Reviews of Carl Schurz Park
I feel truly lucky to live near this very special place. The view of the city, the smell of the water + the well maintained yet wild gardens, are completely intoxicating. There's a sense of community here too. A great place to read a book, walk a dog, play a game.
Beyond beautiful, I love this park, it’s great for kids, dogs, and much more. I came here with a 4 and 6 year old and they loved the children’s park. I bring my dogs here and they love the “big dog park” and “little dog park” it’s great for picnics, and I highly recommend! Sometimes it’s crowded on sundays + Saturdays but on weekdays it’s perfect!
I can not get enough of New York parks!! Plenty of sitting areas to rest and every step you take there's something else to look at... I well have to come back again with a full battery for more photos. The park was well kept. You can tell the people here care for this spot.
This park is so wonderful. So many spaces to soak up energy. Basketball courts, playground, dog parks, run path, space on the grass to layout, and benches that overlook the water. They keep it clean and well grown!
Carl Schurz Park is a nice neighborhood Park on the Upper East Side. The flowers are in bloom and it’s rather picturesque this time of year.
Hidden along the East River you can find it off of 86th and York. Lots of walkways with views of the river and if you walk up to 88thst you can get a nice view of Gracie Mansion. The new mayor took down the fences so there’s a clear view of the historic mansion that’s home to the NYC Mayor.
Dog owners and their furry pets love the park as it houses 2 nice sized dog runs. Plenty of park benches, so grab a coffee or an ice cream and enjoy the people watching.
One of the best places in New York, whenever I go there, I feel like being in my own heaven garden. I have taken so many photos there, especially of flowers (over 100 different types), already fit for an entire book. The planned renovation of the park would be great. However, there is a serious problem in the park with pigeons, nothing against them, they are also God's creatures...nice to see them if in quantities corresponding to their natural scavenging but currently their long term massive human feeding (mainly same person coming each morning with a huge carriage loaded by pounds of bird feed) resulted in an alarming overpopulation. Try to pass the prime walking park area approx. 7 am and you will see real scary Hitchcock scenes. Each pigeon releases from the air or on the ground two pounds of droppings per year full of deadly bacterias that can cause serious lung problems in adults, children and pets (dogs). NYC should clearly define what the public space is and how people should behave in it, accompanied with severe fines and/or evictions from the park for those who recklessly endanger the lives of thousands of other park visitors.
Very pretty at night. Relatively well lit. Doesn’t really connect to anything specifically, but it’s a nice open space with plenty of benches and a small dog park.
This picturesque park, partially hidden along the East River, is one of the city's best-concealed secrets. A stroll along the promenade provides beautiful views of the river, the Roosevelt Island Lighthouse, the Triborough Bridge, Randall’s and Wards islands, and, of course, Gracie Mansion, the 18th century mansion that serves as the Mayor's official residence.
It’s an Upper East Side park. So it’s comparatively clean and safe, although not entirely so. I have a big dog and they have a fenced-in big dog run. I take my dog there several times a week. The community of other dog owners is very compatible with my temperament and, for the most part, the dogs are well behaved, well socialized, and play well together.
Great walk along the east River. Two dog parks, basketball courts, multiple hated playgrounds and public bathroom available. Good place to picnic, bike, walk your dog, and exercise. As of this review there is construction currently happening along the promenade which limits how far you can walk.
It's perfect to found every space you need for recreation!👌 [Kids👶👧🧑, dogs🐩🐕🐕🦺, sports🏃♀️🏃♂️⛹️♂️⛹️♀️, or just relaxing💆♀️💆🧘♂️🧘♀️..💫 …
Beautiful view on the East end near E84th Street. Huge kids playground for all ages.
Love this park. It's my nature escape daily and my doggies favorite walking spot. The dog run is great! The view of thebrelicernis very relaxing and the neighbors take really gkod care of the gardens.
A great park on the Upper East Side. The only real negative is that they don't enforce the cities ban on smoking in NYC parks. The smell of Marijuana permeates through the park and exposes our children to second hand smoke and perhaps a contact high.
I sat by the benches to watch the sunset by the East river , across the river is Astoria, roosevelt island so beautiful.. the mayor's residence is also nearby the 87th st so lovely. Its children safe too many people were working out
One of the greatest neighborhood parks in NYC. Fantastic location for walking dogs, people watching, exercise, picnics, photos etc.
Beautiful small park. Has a kids playground, lawn spaces, waterfront alley, gardens and a Peter Pan statue.
It's small and gets crowded, especially around the playground. The north end is often closed off as well. The park itself has lots of nice paths and well kept gardens with a few small lawns and lots of short stairs.
This is the best park to go take a walk, spend time watching the river, or anything you like. Personally, I love bringing a fresh bagel and a good read to this park and taking in the fresh air. It is a beautiful park and the gardeners really do a great job.
Extremely well maintained park with lots of beautiful gardens and trees. Never too crowded and has nice views from the promenade. Often times a good deal of police presence due to the mayoral mansion being located here. One of my favorite parks to take walks in.
Park has a space for everyone: small children to play on children's gplayground; teenagers and young adults to play sports; small an d big dogs places to have fun; wonderful benches and tables to read and play table games, small places for picnics and sports; beautiful environment, river. You name it -we have it! We all should keep our park clean and beautiful. Thank you to the city!
Evening with friends for a picnic and it couldn’t have been a nicer October evening. Bring a blanket lots of lawn spots to hang out and enjoy.
Took the ferry from Roosevelt Island to Astoria, then 90th Street. The ferry system is completely worth a look, and worth much more than the $2.75 fee. The park is a very nice walk, and includes Gracie Mansion, residence of the Mayor. The photos are from the ferry.
very peacful and nice small park. also best dog runs in here
Very nice views, people go fishing, Water Taxi, Play Grounds, Basketball Courts, two Dog Parks. Summer Time Free Movies Family Fun before the Pandemic, Cultural Fairs before the Pandemic.
Hidden gem of the upper east side. You can take NYC ferry from here to Astoria or to the wall street. Two dog parks, plenty of benches.
Dog park, nice music and great sunset views!
Beautifully maintained park with a combination of manicured gardens, open spaces, and dogs runs.
Such a cute park with great views of the river and beautiful trees and flowers around
It's a beautiful part of the Upper East Side. The park where the NYC Mayor's Mansion is located. Worth a visit anytime!
I love Carl Schurz park. It's always clean, quiet and nice. Perfect spot to take a date or some sushi and eat on the grass or at the tables. There's a kiddie park, bathrooms, benches, small walking paths and beautifully curated flowers and plants. Two dog parks, and best of all, almost no tourists due to how far it is from the trains.
