Reviews of Keyser Pond Campground
Lori AV
Well maintained cabins and RV's rental campgrounds with lots of fun community activities and friendly helpful staff. Small store in office, large rec hall, small BBQ pits at each site, and short walk to Dunkin Donuts. Very peaceful, affordable and pleasant stay.

This has been my go-to campground for years. Owners and staff are great, activities and a beautiful pond. We went this weekend and I ended up leaving on Saturday morning at 11am and coming back to get my stuff on Sunday morning. They have a caterpillar infestation and although I know this isn’t their fault, a heads up would have been nice. I have been camping for years and I have no problems with bugs but the ground and trees looked like they were moving, it was raining caterpillars and it took us hours to clean our gear to make sure we weren’t carrying these things home to ruin our yards. A heads should be given, at the very least. This was the least enjoyable trip. Picture is 10 minutes after parking.

Peaceful location on a small lake. Friendly folks. Lots of activities. Utilities work well and wifi was quite sufficient. Some of the areas are a bit tight for bigger rigs. They also have a silly wrist band that they insist you wear at all times in the campground. They really need to drop that nonsense. Otherwise it's a nice place to camp.

This was our first year staying at Keyser Pond Campground, and it won't be our last! We love everything about this place. If you are looking for a fancy schmancy, commercialized campground- this is not it. BUT... If you are looking for a peaceful, family owned, family run, and family focused place, then I highly recommend it! The owners- Jen and Eric- are very attentive and really care about their guests. The Pond is beautiful and is great for canoeing, fishing, swimming, or kayaking. Lots of family activities, always something going on for everyone, great beach, and very friendly seasonal campers too! We have been 3 times this summer and feel like we've been going there for years. It is just a few miles to downtown Henniker where there is a pharmacy and grocery store and restaurants if you feel like you need to venture out into civilization. But I'm betting that once you are here...you won't want to leave.

Keyser Pond Campground is a great place for family camping. The owners and staff are friendly and professional. They helped us level and plumb our camper on the site. We had visitors guided in so they could find us.
The pond makes such nice scenery and the water is already warm enough for swimming in late May.
Camping is a great way to have some normalcy during Covid19 while maintaining social distancing sitting around a Campfire with friends.

Amid Covid19 pandemic, spacial distancing camping, large sites and amenities. Friendly staff and very clean. Masks available in very well camp supplies store. Sandy Beach open with docks. 2020 Memorial day weekend was warm and sunny. Rest and relax and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.

This is a great place for adults and kids. Staff is friendly and attentive. They do not ride around in your face as one had stated (The guilty seem to cry the most when they are being guilty). They are always busy and helping everyone. There are many long time seasonal and weekend campers here who love this place. They have activities for young and old, with a nice size beach on the pond with rental equipment at a VERY reasonable price. We have a seasonal site and are quite happy with it. You won't find better people!

We were about 2 hours away from this camp site traveling from Conway New Hampshire. Calling ahead, the most helpful and kindest person on the other end of the line was so eager to help us accommodate the 24 foot RV. Altogether equipped with power and light, the price was more than comfortable. They have it all here! Kayaking, swimming, hiking, firepits, and so much more! Keyser Pond Campground, thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to visit you again in the future.
Kenneth Ritenour
Good place to visit. Full hookups. Staff very friendly.

This is a tough one. Stricty from a tent camping point of view, this is a 2 star campground. The tent sites are small and not very level. They are adjacent to a major highway with 24 hour traffic. Also, they're located in the seasonal area of the campground, which gives it kind of a mobile home park vibe.
But this campground offers more than that. There's a decent rec area with pool, air hockey, ping pong, corn hole boards, basketball, and a ton of board games. There's "mini golf" but there's a fee and it's in pretty bad shape. My kid did think it was hilarious trying to play it though. There's also shuffleboard for a fee, but it's literally under the only basketball hoop. They have a couple of beach like areas where you can swim to a dock or rent boats (very reasonable fee).
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathroom by the tent sites isn't great. They were pretty dirty and I was told that the woman's didn't have soap all of Sat. The bathroom by the office is decent though.
My kid said that it was one of their favorite tent camping places, so that's why I gave it 4 stars.

This place served our purpose for a one night stay while traveling. It’s very tight in the campground, so I wouldn’t go with larger than our 32’ 5th wheel. You have to wear an arm band proving you are paid to be in the park, and you have to pay a $10 gate key deposit at time of reservation, which is refunded on departure, which would indicate there have been issues in past. Quiet time was observed as was dog on leash. Campsite has a picnic table and fire pit.

