Reviews of Bunker Hills Regional Park
They have a decent size wave pool along with a lazy river. They also have a small wading pool with fun water features for the little ones. Your not allowed to bring outside food pass the gates but they do have areas around the parking lots for grilling or having a snack.
Despite the below 0 weather, what a wonderful experience. I had the pleasure of riding Tilly, she was great. Staff members were very attentive and pleasant. Definitely would love to go again 🤎 …
We make sure to come here once every summer. It's a fun place to be for young and young at heart. Can't bring in food/beverages but can go outside and eat or buy your food there. We were there on a Wednesday and it's was just perfect. We did have to wait for tubes and the slides but not more than a couple minutes. Arrived at 12:00 and left at 7:00. The life guards were nice and on the lookout. We had a great experience and will be back!
Had a celebration at Pavillion #2 in August. All was very nice with the exception that the picnic tables should have been cleaned better, -1/2 star. Loved that the Pavillion is large and far enough off path that it is more private, had outlets, a concrete bar, and picnic tables. Also beautiful purple cone flowers and a bench next to it. It's near flushing toilets and a kids playground which is nice. The Pavillion has hooks around the inside edge which made hanging decor easy, and nice since the rule doesn't allow you to anchor anything to it. That would have been good to know in advance for planning a party. Plenty of trash cans and recycling bins. We really enjoyed our short time here. It is a well maintained beautiful park.
Excellent family party place. Expansive and ideal for families with energetic members. We loved the paved bike and pedestal trails.
Bunk Beach is a total blast! There is so much to do for the whole family - from little kiddos to big! The waterslides are just the right mix of fun and adventure, and the wave pool is too much fun!
So much fun, water is on the cooler side. Food was very expensive and just OK. They line for the food was very long so that was frustrating.
The bathrooms are kept nice and clean, the only thing is they are very humid! They need to install some exhaust fans or some kind of better venting, the water is just running down the walls after someone takes a shower. The toilet seats are super wet and you go to wipe it off and it senses your arm so it flushes the toilet (very strong flush) and splashes water up on the toilet seat... so you're back where you started! Just hover!
Nice place!
I love here. The view is beautiful. I especially like its breadth. I'm a keen walker. This place is perfect for me. And it would be great for you to go camping with your family. And his designs are just amazing. I'm going to be here every day.
This place is huge and has a ton of bike trails. I saw a lot of wildlife and a WWII tank. Best part of the bike trail is the north end where it goes over a floating bridge through the marsh. The campground is nice but be prepared for noise from the nearby train track.
Great place to meet up for a playdate or picnic. Lots of trails! Great playground for the kiddos. I don't use outdoor facilities. My wheelchair tends to get in the way. But my mom didn't seem to have any complaints
I walk my dog here every day. Easily a half dozen options to walk via paned paved paths or paths through the woods. Exploring the campgrounds on foot is great too.
Nice trails for walking and biking. Very nice campground. Nice playgrounds. Activity Center. Horse stable for horseback rides. Wave pool for summer months (new heated pool will be open in 2021). Maps with detailed distance are posted often.
Though somethings are not operating this summer because of COVID19.
Love Bunker Park Stables for hayrides. Bonfires after and supper at the picnic areas.
Great paved trails for walking, biking and running. Well kept up and clean. Board walk was definitely a highlight and the dogs sure didn't know what to think about it, but they were fine. Not the most scenic park in the area, but a good change of pace.
So nice. The rustic does are the best I feel. No close neighbors. And the returns were clean. Area was quite other than hearing music from the pool. But it stops at 7:00. Walking paths are paved and park looks fun for kids.
I tend to give larger parks more love, but that's because they offer a bit of everything and Bunker Hills has it! Horseback riding and tons of horse only trails, paved walkways for hiking, biking, rollerblading and skating, hiking paths, swimming, camping, etc. There's a full playground near a full outdoor dining area right next to the scenic Veterans Memorial as well. If you've never been, do yourself a favor and go!
Great place to walk or bike or blade or just to sit and commune with nature. The flowers at the memorial garden by the information Center are fantastic.
From a hiking standpoint not particularly exciting although the long boardwalk is a highlight. There are busy roads close to parts of the paved trails. They are well maintained.
I took my 12 year old Son and his friend, all 3 of us had a great time. The wave pool of extremely fun and even challenging a bit wit no tube. Great family fun day...
HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking the family...
Had a cabana reserved for my kids birthday party. Was cloudy which turned out awesome cause we had the whole place to ourselves. The $6 MN State Park fee surprised me.
A fun water park with multiple attractions. Wave pool, lazy river, water slides, pool with basketball hoops, and much more. We has a great time for my sons birthday.
Great place to take the family to swim and BBQ.
Great county park with amazing trails and amenities. Go to the horse stable (north side) of the park for free parking and access to all the trails!
Loved the stables and guides that were involved in today's trip. The horseback ride was amazing and the park is huge
I love camping here in the fall. The park covers a huge area.
I wish I had taken pictures. This is the most spacious campground I've ever stayed at. The bathrooms & showers were clean, there were playgrounds, but we didn't go there.
Just stayed here this spring for our first camping trip of the year. Just spent the weekend to visit family. It is a very nice campground and wish we would have had more time to use the trails and other facilities. The only complaint I had was the bathrooms, which were very clean and nice, but had some hot water issues. Hopefully they get the water heaters working again.
Today was my first day at bunker beach with my kids we had a lot of fun today. prices of the food wer reasonable. You can also bring your food but you have to eat in your car or outside the beach .
Great reception at the desk while doing a walk in reservation. Very large sites as we could have fit 2 more class c's on our site. Lots of shade to stay out of the heat and sun. Golf course, riding stables, waterpatk, playground, miles of hiking, running and biking trails. Awesome county park. Great to see it so well maintained. Will definately sray again.
I used this campground. The site was very spacious and private. There are restroom and showers together, and they seem to be generally well maintained. However, there is a little noise because there is a road nearby.
Water activities for young and old, the wave pool is hours of fun for the kids and then you can relax in the lazy river...but there's everything in between to keep you cool. They also have good food for snacks and meals.
You have your choice of paved or unpaved paths to hike. Difficulty levels from easy to challenging. Park is well kept and very clean.
Great time, cool and professional staff. Fun ride overall. We did the trail ride for 1hour for $45 per person. Helmets are free to borrow. Warning, your butt or back will be sore afterwards. Avoid bad posture and try to alternate between sitting and slightly standing with your foot straps.
Had a great time snowshoeing and walking the trails in the snow
It was amazing. I went for my Birthday. Highly recommend. I wish they had horses that could carry up to 400 lbs so some of my family could come.
Beautiful park we had a lovely picnic.
We go to Bunker Beach a really great water park. Small but mighty! Great day trip that's readably priced!
Good place to get away without spending a fortune on gas this year
Trails can be a bit confusing; was glad I had downloaded the trails app prior to going here. Lots of wildlife present.
Clean friendly environment. Great trails, not so big you get lost.
It was a very hot day last Thursday and it was a great place to be to cool off The Lazy River was wonderful we went around about four times and then the wave pool couple times lots of people but we could spread out nice trees all around it was just a great experience and affordable
Huge new park! Kids ranging from 5-9 had fun. Plenty of shaded spots, picnic tables, and huge grass areas to run and play.
Went camping here and enjoyed it, bathrooms are relatively nice and going to the water is a fun activity on a hot day.
Great area to frolf not too many people. Great experience
Great park for kids of all ages, and a great event pavilion site, too!
Me and our little family had a blast today. Thank you Bunker beach.
I didn't have the chance to go through the whole park, but seems beautiful. Not a fan of the pay parking, but I understand it helps keep the park.
Love this park. It has campsites which are nice, paths to walk, run or bike. Bunker beach is awesome. Nice place for family fun
A lot of fun! Busy place. Good for kids of all ages.
We rented pavilion 5 for my daughter's birthday party. It was conveniently located near the water park which her and her cousins enjoyed. It was also close, but not too close to restrooms. (There's enough space as well as trees between them.)
The pavilion itself was clean, orderly, and having power outlets was really nice. It is nestled into the trees providing since degree of privacy.
Great park. Totally worth it to get the year round pass
Great trails and usually keep up with clearing with snow
Park is so well kept and open to all. With so many attractions, (golf, disk golf, horse stables, veteran memorial, wave pool, paved bike and walking trails, camp grounds, archery ranges, ski trails, activity center, dog park, and so much more). It's time to go visit.. Bunker Lake Park in Andover.