Beautiful park. It has a very nice spot in case you want to read a book, you'll find it close to the 87th street entrance, right next to the Peter Pan statue.
So pretty snd peaceful. Could use a food truck or 2 outside park and better msintained restrooms
Beautiful park! Such a fun walk and they had a beautiful art gallery there when we went.
Do my walks here . I love it. Go across the bridge and im at Randall's! Its wonderfult for exercise or some alone time or reading time by yourself or with your loved one.
Great place to take a walk while eating ice cream. Walk your dog or simply read a book. There is a water view. Nice place to just have a conversation with a friend or loved one.
Soooo beautiful!! The grounds are simply amazing! Creative, perfect. The Riverwalk is a happy place. The nights are beautiful on the water.
Pleasant place to sit and relax. Can watch people, water. Nice garden. Very good place to walk dogs.
This place has an extraordinary view on the east river. It is so quiet you feel like you're not in the city anymore. Another great thing is that it has a good playground for smaller kids. The open space is also a great thing. If you happen to be on in the upper east side you should really go to this place.
Great place to take the kids. Large playground for all ages with swings and slides. Water fountain on in the summer. At the small dog run the kids can pet the dogs. Wake up early and see the sun rise over the water.
Love to walk in this park. Plenty of benches and pretty greenery. Playground at the 84th st entrance is great for the kids with lots of things to keep them busy.
I guess it's alright. Big playground in this part of Manhattan..there are Toys for children of all ages water when it's warm a sand box to play in the entire place is fenced in with one entrance/exit and there are bathrooms for everyone..plus shade and sun as desired
😘 …
Good running spots, good views, and plenty of spots for your pup to leave a poop. Make sure to pick it up because it smells bad if someone steps in it.
Nice place by the river and next to Gracie mansion. Dog park, basketball courts, kids play area, gardens, lawns to pickup on, nice large stairs. Movies on the summer too.
Great place for promenade.
Nice view. Many places for beautiful photo.
Lots to do for the whole family. Swings and proper play park for all ages. Lots of running, biking or scooter areas. Even sunbathing lawn and two dog parks. Restrooms available and water fountains!
My puppy grew alot so we can't really go to the concrete side... Which is mainly for smaller dogs. Mine is 7 months old now but we had to goto the big dog side. Which i really didn't like so much. After a rainy day it's nasty n on dry days so much dust. Get ready to give him a good bath.
Love riding bike along the East river through this section. Stop and see the ships on the working river or watch the tidal river direction change.
A beautiful place to bring the family for a play date...picnic...or juss for a walk...it has a dog park also for big an lil doggies....an the best part its right on the peir....lllllluuuuuuvvvv it😍 …
Really nice park and access to the ferry which is great!
Very nice place to take your baby, dog or just to walk. There is also a really nice view of the East River and Roosevelt island.
This is a great place to take your dogs, kids, or just relax. Amazing views of the river and a nice small dog and regular dog park that are separate. They have composting here and basketball courts as well as a playground. They have free events every so often as well.
Love this place nice and peaceful. Beautiful views
The new renovations are great! Sprinklers are second great for smaller kids . New extra sets of swings, in Catbird playground. the Dog park is wonderful as long as people continue to clean up after their pups.
Family and kids friendly park in the UES, my pups favorite <3
I like this neighborhood park. It is on the East River allowing to rest in different places with varying views. There's usually a bunch of people around so it feels safe. Dog walkers enjoy a small dog area, kids use the courts to play a game and people chat seated on benches all around. Grace Mansion is right next to it and a ferry stop just a few steps down.
So beautiful in the spring! Nicely landscaped multi use park-playgrounds, dog park most importantly, a lovely promenade along the east river. Benches for resting , reading and quiet meditation.
I like this park in the East End because it's a very nice playground for kids and there is a friendly dog park where your pet can socialize with other dog and beautiful view of the river and picnic area too
I was really surprised by how large this park is. It has multiple sections for varying age groups. That makes it really great. They have a really nice size splash pad. There are some things that I wish they could add like an extra spinner pole for the kids.
Just a warning, if you have younger kids that you like to constantly keep an eye on. This park is not the park because it is pretty large besides that it's a great park.
Came here for 4th of July. Nice place to picnic and observe 4th of July fireworks. Lovely waterfront for walks/running.
The park overlooks East river. You also can meet many lovely dogs because of its dog runs.
We had a great time seeing the mayor mansion and first lady
It has a couple of dog parks- one for small dogs and another for larger ones. Incredible views on the East River, Astoria and Roosevelt island
Since I go to Charles Schultz park often it's a place of peacefulness. I love looking out on the river and ever and watching the people walk by with the dogs, riding their bicycles it's just a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by.
To live between here and Central Park has made this year of isolation tolerable!
Nice park in the upper east side. Great for running, picnic, people watching and walking your furry baby.
Delightful slice of green by the river in the Upper East. Benches overlooking the river, dog park, lawns, and an amphitheater make it multi functional.
Probably one of the more underrated parks in NYC. You get flowers, river view, and masonry. Furthermore, there are no tourists here.
When the weather permits 🌅🌆, taking a walk 🚶♂️ or having a romantic picnic with my other half is always time well spent in nature...we are thankful 💖 …
Lots of families, plenty of benches, pigeons, and two busy dog parks. And amazing river views.
Very dog friendly, peaceful atmosphere, playground, and overall nice park.
This has become my "happy place." Everyone seems so at peace and enjoys being in this park. I especially love the small dog park. After having put down my last dog, it's almost like having one of my own again. The people are wonderful about sharing their BABIES and I love playing with them.
Nice small park outside the most touristy areas. Lots of locals and the mayor's house is sitting at the end of the park.
Very nice neighborhood park that is easily overlooked by many due to its proximity to Central Park. This makes it the perfect park for locals. This park has a promenade along the East River, an area for picnics, gardens, play areas, a water park, playground, two dog parks, basketball courts, and more. It is our family park and we go there on an almost daily basis.
Took my children to this park back in 60 n 70s they loved to go almost every weekend. I live in FL now n haven't been back in 22yrs. Going there took me back in a time that I Loved.
I love the dog park as much as the dogs do
Beautiful park right next to Gracie mansion. Sprinkled with babies, joggers and many others who are here to enjoy Riverside views engulfed by beauty of nature.
Nice park area to relax on the UES. Can find people of all ages walking around, lying in the grass, sunbathing or walking their dogs.
Great neighborhood strip park along the water by Gracie mansion
The best park in Manhattan
Beautiful park and a treasure on the UES. Prettier than Central Park with lovely views of the East River, and TWO puppy parks.
