Reviews of Cedar Creek Campground
It is right near water or some spots on the water. Very peaceful some big sites some small sites. Very very narrow road and ditches so pick sites carefully if over 32ft… our site 55 was 95 long very narrow and must back well to get in. Some sites are padded with chat and some black top. Fishing was good, its located in the middle of a city, with houses all around, some great restaurants
Sites are clustered pretty close but but angled so as not too seem tight. Lots of trees and green space between loops giving a general feeling of spaciousness. 50 amp electric and water on each site along with fire pit/grill and picnic table.
We love this campground! Bathrooms and grounds very well kept and stocked. Staff very cordial and there when needed. Just spent 6 days there and going back in a few weeks
I love this place it has everything. Beach boat dock great camp sites. Great prices. And lots of wildlife. Family friendly. Has lots of showers like 10.
A really nice campground. I have a 30 +foot camper and a pickup; both fit on the fully concrete pad.
Shady and quiet. Bathhouse had individual rooms that were clean.
The water was too shallow too far out to fish from shore.
Love Camping at Cedar Hill Camp Grounds. The Camp hosts are super nice & very helpful. They offer wood for sale there at the park. Great playground for the kiddos and a nice swimming 🏊♀️ area. And also area for boating & 🛶 canoeing. It’s nice walking around all the different camping 🏕 sites looking at all there camping decor. …
Very nice campground.
We have stayed there three times in 2021. Just this past week we had family come down from Michigan and Cookville Tenn we had five sites booked all together on the water very beautiful old hickory lake.
We like camping at cedar creek and is highly recommended.
Pretty campground. Nice view of the lake. Campsites are mostly paved, mostly full of very large RVs. Bathroom and shower facilities need some serious renovations. The main shower house has 8 individual bath/shower rooms (yay!) but half are unusable/locked/closed and the rest were brutally hot inside.
Love this place. Always a great time. We camp with several in our group and we always have a great time!
Nice campground, well lit good spots, easily organized, access to the beach and ramps, showers and bathrooms are fantastic. No shade on our spots but some had good tree covering.
First time here and we love it!! With the America the Beautiful pass is only $15/night. Nice level pads, plenty of room and quiet.
Beautiful quiet campground set right on the water. There are a few campsites a little tighter to get in as out of w a camper/rv but there is a not a bad site in the place. Swimming beach and fishing an easy walk from anywhere. Never went in the shower houses but cleaned at least every morning. Highly recommend!
Nice clean park, close to the lake. Would recommend this park to anyone looking for a nice park with lots of fishing.
SUPER beautiful! Peaceful! Friendly! Electricity and water hookups. No sewer at the site but there is a dump station. Nice beach, too. GORGEOUS humongous lake!
We brought our children here, now my grandchildren, it's been great for 25 yrs
Beautiful setting near the lake, very clean and well kept grounds. Nice folks welcome you and are very helpful to show you your site and help you get out of the campground. Hope to come back again!
Great USACE camp - like almost all. It hadn't rained in a while when we got there but the contract mowers were out in full force anyway. Site was already dusty, mowers made it far worse.
NOTE 1: It seems T-Mobile killed the 4G antenna and replaced it with a 5G so only one of our phones was working.
NOTE 2: We used the Wally World 8 miles out of camp to hitch/unhitch the toad. The roads are bit narrow, winding and have hanging tree branches between the two.
The campgrounds are nice and clean. Some spaces have low hanging tree branches and receiving satellite reception is near non-existent. There are two bath houses. No sewer hookups but a dump station. Large day use area and roped off swimming area in the lake.
This was a very nice place to have a picnic. It's family friendly and very peaceful. Lots of swimming area and boating. Lots for the kids to do. And parents can chill in the shade. Nice restrooms and playground. I'll go back.
First visit there, meeting so.e friends from out of state there. Clean campground, spacious rv sites, and what not to like having the water way rigjt there at your front door camping.
Very nice. Quiet camp Ground. Every body was nice. Bathroom were nice private bath and shower.
Best place to camp most sites have a water view. Lots of wandering space and lots of room between sites. Great beach side.
