Great outdoor gear store. Well rounded in all sports. The great thing about REI is they hat they have a rental program so you can rent what you need . Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you are looking for outdoor gear and want new this is a good place to start. Pet friendly!

We love REI and have shopped here for decades. But this time it was harder than usual. So many items had no prices. Sure, you can look them up by scanning the bar code, but really? So I subtracted one star. Still, a great selection of items - they don’t disappoint there! Takes great restraint to not buy up a bunch of new gear.

i have to say you have a couple of employees that are amazing!! annabelle was so patient and helpful. easily the best floor person i have ever dealt with there. when our sizes weren't on the floor she ran back to search, and if not there a quick write up for order and delivery!! she walked almost the entire store. then, at check-out, sophia was amazing! so engaging and interested in what i had to say. they both make me want to shop there more!

I visited this REI this past weekend and had a great experience. Everyone was super nice and Friendly. The cute girl that helped us check out was fantastic and very friendly (I think her name was Isabelle). Another guy also helped us at the register and he was great. A few employees employees around the store offed us help. We picked up some shoes and the girl that helped us was also very kind and helpful. (She had on an anxiety pin. I relate to that and struggle with talking to people in public sometimes.) overall a very positive experience. I’m from Salt Lake City, UT where the employees tend to be pretentious and not very welcoming. This was a different experience in the best way possible. I was very surprised and impressed by the employees at this store. I look forward to my next Vegas REI experience. Thanks for hiring great employees that care about customers. Thanks!!! Edit: came back 2 months later. Tim in the shoe department helped me. Really nice, friendly, and knowledgeable employee. This is the best REI I’ve ever been to!

They have it all (including a pee funnel if you need such a thing;-) They can’t have their traditional parking lot sale (thanks covid) so their return items are in the store. If you have never been to an REI parking lot sales event, you missed out. What ever you need for your outdoor adventure they have and what ever you don’t know you need, they have that as well. My daughter went to Africa in 2010 and we still have and use the foldable water bottle she took with her. Gear to climb and camp. Wool sox and washable underwear that dries in 5 minutes. I think of going to REI as archeological shopping: I am going to discover something I didn’t know existed 😎 Maps, 🧭 compass, binoculars, sleeping bags, bikes and backpacks - come see it all. If you are going to Denali for vacation or going to your Denali to go shopping, they have what ever you need.

This was my first time in REI and I was really impressed! I was on the hunt for work shoes and was interested in Hoka shoes and this was the only place in town that had a lot in stock. Jen helped me out with trying on shoes. She was so knowledgeable and patient with me. I was in there almost an hour and tried on at least 12 pairs of shoes! She never once seemed annoyed and was super helpful with all my questions. This girl deserves a raise! A+++ in customer service! Thank you!

This location offers a much larger selection than REI's closer to my area. They offer a wide array of cycling gear, rock climbing, hiking and camping gear along with quality clothes. We called and reserved a sleeping bag rental prior to our camping trip in March. Pickup process was easy enough. We didn't check the bag out before leaving they showed us quickly. Turns out we got a woman's sized bag. Odd they never asked what size. It worked out ok, I swapped bags with my husband's. Turning bag in was an easy process as well.

This location is on the other side of the valley from where I live but I still come here periodically for various reasons. It's a much bigger store than the one in Henderson, and that usually translates to a better selection or them having certain items in stock where the Henderson location may not. Their garage sale used to be in one very large room but they moved it to end-caps at each section throughout the store which is a little confusing. The staff like with every REI I have ever been to is very friendly and informative. It feels more like I'm going somewhere to hang with friends than a store to buy things from. This is a big reason why I come back. The customer service and store policies are unrivaled which is ultimately what brings me back. A great location, just a little far from me but still worth the drive sometimes.

I love to hike and camp, so this is my candy store. It's a place with quality equipment that is meant to last a long time. It's not cheap thrift store fare. That being said, if you become a REI member the return policy is second to none. Well worth the $20 to become a lifetime member. Lots of really good freeze dried meals to choose from.

The bike shop and the employees there were really great! They replaced my bike tubes for just the price of the tubes (because I am a member) and even installed my new grips and bell free of charge. They were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Had a great shopping experience here this past Sat. Was looking for some items to make traveling easier and they had what I wanted and more. This store is pretty large, but it's really nicely organized and you can find what you're looking for fairly easily - if you can't find it there are plenty of associates to help, which I appreciated. Glad I managed to find this REI location in Vegas, and will stop in again when I get a chance.

Exceptional store. The staff are consistently great and excellent programs are always available. Much of the profits goes back to maintaining the great outdoors and a one year satisfaction guarantee is great coverage for most items. The bike shop offers a wide variety of services as well. As a former employee, I have seen the lengths that employees go to help customers and that is consistent to this day. I could not give a higher reccomendation to a store full of great people, amazing products and a unique, fun atmosphere.

