of people. Even the longer ones are a challenge that you and your dog will enjoy
Ami D
Has something for all abilities, beautiful views. Obviously gets pretty hot in the summer
Useful Stuff
My favorite hiking place, close to home yet so pristine
Devin Peterson

Ed Rolland
Beautiful free hiking area
Martin Ruiz
Great place to hike. Watch out for police on Watson Rd., speed trap...
Julia
Love taking my small dog here for walks just to clear my mind. Plus it makes for a good place to have an outdoor picnic with the kids for dinner and decent scenery.
Anthony Ludington
Trails range from easy to rather rugged. The community regularly has events from campfire sing alongs, horseback riding, and yoga.
Katrina Canon
Nice campground with hiking trails. Highly recommend the Moonlight hike. Does get busy in am when the non campers come for early sunrise hikes.
Paul Ortega
Great ramadas bbq grills scenic views
Autum F
Beautiful in the Winter! You can truly admire the beauty in the Desert 😉 …
Audrey Jacobson
I enjoyed Skyline Regional Park! It has easy trails and more difficult trails. I was doing a Thanksgiving walk so I decided to go on one of the more simpler trails. I've also noticed that there was a barrier-free sign showing that handicapped individuals, who can walk , can also use this Trail.
Exotik Vibez
Amazing views from hiking trails
Courtney Harris
My husband and I love to hike these trails. It's awesome they have options from easy to hard.
Lawrence Allen
I took my son for a hike towards the evening, we ended up doing one of the difficult trails and we were able to get through it plus the view was amazing once we reached the peak of one of the mountains.
Noel Dejesus
Nice park to visit. Short marked trails so its not too bad for anyone who just wants to hike. It does have some picnic tables with grills so thats a plus. Gave a 4 star because the trails are fairly short. Wonderful views though. 👍 …
A Z
Very beautiful spot, although it is a bit of a drive out. There was plenty of parking. I did the whole loop around the park by interconnecting all the trails. It took about 5 hours, great workout.
The great thing was I didn't see much of a crowd and there weren't any bicycles. The trail was also kept very clean.
My favorite trail was the Skyline Crest trail. You will want to approach it clockwise. In my case, I did Mountain Wash to Lost Creek and the Skyline Crest. This way, it was more steep climbing and the downhill was very mild. The views were just breathtaking from the Skyline Crest trail. Will be back soon.
Jamie Geer
This is a great outing with the family. The hiking trails are easy to "water-pack-and-hiking-poles" difficulty. If you don't pay attention to the signs you will definitely get off your planned route, especially if you are letting the 9 year old lead the pack. This is not a flip-flips walking trail. Wear some good shoes with traction, bring water, wear a hat and sunscreen. If you're lucky you may get to see a group of horseback riders out enjoying the trails too.
Mark Steiger
Great little park with a series of connected trails that allows you to hike as short, or as long as you want. Go early before the sun comes up.
Mike Forsstrom
Great place to hike or just hang out.
Jill McCartney
Great dog-friendly hiking trails that are well mapped out. Can get a bit busy but everyone so far has been respectful of each other and the trails. Very well kept area with beautiful views, bathrooms and picnic areas. Cars are well patrolled by the police.
Tim & Lorraine Stensager
Fabulous. Grand vistas. A great variety of trails that place you in the beauty of the desert. Public restrooms are available and it's all free!
Rick Barnes
Great place to hike and no fees. The trails are reasonably maintained for bikes, hikers and horses. Though not large when compared to White Tanks, it's still big enough that you can spend a solid day on the various trails.
The Mcladdy
Trails are well maintained. Ranging from easy walking or motorized cart. All the way to difficult challenging trails.
Stephen VanHerpen
Great place to hike, ride or bike. Large variety of trails.
