Reviews of Hudson River Park Trust
One of my 'Go To" places when I'm in the city. On a warm summer day, hopefully you'll find a bench under the shade of a tree. Enjoy the cool breezes by the water. Enjoy a cold drink you brought. People jogging, walking, surfing on a skateboard. If you time it right, you may catch a nice sunset.
I love this place. You can relax, do exercises, play sports, ha e a family pick Nick, have a pre wedding meeting, bike along the Hudson River, get the view of spectaculars Sunsets. It has places where you can have some drinks and eat. It is a safe place, Lot of cultural activities. It is a lace that every visitor to New York and every local must go.
Its a nice area to sunbathe on the grass. If you walk further down you can just watch the sunset, Take pictures and just enjoy the water, wind and slightly cooler air
Beautiful peaceful place for chill, run, to get coffee and watch the river or play with dog on grass and smell blossoms trees and herbs. Thank you, everyone who is working hard to build and keep this place safe, clean and so NYC.
This place is beautiful! Here you can run or bike while enjoying a great view to New Jersey! The sunset from here is one the greatest, I can recommend it a lot
Great place to visit. Specially check out the little Islands. Its a great place with live music and food. Great place to spend time with friends and family
Fantastic parks along the Hudson river. Very well kept and fantastically clean. There is a variety of parks to use including playgrounds. Well done to all the hard work the Trust and volunteers put in. It really does show.
This has become an NYC treasure. I am there at least once a week or more. Almost too much to do from kayaking to sailing, etc. Lots of places to eat, drink, and be merry. See attached pics of a Queer Urban Orchestra concert on the Christopher Street pier.
There was a railway running through there. Now it's a beautiful walking path with lovely sculptures, also gardens with flowers.
Went here recently for Salsa in the park. What a beautiful time and what memorable moments we made! Great vibe and crowd. Also pride friendly!! However, Nothing beats the view on the water, the breeze, the people and music!! 🎼🎉 …
Run, walk, picnic, play tennis, basketball, skate, bike, skateboard … there is room for all along the Hudson River Park Trust. Summer sunsets are spectacular. Grab a spot on the grass just below Canal Street and enjoy the view. It never gets old.
Wonderful place to visit. The park is busy during the weekend. When the weather is nice, just bring a blanket and enjoy the peace. Keep note that the grass is full with poo of the geese
A lot of nice glas skycrapers, on the Hudson side... rhe vessel..a big skupture.. with a lot of Stars, you don't climb because it's forbidden. 😶 …
We had a great time on the party boat. It for real was a party on all 3 floors and on the decks. Great view of the city from the Hudson River. It was a good time!
Along the Manhattan waterfront this park has a great lawn available for sun worshippers as well as just relaxing there are also occasional events very Pride friendly and a Beautifull view of new Jersey as well
We were completely baffled by the Hudson River Park! Wonderful view of the city, quiet, and great vibes. Lovely.
Great view friendly staff, food is good too.
I was down here to go on a cruise but while I waited, before I got on the boat, I must say the atmosphere was pleasant. There were young kids and older adults all in good spirits ready to party. There was no drama and the streets were clean. I was able to appreciate that. What I was able to appreciate most was finding some free parking 1 or 2 blocks away. Otherwise It would have cost $30-$50.
Hard to find public restroom.
Almost no nearby parking.
when you need space to walk do not hesitate this is a perfect place to take some time and think.
Great open space to check out right off the water perfect for walking, photo shoots , a day with the dog or just a nice little picnic in the grass area. I love to come here and read , take amazing photos of the nyc harbor and take part in the weekly activities like free Kayaking, sailing and so much more!
Loved this pier! Phenomenal views to gaze at Jersey city & NYC especially during sunset. Great view of world trade center, statue of liberty, empire state building, the new floating park "little island", e.t.c. big apple statue is here as well! I really enjoyed my time here.
Very beautiful waterfront park. Great place to take a stroll, jog, ride your bike, or sit down to read, relax, and/or take in the views. Very beautiful views, especially at night, you also get to see the One World Tower clearly. Also this park is great and offers various photo opportunities.
Also, it is very clean! They also have tennis courts which is great, they’re free and no reservations required just based on first come first serve basis.
I loved it. My BIGGEST CONCERN is that it is quite crowded now and many people chose to go MASKLESS. We all still need to be safe before everything else.
Went on a chili day for a softball tournament. Field was pretty big. Multiple games were held. Scenery is beautiful. Hard to find anything to eat once inside.
Amazing views, close to restaurants in case you get hungry.
I walked through here with my sister Alicia from Chelsea Market going to The New Worlds Trade Center. It was a long but very nice walk and the was plenty of seats and water fountains, they even had fountains for dogs. I enjoyed the walk and I will do it again soon. I have so many other places I want to see that I never knew was in NYC. This is great for me because I won't be traveling overseas until April 2020.
For those interested in outside activities, there's no other better place than this. You can walk, walk your dog, jog, run, run your bike, sunbathe or simply sit quietly in one place and watch the nature and birds, occasional ferries and helicopters flying by. In the evenings during weekends free movies are screened or live music. The place is wheel chair friendly.
Place to relax. Jog if you can. People watching. And great scenery.
What incredible views! The buildings at Hudson yards, south Manhattan and along Jersey City are all visible from here.
One of the best places to walk or ride your bike.. Situated along the Hudson River there are benches a lawn and other sites to see while you walk. The Irish potato museum and war memorials as well as the starting of liberty to view.. In the summer there are volleyball courts and the dog park with dogs to see.
Beautiful park to go for a run, bike ride or just to walk around. Some great attractions in the summer with free kayaking on Pier 45 Tuesday to Thursday from 530 to 7pm and on weekends. This is one of the best free attractions in the city! After kayaking you can head over to Grand Banks for a drink and a great view of the sunset!
It’s a beautiful Side of New York
The View of the river across New Jersey it’s a spectacular and it’s also a nice side of walk, running & biking definitely unique from New York for the rest of the world.
It's a very nice and safe biking walking and running area. Some benches to sit and enjoy the view which is great. Pier has a trapeze school and is a good place to visit as well
Fun!
Relaxing!
Beautiful!
Great place to take the family for a fun day!
Nice park but when it is cold here is colder!
This park is great, it has beautiful views, there are piers along the way where different activities are going on, or you can use the empty large spaces to do your own activity. I go there every week to do running and exercises, and never get tired of this park.
I LOVE THIS AREA, THE PEOPLE ARE INCREDIBLE, THE SPACE IS CALMING, GREAT WAY TO SPEND A LITTLE BIT OF TIME WITH THE FAMILY, OR WALK YOUR DOG, MAYBE EVEN HAVE LUNCH WITH A LOVE ONE
Very nice promenade for running and walking!
It's a good place to escape from the city for a while.
And a great view of New Jersey!
The trip was not what I expected, first of all the staff did not do well directing the passengers to the boat. Some of them did not know the way themselves. Then we were standing for hours before we actually got on the boat. OMG, the food that was sold on the boat was very lousy. The DJ needs to mix his music. I can go on and on, but I will not at this time. Overall it was boring and lousy.