I love bring my dog here , is great to get some fresh air, ride bike or having a picnic
Beautiful park with a large promenade where you can take a walk or sit on a bench watch the boats passing in the East river.
Best park in the upper east side. Amazing dog runs and cool activities.
Nice place to sit at the tables with friends and enjoy a meal outdoors. Of course it is bring your own picnic style food and drinks.
Always a great park to visit and Gracie mansion as well
Local watering hole for the neighborhood nannies. Quick play park if you want to let the kids run for a few minutes on your way home but don't want to commit to a more full scale play experience.
Beautiful neighborhood park with a clean playground
A very nice park, where you can have a beautiful sight of the sea. A pet friendly place, with a nice area for dogs to play and walk! Also, it has a playground for the kids and a good area for running and walking. It has a great accessibility for wheelchair and elderly people. There are lots of banks o take a rest! A nice place for taking photos - the park has beautiful landscapes!
Perfect place for your afternoon, the riverside view is beautiful.
Besides the jungle gym for children, basketball & volleyball courts. This park has a small & big dog 🐕 run. Gracie Mansion is located inside Carl Schurz Park. This park has a promenade overlooking the East River, Roosevelt Island, & Astoria Queens. Need I say more about this beautiful park to go & exercise, read, sun bathe, walk your dog, or just enjoy the spectacular views it offers. .... JM.
This is a really beautiful and underrated Park. It's great to walk along the water. So so good spot for running. I enjoy taking time to watch the dogs in the dog runs.
It's a great spot in the UES right on the water. You can run, take your dog to the park, or watch the battle of wits at the chess tables. Great place to relax during the day or share a meal at night. Lots of lighting makes this a great spot anytime.
dog parks! Freaking beautiful landscapes
Such a beautiful park and a great view of the river and of Gracie Mansion! Highly recommend visiting!
Carl Schultz park is great. It has everything. Dog park? It's got 2. Play ground? Boom! Running path? Along the river! Great scenery for your profile pics! Yep! Come on over and spend the day exploring
Beautiful park next to the river. Dope views. Dog park with too much cuteness trotting about.
very nice park. very big park. I had a great time. I went for the mansion they was doing an event for halloween. everyone was so nice and helpful. very polite and made us feel very welcome. the park is very clean. you can take walks. looks very secure. friendly park. lots of people. good for runs or for the kids. I will come back here with the kids to walk around. wheelchair accessible entrance. they accept strollers.
Great to bring your dog.. whether they're big or small. Also the park itself is great for a nice long walk. You don't really need to constantly look over your shoulder because of the added security of Gracie mansion being there. with the park being right o we the FDR drive it's also pretty wierdly quiet in a good way. This is great because right over that you'll have great views of the rest of the city. Great place to bring the family for a picnic and it also has a basketball and additional field.
one of the best kept secret parks in UES.
Gracie Mansion is around the corner.nature at its best.foliage alert.great for strolling and other things
Excellent playground- I used to go there as a kid, and now my nephew goes. Two dog parks- one for big dogs and one for small dogs the small dog run is my pup's favorite place, but there can be some pretty nutty ladies there in the afternoon!
The promenade is a great place for a run, but they're currently doing construction from 89th street, up. The park is lovely, especially during the summer. You'll see many sunbathers here.
Great views, never super crowded even on the best weather days. Two separate dog parks. Will be even better once they finish the construction and allow access from the promenade to the ferry - for now you have to exit the park to East End and walk along the sidewalk and a bunch of temporary steps to get to the ferry
A quaint beautiful park nestled in the UES right along the East River. Complete with everything you could ask for in a park—big dog run, small dog run, basketball courts, beautiful trees, a large walkway along the river (perfect for watching sunsets), sprawling areas of grass, and more! It’s one of my favorite parks in the city. Not as expansive as Central Park but definitely makes up for it with its character and charm! My pup loves it too! Definitely check it out!
I love coming this park. It's half a mile from where i live. So its a good enough workout walking from there and back. Walking up and down the promenade/boardwalk-adjacent situation is cute too. No one will bother you. But also nothing really happens here. Just a chill place to be on a decent afternoon, sitting on the benches, direct view to Roosevelt Island, Long Island City, and the RFK Bridge. All the views picturesque.
This is an amazing park. Loads of space for kids to run around, its super well kept, and there are separate dog runs for large and small dogs. I think a highlight is that the small dog run is on cement and is raised from the walkway, so people can watch the dogs play around eye level. Very unique design. I've been coming here for couple weeks with my dogs and I'm very happy to have moved into the area.
Took my wedding pictures here and it was great. It's usually not crowded and you get great views of the river and the greenery.
Great location on the east side. It's for adults and kids alike. Large area to play, courts for basketball, benches etc. Very relaxing. It is fenced off around the perimeter. There is a walking path along the river on the east side of the park. My family goes here religiously. Highly recommend.
Nice green space in the city. Dog runs are too small for a park and city this large.
My favorite park on the east side, has the most beautiful view of the river and the bridges (can see almost all the way downtown!) A great place for dogs with multiple dog parks and large roaming lawns. Really a beautiful secret spot! And BONUS! It’s never crowded!
Very pretty park, with its eastern side along the East River promenade. Well tended and groomed. Pretty foliage throughout the park. Worth visiting, and taking a leisurely stroll through, or laying out a blanket and having a picnic!
Great place to take children. They have age appropriate jungle gyms for children to climb and have fun. Basketball court and open area to play or practice soccer. Pet owners can walk their dog and two areas to let them romp free in a enclosed run and be with other dogs.
This is an awesome park for basically anything- I've rarely, if ever, seen cleaner grass lawns. Great places to tan, but also spots to sit in the shade. Dog runs, playgrounds, and a cool breeze off the river
It's lovely to walk through the park just before dusk on a clear summer evening. The park is fragrant with fresh sweet early summer blooms, the sound of the children that still linger in the playground sprinkler and the background conversation of people walking their dogs and out on the prominade
Strolling along the east river taking i n the view is just so relaxing and refreshing. I recommend everyone to come and enjoy the park at anytime of the year.,
What a great day for the dogs. They enjoyed everything!
A beautiful park adjacent to the East River. You will get outstanding views of the triborough bridge to the north and the 59th Street bridge to the south as you walk along the esplanade. Springtime is the best time to visit as you will see the beautiful trees with their new green leaves looking vibrant and of course the beautiful flowers in gardens along the esplanade. The upper East side is replete with restaurants of every kind and you will surely have a great day walking sightseeing and eating until late into the evening
My favorite part of this park is sitting on the benches overlooking the river. And it's also a great place to have picnics, playing basketball and jogging. Oh and not to mention the doggie park, for dogs and their masters. Everyone is catered for. Just love it.
