Reviews of Lee Canyon
Lindsey Itamoto
It's not Tahoe, but once you get over that ,you'll have a wonderful time. Lee Canyon is SO convenient and close to "the strip". The drive is easy and beautiful. I really like this small resort feel over any large overcrowded resort .
They recently renovated the entire resort and so your ticket goes a long way here!!
The new build out is modern , clean, and beautiful. I was so impressed seeing the before and after . The restaurant, bar and restrooms look great!!
The snow here is not always powdery but I believe they make their own snow. On a sunny bluebird day it's so amazing to be out on the mountain here.
You can finish your long day like we did, with a treat at In and Out a short drive away after you get down from the mountain :)
Bougie Corner
Pretty cool place. Vegas is really exciting. You can literally find so much to do.
I had no idea this place was a thing. Only 1 hr 10mins away from Henderson. We took the drive early. I read there was a lot of traffic going up there right after the snow fall a couple days ago. Got there early, still a large amount of people there early too.
We didn’t know what to expect because we just spontaneously decided to go up there since we knew there was snow. Basically trying to find things to do since we will be here for the New Year’s Eve fiesta…
The drive was excellent. No traffic, spectacular view and snow everywhere. We pulled over took pictures.. We didn’t rent any skiing equipment. We took the drive for the experience. However, we did stay awhile to see other people ski. Next time we will be prepared to stay the whole day, with skiing equipments and skiing attire..
I gave 4 stars because, there should be other rentals equipments available. Like, those tubs you slide down the snow with. Anyway, I recommend spending a day at Lee Canyon.

Nice view and chilling place. In the beginning of October, you can see yellow falling leaves. They have chair ride, disc golf, archery, and axe throwing. Also nice trails near by. Next time I will try to come again in Winter!
Winter Update 20-21 season:
If you are visiting from the other states, you won't believe Vegas has a good amount of snow! Not really having a variety of slopes but definitely decent grade and quality slopes. Bunny hill is getting pretty crowded after 11 AM, and it is just the right size of slope although relatively short. Also it has small terrains which are excellent for beginners. Watch out when you are stopped at the side of the slope because many riders are coming out of the woods. At the lunch time cafeteria gets crowded so make sure be prepared. Definitely good value since it is near the city (40 mins) and has perfect moderate difficulty slopes. Also be aware of road conditions which require snow tires in special cases. Check website.

Very, very happy with this place :) My bf and I had our first experience with both snowboarding and skiing here. They really help you get fitted and take the time to explain certain things to you. Thanks to all of the employees there that helped us that day! Really appreciate your patience.

Quality snow board rentals. Great trails. Lee canyon is pricier than what I am used too. Staff is friendly but appear lost sometimes, giving wrong information. Food is very expensive but it is expected. Overall good place. I would come again but with my own gear.

Quaint ski resort for experienced people who engage in winter sports within close distance from the city center. Checking in to retrieve the passes was a breeze. Just make sure you arrive early enough for a parking slot close to the entrance, otherwise good luck on the longish walk uphill in your snow boots and gear (they do not have a shuttle). Rentals were quick and efficient and even included jackets and pants available for rent. I just wish Lee Canyon had more intermediate runs (the other run was way too advanced for a beginner like myself who wants to be challenged with other paths).
Beware the crowd there gets a little rowdy with loud folks up on the slopes. The non-smoking rule was not enforced so much and I smelled weed almost every time I got on a lift.

This little family owned ski area is a true gem of the southwest. Its an incredible juxtaposition to the Mojave Desert of Las Vegas a half hour drive away sitting in the gorgeous Spring Mountain Range and the Keystone Thrust. The ski area sits in canyon at the base of !1,500 foot Lee Peak. There is ample terrain for all ability levels and even some truly great gated backcountry terrain with ample tree skiing and riding. The terrain park under the chairlift is well constructed and maintained with a good flow and features to accomodate all freestyle abilities.
The facilities for eating and drinking are great with a very friendly staff. Parking is ample for the size of the ski area and the state of Nevada keeps the road in great shape. Be prepared to have and use AWD/4WD or traction devices after a storm as Nevada Highway Patrol enforces chain control restrictions. Generally, within a day or 2 of a significant storm, the highway is dry and bare though.
This is a very beautiful, friendly place to ski and ride and I will keep coming back for many years to come. Its not the biggest or the gnarliest place to shred but the vibe of the place and its great weather and scenic beauty make it a true gem. I highly recommend taking the scenic drive from Lee Canyon over to the village of Mt. Charleston. The views of the Nevada Test Range and historical markers like Robbers Roos and the village of Mt. Charleston should not be missed. You will find it hard to believe that you are just a half hour away from Las Vegas up here.