This place is so chill rite after sunset. I walked up and down each side. Lots of couples and families just enjoying each other's company. No riff raff. I will return.
If you’re a runner, mini golfer, want to catch-up with friends on the tennis, basketball court or skate boarder there is something for all ages. Or if you want to take-in the skyline, sit read a book or walk the dog. Strollers are totally welcomed. Curtest NYErs, and tourist can be found.
When I feel a strong desire, I will walk from bed Stuy to Hudson river of Manhattan. This particular day I was wanting to see little island and I stumbled up to Christopher Street Piers, exhausted because this particular day was hot and low and behold, I saw little island.
Best experience ever.
This is hands down the best park in the world. Nestled along Manhattan's west side snuggled between Manhattan's West Village and Manhattan's historic Hudson river, the thin, windy park is a gorgeous place to spend any beautiful day.
The views are stunning. You can see the S of L (Statue of Liberty, trying to get this acronym trending), Hoboken riverfront, Hudson Yards, and\Midtown Manhattan, Financial District (including World Trade) as well as the luxury housing of West Village and Tribeca.
This park is great to run it. It's great to walk in. It's not, however, great to play frisbee in or do any activity where you're going to destroy the tranquil ambience that West-siders love and deserve.
To see is to believe. Start just south of Meatpacking, fuel up at Waffles and Dinges, and drink a Frose at Brookfield Place. If you still have energy, walk all the way South to Battery Park City and Battery Park.
10/10.
Love this place. If you want to avoid the madding crowd of NYC and want to find a place to sit back, relax, or to take a run or an evening walk; this us the best place to visit. And the sunset above Hudson is magnificent.
Enjoyed my walk from Battery Park all the way to Eastside Park on the Hudson. Lots of sightseeing along this walk.
Beautiful Riverfront Park, shade trees, grass, dog run, Pier 25 is a complete play area for kids, beach volleyball, miniature golf, swings, etc.
Just gorgeous. Great place to run, bike and walk. Tennis is around there for free. The place is very well kept and not too crowded. Gorgeous views to take pictures of and to enjoy. Just watch to not block runners, there are a lot. Also dog friendly place as long as they’re not on the lawn areas. There is also a dog park
Good for walking, sporting, and running. Many options for sitting on a bench or laying down on the green grass.
Nice long walking space for joggers, walkers, dog walkers, bikers and skaters Near pier 51, with good views to Jersey City. Despite next to busy boulevard, it's not as noisy. Very busy on weekends.
The views from Hudson River Park are Stunning! You can see the Freedom Tower...The Edge...Little Island...Jersey City and so much more...day or night this Park is Beautiful!
It's good experience excellent views the NYC but the cruise line they should have a tourist guide telling us wish bridge its wish and all the zone of New York
One of my favorite places in the city. Great for walking, running, and cycling
Came here during the "Submerge" event. My son loved it, because he was able to touch, experiment and participate in each tent or category. Also, like a scavenger hunt where you had to participate in every tent to collect stamps (while doing this, they learn a great deal about Marine Life Science). At the end of the stamp collection, kids would earn a prize.
There is also fishing and Kayaking which the lines are long for. We'll be coming back every year to learn about Marine Life Science.
The Puppet show was very educational and entertaining, even I enjoyed it. A must visit place for parents and kids.
Great place to enjoy the fresh air and enjoy the wind moving on top of the water. It also seems to have a calming effect on your senses.
Nice park great view.
God bless America and amazing people who is working hard to keep this beautiful place clean, one more time BEAUTIFUL and safe! It's miracle how lovely that place
Awsome place to learn the basics of salsa. It is a an get sweaty on hot days. Great ambient of people. Good music and everyone is in the mood to dance. This park has amazing views.
This is a cool new area in the city..sunny,it lifts my spirit..its open an airy 😎 ..Try and check it out …
Such a beautiful place. With the skyscrapers on the other side of the river and city view on the another side, it is so beautiful and serene.
One of the great assets of the city, a gorgeous park with expansive views of water, sunsets, flowers, plantings, and greenery
An exhilarating experience that begs to be repeated. The staff was encouraging and gave excellent instruction. There were great safety protocols and it was much easier than anticipated.
So relaxing to wander around in the evening and watch the beautiful sunset.
Another nice place in New Year to visit and go for promenades and a lot more.
Nice tennis courts, Little Isle, 5+ miles of views
Nice area for a walk , read a book , watch the sunset , spend a while . Definitely on a great location .
Beautifully maintained and safe running, jogging, walking, biking park along the south Hudson waterfront in Manhattan. Highly recommend!
A great place to visit with a great views, on the night is very cold 🥶, I recommend to go with a good coat during October until summer, if has one of the best view over the river to the city and skyscrapers…. …
Took a boat ride for Mother's Day. It was very nice. In the rain in all. We were inside of the vessel.
Lovely flora, views, stopping points, picnic, read, jog, love NYC.
A great public park in NYC. It has absolutely stunning views of the Hudson, and is overall very relaxing, making it perfect for sunbathing or picnicking. It's not a far walk from Little Island, so if you're ok with walking, visiting both in one day is more than doable. If you're in the area it's worth checking out.
Such a fun place! Right on the water with a view that looks out to the statue of liberty!
Beautiful park with and extended walkway on the bank of the Hudson River. It is perfect to go for a walk and watch the sunset, walk your dog or just relax. Also, you can see the seasonal geese, with their goslings which are eating and chilling around.
It a very nice and beautiful place
Very nice view to the skyline. Don't miss the museum.
Great walking paths with lots to do and see. Enjoy the park and views on the river.
Beautiful place to walk .. by the side of the river .. great coffee spots along the way ..highly recommended walk
The architecture and views In this whole area and surroundings are totally overwhelming. Taking NYC to the next level in the turn of the century . Modern designs and definitely top of the list as an up and coming area to visit for tourists and fellow New Yorkers looking to unwind and relax . Lovely !
Went here for kayaking over the weekend. It was a great experience. I went at Pier 26. The kayaking is free everyone! There are multiple places in the city where you can kayak for free. So, make sure you do that!
Best outdoor park in NYC. Best in the summer. It's a bummer that it's not more friendly for dogs. But if you run, bike, or just like lounging around this place is for you
I love this place because this is only place where u can get lot of things together. Like jogging, walkway, cycling, kids playground, river scenario, sky scraper, new jercy&Manhattan , sleeping on the grass, cruises. Etc
This was an amazing day and this was a well kept park. There were no bumps and no shady biz. Everyone was enjoying the beautiful scenery and each other's company. I have to say I didnt feel like I was in NYC for a moment, rather some distant far off land of peace and harmony!
Peaceful place. Nice place to visit to eat is The Frying Pan on 26th Street on 12th Ave in the park was pleasant. Fish & chips were tasty. Will definitely go back.
Great way to spend a day. Plenty to do for all.
We just took a cruise boat from the location...nice and clean place, and great view.
