Reviews of Theodore Wirth Regional Park
Ruplekha Biswas
Wonderful for snow sports. Ski and tubing opportunities ade great. You can have ski resources with lots of varieties. You can Also learn here skiing. Good for all ages.
Jim Kreilich
Excellent hill with tow rope for tubbing. Excellent ski trails groomed and lit at night. Modern facility with food, refreshments, and ski apparel available. Outdoor fire pits and excellent restrooms.
Christian Krahenbuhl
We were fortunate enough to attend a wedding here ... a stunning place where the turning leaves and surrounding mountain bikers enhanced the experience.
The indoor facilities were clean and well managed based on our experience.
Lindsay Berg
Wow. The hiking here is amazing. We saw three baby owls in the daytime around the bog. Highly recommend. I will be back!
Cory Mezzenga
Great trails in the heart of the city. The work the volunteers do here is second to none, to provide us with amazing riding close to home.
Kezia Germ
What a great spot! The building is modern, clean, and welcoming, and the trails are well maintained and color coded by difficulty. I got to try mountain biking for the first time on rented bikes, and afterwards got a delicious lunch at the cafe. Great resource for new bikers and hardcore bikers alike, and I hear they do even more business in the winter with skiers.
Thomas Nuzum
I come here every year for cross country ski lessons to tune up for my once a year race. I have little or no snow during the year. The instructors are fantastic and patient. The course is well groomed and cared for. The trailhead building is first rate.
Jen Jenny Jennifer Jamison Johnson Jones
Great place to walk, hike or mountain bike. It has some pretty beautiful scenery and lots of
Ground to cover. Be sure to check out the butterfly wildflower garden and sanctuary!
Brian Kalanges
It's good now that we go to brand new park there
Terry J
What a great regional treasure for bicyclists - skinny tires or fat. Always something going on be it a loppet or pet adoption.
Stephen Himmerich
Great park within the Minneapolis park’s system. It literarily feels like a place that has something for everyone. If you like adventure sports there are trails for mountain biking, trail running, or cross country skiing. There is also golf, beaches, playgrounds, a cool bog, a butterfly garden and so much more! It is definitely a spot worth a visit no matter the season.
Christi Neaton
Beautiful place to hike, bike, and ski.
Aurora Pass
This park is much nicer in the fall time than the summer. There can be a lot of bugs in the summer, but it's nice in the fall and the trees that still have leaves are pretty.
Michael Ganje
Just about 10 minutes from downtown minneapolis makes this the perfect place to get a hike in for lunch. Plenty of trails to mix it up.
They also have a wonderfull little eatery in the teail head building. Great food
Carrie Eidsness
Very affordable ski rentals. Loved skiing around the park. Just know that 'natural snow' means ungroomed, NOT non-manmade snow!
Sol Awend
Great venue. Well managed and well maintained. Only problem was the parking. I thought I was in Florida and parked on the grass...no you don't, in Minnesota...gambled and lost... got a gig? Come early...
*****************
They have a nice play ground ,it was clean and well maintained..the children had fun it's a nice free place to go there is also a beach.
Arachne's Corner
I've been here at least once a day for months. It's good for the soul. There are plenty of manicured and paved paths for a casual walk as well as hidden paths to discover for yourself. Bring a camera.
Laura Nelson
Well worth the drive, visited mainly to walk through the Eloise Butler sanctuary.
Tarun Reddy Nukala
A well maintained park with activities round the year. This park has areas with trails for hiking, rugged terrain biking (mountain biking), water activities, skiing, golf courses. There are several events happening round the year.
Darnell Johnson
Enjoying the holiday with family and friends. We all had an amazing time. I love it when family and friends come together because that means good food and fun 😁 …
Evan Woolson
I mountainbike here every couple of weeks. This is one of my favorite places in the twin cities to mtb. The trails are awesome and some of them are very challenging. They are easy to navigate and tons of fun. I came with a few friends, it was perfect.
Mr Drew
What are unique and special place to hike around Minneapolis check it out if you have never been there
Casey Kreie
classic park in the cities, yet you immediately forget how close you are to downtown. Peace and quiet, and most of the time not a person in sight.
Reuben L Correa
Eloise Butler garden is one of the many green spaces at Theodore Wirth park. The garden path descends very steeply into a small hidden valley.
Its a very peaceful well maintained educational space. The docents, museum, and information booth are located in a rustic cabin midway down the path.
Be prepared with sturdy walking shoes and walking stick if you need one climb back up to the parking lot is arduous.
The garden is dotted with strategically placed benches for rest in and observing. Bug spray is not a bad idea and a camera is a must.
The garden contains flora collected from all parts of Minnesota, so once you been here you don't really need to travel out of the cities to see the rest of MN.... just kidding!
Tanner Scott
Mountain biking here is what I come for. As far as riding in the metro area goes, Theo is pretty good. A number of trails are washed out and dry. The facilities and beauty are unrivaled.
D Q
We had wonderful family time! The park was lovely! There was a very nice shelter with plenty of tables, counters, sink, and restrooms. Outside there were flowers, a playground, a volleyball court, trails, a lake etc.
Jonathan Aurand
Great mountain biking, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing. There's also a golf course and tubing, but I haven't used those.
Kinkel Kinkel
Great MTB trails (the recent changes to SW Wirth and Glenwood loops are well done), a little bit of everything in this general area. Loppet also offers skill/technique MTB classes.
There is more than just MTB here (like golfing), I'm just most familiar with the biking portions of the park.
Valentine Nde
Beautiful view of Downtown Minneapolis from here. Back nine is super hilly and challenging. Overall good golf course.
reuben correa
Lovely suburban park / recreation area with groomed and groomed trail for cross-country skiing.

Gorgeous & absolutely massive. Being there is like, what, how am I still in Minneapolis city limits? I'm like, actually hiking? Love this park.
m e
I have been there today on Tuesday 08/18/20. Itٗ s cool. It is ideal for people who wish to ride bikes or play golf. If you are interested in neither just choose another park.
Trevor and Elisebeth
A beautiful park filled with trails, water, and open grassy space! Every photographer's dream: a park with a lot of variety! Beautiful in every season and in rain or shine! We love taking couples here for engagement portraits!
Elen Parunina
Good place for biking, walking and enjoying nature 🍁🍂 …
Jared Sawatzky
Cross country ski trails were in great condition. Hills are challenging but worth it!