Clean, quiet with great swim area. What more do you need? Nice sunset views? Check ✅

Very nice campground. Restrooms/ showers need updating and repair. I would give it a four star if those repairs happen. If each campsite had sewer available I would give it a five star.
Very clean and spacious campground. Easy access lot with a water view. Lot 35 is my preference. Nice grassy area for the dog and level lot.
Very nice Corps of Engineers campground. Lots of spots with shade. Some waterfront sites. Well maintained. Nice hosts on site.
Great weekend campground. No sewage hookup but a beautiful lakeside park with nice level pads. Nice campsites.
Nice COE campground. As with most COE campgrounds, the bathrooms /showers could use a good cleaning! The bugs are mating in the trees this time of year which leaves a sticky, sap-like substance over everything! If you come in August or September, stay away from spots with lots of trees. Lol. The camp hosts are great! Wonderful marina/bar/restaurant next door with excellent live music on the weekends.
Take special note when you’re booking these campsites scroll to the bottom and see if they have a note saying difficult to back in. We got campsite number 59 which is great once you get in the spot but is extremely hard to get in and very stressful. Other than that this place is awesome it’s right on the lake there are birds to watch it so easy to get in the water it’s a wonderful experience. The bathrooms are OK bugs and not very clean I think just old and hard to keep up. Other than that what a great place to come we’re definitely going to come back but we’re taking special note not to park at 59 or 10 which is in the sun all the time
A beautiful spot. We were lucky enough to get a spot right on the water. We immediately wished that we had booked a month.
This is a beautiful little Campground that was close to Nashville, which is why we chose it. The sites are clean and large, but kind of curvey to get into some. It's right along the water which is great and they have a beach for your water enjoyment. The shower houses are clean with plenty of hot water. We'd stay here again if back in the area.
We really enjoy this campground. This is our third stay. The staff are really helpful and keep the entire campground near and clean. We'll be back many times.
Beautiful campground right on the lake. Lots of trees so shade is a plenty! Facilities are clean as well.
Nice campground, friendly camp hosts. Stayed on site 8, in short it’s a swamp in wet weather, a rocks throw from main gate. It’s busy there. If possible get a spot inward or at rear of campground. Subdivisions and loud cars are encroaching the area.
We would stay there again, this was our first stay. Happy camping
Nice open RV park with good lake views. Sites are clean and maintained.
Nice quiet park on the weekdays. A little more annoying on the weekends. Would definitely stay again. Clean park.
We truly enjoyed this hidden gem of a campground! Family friendly, water and electric hook ups, and lovely grounds with mature oaks. Definitely recommend!
Nice campground. Affordable and well kept and off the beaten path.
Boat access, fishing, beach, and picnic areas avaliable.
Great place to spend a day chili with the kids. They caught a bunch of fish.
Nice campground. The area is great. We were in loop #1, this is the oldest section. The roads are rough, the sites are small, both length and width. Only 2 dump stations to cover 3 loops of camp sites. Rv's were backed up onto the main road and blocking loops 2 and 3.
Loops 2 and 3 are newer roads are better but still narrow, sites are larger and spread out.
I would say that the campground was clean and they have a few good spots but the majority of them are close together.
Great spot for a sunset picnic!
This place is such a breathtakingly peaceful escape. Everything about this place is perfect. If you're looking for a spot where you get to really be with Nature, this is your place. At night all the deer you can imagine lay next to the lake and nap. In the mornings it's almost as if the ducks all meditate together next to the lake before starting their quacky day.
The faculty is very friendly and welcoming to all people and your furbabies.
It's so great I don't even wanna let the secret out 🥰😘 perfect place to park your rig and get away from the hustle and bustle of society.
Great campground. The caretakers are very nice and helpful. Great views of the lake. Picnic tables and fire pits are well maintained. Showers and restrooms are clean and well stocked.
Great sunsets and sunrises here! Two of my sunset photos from here have made onto the WKRN Newscast.