Bob Millner
I have been coming here for the last 5 months on a regular basis (4X a week in average), love this place, people here a very friendly and it is free to access which is even greater...thank you city of Buckeye!!! Great trails and very well marked, beautiful scene and you have from easy to difficult trails so there are definitely some choices for you but....be aware of rattles snakes! Yes I know, it’s the desert but one thing I did not know is their ability to change colors and maybe I’m wrong but they seem to camouflage themselves according to their surroundings, maybe an expert could help me here but they are out there and seemed to be more and more...could be the season! Just be careful and ENJOY THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE !!!
Robert Bierer
One word....BEAUTIFUL!
Kirk Tepper
Love this park, but don't take little kids on Turnbuckle trail. It has adult themed cacti.
Shang Tsung
Very nice place, people are friendly, trails for literally anyone, easy to extreme.
Brandon Bellotte-Tippie
Beutiful place love it there
Terry Gunn
One of my favorite parks. A beautiful oasis!
Chase Odom
The trails are very well marked, good parking, and never really crowded. The trails were also very clean. There was no plants or cactus in the path nor did I see any trash anywhere. There is s bathroom at the trail head right next to the parking lot. Just make sure you bring lots of water because there is very little shade.
Gilberto Balderrama
I come here 6 days out of the week and every time I come, I am never disappointed by the scenery. The people that decide to go are always happy and greet you as you are coming up/down the mountain. There are many trails to choose from varying from difficulty, so if you are a beginner or an advanced hiker, you will find the right trail for you. There are also spots for camping and the people who do so are always happy to give you a bottle of water, if you forgot yours. The only problem I have is the bags of poop on trails. I suggest checking when the sun goes down and hiking all the way up because it is one of the most beautiful sunsets.
kyle zastrow
Neat park off the beaten path. Discovered this park while 4 wheeling the surrounding area. I've got to come back for stargazing.
Nick Parcenka
Great views, several different hiking trails (even one for folks with limited mobility) and the best part...no entry fee. Bathroom facility (w/ flushing toilets) at the trailhead was clean and everyone on the trail was friendly. We hiked the Turnbuckle trail (3 mi loop) and enjoyed the experience.
Dava Esman
Beautiful area with trails that are nicely groomed, but still rough enough to know you're in the mountains and not on the sidewalk! Moderate trails are hard enough for the average person. Just would like better signage for those of us somewhat directionally impaired. Have taken two out-of-towners there and they can't stop raving about the awesome views and facilities. Well done, Buckeye!
HARY 5150
Great hiking trails, nice facilities. Trails are great for running. According to the website, they will be expanding and have connecting trails to the White Tanks park. One of the reviews had complaints about horse dropping which is correct, but it wasn't enough to really affect anyone's hike. Overall the area is great!
Tera Polzin
The trails are amazing, but the campground was a little pricey for having nothing special provided. No water or electric, no showers (which you will want because it's so dusty), and no garbage at your site.
There was also confusion about reserving spots. We showed up, paid and picked our spot but then hours later, after we were settled, we were forced to move because someone had already reserved that spot online. This happened to someone else that same day.
Anita Tension
Love taking the kiddos and pups for a walk here
Andrew J
Wonderful place to take a hike. There is a short trial to get to the top of a hill/mountain to over look I believe Goodyear. Our children under 7 handled it perfectly
Sipora P
It has multi trails to choose from. Short ones and long distance. Easy& medium difficult ones. Make time, get connected with Nature.
Madeline Aguayo
Beautiful place. The views are amazing!
Maureen Killian
Free park with excellent hiking. Hikes range from relatively easy to difficult with large changes in elevation. Great place to bring the dogs for a walk judging by the number of dogs on the trail. One of my favorite hiking spots in the west valley.
Marcy Bingham
Went here today and it was so beautiful and peaceful. It has an easy trail for beginners like me and not too long. Definitely recommend
Tata Ray
Great hiking trails and fun time with daughter and friends
Jereme G
Nice relaxing trail. Great for kids
Brian Munroe
This place is one of the valleys best hidden gems. It is never overcrowded and extremely attractive, clean and accessible parks in the entire valley.