Had an amazing time skiing here on thursday. Lots of snow and not very bust at all. The skiing was more challenging than I expected with the blue slopes being kore like black at other similar skiing ⛷️ destinations. It was less than an hour from the strip where I was staying for a conference. I was able to rent everything I needed including ski pants which was helpful. Everyone that worked their was extremely helpful and nice especially my buddy Keith who gave me alot of insightful information about Lee Canyon. Will definitely come back soon!
Janice Wood
Lots to do for bikers, hikers, families, and singles! Very friendly and helpful staff. 2 options for eating with a comfortable outdoor food court. Chair lift operates throughout the year and 2 pens set up with targets for ax throwing! What's not to like?!
Adrian Rodriguez
Nice place. Have a little bit of everything, skiing, snowboarding, hiking. Open spaces to enjoy with family / friends either in winter or any season.
Jordan Quinn
We went for a hike at Upper Bristlecone trail with my dog Grommet. Go early or else you won’t find parking. We used AllTrails app to somewhat navigate the hike since it is covered in snow and not well trafficked in winter. Regardless, it was a great hike.
Kevin Petalos Vegas Realtor
Fun place loof free games and then only 10 bucks to play Frisbee golf, great course lost 1 disk but found another, super challenging and very, very good work out almost 10,000 steps down the hill... worth the money...
Carolina Coria
Within an hour's drive from the city center you can play with snow, slide and build a snowman. The street is well maintained and so are the bathrooms. There are no gas stations on the mountain.
Tim Costello
What a great escape from the urban chaos and great of Las Vegas. In less that an hour you feel like you're in Colorado. There is great hiking and even skiing and sledding in the winter. If you like the outdoors the drive and views along the way are worth the trip all by themselves
William Macek
My friends from Ohio still can’t believe we go skiing in Las Vegas, but yes it’s true and every year it keeps getting better!
27 trails and 3 lifts, open from 9AM-4PM and only 40 minutes to an hour out of Las Vegas.
Great place to get your legs back before a big trip or do some uncrowded midweek skiing.
Looking forward to better parking and a cooler lodge, (fireplace-couches-music-apres ski hang) in the future, but drink & beer selection is good and staff was on top of it!
Elina Prajapati
It is a beautiful hike at Upper Bristlenose. Vey nice weather. It is moderate hike and it took us 2 hours round trip…Very good view from top…
Miki Sheets
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place... we live in Vegas but this is our family activity in winter. The staff here is great n helpful. We always have a wonderful time.
Nate
Great for beginners and some good tree runs off to the far left when looking down. My wife and I will be sharpening our skills here in our first year as we prep for vacations further away from town. Definitely important to arrive early on the weekends. Shoot to be a few miles from the resort by like 8:15 to start boarding on opening and minimize your time in the car line.
LeeAnn Kaneshiro
The drive to Lee Canyon took 45 minutes from the Hilton Elara. Easy drive and was so happy to get to see snow falling. Peaceful and beautiful landscape
amie k
A nice small, clean ski resort. An easy one hour drive from Vegas strip rather than the long haul to Brian Head. Staff were nice and friendly, but parking was tight.
Tatiana Carroll
U can take a lift .They have few games you can play.If weather nice you will enjoy to sit outside and have some food and beer
Junel Orejudos
It's the perfect time to visit Lee Canyon, and scenic view is always fascinating while the snow flurries. The Scenic chair Ride is awesome! Always coming back here
Wil Cruz
I went snowboarding here and for the weekend, it wasn't overly busy.
All 3 lifts were open and all but 1 run was open.
There are runs for every level of experience. Their terrain parks were very well kept and had all sorts of trick features set up.
They are very hard to get a hold of by phone. Emailing them is easier and quicker.
If you are military/vet, they do have a reduced priced ticket. The verification system they use is a little wonky. I had issues adding 2 additional lift tickets and parking for my trip. I drove out there and spoke to Josh who was able to get me all taken care of with no problem.
Their lift passes are reusable passes. They contain RFID and you can reload them. If you have a sleeve pocket, you just put your pass in that then they just scan at your arm when they are checking passes.
They have 3 places to get drinks and food. The best spot is the bar on top. They serve liquor as well as beer and wine. Sometimes there is live music
The bathrooms were not horrible.
Parking seems like every other parking, you come late, you park far. On weekends, recommend getting there between 7am and 8 to get close parking.
Weekdays, it was not crowded at all. No lines at any of the lifts.
They also have rentals and a small shop. They offer classes for adults and kids.
It's a quick 50 minute drive from the Vegas strip. Very nice and scenic drive. Very easy to get to.