This is a beautiful Army Corps of Engineers campground on The Old Hickory Lake and Cumberland River. The front gate is a tad narrow for the bigger rigs all having to make a sharp left turn into the park from the main road. Swing wide, it can be done! We are pulling a 30 ft. Fifth-wheel and had no difficulty. Streets are asphalt and so are the sites. Sites are level. Water and 50 amp electric was on our site. Lots of trees on the property make for nice shade. Shower/restroom facilities are very clean. A nice large beach is just outside the camping area as well as a boat launch. Nearby Cedar Creek Marina (you will pass upon entering and exiting the campground) offers kayak and pontoon rentals. The Marina also has a bar and grill with live music. We will stay here again! Staff at the front gate was friendly. We had a peaceful, relaxing 3-night stay and it is close to the Nashville attractions.
Very nice place to camp. We had one of the best sites in the campgrounds. Campgrounds was clean and very peaceful. No complaints what so ever!!
Campground is beautiful and clean. Shower rooms are unbelievable. Like nothing I've ever seen before. Huge individual rooms with sink, toilet and large handicap accessible showers. Waterfront is clean and beautiful. Sites are perfectly spaced between one another.
Employees are so polite.
Highly recommend this place.
Awesome place for picnic and time with family. Single boat ramp with dock, small park fee after memorial day.
Loved just going for a nature walk and seeing the deer.
LOVE THIS PLACE! My family, my friends and my kids, we all love it! Great memory making place. Nice beach, nice playground, shady camp spots, boat ramp, just fabulous!
Beautiful location and a very relaxed atmosphere during the week. You have to make reservations months ahead of time to get a site on the lake. The bath house near the entrance needs to be torn down and rebuilt but the other one is very good. Not great biking but walking is pleasant. Many of the roads are very narrow and could be a problembacking into with very large RVs.
I have been coming to this campground for 6 years, 8 to 10 times a year and it is an amazing campground. This is my first review with less than 5 stars. The reason is this year's attendants. They are running a tight ship this year and it's not a compliment. My wife and I follow the rules and most people that camp here do but these attendants this year seem to think they need to talk down to people, especially if you have visitors. I am 51 years old and my parents who are 70 came to visit and did not feel they were treated like adults. Same weekend different day I had an aunt and uncle stop by who are in their mid 60's and same issue. I talked to some other campers and same problem. Please visit this campground. It's an amazing campground on old hickory lake. This year's attendants are just a little drunk on power I guess but if you can get past that you will love it and I'm sure next year's attendants will be much better.
My family has been visiting Cedar Creek Campground for 30+ years. It's beautiful, peaceful, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. Kayaking, fishing, swimming, volleyball, horse shoes (bring some), walking, and just enjoying nature and the lake all within walking distance. Make your reservations early! They fill up fast.
We have camped here twice this year so far. It is clean and seems to be well run by the staff. Although we never had any issues, we did witness the attendant jump quickly on piddly things with other visitors. The sites are level and I LOVE that they are broken down into cul-de-sacs. It's nice not to have main traffic flow by your campsite and great for kids to ride bikes. The playground is nice but it's a good walk from most sites. I would like to see them add another small playground in the campground.
Great location but the lot sizes are quite close and small. No sewer hook up for your RV but they do have a dump station. The small bathrooms are disgusting with mold but the large shower house is newer and better maintained. Hosts are friendly. Beach has a nice play area for kids if you have small ones.
Very beautiful and the people that run it is nice.its just piece and quite
Love this place. Everyone is so nice and the campgrounds are great. Grill and firepits, two sets of bathroom and showers, and can do laundry. Dogs and kids are loved and welcomed. Very close to lake and some spots are on lake.
First time camping as a family and had an absolute blast!
Beach at the park.
Other than no sewer hookup nice campground with large sites.
Even though it started raining, the campground was really great. Love to see the lake from our spot. Will definitely be coming back!
Nice park. Some sites qualify as high density but the sites closer to the lake are very nice.
Its unusual for Corp parks to have sites so close together.
Wow the newly renovated area 2 & 3 are fantastic. We spent my birthday weekend in area 3 and I could not have picked a better place. Watching deer in the woods outside out campste was great. The staff is friendly and bath houses are clean. Was a perfect weekend.
Great place all around. Staff is friendly and professional, camp grounds and beach area are attended to frequently. Friendly PSA- this is a lake folks, so all the sounds and scents that associate with lakes are present. Don't get too wrapped up in the fish and turtle pooh.
This is my most favorite campground. The folks that run it are absolutely the best. It is clean & serene. There is something magical here and I'm not the only one that feels it. All I can say is come & see for yourself. You wont want to leave!