David Cluff
This is a very nice trail system with most trails being of moderate difficulty. There are a few hard trails (Skyline in particular). The trails here are well kept and well used. You get some really good views to the south once you get to the back of the trail system.
There are restrooms and picnic tables. There are even camping spots. Oddly, they don't charge to get in.
Jay Adamo
Excellent! Bring a ton of water and wear good hiking shoes/boots. Depending on the time of day and which trail you take you will get some shade from the mountains. Otherwise prepare to bake. View from Skyline crest is breathtaking.
ALEXIS BULLOCK
We came here to take some photos with a local photographer and had no clue where we were going until we arrived. This park makes you feel like your no where near a city which is amazing. Our photographer was able to get some really great photos as well. We saw tons of people walking on hiking trails. We actually came back a month later to take more photos with the photographer for Christmas. Nothing says Christmas in Arizona like having a Christmas tree set up next to a cactus.
Tony Edwards
This is a nice clean park with lots of Hiking trails.
Marie Buccelli
One of the best views!
Alexandru Ganus
Fantastic place to hike, bicycle or run - well, you can bring your horse as well. Trails range from easy to difficult so you can tailor your experience. Should you decide for more challenging trails, you will be treated with great panoramic views.
Gregory Latz
Fun place to get some trail walking in.
Eric Merriman
Great views, water fountain was not working.
Abel Cruz
This place is great for mountain biking. Chuckwalla trail is fun. If your a expert its probably too easy, but I love riding my bike here. Personally I've run into plenty of wildlife. Rattlesnake, small snakes, and a Gila monster. This place is a hidden diamond. So far nothing but good times here.
Cheryl Phillips
Had a really nice hike. It's a nice park. It wasnt very crowded considering it was a Sunday. I just wish people would not leave their trash on the trails for other hikers to take out for them.
Cinnamon Stewart
These are great trails. Even better after it's rained and the desert is more green. I love the difficulty of these trails. Great views! Better in cooler months of the winter because there is no where to escape the sun in the summer time.
Kip Nissen
Wonderful campground, the website says you have to reserve online but you can pull up, park and pay for any empty spot. It is close to the trails and people show up early to hike so you get some morning traffic.
Mike Brannin
A brand new public park with great hiking, biking and horse trails. There are great views after a bit of a climb.
If you're mountain biking, this is not a casual trip. While not too technical the trails are quite fast and steep.
The park initially started off as a 3 or 4 mile system of trails but more miles are being added all the time with plans to connect to the White Tank Regional Park to the north.
There's no water on the trails so self determination is a must if heading out in the warmer months. Bathrooms and campground are located near the main trailhead.
If camping, reservations are required.
Andrew Marwick
Nice mix of shorter hikes(than at White Tanks Regional Park) at the south end of the White Tanks. Great views from ridge trails that are well marked. Easy access off I-10 exit 117, adding to the huge variety of hiking options around Phoenix.
Jacob Frantz
Great place to mountain bike and hike beautiful we love it!
Jay Erickson
Great place to hike for all
Charlanne Cremona
Beautiful dessert trails with some nice shaded spots too :) wonderful views! Lots of fun little critters!
Andrew Fitzpatrick
Amazing views, great trails and well maintained structures
Rane Wallin
The trails are nice. There are only a handful of camping spots and they are small without any privacy or shade, but for taking a walk it is great. It's never too crowded. There are trails for any fitness level or ability.
Vern Ruberson
Well marked and maintained trails. Get up close to desert plants and rocks. Some pretty good vistas/scenic views as well. Restrooms by the trailhead have running water. Best weather would be November to March.
Lulie Aviles
Such a nice hike!
Garden Tailor
I always have an amazing time here. Today it was light sprinkles. Not too cold this morning. It was so beautiful the way the clouds crept over the mountains. The colors of the desert plants were so vibrant after a hard rain last night. The air was so fresh and new. How can you not want to be here.
