The Camp Crystal Lake tour was awesome! Our guide Mike was friendly and energetic with a wealth of knowledge about the camp and the filming. Very cool to see some of the scene locations first hand and discuss the finer details. Worth every penny. And yes they have bathrooms on site.

Cute tour. I mean I think you have to be a true true diehard fan to enjoy walking around the camp and looking at cabins and hearing stuff about the movie. It’s mainly the first movie obviously. I think for the movie they should have the audience pick which Friday the 13th to watch only because the first movie wasn’t the best. But the tours worth it for an experience but I didn’t find it to really be anything toooo tooo special

This is about the coolest place I've been to in quite awhile. While a little pricey, it was definitely worth it! Especially if you're in to all things Friday the 13th where the original was actually filmed. Tour guides had so much information about the movie that even a horror buff like me didn't know. It's also quite beautiful this time of year. (Fall). Definitely worth it. #kevinbacon #campcrystallake

Is it expensive to get in? Heck yeah but the funds go to the Boy Scouts groups and directly back into the camp. It was a very well organized tour of Camp Crystal Lake and memorable for patrons. Beautiful location, they keep this place well maintained. I’m all about any person or organization who works so hard to preserve a piece of the natural land.

My wife and I did the Crystal Lake Tour today at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco where Friday the 13th was filmed. We did the afternoon tour and it was a great experience. If you're a Super Fan of the Friday the 13th series then this is the place you want to visit! You'll go on the trails where all the scenes took place in the first Friday the 13th film, you'll get a lot trivia, back stories and experiences from the staff. They have a gift shop on site as well. If we get the opportunity to do the tour again we'll definitely go to the evening tour! KI-KI-KI-MA-MA-MA!!!

Awesome place. I’ve never been but there’s legend from the local townsfolk that a young boy by the name of Jason Voorhees drowned in the lake here back in 1957 and is nicknamed “camp blood” because of the horrible things his mother did too 2 counselors the following year in 1958. She blamed them for the drowning of her son. Said it was their fault because they weren’t being responsible and should have been watching him. Her horrible acts continued in 1979 but she was stopped by a surviving camp counselor. Legend has it that Jason saw what happened to his mother and returns every year on Friday the 13th to punish whoever returns to the camp.

First rate boy scout camp with many structured activities leading to rank advancement and merit badge in addition to free activities. One week sessions run between first week of July through second week of August. Must be registered BSA to enroll. Troop registration typical with individual registration in Provisional troop if offered.

Went on the Camp Crystal Lake Tour and it was awesome!!! Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was spooky and fun. COVID-19 precautions were taken seriously. If you're a fan of the movie, or horror in general, this is a lot of fun!!

It is an eerie camp with a great pond. Good camping arrangements if ya wanna rough it and forget about all the nonsense we fill our lives with. Get cold, build a fire and feel it's warm glow.

I love this summer camp. I went every year when I was a scout since it was so great. Loved the staff and the camp is really well organized compared to all the other camps I went to. The food is so great. I wish I can just go for the food since it's that great. Would highly recommend to any scout to go.

I actually went here for the Friday the 13th part 1 filming location tour. The tour was excellent and you got to see all the places that were in the movie. This is also a boys camp that has a lot of water themed activities and looks like it would be a lot of fun. Cell phone service is iffy in this area.

My husband and I came here for their Friday the 13th tour and it did not disappoint. We came during Covid-19 so there were restrictions but I think that actually made it better. For one, the groups are smaller and you stick with your "pod" of people. The tour guides give you plenty of time to take pictures and share movie trivia with you. Of course, you must check out the gift shop if you're a fan. Overall, the experience was well worth the drive and I highly recommend it.

Great camp, I love this place and I would go as far to say it's one of my favorite places in the world. My troop comes here every year, this is THE best camp to get merit badges and have fun.

It's a little weird having a major utility right-of-way cutting through the camp but you sort of get used to it. Cabins are nice, bathrooms are okay, BSA has one of the better outdoor camps in NJ here. Scenic ride up, too.

My troop goes here often for campouts but never for summer camp. The place is very nice and almost like a second home. However, the reason I give it 5 stars is because of the ranger. Ranger Tom is extremely helpful and very good at his job. He keeps the camp running and dose a great job at it

Beautiful camp and overall great experience. The archery was a nice touch and a nostalgic throwback to summer camp back when I was a kid. Bring a sweater! It got super chilly around the camp fire on the first couple of nights, as you might expect in the early days of camping season (we went in late May.) One major drawback is that we encountered a murderous matriarch on the Friday night we were there. My wife was forced to decapitate her with a machete she found on the shore. She had never killed before and as you could expect she was very nonplussed by the whole ordeal! We were hoping to get out on the lake in the canoes over the weekend but unfortunately there were not enough canoes for everyone so we settled with a game of paintball in the woods. Overall I would highly recommend, and I hope we have another chance to spend a weekend at the camp. This time we'll be sure to get on the canoe list early!

Went camping with boy scout troop here..the cabin we stayed in was fairly new and clean..bathrooms where heated but could use a daily cleaning by staff the bathrooms were a little gross at times. Camp staff was nice and easy to deal with. Firewood was nowhere to be seen nor were we told about where to get some.

We got drawn for a Friday the 13th tour, it was so much fun walking around and seeing where they filmed the first Friday the 13th movie. All employees and volunteers were so nice and fun. Definitely worth your time to enter these contest because the public IS NOT allowed, p lease respect the Boy Scouts of America and don't try to sneak on.

This scout camp is as good as it gets if you're looking for a rustic experience. You won't find 5 star hotel accommodations but your scout will find an excellent opportunity to earn merit badge and cut loose in nature. It's a transformative place for young people. Don't expect cell service or email.

Fantastic camp! Very clean and comfortable! Staff was mostly younger adults. I always got the feeling I was being watched, though. I randomly saw a guy in coveralls walking around the camp. I didn't get to do drugs or have sex.

I love Nobe. It has great atmosphere and the staff were helpful and kind. They came and got a timber rattlesnake in our campsite at 11:30 PM. There are bears at the camp however they do not harm any tents unless they have smellables in them. Great Camp. Plan to return next year and eventually be on staff!

Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is a Scout camp. They have a ton of cabins,lean two's & decks for tents. The cabins are heated for the winter. They have a large lake for fishing & canoeing. There are a ton of hiking trails to explore as well as an Nj fire tower. We had a great time & definitely will be back. Great place to back into nature.

I went to this place for 2 weeks back in the summer of 1987. What a good time it was! My 2 friends and I were from Boy Scouts Troop 109, Hillsdale NJ. We were in the 'Provisional camp' I remember a guy named 'Augie' ran the whole camp and we drank "bug juice" in the mess hall. Who could forget that recording of the bugle being played over the camps loudspeakers to wake us up every morning at the crack of dawn, lol.

Needless to say I was quite disappointed by the staff here. First of all, the people here seemingly had some very grotesque injuries all over them. I have NO idea why they’d not try to care for their staff. They also never spoke, only growled and groaned. The food tasted strange, and the head of the staff kept following me with a machete, and wore a hockey mask. I left as soon as I could, and I most certainly will not be coming back.

Watch out for a giant hockey faced man, a Ms. Voorhees, and a "cha cha cha" sound that pops up suddenly. But, its a great camp now though but it wasnt so great in the 80s. :)