Nate Lockett
Great tubing hill with a automatic pull. Fast hill. Tons of options for skiing, snow shoeing, etc. Restaurant on the premises as well that serves Cajun food which is excellent. They also serve wine and beer which is a great option to have. Mobile sauna on site as well which is cool.
Chris Cookman
Went MTB'ing there. Great trails and a good place to grab a bit to eat after hitting yhe trails.
Chue Lor
Great clean park and just minutes away from downtown Minneapolis. The mountain bike trails are amazing and makes you forget you are still in the city. The new trail head building is beautiful and sleek. Would recommend this area for all riders of all skill levels. #loppet #trailkids
Sabin Sapkota
Nice bike trail! Food is good as well. Clean restrooms is always a plus.
Melissa Danielson
So many ways to enjoy nature all year round at this park!
I'm Not Tourist
Nice place for practice ski. Have table for picnic too.
Emily Chun
Great place to ski in the winter, with lots of trails with varying levels of difficulty. The warming house is newly rebuilt and nice, with good food inside and vintage skis lining the walls! Wirth also has excellent trail running paths in the summer.
Olivia Rinock
Very nice park and walking paths. There are quite a few parking lots, but can be unclear at times which are public. In addition, trails are not always well marked which can make navigating them a bit confusing. Good sized park near downtown Minneapolis though! The paved walking path around Wirth Lake is great, albeit a bit short. I recommend this park for short walks, since most paths themselves don't go very far unless you combine a few different ones. ☺️
Jess Ehm
A beautiful, urban park. So much to do. Hiking, a lake, biking. Awesome! Definitely worth checking out.
Nick Kremer
This place is a gem in the heart of the Twin Cities. It is great for a stroll or a ride. My kids loved everything there, from finding paw prints (albeit, probably a dog) to jumping up and down on the sloshy floating walkways through the bog.
Chano
Great park, but very busy and very little parking in certain parts. But I do love the wild flower garden and the bog.
K “Dkdcare” T
Beside the golf course there are walking and biking trails. I enjoy my visit here. I recommend it for anyone who love golf or love walking or biking.
Dave Cecchi
TUBING HILL REVIEW - Here's the deal with the new tubing hill. It's great. It's fast and fun for everyone and seems safe for even smaller kids. It's next to the amazing new Trailhead building thing. Parents can chill by the bonfire. Or inside if your lame. Only downside is the tow rope thing seems to break down a lot, and good lord I get tired fast walking up the hill. But they usually get it working again pretty quickly. 15 bucks a person for 2 hours, which is plenty of time even tho it sounds short at first. Go tubing!!
Erin Babineau
The best trails and always fun to get a snack/coffee/beer after :)
Reptar
Awesome hiking and biking trails so close to the city. Can really get a feel for nature without going out of the city. There are many spots here where you really feel in the woods. There are a variety of trails that go for miles! Love it here!
Tyrone Shelton
This is a golf course that I've been playing since my childhood it's been around for many years and is still well maintained! This golf course is challenging for those who do not have a good T off drive. What if you do have a good drive you can play this course with ease. The staff there is very helpful with knowledge about the course. The beers are cold. This golf courses a veri fone course for anybody in the game of golf. So grab some friends and come out and golf And find out for yourself how fun this course actually is! Tell em Tbone sent ya! #getoutngolf #tellemtbonesentya
Ryan Rampersad
A lovely park with a bridge right over the lake!
Marcus P. Hagen
There are few things that can calm my spirit as much as a trip through the woods, or a visit to a body of water. This park has both. Best of all, it is close enough to my home that I can ride my recumbent trike on city streets, then take it onto the gravel trails for a relaxing photo journey. As the seasons change, there are many different vistas to see & enjoy. One ride in spring, I encountered some recently hatched turtles heading to the river!
Adam Leistico
They keep making the trails better, adding new trails, and it is so close to the city. Real dang nice mountain biking. Also, holy hell the new trailhead and Cafe is amazing!
GM Murugan
Good lake view and volley court
corrine norris
great place to hike with your pup!
Peter Goldberg
Sprawling park with trails for biking, running, skiing, or whatever fitness or leisure activities you enjoy. The scenery is varied and beautiful. The Trailhead was a great addition, serving as a starting point for races or workouts, and a great ending point for food and drinks.
Allie Sigmond
This os one of the best parks I've ever seen. It's so relaxing to take a hike in here, perfect for a stressful day. I would recommend this park to anyone and everyone.
Adam Peterka
I love the 18 hole course, but the 9 hole is depressing. Friendly staff, and if you need something to eat before you golf they have cheeseburgers for like 4 bucks and they're on the ready. You can buy a burger while paying for your round, and it'll be in your hand before they hand you the key to your cart.
Andres Perez
Fantastic place for all levels and all seasons. I’ve gone skiing there and biking and have enjoyed it for both activities. I will say the skiing in particular is amazing. Great trails, and The Trailhead has great services and food to enjoy after skiing
Gary Jorges
Great fishing dock.. Look right down into the water and see fish and turtles(snappers). Great family hangout for BBQS.
Julie Stoltman
Lovely place on a weekend! Never knew the Mill Market & mountain bike track even existed!
Gem!
Shehla Mushtaq
Beautiful park! Loved the wildflower garden. Peaceful. Lovely walking trail. The music created by the birds was so soothing. Must go back soon!
Nate Appel
Great park. So many hiking, running, biking, and ski trails. MORC does a great job with the single track trails. Plus there is Eloise Butler Wildflower Gardens for forest bathing, Wirth Lake for picnics, and The Trailhead to warm up at in the winter months.
Amit Mohanty
Great park and trail system. The Loppett foundation housed in the ski chalet offers passes, rentals and lessons. Winter is all about Nordic skiing, snow shoeing and sledding while the Summer is all about golfing. Year round fun!
Kelvin Simms
Theodore Worth Regional is such a large part with a lot to offer. Golf, disc golf, cycling, skiing, walking, and more. Their facilities have also been recently updated.
Charan Chitirala
It's one of the best places in the twin cities if you want to spend your time outside. This place has it all, great mountain bike trails, regular bike trails, decent beaches. Several good hiking trials. We usually go to this place for biking and hiking. Hiking trails are well maintained. We recently did paddle boarding in the cedar lake, it was calm and enjoyable. There are several people who bring their own kayaks, paddle boards to this place.
August Jennings
Love the park, walk the dogs through the bog all the time!
Damon Van Duzen (DionneV)
This is one of the places best suited for quiet walks or hikes!
Leroy Blanks
Played 18 holes of golf and had a wonderful day with our 4 some. Beautiful and very scenic. I will return again and again.