While stock may be a little low coming out of the pandemic and all, I was still able to walk out of there with the best hiking shoes I've ever owned thanks to the excellent customer service of Matt. I specifically wanted Vegan shoes, as I am extremely eco conscious, and I have apparently a pretty common size of foot because I was striking out everywhere. When I walked up he was very welcoming, I browsed the selection and in a short conversation he was able to assess my needs and was able to find my size in the Altra Lone Peak Hiker. I almost left because the ones I had researched weren't there but he was able to provide me with some information on the Altra shoe that makes them a great contender. Well, I took them out for a spin and I will tell you, these shoes could not be more perfect for me. I left REI feeling confident in my purchase because of his knowledge, his style of customer service was perfect in that he was attentive and welcoming. I hope he gets a raise and I know I will be back to this location for all my hiking needs. The whole staff was very kind from walking in to leaving. Very happy. Thank you guys for exceptional service!

After a long hiatus, I've been getting back into rappelling and have been catching up on recent trends and advances. As I was walking around the climbing section, a staff member came up and asked what type of climbing I was doing. Over the next few minutes, he confirmed my thinking on the latest and greatest and helped me find a few of the newer items that will make rappelling easier, safer and hopefully more fun. Thanks

Well, the parking close to REI is under construction till September-ish, 2021. I did not know and thus took a tour of the parking area. There was an employee when you walked in that you could ask where merchandise was located in the store. Saved me time and a few steps. It was over 110 degrees outside so I appreciated thi extra service. Parking aside, REI is my go-to place for recreational things, including UV-protected clothing. I've previously purchased carabiners, camping chairs, jackets, pants, shorts shirts, hats, gloves, belts, etc., and have no complaints about the items I bought. I buy UV-protected clothing as I have a sun allergy. The clothes last me a few years on average, but I do take good care of them. Yes, you may a little more than other places, but the quality has met my standards. Even the REI-branded items are decent. Full disclosure: Yes, I have been a member of the REI co-op since the 1980s. You do not need to be a member to make purchases. It doesn't cost a lot to join -- I think it is $20 now for a lifetime membership. If you are planning to purchase a lot of outdoor equipment and clothing, as a member you are eligible to receive annual dividends. You can.also get a discount on bike and ski shop services,, and camping gear rentals. Go to rei.com to read up on membership.

I've always had pretty good service at REI, but this store was by far the best service I've ever seen. From the associate working near the door to the one that processed a return for me, everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful, went out of their way to show me what I was looking for, and make sure I had everything I needed. The most knowledgeable and friendly staff out of all the REI stores I've been to (and I have been to many) from helping find the best camping gear to the best camping spots nearby. I especially want to express my appreciation for JD. He helped my boyfriend find the perfect tent, the Rei Kingdom 4. Every single thing he recommended to purchase were outstanding purchases. He understood exactly what we were looking for and delivered the best customer service I have received in my lifetime. I've visited a dozen REI stores across the US during my travels, and this one easily has the friendliest and most knowledgable staff. REI is generally solid at hiring good staff that share their experiences and offer suggestions on gear, but I was impressed at this store. 3 separate individuals spent a good 30min each discussing the pros and cons of various products, offering unique ways to fit the gear to my planned trips, and offering less costly and lighter methods that accomplished the same task. Shout out to Shaggy, Christian, and (I forget his name...was stocking some hammock equipment...sorry) for their excellent customer service. The folks behind the counter were also helpful and friendly. I plan on doing business here in the future.

went to rei to get swim wear and found what i was looking for. other sporting goods stores i checked with did not have anything close to what i needed. rei has a good variety of outdoors equipment and the store is usually well stocked but i think i prefer shopping online with them

My boy is a true biker 🚴🏻‍♀️ , we have brought in at least 5 bikes for service. And it has been ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ EVERY TIME . The employees who work here are so helpful and so knowledgeable that there is no reason to ever want to go online to buy anything. This is definitely one of my favorite stores as everything I have ever purchased from here has such quality. I was looking for a bicycle and Kyle told me so much stuff to help me with what type a bicycle was the best one for me that I honestly was make able to make a really great choice. He was so cool!!! I highly recommend you go to Kyle to help you choose honestly for the right bike. He gave us oodles of additional information that I didn’t even know I needed- but did!! David also gave us a whole bunch of information that was wonderful as well. Also, when I went to buy hiking pants, there was a new sales lady who was also sooo helpful. Thank you guys!!!

Havent had great customer service like this in such a long time. The associate in shoes, I believe his name was Fran was so very helpful. My wife was looking for shoes for the tough mudder and other runs shes going to be doing this year. He brought her out more than just the shoe she asked for and explained the difference and depending on what we were going to be doing which show was best. But I noticed he did the same with every customer that was there. He is amazing!!

Excellent place to buy your outdoor activity gear. I recommend getting the membership, as it provides great deals. They also have classes for almost every activity for free. Their prices are higher than the big box stores but their merchandise is a much higher quality. They also have a 1 year return policy on almost everything, including footwear.

