Reviews of Aux Arc Park (South Park)
Linda Pallotta
This is a very nice park. We enjoyed our stay. You can fish, watch the barges come through, or just relax. Many people talk about the trains that come through. I think if you're in a tent you will hear them, but in our trailer we didn't even notice them. Beautiful area with playgrounds for the kids and bathrooms with showers. Nice paved roads and pads. They have fire pits and picnic tables at each site. There is also a boat launch.
T W
A beautiful Corps of Engineers campground - nestled on the banks of the Arkansas river. Oaks and pines all around, wonderful view of a ridge across the river.
Nice sites, well laid out, not too close together.
Showerhouse open, usable and clean.
Very friendly staff.... Very attentive to our needs
We chose a site up near the dam, with a great view and LOTS of sunshine!
And, as always with COE campgrounds an incredibly low price - esp with electric & water included!
(NOTE: Here in late January with the overnight temps getting pretty cold, the water didn't run in the mornings - but by Noon to 1 pm it had thawed out and ran fine)
So..... with all these positives why only 3 stars?
Based on the first two days we were here (Sat & Sun) the rating would have been much higher...
BUT
starting Monday and continuing constantly there was this loud, vibrating, throbbing/thrumming sound that seemed to come from the Butterball turkey plant a bit upriver. Really pretty disturbing and really ruined what had been the quiet serenity of the place...
Bummer.... It was bothersome enough that we moved on a few days earlier than planned.
David Hand
Very nice campground, but may not be for everybody. We started here in mid-March, and the weather was great. Cool enough for a fire at night, but not too cold. Some beavers came into our campsite! That was very neat.
My cell phone signal was great the whole time.
The only real issue was the Butterball Turkey factory across the lake. The lights were on 24/7 and it emitted a low hum all night. There was also a long train that came through at 10:30 or so. This wasn't really a big deal to us, because we were in a van with solid walls, but it could be a big issue for tent campers. I think the southernmost campsites might not have this issue. I was in the B loop.
Emil Wolfe
Very nice camp sites along the river. Only 10$ a night if you're over 65. The sites have water and electricity. There is also bathrooms with showers. There's some play equipment for kids. The only downside is that the bathrooms are few and far apart. This place is close to highway 40 if you're just passing through
Ken Bennett
Many campsites in a large campground along the Arkansas River. Half the sites are waterfront. Nice views of the river. Note that some/many sites are effectively double sites — e.g., B1 and B2 share a parking space and are super close together. I don’t think this is mentioned in the Recreation.gov site.
Two small bath houses, one at each end, so most sites are very far and folks drive. Bath houses are in serious need of updating.
Donna Hardin
While we didn't stay here, and don't own a RV, we like this place and would camp here. It's right next to Ozark Lake so if you like to fish would be a good place to stay. There are shady spots as well as sunny spots. It isn't full hookup but does have a dump station. We were checking it out for friends coming into town.
Heather Stark
Great views, staff is nice. A3 and A4 are lovely but it's hard to tell which site is which. Trains and barge run all night.
Stephanie Jardine
Absolutely loved this place!!! We camped in our camper with the hook ups. Super reasonable. Super clean. Bathrooms were very clean and always had toilet paper. Showers were clean as well. Very quiet. Every spot was taken, but still very quiet. We will definitely be going back.