Lovely park. Many sites right on the water. Close to The Hermitage, too!
Absolutely family friendly! Beautiful area! Great swimming area and very clean!
Within half mile from a curb market and 4 miles from any fast food you could need as well as grocery and drugstores.
We had one of the best spots available. Family and I had a wonderful time. Very clean campground.
Very nice and clean just got here about 2 hours ago but, I like it
Lovely spot - we are full timers, so we've been a few places - big flat shaded sites with beautiful old trees everywhere- right on a beautiful part of Old Hickory Lake (Cumberland River) a swim beach that actually has some size - fun playground - good facilities - lots of wildlife to watch - sites & restrooms are old & need some updating; however, that doesn't detract from the quality of life here - oh, & fish are abundant
Beautiful view. Great sites by the lake!
Playground is small and the place is relatively clean. The "beach" needs some work as it could use a couple of loads of sand. However, it's a nice place for a quick little family cookout by the lake and some swimming.
Everything at Cedar Creek is great, the only exception was the bathrooms. We camped in a tent, so we had to frequently use the bathrooms -- which are fairly old and dirty with some broken pieces. With that said, they still accommodated for us very well.
Perfect location if you are visiting the Nashville area but want to be out In the country on a lake. The sites are large and shaded with beautiful trees and the fire flies out in a show at dusk. There is a marina that served great food and a band that plays on the weekend just 1 Mile away.
Love the beach swimming area. Kids can wade and swim. Adults, too! Although I wish the noodle was extended farther away. There are ample table for eating, grills, and the motor boats create small waves!
All the years I've lived in Nashville, I thought I had been to every swimming hole and parts of the lake. I didn't know this place existed. It's very nice. Camp ground and beach. You can't beat this place.
This is an absolutely beautiful campground! We did an overnight stay and wished we could stay longer! So clean, peaceful and quiet. Definitely will be back!
Shower houses are awesome..beach is decent...the sites are right up against each other unless you get the lake sites, several are not shaded at all...no sewer...apparently they have an issue double booking...
Nice campground on the lake. Most of the sites are on small culdesacs so minimal traffic near your site. Many large shade trees. Level sites and large grassy areas.
Enjoyed the swim area and kayaking on the lake. Need to keep up the bathrooms a little better. Great playground and campground.
Great service, salad & pizza. Very quick.
Very nice campground. The interior loop spots are well spaced and angled so that you're not looking at your neighbor's camper side when sitting out. The water front spaces are stunning with large separation between sites and angled for nice privacy from the road and views of the lake. Only a few spots in the park appeared to require some blocking to achieve a level rig. The majority of the sites were very level.
The newer bath house near the dump location has individual unisex rooms instead of separate male/female sides. Each is very roomy with the sink, toilet and shower. The older shower house on the other side of the park on the way out of the park is not so nice.....avoid it unless you can't make it to the other side of the park.
There is a very nice beach that is part of the park, but not much else at the park. We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Nashville. It is very close to The Hermitage, and not very far from Opryland. It's about 30 minutes from downtown Nashville. We would stay again.
If you want to visit the Opryland Resort, which you should, park in the Opryland Mills Mall parking lot near the wall surrounding the resort. There is a walkway from here to the resort and parking is free. If you want to park in the resort, it's $18-$20. If you want to visit downtown Nashville, park for free at the Nissan Stadium in lot R (unless there's and event at the stadium) and walk across the pedestrian bridge next to the parking lot into downtown. There are two Music City Circuit buses that are free to numerous stops outside of downtown. Park at the Nashville Farmers Market and check it out and then go across the street into Centennial Park. Free parking near the Parthenon is also easy to find. If you want to go see Antique Archaeology, this is a narrow street with parking on both sides and is very crowded.
Nice size sites.. pretty lake and beach area. Bath houses need major updating but we used our own bathroom.
We love this spot. Filled with cranes, pelicans, song birds etc... beautiful!
Much cleaner than Laguardo!! The area was clean, large enough to have room for your family, and there weren't obnoxious people lingering around every inch of the place. I highly recommend cedar creek!!
Well laid out - level sites - nice river view.