This place always seems to have what I need when it comes to me doing about anything outdoors! Not to mention the staff is always very knowledge in what they are talking about if not almost always on a first hand basis and they love to sit there and help or just talk with you if that's what you are looking for or they will quickly help and get out of the way of you're not. Their classes are extremely helpful especially for beginners in many things outdoors, obviously depends on the class... And I know there are some experienced people who learn a new trick or two in there too. All in all I have to say I love this store. A little pricey on some things but it is a specialty store so I expect that. Keep up the great work guys and gals at REI!

This REI does a commendable job with its measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a healthcare worker and someone who knows about infection prevention, I was very impressed. If all retailers took the precautions they do, I have no doubt that the infection rate would be lower. No one should fear going here...much safer than any market I've been to.

Great customer service. I came to run the Red Rock Canyon 1/2 marathon but forgot the charger for my Garmin watch. REI doesn’t sell stand alone chargers but they found an open box from another watch and offered to charge my watch for me. Huge relief! The REI team went well above and beyond to help out a member. I often liken REI to an adult Toys 'R Us. As much as I love camping and Hiking, I get so giddy every time I know I get to go here! Not the biggest place in the nation, but still have plenty of adequate hiking and camping gear. I can't really speak about most of the other departments, but I'm sure it has most of to cover your basic needs for any outdoor activity. Plus friendly staff that's very approachable and knowledgeable!

They have recommendations for all of your activities and if they don't, they know where to find the answer. if I can afford it, I like to get REI brand outdoors gear,..there's no question it's going to be top quality, plus it's backed up by the store...for the most part. I have REI backpack, jackets, sleeping bags that have lasted over 25 years, so they turned out to be actually much cheaper than buying discount brand stuff that lasts for one or two trips. Plus you have the satisfaction of owning something really nice! The people at the Summerlin store are great,..I took their climbing Whitney class and, sure enough,..did it. Thanks to the tips from the class I avoided a lot of the logistical mishaps that can happen with an excursion like that.

Exceptional customer service. This is the larger REI of the two in the valley. If you're an avid fan of the outdoors, I can't recommend enough becoming a member of the co-op. REI boasts a one year return policy on its merchandise, offers site-to-store shipping, and in the Spring, members receive a dividend of their spendings from the year prior. REI also does amazing garage sales. With Sports Chalet closing its doors in 2016, there aren't many outdoor equipment outfitters in the valley, but I'm glad we have this one.

Have been hiking/backpacking for a while on the cheap. Decided to upgrade all my gear. They have really cool stuff, but ain't cheap. They say that you get what you pay for. I wish they would of have a better display on the Hammocks though.

I am a huge fan of REI but this location is not my favorite. I came in to return a running vest I had purchased on line. The girl who did the exchange was plesant because she had to. I went to the back to try some running shoes and the girl who was in charge was not pleasant at all n had no idea of product knowledge. I asked gor twp different models, she only had one pair, so she brought me four pairs if the same model, why? And left me...didn't ask if they were okay or any othet options. Anyway..don't expect great service from this REI...New York, North Carolina, Florida, California, Georgia, those are the real deal. The only positive grace was a gentleman named crooked foot , who was very nice...he was great.

REI is the go-to place for technical outdoor gear. Some of the other merchandise may seem pricey, but remember that REI stands behind their products and will replace/refund items that do not meet quality standards! Be sure to check out the "garage sales" that happen every couple months. You can get tons used gear for cheap! Just keep an eye on their calendars or sign up for the emails.

My family and I always visit this particular REI because of John W (IG @crookedfoot). He is a tremendous help when it comes to camping questions, products, and outdoor areas of interest. He walks the walk, and talks the talk, which can be a rarity with employees of today. Whenever we have a camping question or concern there is no doubt that John will provide an honest, practical answer based on both knowledge and experience. I recommend him to anyone new to the camping scene and even old pros.

The top three are: REI, Patagonia, and North Face, the cool thing about REi is, it's a Coop, my dad had a three digit coop number back in the day, mine is six numbers when I was old enough to get one, I got my coop number - now at sixty two REI has it all - the staff in Vegas was perfect - although trifiles make for perfection - perfection is not a trifle - REI is "As good as it gets" =Peter= btw I love my new silk base layer shirt... keep in happy in a wet Zion canyon for day.... rock on REI

Was initially disappointed when I walked around for 20 minutes without anyone asking if I need help and looking at how expensive a lot of their stuff is ($110 for a basic jacket/long sleeve shirt). However, I was finally approached by Austin. Shout out to Austin for the amazing customer service and for being very knowledgeable. He had a great, detailed answer to every question I asked. Want him to be recognized for it. Girl at the shoe section was extremely nice and kind too but didn't seem as knowledgeable/interested in helping me. However, she was very busy with other customers so I understand. REI offers a great return policy which is why I will be purchasing most of my camping/hiking equipment with them from now on.