Love this oasis in the middle of the city. Has a bathroom and is very well maintained.
This park is more than you think is upon first visit. It has everything--dog runs for both large and small breeds, beautiful riverwalk, gardens, little trails, a nice bridge and more. It's really nice and well kept.
Nice water views, large and with variety of options
It's probably one of the best locations in Manhattan to take photos of moon rising.
It's a lovely park with lots of space for kids, dogs, running, or just waking. They do a nice job with all the flowers. The grass is well kept. The city noise is also muted a bit by all the trees.
Attended a wonderful swing concert, seems very family and dog friendly.
A quaint little park quite close to the Mayor's house! (He never invites us in, Ha! Ha!) The park leads up a short but rolling hill to the walkway that sits above the FDR Highway. Great views of the East River (did you know it's not really a river but is an estuary?) and the northern end of Roosevelt Island. A great park for sitting, reading, people watching, and sun bathing. Worth the visit.
Love this park! Lived nearby for many years and went all the time. It's never too crowded, there's a great promenade with river views, and plenty of quiet spots in the grass to lay out and get some sun. It's always well cared for and frequently hosts local events. Perfect!
A nice little getaway on the upper east side. Well maintained, pretty gardens, two nice dog parks (one for big and one for small). Feels safe and I have seen police drive through the area to keep an eye on things. Really nice view of Roosevelt island and the east river!
The Park location is beautiful but it looks like it needs more attention, more surveillance for sure to make sure people do the right things and follow the law. The restrooms are disgusting and from 6am to the time the park close nobody check or clean or just add toilet paper. Why there are two restrooms and a lot of people in the park and nobody take care of those? It is ashame that right there there is the Mayor Mansion.
One of best corners in New York! You can see the boats on East River! You may get surprised by observing the direction of the river with the tide. This park makes me feel as if I am in Istanbul
Nice park, facing the East River, especially for children below 10 year old. Almost no grass but many benches. Adults and boys can enjoy a basketball court and skating. No bars, and none selling drinks and snacks. Nevertheless crowdy in the weekends (room for some business in the food sector.
The dog playgrounds here are awesome. Whenever I feel down a bit I go here to see all the dogs playing with each other. Such a good mood booster! And the park itself is quite nice
Lovely park with long promenade overlooking the river and plenty of benches to admire the view. Dog parks for small and large. Children's play areas. Beautiful gardens to stroll through.
Nice Park. Basketball courts in abundance, open areas for kids. Lots of benches to air and relax. People skate and scooter. Nice walk along the river. Great for families. I highly recommend.
Beautiful landscaping, plenty of green space to sit, read, or walk; though there are few spaces for large organized activities. Always calm except around 3:00pm when school children come out to play. Running or walking along the river is always a favorite.
Well maintained park with an amazing high-up scenery. There are 2 dog parks for big and small dogs. There is a public restroom and many open patches of greenery to tan or have a picnic. The largest area is reserved for a walkway which borders the east river and sits on top of the FDR highway.
Beautifully maintained park. Beautiful views of the river. A lot of amenities. There's one witch of a worker in the park that will talk to you in a degrading manner if you have your dog off the leash. Her day is probably ruined if she doesn't get to complain about something...
Parked directly outside park in “a legal spot” after the twelve o’clock permitted parking. Unfortunately seems parking passes are used to double park and block you in. Now I can see a parking pass being used to block in another permitted Parker BUT should not be used to block in legally parked vehicle. Nice beautiful park which allows pets! However to be adjacent to City hall with the walls ( thought no need for walls). Just had to share that. However two issues one under the bridge by Peter Pan statue was awesome however drainage terrible so left a lot of standing water. Wheel chair accessible unfortunately difficult and or senior citizens. After was six inches in places! A number of homeless use the bathroom where there is only one toilet no urinal. So line builds up. Otherwise awesome place very nice
This place is one the most attracting places due to it's wide view and it's wide spaces to walk on rather your jogging, having a meal, or just reading books is a absulte calmn place to concentrate at my expierence.
Carl Shurz Park is a hidden gem in plain sight.
great place for a walk with the kids!
Lovely place at the banks of the East River. There is peace and quiet. You can tie hammocks and read peacefully or just stare at the river and the beautiful birds. Views are amazing.
What a wonderland garden and with a waterside boardwalk to boot. Ideal for a walk, a picnic or bring your dog and let them roam in the puppy or big dog pens.
Love to come here on the weekend and just look out onto the East River.
Great park, by the water. Great upgraded playground for kids. Very clean bathrooms. Ferry stop directly below Gracie Mansion.
Nice little park. Has a bunch of little grass/dirt spots to lay out that feel cozy. Great view from the water. Lots of benches and has a bathroom with soap!
The playground is finally open. Perfect for little ones, swings, sandbox, play area and bigger ones.
Dog park, lawn, 2 restrooms, chess, basketball court.
No tourist
And the breeze from the east river.
I love this park. Has everything from basketball courts, a children's play area, 2 restrooms, plenty of space to lay out and sun bathe or read a book, nice walkway to walk/jog and great being right next to the water.
This park offers pleasant views on East River and Roosevelt Island lighthouse since it placed on an elevation above FDR. Benches along the walkway will make you want to sit there for hours, specially on a nice afternoon. Good amount of grass fields in shades and on sun makes it great for picnics as well. During summer there are several concerts and theater plays. Two dig runs, one of puppies and small dogs and other for bigger breeds are a great edition whether you're a dog owner or dog watcher. Although it's not so big and attractive as the neighboring Central Park, this small oasis is great for relaxing and recharging.
The kids love the sand and water exhibits. The basketball court is nice too. Sitting next to the water is so romantic. And they have a dog run there. A male and female bathroom
Lovely riverside park offering great views and ample space for relaxing. Great for a stroll or getting in a good jog/run. 👣 The park leads right into the East River Walkway, which will eventually bring you right by the Queensboro (59th Street) Bridge. 🌉 …
Great park on the UES. Safe, pretty, lots of nature to see and my 1 year old daughter LOVES it :) Also, they have cool events there frequently. Weekends that are nice, packs the locals in, but still fun!
I like this park very much it is one of my favorite parks out of many this park has a great environment to have a relaxed time you will also enjoy the wonderful view here l. I personally like to eat my cookies or snacks here. It’s the best place to offer the type calm atmosphere. I love it
It's a very beautiful and peaceful place to visit. They have dog runs. You can walk along the water or take the ferry from there. There is also a children's playground.
Love this park in my neighborhood. It's a bit of sanity and peace, mostly locals. Dog runs, grassy spots, lots of benches facing the East River, basketball courts, summer movies, art exhibits a couple times a year. A great place to relax!
