The park itself is amazing! There is a covered pavilion with picnic tables, a permanent grill, absolutely the latest and greatest playground equipment, and a nice soccer field with lights (albeit smaller than regulation size)! The only problem was parking. There is one dead end street off of Park Avenue that you can park on, otherwise fend for yourself in the rough neighborhood area. As soon as I saw a spot open up on the road off of Park, I moved my vehicle...see pic of semi-permanent looking homeless "home" on the street I had to park on until I could move when something else opened up..

Just redone a few months ago and is really nice. Great space for kids to run(not crammed). The equipment well laid out and a great assortment of things for kids to do such as: Slides, climbing, swings, pool, obstacles, zipline, toddler area, and much more. Very happy with the time and effort that went into this new playground. My kids said it their new favorite playground in this area!

This summer our family road trip was inspired by the 90's Mighty Ducks movie trilogy. We drove from Palatine, IL to visit several iconic places in the Twin Cities from each movie. This park made our list because Coach Bombay met his team for the first time at Peavey Park. In the scene from Mighty Ducks, Coach Bombay orders his chauffeur to drive the Limo on an ice covered pond to greet his team. The pond is no longer at Peavey Park but my girls enjoyed all the other activities that are clearly upgrades.

Lovely and almost perfectly sited. Wide open and sunny, with more than enough space for everybody there to do whatever they planned without interfering with anyone else’s fun.

Nice location, awesome skyline view, minimal park but just enough, shallow splash pad for kiddos and cooling down, nice spacious fields, sorts dicey location, nice trees and windy trail for new learning bike riders!

Beautiful new playground and soccer fields, plus a splash pad in summer. There are a few park grills and a rec center, though it's not open on weekends.

Do much has changed from the years past. The updates to the park have made it feel safer and more welcoming to the whole family. Bright lights placed in an Abundance throughout the park keep it lit up and easy to stay aware of your surroundings no matter night or day. The play ground has increased in size and nowadays you see it packed full of families young and old on the beautiful warm days.

Fairly clean. This park has a basketball court and a soccer field with two nets. It’s right on Park avenue, Chicago and Franklin avenue. Interesting characters of people visit the park. The park is beautiful during the day.

Great park in the heart of the city. We used the middle basketball court for a roller skate event. There was a slight slope to the court, but we got used to it after a bit. A lot of friendly people came by, some to participate and some to watch. We had a wonderful time!

Lovely park with a great playground, basket ball court, and a big field. There is a pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grills. Plenty of garbage cans that are regularly changed. At night, lights are turned on so you can use the basketball court after dark.

Great place to score some narcs. Your never one step away from hot lead and a shank. And plenty of free used needles if you feel the need. And if your thirsty, feel free to ask the locals for a swig from that 2 liter bottle of Pepsi that's actually filled with cheap liquor. The bathrooms are clean, cop a squat wherever you want when in Rome.

It's in a really rough neighborhood but the community is trying to build it a backup. They did great things this summer by allowing people to camp there. they also had food drives they had stuff for Christmas going on and you can tell that they really want this community to bring itself back together. The park itself is great but you do have to watch out for unfortunately people that are addicted and people that are struggling but remember they are people too. Thank you Peavey Park and Minneapolis Park board.

It was just rebuilt and looks great. However it is not in a great neighborhood. Matter of fact if you're looking to score some crack that's also available in this park😞. This area can be very dangerous. But it has police presence often. Its sad because the park is nice but the people who wander there are not. If you choose to go here be careful.

Great space but rough neighborhood. Often find clothes or food and household items and hygiene. The corner of Franklin and Chicago is a hotspot of activity not suitable for the faint of heart

Nice little park in the middle of the city. Some good shaded sitting areas and play areas for if you have children. It's a good park.

Definitely an upgrade from what used to be peavey filed park kids can actually play at this park and have fun. New pool and lots of soccer running or baseball space to play located directly up the street from Chicago and Franklin where you can find delicious food after you’ve played up an appetite. Definitely recommend visiting this park

Newly renovated - slightly under construction still, but definitely a diamond in the rough: super nice, new playground, athletic fields, basketball courts in a seedy neighborhood. I just hope the locals appreciate it and not treat it like trash - MPRB spent good coin on this park.

Additional NPP20 funds will add an entire second phase spring 2018, with construction of a new multi-use field, playground and central path through the park. A basketball court complex is currently under construction.