Absolutely beautiful campground. Nice facilities, great management, could not have been more pleased, especially never being there before.
Nice campground. Well maintained. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is no sewer hook up. I would definitely stay here again.
We all loved ir... Great family atmosphere. Just a GREAT experience and a GREAT time... Just everyone pick up ur 🗑. And u might have to pick other people's 🗑 ? Just do it. GREAT PLACE. …
We so enjoyed our stay at Cedar Creek. It is tucked away from the world, yet minutes from Nashville. Pretty campgrounds on Old Hickory Lake. This is a keeper. Pam
Great campground!!! They have a playground, volleyball court, pavilion, and a swimming hole. Also small loops all over the campground prefect to keep an eye on kids riding bikes!!!
Just passing threw on our way to Florida. Tent Camped for the night. Small campground but METICULOUSLY maintained . Very quiet until the neighbors kayak cought fire in the middle of the night.
Wonderful lake Beach area with playground and bathrooms open during the main season. Plenty of trees for shade for a picnic or just relaxing and taking a break from the sun.
Large level sites. Absolutely beautiful. The only reason it's not 5 stars is due to the number of unleashed dogs.
Great place for family camping. Nice sites, beach area on Old Hickory Lake, playground for the kids and quit quiet.
There's nothing like family and gathering on special holidays!Growing and family photos are awesome! When your a family they make sure your best decisions and what makes you happy matters!Love my family and friends that are trying to get clean! Also life and the lord Jesus crist!
Beautiful grounds and friendly people
It It's beautiful out here, the campsite for the trailer is already leveled and the lake is awesome
Cedar Creek his hands down the best place, the spots are nice the staff up front are super friendly. It's such a convenient location
Nice park. Roadways in campground are too narrow and turns on roadway and out of site. need to be widened to allow safer turning radius.
It's a nice campground for sure. It is a little tight to pull a 40' camper through. I thought the attendants were a little bossy.
Well maintained. Good RV pads. We had full hookups. RV sites are closer than we prefer.
Love the park. Beautiful river, lake. Boats for rent and hosts of park are pleasant. Park well maintained. Kept very clean.
Just spent some time at the day-use Beach area. Clean and very nicely kept. Reasonable fee of $5 per car.
Simple campground with swimming, volleyball court, and picnic tables. Clean and well-kept, along with restrooms. Daily charge per vehicle/boat.
Pretty. Peaceful. Flat camping spots. Power. Quick access to lake. Nice playground. Well kept Faciliities.
We are sitting on a large lot with an unobstructed view of Old Hickory Lake.
Excellent campground and friendly folks at check in.
Clean, nice beach... Full hookups for rv's and primitive sites too... Great, safe family fun...
We really enjoy Cedar Creek Campground it’s close by people are nice just what we’re looking for.
Great place, clean and pretty. Swimming, a playground and boat dock are adjacent and can be walked to.
Great place..only thing that could be improved is signs with directions
The road not marked clearly with arrows thru the camp site
Small but very nice campground. Shower houses need updating but they work.
Fun for the whole family. Great beach area. Fun little playground. Volleyball. And grills for your family cookout.
Great place to take the family camping lovley employees who watch over the place couldn't get much better only improvement they need is to update the camping sights tables and fire pits could use a upgrade
Beautiful, well maintained, friendly hosts
One of the better campgrounds in Nashville. Stayed many times over the summer. Great location.

Excellent campground nice and clean sites.

Wonderful campground. Friendly staff and quaint campground
I think it's $5 a car for the beach area, kids love it, no rocks!
So nice, clean and quiet. Sites are very well maintained.
Great park with large sites. Mature shade trees, showers and laundry.
Our best friend's favorite place to go camping we visited at least once a year
Love it there.they will be seeing alot of me every year fishing is outstanding
Quiet even when full. On the water with even non water sites just steps away. Level spacious sites.
Very quiet, flat sight , and fun lake even with all the rain
Stayed five days great camping, just needs wifi and sewer
It doesn't open until April...and it was a bit of a mess...but u can see they are working hard to get it ready.
Nice clean sites and bathrooms. Great place to stay.

Lovely park. We enjoyed our evening there.
Nice park. Well run. Good place to bring the grandbabies