D. W.
Beautiful. Fun hiking not far off the freeway. They have mountain biking trails, horse trails, and wheel chair accessible trails. They also have camp grounds. Highly recommend.
Lucifer Sunnyside
I absolutely love this park, many trails to choose from, and hike, plenty of scenery including an overlook point. Grills for picnics and picnic tables and a bathroom for ur kiddies, it's well kept and manetained with great care and I will surely enjoy going there again and again you can never get tired of it and u see different scenery every time ur there.
Aidaly Magee
I love that this is available right in my backyard! Most of these parks have a fee but Skyline is free, as of right now no one mans the front office. My only issue is that a lot of dog owners don't keep their dogs on a leash, just beware if you're taking your dogs here. Parking on the weekends can sometimes be tough, this is usually the case after 9am, although this is definitely going to change as the temperature increases.
LuLu Posada
Great hiking trails!!! Beautiful views! I love to go hiking with my dog at least 2 to 3 times a week since it opened. I'm just not to happy thinking about when the heat gets here : (
Warren Lauzon
This relatively small park is surprisingly good. I visited in late March 2016, and it has not quite "settled in" yet - still some recent signs of construction tracks and landscaping around the rest areas, but on the trails it is very much pristine and mostly undisturbed desert. It has a wide variety of desert plants, and many of the cacti were just starting to bloom at that time. I plan on going back shortly, as soon as the saguaro start blooming. Have heard it gets a bit crowded on weekends, but on a Tuesday I only saw about 10 cars in the entire area.
Jason Champagne
This is a nice new hiking area. It is free to hike and there is ample parking. There are a plethora of trails to range from 2 miles up top 20, so you can hike as sorry or as far as you like.
Bell
Awsome kid friendly trails and a few different ones and the bathrooms are clean and the park is a all around well kept and a clean place. The scenery can be breathtaking at some points of the trails, there are look out points and all! You can also camp here bbq and picnic!
MC Los
I Love Trail running here. Its very clean and the people you see are great. I do enjoy that at some points in my runs it feel like your are alone. Over all Skyline Regional Park is fantastic for everyone.
Wind Walker
One of the best kept secrets in the valley.
sheena hobson
Beautiful views, clearly marked trails. Great place to picnic && hike. Leave no trace, preserve the natural beauty && wildlife. If you picnic, please do your part && make sure you pick up after yourselves (;
Veronica Quinn
While we are very excited to have a park near us that welcomes the horses as well as the bikers and hikers we are sadly disappointed in the parking. It is extremely difficult to park in the horse designated area as single cars park randomly in there and take up the length leaving no room for the trailer and truck. We had to leave one time as all the cars had randomly parked in the parking so there was long spots open. We went significantly early and did get parking the next time to only come back and find cars parked so close we could not get our horses tied to the trailer to remove our saddles. They parked directly in front of us so we had to back out only to find a vehicle parked sideways on the road part behind us. It was very difficult to get out. Those of you complaining about the manure...I get it but it does dry up and blow away doing not harm to nature. UNLIKE the 15 water bottles we found thrown out along the trails...
Sadly we may not utilize the park further as it is to much to drive there and find we cant get in or out. Pictures available of our being parked in if any one wants to see.
bazinb
Great trails, well marked, all skill types. Free entry, fairly quiet most days.
Grant Bloom
Enjoyed a trail run on coal mine, lost creek, and skyline ridge trails. Very good wayfinding signage and intermediate markers. Beautiful views, reasonably sized parking lots, nice facilities, and no entry fee. Model regional park. Suitable for pets and families.
Jerry Smith
I think it is the best place to hike. I've hiked there 4 times now and I love it.
Misty Dean
Wonderful collection of trails.
John Robinson
The trails are awesome and everyone there is super nice. Summer months call for an early start, pre-hydrate and drink plenty of fluids. Trails are great for bicycles as well.