Elaine Korwek
Nice park right along side the Arkansas river. There’s a dam right at the entrance to the park and has a lock for the huge barges that travel the river. We were thrilled to be able to see them enter the lock and emerge from the other side of the dam. It’s a truly interesting site. First off we want to give thanks to the great maintenance staff. We had a problem with our 50amp breaker box and they came immediately and fixed it. At 8:00 at night! Thanks again for prompt service. There are no trails at this park, however I found it very easy to walk all the roads around the park, which is about 3 1/2 miles. There is a pedestrian walkway/bridge at the C campground where you can get an excellent view of the dam and river. The park is on flat ground so it was also easy to transport the portable tank to the dump station as well as biking the whole area. There are 3 bathroom/showers in the park. All were cleaned daily and had paper stocked. The showers we used had good pressure and were hot. The pressure at our site was slow. There is good spacing between sites and this park is really quiet, although a train track is across the river and the train is quite noisy. There are only a few trains a day, so we were not bothered by them. We had great phone service, 9 free TV channels and no WiFi. There seems to be several long term campers here and that makes it feel comfortable and safe. The boat ramp is right at the end of the main campground, but interestingly there were very few boats here even though it’s right on the river. And lastly I cannot forget the geese! There’s a large flock here and they roam the park and river daily. It’s nice to see them every morning.
Kathryn Carden
We love this campground. Electric and water, no septic hookup. You can watch barges going up the river to the locks.
M Williams
Beautiful, relaxing can't wait to go back. The train was not annoying at all to us. Watching the barges was really kind of neat. Campsite was wonderful.
B Earls
I love the calm and busyness of this beautiful park! I walk my dog quite often. There are always rv'ers and trains, the river has tugboats with interesting cargo and the lock and dam. Beautiful nature with wildlife and great fishing!!
Sue Ann Jaffarian
Another great Corp of Engineers campground! I was lucky to snag one of the last spots over Memorial Weekend. The park was full and yet everyone was respectful and good neighbors. This park has tons of trees with plenty of shade and even the sites that aren’t right on the water have a nice view. The bathroom and showers are clean. I’ve already booked my next stay here when I return to the area in two weeks.
Jesse Carwin
Probably the best RV campground I have stayed in for a very long time! Easy back-up spots right on the water. Large trees for plenty of shade. The spaces have 50amp power hook-ups and water hook ups. Two dump stations on the grounds. Near the quaint little town of Ozark with gas stations, restaurants, laundromat and grocery shopping. Amazing views of the water with geese and cranes. Very reasonable prices as well!
elby Brook
It's a nice campground. It's quiet and the bathrooms are clean. I get five bars with AT&T.
Melanie Elder
A great place to be outdoors at even n the off seasons. Has a wonderful picnic area scenic walking trails, wonderful fishing n camping is also a pleasure n a treasured little place . Awesome view of the Arkansas River and bridge . Don't forget wonderful aged appropriate children play area of the park with nice safe playground equipment on it . Electric hookups n water available for paid camping .
Valinda Beasley
Beautful park! Well maintained, big rig friendly, great elbow room between spaces, and easy check in. If you're a big motorcoach space F1 is fabulous! I would have given 5 stars but they do not have sewer connections at the sites. However, they do allow you to dump gray at the site and there are two black dump stations in the park. We will certainly return!
James Quinn
Very nice campgrounds. Thou some items need additional upkeep. Men's room which was open only had 1 working shower thou only if wanted a cold shower. No cleaning of bathrooms happened during the 5 days at location
JIMMY SMITH
Located on the Arkansas river just south of Ozark Ar. In Webb city Ar. Is the Southside (dam) park near the Ozark Jeta-Taylor lock and dam. This park offers a riverside view towards the mountains of the Ozark National Forest. It has several camping spaces with electric and water hookups available also has a boat ramp to launch your boat to go fishing. If you're from out of state, it is a great place to setup a base camp and enjoy some of Arkansas beautiful scenery within an hours drive in any direction, My. Magazine, Arkansas' tallest point is within that little hour excursion. Traveling North from the park the Pig trail scenic byway offers beautiful vista views of the mountains and in the fall the majestic and brilliant colors of the leaves make for a memorable trip.
Christopher Church
Very spacious sites, nice enough river view. Trains and barges may put off some people with the noise, but not too terrible.
Sharon D
Very nice park and not crowed off season. Only drawback is that the park states 2 weeks maximum stay but clearly some are living there and have been living there for some time.