We love camping here and the new playground was a big hit with the grandkids
Something for everyone. A water park, picnic pavilions, Vetran's Memorial, hiking/biking trails, camping... $6 per car entrance fee
Peaceful surroundings to try snowshoeing, hidden gem in the north metro. Staff (Mason) was courteous and helpful. Reasonable rental rates.
Nice place to go camping
Beautiful park, but much busier than historical years with everyone rediscovering the outdoors during COVID
Found a good hill for sunset view but the bush is a bit high
Horseback & Pony riding was a blast. Would definitely recommend to others!
Great Place to live that RV life, while staying close to the Twin Cities area. We had a great time with our travel trailer. The spots are spread out enough and enclosed by trees. We felt away from the busy city life, but still close to home. We will be going back later on when the water park is open.
So much fun, 6 big slides, lazy river, rock wall, a couple spots for little ones. Worth the money, tons of fun.
It was a big waterpark with a lot to do. When it came to the lifeguard team it seemed like they didn't want to be there or this was the summer job they didn't want. I really wish there was a clean throughout the day mentality, but it still was a nice place to stay cool and the water slides were the best for sure.
It's a great place for all family's. But when I went these to women were bothering me and my friend. It is fun all the while still.
This park offers everything except a natural beach. They have a nice disc golf course, many trails, camping and tons of other activities.
Love all the walking trails! Lots of pavilions and areas to hang out.
Took a sleighride on a weekend with family/ grandkids. The staff was very nice and accommodating, the horses pulling the sleigh were gentle, and much fun was had by all. Dress for the weather (including cold wind), and bring something warm to sit on (metal benches are cold). The fire pits are a plus - bring fixings for S'mores!
It's an amazing park system but the fact that you need to pay to drive through is a big turn-off.
We went on 6/18/2021. It was a fun family experience. Great employees. They ran out of food by 2pm, however, and didn't receive more until post 5pm. Prepare your own lunch and you'll be good to go! Wave machine was a blast!
Fun place for a wedding reception
Nice place,
Lots of huge ant hills there
This park has it all; golf, disc golf, archery, a giant playground, camping, a war memorial complete with a Vietnam era tank, and oh yeah, The Wave Pool. There's also miles of walking trails and horseback riding. Whatever outdoor activity your looking for, Bunker Hills has it.
Beautiful trails, plenty of places to stop and eat lunch or relax.
This campground has very spacious wooded sites that are situated in small groups of 3-4 so family and friend groups would easily be able to camp near one another while having their own private area. Very nice! Would definitely stay again. Be aware that there is an online reservation fee as well as a daily vehicle pass fee over and above the stated daily campsite rate.
Would like to see more updated equipment and more swings!
This is an excellent regional park in Anoka County, MN. Sites are mostly free during the weekdays and full on weekends. Sites are well manicured with gravel. Most roads are sandstone gravel and some asphalt. Very modern bath house facilities are unisex and shower combined. Fire pits and beautiful picnic tables at each site. Most sites have modern electric and water fixtures (30 and 50 depending on zone.). Sewer dump station is very small and a line backs up to use it on Sunday. Verizon is very poor here and AT&T was very usable for working during the week and then was useless Friday afternoon and on.
Nice place to walk around. Some nice paved trails for walking or biking.
Wonderful park. Not very far from Minneapolis either.
I visited the water park. It was clean, staff were polite. Disappointed that I had to pay for park permit and entry to water park separately. Two fees are ridiculous. (Anoka County?)
Great attractions for the price. Well staffed. Clean grounds. Complementary water stations.
Very nice outdoor water park. Grandchildren loved it.
I like the park but the parking is sometimes a tad ridiculous. I go there to disk golf, have a yearly pass into the park but because of the wave pool I cannot park there sometimes and it is annoying 😑 …
Great walking trails. A few nice loops, so walk length can be adjusted.
Winter snowshoeing and cross country skiing open different areas and paths from the summer trails.
The county does a great job of getting a lot of use out of the area.
Great disc golf place! If you're able to play. 😏😒 …
Good place to host big events for guests up to 100 people. Wife and I did our baby shower here and enjoyed the privacy and fixtures they have to offer. The restroom was very clean and accommodating, too. The only recommendation was i wished the private rooms could be brighter. Overall, it was good and I liked it.