Lisa
Nice park with trails for all skill levels!
Isaac Vazquez
Great trails, something for everyone and the best part is that there is no entrance fee. They have camping spots you can reserve. Great excercise and beautiful views.
Norman Tippeconnie
Favorite place in the world. Trails for days. West valley's best
Tammy Davis
Beautiful area for hiking
Brian Barnes
The park is very young but it has amazing potential. The facilities are top notch. The trails are professionally constructed and free of rocks and debris. The signage on the trails and at the trailhead provide an enormous amount of information.
The picnic ramadas are concrete and covered to provide shelter from the sun. They are plentiful and located in nice scenic areas. The campsites however leave a lot to be desired. They are small, with very little level ground to pitch tents. The parking space for RV's is adequate length but leave no room on either side for awnings and camp furniture. The price to stay is too high to justify due to many other nearby camping sites that are more mature and offer more space.
All in all, this is a great little park and I plan to spend more time there in the future.
Mattman P
Wow! This place is awesome. Great views of the desert.
Michael Whetstone
Beautiful place and close to interstate 10 very quiet
Sherry Regan
The maps are hard for me to read but the trails are clean and the scenery is beautiful. The facilities are well maintained and the city's website provides ample information.
Jeff Lloyd
Great park, great facility. Irritating that I found 4 empty water bottles on Turnbuckle trail. The rude and selfish are everywhere. For such a new park, there is already evidence of vandalism. It's beyond me why people can't be respectful of public property.
Ashley Alexion
Love hiking here. Great trails, not super rocky. Parking can be a challenge, but the traffic is steady so it's pretty easy to eventually get a spot.
Tim and Jenny Malcolm
Love the hiking and the park is new, you can camp here, in fact there are many activities on the buckeye calendar however there are only a few very basic dirt spots for campsites and no trees or shade
Rose
Love! Skyline is family and pet friendly! The trails are easy to locate...you have many to choose from. The views are Awesome! They have picnic areas and restrooms! Get outside and explore!

It was a great experience with star gazing. The staff was very informative and was ready to answer any questions. There were telescopes manned by the owners and they were generous with everyone in explaining what a person was looking at and answering all questions.
julie Still
Great trails but not much parking and the trailer parking and staging area was turned into general parking. Don't even think of riding here on the weekends. Maricopa needs to change this
Rogelio Pena
Best place for hiking
Darl Haagen
The town of Buckeye has done a great job on this park. The trails are well groomed and there is a great variety. On most of the trails, expect a good workout right out of the parking lot! :)

E Hall
Great place to hike that's not too far out of town. Beautiful views of the city. It can get a little crowded on the weekends.
Debbie Kogutkiewicz
Beautiful day. Great hike. As previously stated horse droppings on trail but just walked around. Not much you can do if you allow horses on the same trails.
Whitney Blackwood
We went for star gazing. It was amazing! There was an orator with a laser to point out different constellations, how to use the free star chart, and share lots of knowledge. They displayed some space rocks to view and information about them. Telescopes were set up to view different plants, constellations, and galaxies. There was some things you could buy like shirts, pictures, glow sticks for kids, snacks, etc. They even had a froyo truck so you can purchase froyo. I recommend bringing a chair. All the astronomers were very knowledgeable and very helpful. They took their time to explain what you were seeing and made sure you saw what was in the telescope. They were excited to share their knowledge. Great for a date night or family night! We will be going next time they are in town again!!! Posted a few pictures of the space rocks. You'll need to go to view the rest and learn about them. See you there!
Brittany Talal

I really like coming here, its free to enter and there's a few trails to explore, you can pretty much go in whenever you want, the past few times I've biked about 8 miles from my house during the summer at around 3 in the morning, got to hike to the top of one of the mountains and watch the sun rise before the crack of dawn, memories worth experiencing can be made here