I would definitely come back and snowboard here again.
Carolyn Weaver
Enjoyed a wonderful day I. The mountain and lunch. Rode chairlift to top. Beautiful clear day. Love the new facilities_ you can tell it's been a while since I went to the top.
Lawrence Smyth
Most beautiful frisbee golf course ive ever played, navigating some of the course is very treacherous, wear proper footwear and maybe long clothing in case you slip!
Kayy
Went July 2021!! Beautiful place! There’s a restaurant there / cafe at the top! Limited parking.. highly recommended though 🥰 …
Justin Gordon
Looking for a great hike, or to get out of the heat of Vegas, you can't go wrong here. Truly beautiful scenery.
Christine McArthur
Great retreat from the heat! Hiking, take a chair lift ride, ax throwing, corn hole, Frisbee golf..nice restaurants...and wild horses..cannot not get much better than this!
Kimberly Pham
On a hot day, I always enjoy coming up here to explore the surrounding hiking trails or check out their outdoor activities. After that grab a Ketal One Spicy Bloody Mary with Bacon and a bit to eat. Service here can be a hit or miss. Friendly but slow. Reasonable price, food is okay not great, not bad, and pretty good BM. last year their BM was to die for not sure what change in taste. Guessing new bartender or change in the recipe.
Overall is nice to kick back, relax and enjoy the scenery and the breezy air.
Michelle Dwyer
Fun event today! Lee Canyon Fest had a lot to do, great music, and really friendly employees. Gorgeous scenery and 20 degrees cooler than Las Vegas! Highly recommend!
Kevin Petalos
Fun place & cool on the summer happy staff and lots of free games outside!
J Fun
Such a great place to relax and enjoy time with the family. My boys liked the ski lift ride and couldn't stop giggling at the surprises people tossed in the tree on the way up! We had a nice afternoon there before heading to the airport to go home.
Barb M
So nice and cool and break from the heat. A couple restaurants also.
Emily Ung
so convenient , ~30 mins drive from Las Vegas. Best spot ever!!! love snowboarding and snow sleding here or just simply taking pictures in winter time. :)
Marcus Theus
So much fun. Great snow this season
Super friendly staff !
Edward Steller
Need a nice place to beat the heat? Have a picnic, hike the trails, or just kickback with a good book, you'll find it here.
Mathew Tucker
The only thing this area is lacking is a lake!
If you live in vegas, and you haven't been up here to beat the heat, then you're missing out! The ski resort has a restaurant, a disc golf course, some great trails, and even archery during the summer. The temperature is 30 to 40° cooler, and the views are amazing!
Joe Klump
Nice place about 40 min outside of Vegas. Nicely steep and good hikable areas as well. Lodge was nice and people were great!
Erkan Munishi
Cool place for beginner skiers to learn, for first timers - make sure to book in advance, I couldn't buy on spot the tickets on Saturday.
The employees could be a bit more kind and welcoming but can't judge that by a one day visit.
Overall a great place to ski for around $130+ (pass, parking, rentals)
Isaac Summers
Although you have to plan your weekend trip very early in the season as soon as they release the spots, it is definitely worth it to do so, especially for summer time weekends when it is blazing hot in Vegas, it stays fairly cool up on the mountain. Don't expect to get a first come first serve spot on the weekends, as they are usually taken up by mid-week.
Would rate 5 stars except for the following reasons:.
1. The camp host here thinks he has authority over the National Recreation Park Rangers and will give away your reserved spot, even though it is prepaid, and there is no verbiage in the reservation agreement that says that you have to be there at a certain time. When I reserve and prepay for a spot, I pay for the whole time whether I'm there or not. One time I even called the ranger station to confirm this, and they said I was correct, but when I got there the camp host had an issue with me showing up late and was ready to give away my spot.
2. A lot of people that camp here do not understand the rules and that they are in a National Recreation Area (much like Lake Mead). The last two times we went camping here (both this season), we have witnessed brutal vandalism of trees (people axing and knifing trees), reported to the rangers, and they chose to do nothing because they didn't have enough evidence, or they were just "kids" that they couldn't give a ticket to for vandalism. With the campground being very full, and very large, the host and the rangers need to have more of a presence here so that this nice spot isn't continually defaced until the point that they shut the entire thing down because it looks like a garbage filled parking lot with barren destroyed trees. If you do go camping here, please do not be afraid to spread the word that this is a National Recreation Area, and should be treated as such.
Betsy Trujillo
Nice experience. Hopefully, next time, they are renting the ski
Oxana Shvets
Best way to escape from 120° to 75° Lee Canyon.
Jared Deitch