Really nice place to take the family for a bike ride or a walk. Has a nice selection of dirt trial as well as paved trails. If youre lookong for a relaxing spot to ride or do a little bit of off road definitely check this place out.
It's a knife spark, seems very clean and was a great place to hold a family reunions.
Great park however the wave pool ain't what it used to be and the slides and pretty weak too. The lazy river was fun. We did not care to stay over 2 hours do to running out of things to do and so many people in one area. Very busy here but the lines for the slides went quick.
Playground area was full.of trash and food on the ground. This was in the afternoon, it was from the day before.
Worth the trip and the $$. Next year season passes for sure.
Even though there were a lot of people there, it didn't seem crowded.
Great for longboarding. There is a good mix of easy hills and very challenging hills. Highly recommend longboarding. Stay away from the west side trails though, they are rough. The east and especially southeast is where most of the fun is at.
Fun place to bring the kids. Very busy. Wave pool is great. The slides are super fun. $6 parking $16 for a day pass to water park.
Nice big open sites! Water and electric both available for hook up. Will deff be coming back again!!
Even though this is located just outside Minneapolis and still within a metropolitan area it is a slice of outdoors. The campsites are quiet and once you make the turn into the park you forget how close the hustle and bustle of city life is. The campsites were a bit small but well kept. The nearby water park was a great time for the family.
Had my daughter's 10th birthday party here a couple weeks ago. The staff were awesome and so patient with all the kids. All the kids had the time of their life on the trail ride!
Trails are maintained well. Park is always gorgeous. Come here for the water park, camping, golf or pretty much anything and you won't leave disappointed. Tons of wildlife to see in the park, and lots to explore. We are truly so lucky to have such a nice, and large park here.
Live this park. Always clean. Nice, long walking/ biking trails. There is a wave pool that our kid enjoy, (does cost money to go to). Also, there is a decent sized dog park that we often bring our dogs to.
I've been to bunker Beach for many years and it's the most fun place ever I love the wave pool it's just a fun place to go to in the summer and enjoy your self it's not too expensive ethier also there food is really good.
It feels like we are hundreds of miles away from home even though we are 9 miles away. Great place to camp.
A great place to take the kids to play.
A way better place then I remembered. When I went as a teen it was just the wave pool. Now they have fun for the whole family and it's reasonable priced. They have a kids playground/pool, a wave pool, a lazy river, a pool with rock climbing and basketball. Not to mention water slides both body and tube slides. Concession prices on food was decent as well. I will be going back this summer for sure!
Great place to bring kids of all ages.
My dog and I had many memories here every since she was a puppy. She died January 16 2020 two months before her 18th birthday. I'm thankful to have had such I nice place to have shared so many beautiful memories. I would take her riding on my bike and walking. She loved going there so much. Rest in peace my dearest friend.
Lots of space to pitch a tent
The wave pool was really fun and I liked the lazy river, but the park its self was small, the slides were okay, and the concession stands had very long lines which isn't good if you're thirsty. All in all it is a good place to go with little kids or friends.
Had my wedding here. Great big beautiful pavilion. There was a park for the kids, the bathrooms were cleaned head to toe! Parking was just down the sidewalk and of course the ambience of mother nature was amazing!
long looking line but only took about a half hour to get in... kids had a blast
A nice variety of lanscapes, trails and activities. Only disappointment is that they still have no bathrooms or fountains open, yet have port a potties open??????????? Give visitors the option/freedom of using your facilities, its hot, people may need water!!!
Wonderful camping. Every sight different. We had water on site which was a plus as we came in late. Shade most every site. Will camp there again if we get up that way again. Thanks!
Really nice park especially for dog walking
We stayed in a cabin that was i fastest with ants..other than that it was great
Attended a family reunion at Pavilion #3. It was way too small to accommodate your typical Hmong clan reunion. Parking was overflowed onto the grassy area because so many people came out. Park security was accommodating and directed us to park literally anywhere. The area is flat for a soccer match aland multiple volleyball nets to be put up. Lots of trees along the pathways. The larger playground is too much for a toddler, but the smaller one is not entertaining enough either. There's a misting shower pad to help cool off the kids, as there is no shade. Careful not to let the kiddies get burned from sliding down the slides at 2pm on a sunny day. Advice: Bring your canopies, lawn chairs, and portable grills.
I have been coming here since I was a child. I think this is a great park, miles of trails that wind through the forest. There is a stable close by that I have taken my children horse riding. The Wave Pool is also here and is pretty fun if you are a kid.