Its spotlessly clean, calm, peaceful and everyone minds their own business
Such a great place to chill and enjoy nature. Great for family photos and picnics.
If you ever want to get a ride on the ferry, you should consider booking from Hudson River Park. I got a good ride with friends touring the city with nice views of the Status of Liberty, the Upper Bay among others. It's always very peaceful and beautiful at night.
You will feel at peace with your soul and heart.
Amazing public space next to the Hudson River. Great for walking, running, biking, playing with kids,... just relax and feel releived from the crowd for a while
Is very fast go to new york (new jersey -> new york) 10 minutes and them take a free buses , go to the important places!
One of NYC's highlight places to see. Interesting and original kind of city's master pieces. A little park suspended on the mushroom legs. The view is catching the eye
A very reactionary organization. Only after bicyclists got killed did they install bollards. I don't trust them.
We went to the skate park which was very well maintained. Nice walking paths along the river. Public bathrooms.
A great little place for an afternoon stroll. Plenty of things to do with a skate park, mini golf and gym all near by.
I was there in the last summer and it's highly recommend. There was an "salsa" event where people just dance. I could feel a good vibes.
Of course I love this place it's walking distance from my house it's in my neighborhood as long as the weather is nice I can grab a book and go copper squad in the grass undisturbed
Great place , don't understand the structure but cool place to take pictures and view is amazing !
Great views of the city, you can see Jersey City across the Hudson. Beautiful in the afternoon to see the sunset, you can take some great pictures in this area.
Very nice enjoy the city and river view togetherVery nice enjoy the city and river view togetherٍ
A lovely hidden corner of the west side water front with views of lady liberty and NJ. Cool shady breezes on a hot and muggy Father's day made for a delightful picnic spot.
Visited that place for the beach volley court and it was awesome. Much recommended for sunset time
Totally clean and safe place. The views are satisfying. Everyone in there zone.
This is a great place for anyone into outdoor activities. It's a hidden oasis in the city not that many people know about. It's great for biking or running. I would highly recommend all city residents to visit this place for free fun.
Wonderful place to visit and lots of activities to do for all ages.
Such a great ambiance.. the ship and the crew were amazing.. a great time!!
Great place to take a walk. Even sunbathe? Lol I seen lots of people doing so. We sat on the benches near the water to take a break and enjoy the nice sunset.
Beautiful place to job and hang out! In summer there is free kayaking around! Pier 25
Love heading here for a Sunday walk :) Also great to listen to Melt's song West Side Highway while strolling
Great views at night time...
You could get run over by joggers!!!
Nice place that overviews the Hudson and the financial district (and - far away - you'll see the Statue of Liberty).
The atmosphere was tranquil!
Great for late night walks!
Such relaxing environment!
Nice Clean Riverside , Sitting And Grass Areas , Dog Park , Boating And Kite Flying
The Frying pan was awesome!! Food was great staff were wonderful.
Love this place. Can be here forever...
This is a good way to get to ground zero very picturesque with good photo opportunities
Free tennis courts in downtown Manhattan. I couldn't ask for more. There is one hour limit but it's completely worth it. Be careful, balls can easily go into Hudson river.
Great for sun Bathing and running even just to relax .
Beautiful pier, restaurants, mini golf.....what a beautiful place
The soccer fields here get 5 stars because the city re-purposed a shipping pier. Although there are epic backdrops of the World Trade Center and the Empire State Building, be prepared to feel exposed to the elements with this facility on the water. The rooftop field is awesome, and the field on the lower level manageable. The viewpoints for fans and families are restricted and the restroom facilities dated, but Pier 40 is a fun place to play soccer.
Really nice place to sit and enjoy the view
Awesome outdoor space very relaxing
PIER 45 @ West St and W. 10 St. Beautiful Vista, good restaurant, public seating under a canopy of trees, clean public restrooms and long pier for a nice stroll.
Winter or Summer great safety arge place to walk, walking dog, walk baby, meditate, ride. Your mind and thougths get rest. Enjoy sunrise, dawn or sunset.
Great location to hang out, good for a board walk stroll. Or just sitting idling and watching the water or get some exercise in
Took a blanket and hung out the under the trees for about an hour to cool off, get some rest and recharge. Lovely
Clean safe and fresh air!👌 taking my brother out there this weekend to explore the area!
My Iaido school is on 10th street Joffery Dance Studio 🎙
Clean air, beautiful views, and the extraordinary public kayaking program run by Downtown Boathouse
Very good place to walk around, relax, pratice sports and have some meal!
Well maintained, great for running and walking. Relaxing to watch the sunset and still see the city.
Amazing
Great view of Freedom tower, new jersey. Free kyacking, a restaurant
Beautiful view of the Intrepid and the river. Relaxing spot to grab a quick bite or go for a jog. Public restrooms are a bonus as well.
The ambiance was great and the service was ok but the shank i had was not tender it was hard to chew
A great way to spend an afternoon 😊 …
Nice place for people watching and long strolls.
What a great experience flying with these guys. Go have a trapeze lesson. Expensive but worth it.
Very nice. Little dog run there as well and extensive exercise bits for those who want it.
Great playground for kids of all ages.
Beautiful expanse of park open to the public. Great for the whole family- kids and pets included. Multiple playgrounds, skate parks, restaurants and dog parks along with various piers. Stunning sunsets and view of the Jersey skyline.
Returning home from a cruise was great. Welcome home to the hustle and bustle.
Free kayaking on Pier 26. Your pants will get wet though and you need to know how to swim.
Loved the salsa dancing and the views at sunset were amazing
Even though two weeks ago Friday was a pretty hot day in the shade I found it easily bearable but then again I like hot weather. We were able to get seating for three just past the bathroom and a completely shaded area by many trees it was great.
Such a nice place to relax and exersice
Amazing park to relax, the views are beautiful
Great place, stunning views.
I love this place. During the summer all the gay men and boys sitting or laying down in the sun. Catching some rays and running around in speedos or short - shorts and the shirts off! But I come here during the spring til the late fall walking from Crown Heights to Hells Kitchen. Its the only place I feel safe, since there are video cameras every so many feet. Its just the place to be to do activities, like free kayaking. Also lovely city views during the day and night!
Great for an evening walk.
Great place for a walk and seeing the southern part of Manhattan.
Love this area in both day and night. Bathrooms available and a nice restaurant as well.
Nice really nice place for visit or kayaking little bit of everything to enjoy a date.
Amazing sunsets
Fantastic view of buildings shimmering in the night. A walk along the river is a must.
Hey Pier 46, it's the middle of summer July 19. Why have you been only unlocking half or none of of the tables lately?
Good view of NYC, perfect for a relaxing walk
Perfect !
Good place in New York downtown for evening walk..
Beautiful view, great locations for taking pictures
A beautiful region that reminds you that New York is more than noise and hustle. A call river front with grass. A great view of New York icons to including the statue of liberty, freedom tower, and the empire state building to name a few.