Gail Bianco
Huge shaded sites by the water. I loved watching the barges and listening to the frequent train whistles. Good biking and fishing. Over the weekend it had a kind of fish camp look and sound, but the weekdays were more peaceful. Bathrooms older but clean. Upper campground is not shaded.
Gorthain Matzerath
4 Tent sites way back from the RV area, nice, close to clean rest rooms, beutiful view of river and lighted bridge. boat dock fishing spot.
Amber White
Beautiful park. We stopped because they have playground equipment, but there are also campsites and rv sites. They also seem to have showers and bathrooms, as well as pavillions. There's old growth and new growth trees and a beautiful view of the water. Worth the drive.
Pam Evans
Beautiful park with great campsites. The cleanest bathrooms of any park! Needs mowed though, but great otherwise!
Jimmy G
Neat little place with RV spots & playing areas! Great place to visit & see one of the many Dams on the Arkansas River here!
chelsey Willis
Would give it a better review but those TRAINS. Ha ha! In an RV it would be fine but tent campers beware two trains went by in the middle of the night and woke us up. Surprised no one else has mentioned this in a review. But the bathrooms are super clean, nice showers and everything looks well maintained.
James
We stayed two nights at Aux Arc in a 36’ 5th wheel at site F11 on the water side. The road into the campground is in good condition and easy to navigate in a big rig. There is a road section at the end of F loop that is not shown on the campground map and hard to see in satellite pictures which gives you plenty of room to turn around when departing. The F loop or section appears to be newer. Each site has a gravel picnic area with fire ring and a separate grill, table and lantern hook. There is a sun/rain shelter that is close enough to the pad that it may interfere with your awning. The driveway is paved and double width at the entrance with plenty of parking space. The grass at the campground had been recently cut but not trimmed. There were weeds over 2’ tall around our shelter/picnic area. There doesn’t seem to be much cleaning going on as cigarette butts and dog poop were everywhere on our site. We had good AT&T signal but couldn’t receive any TV with our antenna. In mid October most of the sites were full. I’d say most of the campers are locals and many of them had visitors throughout their stay making it a bit noisy during the day but quiet at night.
In the campground loops toward the boat ramp the sites are mostly shade. Some of those sites share a driveway and some driveways are perpendicular to the road which might be an issue backing in for some.
The Conoco station at Hwy 23 & 309 had firewood for sale.
Debbie Kiser
Beautiful campsites! Very clean. Right next to the river with gorgeous views.
Erik Rathgaber
There are 4 sites with no electricity or water and only cost 10 dollars per night. While here the weather was nice and not many mosquitos. We stayed in late April of 2018. There are many other sites with electric and water. It's a nice place.
Charis Melina Brown
Loved staying here on a cross country road trip. A car camping (or tent camping) pass is $10. Bathrooms are clean and showers are hot. Beautiful natural scenery by the water and less than 15 minutes from I40. Highly recommended!
Rustin LaFurney
We've stayed at this ACOE site a couple times (it was even our first night camping in our Class A.) It's a very quiet place with wide open spots, very clean and the water is just beautiful. Getting a reservation is simple on recreation.gov and we preferred its ability to pick an actual site vs not knowing where you'd stay until you arrived. And if you have a National Park Access pass (as a disabled vet) it's super cheap!
Ting Chaleunsakd
Nice place but restroom is closed. It'll be very nice to have it open for fishing people.
Dean Garrison
Really nice park, right next to the Arkansas river. Concrete pads, the front sites (close to the entrance) have tables with a roof over them. I think these are the best sites, as the further back you go the more people are around. But all the sites looked good. Showers were ok. The park was a little hard to find.
gammi
Beautiful, reasonable price for camping. Clean bathroom and showers. Staff not so friendly. If you camp and leave park, your stuff will definitely be safe. They are constantly checking on in people. Almost borderline harassment... Maybe just us. We didn't have a big fancy RV. Just a tarp, tent.
Stanley Garland
Excellent, just would have been Perfect. If they had trails for Hiking. But had a great stay. Definitely we return, soon.