We take pictures here every fall! We love it! Beautiful scenery and great trails. Always well kept.
Camped here with our travel trailer for a few days while in the area to play Disc Golf at Blue Ribbon Pines and VisionQuest. Super quiet and tranquil setting with lots of trees and nice, open spaces within each campsite. Clean bathrooms/shower facilities located centrally within the camping area. We had a lovely stay here. Highly recommended!
This is a very nice park. There are lots of options for things to do. There are lots of paved trails for walking and biking. There are horse trails and pavilions. There are play grounds and much much more.
Everything seems to be kept up well and we always enjoy our times here.
Such a beautiful Pavillion. It was clean and spacious. The park nearby was a huge hit with my children and the bathrooms were renovated and SO clean.
Long smooth paved trails that are great for walking your dog or biking. Feels like you're in the middle of nature just 5 minutes from the trail head. Lots of fun and not very busy.
Went there for water park, not a lot of rides and all of the ride were not so scary, at least for me.But what more can you ask for 15$. Had a pretty good time. You'll enjoy the time there. There are lot of place outside in the park for bbq.
I love the neighborhood gem! Bunker Beach is getting too popular though
I attended a birthday party at the horse stable here. The building amenities were cramped and dumpy. The horse drawn hay ride was okay. There was no narration or guided watching. The park trails were nice but dull. My 2 year old daughter and the other kids got super bored and we had to sing camping songs to keep them sane. Something to engage the children would have been appreciated (a guided tour, animal watching, scavenger hunt, etc.).
The campsite has spots that are pretty secluded or least give the feeling of it. The trails are beautiful and serene. It's a shame I got rained out before exploring more of the park but what I did see has me wanting to go back.
Great experience. It was a bit chilly when I went. The distance of the trail was ok.( Wished it was a bit longer) We didn't get our horses to trot but its ok. The instructors were great and straight forward with instructions. Over all it was great. I will definitely do it again.
Huge shout out and thank you to whomever grooms the snow on the Bunker Hills Park, Golf Course and Skijoring ski trails! Not sure if it's your equipment, expertise, or a combo of the two...but wow! You do magnificent work and I appreciate you.
Fabulous! Kids had a ball at the wave pool.
Great space. Good trails and tons of things to do. Perfect family outing destination.
This is a nice, large park with good paved trails for walking, jogging, or biking in warmer weather, and good snow-shoeing or cross country skiing in the winter. The park has many gently rolling hills, which make for better exercise. It also has a veterans' memorial, playgrounds, a campground, and picnic shelters in several areas.
Large areas with golf, disc golf, swimming pool, beach, and stables. Lots of paths and trails. Permit or daily entrance fee though.
Was a great place for kids birthday party
Close to the city for a quick camping get away. Has some nice bike paths but not extensive trails. You can sadly hear traffic from within the camp grounds and more annoyingly music/safety announcements from the water park all day.
Visited Bunker Beach. Fun water park. The wave pool isn't freezing anymore!! ❤ Concessions are decent and didn't seem overpriced.
Good place to walk or ride a bike. The park offers many other options too.
Really nice place to go for a walk or take your kids to wave pool, yes I still call it the wave pool. Plenty of trails to walk and bike. They do have horse stables too. There is a fee to get in.
It's a great park, always clean, lots of trails and plenty of places to sit in the shade. Also has a very nice veterans memorial with a tank. Good for playing Pokemon go too.
Lots to do here! The kids liked the wave pool the best. If you have recently been to the Wisconsin Dells the water slides won't be quite as exciting, but still worth going. The Lazy River's current was the fastest we've ever experienced. That was the second favorite! We went on a week day and it wasn't overly crowded.
Was very crowded with no regulation in the kids area. The kids kept sliding down on each other because there Wasn't a life guard that cared enough to stand at the bottom to make sure the kids didn't clash. Most of the life guards are just talking to each other to notice anything happening. The bathroom was disgusting and the floor was soaking wet with who knows what. Cascade bay is better
I didn't see a single person I had to play with myself
Nice small playground next to big pavilion.
Bunker Hills Stables, fun afternoon for my daughter riding the ponies.
Lived next to this park for years. I come back whenever I can. Beautiful place.