An amazing view accompanied with an endless walking path, and plenty of areas to sit an relax, enjoy the view, or a beautiful sunny afternoon.
In addition, mostly everyone was considerate by wearing mask and maintaining proper social distance.
As mentioned before a great place for a morning, afternoon, or evening run, a bicycle ride, or enjoying a walk with a four legged friend.
Good place for jogging/ running/ walks/ exercise/ small picnic/ photo shoots / just to enjoy a good view on a sunny day. Not much crowded at most of the times
Very close to the subway station
Many food joints nearby
Scenic beauty
Good for walking dogs
Windy due to river but refreshing for sure
Great place to stop take a rest and relax
A great place to enjoy the city! Clean, beautiful, food, entertainment. What more can one want?
Beautiful and modern Park with such of amazing things to do in the Piers
easy spot for picnics, sunset watching, attempted stargazing, and the occasional outdoor concert. public restrooms nearby, too.
Great place to walk and workout.
Beautiful place to spend summer days.
Nice beautiful views of New York and New Jersey on the Boat cruise and from the Pier in between Hudson River.
Pure luxury park. I came from France where parks are really different, i love this as much!
It is amazing to see the view all along the park. It never gets old!
Walking, jogging, rollerblading or biking, it always looks grandiose!
Nice place for the sunset views, a run, or happy hour drinks
Got to go out onto the pier. Beautiful view
Good park to exercise and take jogs in. Saw a geese family and baby geese. The geese can be seen walking the grass around the afternoon. Nice place to relax and take children too, theres also parks that turn on the water in the summer and very safe.
A really nice place to relax with the views of the city. They also have free fishing lessons for kids :)
Nice for walk run pets evening fun
Amazing place with AWESOME EVENTS for the whole family. Joyful, fun experience every time! Look up on Google for the events.
Very clean and beautiful views. Nice to sit and read book. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Great scenery.... Super crowded though now that people want to be outside and it is nice. Bathrooms are gross tho..... At least the women's are.... The doors are broken, there's a lack of toilet paper, some one left excrement on one of the toilets. Just UGH!!
Great views, mini golf, and grand banks restaurant!
Nice area and great view!
Great place to workout and do yoga. It's a beautiful view of the skyline. They have an area where you can just relax, eat snacks, or enjoy the view with your friends. Food is available as well as Kayaking lessons which are always fun. Overall, great experience and will be returning. Definitely a place to check out if your in the area.
Love this public space on the water.
Had a cool outdoor concert in the evening and nice views of the Hudson and jersey
There is so much to do along the Hudson River. Parks, restaurants, gorgeous walks, outdoor art, activities for the whole family.
Great destination for family fun and entertainment. Lots of green spaces to enjoy and soak up the sun.
Amazing park along the Hudson
I went here at night for the first time so it's bound to be a glowing review. The sights were great, the view of the sunset over the water was just amazing. You see people sitting, working out, biking, running, eating and drinking (no public intoxication please).
A variety of parks. Something for everyone.
Great views of Jersey and the river traffic on the Hudson.
Nice place to take a walk and site see
Relaxation away from hustle and bustle of life ..calm..except ing .. atmosphere....yeah my neighbor bothers me ..so I go here ..I cruise my electric bike down ..nice breeze. A times close to nite .and sometimes on summer days in day time . they have canoeing looks fun ..i wish this was a beach ..if only the water was clean..once I saw a person come up from the water near the running path. This was a nite very strange ...but anyways go for peace of mind good place to b alone or with ur love
Amazing place with amazing view of world trade centre ,statue of liberty and queens also Manhattan in the back.
Walk, run, ride your bike on this beautiful stretch of well manicured landscape. The scenery is quiet, yet serene. I mostly come here during the summer sunset to soak in the views of the Hudson River. Sit back on the lawn or look beyond the pier. It's a great place to experience the quietness, plus no mosquitoes!
Had such a great workout there. Then we played some tennis. We had a great time. Very beautiful park to go.. it's a must do...
Great Area and beautiful sites
When we need to get away from the urban hustle and bustle fast for a beautiful river view escape, this where we go. The sunsets
are breathtaking, and there is so much to explore all along the Hudson. There are awesome parks, playgrounds, skyline views, food kiosks, and all kinds of recreation facilities.
Great place to view. Parking is a little pain. So prefferd to go on the bus
Went on a boat/ship ride, it was awesome. Ship was 3 floors, Roca tone restaurant in the Bronx put it on, also check out Roca Tone Restaurant in the Bronx, on White Plains Road, food is immaculate.
Beautiful kids park that is over the water. It has a couple of obstacles and a water play area.
Love th boat ride. sitting on the boat drifting on the river watching the sun set is so awesome
Nice service provided to coworkers at peaceful site.
Great place to kick off your shoes and sit and relax. It offers a great skyline view of New Jersey. If you are planning to visit this park, just a quick note, this is a gay park. So, don't be in total shock when you see guys kissing and holding each other. But besides from that, it is a very nice park to walk along the pier and enjoy the views.
Beautiful location for a boat ride around the harbor! Iconic photo shots.
This park is amazing. It's so clean and nicely designed. Perfect place to walk dogs. If you want to relax just sit by the river and feel the wind. There is also an area designed for sketching.
It’s a lovely park with a clear view of the river into New Jersey. Clean with benches along the way, bathrooms, fountains, and even casual dining.
The Hudson River and parks are beautiful
It's a great place to walk along. Great sights great scenery. It's a far cry from what I grew up in I've lived here over 59 years used to play here as a kid up and down the Hudson. From Chelsea to the village Looking for an adventure and whatever came our way. Go walk enjoy.🇺🇸💪 …
i love Hudson River Park and feel so grateful that i live in walking distance. Some days going there, the beautiful parks along the river and being on the water, just saves my sanity. It is one of my most beloved places in NYC.
Very nice and clean park!
One of me and my daughter's favorite places to sit and think about life. Although more people are showing up, it is still one of the most peaceful places in the city.
I love this park along the river. So much to see and do! Perfect for everyone. Green grass, piers, concerts, places to lounge, food. Lots of beauty and nice people. The star, the Hudson River and seeing the boats and if you are lucky, the stunning sunset. Free kayaking in the summer, too.
Cool playground near the river. There is a nice splash pad so kids (and grownups) can get a little refresh from the sun, plus your usual playground stuff (slides, swings, etc). Nice for a day out in the city.
Pride day was amazing after that so called parade. Hanging between Washington Sq park to Hudson River made it great. However, they need to leave all the bathrooms open.
Nice views of downtown Manhattan and Jersey city
This is such a pretty area to take a walk! It's great for leisure and exercise. I'm definitely bringing a yoga mat next time. I think a picnic would also be a great idea. There are trees and dense grassy areas perfect for sitting. Wherever you settle, you are guaranteed an excellent view. I recommend walking your dog, biking, skating, and bringing kids! There doesn't seem to be quite enough room for a good game of frisbee, but there is definitely kite-flying potential. Lovely spot! Plus, it's FREE!