Marsh Jones
Theo has made great strides in the past few years, becoming an in-city go to for walking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, and yes-golf. The new chalet was a great addition, and the parking lot is rarely empty for MTB in the summer and fat tire/XC ski in the winter. Moderately challenging terrain without being overly technical
Michael Gayle
Excellent XC ski trails & friendly staff at the Adventure Center.
Amanda Rydberg
Beautiful park with endless trails for running, hiking and biking. Good vibes and nice people on the trail too.
Elaine Holli
Great natural and man-made cross country skiing trails in the winter! Also, covid safe rentals! 10/10.
Davide Jensen
Great destination for outdoor enthusiasts alike. Snowshoeing, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, sledding... do it all. I do advise anyone who is winter biking the off-road trails to check the forum at MORC.ORG before going so you know the conditions and any closure.
Kelley Francis
New boardwalk, turkey sightings, and spring ephemerals. Eloise Butler is a lovely place spring, summer, and fall for a peaceful walk.
erdoan akguc
Great place to take a walk and reflect. Convenient, in the heart of the city
Susan Blackburn
Many, many, highly beautiful walking trails for all levels.
jcgarrowsmith
A lovely winter walk, ski trails were nicely groomed, and there are plenty of walking trails that are easy to follow.
Matthew Lennington
Hard to believe a mountain bike trail system as good as this is available in the middle of mpls
Cigar Gal
Not the best public golf watering hole, but a fun place to go tubing, x-country skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, walking, nature ogling, mountain biking and running!
Super pretty Lodge to get hot cocoa and rental x country ski's, to warm up, snow tubes, or lessons as well!
Jane Untz
Peaceful calm relaxing while excising. But trails are not marked at all.
Roberto Zayas
If you need a place for fitness or relaxation near downtown Minneapolis, Theodore Wirth is a great option.
Michelle Richard
Very lovely park...lush green, paths, plenty of birds and bugs.
Don Gronlund
Even though I always suck when I play there, it's always a good time. Course is in great shape and pace of play was good. Fair rates to play. My only beef is we didn't see the drink girl often enough on the course.
Damon Allison
One of the best places to cross country ski in the city. The ski trails are well taken care of. Of course it gets super busy during peak, so plan accordingly!
YOU GOT PAINT? 123
This place is great!!! In the winter very good and reliable grooming for Nordic skiing.
Milly R
Theo Wirth is a wonderful park in the city. I love exploring all of the paths and things to do. I don’t feel qualified to write this review because there are so many things to explore in the park I certainly haven’t done them all.
It’s a great location though. One negative is most areas you need to pay to park which is a real bummer when you just want to take a walk and enjoy a quaking bog with your buddies!
teresabrubaker
Nice park year round. Great Nordic/cross country skiing. Beautiful area!
Becky Southwick
A beautiful, well kept park. There is a great walking trail, a swimming beach, volleyball quarts and a playground.
Shailly Nanda
We had a great time at New Year's eve there. Very nice staff and great snow tubing. Excellent atmosphere!
Isaac carter
No photo can do this Park justice. The park is Hugh with golf course, mtn bike trails, lakes, rivers, and forests.
Griffin Anderson
Great spot for skiing and mountain biking
L. Marie
Quaking bog, trails, peace, nature... A great escape from the city.
dm21865
A nice place for a walk. Larger than I thought it was. Plants were just starting to peek out when we were there.
Michelle Rayl
Beautiful park. Great walking and biking trails!
Stephen Smith
Diverse park, wide trails, well maintained
Anne Ulrich
Beautiful walk around the lake! I've also enjoyed the Quaking Bog.
Tip: to get the most affordable parking, park on the street on Cedar Lake Parkway roughly five minutes' walk away, then hike into the park. The views along the way are great, and the walk passes by many of the park's most prominent and important landmarks, but the best part is not having to pay for parking.
Austin Ryan
Great trails for running and the lake is beautiful.
John Klug
Beautiful trails. Could use a few more signs to find your way back, but lots of experienced visitors were around to help with directions.
Stevi Rose
I love this park. There are great places to launch your canoe, picnic, and even watch a volleyball tournament. One of my faves…
Nou Reviews
I love coming to this park. There are trails around the pond and all over other park areas, a flower garden to see, lots of picnic areas, and a man-made beach area for swimming. There are also nets set up for volleyball. There is also a nice upgraded play area for kids.
m w
Played golf there after a business meeting. Was PLEASANTLY surprised. Clean, friendly staff, decent equipment, fairly well maintained. A municipal course. I'm a solo golfer, play all over. Like anywhere, be aware of your surroundings but no different than any place you've never visited.
Erik Erickson
5 stars for the park, wonderful skiing. -100 stars for the parking or lack thereof. Would love to ski there more often, but not worth the hassle.
Jack Reeves
The restaurant is gluten free and celiac friendly. The park itself is awesome with great bike and walking paths. Definitely an oasis in a bustling metropolitan area. Only problem is there is a lot of road work going on at the moment so be patient finding the entrance. Google maps will lie on this one.
Lou Lou
One of the most beautiful parks near the city! Huge! Great single track bike trails, running trails, cross country skiing trails. I have enjoyed some hammock time here too :)
Suprith Som
Beautiful Park! Lot of activities around.
Ash Boyd
Very nice park area. I do wish things were a slight bit more maintained such as grass mowed and parking lots patched.
Lee St. John
Beautiful park. Family friendly.
Olive Long
Great hiking and biking trails
Joe Dancho
Been going to Wirth for years. Love it, and it seems to be getting better as of late with all of the improvements to the trails, courses and general area.7
Ken Perryman
Decent little park with a playground for kids. Much better in the summer due to being on the lake.
It does get feel a bit crowded, but the trail is relaxing and short at 2.2km.
Andrea Trowbridge
Love how there’s so many paths to walk on and areas to explore.
MeiLing Hanson
I love to study here by myself and with friends. The workers are also very friendly.
Lisa Cooper Colvin
Nice outdoor seating area to watch kids ride and run on the trails. I went to the restaurant...pretty good food but be prepared to pay a premium price (just saying....don't be surprised). I was a bit disappointed with ordering, paying and picking up the food. The indifference and rolling eyes when I asked for 2 ketchups saddened me. This was my 1st visit to this park and restaurant...will review again if I return.
Aric Bertram
Keep your head up, the bike parts of the trails are heavily used and the riders might not observe the 10 mph speed limit. There are really cool off road bike and hiking trails too. Although we have not walked them as the mountain bikes utilize those heavily. Good bird watching too, we saw a pileated woodpecker!
