Since every scout is taught from their very first meeting, when you are in an environment where you don't naturally belong, you 'Leave no trace'. As such this is a very well maintained, multi-purpose campground with great hiking, boating and fishing areas and a variety of different campsites big enough to accommodate your den. Campsites include ample space for pitching a tent and have cabins on the perimeter, along with fire pits and outdoor meeting area/shelter. Bathrooms on site with flushing toilets and spacious showers are available and were very clean

I am proud to call myself a 2022 Crooked Creek staffer and 2021 Crooked Creek camper. This camp offers such an incredible programme, and the staff work tirelessly to help each other and the participants. I have never seen a truly bad participant, everyone maintains that a Scout is Kind and practices it 24/7. From the facilities & ranger staff to campsites to camp staff and of course the participants, 3C is an incredible place and I personally recommend you to bring your Scouts here.
I may be a little biased seeing as I worked here this summer, but I was a camper last year. First time at this camp after going to Roy C. Manchester for 4 years. I instantly fell in love with 3C and applied to work here. The camp always gives 120% and never seems to falter. Bev is an incredible Health Officer, and any injuries you may hear about are usually exaggerated and are always expertly handled by Bev at any hour, day or night.
Anomalies and The Real Deal
At 41yrs old, I still remember coming here and participating in Jamborees, klondike sled races , I believe the C.O.P.E. COURSE was there with a super cool zip line... May be thinking of Camp Friedlander. Anyhow. I recall many an early breakfast at the mess hall, then going for an early morning fish. Then working on merit badges. I can't believe all I needed to do to become an Eagle Scout, was the service project. I wish it was getting a GED or later years getting a high school diploma. I have many good memories, and a few tough ones. All made me the well rounded, multi fauceted, man and survivalist that I am today. Every kid in scouting should spend some time here. They will know regret it. Thanks for the memories. Stay true to yourself.

My troop came here for two or three years while I was a Boy Scout, being based in Cincinnati, we eventually opted for a place closer to home and easier for the parents to visit. Some of the campsites are pretty far from the mess hall, trading post, and other activities, so getting to merit badges and meals could be quite a hike, but scenery is beautiful, full camp bonfires had ridiculous and hilarious skits ( my troop liked to do the lumberjack song from Monty python) food was ok. Most if not all campsites had just the green canvas tents ( which double as scout ovens in the summer haha). would totally recommend this place if it’s not too far away for your troop.

Okay anyone that doesn't rate this camp five stars is simply wrong. This place is the greatest place on the entire planet. It has amazing buildings an amazing landscape and staff changes every year so if someone wants to complain about staff just wait til next year. It'll be great trust me I know a lot of people who are usually on staff and they're amazing this camp is amazing best place on the planet not even just for summer camp but for everything else we use it for as well this council is great this camp is great I love scouts 👌

This Boyscouts camp is bigger than it looks when you first get there. It's got a lovely little lake, swimming pool,& eco lodge. The camp sites are nice and most are in really convenient little spots. Don't be fooled though, there are lots of hills and to go from place to place is some hiking. I'm happy my Boyscout and his troop get to experience this place.

Great place for Boy Scouts to have fun and learn a lot of new skills. No cell phone service in most areas adds to the reality of rustic living or at least how life was up until very recently. Beautiful place.

A great place to hike around if it's open. Would've loved to have been a Scout here as a kid. Definitely reminiscent of childhood nights camping with my own church family.

My son attended their winter NYLT program. He learned a lot. Enjoyed the super cold weather that week. Earned a snowflake to go along with his acorn. Ending ceremony was funny and enjoyable. The boys really seemed to have enjoyed themselves.

I really enjoyed this camp. There were many things to try like archery, skeet shooting, target shooting, canoeing, hiking and more. The camp grounds and lake were awesome. We even had an earthen dam and fossils to explore. Loved it!