This is my favorite park in NYC!
You can experience something new in various parts of the park / walkway.
I personally like to sit in the circular garden to write and think.
Great park along the East River. It has something for everyone. There's a dog park. Walking and biking trails. Secluded park areas. Basketball courts. One of the best play grounds in NYC - it is huge with multiple different play structures. There are tons of swings (baby and regular). There's a water feature for hot days. It is very well maintained, and the park goers are all very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this park.
This is an OK park. It’s right on East River In Manhattans upper east side. The only real special thing about this park in particular along with The riverside View is the fact that Gracie mansion is on the premises. Gracie mansion is where the mayor of New York City lives. Overall it is just OK. It’s a quiet area but it’s just OK.
It was beautiful, not overly crowded. Nice space to relax, have breakfast, lunch or dinner on the lawn. Great views and animal friendly. Will definitely go and visit again.
One of the best places to walk a dog or do some running. It has a nice view and adequate scenery 👌 …
Nice park upper east side nice look into the east river calm, great park for kids and a dog walk for Lil ones.
The most underrated park in the city IMO.
Was great before it was destroyed by the mayor, who only supports walls around Gracie Mansion but not for for country. Every single night protestors occupy the park and harass people trying to exercise. It is no longer safe.
It's an awesome park in the neighborhood! Great view of East River and Roosevelt island lighthouse. A small dog park and play area makes it an activity spot for all age group and pet owners
Beautiful little park on the UES! Great spot to hang, check out the east river view or take that long east side walk!
Beautiful park in the Upper East Side right on the water. Lots of space to walk, run, relax and read. The view of the water is fantastic and overlooks into Queens. If you work or live around the area it's a great place to take a mental break.
Another beautiful park in the city with nice views of queens and the river. Very spacious area for people to hang out and get out of their apartments.
UES park and promenade. A beautiful place for locals and visitors. The north end is a welcome addition. I just wish the Department of Sanitation would be more rigorous in their clean up: trash cans almost always filled to the brim.
Beautiful beautiful park where you can see a lot of giant sea gulls
I would always choose the smaller parks over the huge parks. And here you don't get to see so many horses sh***. The park is peaceful and give you a great spot to watch the river. Evening hours, fall months are my favorites.
A person gets to stand above the FDR Drive and get good views of Astoria, Roosevelt Island, and Ward's Island.
Love this park! Clean, lots of shaded areas, just the right size, great neighborhood! Near bus, taxis pass by frequently, ferry boat/water taxi to everywhere!
I love this cute little park. Perfect for dog owners since it has both big and small dog runs.
Great place to walk your dog. Lots of grass and open space to run around. By the bathroom is a water fountain with a water bowl attached for the dog could have a drink as well.
It's a nice park but of course it is because it's the grounds of Gracie Mansion. It's definitely an Upper East Side park—well kept and designed.
Lovely relaxing water viwes with an spacious dog's park and gorgeous views .Perfect to have lunch on a bench or a nap under the trees. Love it.
It's a great safe place to bring my two-year-old. The grounds are beautifully maintained. There are designated places for dogs to run around and get exercise.
Great for kids. Nice lawns for picnics, two dog runs, big and small, and also a playground. Also just generally some beautiful romantic spots on the river.
Beautiful, large NYC park. You can take longs walks through the park while enjoying a view of the East River.
Great place to take your dog or children. You can take your dogs to the dog run. Their are playgrounds and grass areas for kids. It's a great place to exercise or to relax with friends
One of the best parks in the city!
My grandkids had a great time
A great option if you are looking for a smaller park than central. Many playgrounds options for younger kids! The walkway by the water is a must on a sunny day. Don’t forget to pass by the Gracie mansion.
Nature paths, promenade with benches by the East River, views of foliage, flowers, Gracie Mansion (Mayor's residence), dog run, grassy areas to picnic.
Love that this exists in NYC. Stumbled upon it on a walk and have been back a few times. Very pretty and lots of room to walk and or run or relax and look at the water. Dogs and people everywhere but still very peaceful. The only place in NYC to see a butterfly and a bee on the same flower!
This review is mainly to alert visitors that substantial parts of the playground are under construction as of October 2019 - some of the play areas, especially around the swings, needed resurfacing, so this is a welcome upgrade, but parts of the play area are going to be off-limits for a while. John Jay may be a better option (10 blocks south) for the time being.
Very old and run down but always busy because of location in heavily populated upper east side wealthy neighborhood with tons of kids with caregivers. Close to beautiful walking paths and East River promenade, 2 dog parks and Gracie Mansion.
This is the place where my daughter's dog and I both love to walk around in Yorkville neighborhood. Mayor's residence is on the north end of the park and it is generally open to public on every Monday if you made reservations one or two months ago. If you live near the park, here is a popular place to watch July 4th fireworks.
Amazing scape point in UES. The park was very beautiful flowers and the view for the river in astonishing. In summer they have jazz concerts and you can dance in the concrete. Also, you may bring your special one, and I am talking about your pet, to enjoy the relaxing posh glamorous pet friendly zones. i am very grateful to have this park so close to my house #givebackNYC
Wonderful playground, manicured gardening and phenomenal promenade. Good dog parks too!
I love Car lSchurtz Park because it is a huge Park that is always kept clean . I love the fact that it is decided into many sections eg. The children's play ground which also has a separation for toddlers and older kids, the Dog park, and a lounging area where you can either sit relax on your lunch break and have lunch , a section with domino tables not to mention bord walk. People get to walk, run, sit and relax and enjoy the views of the boats, Cruise ships etc. It is also very safe.
A beautiful park to get a great view, and lots of peace of mind. Been going there for 27 years, always a great experience and beautiful all year round.
It's the central park of Upper East Side with sea breeze.
Perfect for a Sunday stroll with a stroller and dog!
Nice intimate neighborhood park with good river views. Perfect place for a dog run.
My new favorite park! What a gorgeous nature spot.. Beautiful river views, navy ships, and serenity inside the park, with small hills, tree oasis and benches... Love it so much
A community refuge from the often tourist-packed Central Park several blocks away. Nice views of the East River. Great playgrounds, basketball, and places to skate or just goof around.
Love coming here when I feel like a change from Central Park. So nice to be next to the water!
2 dog runs. 1 for small dogs and 1 for large dogs. You can sunbath in a bikini, bycicle ride. Jog, playground, concerts and much more. A nice crowd of friendly people.
Love this park. It's much needed in this concrete jungle. Thank you to all who care for it.
Great park to walk by the East River
This is one of those seemingly unknown little gems in the city. Funny enough, Gracie Mansion is located here and it still just always seems so quiet. Couple of dog runs, basketball courts, and lots of little hidden spots to read. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a little escape on the east-UES.