Mike Durenberger
Has everything the outdoor sporting lover could want in an urban setting. I love the numerous single track bike trails. They offer plenty of technical challenges for most everyone. The trails are a bit on the short side, but there’s nothing wrong with riding another and another!
Tim Schnell
Excellent park and paths for snowshoeing!
Michael Joseph
Theodore Wirth is a beautiful park between Minneapolis and Golden Valley. We went for lunch at the small cafe and then walked some.of the trails.
O. Komarenko
Great web of shaded trails for all seasons and kind of activity (ski, bike, hike), as well as differentiated by level. One drawback - they're all so intertwined that it takes a few visits to make sense of this web and the posted maps are confusing, which didn't help with bickering about the way to go on our outing with my tweens :)
Britta
I've lived in Minneapolis for years but never checked out its biggest park until a few days ago. I couldn't believe how quiet and vast and beautiful the park was. Great for walking and biking especially.
Sharon Bastin
Very beautiful area, with walking and biking trails around the lake
Emmanuel Roberts
Boat launch is closed but the park is fun has a public garden
Elizabeth Peak
We went to the wildflower garden and really enjoyed ourselves. Over 500 different species of plants on 20 acres, a beautiful place to explore. My kids really enjoyed it too.
Jeff Lin
The par 3 course is a good way to get in some quick golf on short notice.
A V
Huge park in Minneapolis with walking, hiking, biking and skiing. Beautiful for a stroll through the woods, there's also some nice mountain bike trails. Best place to start is the new pavilion. In the winter there is cross country skiing but the Loppet foundation runs it and the passes are very expensive
Tobias Mösle
Great park for cross country skiing, they have also expanded the winter sport activities to fat tire biking and sledding. Unfortunately they have not extended their parking lot though so it’s always hard to find a open spot. Hopefully this changes in the future.
Charles Winning
I was a groom in a wedding held in the chalet recently. It's a really cool historical building. Lots of dark wood and old school class. My only complaint was the changing rooms had to be locked by personnel at the chalet, they couldn't give us a key to do it ourselves. It worked, but we were in an out of the rooms a lot during the 15 hours we were there. Great place though.
Rebecca Seppanen
This is a very beautiful park. I would love to go again. This park also has Eloise wildflower garden in the park. Which I think is a unique and beautiful gem of a display of wildflowers. There are paved and unpaved trails. There are nice picnic areas, wheelchair accessible areas and a beach nearby. A great place to take family. I would print a map I got a little lost walking in the park.
Alex Rook
Mountain bike trails are in good shape for fat bikes. Unfortunately we are not lol
Jacob Doege
This park has amazing walking trails, mountain biking trails and really great picnic areas. Definitely a park worth seeing..
Josh Pusch
This is a beautiful park with lots of nice foliage and plant life, and well-paved trails great for biking or walking. However, after a rain it can be hard to walk or bike due to water collecting at the low parts of the trails. In general, however, a great park.
Aaron Swanson
Awesome city park with a huge variety of activities. Public golf course. Mountain bike trails that seem to grow and improve every year. XC ski trails in the winter.
I primarily ride mtb there, but have golfed and skied there also. Good for all activities.
Worth noting is that it is connected to many of the metro bike paths so it’s great to ride there, mtb and ride out on trails.
Best place to start is the trailhead building.
The only downsides are that it can get crowded for mtb in the summer and the trails are a bit disjointed because of the roads running through the park, but once you get oriented it’s great.
T Crawford
I have been coming here since I was a child. Nice neighborhood and surroundings. Great for family time activities. You can walk your pets and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It's kept pretty clean and to me it's best to take summer walks or bike ride the trails. Have fun for free or different activities occur in different seasons that are pretty inexpensive.
Christina Super
The pavilion is lovely and has AC and a catering kitchen! Bathrooms were top notch.
LEE Axelberg (Joker)
Excellent place to bring kids and you know there's bike paths walking paths you see a lot of nature eagles deer there's a lot of things to do a lot of paths and a lot of things for for kids to learn about nature and stuff so yeah A Plus on this it's unfortunate they don't have like a frisbee course discourse there but yeah if you're looking for something to do on a Saturday or Sunday with the kids head on down to theater worth and spend the day bring something to grill up have a picnic whatnot
Jeremy Robinson
I have plenty of childhood memories biking along these paths. It's nice to come back and see them for the most part as they were back then. Still a great place for a relaxing Drive or walk or bike ride and thanks to limited parking you won't be fighting the crowds that seem to have overrun many of the other inner city lakes and parks
Michael Birkel
Huge park right in th heart of th city. Cross country skiing in the winter, golfing in the summer, bike path all year long, and mountain biking. I run here all the time and it's great. Definitely a good outdoor spot.
Michael Heikkinen
This park has everything from soup to nuts. Plenty of varying terrain, water, flora and fauna. More activities than you can shake a stick at. If you could only go to one park in town, this is a real humdinger.
Chris Gustafson
Year round this is a great park. MTB, XC skiing, hiking, trail running. Beautiful and convenient.
Raymond Spears
Nice church figure married at.. It has welter accessibility we didn't have to wear a mask unless we wanted to. And it's beautiful. I recommend it for anybody that wants to get married!
Vanessa Talberg
Everything thing there is good. Only thing that is ify is the beach. It is a nice beach when the waterfowl don't take over. Otherwise it's awesome! Probably the only park left you don't have to pay for parking.
Eric Larsen
There's a very cute loop of the lake (some bits ON the lake, some through woodlands) loads of very nice volleyball courts (be careful when you show up to play volleyball, there's a handful of leagues that occupy all courts a few times a week), a ringed-in shallow swim area great for dates or kids/families, and ample parking. There's also a great playground, but it's been fenced off thanks to COVID-19.
Edward Morafka
A very nice little quiet place right outside of Downtown Minneapolis.
Lots of activities for the family.Walking, biking, jogging and running paths.
Wirth lake is a placw to check out!a
Val Rosenbaum
Hello, beautiful outdoors! Imagine feeling as though you are surrounded by nature & all that is good. That's Theodore Worth Park. Great vibes here! Thank you to those who decided to preserve this bounty of nature & to those keeping it safe, and those finding joy here! Check out the trail head... food & patio, too.