This is exactly what I love in a campground. If you’re looking for a camping resort, keep looking. But if you’re looking for a small, quiet, cute place then get a waterfront site! We were driven to our site and guided back in by the owner. We have a beautiful view of the water from our firepit with a pretty spacious site. Things were relatively quiet around here! It’s a great spot for fall camping! They do have some amenities like playground, weekend activities, basketball, horseshoes, mini golf, shuffleboard, kayaking…. But we didn’t need them because we had such a nice time relaxing at our site! trashes located throughout, 10 second walk to get to the closest one! Dog friendly too! Bugs weren’t even bad either! Prices are super reasonable for a full hookup! Thanks for a great weekend!

Kudos to Jen, Eric and their family and staff. This is our 2nd time staying here and absolutely love the campground and the serene tranquility and well kept grounds. From the time you check in to your departure if you need anything, have a question or an issue Jen and Eric and right there to help. Always a great conversation with them also.
If there is an issue that can be fixed it is rectified immediately no questions asked.
Thank you guys for everything...until the next trip 😊

Great little place! Owners make rounds constantly and check to make sure your stay is going well. Very personable! The area is clean and quiet and everyone mostly stays to themselves except for when they are giving a friendly wave.
We enjoyed some kayaking on the lake. They had tons of available kayaks, life vests and the rental fee was VERY reasonable.
Most people seemed to be in pop up campers though we saw a bunch of 5th wheels too. I think the lots have more than enough room for pretty much any RV you could think of though we stayed in the ADORABLE cabin.
Love it and can't wait to visit again!

We just left yesterday and can not share enough amazing things about this place! My fiancé and I loved it so much that we ended up actually extending our stay! First and foremost check in was so easy! The office staff are kind and eager to help out in any way they can. After we got down to our site, the owner himself came down to welcome us and Introduce himself, which for us spoke volumes on what a welcoming campground this was! We often saw staff patrolling which made us feel so safe, especially since we had two young children. The bathroom and showers were always clean and they don’t up charge for everything in their store like most places do! The boat rentals were easy and cheap as well. We got a waterfront campsite and it was beautiful! We will definitely be back for next camping season. My kids are already asking when we go back!
Sarah Twomey
The tent campsites are right next to the highway and it was so loud I had a hard time sleeping. Also, the pond is closed because it’s not safe to swim in. Had I known that I probably wouldn’t have stayed here but the employees didn’t mention it when I booked. The employees were nice and the prices are fair but the noise of the highway ruined it for me.
Brian Mensinger
Sites are quite small and crowded together. A little too cramped for my style. Nice people though. We had a good time.
Michelle Silva
Second time here this year rates great staff are awesome helpful with all your needs can’t wait for next year
Becki Malandrino
We’ve been seasonal campers for 3 years and have loved every minute. The owners are super attentive and the campground is well maintained. Presence of staff around the grounds makes us feel more secure and we enjoy their social visits. The store offers most of the items one might forget at home or need in a pinch. Plus lots of ice cream!
Denis Petit
Great place to stay! Jen and Eric are attentive and very responsive. They have activities for all ages, keep a clean facility, and have been doing updates to the campground.
At Keyser Pond, you get the cleanliness and organized campground like the larger chain-type places, but you also have the personal, caring staff that a family run facility offers.
Highly recommend...

We averaged $30 / night for W/E50/S with our Passport America discount ($45 / night without). Our back-in, dirt site was partly shady and overlooked a nice lake. However, our site was less than ideal. Our site sloped a lot from back to front as the 6 to 8 inch difference between our front and rear tires made it a challenge to level. As a result of this slope, the sewer hookup in the back of the site ran uphill. The water hookup was in the back of the site on the passenger side and opposite of our wet bay. Other sites were very close. Internal roads were narrow with a couple of tight turns. Upon arrival we were escorted to our site traveling the wrong way since our 37 foot motorhome would not be able to navigate a tight turn traveling the correct way.
We stayed here while visiting family in the area. While we did not see sites in the area, it is convenient to both Concord and Manchester.

Been a seasonal for almost two years now and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Staff is friendly and they offer a lot of activities on the weekends. Reasonable pricing on everything from the store products to rental of kayaks and etc.
Chandra Davis
Great staff. Minus they guy who told me to move my car. We could only have one vehicle at the camp site which was fine but the car I was moving to visitor parking was not unloaded we had been there 30 min and were still setting the camper. Pond isn't good for swimming. But they had boat and Kayaks for rent which was great. And offered activities throughout the weekend. I would love to visit again. Their store was good in selection and decent price
Britney Wright
Lovely views of the lake. Staff is extremely kind, courteous, and helpful! Definitely a great place to visit.
Donn Kelly
EXCELLENT...I recommend the new log cabin for people who want a home away from home. You can bring or buy your own food and te kitchen is wonderful. The loft 🛌 🛌 beds for two kids Queen bed 🛌 down from the loft. Plus the couch turns into a twin bed. TV. Fire pit. It camping but luxurious compared to tenting. Had a great time fishing 🎣 . Plus, the activities. We loved it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Holly Purpura
Definitely a great little campground. Clean, quiet and friendly. Can't wait to come back!!!
David Morton
Quiet and well kept. The staff and all the seasonal people are very friendly. They offer fun activities for the kids and adults. Been going here for years and am looking into become seasonal. Started off tenting and just rented a camper this last time. Very clean inside, huge screen house attached and private dock. I definitely look forward to many more years there.