Catbird Playground is a perfect play area for young children to challenge their climbing, swinging and sliding skills while nervous parents or caretakers ready themselves to comfort after an unavoidable fall or scrape. Kids socialize naturally with varied interference from adults and seem to find their way to happiness and exhaustion.
Bathrooms are usable but in need of redesign or at least freshening up with better lighting.
City parks can always use a bit more money, maintenance and management to keep up with heavy use created by surrounding residential towers.
Wonderful walking place and the doggie park is fun to watch since we no longer have a pup. Watch the boats go by, but difficult when sunny, cannot find shade bench to sit on.
One of my favorite parks in the city. It has a dog run, areas for picnics, secluded sitting areas with flowers, and, of course, the river view.
Very cute park. Benches, dog parks, and grassy fields to lay out on offer a lot to do.
Great spot to go on a walk. Nice area right by the water. Bright my dog there and he loved it. There is also a decent sized dog run with friendly dogs and people.
Peaceful oasis at far east end of Yorkville (Upper East Side) area. Sit on a bench and read a book, picnic on the lawn, or start a several mile run up the river and into Randall's Island. Less touristy than Central Park, and very well maintained.
Great place to find some grotto to cry. In all likelihood, you'll find a plaque saying you weren't the first nor the last to "let it out" in that particular spot.
Great dog run. I was here recently for the dog costume contest.
Such a hidden gem in UES. It’s a very nice and enjoyable park.
Lovely plantings, huge children's playground. Also, never too crowded. Great for strolling and relaxing.
Well, I would say that I had passed by more than anything via the NYC Ferry. However, this park looks okay to me. I could see this being one of many places where you can take your children to play around in.
The BEST park in NYC. Amazing views, dog parks, it’s well lit, tons of trees and grass, safe and beautiful!
Great list of summer family fun events!
Its near the river with a breezy view lots of green space to sit or lounge there's a riverboat near for travel to other parts of nyc and Gracy Mansion is part ot the scenery.
Nice park. Good for kids to run and play. East River views with a cool breeze. Bring snacks because no stores near the entrance.
The kids loved the playground, and there was an art expo.
The is a great park along the East river. Has restrooms too!
Best park in New York City per square foot. Great views along the East River, lots of dogs, and there is construction on it now but normally it connects to very long walkways up and down the East Side
Quite and pleasant, especially by the water. I love the grounds with the trees, very relaxing.
Really nice during sunset, come here with a blanket and enjoy the air.
The Easter egg hunt was fun. Great view of the water. Cold in the morning. Bathrooms are pretty good compared to other public park bathrooms.
Beautiful park. I love the small dogs area. The children area is very nice and they have a lot of rides and sprinklers
Beautiful and convenient park connected to the east river pier. Escape the city madness and soak up the sun with your family or take the ferry downtown to escape the uppereast side completely.
Amazing park along the famed East River in the Upper Eastside of NYC!!
Very nice park. The only problem is it should be bigger. I wish the construction would finish along the East River. It has been going on for years and seems forgotten.
Great outdoor space to enjoy with friends or family. The gardens are maintained by volunteers which is an excellent idea. We really enjoyed the esplanade.
I love this park! Carl Schurz 's is a neighborhood park and most people don’t know about it unless you live on the UES. Whether you go for a run along the promenade, sit on a bench and look out at the east river, go see the dogs run in the small dog run or sit in the sun on one of the many manicured lawns, this is definitely the place for relaxation. You can enter on 81st Street and East End and walk the promenade until you reach the park.
With 2 dog parks, spring time blossoming trees, a lovely promenade and perfectly landscaped gardens, Carl Schurz Park is a local gem. Enjoy watching the tug boats pushing freight on the East River, with views of Astoria, Randalls Island, Roosevelt Island, RFK Bridge and 59th Street bridge. A true asset of the Upper East Side.
Nice size park that has it all, large playground for kids, basketball area, bike or sit on bench by river, grass, paths and 2 dog runs.
This is a special place and out of the way from the bustle of New York. It's a short bus, subway or 30 minute walk from midtown Manhattan. The grounds were the home of a wealthy merchant, Schurz. His home became the official residence of New York's mayor. Mayor Ed Koch built the addition which serves as the entertaining venue of the mayor. The original house is small and is behind the addition. The 2 buildings are now part of a public park that stretches for about 3-4 city blocks. The land abuts the east/Harlem river at 88th street and East End Avenue. Great place for tourists. Brown bag lunch.
Great dog run for little puppies with a nice view! Overall nice park with lots of different things to offer
Beautiful park to come relax and enjoy a nice day.
Lots of space to play, walk around and great views of the East River and Roosevelt Island. Nice dog parks. Right next to Mayor's mansion as well.
I want to tell you I hate it so that it won't get too crowded. However, that would just be a complete lie. It's one of the best parks in Manhattan. After all, why wouldn't it be when the mayor's house is in the middle of it...
Beautiful park maintained by local volunteers. Great views of the East River andd there's access to the ferry.
Great park to view the northern reaches of Manhattan, Roosevelt Island, Queens and Randall's. Also. 90th St Ferry stop opens your travel options to multiple great destinations and outings w 34th St Ferry and Pier 11 Wall St as hubs. Note that walk to ferry will take a good 5 mins.
Really great park for different ages. Lovely views by the water as well.
This is the home of Gracie Mansion, but there is a lot going on bnb here in the summer. They have concerts, Shakespeare in bvb the park and othe performances. It is also dog friendly.
It is seemingly at the end of the Earth but is a very nice setting with great views. Greeted by this police car on arrival.
The trains are ready for Pride also.
Growing up, this was the park I visited the most. They upgraded it about 20 years ago and my kids still go there. Sprinklers are on during the hot summer days. Great for kids up to about teens.
Great dog parks for different sized dogs, great for small kids as well with 2 or 3 massive jungle gyms and plenty of slides and other things for them to play on. I grew up on that park and I have very fond memories of it
It's a nice park by Harlem river drive. People bring their kids and dogs there! You can also ride your bike and run on the prominent!!
Great outdoor playground, lawns, and benches to enjoy the east river view, pretty landscaping, and great events for adults and kids, like Easter egg hunt, fall festival, open air movies and concerts, and my favorite the tree lightning!
a great park, nice space for what you need. great playground for the kiddies. nice waterfront area for those who enjoy running and enjoying the river view.
How many times have I visited this park!! I am so lucky to have it in my neighborhood. It's like a mini Central Park around the corner. And, Central Park doesn't have a beautiful view of the river.
Nice park with great East River views. Love the dog park, too.