Bunker Beach is always a great time. Clean well staffed water park with lots of outdoor fun. 6 slides the lazy River and wave pool are all outstanding
Waterpark is amazing, definitely worth the $15. I think its a bit weird that there is no actual, regular pool; but it was really fun. I recommend getting there before 11 or after 3, thats when it isnt as crazy (and I went on a Wednesday!)
Great variety of hills, water, and scenery. I come here to relax since it’s quiet, usually not too busy, and it brings me joy. It’s well-maintained, clean, and restrooms are available.
Absolutely love Bunker Hills! It is a very good park and only getting better!
Things to do: a lot of paved and non-paved trails, many picnic pavilions for your large or small gatherings with grills near them, multiple jungle-gyms for the kids, frisbee golf, open fields for miscellaneous activities, an activities building for indoor events and gatherings, Bunker Beach waterpark (wave pool, water slides, kid area), the full service campground, horseback riding, multiple veterans memorials as great places to reflect and be thankful, and access to a dog park, are very range, and golf course.
There is a fee side (daily or yearly pass) of the park where you pay the county Park fee (some reciprocity with other counties like Washington County...etc). The fee side gives you access to most of the park to include waterpark, camping, parking near the picnic pavilions, the trails, frisbee golf, etc.
The FREE side has parking up by the activities center and the horse barn, where you can access the rest of the park (with a short walk) via the trail system. You can get everywhere on the paved trails, but there are a few non-paved trails to choose in certain areas.
The park is well kept and very big. With so many options to choose from, it is a great destination for a one stop shop to get out of the house.Plus plenty of restrooms around the common areas
A great park. We love the bike trails and the landscape. A really nice park with playgrounds and plenty of picnic areas. We love the board walk through the wetlands.
Summer FUN! Reasonable lines and large enough for a good variety of water activities for all ages but small enough to visit the whole park and repeat rides. We always have a blast!
They have snowshoe and cross country ski rental at the Bunker Hills Campground Visitor Center. Call ahead to make sure they are open because they are having a hard time staffing the Visitor Center.
Beautiful park! The trails are great for walking or exercising, Bunker Beach is fun for the kids, the disc golf course is good for a quick round, and there are lots of other things to do.
The kids had fun at water park. Just remember you will need to pay to get into the park and if you want a tube you need to rent one too. Seems like they try to nickel and dime visitors.
Great place to go in the summer when its hot! Get there early though as it is a very popular place to go cool off. Great for ALL ages, lazy river, wave pool, slides, zero feet to ?. Highly recommend
Went to a wedding there it was pretty cool had a blast
Very nice trails.
This place has been one of my favorite spots for years. bring wheels, or swim trunks, golf clubs... or just the kids. so much to see. But be prepared to buy the parking pass $5 per day or $25 per year.
Beautiful place for some wedding photos from Winsome Photography
One of our favorite places to walk and enjoy nature.
Great walking paths and trails. Multiple playgrounds. Disc golf. Clean/safe camp sites. Huge water park. Stables for riding and hayrides. Facilities for parties in and outdoor. Plenty of parking, handicap parking too. Biffys provided during COVID.
Beautiful place with lovely walking paths and beautiful open fields. Great place for family pictures if you need them though depending on the time of year you may need to work around the other photographers there.
Quiet and clean. Great amount of trails to walk.
Goodly amount of paved biking trails. We love to hitch our bike trailer and take our kids through the park, stop and have a picnic, and play at the playground. Because we live close, we park at Blaine High School and take the connected path to the park.
Nice place to walk your dog and enjoy the nice weather. You have to pay to go into the park.
Impossible to get water at wave pool when it's super hot. There is no place to get change besides the concession stands with lines you wait in for a half hour. All drinking fountains have a trickle of water not enough to even get a drink. Vending machines are broken. All the high school kids that work there have a serious attitude. They need to allow outside water in if they can not make sure you can purchase water when it's 95°+.
Excellent!! Great for relaxation with friends and family.
We went to the water park. They have five water slide a wave pool and lazy river with some food concessions. Note kids must be 48 inches tall for all waterslides.
Fantastic park right in the heart of the Metro. Campsites are large and relatively private. The stables and horses very well taken care of. We were very impressed with how well this park is managed and can highly recommend this park!
We took the pup with to play a round of Disc Golf. Never have I seen him happier than chasing those disc's. I love this park its a great place to spend a summer evening.
