Clean campground, beautiful place with waterfront tent sites. Water and garbage bin at each site. 👍 Plentiful options for stuff to do in Clarksville and Nashville. It rained a lot the two times I camped here, might just be bad luck. Thanks for the memories! …

...this was a very beautiful campground! Everyone was friendly & helpful, spacious camp area with clean bathhouse & campground!...Definitely one to visit if ur in the area, we were able too fish from river or lake on site with success!... our site was gravel but some are concrete!...the camp host was very helpful with items to add to my scrapbook travel journal!

Always love it here! Beautiful & neat as a pin. Restrooms are old but serviceable. Cumberland River was right outside our door & we really enjoy watching the boats, tugs/barges and even river boats go by!

Very quiet camp. Lots of barge activity on Cumberland River. Fun to watch. Level cement pads. Would stay here again.

Excellent campsite with power, water, charcoal grill, fire pit, stone table and benches plus steps down to the river. There are several fishing spots within walking distance and a few more only a 5 minute drive away. There is an on site trash can that is changed daily by the park. There is a small man made beach just down the road that also has charcoal grills at every little pavilion.

This is a very well maintained Corps of Engineers campground. Our site was within a half inch of level and was very clean upon our arrival. If you have a bigger rig make sure your brakes are in good condition because the road in is curvy with some pretty good hills. I like the fact that the front gate restricts traffic on weekends from cars that are not staying, both from a safety and enjoyment standpoint.

We stayed overnight at Lock A campground while working our way west. I enjoyed our stay there and would have liked to stay a few more days. The river was scenic, especially with the occasional barge passing by. The road in to the campsite is very steep downhill but in good condition with minimal traffic. The entrance booth was empty when we arrived in the afternoon but it was occupied in the morning when we departed. I did see park rangers drive through the campground when we were there. There were just under 20 campers there and a couple of tents when we stayed in September. Ashland City is a short drive away for groceries and other things.
Our site was a level concrete pad with a picnic table, grill, fire ring, lantern hook and trashcan. Some sites had blacktop pads instead of concrete. We stayed in Site 3 which was easy to back in and had room for our truck and 36’ 5th wheel with lots of room left over. The electric pedestal and water connections were in good condition with 50 & 30 amp service available. There were plenty of channels available using antenna TV and we had about two bars of signal with AT&T cellular. There were plenty of trees to provide shade throughout the campground but I didn’t encounter any with low branches to interfere with our tall 5th wheel. There was a volleyball court and playground. The bathrooms and showers were typical COE, old but fairly clean. They had fans going that provided great ventilation, which was nice because some COE showers I’ve been in are like a sauna during the summer. I would stay here again.

Excellent campground. Concrete RV pads, water and electric only. View of the river on some sites. Playground, fishing, long paved road and trails for walking. Cheatham Dam about 2.5 miles down the road. Lots of picnic areas for day use.

Overall beautiful campground. Great views, clean bathrooms, other campers are kind, fun to watch the boats go by on the river. The weird thing is that the host was very unwelcoming when I showed up with my friend on our two small motorcycles. Mine is licensed, registered and insured and my friend's is a 50cc which requires no registration or motorcycle license in TN. She barely let us in even though I had booked the site months in advance. She came around later to take photos of the bikes and my license plate. She seemed very worried about them even though I assured her we were breaking no laws. I really don't understand why you would harass campers if they are not breaking any laws or rules. The next morning I was woken up at dawn by the sound of very large explosions happening nearby. I was raised in the country so I know the sound of gunshots, this sounded like a 21 gun salute! Other than that the campground was quiet and the teens kept it down after dark. As my friend and I were leaving on our bikes the next morning we were FOLLOWED BY THE CAMP HOST IN HER TRUCK AND SCOLDED FOR BEING TOO SLOW UP THE HILL! I just don't get it.

My great grandfather was HM Osborne. The family lived at the top of the hill. He planted the pecan trees along the road and many of the other trees on the property. I love that the park is maintained so well. It is beautiful.

Such a nice campground by a beautiful lake. Open road for a nice bike ride and great facilities in general. Site 39 was perfect to wake up to a lakeside view. Happy camping!