Katie Gartrell-Parsons
Nice camping ground; some great spots; looks like fishing 🎣 would be great …
Jim Wittwer
A very nice campground. More like a city park on a river. Nice size sites, clean rest rooms and showers. Wish we could have spent more time there.
K Spangler
This is an awesome camp ground But they should do a tag on the posts of what’s available and what is not. The hosts where so kind and they allowed us to stay in a boondock spot for the night. We came from OK and had a harvest host reservation but when we got there we didn’t fit. So it was last minute. And end up here.
terry conner
Stayed in site B11 it shares a drive with the site next to it. W/E no sewer, but after talking to the attendant they let you put your grey water in the grass. We had a covered picnic table, and a great view right on the Arkansas River. This COE does not have a gate and the traffic thru the campground is non stop all day, our site was down on the way yo the boat ramp. The bathrooms down by the boat ramp is disgusting, mold on the walls and dirty. The one at the other end when you come in is new and much cleaner. The one way loop when you first come in the park would be the place to stay. Just passing thru so this would not be a park on my list to return too.
becca l
Very peaceful, relaxing place to be. Love to come here to fish. Everybody is always so friendly here. Beautiful scenery of the river.
Mary Beals
This is a great park. The people running it are very friendly. The upper spots are very nice with a built in cover over the patio. The lower sites are e so beautiful, one side on the river, the other side of the road in the pines. The bathrooms are clean, no soap, but clean, showers are clean. The view of the Arkansas river are beautiful.
There is no sewer, but water and electricity. Beautiful spot to camp and fish.
Melanie West
Awesome park with large level sites, covered picnic tables, fire pits, and great views. Close to I-40 and easily accessed . Big rig friendly. No sewer at sites but two dump stations are easily accessible. We will definitely return.
Pamela A. Whitman-Cox
Best Camping we have been to! Water and electric hook ups, bathroom rooms with showers ( very clean) area C5 puts you by bathrooms, play park for kids. Beautiful view of the water and shade with picnic table. We spent 5 days and can't wait to go back!! The staff was wonderful people!
Roget R.
I (we) have never been to this place before for camping until this weekend. I can definitely say that we will be going back very, very soon. Within the next two weeks at least.
We were very impressed with the camp sites and the park in general. Everything was very clean, orderly and the gate personell were extremely nice.
This was the quietest park that we have been to especially where there were at least 25 to 30 small children there. Forgot to mention. They also have a very nice playground for the children.
I can't say enough nice things about this park, especially since we have never been there before. It is definitely worth ones drive to go there.
Mark Hatley
A beautiful place to camp. Can camp in RVs, 5th wheels or tents. Have power and water hook ups. Right next to the Arkansas River so if you have a boat you can use it here, plus you can fish here. They have very clean bathrooms that have showers. The time I went here every camping spot was full. I certainly will go back to camp at this facility.
Andy & Teri
Great place to stop and enjoy quiet nature just look out for the giant crows perched in the trees above
sharon dietz
A very nice park on the Arkansas River. Nicely spaced sites, clean bathrooms, friendly campers. The only downside was the industrial activity on the river which was noisy at times.
Roger Ruth
This weekend was our first time ever going to Aux Arc and we will be going back very soon.
The park and campsites are extremely nice, clean and level for trailers. They have a large playground for children. The entire park is very quiet during the night. One does not hear hollering, children screaming and just basic nonsense like one will find at other camping sites.
Now, if one likes to hear the faint sounds of trains, one can lay in bed at night and be pulled to sleep by a train that runs all night long. I purposely raised our windows just to hear the train clacking up and down the track. It is not loud at all but one just heard the soft rythmic sound that just sends your mind elswere.
SophiaZaraBethDamion CasnerPorter
The bathrooms need to be cleaned more often other then that love the place
Jacqueta
Right on the river. Peaceful setting and nice camp sites.