Nice place for kids to play and enjoy. They have a long trails for cycling and walking. Love to go their whenever I get a chance...
Park has everything you need for quiet camping. Sites have 50 amp power + water and seclusion...huge sites overlooking the green of the vegetation. Walking paths, biking paths, swimming pool, lake and on top of everything, minutes from civilization. We had an easy drive to visit Minneapolis, Brooklyn Center, Coon Rapids and would happily stay here again!
I love playing disc golf, and enjoy walking
Always a great place to walk the dogs, bike, or take the kids to the park.
Great nature walk , water park , playground area ,horse rides
I work there it's ok I enjoy yelling at kids to stop runing
Went camping this weekend at the group site and was a very nice place. Plenty of room for 5 plus tents. Convenient bathrooms and water available nearby. Would highly recommend.
If you love the outdoors, great campsites with fire pit, water and electrical hook up. Staying in your site, you wouldn't know that there is a city around you.
We loved it the kids had a blast the wave pool is amazing no complaint. Will definitely be back soon
I went there with my girlfriend for the surly 13nd annual frolf event and it was an amazing course, well jept, def has some water to watch out for so you don't loose discs but all in all it's a beautiful course
Great place with so much to do! From a waterpark, to camping, to hiking and horse riding, you could spend a whole day here! And theres a really nice veteran's memorial as well!
Only issue is they don't allow you to go in early to decorate the room if you rent one of their rooms for a party
Beautiful place to go hiking on the trails.
By far the best park in the Andover/Anoka/Coon Rapids area, and that's including the Coon Rapids Dam. Camping, disc golf, water park, pavillions, a cool military memorial, biking, hiking, horseback riding, golf, archery...this place has everything! You'll probably see deer if you go early in the morning or late afternoon. You'll definitely see waterfowl as you walk along the boardwalk THROUGH THE ACTUAL MARSH AREA! The event center has neat events happening every once in a while, and there seem to be outdoor events like 5k Runs every month or so. Great place for graduation parties or wedding receptions in the pavillions.
Cool in winter, too!
Just an all-around nice piece of land for outdoor activities.
Nice large park for Family Time!!! It's for ALL ages!!!
a couple of the people working the waterslides were really fun, splashed the people waiting, spun singles going down, and pushed the doubles down really fast
What an awesome park. Miles and miles of walking trails, picnic areas, wildlife, and even a campground that's back in there somewhere. A fun place to wander around and get lost, in a good way.
And clean the roadways all the way through the park even to the where you come in from the north side and you stop at your second sign after the belt little.go straight East you block that where no one can go back there and walk down there around and everything else that's foolish open the park up our taxpayers pay you to keep that Park open.
Good place for walking, I would warn that there is low-observance and I have personally ran into some weird/drug related issues. So don't allow young kids around at night.
My eight year old still talks about riding the ponies, even years later! Riding their ponies is better than me having to buy her one myself. ;^)
Disc Golf course isn't the best in town but it's great. Watch out for the poison ivy in the later summer/fall. I usually bring my dog with and she loves it here.
bike trails wind throughout the park and over the lake
So much to do! Get a season pass, they aren't expensive. They keep the park up really well as well.
Staff are great! Horses are manageable. #outdoorafrominnesota 😀 …
This place has great camping at private sites not to far from the twin cities. They also have some great bike trails and bunker beach is a bonus.
Great place to have a walk or just bike around. Beautiful trails and some good scenery I'll say.
Lots to see and always pretty.

Wow! Bunker Park is really growing. I love the versatile types of having fun. I grew-up in Anoka and have watched many things built for our enjoyment. The Park patrol makes me feel safe incase we have troubles. EXCELLENT
One of the best parks in the state and it's not far away from the Twin Cities.
We will camp there again
Bring extra long, long, water hoses. Water only on every 4th campsite. Quiet camping and lots of stars at nigjt.
Great park! Wonderful walking trails that are well maintained.
Looking forward to exploring their walking paths in the future. Very easy access.
The trails are beautiful as well as the veterans memorial. The park is nice, but way too crowded during covid.
Love the trails. Clean beautiful campground. Huge park area. Vets memorial is very nice. Lots of things to do and see!
This place is very nice and staff are seriously working around the clock to make sure that guest are following safety protocols!

This place was alot of fun! A bit pricey but they do have coupons on-line. We went during the week, it was busy but not overly crowded.