One of the greatest things about the city. You can bike, run, walk or skate up the entire westside. You go through parks, past restaurants, bars, piers, under the West Side Highway. Its a really great way to see the diversity of the island.
Beautiful, clean, refreshing ! Low-key peaceful !
Lots of joggers and walking traffic on path but for the most part lots of quiet spots to relax all the time. Well kept and punctuated with clean piers with various spaces for sporting activities and sitting. Plenty of places to picnic and people watch. It is less accessible say than The Highline or Central park so considerably less tourist traffic.
2 playgrounds at either end. Both are clean, newish and well designed.
This place has one of the best bike trails in the city, you can start far up in the Bronx and Ride straight down to the end of Manhattan (Beginning tip) by bowling green. The fresh air and view of New Jersey is gorgeous and adds tranquility to you soul.
Absolutely stunning. My favorite place in the city. I go here three to four times a day. Paradise found here in the Big Apple. Highly recommend!!😎🏄♂️😎 …
Great way to get from Jersey to Manhattan. Easy commute, plenty of routes, not too crowded.
Very nice place to relax and enjoy the sun
Nice open green space with food near by!
Awesome. A great place to chill out and relax. Plenty of benches to sit. I was cycling and decided to take a break. Glad I did.
Great place to workout and do yoga. It's a beautiful view of the skyline. They have an area where you can just relax, eat snacks, or enjoy the view with your friends. Overall, great experience and will bereturning. Definitely a place tocheck out if your in the area.
A very expansive park with lots of greenery for sunbathing and picnicking. Dogs are not allowed on any grass area which was a real bummer for my sis. The bike path is a very attractive feature here. However, the bikers almost never yield to pedestrians. On a sunny day, I witnessed as pedestrians stayed put because bikers were going alarmingly fast.
I appreciated the public restrooms- I saw two such buildings, but one was closed at the time. The one I went into seemed fairly clean for a park restroom.
There were numerous vantage points for photo ops across the river, and of the Freedom Tower. Overall, a nice park for being active and basking in the outdoors.
I love my Barrio Inwood in NYC
This is “The Central Park for Locals.” Great place you ride your bike, run, walk or just enjoy the views. Each year it gets better with new additions. Great part of our city living.
Having lived in and around NYC for well over 60 years I remember correctly what a walk along the Hudson meant. What it was then was run down and at times scary, thigh it has its own charm. Now you get a world class experience in what a river walk in a major city should be. Clean (relatively), beautifully landscaped and refreshing in a way you don't expect. Kudos to all the people who have made this possible.
Beautiful area for a walk along the river
A great place for walking, biking, sun bathing, people watching, playing, picnicking, anything!!! Love this park and all it offers. You can travel by foot or by separate bike path the entire length of Manhattan and see/do so much in between. Plenty of clean public bathrooms is a huge bonus!!
The best views and playgrounds.
A very relaxing spot in new york
Fun place for afternoon walk, and magic in the sunset basking in golden lights and shadows ow Jersey.. a bit breezy so bring a jacket even if it feels warm in your neighborhood, skating bikes and other vehicles are present, and some runners are really fast so one has to watch out, just to be safe...
The park is a great opportunity to enjoy a nice walk along the Hudson uninterrupted by cars with a beautiful view on the business district and New Jersey. As of May 2019 there are still a lot of building work happening but the South section from the 25th is lovely with trees and plenty of locations to rest on a bench. The place get really crowded on a Sunny day but this is still a great walk or run location.
Five stars because it’s very calm and quiet as it’s supposed to be. But unfortunately I like parks where I can blast music. The majority of people are the older folk here (60-80s) and families and couples.
Nice place to work out, walk, or just enjoy the summer!!
I absolutely love the Hudson river park. It's so varied and exciting you can spend a whole day walking from Battery park all the way to Harlem...each section is unique but the star is always the Hudson river.
On occasion, I've enjoyed the free kayaking and played tennis there... explore, discover and find your favorite part of this marvelous gem.
If you are in the mood for a boat ride go for it or for museum enthusiast's, you can visit the Intrepid museum...in the summer months, dining al fresco at various locations is a fabulous treat, be warned...prices are not reasonable.
Beautiful scenery the drive can be stressful but when you drive through here it seems like God blew you a kiss and your stress just we seems to diminish for a few. In the summer time you see people frolicking about riding bikes, skating, jogging, taking walks and enjoying the view.
Excellent condition. Well cared for
Nice place for photos
Lounge on the grass or seat down and enjoy the view
Great place for a picnic and to watch the sunset.
The westside river park is a welcome refuge from the city. I love the bike path running all the way down Manhattan. This makes for a great day's ride for those energetic enough to pedal.
The park in midtown gets a little sparse, and the noise and grime from the city is impossible to escape. but overall this is a great feature for Manhattan.
Relaxing, tunes , fishing
Very nice place.
Well kept, well maintained, beautiful parks along the West side of Manhattan. There's a bunch of large cement blocks along the bike path since terrorist attack last Halloween, buy what can you do. Great area to run, bike, walk, lay out on the various patches of grass. Great views too, especially One World Trade which looms over the pathway enjoy this gem of New York green space
Great place to relax & meditate look at the Hudson river landscape.
Great park!
A nice place for a picnic and great scenery.
Great place to jog, walk, sit and read. Visit whenever you are around this area. Bring your family and friends for a breezy walk.
Beautiful walking area
Great place to walk around relax and enjoy
If you want some peace of mind and tranquility I highly recommend you take a stroll by the river by the Pier. Enjoy the beautiful tree flowers, the birds chirping. While you're there to find them how about a beer some snacks but just simply stroll through the old fashioned boats.
Great for summer entertainment venues
It's just beautiful walking along the water, watching the people and the boats. They've done such an amazing job with the landscaping. Would love to hear more live music!
Not exactly a building but the whole Hudson River Park. Great place to jog/run/bike/walk or relax. A great place. Not as crowded as Central Park. Just the way I like it. The park can get crowded during peak hours because of the museums or over the weekend. Overall, a wonderful park to jog.
Harlem river park is looking amazing except there's still homeless people living on the ramp going into the park from Madison ave n 135th st its a small lil space because the homeless made a cardboard house there but on the 139th st side getting into the park ramp is clean no cardboard box home's there but other then that its beautiful i can't wait umtil its fully constructed so i could ride up n down the bike path with my wife n son
Beautiful walking path along the Hudson River
Walked from one world observatory to the high line & it was a great experience, fantastic regeneration with bars, cafes, dog park, tennis courts etc. Being with friends from Long Island they were very impressed too, the walk was so casual I forgot I was in the city that never sleeps!
Lovely bike ride or walk non stop from downtown to uptown. Many parks in between and water activities too.
Only that the bike road is uneven and bumpy on the upper west side of the trail to GWB.
Nice place to take a walk and take in the views. Parking and restaurants on the walk also
Insanely pretty. If this is what NY tax dollars are used for - more power to you. This Riverwalk is amongst the most amazing thing I've ever experienced. Thank you
Boat ride definitely worth it
Too hot and crowded but okay I guess
Every time I come to the pier I have a blast. Whether its for pride or just to hang out to look at the amazing view. Hudson river park is a place to come relax and soak up some sun. Its also a romantic place to come for a date.