The renovations and new buildings are worth checking out. Riding the ski lift during the summer is a nice way to get out of the Vegas heat and still be outside. The menu and service at the little restaurant was great. Free and paid outdoor games available. The shop where you get the ski lift tickets had nice qaulity shirts with the Lee Canyon logo.
Update: my new favorite spot in all of Southern Nevada
Sean McAllister
I have been up here before for the snow and it's always really nice. This time my buddy and I came up here for the disc golf course definitely a higher level of playing a little more difficult but very very fun
Valarie Ross
Very nice. We went to the ski resort and rode the chair lift. Bring a jacket lol.
It was very nice and beautiful. Super quiet and relaxing. 3 year old loved it. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it looked nice. Indoor and outdoor sitting. Masks required at ski resort.
We also hiked up the little natural trail. Found some rocks.
On the way to the resort we spotted some free range horses in a field. People are allowed to walk right by them and sit and watch them.
1 hour from Veags.
Trinity Mallimaci
Love it up here! Great hiking! Fantastic views and weather. Bring a light jacket as the temp can drop quickly. Count on rain. It usually passes quickly though. Not too busy. Usually only one or two groups of people on any given trail.
Highly recommend. 10/10
lawrence beiner
What a great place to run to just outside of Las Vegas and get away from the heat.
Ralph Tiebel
Went up Lee Canyon for a picnic. All the picnic areas were closed for the season, so we took our folding chairs out to a shady spot in the meadows below the campground.
Some of the horses from the Cold Creek herd were there grazing. Beautiful afternoon and the Aspen trees were turning bright yellow.
Bishop Snow
Beautiful day surrounded by a majestic back drop. We rode the ski lift, which was exhilarating, hiked amidst the lofty trees, and drank in the cool weather. Such a refreshing break from the Vegas heat.
William Núñez
Great place to be anytime & any season of the year!
Eric B
I was pleasantly surprised about those place, especially for snowboarding and skiing. We went at the end of March and the conditions were great for such a warm day in late season, especially for Vegas!
I've had annual passes for all the major mountains and Lee Canyon is definitely a cheap fun and low key choice for being so close to Vegas, especially for novice/advanced skill levels.
JP
Jer-Lee Canyon. The west coast influence of looking the part but not actually being good is prevalent here. All jokes aside this place has a lot of potential and reminds me of the Cottonwoods back home in Utah. Would like to see better access to the spots above the chairs but they are working with what they have. Highly recommend.
Ronald Gilmore
Went to the new mountain bike lift it was a dream! I've been to Brian head a couple of times and I must say the way the intermediate trails is carved out with almost zero roots zero sharp rocks just a dream!!! I would give more stars if I could. Oh and the pro shop is pretty nice too
Oscar Oreffechi
It is incredible that this place is only 1 hour from Las Vegas! we had a lot of fun we could see the snow, it is a good place to share with the family, you just have to be aware of making the reservation before going up because there is no internet connection at the top, before arriving at Lee Canyon there are many stops where you can enjoy of the landscape and the place, take the time to enjoy such a beautiful place.
Alex F
Awesome vibes, nice terrain park and several really cool runs. Would love to see them add a tow rope or conveyor belt to the terrain park at rabbit peak. Would be there every weekend.
Philip Johnson
Love Lee Canyon and ski resort. Didn't bike on this trip but rode the ski lift and trails look fun. Not bad for barely an hour and a half from home.
Sharlene C
Go early for good parking. Buy parking tickets online to speed things up. Food here was quality for the price paying. If renting equipment, get there early. Waited nearly an hour for snowboard rentals
Tom Kastorff
Fun spot! Great little quick ski getaway near Vegas. Not a ton of lifts or runs (early season) but plenty of runway to get some turns in and shred some powder. Super modern main lodge with plenty of dining options. Cool outdoor seating. Great beer! Will be back.
Michael
Great place to snowboard and ski. I also love the location, it’s not far from the Las Vegas airport, it’s only about an hour drive. Other ski resorts are much further from a major airport.
The minor drawback is that the season is short and has mostly man made snow. It’s a bit on the pricy side, and wouldn’t recommend this place for beginners because the bunny slope is nearly flat, from there you have to go to the regular slope and it’s super steep.
The restaurant, while not bad, is cafe level food at restaurant prices. Not surprised though, since it’s the only place to eat for the day.
The bar is really nice though. A major plus. It’s got huge viewing windows and you can watch people come down the slopes. It also has live music and it has always been good.
Cody Firestone
We had a BLAST! Shredding up rabbit hill like pros..... well first time skiers anyways!