It was just okay. Long wait for concessions and needs a larger area for open swim. But we still had a good time.
Kids had a good time.
Great trails. Awesome waterpark. Nice camp sites. All around wonderful place to have in the city.
Fun place to take in all the nature. Lots of trails. Playground areas for the kids. Great places to do family pictures.
Was here for a wedding. Very nice place, excellent food. Enjoyable outdoor area.
Always enjoy a visit to the park. Great walking paths and other fun activities including camping.
Nice park close to our home. Paved bike trails, water park, camping, and x country skiing in the winter. Worth going to.
Great trails for walking/biking etc. Great park for kids as well.
Great park and campground. Feel like you are out in the country even though you are in suburbs. Friendly staff. Nice walking trails

Great fun for all ages! Very clean facility with great water attractions. A summertime must!
Great campsites, providing reasonable cover. Not stack on top of one another. Clean restrooms. Plenty of trails.
Trails have a great variety of hills and shade. Clean facility great playgrounds.
The thing I like about Buncker is they are right in the city but still away from the hustle and bustle of city. The toilets are clean and the staff is very friendly.
The best part about bunker is the Bunker Beach.
Great camping with horse riding, water park, and disc golf available!
It is a very good state park or county park idk or it's somthing it has really good trails and a very good memorial a very big park

Great paved walking trails. Big enough for bikes or a stroller. Nice playground and a HUGE pavilion for family gatherings.
pretty crowded but it all good . service good. no too many option for waterpark fun.
Very nice lot sizes, very private.
Great place to camp
A very extensive trails to ride, walk or jog through. The trails are hilly, beautiful views, horse trails, children's park, wave pool, disk golf and camping.
It was fun but service mediocre. Concessions too expensive. It should be half price after 4 to get in.
Fun. Woods. Not great lake. Trees. Berries that numb mouth. Fun. Walk. Walk. Dogs! (:
Great water slides. The "lazy river" is a nice way to relax between water slides and the wave pool. Never seems to be overcrowded.
Love the paved trails! Biking is good. Love the 10 mile loop. But there are even more trails.
Beautiful park with a lot to do. Bunker beach is pricey but fun. There's nothing quite like it in the north metro
Decent paved and non paved trail system. Mostly flat, but a short loop (~2 miles) with some decent hills.
Super nice place, very clean and multiple pools for all ages; along with different sized water slides too!
This place has horse stables, a water park, golf course, campground, and miles of trails for walking. Wonderful for recreation of all kinds.
You can go horseback riding here. Large park lots of fun stuff to do.
This park is well maintained with numerous activities to keep an outdoors person busy. Why not take advantage of it when its right in our backyard?
Great space for pictures.
I like all of the paths you can take. Its nice that there is a park too. Very friendly people here. There is also different views and its not all the same.
Great place to cross country ski. Rentals are cheap. Trails are beautiful. Staff is easy to work.
Only stupid part about that place is the fact that you can't wear goggles and kids can't wear the life jackets on the slides
Has an 18 hole golf course, a long frisbee golf course, horseback riding, camping, miles of bike path and many great Parks for a kids to play on.
Clean, well staffed County Park. Amusement park within the park along with camping, nature center and horseback riding. Maybe the nicest County Park in MN
Fun but parking is $6 day otherwise $25/30 a season. Advise walking trails or biking into the park.
We come here almost every Fall for the hayride. It's pretty chill, the kids can jump off the wagon and run behind and they stop in the middle for the kids to run up the sand hill!
Love it. It was a great place to go for walks see other things thear to.
Wonderful paved trails for walking and biking. Several excellent playgrounds. Nice, large picnic shelters.
Nice little 9 hole disc golf course I like to play. It tests most skills. Only downfall is the cost.

Very nice park, lots of entertainment options, great facilities, good camp sites.
I'd rank it higher, but paying $6 for parking to go to a picnic seems like a lot.
Great course! Definitely recommend playing a round or 2 ! Lots of ace potential.
Shared a group camp site, decent fire pit, nice lit bathrooms
Favorite park system in the State!
Has some great facilities, but you shouldn't drink from the drinking fountain, they contain high amounts of Fluorine.

Riding stables have excellent choices on horses. Trails very well groomed.
Well organized equines for rent. I kind of wish the "pony ride track" was a little longer.