Very easy to get to. Next to the Circle Line. Many places to sit. A lawn to sun bathe. Restaurant to dine sometimes open. Would check online before arriving if one us interested in eating there.
All the park areas along the Hudson River are really nice! Much better than years ago! The only complaint is that everyone is out to enjoy the beautiful day and yet they've got their music blasting loud and not considering others! Too many radios playing 'island' music and islanders are terribly inconsiderate!
Really nice walk. Especially in the winter sunshine. Buzzing area with plenty to see.
Hudson River is sight that deserves 5 stars.
Great views! Can get a bit congested at times, but it’s great if you can catch a lull!
It's a beautiful, easy to access, park system along the Hudson river in the biggest, best city in the world! It is so great and the people that live there are so lucky to have such lovely facilities and so many family friendly, free activity.
This park is amazing and only gets better as they add more services and open space. Plenty of seating and pedestrian walkways. Only problem is the bike riders can get aggressive when trying to walk.
On a beautiful day it's always nice to take a walk, so that's what I did. I enjoyed my walk and did a little sight seeing as well.
Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the scenic view
I loved it! so many people running and walking by! we can see the life moving! awesome. The view is really beautiful, you can see boats and people fishing there, people walking with their dogs.
Went here for pride. Had a beautiful relaxing colorful day
I love how clean and nice the area has become . I also appreciate all the activities that the trust has been providing in the last few years. This is a fantastic location for all (or at least most of) your leasure activities. Especially in the SUMMER!!! 😱 🚣🏾♀️🚴🏾♂️🚴🏾♀️🚵🏾♀️🧗🏾♂️🧗🏾♀️ 🚵🏾♂️🎼🎷🎺🧺 🥤🍷🥂🍾 🍿📽🎬💻🌃 …
It's a lovely modern park development with views of the Hudson River. There are Citi Bike stations all over, so it's easy to get around. A bit of a walk from any subway though.
Beat area for a picnic and just great relaxation 💖 …
I consider this one of the city's best attributes. Throughout all the seasons, visitors of the Hudson River Park are sure to encounter spectacular views, events and activities. Maps, restrooms and restaurants are available along the route for your convenience. Bring your camera, and a picnic blanket for the long summer days.
Nice relaxing place
Here's a dedicated open space that has a great view of the river. Perfect for walking, activities, small picnics, reading and enjoying the outdoors away from the hustle and bustle.
very nice view. it is by the river you can see NJ from this park. If you do not have time to go to sea beach , I will recommend you to go to this park . You won't find any difference. Even this park it better than a sea beach.
Nice place to see. Great outdoors.
I walked this stretch from Battery Park up to 96th St. The view of the water is so relaxing and all the side activities along the water front such as mini golf, tennis, eating and drinking, make it that much better.
Gorgeous in the summer, and the fall as well. The piers and the Park on the Hudson River by Christopher Street are a staple in downtown New York City. They hold lots of history many walks of life have been on them. In present day food is solder there, and parties are held people have picnics, watch the river, go on dates, or just go for a walk while the sun is setting. They fixed them up and redid them way back in the 90s they looks completely different but they will always have an iconic feel about them if you were traveling in New York City definitely check them out to get a little piece of history.
Got on the Hornblower infinity and had an amazing time!!!!!! Very lovely views of the city. Off the boat at the park there is a wonderful dog park and all sorts of places to sit with friends or on your own.
My favorite place to play soccer and football is Pier 40. The energy on Saturdays during the Spring & Summer months is contagious. Many soccer leagues and football leagues call this place home.
On the rooftop soccer fields you get amazing views of One World Trade Center during the day and night.
I would love to see the city invest some money and love into this place. It has potential to be a multi-sport complex with various uses.
If you love to play soccer I would add this on my list of places to practice and play with a league.
Free events available Salsa on Thursdays
Nice to bike, the rooth is just for the bike, u can do a brake to fill the river & keep all the way up
Amazing, large, beautiful outdoor space along the entire Hudson River front
I took a boat from Manhattan across to NJ. I had a very comfortable experience, and it was very easy to navigate. Times and directions were posted in numerous places. The staff was very friendly. I didn’t see one problem with the service!
My favorite park in downtown! I try to jog there every week from TriBeCa to Chelsea, then I'll do free kayaking(the best!) if there is some time left. It's absolutely beautiful along the river overlooking the jersey side and it feels great to have some nice breeze in the summer. The tennis court is also free for players, but it's usually crowded over the weekend.
Man oh man, this park made me realize there is way too much traveling and sight seeing to do right here in my own city...
Excellent crowd lots of people doing picnics people dancing salsa everyone having a great time while maintaining social distance in small groups
Went to catch some sun. Even though it was very hot last weekend. Quiet place to just chill. Bring a blanket or large towel and lay out in the grass. Bathroom close by, also a food concession.
Good views. Constant maintenance to keep it in shape. Bathrooms are located every mile or so. Dog waste on the walking trail is a serious nuisance.
Thr Hudson River side is the place place to hang in warm days. The bike trail gives easy access to all the parks and restaurants. Great place for a chill picnic date
Hudson River Park is a delightful oasis in the city. Once you've hiked this far west and crossed the highway you're home free. A great place to take dogs or go for a jog, the terrific views of the New Jersey skyline are made even better by the fresh air coming off the water. Sunsets can be quite spectacular here; note to self next time you're looking for QT with your sweetie. Summertime concerts are a bonus. A great place to escape the hustle and bustle.
Hello folks welcome all new people and eyeballs and new beeeeeeeeeeeeeeez thanks for reading my post on post nice place to run jog go sight seeing watching birds reading a book playing on the phone getting some air eating talking and so on so if you are near here please come on down get a peace of mind untill then peace
Cheapest mini-golf in Manhattan at $5 and a decent course (although I've never seen the water feature turned on). Their summer program of free activities is unbeatable. We tend to hang around the downtown piers which had kayaking and outdoor gym classes this year. Love coming here on a sticky summer's night for the river breeze. Wish there weren't so many people lighting up splifs at the end of the piers.
Pretty peaceful. Not sure if the Intrepid tour was open or not but the view from the pier is outstanding!
excellent view and quiet perfect to go calmly read a book or why not exercise. I saw many people exercising that day obvioslly was a sunny day. I'd like to visit at nigth the park close at 9PM.
Walk it from end to end on a nice warm sunny day and you'll understand why I say it's beautiful.
This is an excellent park. You get plenty of sun throughout the day and a great view of the sunset in the evening. This park is hardly ever overcrowded. There is plenty to do!
good place to get some exercise
Cool views .
There is a dog park in front, you get to see the cruise ships coming in and out (we cruised with Hornblower ).
You see all the joggers running about and if you cross the street it will land you into the most colorful village.