Judy Thomas
Packed with campers, first time I have seen it like this in a long time. It was nice to see ppl out an having fun. The river was roaring an ppl were fishing an catching lots of fish. Lots of fun!
Brian Greb
Very good place to camp. It's a very busy campground.
Jeannie Fuchs
Took my son over for Tick or Treating it was awesome. The people who was passing out candy was great, some had decorations, some wore costumes, everyone was super friendly. My son had a blast. Beautiful place.
GhostStang
Good little park just some bathrooms and some spots have rv hookup. Quick warning it's right on the river so be careful staying here during tornado season or flash flood warnings. We camped right next to the river one year and thought we were going to die because a tornado went right down the river. This warning is for out of state guest. If you want a better camping experience try blue mountain lake or Mtn Magazine if you choose Mtn Magazine the cabins or lodge are the way to go.
Carrie Driggers
Very nice. Off season so not very many people. There are some through traffic. They do go slow though. There are trains across the river but does not bother us. The water is beautiful and the lights reflecting on it at night are breathtaking. The stores around are higher and propane was pretty high but very convenient.
Sandra Jones
Nice park but...the train on the other side of the lake goes by constantly, especially at night. The whistle blowing and rumble is quaint but becomes annoying quickly. The bathrooms are fairly clean. The normal rules for Core of Engineers parks are not inforced and there is a lot of traffic. Great place for bike riding or walking but just too busy and noisy for my liking.
Cole Ashley
Clean well kept wonderful place to spend the weekend. Run across the bridge grab some rivertown bbq. Makes for a fun camp. The corps take good care of this campground. All flat spots nice wide roads. Great!!!
Bob Rowe
This park is Awesome !!!! Very clean, sites have lots of room between them, some as much as 50 to 75 feet.
Got a spot on the water for $18 a night with water and electric.
The staff is wonderful !!! When our GPS got us lost the office staff drove out, found us and escorted us to the park. What more could you want ?
VIC Raddlehead
We love it here! Very kid friendly! They had whistles and books for kids to color and activity sheets for them to do! There was even a token game they play made out of what looks like yellow bookmarks. And that stuff has really come in handy on days when it is raining all day, like today. They have a playground, a locking bath and shower house. And the fishing by the dam is awesome! We love it!
Garry Norman
This is a great little park right next to the river it has lots of spaces a couple of dump stations and bathrooms, it's convenient just across the bridge from a grocery store and other things to do in Ozark. You can get your propane bottles filled on the highway where you turn to go to the park.
We will be back to stay again!
Misty Taylor
We loved it here! The staff were friendly and helpful. The other campers were pleasant and friendly. The park and restrooms was clean. If you want to use the bath house, I suggest go in the early morning or late evening during the summer......they are not air conditioned. We stayed in slot E5 and it stayed shaded the whole time. The F slots were rather close to the dam I would be afraid of the sound of the train echoing off at night.
Timothy Hudson
Hey y'all...I really like to give five-star reviews. Most of the time I don't even bother to write a review if I don't feel the place deserves one. It sure would have been awesome if Aux Arc campground had put a notice on their website that they were going to be closed temporarily. I rode all the way from southwest Oklahoma to read the closed signs in the office window. I must say that the camp host was nice enough to direct me to another campground a very short distance away. I won't let this deter me from trying this campground out again when the country is back to normal.
Linda Mixon
Beautiful campground. Staff is very friendly. Gorgeous view of the Arkansas River, mountains, everything breathtaking. Chilly today for us FL folks. Love this place. Will be back.
Michele Plowman
Place is great. Quiet, lovely view of the water. Only issue was very little water pressure.
M Marsh
Nice park for camping along the Arkansas River. Has 4 total showers (2M/2F) with hot water, sites have electric, paid $20. Not a bad deal!
Kale willis
Very nice clean park to stay at, nice bathrooms and showers! I would give it 5 but...in the middle of the night I woke up terrified thinking I was going to get run over by a train! Just on the other side of the river is a train track and it is very very loud! Also the site itself isn't very good for tent campers, at least ours isn't, there is a pad, but in the middle is a big bench chained to the ground. But the main reason I won't come back are the trains.