Stu is an excellent caring instructor. Every dollar was worth it! Private lessons seem expensive, but he coached both of us for 100 dollars an hour. That save 58 dollars compared to the 79 dollar each general rate.
A few runs down the hill and we were done! The ski resort is at 8500 feet so everyone feels out of breath! This is fun because you go at your speed.
Stu tailored instructions differently for me and my husband. My instincts began to remember childhood ski lessons. My husbands first ever ski experience was one on one coaching and he was going down the slope in no time!
Also it was WAY warmer when the sun came over the mountain. We are always worried about being cold. It’s a buzzkill but after our first run we went to the private lesson yurt and stripped off two layers! Stu joked about teaching in a t-shirt in spring!
OH! Also with private lessons there is no line to get your rental equipment!!
Turtle butt pillow RECOMMENDED!!
Mach
A nice cool getaway from the summer heat. It offers beautiful vistas, as well as places to camp, hike, play disc golf, and just explore. A good place to expose kids to nature. Before going, make sure your car's breaks are good.
Alex Purcell
I don't think people realize there is great skiing less than an hour from the Strip. Lee Canyon delivers a family friendly atmosphere with very good beginner and intermediate terrain. And when conditions permit, some very good technical tree skiing. As an experienced snowboarder with over 30+ seasons, I appreciate what Lee Canyon has to offer and if I'm in Vegas during the season, I always make the trip up the hill. Check it out the next time you're in Las Vegas!
Jason Soto (Sotomoto)
Lee Canyon ski and snowboard resort is a great place to go up in the summertime. An opportunity to enjoy nature and not have to deal with the hot weather of the Las Vegas market. And the lift ride to the top of the mountain is beautiful scenery.
Kathleen Tang
Great small resorts, short drive from Las Vegas.
Helmet rental$5; snow-pant;25. The grill restaurant has a long waiting line- order food from upstairs/bar instead quicker.
Trubbl Show
They have really upgraded in the last couple years. Had a great day. Lift guys were very fun and cool. That is something that can make your day. A rude worker can ruin your fun.
Anthony Patterson
It's the perfect escape from the city. Beautiful resort. It's clean, the staff at friendly and there's a lot to do, eat and drink. Not to mention the best views in Southern Nevada.
Phia Velasquez
It was wonderful. ....
Friendly service from rentals, lessons, and food service. ...
Price was good. ... we got the snows experience package. ... it was for beginners like us. ...
The lesson was extremely exhausting but fun. ... (we need to get fit. ...lol. ...)we learn to ski and my son learn to snow board. ...
Mr jack was great ski teacher. ... thank you so much. ...
We had a great ski experience. ...
Sarah B
In the summer, this is a great location for a family excursion. The drive there was beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed hiking by the ski resort. There's a nice picnic area, and it's fun to take the ski lift up the mountain. At $12 for adults and $8 for children, it's also reasonably priced.
Clinton Fontes
Nice blue bird days! Main lifts chairs are open but not all trials. Still a great time with a 45 min drive from the city 👌 …
rj fhcs (Kritik)
Man i miss this place, it is the go to spot if your visiting or live in vegas for anything skiing/snowboarding. A little pricey but they are modernizing and they provide decent entertainment, would love to see this place grow into a larger resort with more runs in time.
Jillian White
A really beautiful place to see if you’re visiting Vegas in the short winter months ( Dec-Feb) you don’t want to miss this spectacular place. A hidden gem away from the noise.
Amber G.
Nice, quiet, green mountain oasis in the middle of the desert, about 40 minutes from Las Vegas.
This was my first time going to Lee Canyon! I rode the summer chairlift ride for $12/per person; what a beautiful view from up there but whatever you do don't watch the scary movie "Frozen" before you go! :)
I saw wild horses grazing in the grass during the ride and on the drive home, I pulled over to a meadow where a family of wild horses were grazing while the baby was napping in the shade.
James Kasiewicz
I'm a Ski and Snowboard instructor up there . For 45 minutes from Vegas your in a totally new Place up in the Mountains!!! Come for the day or just a half day you will Love it ! Ask for Kaz for you Ski and Snowboard Instruction😎 …
Ari
Had a wonderful day at Bristlecone trail and Lee Canyon Meadows! A herd of wild horses stopped by to eat their lunch and it was lovely :) They pay no mind to the dogs and people as long as you are friendly and keep your distance. If you are respectful of them they will come very close while grazing and you can enjoy their company...please do not try to touch them and please leash all dogs! They are friendly but they are wild animals, please let them be so. We watched several people get too close and almost get hurt as the horses got scared and reared up or stomped towards them and we watched dogs chasing and barking at a horse which was disheartening (they were only chihuahuas, but still, annoying for the horse). Please respect the NV wild ...being in their presence is the gift! No need to touch. *waves cane*
