Joe Brown Park is a wonderful resource in New Orleans east. There are so many facilities available like a running track, a stadium, a recreation center, and a public pool. The park is maintained beautifully and is one of the most wonderful public resources available in the east!

The park is beautiful. Equipped to handle a variety of sports from tennis football soccer baseball track and field and football. There are sheltered and open picnic areas. There is also an indoor pool. Restrooms were clean and available. Lovely park.

This is a nice park in New Orleans East. It's got a walking path that meanders through the park, a running track, sports fields, gym, pool, playground equipment, and outdoor activities. During certain times of year, they offer free canoeing and fishing for the general public on Saturdays. NORDC has done a good job with this park.

Gorgeous facilities. We used the victory track and field for our O-D All American Bowl games. Bathrooms and concessions were as good as any High School! The parking is a little confusing and you can end up going in circles if you don't know that there are large Lots if you keep going straight back!

This park has majorly upgrade since before Katrina this park is up there with Audubon and city park now having fishing ponds fitness area picnic spots archery and more I love the new Joe brown thanks new orleans for bringing this back my kids love it

Nice park for sports activities, The Men's restrooms need too be remodel it's a mess no hand soap,no paper towels or hand blowers, some sinks need too be repaired, other than that it's a great park.

Good morning everyone, Joe W. Brown Park is a very exciting place. Once or twice a week maybe, I use this area for my own recreational purposes. Jogging, working out at the athletic station and so forth. The scenery is also an attraction because there are so many different sections to enjoy. Be Blessed everyone. I would also like to Congratulate the dream team that helps contribute to the cause of keeping the park nice and neat during the week. Presentation is based on a first impression, this however, determines the magnitude of people who will actually be interested in the participation of park activities. Glory be to God.

My experience at Joe W. Brown Park was an amazing experience I go there almost everyday they have really fun activities you can indulge in every week or so I go to Archery every Thursday it is a very fun stress relieving activity I love to participate in ... You can come and fish there 🎣 it's a great place to bring the kids to have a family pick nick there are multiple playgrounds for the kiddos and it is very safe and clean there I would 10/10 recommend you to visit Joe W. Brown Park

Joe Brown Park reminds me of my childhood in the country. It's a beautiful, well-planned comprehensive facility - baseball park, track field, football stadium, basketball gym, canoes, kayaks, trails, tennis court, enclosed swimming pool, and more. Ida took a toll, but it's already being brought back into its pristine state.

This park is one of my favorite parks in the Parish. It offers variety of outdoor activities. From track, bicycling, yoga, tennis, football to canoeing, kayaking and fishing. You have to registered before a week to use the water activities. Fresh breeze on this park is splendid and brings a delightful atmosphere around. I recommend visiting the parks in the mornings. Practice social distancing and stay safe

I use many of the free resources at this park. I enjoy walking the tracks and trail. I use the outdoor and indoor gym. I love to swim in the in door pool. I recently introduced my dog to the park and she loves it too.

I would give five stars the gym / rec center is good condition clean and safe but the hours to play ball is so inconvenient and short no time barley to play they use the Court for everything else besides basketball what it's made for

Thankful to have this park in our community of New Orleans East! It is well maintained and used by the community. The only issue is if it allows fishing why is the foliage allowed to grow high around the water areas limiting you to only the dock by the gym. This will not stop me for going and enjoying the rest of the park. The park offers shelters, play areas, a great track and walking paths.

I love this park and it's a great place to take the whole family bank fishing! The pond is stocked with adult size channel catfish and it's a lot of fun to have a successful day catching fish you can take home and eat!

It's a beautiful Park. They offer a lot of free family activities. Plenty of space to have a picnic. Very clean Park. No matter what kind of activity you looking for they have something to satisfy everyone.

Possibly one of THE BEST parks in the entire city. It's easily accessible from the major roads, not far from the interstate, beautiful scenery and nature scenes, plenty restrooms (even though you have to bring your OWN soap because they NEVER have any), plenty covered picnic areas, boat and fishing lessons free, huge rec center, plenty benches to sit and watch nature, Audubon Nature Institute is inside it, plenty nature trails, and an ample playground. They do need to install baby swings though, because there are children of ALL ages that frequent this park that could better be accommodated.

Joe Brown park has really improved since my childhood. The Outdoors experiences- canoeing, fishing, hiking, and camping are superb for beginners. They have everything you need; just bring yourself and get in touch with nature. You can also enjoy several other sports such as tennis, track, baseball, basketball, and swimming. Ample parking and innovative playgrounds.

really cool park that's a great quiet safe place to take a nice walk. there is a back section that is currently under repair. which I sincerely look forward too. the park when finished will be as big as what is left of city park since it's been cut in half since the addition of a golf course that's over priced.

This is an excellent park! My fiancé and I had a chance to learn how to play tennis yesterday. Our instructor Kamal was great! He took his time to teach us proper form and different techniques. He was patient with us and all his students, also very knowledgeable. It was a fun activity and we look forward to coming regularly. We also come during the week to run on the track. I look forward to seeing what else the park has to offer.

great place to walk or run on the Victory Track but man parking sucks. This is my neighborhood and the only park we have and there's other re recreational things even for kids. We don't have to leave the East to play tennis or have canoe rides. It's a family orriented park.

I love this park! Very low-key family-oriented atmosphere. Great walking/running track and longer walking trails. Community center offers family activities e.g. exercise classes, swimming, swimming lessons, etc. Pet friendly. Well-kept grounds with continued improvements to the park both with regards to aesthestics and infrastructure.

Beautiful place to go and have family fun.....community works, areas for the kids to play, shelter for partirs and get-togethers and recreational activities. They even have a trail for those who would like to do walks around the park. They just recently added Audubon Nature there. Can't wait to take my kids there.

I forgot Donald duck orange juice and the park ranger Left an open 2020 maddog alcohol bottle under a tree in an ant pile. Although ant could stand for advance natural talent. I have a Barney and Sesame Street playground in Fayetteville NC on person street. But I got some crawfish and chicken from a party by the restroom and ate it in Houston Texas and I also changed underwear boxers and socks for clothes. Because if clothes down you can attend outside. And if clothes down only to clean feet.

I always visit the park to complete my light jogging workouts on Victory Track. I absolutely love the blue padding or cushion that's installed onto the track. It's great for reducing the impact on my knees :D

At the moment the park is looking better than ever. I only wish it had a dog park that would be great but at least it's dog friendly as long as they are on a leash. Great place will give 5 stars once the park is finished.

This park is desperately in need of parking space! A fit park, dog park and water park would be amazing additions. The Nature and Science Center is finally making a post Katrina comeback. Yay! The tennis center and indoor pools are great. Canoeing and fishing! Sports, dance, tutoring and exercise classes at the gym. Tracks and trails everywhere, but too many schools and organizations using one facility. New Orleans East is like a small city. We simply need another large park or better facilities at the smaller ones. 💜💚💛

Joe Brown Park and its rec is nothing short of beautiful with an array of activities to become involved in. The park is clean with frequent lanscaping. I highly recommend visiting Joe Brown for a picnic, a walk, and more.

They only have about 4 swings. Need more swings for the kids to swing on the playground. There he about 30 kids out there waiting on a chance to swing. Oh and they need to also put baby swings. For the little babies who would like to swing.

Other than the construction Joe Brown is beaitiful and has multiple facilities: football field, tennis court, track field, etc. There is fishing, canoeing, little play parks for the kids. Also, NORDC sponsors several fitness and nature based workshops and classes for FREE.