Good little waterfront spot. Bathroom is centrally located. May visit again to tent camp.

Pulled in after dark and thought it was a little sketchy, but then came daylight and it was beautiful! Restrooms are cleaned regularly and it has a small, but decent kids park. Safe area too. Will return!
Faith Spann
Great tent sites! Beautiful view! Clean restrooms and lots of playgrounds throughout the dam.
David Krisle
Buetiful campground well maintained. Would recommend to anyone. Nice place to fish and go boating.

Nice place to camp! The lots had concrete slaps and were level for the most part. Even had your own trash can out front. Nice dump station when your leaving. We made reservations about 6 weeks ahead and really didn't need one. Probably during the summer months you do, but otherwise I was surprised how many empty spots there were at the end of September. Decent space between campsites, too. Camp hosts were friendly. Very peaceful. Would definitely stay here if we ever traveled through there again.

This campground and it's caretakers were awesome! Most spots have lots of space right off the river! The kids loved watching the barges go by and seeing everyone's dogs! The playground was close, as well as the bath and shower house. We got a flat overnight the first night, and they were kind enough to lend us a jack to change it! This is a great family campground!! With the beach and dam right down the way, we stayed busy our whole trip! Lot 37 is a beautiful lot! We will totally be back!!

Nice clean campgrounds right on the river. We could hear the Owls talking to each other ♡ Water and electricity on all Sites. The showers could use some attention, like updating and painting.
they are cleaned and mopped daily :).
They have hot water!

It's what you'd expect from a campground and swimming area on a lake. It was clean, so that's a plus and plenty of shady spots. I do wish there was more seating in the shade in the playground of the campground area.

Brought our Girl Scouts. Had sites 39 & 40 right on the water. Fantastic weekend. Bring your own firewood! There is a guy that lives on the road coming in that will sell you some. Great little hiking trails. Beach further down, water access and playgrounds for the littles. Max of 8 persons per site, 2 tents or 1 RV 1 tent. Happy camping!

Excellent RV Park!
Very clean and very well maintained.
Paved roadways and concrete pads.
New stricter rules will make it even better.
Park Hosts are on site, friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
The only negative were nearby campers with their multiple children that were allowed to yell and constantly scream, non stop, from early in the morning until well after the start of quiet time. Maybe the Hosts could have helped moderate their fun?

Wow! We were looking for a last minute spot from Nashville to LBL on July 4th weekend and they were able to accommodate us. Very clean grounds and very nice people! The fish cleaning station was great and they even had a sink to wash dishes in which is a rare thing in southern campgrounds for some reason. There was even soap in the bathroom. Police did keep patrol and there is a gate at the front. Will stay again and explore the area!
Arthur Miller
The campground itself is very nice and well kept, unfortunately the neighbors we had loved listening to loud music till 11:00 at night and for what ever reason left their truck running for hours with loud exhaust.

Right on the Cumberland River at the Dam. Beautiful campsite and beautiful views. Walking and biking trails. Our 43' RV fit nicely with no problems getting in or out. The road in and out of the campground requires really good brakes getting down to it and a strong motor to get out of it. But you won't find a more country, comfortable or scenic little place in the state. Maybe in the country. A hidden jewel. Ponds on property are beautiful and the children's play area is well kept and safe. Some sites are only 20 feet from the river. Worth a try. May not be for everyone but we love it.

Since covid-19 has shutdown many places, outdoors activity has become part of my hobbies, and found this place because biking, it's just so peaceful to come over and spend some time along the Cumberland river.

I want to tell you that this place is horrible and you should avoid it at all cost. That way it remains the hidden little secret that it is. This is one of our favorite campgrounds of all time. Big clean sites and a clean bath house. Very friendly staff. Kid friendly with a nice plaground. So like I said before, avoid it .....

I love this campground. My family has been camping here for years. It’s beautiful, peaceful and well kept.

Great campground! Right on the lake, it's great to watch the barge traffic go up and down the river. We have even seen a large paddle wheel cruise boat going down the river. Awesome!