Nikhil Bhatewara
We stayed at camp B03 which is adjacent to the river. All the other camp site were living in RVs except us. Place is good but our campsite did not had a adjacent grill. We used the grill of campsite B,04. I recommend carrying a bug spray. Overall it's a good place to spend a night and there is a Walmart just 10 min away from the campsite.
Homer Paden
Aux Arc (Big Bend in the river). Been here multiple times. Nice Army Corps of Engineers park. Back into the river side or into the woods side. Build a fire and watch the barges go by. Trains on the opposite shore.
Cynthia Hawk
Park staff was really nice at check in. Real easy to drive thru the park. Many shades lots. We actually have a Box truck with a sleeper and stayed at F16. It was perfect for us with a covered picnic table, two places to outdoor grill. 40ft site had another space to park a second vehicle. Grass was a little tall. Bathroom/showers were at the other end. There were a couple things that I didnt like. The showers were old and needed new handles. The water was hot and hotter. I couldnt get any cool water but the sinks had cold water. Go figure? Also not much to do or look at. I would consider this a country type campgrounds compared to Russelville campsite that has so many boats on the water to watch or lake swimming available. You can fish from your camp site. So again it is more of a bike riding walking on the road type of place. Super quiet.
Ricky Davis
Campsites are well shaded and clean. There are campsites near a playground which are great for kids. No sewer so bring your portable graywater tanks. Plenty of spots for fishing on the bank and ramps to put in boats and jet skis. Great place to camp if you don't need sewer hookups.
Ed Cones
We stayed at Aux Arc with friends, and I have to agree that for $25 it isn't bad at all. This is what I look for when traveling. We only need a clean, level spot with water, sewer, and electric. Sites are pull-through, so need to unhook if just overnighting. There are large, grassy areas for walking and playing with pets if you have them. It's very convenient to I-40 but not close enough to hear the noise. The people we dealt with to rent were very nice. The park seems to be mostly permanent residents, but we had no reason for concern.
The only thing that would keep us from going back was a little Australian Blue Heeler running loose. We, and our friends have dogs, and the little Heeler would not leave us alone. Our dog is a 7-month-old pup, and the Heeler was all over her every time we tried to take her out. We'd try to sit out with our dogs, and the Heeler would run up and bark non-stop. We'd try to sneak out and walk our dog at the other end of the park, and this little dog would see us and here he'd come.
I want to stress that the dog was never aggressive, just playful. At first it was cute, but it finally got seriously irritating not to be able to sit with our dogs and have a quiet conversation.
Shirley Staton
I loved it so much I am going back as often as I can
Susan Richards
This campground is in a very pretty setting on the water. The bath houses are decent and clean. However, I was surprised to find our camp site had a lot of trash and cigarette butts on the ground .
Michael Walton
Nice Campground, some railroad noise but not extreme. Beautiful scenery. The lock at the dam here handles Arkansas river traffic. Pig Trail Scenic Byway Starts just north of here on State route 23 and the Mt. Magazine Scenic Byway is just to the south on State route 309
Brad Schlosser
Clean neat and great views. Trains have never bothered me and my wife. 35' 5th wheel and it was easy in and out. 35amp power which is more than enough even though my 5th wheel is 50 amp ready. Was quite for our stay and the price can't be beat.
Joan Weesies
Really nice place to camp and not too far off interstate. Prices are totally reasonable. Large sites with nice covered picnic table, fire ring and grill it has everything you need!
Shayna “Shay” Kirby
Local hometown park and recreation area! Fun fact- Aux Arc actually means "around the bend" and that's precisely where this little local hidden gem is located! It's a beautiful park w an RV and camping sites. Docks to fish off of. Trails that the locals have made take you to the best fishing areas! You'll come across the walking bridge there and come out on the rocks by the dam to catch the big fish! This place is definitely a fisherman's dream come true. They do have public restrooms located at both sides of the park! So whether your going camping or just going to get together w some friends and family; Aux Arc Park is the place to go!
