This is our favorite park in little rock! I have grown up and frequented alot of parks around little rock and North little rock area, this is by far our favorite. They offer wifi, street hockey court, multiple ponds and playground for the kiddos as well as horseshoe and dog parks. Wide open area lots of room to run and play and be solitary if wanted. Couldnt be happier with the park and people. Thanks

Been going here since I was a kid. Love the historical displays and just the history of this facility. General of the Army Douglas MacArthur was actually born in this building. His father was transferred when he was 6 months old. You should come visit every chance you get!

The pond provides recreation for kids and adults who wanted to fish. They stock trout in winter and cat fish during summer. I would recommend not to feed ducks there as their huge population already of them. They organize catfish tournaments (The Big-Catch) 2 times annually which draws huge crowds, where there is music, food and entertainment along with prizes at end of it. i hope they maintain the pond clean and its surroundings.

Newly re done, so many things added. Both for kid's and adults alike. Nice view of downtown. Right on the river. Come play, walk, or just grab a bench and enjoy watching the boats on the Arkansas River.

Nice park for the kiddos if you are in the down town area and don't want to drive all over the city. They have ducks and geese that you can feed, but they can be be a little aggressive.

So, I solely went for the dog party. Please keep that in mind for my review. The dog park was awesome as it was very clean and offered plenty of roaming room. Plus they had multiple water sources for my Husky. This was crucial as it's the middle of summer and......... well... he's a Husky. What I thought was really neat is they had a seperated gated area for small dogs adjacent to the main park. Not that this applied to my Husky but it was still super dope!

Its a beautiful park with lots of adorable ducks. Although its not really a great place to fish like it advertises. The ducks will always get to the fish before you and therefore there aren't many fish for other people. They do restock the lake but not frequently enough and, as I said, with the ducks, there aren't enough for everybody. Although its a great place to ride your bike through as it has a biking trail too. And directly across the street there is a dog park if anyone is interested in that.

Lots of room to walk. You can fish or go to the playground. Can't wait for the new building to open. The ants are really taking hold of the park. Sit on a park bench and get bit by the ants. Today they're dredging the pond. It's a yucky job with piles of wet mud on the lawn.

The dog park is the best in town. I go there every day. There are water features for the dogs, the space is pretty large, and there is grass, so it isn't very muddy or dusty.

5K run to provide a children's park at the McArthur Park Museum. I've done this race (In a wheelchair.) all 16 times. Thanks to frmr Sec. Of State Sharon Priest, the Downtown Partnership and the McArthur Park Museum Commission, every dime of the runners' entry fee over that time has recaptured the Park/Museum from drug dealers (etc.) and turned it into the showcase historical area it is today. (Not forgetting the sponsors, plus all the beer and pizza you want!) Shameless plug for you to get out on the 1st Friday evening each May to run or walk the very safe course and keep Gen. Douglas Macarthur's birthplace alive! Plus beautiful grounds and play areas for family. Fishing pond, dog run and Korean War Memorial. (Just come by. 2nd left turn off 9th Street from I-30 in LR.) Uh, front lawn currently being remodeled. Museum open!

Loved the animal atmosphere. All our dogs played with all of the 10 other dogs at the park. Today was a great day celebrating moms bday. We all had a blast even through all the original barks. We i ld suggest this for anyone with or without animals. All animals need love!

It was very peaceful, there's some construction going on but other than that it was nice. I saw a woman catch a Rainbow trout from the pond. The geese were checking to see who had food for them and the fish were jumping. It was a nice day.

I LOVE bringing my kids to this park. We can come every weekend in the month and do something different from feeding the ducks and geese to an afternoon in the art museum to a day at MacArthur's home turned military museum! Everything (museum wise) is free with a donation welcomed. The children's theater is just as fun for adults as it is for the kids and it fits our small entertainment budget. Love this place!

Went to an art show nearby and took a walk in the park. My friend and her little ones loved it. We enjoyed seeing all the ducks and geese and feeding them. Daughter wants to cook one of them. I'm curious as to when hunting season opens in that park, lol. Anyway, if you go, take some bits of bread or something and take time to feed them. It was a great time.

Nice park to go watch and feed the ducks, plus watch the dogs play at the dog park, however, they only have one restroom, which is located at the southeast side of the park, water fountain doesn't work, and you see some shady looking people hanging out around the restroom area at all hours of the day and night. And it's obvious what goes on in and around that restroom. Anyone reading this review, if you bring your family here (kids, etc.) please keep an eye on them whenever they have to use the park restroom. There is also homeless people sleeping inside the restroom. I've seen it with my own eyes..............

Such a pretty park. We messed up and took our dogs around midday and neither likes water very much, so they got hot quickly. But even in the short time they were there, they ran around and enjoyed exploring the dog park.