Manicures park along the east river. Great for adults and children. Has a great area dedicated to children with swing sets, slides and water spouts.
Amazing playground, good facilities. Grass areas are nice, but just like most NYC parks to many are closed off all the time.
good scenery, safe neighborhood, ideal for morning runs or evening walks, has a dog park as well.
A very very clean Park. Excellent place to work on your suntan in summer.. this park has excellent reviews of queens and Brooklyn, if you must look at the ugly polluted East River. LOL
Beautiful place to walk around, people watch, and say hi to the dogs coming and going.
Beautiful views of Hudson river and surrounding city. I recommend going at night. The views of reflected light from the river are spectacular! And I felt very safe there!
This park is absolutely beautiful in the summer. Has a dog enclosure as well as playground for the kids. Perfect view of the bridge and water.
Beautiful park along the East River, gardens, the home of the NYC mayor, playground, hockey field, excellent views of the water, Astoria and Roosevelt Island.
A beautiful park that's far from the subway and (most) tourists. Tons of spots to lay back and relax. There's a dog park and playground inside the park as well.
I run by here everyday. What I like about it, though, is that it provides great views of the RFK (Triboro) bridge. If you are into photography, this is your place for getting those sunrise shots.
Nice park with a trail running along he east river. This section has the FDR going underground which makes it quiet and gives access to the waterfront.
Right by Gracie Mansion. This part is a walk way right next to the East River. Lots of benches to sit on as well as good for walking jogging and biking. Very enjoyable.
Great park in the UES, feels almost like a private park, at certain times of the day/night
It's an okay normal park. If you're near this park, I recommend it. But there is other great parks than this one.
Carl schurz park is a great place to be with your famiy and even your pet dog! Its a beautiful big park with a dog park for little and big dogs, a playground for your child, a basketball court for you to play on, a nice grassy spot for you to have a picnic, and benches where you can sit and look at the east river. i've been going here for a long time and it started getting to the point where I had my own club house! Carl schurz is a great place and you will absolutely love it!
Great place to bring you kids
Great little park on the Upper East Side. Has a dog park for both little and big dogs along with several basketball courts (which are also often used for roller hockey)
Very pleasant walk
Another best kept secret in NYC. If you are tired of the over crowded, over commercialized Central Park then Carl Schurz is your park located on the Upper East side with awesome views of the East River. Nice quiet lovely park.
Carl is one of the nicest doctors I have ever had. After being tossed around from hospital to hospital it was such a relief to find someone who takes me seriously, Dr.Shurz is blessing, I finally have the nose of my dreams
Great views of the East River and Roosevelt Island. You can visit the dog parks and watch the pups run around or stroll around Gracie Manor.
I am recently new to the neighborhood. I have been to the park different times of the year it is well maintained. I do look forward to going this summer. The facilities are very clean.
Really beautiful place... Everybody should go there with family... A small park by east river... Good part is very nice and quiet place in crowdy city....
Best kept secret in the city and one of the most beautiful parks. Mayor's mansion is especially striking and the greenery varied.
Another NYC sanctuary. Walk your dog, sit on a bench, enjoy the gardens. Or take your little ones to a well equipped playground.
Great local park. See dogs, walk along the East River, and walk by Gracie Mansion!!! You can play sports or just hang out with friends.
Nice little - keyword little - park by the East River, with a couple of playgrounds and dog walks and benches galore looking out at the river.
Great views with a nice jogging path
This park is awesome great kids area and dog areas too. A running path by the East River. It’s cool.
Great place to jog, walk, people watch, and sunbathe. Nice views of the East River and boroughs of Queens and Brooklyn.
Nice park on the East River
Had a great time here.
The park includes a dog park, running path, children's playground, and views of the East River...a perfect place to enjoy a lazy weekend coffee and a bring-along pastry
One of the best playgrounds in the city, and for those inclined for a romantic stroll, great promenade next to East River, with grassy areas for picnics.
I love this park. Mostly locals but great for picnic and quality time with family. Very clean and peaceful.
Great place for dogs, kids, naps, sun Bathing, and just taking a walk.
If you like dogs this is your park.
Very beautiful park right on the river. The spring is the best time to go as the flowers and foliage is blossoming.
Take a run on the water or walk and enjoy the skyline. Bring the pooch and let them go crazy in the dog park or just sit back and watch the boats go by this park is a gem.
Beautiful park with great views of the East River. Lots of great little places to sit and enjoy a picnic.
Model of community supported park. Neighbors honor different needs of various publics I.e. quiet seeking, dog spaces, cat spaces, sports, films, Holiday gatherings, weddings
Friendly atmosphere and great views.
Very dog friendly
A great cultural immersion experience if you don't come to Manhattan to check off corporate-forced tourist boxes, but experience what life on the East Side is like.
Great relaxing place. One of the best spots in the city. A promenade overlooking the East River, Roosevelt Island and Queens. Awesome place.
Best park in all of Manhattan. Beautiful.
Take it all in. Veg out. Mr. Sergeant and Trevor's favorite spot.
such a beautiful destination and an incredible setting overlooking the water so well maintained by the community and the city definitely a must see if you're in New York
Great playground for kids, beautiful promenade with East River views and nice basketball courts. Beautiful and well maintained gardens.
Great River views with plenty of room for walking. A nice "hidden away" east side joy.
Brand new play areas are fun for all ages from toddler to grade school. Enjoy
Easter morning walk East River and tulips
Beautiful park with great paths and landscaping. A few very photo worthy spots, and not crowded like central park.
It's a nice Path overlooking the east river but the pedestrians need to pay attention to how they are walking and watch their dogs and children
Beautiful park. Two dog runs. Gorgeous water front view. What more could you want.
Love this place! Great view nice walk with the dog or my skateboard. Great for every time of the year
Great neighborhood park on the UES by the easy river with separate play areas for kids and dogs. Must visit for a relaxed evening stroll

Really pretty and relaxing place.
It's a great place to go to relax in the shade or to stroll by the East River. My daughter loves the playgrounds, too.
The best park around this neighborhood... It is very well maintained.
A jewel for everyone to enjoy!
Note: Avoid lunch time during the weeks when schools are in session!
Open, clean, green space to enjoy. Maintained well. Enjoy east river views while sitting under a patch of green grass under a tree.
Nice little park! I’d never been here before we moved to the Yorkville area, and now we are frequent visitors.
Lovely park. Clean facilities. A lot of fences facing the east river. Two dog runs.
a lovely place to see the skyline and parts of roosevelt island and clear your mind...also a great place to write
Hip place to walk, jog, people watch or sun bathe. Expensive if you want to live nearby. May even get a look at Mayor de Blasio given that Gracie Mansion is at the Northern end.