Chad Whitten
Family friendly. Situated along the Arkansas River. Very clean and well kept. Helpful on-site management. On-site RV dump station. About one mile or so from Ozark, AR with numerous good restaurants and plenty of supplies.

Just got back home from camping at aux arc park, and I wish we stayed longer because I had so much fun. I rode my bike all over the park, I went boating, really nice boat ramp. I had a good view of the Arkansas River. I would say that aux arc park would be a really good place to stay of your looking for someone to fish, boat, walk/run, or bike because you can do all those things here. I truly recommend that you stop here and stay a few nights or however long you want to because this is a pretty nice camp site.
kris walker
Train stops running at night thankfully. Would have lived to have more shade but without having been here before you wouldn't know. F section has covered tables which is nice . Many shady sites but B27 isn't one of them. Seems like a nice park.
Al Vanelli
Very clean park. Rates were very reasonable. Bathrooms were clean. Close enough to town in case you forgot something but yet far enough away where you don't hear the traffic. We plan on going back and maybe doing some fishing..
Brittany Brown
There isn't much to do here in the heat of summer in order to cool down. Besides that the campground is well maintained and clean. Close to town for some eating out and shopping as well as you're right next to Altus where there are several wineries to go taste some local wines at. Overall ot was a good experience!
Tina Tyler
Stayed here 3 nights. Our first Coe. Loved being in this type of setting. Quiet and relaxing. Right on the Arkansas river. Watched tugs go to the big power dam. Only downfall....trains across the river and they go all night.
Tasha slye
It was pretty save for all the washed up trash...
Tifahn Rodriguez
Lush greenery and quiet surroundings right next to the Arkansas River. 30 and 50 amp hookups with water. No sewer. Showers available.
Jessica Lee Lovell Bowen
We had a birthday party here in the afternoon. We were able to use the pavilion and for day use it was free. There were no trash cans anywhere near the pavilion which sucked but other than that no complaints.
Brigitte Helms
Lovely RV park with large trees adjacent to the Arkansas River. Level RV sites and clean bathrooms and showers.
daniel wilder
Large sites along the river. 50 or 30 amp sites with water, section B best for satellite reception. Barges through locks and trains passing all the time. No laundry, but one in Ozark, just 2 miles away. Small grocery store also. We camped in a 37 foot type A mother home. Sites level and paved.
Fred Fisher
Very nice sites. Wide spaces between the sites. Good playground. The only reason I gave this a 4 is that there are no sewer hookups.
Darlene Miller
Fabulous. Wonderful facility with spacious sites along the lake/river. Very inexpensive. Highly recommended
Nick On Google
Very nice park like many COE. The government should be charging market rates though rather than giving away the services at ridiculously low rates. The money could be used for other valuable purposes such as helping keep up our national parks.
Vanessa Carr

Katherine McCrotty
I slept in my car in one of the tent camping spots. It was secluded and pretty. Very clean bathrooms! Nice staff, too.

Very quiet, but then again, it's December. We choose site F3 which was perfect! Ozark River view, close to the Dam. Trains run close by, buy didn't bother us.
Joyce Miller
Nice park. Clean, quiet and friendly people. Got to watch the barges go up and down the Arkansas River and were were just a short distance from the dam.
Tammy Langley
This is a very nice an well maintained camp area. They have water, electrical hookups but no sewage just a dump station.
David Zajicek
I was nice not crowded and the weather was not blazing hot
Mark McGrath
Great fishing when the time of year is right and the water is flowing more than 30000. Blue catfish and flathead catfish bite on the other side of the river by the lock.
Evelyn Merkling
Very beautiful spot, right next to the river.
However there is a train track on the other side if the river that is very active at times of the day. All times.