This is our 2nd visit this summer with our Granddaughter and we had a great time. Owners are super friendly , bike friendly for kids, neighboring camper are friendly. We had a site over looking the lake ( hottest week of the summer and the lake was not swimmer ready. No fault of anyone but Mother Nature), although it made for a great scene to relax and take out my paints. We will return again!
Connie Webb
We enjoyed our stay here. It was not full and we were given a spot that sat alone, which we like. If the campground had been full, the spots would be best if you like to be friendly with your neighbors. Great place for families!
Kerry Robillard
Keyser is a lovely campground with all the amenities, laundry facilities, showers, recreation hall, boat rentals and more. The owners are family oriented and dog friendly, and offer a regular schedule of kids activities, from candy bar bingo to movies on the beach! For the adults there are horseshoe tournaments and much more. We have camped there for several years and it's become a joyful family tradition for our kids and grandchildren too. A must visit.
John “Birdorr”
My wife and I were looking for a warm friendly place to stay this past weekend. Eric and Jennifer were the perfect hosts and so helpful in every which way! Even keeping our "social distance" they assisted us through some complicated times with a new rig. I would visit and stay 1000 times over...Wonderful down to earth people...that were there to make our stay amazing!
Christian Heredia
It's a decent place for maybe an older crowd. Not alot of incentives and management is very in your face constantly driving around on patrol. Alot better camping out there. Also the pond could use a good raking. Very mucky. Overall needs some modern touches and more activities. On the bright side the owners are very nice and helpful and this place is quiet and well kept. Very clean.
Terry Vanella
First camping trip here, everyone has been wicked friendly. We will be definitely back next month:)
Kim Bronson
The new owners are great people. They are willing to help you with just about anything. It’s very clean and well kept due to their hard work and the employees they have. I would recommend this camp ground to anyone. My husband and I have been very pleased. Also animal friendly!
Shelly Gillett-Behrens

Codie Gardner
Nice campground. My family and I have been going there since I was 4. Have a lot of friends that are seasonal and big fish to catch in the pond. The playing equipment and the pond scum could be fixed up and removed. Recommend to families looking for a great get away for the weekend. Relatively low prices and friendly people.
Miriam Nordstrom
Fantastic campground! Family owned and run. We loved our 4 days here! Nice beach area for activities. Everyone is super friendly. We felt right at home
Melissa Surprenant
Good place to camp. Had to bring my husband to the ER the last night we stayed there. Let them know that I might have to have the camper on the site a little longer and they were totally ok with it and would not charge me more for it.
Nicholas Lepine
Went there for vacation with the fiance and little one we had an absolute amazing time plenty of things for the kids and adults to do and we already booked our second trip back there soon
Jim Flanagan

Carrie Minehart
We love camping here. Very nice friendly location.
HENRY Henry
Clean with ample site on a pond. Fishing, boating, etc. Great general store. Everything you need is there for your camping needs. Pool table and other arcade games also.
Deborah Toupouzis
Confusion about whether the pond was safe to swim in or not. Bathrooms were kind of far from the campsites and the sites easily flood in rain. The showers were confusing too. Overall ok experience there but probably will try somewhere else in the future
Amanda Kennelly
We love visiting Keyser. Always family friendly with activities and fun things to do. We make a point to visit every year!
william sayers
Ok ,,, here we go
1, The staff is awesome, friendly and genuinely care about your stay,
2, we are from NJ and my wife stayed there for 2 weeks by her self, to be near our new grandchild, I was nervous being so far away, I cant say enough about how they treated her 100% top notch,
3, the grounds are clean and the efforts the owners are putting into it shows they want it to be a pleasant experience,,
4, it's what a campground is supposed to be, play ground swimming and a they have a BIG room with board games and such for kids to play,
Very well worth the price for the stay,
We WILL BE BACK,
Sarah Turgeon
This is our second year coming here and we love it but if there is one thing I would change is the size of the big beach area as when there are a lot of people in the water there isn't much room to get around and into the water.
emile tremblay
Good campground to bring the family. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice and clean bathrooms and plenty of things for the kids to do

Clean sites, nice playgrounds and nice activities for younger kids. Only minor inconvenience one car rule at site. Office should be better marked, hard to find after dark.