Fantastic park to take in some views or have a picnic. There is always something going in too lots of events - open air cinema, yoga etc. Highly recommend and worth a visit
There are So Many Cool Trails that lead throughout the place and some lead to the Pier with some Amazing Places of Fine cuisine.!))
You'll Love it Here.!)))
The view is beautiful and the many resting spots are quite enjoyable. Some music in your ears and this waterfront is the perfect backdrop for a run.
Excellent spot: walk, eat, play, sunbathe, sail, bike and have a nice relaxing panic. Enjoy any day at the river's edge and watch the sunset.
Great place to relax, walk, do some running and enjoy the view.
Went there to make out with my girl and hug and squeeze each other. Nice time. Clean, really nice vibe. After hours too.
Ideal place to relax and have a drink by the water.
Was good to be outdoors walking and dining again. Walking or riding a bike by the greenway by the river is always enjoyable.
It was nice area to walk and had really pretty views of the Hudson River from the pier area, nice place to have lunch or just relax
Gorgeous park....especially at night. You can see the Statue of Liberty and Jersey City from any point of the park. I wish I had a bike and ride up along the West Side Highway to George Washington Bridge. It would be awesome.
Lovely area to walk or eat. Playgrounds and restaurants near the 9/11 Memorial and Freedom Tower. Free kayaking in the river on Saturdays ( weather permitting).
Probably one of the best views in the city, however, they can make it even better if they bring in more shaded sitting spots and icecream / juices / smoothies trollies along the way and some cellphone charging points as well in the sitting areas would make it perfect!
It's a great location for picnic . They have events all summer that you can take part in. There was a salsa class going on last time we went.
Every time I visit this River it feels the connection with soul
One of the cuter parks in the city and with a view that is unbeatable. I don't think the carousel is still active, but the skate park is always active. Sadly Hurricane Sandy badly damaged the mini golf course nearby and the volleyball courts and they've been slowly recovering. Since this is a private park, they're not quick to repair issues (like broken basketball hoops) but overall it's a really nice park.
Nice area to go and clear the mind. Good way to spend a day, especially when it's nice weather.
It's kinda nice for a walk if you've eaten dinner in the area.
Otherwise it's full of joggers and the sun is punishing. It's best at dusk on a mild day for a walk.
Nice walk for any day of the week specially at the end of the summer. Safe and you'll see lots of joggets. Great view of NJ.
One of the best parks in New York City. It is the longest Waterfront Park in the country. The esplanade provides a great place to catch a sunset. HRPK offers a wide range of activities such as kayaking, mini golf, carousel rides, basketball, soccer, tennis, trapeze, dog parks and multiple play areas.
The scenery is awesome but its to many people jogging they will run you over. So u have to find a spot and stay.
Very peaceful, friendly area. Love to watch the boats on the water. It has been recently redone and has a grassy are for sitting and stuff. Looks so nice.
What a nice place, beautiful this time of the year to walk around
the east river park is a great place to chill and study, catch up with friends, or even throw a frisbee. I've been living in Brooklyn for 10 years, and come here often to relax.
Smooth bike lanes go on for miles and miles. I rode from Battery Park city to the GW Bridge and back, with my 10 year son.
Love this area to run, walk, do yoga, or simply sit down and relax. Great views and the people are all on the same page. Nice, cool and relaxed. 🤗 …
Great walking here. Great sights.
Delivers a different view of the city rather than blocks.
Hudson River Park alone represents of some of the best that NYC has to offer. Besides the free kayaking, free access to tennis courts, miles of bike/running paths and plenty of people watching along the waterfront, there are countless special events such as concerts and movies to enjoy. Outside of all of that, it's all beautifully landscaped.
If you need to beat the heat, this is the place to do it. You have a beautiful view of the Jersey skyline and absolute peace.
I love the various parks along the Hudson in Manhattan. My favorite, however, is Riverside Park north of 72nd Street. It's just beautiful. Picnics at sunset will impress even the most hardened souls.
Beautiful place lovely
Nice views, good activities for kids, including a small water park. Climbing walls, etc. Beach volleyball event was going on. Nice park in a nice location.
My favorite spot in NYC. Great skyline views, nice breeze during the summer. Lots of activities going on here.
HRpark is the strip waterfront park from West St/Westside hwy great for summer weekend run with awesome breeze and surrounding views activities like pier 84 kayak & SUP bike rental, food stop ,rest room sit back relax with background of intrepid war ship which retired and currently serving as sea air space museum, down to VIP heliport at 34 the at ,Chelsea pier at 23rd St many indoor recreation center, skate park and carousel, keep heading down south soccer & trapeze school pier, tennis court ,minigolf near Canal & Houston and down as boundary to battery Park some may like great view of international marina between south & north cove and much more that the HR park will offer check out summer on Hudson events movie under star , music concert andany more
.
Awesome place to find some peace within yourself 🙏🏻💯🙏🏻💫 …
Beautiful view ... Good spot for family and friends to relax. There is also a jogging track which anyone can use, also few good spots with awesome views to relax.
Nice views and place to watch people. This is one of the places I always find myself going to.
My favorite place for reading books in summer.
Is a good place to enjoy and go biking 🚴🚴🚴 who is willing to come with me there and have fun together there 🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅👍👍👍 …
Great park, lots of variety in what is available. The separate bike lanes are tree-shaded and make commuting the up and down the Greenway very pleasant. Ideal park.
these New York green spaces get better and better!
It’s so beautiful! I took a dance class I’ve always wanted to take and was amazed at how beautiful it was
Coming from Seattle we know our waterfront, and the HRPT are to be commended on a job well done in designing multi-use areas in old industrial zones. Hard to do this safely and attractively and they've pulled off both and managed to provide public restrooms (Seattle take note)
Lovely and fantastic, but many areas where long-running construction forces walkers, runners, and bikers, going both north and south, into a single narrow path.
i'll meet you at the end of the world
on the tip of reality's pier
overlooking the ocean of confusion,
lost dreams, and all memories
◇
i'll meet you at the end of the world
where we can be alone
because that's when it was best
when it was just you
and just me
and we didn't have a care in the world
except for being with each other
◇
i'll meet you at the end of the world
'cause let's face it
we're all ready here
and the only fear i have
is that i won't be with you
◇
i'll meet you at the end of the world
but let's face it
i'll meet you anywhere in the world
anytime, anyplace, anywhere
because that's just how i love
and though you haven't shown it
i believe, deep down, that's how you love too
◇
i'll meet you at the end of the world
overlooking the water
where there's a sense of peace
where all the noise goes away
where we can hear the sounds
of the wind through the air,
the thumping of our hearts,
and of all of the thoughts and emotions
that remain unsaid
◇
i'll meet you at the end of the world
because if i can't meet you here
than where else can i meet you?
what else could it take??
how many more lifetimes of unknowing,
unfinding, undancing, unkissing,
unloving will it take???