Justin Halverson
Theodore Wirth is always a multifaceted-blast for honing in new skills and hobbies like: mountain biking, golf, swimming, cross-country skiing, sledding, hiking, volleyball; for connecting with new people who share similar interests at all levels, and containing its own lakes. I love this place, in all seasons, and am grateful to have access to visit it whenever I can!
David Helm
Awesome for skiing in the winter, trail running most of the year, mountain biking and golf.
Chris McNallan
I come here to mountain bike and really like it since there is parking close to the different trail heads. The trails are maintained very well and they are clearly marked. Even if you are not a mountain biker walking trails are great. Theodore Wirth also has a tubing hill and cross country skiing in the winter.
Dave Moore
Early-season, early-morning skiing is awesome!
Dustin P
My favorite trail system in the metro area, BY FAR!
Very welcoming for all rider levels and abilities. With many shorter loops you can get a quick fun lap on lunch or ride all evening after work. Great training grounds for little shredders! I would highly recommend riding theo wirth!
Mike&Lizz Peterson
We love this niche in the middle of the city! We like to visit Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden in the midst of Theodore Wirth. There are some nice running/biking trails and parks along the way. Parking is free or like $1. Definitely recommend!
Joshua Johnson
Gem of a park so close to the big city. I was there mountain biking with my son on a Saturday morning. Great variety of trails and were had lots of fun
It was getting pretty busy at 11am as we were leaving.
Ythan Pratt
Beautiful park year round. Whether biking around the trails in the summer or cross-country skiing in the winter, it’s truly an escape from the city. You forget you’re five minutes from downtown. Highly recommend.
Robin Heil
This, in my opinion, is Minneapolis's gem. There are so many things to do, even after going here my whole life, I still find new things to discover. The park is huge, and there are so many places to explore. Here's a short list of places and things to do:
Quaking Bog: lovely forested nature trails, and a unique ecosystem with walkways that float on a bed of moss.
Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden: More curated, less wild nature area. All the plants are labeled. There's a staffed interpretive center. Great place to teach kids about nature.
Mountain bike trails: A new addition. These trails are fun, twisty, and hilly. They range in difficulty from mild to extreme.
Wirth Lake, for swimming.
Bradley Jake Moen
This first impression as I was coming down highway 55 was the size of the park. Wide, expansive forests, beaches, walking and biking paths. Well organized, good signage, decent amount of parking and beautiful. Well taken care of. Please pick up after yourself, it's a shame to have garbage in that it any park.
christopher Vaughn
I rode out hear with a few friends the other day. It was a beautiful day and the park looked even better overflowing with freshly grown green plants. I sat by the river for a few hours, dug for rocks, found alot of nice chet. Great for biking off road on tbe moutin bike, the trails are dope
Elliott Holt
Amazing venue for the 2019 Loppet Festival races!
Francisco Teresa
This park has everything a parent can ask; beach, park and beach volleyball of you are into the sport. You can also go for a walk around the lake. There is another parking spot where you can leave your car and go fishing in a dock or if you are like me and like kayak fishing Wirth lake has some good size small mouth bass, crappies and bluegills...
Anna Collins
Beautiful, well maintained trails. Great for walking, biking, and skiing. If walking in the winter there are some hills so shoes with tread are necessary. There is parking at the beach club. No off leash dog area.
John Smith
This is a park with year-round amenities including grilling spots, golf course, lake with a beach, playground for children, smooth pathways for getting your exercises on, protected wildlife, immaculate set of well maintained singletrack mountain bike trails, snowboard park in the winter months and much more. Driving the parkway is a chill experience. There's so much energyemitting from this park it's crazy, there's always people and Good vibes.
This summer has been especially great, the police have really stopped their bullying tactics and backed off the ever-present authoritarian bullcrap.
If you've never checked it out go now! You're sure to find a good spot of your own.
Josh Anderson
Had a great time visiting the park today. The park police were out giving tickets, so be careful where you park! Also don't stay out too late cuz the raccoons will come out and surprise you! In all, it was a pleasant and beautiful experience ☺️
Spencer Grimes
Beautiful well kept bike trails on the summer and miles of great ski trails in the winter. I particularly love skijoring with my dog through the natural snow trails in the beautiful snowy months of Minneapolis. Plus you get a great view of the skyline!
This park makes me never want to move from Minneapolis.
alec blenis
Such a great park with tons of MTB and running trails considering it's proximity to the city. Seen plenty of huge deer and turkey out there. You'd never know that downtown was just minutes away.
Chris A. Winberg
Now this is a fun trail system for bicyclists of all ability levels. Lots of hills, so be prepared to go real fast and pedal hard! These trails are also great for walking, jogging, and anything else you can do without a motor! This also connects to many other trail systems in the metro area and suburbs so it can be used for long distance traveling as well.
Trinka Hanson
Pulled into a parking lot along the scenic drive for a quick pitstop and ended up staying for an hour. Took a walk through the woods on beautiful paths and drank fresh water from an old fashioned fountain that had to be pumped by hand. Good times.
Michael Herzog
Great family park. Disc golf/Actual Golf/mountain bikes trail on and off road/walking paths. Definitely have to check it out if you haven't already
Vitaly Durdiyev
Such a nice place! What a pleasant surprise to find this gem in the middle of an area with limited drink/food options. Watching the mountain cyclists was fun, too.
Ivan Borgstedt
Great afternoon biking the trails here. The park's a great place for relief and exercise in the middle of the city. Need to get out a few more times before winter kicks in!
Katie Vargo
My boys had fun exploring the area amd even found a cave man!
Matthew H.
Beautiful place to take a walk. Myself and a couple of friends did to loops around the lake. There's a nice walkway over one end of the lake where you can sit on the bench and relax as well. A small Oasis in the city.
Paula Johns
One of the best urban gems in the Twin Cities! They have awesome trails for hiking and biking, then there is golfing, a lake for swimming, and the Eloise Butler gardens too. Stop in the new Trailhead building for a bite at the Cajun cafe, which offers delicious beignets besides other tasty treats. Step back in time when entering the large chalet for a snack or study the old photographs of the park. Equipment can be rented at either building, only a couple blocks apart. And, there is opportunity for snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the winter when Mother Nature obliges. Just driving through this gorgeous parkway can be a stress reliever!
katie daniels
Great trails and beautiful fall colors.
Jackie LaVaque
One of my favorite places to bike! The Theo Wirth trails link to the Luce Line and Cedar Lake trails for a very nice, scenic ride. Also lots of good x-country skiing in the winter.