We saw a wedding set up in the forest off of Bristlecone trail and it was so beautiful and serene. Something to consider if you plan to get hitched :)
Overall we had a great day! Also the guys taking care of the parking lot up by the resort were awesome and friendly.
Chris Hasewinkle
I was very pleasantly surprised with the slopes at Lee Canyon on Mt. Charleston. We went up on a day that it was actually snowing and the three slopes that were open were great. A free coaching session was included in the package ($92) that got us equipment and a lift pass. Since it was my gfs first time, the coaching session was great.
They appeared to have snow machines and I know that the snow level can be inconsistent, but I'd still say this a great place to have fun without breaking the bank or traveling too far from Vegas. Only experts would probably want to look for something more challenging, but I'm not one, so just making an assumption there.
Overall I had a great time and would definitely go back when there is snow up there :)
Carl Kleine-Weischede
Great place to break away from the hustle and bustle and dazzle of Las Vegas. Only an hour drive from the Strip, this is paradise for winter sports. Be sure to wear layers of winter clothes, too cold, temperature drops quickly! Scenic drive before you reach Lee Canyon, Mount Charleston is marvelous!
You pay $10 for a day parking, enough parking lots. There is a restaurant but crowded and not enough seats during peak season. A lot of people during the Holidays and they ran out most of the favourite foods like chili fries to name a few. Fair price though!
Toilet facilities are not well maintained !
Scott Klein
Had an amazing time at Lee Canyon learning to ski for the first time with my family. Gorgeous scenery and amazing staff that were extremely helpful and accommodating to my family and I. Our ski instructor, Jessica, in particular went above and beyond for us.
Joel S
First time snow boarder! Staff trickled through out the park handing out advice. Really really enjoyed myself. Good rental equipment too. No signal up there for your phone but Wi-Fi available at the cafe
Day Trader
Majestic and cool about 60 degrees at near midnight approximately 8500 feet up at gates into Lee Canyon. Though the Ski lift was closed. I just sat and enjoyed the absolute quiet. And gazed ar the stars unseeable from the city. The place is open for summer 10am-6pm. Activities available and you can ride the lift higher to over 9000 above sea level. Last daily lift ride is 530pm. Get there with plenty of time to enjoy the all inclusive experience.
Ron Suisa
Had so much fun snowboarding there! I'm not a pro but I like doing that the tracks are nice and they have instructors to explain how to do it for beginners for free. The little bar&restaurant there is good too. The parking costs like 5 bucks or something like that. Try getting there really early they open at 9 I think so you can enjoy the whole day because they close at 4. Going every time I go to Vegas it's so much fun!
Jeremy Wiley
Good quick place to hit the slopes! Nice little playground with rails and jumps. Can’t beet how close it is to Vegas.
Brian
I brought my son here after a friend told us about this place and I was so glad they mentioned this before our trip to Vegas. With such a short 45-60 minute drive, I had to jump on this chance to get some skiing in that I haven't got to do in a while.
The staff are are so friendly and helpful. From the guy who checked us in, to the gear rental folks who were patient, and the ski instructors. Thanks for the military discount guys! That was way cool of you to do even for us former military guys.
There is all kinds of skiing available for different skill levels and the scenery is awesome with the piney woods and views of the desert in the distance.
We totally enjoyed our time here and can't wait to come back again. If communication with the rest of the world is important to you, there is no cell phone signal and I could not connect via wifi which was fine with me. It's great to disconnect with the rest of the world and enjoy some ski time.
Don Allen
Always a treat when you visit Las Vegas. Get off the beaten path of the strip and explore Vegas outdoors. We do this every year traveling from Houston Tx on Christmas Day. We love it as a winter getaway. Nice crisp evenings makes for more enjoyable walks and daily hikes. Snow always in the mountains. Hats off to Nevada DOT for maintaining excellent communication on road closures etc. I was so afraid we were not going to get a chance to get up into the mountains this year visit due to the big winter storm that came through however we finally made it and was it gorgeous! No chains needed on this particular day and it was our final day and conditions were excellent. Clear skies , cold temperatures, excellent road conditions, and snow everywhere!😮ground and mountains covered in snow! A must see winter scene for your eyes! Lee Canyon never disappoints for our winter wonderland!
Globe Trotter
Great escape from the Vegas heat. Many trails and some activities up there.
A whole different environment at 8.000 feet
It turns into a winter wonderland between Dec.and March