◇
i'll meet you at the end of the world
it's where we first met
it's where we'll meet again
it's where i'll stroll down to the end of the pier
without a hope, without a prayer,
without any belief left inside of me
◇
and it's where i'll find you
waiting for me
at the end of the world
Nice views. Would b perfect in the summer
Loved this place..Actually that was my first time over there.I never knew this place even existed because i dont really go to the city unless i have business to attend to.Now that i know its there i will definitely visit more often..Am even thinking about exploring the city a bit more..lol.
What's not to love, you are surrounded by the Hudson river, with a view of the sun, plenty of sitting space to rest, the diversity of people who are enjoying the nature it has to offer.
I come here every summer for Sunset Salsa on the Pier at Christopher Street. I love the open air dancing and the great DJs. Come for the free salsa lessons at 6pm!
My partner and I do a lot of biking. This part is buetiiful!!!! I usally enter the park on the west side of 125th street. Take it all the way to the village. The route is tailored specifically for bikes......while traveling, you are in constant eye catching views of the Hudson River. If you get tired, there's plenty of benches, or grassy areas to take a break. The park is clean, safe, energetic, and the safest way to travel to the heart of the city. Plenty of police, so obey the bike laws, have coursty and have FUN......!
Excellent city, great river, excellent views, great views, make sure you go on a river crusie, great way to see New York, America and Canada are great places to visit, lots of things to see and do, the people are friendly.
Beautiful water front park. I believe it's about four miles in length. There are various places to sit and relax. Also a good place to people watch.
The greatest park in NY! AND the government does not support its operational budget! Can you believe it??? So become a friend and help support this amazing privately funded resource for all of New York.
A great place to get out & take a walk. The views are spectacular.
Great little river side oasis on the west side of the city. Amazing sunsets. Could use some more shaded seating for midday.
My special place to relax and get some fresh air. Always tranquil.
Wonderful river front park and walkway. Great for people watching and getting some fresh air and downtime.
Hudson River Park is long 1 of my favorite in New York City. It runs from Battery Park City to...
It was a run down pier that housed wearhouse from far far ago. When I lived in the West Village on Bleecker and 10th Street several decades ago, it was a place that I use to go sunbathe and walk miles either Uptown or Downtown from the Christopher Street Piers. From here, you could see the World Trade Center and New Jersey.
It was the era when New York City had character and was known as the City That Beverly Sleeps,
It's a great place to go and enjoy the view and relax your thoughts
Free kayaking is a super enjoyable activity in the city, and hope that there are more opportunities like this around other rivers!
Nicely maintained, for NYC.
Is a great place to relax and enjoy the view. Its clean all the time.
Lovely place to have a good time
Nice trainings spot on the river
A beautiful view!
Hudson Greenway is a great place to picnic, bike, jog or even commute to work. It stretches most of Manhattan on the west side from the trade center up to the Bronx, approximately 11 miles.
Great views along the water and plenty to stroll about. Hudson River Park runs along all the piers and has gorgeous views of the NJ and NY skyline. On the grass and gazebos sometimes there are jazz performances. Expect pop up art installations, the latest from Yayoi Kusama who had a showing at The Whitney. Lots of people having romantic walks, teenagers practicing their dance moves, and sunbathers. In the Summer, there are outdoor movies not to be missed. Order a pizza pie and make it a date!
The HRP has some of the most varied options for any park in NYC. The bike path connects you to everything from playgrounds, to soccer fields, to kayaking, to fishing. They have amazing family programs too so bring the kids out and enjoy some of the best views of the Hudson River to be found.
I enjoyed the cruise to nowhere but the surrounding area and walkways to the boat are dirty and smell unclean.
Great place to workout at or just chillout and relax. One of my favorite spots.
Hudson River Park is a fantastic outdoor space. At Pier 96 during the summer months, Manhattan Community Boathouse provides free kayaking on a first-come, first-served basis during the summer and early fall season.
Awesome place to chill out at anytime!
Pier 40 and 45 is the place to go to. Nice walking/jogging and Bicycling area. Bicycle track goes all the way to the Brooklyn bridge
Beautiful view. Quiet and peaceful. Even at night, it's safe and pretty active. A lot seating.
I was not aware that this beautiful park was so close by from the famous “The High-line” I like the different activities that this park offers; bowling, golf and other more things.
It was ok, people were smoking, even though there were signs, No smoking. People who work there was smoking. Other than that the shops were good, a little dirty.
Got to do out the pier. Beautiful view
Great space on the river w easy access via bike path. Safe and clean for the most part.
I would've given them five stars but when I went during an early part of the day the service me and my husband received sucked. During the evening the service is much better.
Nice place for holiday!
Living in Midtown West has its perks, and also it's own fair share of pains. For one, you're always surrounded by the ever-growing horde of tourists. If you like to run, Central Park is always an option, but you have to run through an army of tourists to get to the running lane. Luckily, there is the Hudson River Park on the west side, that is an amazingly chill place to run.
The Hudson River Park is, as you can imagine, along the Hudson River. From 59th Street, all the way down to FiDi, you can enjoy an amazing view along the Hudson while running at your own leisurely pace. Gone are the large groups of people walking incredibly slow along the sidewalk. Instead, people come here to sunbathe on the grass, play sports, or just hang out along the water.
For myself, I like to do a couple 5K runs a week along the river. That usually means running from Midtown West to TriBeCa. The runs seem fast because there are actual things to look at, and you get a decent breeze from the waterfront as well. Round trip, my run would be around 6-6.5mi, which is a great way to keep in running shape during those dreaded 70 hour work weeks.
For those who don't necessarily like to run, there are basketball and tennis courts, as well as all there is to offer at Chelsea Piers. Hudson River Park is a great place for people on the west side to get a quick run in, or even just for a chill afternoon away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Fabulous picnic with friends. Great to take in the sun, Hudson River and view of New Jersey!
Definitely go kayaking...its free and awesome staff. The snack bar near mini golf has yummy burgers!
My place for peace and meditation in the city of hustle and tussle.
Definitely one of the more nice parks in the city. Very comfy and usually not packed so you can actually find a spot.
The Hudson River is a 315-mile (507 km) river that flows from north to south primarily through eastern New York in the United States. The river originates in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York, flows southward through the Hudson Valley to the Upper New York Bay between New York City and Jersey City. It eventually drains into the Atlantic Ocean at New York Harbor. The river serves as a political boundary between the states of New Jersey and New York at its southern end. Further north, it marks local boundaries between several New York counties.
Great to enjoy the summer, biking, dining or just sun bathing!
Excellent ride, you don't get tired of seeing so much
Nice view of the Hudson. Plenty of seating arrangements.
Nice place to enjoy a walk by the water or just sit in the park..the views are amazing.
It is a nice walk to view the Hudson River over into New Jersey. Plus I'm a student at the Sailing Academy so I'm there about every week
This place makes my day. Great place to run. They clean and keep it open even right after snow storms.
Went out there to see old friends and Associates of Mines that I haven't seen since the summer time enjoy the viewing of the boats going down the Hudson wow getting a life or two and you withhold acquaintance
A gorgeous oasis in the heart of the city with a calm and welcoming environment.
Great boat party!