It's the perfect spot for sitting in the sun and watching the comings and goings along the river.
Kinda cool to see Gracie Mansion although the gates block much of the view.
Lovely views of the river, Roosevelt island, bridges and ferries. Peaceful and relaxing
Big playground for kids to play in. Also near ferry stop.
Environment is clean and nice for bringing kids to play
It's beautiful in the summer a great place ti bring loved ones, friends, take your kids and especially that special someone 😉 …
Nice park on the east river
Love this park many many happy memories here.
Really nice park with 2 dog areas for the pups and beautiful walkway along the river.
Quiet family oriented park with great east river view
Beautiful, peaceful, but at night time there are a few rats... Thanksfully they usually scurry away
Beautiful, green park suitable for a myriad of activities. The only downside is that the restrooms, at the North end of the park, are unclean and ridden with flies.
Amazing park for running, walking or just to spend time. Excellent for children and dogs. Differents spaces for everyone.
Beatiful Park, the only thing is that they close the path access by the east river by 5 pm and if your are biking you need to detour to the street
I love the views, the East River, the trees in autumn. People play chess, basketball, walk their dogs-- it's a great place.
Great dog walk. A great children playground. Quiet place to read and by the boardwalk is great to look at the East river.
A haven in the upper East side. A sanctuary for families and friends with a lively community feel. Two doggie runs and a kids park.
Great place for a nice stroll. Two dog runs, one for small and another for large.
A nice, clean park. Grassy areas are well maintained.
Lovely park by the East River. The dog run is always an attraction. Theater events in summer evenings
Great park over looking the east river. It has a dog run, playgrounds and basketball courts.
Love this park and the cute dogs in the dog area!!!
Nice park on the upper east side. There are small and large dog parks as well as courts and playgrounds for kids.
At 85th st there a very large very dynamic playground. Great for kids parties. A lot of structures for toddlers and up.
It's a hidden gem of a park and used by locals because it is so far East. Beautiful views & gardens.
A very nice quiet place to take a walk with that special one or just take a walk with the kids they will love the view. the or with that special one recommend this place 80% peace
This is a very nice place to relax and listen to the East River go by. Just be sure to pick a shady spot on a hot day.
A great pocket part on the Upper East Side. Off the beaten path - but a real jewel of a park!
Great park. Lots of open spaces to play and work out, and nice River views
Cozy park with great views. Safe, clean (when people pick up after their dogs) and local.
Beutiful sunsets !! Romantic for couples .. alot of rats there too
Nice quaint park. A good distance away from 86th Street station so make sure you have on comfortable footwear.
It’s a very nice park with many things to do. The parks department staff is very kind.
Best park near the ocean hands down I fall in love here.
Awesome park for both kids and grown-ups.. what a wonderful view of the river
Had a great day enjoyed how peaceful the Park is, also the Ferry is an added attraction.
So serene and beautiful. The landscaping is lovely and the promenade makes you feel as if you've escaped NYC.
Nice park to relax
Lovely spot where you can sit and stare out at the East River and people watch for hours. I take my lunch here, take off my shoes, sit in the grass and for a moment everything is right in the world.
Great kids park! We love coming here and the bathroom is a plus for small kids.
This park is perfect for a walk or for just relaxing in summertime. The view is incredible.
Small park, lovely views, wide boardwalk along the East River, private spots can be found
Beautiful park great place to spend the day with the family
Nice children's playground...from baby swings to climbing structures
Absolutely beautiful park, great to walk around and offers stunning views over the East River
Right on the river and plenty of green space - great place to spend time with friends, families, and President de Blasio.
Nice place to see the East River passing by and dogs playing. A great place to escape the noise and madness of the city
Very pleasant atmosphere, but a few too many color-coordinated children's birthday parties and Sun bathers.
Great for families with dogs and kids, playgrounds for both and very scenic next too the East River.
Lovely, quiet park. Great for a bit of reading or taking your dog out for a walk.
The kids play ground is nice. And the ocean view is awsome
So happy this park is here and taken care of! Love seeing all the dogs at the park too.
There are WaterFountains And Free Clean Water, tested 400 times a month for purity, fill up your GLASS bottles, non porous that is. Lol.
Great place to get away from the city. A comfortable spot along the East River for the warm days.
Great views of the east river, nice place to visit if you are in the area.
Amazing park facing the east river . Nice running area and dog parks
I love Central Park but this small and charming Park has a place in my heart, mostly because of the views to the East River
Great little place to connect with nature on the upper east side. Also great for views, and people watching.
Super dog park. Great views and a convenient place to catch the ferry. Clean public restroom.
Beautiful park with tons of slides and swings for kids off all ages.
Love it here. Loved it since childhood
nice park along the east river, that has many nice steps and bridges, and cosy places to sit on a bench.
I just loved it being almost private. Super clean and a nice place to just kick back and relax mentally
Just walking through looks clean and well kept. Folks power walking and jogging beware bike lane.
Beautiful Atmosphere With Nice View to Sit down and Watch the Ferry Boat Pass through the River
Really nice park. Great dog park. Place to sunbath. Nice views
cute dog park for toy dogs. nice wide walk bike area and east river view
So beautifully maintained and two dog parks that we stop at on our way home.
Nice park to people watch or just a quick getaway from day's stress! I love coming to this park!
Great park off East End Avenue. Has both big and little dog runs.
Such a peaceful place to hang around
Great park. So many nooks and crannies to sit and relax.
Nice Playground, view to the Hudson River while you run ir just walking around.
Great local park, takes you out of the city while just being steps away from the UES.
Very nice dog park is small but free
Peacefull place to enjoy nature, bike riding, jogging, walking with lots of forest and clean, fresh air
Beautiful with nice scenery. Lots of dog walking, children playing, couples picnicing
Attended Gracie Mansion's Halloween Event. It was fun had a haunted house, face painting, slime making, and other stations.
Nice big park by the river. Pet-friendly.
Lost at the end of Manhattan, a lot of locals are coming for a walk or run. Pleasant to sit on the bench watching the boat. Little downside, the FDR who passes right below.
Nice park. Very relaxing sitting on a bench overlooking the river.
Has a lot of activities if u just wanna chill out.
Took our granddaughter. Terrific playground area for kids.
Great view of the river, big and small dog parks. Has a playground and basketball courts.
Great park right off the E90th Street ferry stop.
Nice view! Is the mayor of NYC really lives in this mansion close to the park?
Well kept public park frequented by nannies and their charges. Nice for stroll.
Except that the mayor lives there it's a great park
Beautiful park for outing. Beautiful view of the river. I love the playground.
Its nicely laid out. The dog runs are quite enjoyable. Theres never any mess or litter.
