Reviews of N.P. Dodge Park
Jennifer “Jenny” Finn Sutton
After the last flood they took out the playground equipment and the sports fields to the south side. There's still a little picnic shelter for events like birthdays and whatnot. Less to do, draws different crowds, still has a walking trail and some wild life.
Leah WK
Great place for a short or long stop. The trees are really beautiful. Explore the main path or walk to the river
omcdude64
A fun place to take the dog for a walk or let the kids run and play or launch a boat into the Missouri river. Very busy place on the weekends. Also, the campgrounds and soccer fields are permanently closed. I took this photo today of the pond in the park. The pond has dried up due to the lack of rain.
Brady Werkheiser
The campground at NP Dodge Park is your best option if you need a quick spot to camp for the night. Most campgrounds near Omaha require a reservation 24 hours ahead of time. You’re right on the Missouri River with lots of space to walk around. Tent camping (no electric) is $10 for the night. The park lights were on all night which prevented an “immersive” experience. Facilities were decent with showers and toilets. Florence had a few good options for dinner plus a pharmacy for supplies.
John
They might as well close the park down they took everything out there ain't no soccer fields
Jim McWilliams
This is a futbol (soccer) park with a marina and ramp on the Missouri River. Lots of Canada Geese and ducks. What many don't know is that it is a terrific place to photograph bald eagles during the migration time in fall and spring. Love this place.
Hailey Gillespie
Lovely place to visit! Please know this used to be a maintained camp ground and educational area, but that is no longer maintained, only the marina is. Still a beautiful place and if you’re willing to get past a bit of overgrown grass you can find some still very clear and well used trails to the riverside! Many families fish there for food they rely on as well, please be peaceful and don’t bring rowdy kids or animals to their fishing spots. It’s a very peaceful and calm place that deserves respected.
Ali Blumer
This has been one of my favorite parks in Omaha for 30+ years! Love all the wildlife that you see. Great place for families. My grandson loves the playground!
John
Nice spacious park. They are fixing up a lot of things from the flooding. No more camp ground, but still things to do out there.
joe Cool
Nice park ,well taken care of , marina, camping grounds boat ramps soccer feilds , cricket feild, fishing, hiking through the woods
Sem222 boess
Very good! The baseball field and tennis courts are in good condition. Could use some grass though to make it more pristine, but with the flooding it's understandable that it hasn't grown back yet.
Teresa Cotant
NP Dodge is a great place to go!
Leroy Jones
Bike trail was great! Trail always clean.
Frankie MacGregor
I hike here often and hunt morel mushrooms here in the spring. Always find em. The woods have slowly been disappearing due to some project the city is doing. Still pretty but a lot fewer trees than it had five years ago. Great venue for outdoor weddings and great place to camp as well.
Linda Johnson
Sort of lonely. Not like it used to be...so full of life! Miss the children playing on the playground. Miss all the people fishing. The campers...all gone! The flood destroyed it all.
Steven Hudson
Quiet place in Omaha. Enjoyed my stay. Would stay here again and recommend. For the most part you will easily find a place to stay without needing reservations unless it's on a major holiday. It's $15 cash per night and all you have is electric no water or sewer.
Darcy Jones
Went to watch my nephew play baseball. The fields were well taken care of and clean.
karl graff
Nice place to walk just off the river shady paths if you liked
David McBride
Great place to stop and enjoy the river.
Margaret Martinez
The lake part is dirty. Trash every where, beer cans and bottles, needles.. not sure why people can't pick up there trash. Most people keeping every single tiny fish they catch... Which means if you don't know the rules then you probably have no fishing permit
The Reviewer
There have been loads of improvements done to this park. I feel like the direction of it is going well.
Nick
Great place to keep the boat and new, clean facilities! 2022 update: Gas should be available again this summer finally!
Adam F. C. Fletcher
The best park in Omaha, Dodge Park has play spaces, forests, waterfronts and much more for everyone! For history buffs, Lewis and Clark likely camped at this location in 1804. The park was opened in 1930 by the City of Omaha, and continues as the best developed park in the whole city!
Lynn Carda
So sad what the floods did to this place. It's kind of depressing looking now seeing the field the way they are. We still come to fish every once in a while. We also bring the boat to get on the river usually a couple times a year.
David Mason
Pretty good place could use a little sprucing up but given how the river tends to flood every few years it might not be worth the money.
Tyler P
Large park with necessary amenities. Large soccer fields, private marina with access to the Missouri River. Nice camping sites.
Great area to feed ducks and geese!
Lynz Johnson
Lots of wonderful wildlife to see! I love seeing beavers! River to fish if youd like. Birds and deer. Lotsof picnic areas. Camping spots. Trails & woods. Marina area, boat docks, ect. Love this place!
Scott Nechkash
This place is making a come back in a huge way........so glad after two floods that one of Omaha's largest parks is alive and well......
Rufus Cotton
Great set of hard working young men...loaded me Magnolia Tx...to unload me in Omaha Nebraska...2 thumbs up...they did that
Shirley N.
The floods over the years have taken a toll. The city would do well to help renovate this wonderful park.
Deneen A Glass
Fair ffacilities. Mixed patrons should keep you alert but multiple activites, grills, firepits, boat ramp, fishing, playground, trails, etc.
Flooding may be a concern during heavy rain periods due to low ground and Proximity to the Missouri River.
Marie L
The road in was disintegrated, but it has a lot of flooding. Nice open areas. Good place for a picnic.
Kimberly Jones
Beautiful to go walking, jogging, or even a drive. I wouldn't go camping here if it was the last place left, the fees are extremely high, showers are cold, and staff is rude and judgemental when they should be polite, respectful and, understanding.
Michele Kennedy
We went out to check out the river. It is so much lower than when we were here in September. Also they have cut all the trees down in the camp ground and look to be releveling it?
Carlos Hernandez
Very nice park, easy boat ramp to launch. Lot of open space.
Jake (Jakepapi)
Kinda boring but the road leading to it is by far one of the best in omaha for cruising :)
Cole Sargent
I think it flood every few years. Definitely felt a little trashy and rundown. Lots of good open spaces.
Cherylmarie None

heather tomczak
Love the river walk. Wish they would maintain the grass over growth in some areas;/
Adrian Fuentes Sanchez (Adrian X Fuentess)
No too much around w some much part of the park being closed off. But still an alright area to bike.