The first place I visited after hearing about it from my friends. The children made reservations for snowboarding lessons, and the groom also asked the staff to apply for private lessons that day. My butt hurts because I fell down after learning it for the first time haha, but I was satisfied.

So nice. My kids loved the snow!

Girl in the rentals with a heart tattoo un the face doesn't know how to give a good costumer service, the other guys were perfect!
Rental it's a little but expensive and for sure have to do some kind of discount for locals, no all of us want to spend in the pass...

Beautiful destination around Mount charleston

Lee Canyon is about and hour drive from the Las Vegas Strip. I would venture out to say that it is the best winter hotspot in Las Vegas with great landscape views and snow capped mountains. We went this past weekend (1/12/19) for skiing/snowboarding and had a blast. They have a rental and lift pass package special that I would highly recommend ordering online a few days before you plan to go. They have 3 lifts serving multiple slopes. Great for beginners to more advanced skiiers/boarders. There is only one spot for eating at the slopes which is okay for a quick bite. However, if your are looking for something nicer, there is a great tavern restaurant and resort Lodge on the other side of Mt Charleston. Dress warm and have fun 🏂🏽.

Great place to hike for most of the year and during the winter the slopes are great for snowboarding or skiing. I take my family every year.

We had a lot of snow this year. During the first two weeks of ski season here I was scraping rocks and tripping over everything in the trees. Now, after a bunch of snow, it's pretty amazing for such a little mountain. Careful on safety, it's a party mountain and a lot of trashy people seem to come up. They litter, throw the snow boards down there mountain when they had enough and they sit and block the paths. It's like they never heard of moving to the side when taking a break. Respect others.

Fun place to go play in the snow. Not far from the strip. Nice drive up.

Beautiful it's definitely worth the drive

Great place to cool off from Vegas summer heat. At least 30 degrees cooler. Always a lot of hikes in the area. Make sure you fuel up as no gas anywhere nearby. Oh yes. You can find feral horses here too!

We had so much in the snow on NYE without driving too far from Vegas. If you're looking for snow area to play with, just stop by the lodge past visitor center and no need to drive all the way up to the ski resort which 4WD or chains is required

Lots of good hiking very beautiful even has a little Ski Resort that's open on the weekends Friday Saturday and Sunday

Superb place!!! perfect spot for outdoor activities in summer time. Can't get any better near vegas

Wonderful summer cooling off experience. Much needed get away from Las Vegas heat. They have a very nice chairlift to a beautiful lookout.
Frank Giannantonio
One of the best places to escape the heat. The restaurant is gorgeous and there's a lot to do like archery, disc golf and lift rides.

Summer activities like axe throwing ,trails, chair lifts , lots of picnic areas .

Parking can be sketchy at times and the snow isn't always the greatest, but it's only 45 min from the strip. They have ski and snowboard rentals if you don't have your own. There are 3 lifts and the place is generally wide open on the weekdays. Holiday weekends can get crowded at times. Make sure to check road conditions before you go because you will need 4wd or chains at times.

It was awesome me and my boyfriend had a great time walking around and enjoying all the views

After hiking my friend's took me over to Lee's Canyon. What an awesome surprise. We had no idea that they had so much going on. We decided to take the ski lift up for the view. If we'd had more time I would have done more. Beautiful feral horses grazed on the mountain side.