Michelle Dobbratz
Nice mix of paved trails, singletrack hiking trails, and mountain biking trails. You can go for any length hike, up to three miles at a time. Plentiful parking, although it may not always be convenient to a trailhead, there are plenty of paved multi-purpose trails connecting the parking lots to the hiking trails. The park steers hikers towards the mountain biking trails, but I wouldn't want to get in the way of mountain bikers, for everyone's safety. There are hiking trails marked in yellow on the mountain bike trail map.
Russell Vanasse
Good views, fun place. Golf, Mountain Biking Trails and Nordic Trails are great and challenging in a world class way. The Loppett Foundation have lived up to their promise of bringing in hundreds of people utilizing this area daily.
Mark Ouska
Awesome cross country skiing and mountain biking! Ski trails are well groomed for both classic and skating and with snow making equipment they they can keep up when nature doesn’t.
Naomi Lund
Amazing trails in all seasons for hiking, mountain biking and cc skiing. Few places in the world you can feel completely immursed in nature and be in the middle of the city. It's a bit disorientating at first but completely magical. You can clearly see the culture of the city and it's fit and active roots here. I can think of many cold winter nights catching my breath at the top of the hill and starting in wonder at the city below. Minneapolis Parks are well maintained, safe and make living locally vibrant
Sam Donnelly
Very nicely maintained place around all areas including hiking, mountain biking, golfing, etc... I had to ding the rating to the ridiculous parking situation. I could just be sensitive but where do you drop off and pick up without stopping in the middle of the street? Also recently I guess the maintenance crew didn’t fix horrible braking bumbs on the mtb trails but that’s ok. Overall very great place and I highly recommend coming here if in the Twin Cities.
Seth Porch
Beautiful park. Great trails for walking/biking. Lots of places to sit around the park. Great playground and volleyball courts. We love this place and walk around it probably twice a week.
John Schuster
Walk up golf, great rates, decent greens and a winter wonderland with a gorgeous new Alpine style chalet and warming house. Biking and walking trails abound. Very family friendly.
Ian Collis
Great park for Nordic Skiing. Plenty of diverse trails with a beautiful new chalet. The walking trails are also great and make you feel as if you've left the city.
Thomas DeWitt
The mountain bike trails here are nice and flowing, a lot of XC stuff, at least on the sections I rode. A bit disappointing at first due to the absolute lack of any technical features and irritatingly hard uphill, but the downhill made up for it.
Andrew Zoller
Excellent XC skiing in the winter. The trails are well maintained and super scenic! Rentals at the newly built lodge make it easy for anyone to get out. Service at the lodge could be vastly improved, though.
Daniel Josefchak
Beautiful park. Spent about an hour and a half wandering the trails and enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells.
Kerstin Johnson
We fell in love with the trails (excellent for running + mountain biking!) and eventually came to love the wildflower garden, as well as the family-friendly beach and playground area. I can't believe this huge park is within the Minneapolis city limits!
PJ
Wirth Lake. Currently boat launch is closed due to infested plant species.
Kevin Carter (Live Wire Productions Inc)
The park is very clean and there are a lot of places to BBQ. Picnic benches are plentiful and spread out so groups are in public yet have enough space for everyone to enjoy the park. There is also swimming available with lifeguards on duty in Glenwood Lake. Bathroom facilities are usually clean and parking is easy.
Nick Mehring
Great cross country ski trails
Aaron N
This is truly a great park to visit. Centrally located in the Minneapolis area, it offers a good number of miles worth of trails. Catering to both the paved and natural wooded trail runners and walkers you can make your way through flat, hilly, heavily wooded and pond areas. Also has nice places to picnic. I wish there were more trail signs as you can get turned around if you don't have a GPS map going. Otherwise, take a picture at the entrance trail maps for reference.
Nate N
Some of the best trails in Minnesota. The new chalet is gorgeous - perfect place to stop for a beer after a long ride on the trails.
Christina Neitz
Very busy sledding hill and popular cross country ski trails. Pop-up Ice Man sculpture was easily accessible from the parking lot.
Jemma Hanson
Great fun. Many walking and biking trails. Family and friends biking and skating. You can walk for at least 3 hours. Parking in the area. I would recommend this park.
Alan Tilson
Great for Flora & Fauna & Sensory Sauntering!
Lars Stenberg
The rare city park that feels like you're in the woods. Eloise Butler is a really unique place where you can imagine what the area was like before the Europeans arrived. Perhaps the polar opposite of the arboretum. Nature unfettered no plantings just wild flowers in their natural state. Nearby lake for swimming, golf course and bike trails make for a great get away just minutes from downtown Minneapolis, one of the least used of city parks it's a hidden gem
Shad Holland
This area has evolved significantly over the last few years. Great Mountain Biking in the summer and great XC Skiing and Fat Biking in the winter! Now with the Trailhead building there is a place to grab a bite and hang out before and after activities!
Mathew
Four nice volleyball courts but you'll need to bring your own lines. Lake is OK but the swimming area doesn't get very deep and is a weedy in parts. Also has a solid playground for the kids.
Haven Evans
Nice walking trails beautiful scenery nice for a date and picnic or fishing or swimming
ty lightle
This is not being cared for the same the Flys were biting more than mosquitoes
Jake Mullinax
Nothing like going for a little foraging in Theo Wirth. Lots of ramps, wild ginger and always on the look out for the beloved morel.
Stacie Riddle
This is a quiet and beautiful little path crossways. It offers a path, recreational information, and has small ponds with ducks in it, too. Really nice spot.
Anna Mier
Locally sourced delicious food. The staff is great, management is less so.They are charging a 15%service charge but the staff does not get it. And because they are charging it they don't get the tips they would normally get.
Graham Fischer
Great park in the middle of the city with mountain bike trails, disc golf and a full 18-hole and par-3 golf courses. There are better parks out there but nothing beats the location of Theo, right in the heart of the city and off of a number of different bike trails.
Marcus Day
I love the parkway from recreational sports, sleding in the winter time to taking Sunday rides during the summer time! Something you have to experience for yourself!
Leslie Gentner
Great job adapting to social distancing. Loved the lady slipper walk w the education boards.
David stroman
The trail system here is a much bigger draw then the playground which needs to be torn down at this point. Lake isn't a bad view but not a very clean place to go swimming.