Stopped here because of the monument commemorating the first human dissection in Arkansas back in 1847. Who knew?? After finding the monument we enjoyed the other outdoor amenities everyone else talks about. The park is well kept and enjoyable to walk through. Bring the dogs, kiddies, even your mother in law - all will enjoy!

This place is amazing. I love being able to walk across the skywalk and see the long stretches of highway when jogging through the park. MacArthur Park is a beautiful place. There you'll see many ducks and that's something I always admired.It's the only park I know that's considered unique in its own way. For those who like to fish It's a place where fishing can take place at any given time. MacArthur Park even has and provides a 🐶 dog park, a🎾 tennis area, a place for kids to play and have fun. And off to the side a Museum and other historical views. When I want to get away I go there for quite time and relaxation. Check it out

Always like to go here and take walks and fishing and pictures it's just a beautiful environment plus they're building the museum beside it so that's a great attraction but if you're a fish lover that's the place to be they stock at every 30 to 60 days

I haven't been here in years though I practically live across the street and I went this evening around 7 to get in some cardio. Was honestly surprised at how active it was ( I don't workout outside much haha) at such an hour but most of the people were out by the dog park. Will definitely be coming to this park more.

The park is nice and has a lot to look at. There were a few homeless folks wandering around but they don't ask for help. They just wander through. There is some good history shared throughout the park.

Cool little park for picnics with a playground for younger kids. Swings were really rusty though. Sand everywhere. Not much to look at. The Museum is temporary closed as well.

Far less crackheads there than I remember growing up... (This is a good thing). Free parking, public fishing (license required), and plenty of ducks and geese to throw bread at. Right next to the art museum, so it makes a nice yet cheap outing.

I love this park! Its spacious without being too big with rocks for the doggos to climb, water fountains to drink from for those doggos too affraid to climb into the tubs they have provided with a pump and hose attached to rinse and fill them.

MacArthur Park has a great collection of views and a wide selection of open spaces and walking paths to be had. The only downside for the park would be the large amount of aimless homeless who frequent it in the evening hours, and the equally large amount of goose refuse that clutters up the sidewalks. Walking around can be a bit of a minefield.

This museum is a must see if you like military history. It's right next to the Arkansas Arts Center, has beautiful walking grounds, a dog park, fishing lake, and the firefighters hostel is next door, which is a neat museum, too. The MacArthur museum is in a historic building, mostly focused on World War 2, and if you want mystery they offer that, too.

Big fields for frisbee or other games, great for kids. Also has two fenced in dog parks, one for small dogs and another for large dogs, often with a lot of dogs present. Ducks or geese are usually present too which kids might like.

This park is near and dear to my heart. I went to elem. school and lived near the park as a child. A lot of fond memories that i cherish. The park has changed over the years but the warmth and hospitality hasn' t. I go back and visit every chance i get!

This park has improved a lot in recent years. The dog parks (one for large dogs and one for small dogs) have sprinklers for the dogs to run through, fountains for people and dogs, and hoses to wash the dogs off with. The pond is stocked with fish by the AGFC and has ducks and geese. The Arkansas Arts Center and MacArthur Museum of Military History are also in the park and both are free.

Greetings from me to you. Speaking in general 🤔 MacArthur Park..is a very outstanding place to sit, listen observe and meditate on the gift that lise within our every breath. I enjoy going to MacAthur Park , not having a one time that I haven't. Normally when I go there it seems as though the forest there calls to me. I enjoy feeding the animals there. Doing so in such an abnormal way to prevent from training them to expect my greetings and gifts. I was there This day , aside my Spaw , walked around and visit the great outdoors. and set ease to my mind before heading back into society giving myself room to breath In the goodness of life... That pretty much sums up my thoughts concerning the wonderful journey to MacArthur Park.🦍🌳🌳🌳🌱🌲🌴

MacArthur Park is a nice place to wander around. There's the MacArthur Museum of Military History, the Firehouse Hostel, a Dog Park, and the under-construction new Arkansas Art Center. Geese, ducks a continuing presence. The downside to the park is the general lack of midstory vegetation--kinda like the San Antonio Zoo back in the 1950's before they realized the deficiency and remedied it. There is a very large pond or a very small lake that could use some hardening as it gets beat-out around the edges. I'd give it a 3 for vegetation and water, but the number of attractions would give it a 5, so I settled on the 4.

I like to take my lunch breaks here pretty often. I love the geese and ducks. The lawn and foliage is nice and pretty, but it's a bit dirty sometimes with all the goose and duck poo.

City needs to repair brick walkways by the pond and skim the banks of the pond. The public restroom was clean but the sink to wash hands was off. We love this park.

City hosts a fishing derby every year here after stocking up the pond. There is a pedestrian bridge over I-630 to the park. The dog park area is not shaded so works well for keeping your dog socialized in colder months.

This is a wonderful place to walk and picnic when visiting the Arkansas Art Center and Macarthur Museum of Arkansas Military History. Lake is stocked by Arkansas Game & Fish. Nice fenced dog park area.