Small place but friendly employees. Was not busy at all because it was warm out. Great views and fun drive. When I say warm it was about 53 degrees. Great pricing on season passes for the winter. They also have a very nice but very small bar.
El Chino Tacos
El chino tacos did a catering event for Carlo and Taylor Parede wedding on sept 8 2018. Beautiful venue 70 degrees , wild horses roaming. Ski lifts were open for scenic viewing. Friendly staff were very helpful. Highly recommended.

Lee Canyon is an intimate skiing and snowboarding experience. Most staff is super friendly and polite. The lodge, though small and older, is kept up well. They do a great job maintaining and grooming their runs. It's amazing what they can do for being in the middle of the desert. I've been going for many years and will continue to board here for years to come.

This is a small ski area that packs a punch! It is affordable, and such a fun way to get out of Las Vegas and into an alpine environment.
The slopes are filled with beginners, but there is great tree runs, and a decent park. There is hardly even any lift lines despite the lack of a high speed quad.
Their bar and food is so awesome, and they have a big outdoor seating area which is great for enjoying a beer and some tunes.
Snow coverage is decent, but not guaranteed. Be careful!

Beautiful! The pictures speak for itself... Ohhhhhh!!! If you go... Get the pretzel. I promise you won't be disappointed. Probably the best pretzel I've ever had!

A tad far to drive, almost an hour from Las Vegas, but worth it if you plan on spending a day during the weekend. Temperature feels soooo good. 10 to 15 or more degrees cooler than LV. And at 8000 ft the air feels so clear and fresh. So much to do: hiking the Bristlecone trail, riding the chair lift, throwing axes, archery, even corn hole. We like to take a picnic for early lunch then get a more substantial meal at one of the 3 eateries. It all closes down at 5 which is good. Easy drive home.

Great views. Ski lifts available on the weekends. Nearby hikes. Picturesque

August was a sight to see w/out the snow. Weather forecast during the day low 80' night low 60's

I can’t believe that anyone would ever pass on an outdoor adventure like this!
Against the backdrop of the barren Nevada desert and the city scape of Las Vegas, you wouldn’t know what nature has been working on for the last 1,000 years unless you see it for yourself.
. Don’t miss this! .
Holly Kelsven
Loved the hiking, archery, and the coffee shop. Thought the Bristlecone Restaurant could use more options. Food was ok, but those gorgeous mountain views more than made up for it!
Chelle
This view is beautiful! Love the skiing here. The ski instructors are the bomb, so knowledgeable and friendly. Love coming here

What a fun resort! They have a great collection of resturants and bars to eat and drink at. Great prices for lift tickets and pretty easy to get to. My experience with the rental team/staff was not my favorite as positive, kind attitudes and helpfulness seemed low on the list. After I was set to go the slopes were fun and I look forward to coming back with my own gear

Everything was just beautiful! Nice trails and a great place to get away from the city and heat in Las Vegas. I definitely will go back.

As a local skier I like ski at Lee Canyon conveniently located in one day trip by myself. Plus easy to access to the ski slop from the parking lot.
When snowed it’s beautiful scenery going up on the lift chair. I enjoyed much skiing at Lee Canyon every ski season as a weekday warrior season pass holder, too!

I think it's incredible that Las Vegas has such a hidden gem. My family and I have season passes and we consider it an escape from Las Vegas. Small but fun mountain with 3 lifts. Bunny hill is perfect for a beginner and they just added a snow tubing. Fun for everyone. Be prepared for no mobile cell service.

New facilities and great snow.Go! Cute, easy mountain with 3 lifts 48 mins from vegas!

Truly a lovely place so close to Vegas. Great to visit year round. Parking is tight when it’s busy, but worth it.

I've lived here for about a year now and have found great hiking in Lee Canyon - during the hot or cold season. Came to check it out with some of the snow on the mountain, it was majestic! Such a nice route to get out of the Valley in Vegas. A must see!!

Beautiful canyon. LOTS of areas to camp, great hiking trails, and very easily accessible. Only about 40 miles north from Downtown Las Vegas. Make sure during the ski season you have tires or chains as the roads can be a little rough. Ski Lodge at the bottom of the canyon however it is still about another 12 miles up the mountain till you get to the ski area.

in the winter months, in less than an hour from Las Vegas, you can drive to a small ski area, it quite a beautiful little drive from Las Vegas