John Florell
Really great park with biking and hiking trails in the summer and cross country skiing, snow shoeing trails in the winter. They have ski and snowshoe rentals at their chateaux. There is also sleeping and tubing hills in the winter.
ed neal
Great for everything from biking to hiking to skiing in the winter there is a bird sanctuary nearby . and a lake to swim in .beautiful park and it is connects to the lake of the Isles chain down to Lake Harriet . You could paddleboard all the way down. And at Glenwood Avenue and theater worth Parkway there is a Biff handicap ADA for anyone then has to use the restroom all year round
Gavin Hulman
Trails here rip, plus the Trail Head is amazing. Definitely top teir
Josh Becknell
What is not to like about this place? Maybe the golf course. I loathe golf, but they still have an archery range, so they still get 5 stars in my eyes. Otherwise, it's another excellent source of trails to bike or walk. All kinds of idyllic spots where you can commune with trees or make out with your significant other. Or, maybe lots of places to just mutter to yourself with no one around to hear you.
Steve S
A nice playground with lots of adjacent space for running! More than most playgrounds, this one has a lot of climbing features. Perfect for any kids with tendencies to scale whatever objects are around :)
Adam Levy
Theodore Wirth Regional Park is a city treasure. The mountain bike trails alone are amazing but there is also play areas for kids and a wonderful bird area plus gardens. The whole area also has plenty of paved paths to go along with the dirt/offroad trails. Much for the whole family to do!
JerrY Her
Great place to walk and ride bike
Erin Baker
The location is gorgeous and just a mile or two from downtown Minneapolis. It's perfect for the nature lover who needs to get at from the city, even if it's just for an hour. Plenty of walking/running, biking, snow shoeing, X-county skiing terrain.
Jack Anderson
Great place to smoke a stogie and look at deer
Nathaniel Merrill
I have visited Theo Wirth Park multiple times in the last couple of years. Their singletrack mountain bike trails are really fun to ride, and given the proximity to Minneapolis it's an amazing resource to have. Most recently I spent the day at the park for the Loopit Loppet event. The trailhead building is well maintained and great; all of the facilities are well maintained.
Erik Jon
Fantastic skiing in the city.
Bill H
Quaking bog natural area is an incredible area and very unique. The east side of the park has really nice trails.
Ccavemark32
It reminds me of Duluth superior hiking trail, just way smaller and close by. It's the closet thing to nature in the metro and its basicly free, other then parking. I take my kids there frequently and am amazed every time.
Katie Pilrose
We did Seltzer Land here. I didn't know the concession stand was done by Mill Valley kitchen. Prices were reasonable for things that you wanted, and the staff was helpful and friendly.
Erin Korynta
I had a quiet mini picnic on the side of one if the trails and it was so peaceful and well kept. 😌 …
Eric Larsen
I wish I would have more time to walk area. Make sure your phone is charged because there are no maps or directories. If you use google maps and paved trails in park are on there so can help you not get last. Some of tallest trees in MN are to be in this park.
Aviv Uner
Beautiful place !
Very peaceful. I like to take the kids to the playground or to walk on the lake’s “bridge”. Also a great place to play/watch volleyball game. Nice beach
Yon Polinske
In the winter time, there is a good medium size hill to sled. Is across the street from the beach.
Inga Schierkolk
This park is huge and open to all. Has wonderful mountain biking trails, ski hills, access to lakes and walking trails. A place worth exploring.
naveen rawat
Wonderful spot for all sort of winter activities. Beautiful place to view fall color right near downtown minneapolis. Nice trails as well for biking as well as hiking. All in all it has something for you for the whole year to visit.. which being in minnesota is a big thing !!
Andrea Trowbridge
Great place for a short or long walk/hike on paved paths:) there is a lo so a beach but that seemed to have way too many people at for me to enjoy. Also allotbof kids at this beach which I didn't like bc they were all screaming, Music bumping, etc. Sho I think I'll stick to using this park for walking the paths only:)
Andrea Deveny
There is a nice trail for bikes and a separate nice trail for walking. There is a designated swimming/beach area along with a playground for ages 2-5 and another next to it for ages 5-12!
Patrick Finucane
Beautiful park wide open spaces wildlife from turkeys to eagles 🦊 and your neighborhood raccoon bike paths multiple lakes fishing. It is winter so bathrooms are hard to find but there are satilite outside bathrooms if you can find one Hennepin county rules come to our parks but no bathrooms for humans …
john posl
Beautiful summer day for golf.
Amy L
This is such a gem if a place. Friendly staff, great tasting food, and beautiful scenery! Could hang out and play cards, eat, drink, sit by the fire. My new favorite spot.
Cheri East
The park is looking great these days! I just find it sad that until gentrification the park was allowed to languish. As more people who are not people of color, purchase homes in the neighborhood, there suddenly needs to be major improvements made. I grew up in the Wirth park area and they were pressed to keep the golf course mowed. SMH
Bob Ryan
We were there for the Loppet, and the course was perfect. The pavilion is roomy and comfortable, even with 14 Nordic teams and parents, coaches, etc. A great place to ski.
Peg Baier
Beautiful bright day! Paths not all cleared but walking is easy in a low, waterproof hiking shoe. Lovely woods, quiet away from the roads.
Chantelevision **
Awesome place to just hangout and swim with chill people..
Christopher Banks
Beautiful area. Many walking trails, pavilion, swimming area, fishing docks,, volleyball nets, bird sanctuary, all within walking distance.
Tim Tatro
Brought my dog in the evening. There wasn't many people I was able to pick my dog off his leash and play ball with him. Granted my dog listens very well and is well behaved
Nathaniel Allison
Eloise Butler Wildflower Conservatory is a nice little trail with some good flowers along the way. Not too long and pretty flat so good for everyone.
Andra St. Arnauld
They are doing a goos job opening up the gardens to visitors by keeping each group at 3 minute intervals. Be prepared to wait to walk through the assigned areas. All are one way paths now.
Jennifer Skuza
Great ski trails. Well-groomed. Lights for night skiing. Skilled and friendly staff working with the Loppet Foundation.
Michael Hewitt
The trailhead is a fabulous building. Nice place to get warm after hitting the trails.
John Shirley
We are so fortunate to have this great park in the metro. So great to see how all the different users of the trail system get along! Cyclists, mountain bikers, trail runners and walkers and dog walkers!!
John Vang
Theodore Wirth Lake is a great place to walk and play. I took my kids out on the lake to do some fishing.
Jamal Adam
Great park with plenty to do. They have volleyball courts, a small basketball court, beach and plenty of walking, hiking and biking paths.
Audrey Sheffield
Hiking, biking, skiing in winter, picnics, playgrounds, swimming, Theodore Wirth has it all. Hiking maps are practically non-existent, so pay attention to where you are. Mountain biking trails are either intermediate or advanced, no beginner trails other than paved trails along the Luce Line. Public restrooms at Wirth Beach House during the summer, otherwise portable outhouse at Wirth Beach. Playground and picnic areas at Wirth Beach.
Samali Senyana
Beautiful park with nice bike and walking trails. There is a playground for the kids too and beach volleyball by the beach house.
Les Johnson
Great spot to hang out with friends and get a bite to eat
Warren Hess
The cross country skiing is very good. But my wife's rental ski kept falling off due to a faulty binding, and the rental manager was not nice about it and did not refund any money.
Paul Haller
very nice park to walk or bike along the trails. There is a wide variety of trail options, and a nice lake along hwy 55 to go around or fish in.
Brian Lenk
Love the numerous trails through a wonderful woods. A favorite for exploring nature and getting lost in Minneapolis.
Lukas Kraskey

Kai A
Great place for a walk, to picnic at and even take pictures. Absolutely lovely!!! Many bike trail and walking paths. Gorgeous lake!
Tim Saetre
Mountain bike trails are nice. Not super long, but there's enough different routes you can build your own route.
Charles Van De Weghe
Did a socially distanced outdoor picnic with some dear friends. Our table overlooking a small lake. Plenty of space for privacy and be COVID safe.
Samuel Gunvalson
Love going here, the mountain biking trails are killer, it's a pretty park. Lots of places to go. The trailhead center that was recently built is beautiful.
Red Rider
This could be a good mtn biking experience if only the clueless hikers didn't walk into your bike on downhill bike slopes! I won't go back until they keep the hikers on separate trails.
Raina
Nice singletrack friendly to trail running. Park at the volleyball courts at the beach at Lake Wirth and plan on jumping in the lake to cool off when you're done! Lots of mountain bikers.
Muhammad Jiwa
Great beautiful winding trails for walking, biking, both mountain and road. Play and swim area for the kids, overall beautiful place pretty much right in the city!
Steven Deckert
Best xc skiing in the metro. Groomers here are A++. Also fun mountain bike trails that are being added to every year (check MORC website). Cool nature spot right in the city.

Beautiful biking trails, sandy beach, volleyball courts (bring your own lines), cross country skiing, golf course, and much more! Certainly my favorite park in West/North Minneapolis!

Nice spot for weddings!
Christopher Popov
Something for everyone here. Be sure to check out the chalet which has lot of activities and even the Mill Valley Market which has become a truly become a delightful addition to this magnificent park.
Steve Chaney
Nice golf course, but grossly over priced.
Murad Mammadov
Great park in the middle of the cities! Must go if you like casual hiking. Also, great mountain bike trails in the area
Duba Velo
Great mountain biking trails. Every couple years they seem to add to, and improve the trails. There is a section of trail here for anyone to enjoy. Each loop has a slightly different "personality." The North loop is tight singletrack with some technical features. Just north of hwy 55 is a short connector loop with flowing hills. South of hwy 55 is like a combination of the trails North of 55 some tight singletrack and some flow. Between Glenwood and 394 is hilly and has very fun flowy sections. Brownie is South of 394, it has an outer loop that is relatively easy, with inner spur trails that are EXTREMELY difficult to ride cleanly due to their steepness and rocky terrain.
Isaac Sanborn
Love the trails around the lake! I'd like to come back for skiing on their groomed trails from the Trailhead.
Karmen Vander Velden
Awesome park with great skiing and hiking trails! The one down side is parking can be difficult to find at busy times
John A
Best place to go in the Twin Cities if you want to do any winter sports. Lots of snowshoe hiking trails and cross-country and even downhill skiing and tubing and sledding areas.
Christa L
Skiers take note: they have a snow machine.
This wildlife corridor runs along the western edge of Minneapolis, including small lakes, a creek, and the oldest wildflower garden in the US. Amenities include a chalet open year 'round for snacks and #7 bus.
LLAB Electric
Mountain bike trails super fun. All level of trails. Good for kids starting out.

Top notch park. We’ll kept. Lots of great trails for walking and biking.
Bobby Cerza
Fantastic park, beautiful scenery, and fantastic trails! It is very well maintained and the trails are always very clean. Would definitely recommend as a nice calm spot to hangout.
Sparse Runner
Attractive park where we went cross-country skiing. Hire service was decent value and people were friendly but not the best organisation. Disappointing that no traditional cross-country skis were available.
Mike Ungar
Workers are very friendly and helpful. Can't beat the views from anywhere in the park.
Brian Kirui
A very nice place to walk, bike or run. The paths are well kept and the amenities are in a great condition.
Carlos Ariel Estévez Ramírez
Serenity place, really good to relax

Such a pretty regional park just like the other ones in Minnesota!
Worthy a visit definitely
Will come back again sometime
Yader M.
The people at the Chalet are quite helpful, friendly. We had a wonderful time tubing.
Jens Holmboe
The front nine are great with an old world feel. The back nine is like walking up a ski slope. If it weren't for the amazing view of downtown I would say only play nine, but the walk is worth it.
Erick Guevara
Great place but if gonna used the trail make sure there’s no experience bikes on trail they get a bit mad when you slow them Down.
Rebecca Miniscalco
Great park!! So many different trails to explore, great way to get out and get exercise while social distancing!
Nick Peters
Great place to walk the 🐕. Lots of trails for walking and biking. Nice lake. …

Great outdoor spaces, golf course Is a little gem in the city, could use better maintenance, but plays tough as is.

Adriana Ramos
Beautiful trail for cross country and fun hill for tubing. The management keep them pretty organized and clean the common areas.
Peter J.
Good destination for some quick trail biking. A good mix of climbing, with some berms, jumps and other features. Good view of downtown from the top of the Glenwood section!

This sprawling park allows you to easily forget that you're in the middle of the city. Activities for everyone, dedicated hiking and mountain biking trails, and a lake for swimming, and more.
Wayne Brooks
Playground for above 5 and below 5, a specially separated lake space for children to swim with lifeguards at the watch, and multiple volleyball courts, barbeque pits, swings and nicely ethnic demograph.

Theodore Wirth Park and the trails that extend from comprise one of the most unique urban parks in the US. At its heart is Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden, a carefully preserved gem with carefully curated trails that weave past examples of wildflowers and native shrubs and trees.

It made a nice walk, and there are lots of cool ammenitites. The actual 'nature' preserve areas don't seem very well preserved, as far as actually being wild goes.
